My daughters and I truly enjoyed our first visit there about a month ago. We were greeted by Melissa, who was our server. the food was awesome, the atmosphere exceptional, and appealing. But the service was astounding. Melissa made the afternoon enjoyable. all the servers do there job, but Melissa i felt above and beyond. I could see how she served other tables. I saw how she was with one family. A gentleman at that table had tears in his eyes praising her, truly appreciating her. i heard some of there conversations, i could tell her impact/importance she has made on him. he looked familiar, than I remembered who he was. i accidentally ran into him recently, he was doing some work at my neighbors in bolton, we talked about Symposium bolton. i said how i saw him but didnt recognize him right away that sunday. We talked about bolton Symposium. He only said one word. with a tear in his eye, he said Melissa. didnt say another word his time working. as for Symposium bolton. I will definitely be back there.

Sorry for repost, accidentally deleted it at 2am last night, oops. My family, friends, and I have been coming to Symposium bolton for 3 years now. From our first visit, to last. The food, the atmosphere, and the service top notch. 10+ all around The food, is awesome, very tasty. portions are enormous, and the prices are bang on. The atmosphere is amazing, its like the show/song cheers, where everybody knows your name. Each time I am there, always run into people I know. The staff makes it feel like home. Save the best to last. the service. All our/my visits every server, from bartender to management, to waitress all of them do an awesome. Not to offend anyone, Melissa stands out beyond infinity. She has been our server from day 1. Melissa has a heart of gold++, drive, and exceptional character, that none compare to. She makes our visits more enjoyable each and every time. Our most recent visit there was to celebrate my 50th. I had friends, co workers take me out here and there. The family sit down/cake had to be at Symposium bolton. I wouldnt have gone anywhere else.I walked in, a lady asked to serve us, I said if you dont mind, I would enjoy having Melissa serve us. Melissas presence more valuable than anything, made my day perfect. From the entrance to the finish, Melissa was beyond amazing. Always on top of things, made sure we were always cared for. Melissa does this for all her clients. Ive seen this for 3 plus years. She is unique, in a league of her own. She has drive, passion for her job, including hairstylist, few of my friends have had hair done by her. She is beyond this world She just has it!! she is a precious gem, value her personality, heart beyond. they truly truly broke the mold when they made her. she has permanent spot in my heart.

Tenisha was awesome!!!! Service was fast and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. She even went out of her way to make sure my seat was clean. Very personable and easy to talk to. The answers she didn t know she asked. I had to catch a movie and she had my order rushed. It was truly an amazing experience. This is my favourite symposium, Tanisha just made it soooooo much better!

I thought everything about my experience was great

I ordered the pineapple salad, of which avocado was part of the salad, however after been served I realized there was no avocado , just a large heap of romaine lettuce, four cherry tomatoes and one dole canned pineapple slice which was grilled . I called over the waitress to notify her that the salad was missing the avocado, upon her returned, I was told there are no more sliced avocado and instead she handed me a small container with GUACAMOLE. I was shocked, the proper way to go was to let me know that there was no sliced avocado and then I would select something else. I was not impressed at all ,and bear in mind this salad cost $19.00 . Not even offering me a discount. I wont be back . Sorry Magdalene a very unhappy first time visitor .

Had such an amazing experience food was delicious, and my server Teneshia was quick and efficient, she made the best espresso martini I ve ever tasted. Definitely coming back.

Possibly some of the greatest desserts on offer in Bolton. Visited the dessert and cafe bar a month ago, already hooked onto this place! The staff working the bakery goods and cafe are some of the best within the establishment. They were informative with the options, kind enough to offer their personal favourites (their taste did not disappoint!), and were really generous!! I frequent the cafe on my cheat days now, I can t recommend enough for people to try out that fudge brownie cheesecake (literal addiction on a fork), and the sky high hummingbird cake. Thank you Vanessa and Alexis! See you guys next week, the bane of my calorie deficit haha. Parking: Gigantic parking lot, spacious for any sized vehicle. Especially my Ford F-150. It s even close to a movie theatre for extra entertainment on top of the great food.

I ve been to many symposium locations but this one tops it by far!! Alexis was our server tonight. She was so welcoming & kind, checked up on us but wasn t hovering!! She was so quick to bring our food and drinks over. We will definitely be back soon!!

The food was pretty bland. There was a lot of onions in my omelette. Not enough seasoning. The service was amazing though. The atmosphere I gave it to because there was another group of people around us that was talking very loudly and we can barely hear ourselves. Other than that, not much to talk about. Food is overpriced. A simple burger with a few pieces of lettuce cost $30. Paid $3 extra for vegetables .. they put one mushroom and a slice of zucchini in the burger. Salad was wilted .. mustve been from the day before. And they automatically charge an 18% tip .. really? Wont be going back there.

We had Symposium cater our event yesterday. The food was phenomenal, the service was great. I Definitely use them again.

As a brunch enthusiast, I was looking for a new spot to go with a friend. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and drinks came right away. My friend follows a special intolerance diet and our server Melissa and Marilla the manager were very attentive to ensure the food matched her requirements. Our meals were delicious and we had a lovely time.

For lunch October 16th have been in a few times before and it was great this time do not know if it was a new cook or under staff in the kitchen but it was not the same I had fish and chips the fish was so over cooked, the coleslaw had no taste what so ever the only thing that was good was the fries. My husband had the mussels most of the mussels were not even open so they were no good the blond waitress we had took her so long to get stuff you asked for yes it was busy she could not manage the tables she had normally when we go in for lunch we have a waitress with the black hair she is excellent but this time we did not have her and the service and food was not the same at all

Do not order anything that needs maple syrup!! They will automatically give you TABLE SYRUP pre-packaged. It was awful! I took it home because I at least have fake maple syrup there! A customer at a nearby booth showed me the menu where if you want real maple syrup it costs $3.50! For about an ounce that needs to cover 3 pancakes!

Severely disappointed in this place. Found out they applied for foreign workers as cooks instead of hiring locals. Didnt think a place like this would be interested in wage suppression and not giving citizens of bolton jobs.

Three friends went there for lunch. The place was beautiful and atmosphere was delightful. Ample parking close to restaurant. Our waitress was not what was expected. She was cold and didn t listen to our drink order which was water. lol and got it wrong. Served us coke lol. She came back for our food order and was still very cold. When our food came we asked if she could take our pic , as she walked away, she said she would come back. She never did. Brought the bill and we paid. The service from this particular person was not what should be expected from such a nice place. If I should go back , I will know what to expect if I get her again

Red flag when they wont post prices on menu

Having enjoyed other locations, I visited the Bolton location knowing I was guaranteed a good meal. Our server and food were great, but while in the washroom after lunch, I observed a server visit the restroom and exit without washing her hands. This turned me off my whole experience. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and am hoping she washed her hands in a staff sink, however anyone handling food should be immediately washing their hands even if just entering the washroom, nevermind a stall. Thankfully she was not our server but still this will stop me from visiting in the future.

During our brunch experience, my family and I savored delicious dishes complemented by attentive service. While the price leans towards the higher side, the overall experience was worthwhile.

It was a nice experience to have a weekend dinner plan. Food is nice and have great options for desserts and drinks. Victoria was serving us that evening and shes lovely. She was very quick, polite and respectful.

Cozy and friendly atmosphere!

Symposium s food quality has gone down in a big way, prices have gone up in a big way! The little packets of marmalade jam were solid and couldn t be cut into. The Canadian bacon tasted off on eggs Benedict, very disappointing!

Food was good my drink was awful I ordered a Moscow mule that had no alcohol in it and it tasted like a sprite and an aperol spritz that was pretty much all champagne and our server (laylah) never comes to our table will walk by our table multiple times it took me having to yell to get her attentions to ask for the bill, also this is the second time I have had this server and unfortunately there is no change

Good variety on the menu, a place you can visit morning noon and night with consistent quality.

We expected a better preparation for the plates and some of the drinks. Fettuccine Carbonara ordered by my wife lacked of the real ingredients (bacon). Burger Symposium I asked was bland, not really tasty, nothing special for the $19 that I payed. At least one third of my Aperol Sprit was ice! For the $250 we spent I rather go to another restaurant.

Southern chicken with fries and gravy was extremely salty and they gave a very small piece of fried chicken. Total cost for just the meal was around $30 (spent $90 in total for 2 people with a modest tip). Absolute rip-off for inedible food.

Love this Symposium location in Bolton. Our go to place as it never disappoints. Service is great. Staff are very friendly. Enjoyed the Symposium homemade burger. Big Menu, something for everyone.

Could use some specials or new menu items. The menu is large and nothing that really sticks out. Service is typically slow.

Ordered take out and it was the best Ive had in awhile. The kind professional manner of the woman taking out order and the food was great!

Not sure what happened. We came for dinner as a large party and the overall consensus was never again. Food was tasteless and bland. We usually enjoy the food and experience but unfortunately it s time to move on.

Food was just ok, the environment was not so welcoming..we were five guests with a baby (total 6). We asked for baby seat..reminded twice but still had to go grab it ourselves. Also, the table for 6 has a pillar that blocks the view of people sitting beside you..so the person sitting other side of pillar cant talk to the one sitting on the this side of pillar. I mean its even hard to explain. Weird setup of table. Poor service and not great food overall.

I came here with 8 of my friends Jan 20th, the first red flag should have been how unnecessary large the menus, even the drink menu is gigantic. The server was super nice, and took her time taking our orders. Second red flag was the ice coffees (iced lattes) tastes like coffee water. When our foods arrived, we ordered some breakfast items, and some lunch items. The poutine gravy tasted very off, the chicken in the chicken souvlaki was super dry and chewy. The waffles taste like eggos (which isn t terrible but it s a restaurant come on) The potatoes with the breakfast was good though. California chicken burger was very dry and chewy as well. 6/8 of my table did not finish even half of their meals, and it s a shame so much food was wasted. The milkshake was good. To be completely honest, I ve never been to a restaurant and the food actually tasted off and bad. I don t usually leave reviews but just astonished on how bad the cooking was done. Definitely nothing tasted fresh, everything is probably frozen. Dennys tastes a lot better, and that s saying a lot. The servers did well to accommodate; and were very understanding. The chefs need to be fired or revisit a culinary school. Myself with 0 cooking experience, could probably cook everything we ordered better then what the chefs cooked up. Went here to meet up with another couple for brunch. Atmosphere was OK and servers were good. We ordered breakfast and the bf ordered chicken sandwich. When he got his it STUNK of fish. Took one bite and it had such a weird taste. Not chicken. The servers took it back and off our bill. Asked if he wanted anything else but at that point our appetite was ruined. Probably wouldnt go back.

Never been to symposium, but I was in the Bolton area are decided to get some dinner here before going to the movies. I heard real great things about this franchise but I guess this location just was not it. I got the chicken parmesan and fish&chips. Food was super bland, the alfredo sauce of the parm was just very sad and the chicken was so hard to pull apart and eat. The side bread was the best part of this plate. The fish and chips was just mid. No seasoning and very oily. They lucky I was hungry and was in a time crunch for the movies or it would have just been better to go to a different restaurant.

Amazing place for Brunch with friends. This time i had the BLT sandwich and avocado toast with a side of potatoes. Also, ice cream cookie sundae for $9.95. Drink were also good: Starberry-Banana-orange juice and Vanilla Latte for $5.95 each I believe Really good service, it is my 3rd visit

The food is always delicious but I have to say that my favourite part of coming to Symposium in Bolton is the kind and welcoming staff. Our server Layla was very attentive and friendly. When I asked for a wine recommendation she was quick to offer options along with detailed information for each choice. The red wine choice was wonderful and she even shared her knowledge of wine and wine tasting with me at the table. An awesome experience! I will definitely be making this one of my go-to spots in town

The food and service here is not good at all. I ordered chicken fettucino alfredo here and they served burnt grilled chicken in it which tasted bitter. The food was super bland too. Also the service was super slow. They didnt even come for 15 mins after asking for check.

Decent place to get a bite to eat before or after a movie. Food won t blow you away, but you get what you pay for. Had the wings and ribs combo and both were good.

We were in a hurry to catch a movie, and our server was delightful. Both our meals were tasty and fresh, accommodating to add some spice to the seafood pasta too. Their selection of cakes is amazing! I had to order one to go for after the movie, because they all looked so delicious. Some cakes are on menu all the time, others are seasonal and rotation, but many options. The restaurant was clean and had a lively atmosphere. The patio looked inviting, although we sat inside.

Myself and a few friends went to Symposium Bolton on Friday night and the desserts were the best we ve had at this location! The presentation was beautiful. Staff is very welcoming and attentive in general. Will definitely be returning!

Dont let the simple facade fool you. There is deliciousness waiting behind these doors! Once inside, let the classic decor whisk you away to ancient times. Friendly staff greet you, and the chefs provide quality helpings ensuring your stomach distends! Im dying to return to be seduced by their chicken and waffles! Ill be dreaming about this devilish twosome until then!

I had two incorrect orders from Skip the Dishes. I called to speak with the manager Chris. He was extremely, helpful, apologetic and immediately rectified the issue. Its hard to find good service these days and the staff went above and beyond!

We visited on Saturday night, at dinner time. We were 1 of 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant.The chef on duty must have had an off night. My Shrimp Alfredo was more Butter linguine than Alfredo, there was no cream, no garlic, just coagulated butter. My partner ordered the Thai Chicken Bowl, found the chicken texture to be similar to cardboard drenched in sauce. Unfortunately he ended up quite ill 40 mins later, seriously debated going to the hospital. On the upside, the ambiance was great, the staff wonderful & the dusted shrimp appetizer was amazing. Overall it wouldnt be on my short list of places to eat next time were in Bolton.

My favourite restaurant, amazing food and beautiful decore. My favourite is the spinach dip with soft pita but everything Ive tried I loved. Great quality and service at every Symposium location Ive gone too as well.

I came with my friends to symposium cafe, and we got served by nick! he was absolutely amazing, he was funny, nice and also made sure our food came out fast. The food was so good. I came for brunch so I got the eggs benedict and it was perfect.

Ordered a cake slice. Its too stale and dry. Not worth the $16 price point. Also the whipped cream on side is canned whipped cream, not fresh. Really Disappointed:(

My family and I went out for a dinner here and expectations were surpassed.The chicken and waffles was an odd combo but good nevertheless and the vanila shake was very creamy and flavorful.Very much recommend for you and your family.The kids menu is a little basic and small I will say.Our server Katherine was amazing.I would recommend to anyone

My friends and I went to this location for the first time. We ordered an appetizer that consisted of pita bread and some dip. Halfway into eating it when we looked closely at the pita bread it had mold on it. It was so gross. Talked to our waitress and she just apologized and took it away. Luckily none of us got sick. Never eating here again.

I had the teriyaki bowl and it was inedible, It was drowning in sauce. I picked out the protein and took it go thinking I could take it home and try to add rice and veggies. I asked the server to tell the chef, way too much sauce. She said he hates making the bowls, he has to put that much sauce. Youre the chef, you know its awful, stop doing it! For $28, I wont be back.

Dinner was excellent

The salmon was under cooked hard to chew, the blt sandwich was dry. The frys were good. The service was slow and not friendly. I wouldnt recommend coming here it was my first and last time. New to Bolton!

Beyond disappointed in the chicken parm, it is worst than cafeteria food. Ate less than 3 bites and gave up. They charged me for the meal and didn t offer to bring something else. Paid and left! Definitely bad approach to service if they want to keep customers!

The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and when we walked in we were swiftly and kindly greeted and guided to a table. Our waitress Melissa (or Mel) was awesome! So kind and sweet, as well as very fun to talk to! The food was phenomenal, and quite affordable for two people. I would definitely recommend this place and would 100% go again. A massive thank you to Melissa for being so awesome, had to give her a shoutout in this review because she was great!
