Wine Spot is Bolton's only wine and craft cocktail bar and restaurant. To us, craft cocktail means more than just a beverage “made skillfully by hand”. It means sourcing the freshest juices, making our syrups and honeys in house, finding premium and unique liquors, precisely measuring each and every ingredient, and constantly innovating and challenging ourselves. To us, using the term Craft Cocktail is a responsibility we don’t take lightly, and we hope you taste it in every drink we serve.
This is a very cute spot with a great vibe. Service was wonderful and I would definitely return to try some different dishes. Unfortunately, the red wine burger wasn’t great and the fries and calamari were both incredibly salty. I will still return because I’m sure not everything is salty. My husband did enjoy his smash burger though.
LOVE this restaurant in downtown Bolton. Delicious food, very friendly service and a wonderful wine list. A must try!
Had a great night at wine spot the food and drinks were so yummy, and our server was a doll
We had our daughter’s baptism reception at Wine Spot today. The atmosphere was cozy, intimate & chic. We ordered the mini pancakes, chicken & waffles, and the honey apple double grilled cheese- absolutely delicious!!! Our waitress, Ashley, was very patient, friendly, and attentive. Thank you for making our first experience at Wine Spot an enjoyable one! We will be back!
Our first visit here and we will for sure be back. Wanted a place that was a little 'more' than usual to take my partner for brunch and Wine Spot delivered. Everything was wonderful... their breakfast tacos....yes!!! 👌 Next we try an evening .
The wine spot has a very nice vibe. It’s a relaxed dining experience and we didn’t feel rushed. The drinks were delicious, the food was ok. We had the mild chicken wings, brie bites and charcuterie board and creme brûlée. The “mild” sauce was quite spicy and would more accurately be described as a buffalo sauce. The brie bites were lacking in seasoning, the sauce served with them was rather bland. The charcuterie board was a nice size for the price but there were only 4 small slices of bread to eat the variety of meats and cheeses with. The creme brûlée was a little burnt on top. Would come back for drinks for sure.
Came here for our anniversary this past Saturday. Nice location, we were greeted at the front door and taken to our outdoor table which was the back of the restaurant. Very nice server and the layout was also nice. Ordered calamari for appetizer, Charcuterie and Flakie board for dessert...all were nicely done...very fresh. Wine was nice as well. Here are my reasons why I didn't give 5 stars: - the back of the restaurant wasn't classy enough for that type of restaurant, should have tried better to hide the backs of the other restaurants maybe those artificial ivy hedge wall or lattice with some plants etc. Also needs to be on a deck of some sort, not inexpensive fake grass. They were using a line dividers to close in the area. - the board was suppose to come with fresh bread. It had crostini bread instead. Sure it was still fresh but we found that wasn't enough for the amount of toppings so we asked for a little more which they brought out for us but charged us an additional $2; it's not that much but a little tight considering the prices. They should watch "give them the pickle" :) - We like having a nice drip coffee or cappuccino with our dessert but they only had expresso. We suggested an Americano but the server said that they didn't have regular coffee cups (for water), only cappuccino cups. I had to go to Tim Horton's across the street and bring back to my table...this would have been challenging if I was sitting inside. Listen, I'm sure that these are growing pains as they are new and I hope that the owner takes this criticism constructively. I even invite a response as it would probably support a return one day to "check up". One suggestion that I have is for the owner to take a trip to London and check out "The Singing Chef" for breakfast on the weekend. Wow... the manager is sharp, always moving, checking in with his staff, patrons (didn't see this) and all this while he was smiling and laughing...it was a wonderful thing to see. Come to think of it, I need to go and do a review on them!
My wife and I went for our 15th anniversary and were really impressed. The atmosphere is casual which is a welcome as you can go for any occasion or reason. We ordered the meat and cheese charcuterie board as well as the steak board (which was cooked perfectly) complimented with the wine taste sampler. To finish it off we tried the Flakie and coffee for desert. I highly recomend this place and will definitely be back. The service was exceptional, ambiance was great and the pricing is well worth it all. Made my 15th anniversary with the wife a memorable time, thank you The Wine Spot Bolton
Came here with my wife, I loved the ambience. The server was friendly and sweet. The drinks were good, wasnt a fan of the food but it wasnt bad. Love the place and the bartender shes fun.
What a cute lil place with such a nice bartender/server! Sara, your bubbly personality just made this experience even better than expected. Stopped here for a quick drink and ended up staying for a few extra rounds and a bite! Food was ok , drinks were out of this world. This girl took care of the whole restaraunt and bar on her own like nothing. Very good job
This place has a fun vibe w happy staff and great food. My coworkers and I really enjoy it. (And food is good- from wings to pasta). Only real dig is lack of actual wine (and beer) selection but overall- a favorite spot.
cute little place, trivia night was fun we enjoyed the vibes and the food
Awesome friendly bartender with lots of knowledge. Had some tasty sliders with some really nice cocktails
We had reservations for 2 but then friends came and they accommodated us to a bigger table. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. It was wing night and the food was delicious! We will be returning! We enjoyed the trivia game night.
We are so lucky to have a place like Wine Spot right in our community! Finally, there s no need to go downtown to find a sophisticated, understated and elegant venue where you can get together with friends. Tonight, we celebrated a special occasion and we could not have been happier with the food, the drinks, the service and the AMAZING ambiance! Where else can you find a local place that offers history and hospitality, all rolled into one beautiful little hideaway at a reasonable price? Cannot wait to go back. In fact, can t wait to make Wine Spot a weekly tradition! Tout était parfait. XOXO
Great spot to hang out with friends
Was taken to this spot by a family member, as they live in Bolton. Atmosphere, intimate. Service, very personal. Drinks, exciting and fun. Food, delicious and impressive. Excellent local/neighborhood resto/bar and would highly recommend ... and certainly would often frequent, if I was local.
The exposed brick walls and decor makes this place a warm and romantic setting. Our server, Erin, was exceptional. Her attitude was bubbly and helpful, which made our experience exceptional. The food was delicious, portions are not huge, but enough that you could enjoy everything. Its a great to go when you want a peaceful and quiet time.
I went to the restaurant and ordered a white pasta and found a huge black hair in my food. Addressed it to the waitress she said sorry andcame back with the same pasta. The bread was petty thinnslice. And the wine was over priced. Iwill never go there again. Ppl please think twice before going.
A bit over priced and under poured. Would enjoy another glass of wine or drink if they were more than a few sips for the price point. Owner I presume isn t welcoming to some people and treated a family member poorly recently. Place is nice just needs a friendlier atmosphere, better food and a bit more in the glass.
Had the beef pappardelle which was delicious, but very little beef, just tinly little bits in the sauce. It was a small bowl, and the crustini was wafer thin. I left still hungry. Very nice atmosphere and service. Food
Good atmosphere and attention. The prices are a little high and it was quite cold inside the day we went
Had an amazing experience from the moment we arrived! The staff were very welcoming! We were celebrating my friend s birthday and they had a rose and card placed at our table for my friend. That was a beautiful gesture! It was a quiet night so I gave the atmosphere a 3 star. The place is quaint and a cozy feeling. Adamo was our server, he took great care of us & provided us with excellent suggestions. Food was top notch! We will be back!
Adamo and Matt were just fantastic! We love going to The Wine Spot, especially at our table for our catch up visits. The food and drinks are stellar!!
Disappointing. Although the atmosphere and cocktails make for a great experience, the food was a huge letdown. We left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. The app was a brie with ham and fig jam, and was on huge pieces of baguette. Could have easily been made better by doing smaller crostinis and providing more. We were left to having to break them up to try and share even though we clarified quantity and if its shareable before ordering. For my main I had the seafood pasta which was like a kids meal. The menu describes it as Cajun seasoning. When it came it was a butter pasta with 3 shrimp and 4 mussels with maybe a handful of pasta. Everything overall was extremely bland and unimpressive. Would say I would go back for drinks because those were good but as youre drinking if theres nothing to eat then whats the point. There are better options out there.
It s a tiny and cozy atmosphere. Could have used a warm fireplace inside for the cold winter night. But it makes a big impression. The cocktail and wine list is a treat, featuring delicious cocktails and affordable wines. We had the Classic and Spicy Margaritas, best Ive had in years. Mexican Poutine was a nice size tasty and filling. Followed by the 3 Tacos...Smokey Tenderloin Taco, Battered Shrimp Taco, Chicken Taco, all delicious and fresh this is Taco perfection! Friendly service. Will definitely be going back again.
Love being a guest here, so relaxing and delicious food. Matt & his wife didn t disappoint. Amazing food, great vibe! Coming back every bi-weekly for a date night with hubby. A must try place. Valentines night done right!
Great food, atmosphere and excellent serive.
Great drinks and service! Highly recommend
Met a couple friends here just before Christmas. Nice ambiance and friendly staff.
Great spot and intimate vibes for drinks in downtown Bolton!!! Always enjoy coming here...highly recommend!!
Celebrated my birthday here. Everyone had a great time! Staff was outstanding, as always, and the food was delicious. Everyone was stuffed! Lots of drinks had by all. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and will always recommend an amazing drink. Great place to discover what drinks you really love and didnt even know ;) Cant wait to go back!!!
Had the best time at The Wine Spot tonight. Amazing service and really great food. We had a small problem with one thing we ordered and it was fixed right away. The chef even came out to make sure we were happy. Will definitely go back and would recommend to try it out.
A lovely place to dine! Food and services were great!
My wife and I were looking for a different place to do dinner and the Wine Spot popped up. Now we live in Brampton so it was quite the drive to get to Bolton. Luckily for us, it was more than worth the drive! Great ambiance, tasty wine and a good selection of food options. But what made the night for us was the service. The wait staff was extremely friendly and accommodating (was able to change our order minutes after placing it when we wanted to make a change). The owner was extremely friendly and engaging and definitely made us enjoy our night even more. Well definitely visit again soon (... Need to try Taco Tuesday!)
Wine Spot was a great location for a birthday celebration with the girls. The food was delicious and great for sharing, cooked perfectly, and there was even a small selection of non-alcoholic drinks for those who prefer no alcohol. The space wasnt overly loud and service was quick. Looking forward to eating there again!
Great atmosphere. Drinks are amazing. Food was very good too. Good selection of everything. Food
The service was pleasant. My requests were met which was great. I felt the food was over priced. It was just ok. The footlong we had lacked flavour. The cheapest bottle of red wine was around $80, which is pretty steep when there are no other options. The atmosphere has potential.
What a fantastic night at The Wine Spot we had last night! We were 7 ladies on a moms night out and it was the perfect place for us. Intiminte and cozy, with incredible ambiance, The Wine Spot is Boltons best place for a night out. Incredible food and drink choices with a very downtown feel. It is the little things - from friendly, unobstrusive service and a fun atmosphere to amazing drinks and food to 4 red roses for the birthday ladies indicated on our reservation, Matt nailed it all. I highly recommend The Wine Spot for an intimate dinner with your significant other or fun gathering with friends. Try it out!
Not impressed at all. Except for the ambiance which is quite nice, this restaurant is sub-par in every respect. The server was inexperienced and tried at least 2-3 times to take away plates of food that were not finished yet, the calamari smelled and tasted like deep fryer oil, had no flavour, and came with only a tiny bit of sauce on the side, the lobster mac and cheese tasted off, the lettuce wraps were just okay . Very much overpriced for the sub-par quality of food. Luckily I had a gift card so this experience did not hurt so badly. I am very surprised by the Google reviews. I wouldn t be surprised if most of them are written by family and friends. Won t be back and do not recommend at all!
Parking: Parking right out front
Great atmosphere, awesome drink mixes and great service
First time here love the atmosphere and the service was top notch especially Erin, food was impeccable. Discover this hidden gem in Bolton
Had my wifes surprise 40th here on Saturday. From the incredible food, excellent service and friendly staff to all the help they provided with planning the party, everyone had a fantastic evening. We cant stop talking about what a great night it was. Thank you and well definitely be back soon.
Lamb Burger and Braised Short Ribs were AMAZING! Definitely will be back again!
Great place best pasta dish ever Beef parapadelle
We had a private event here. Food, drinks and service were incredible! Can honestly say we had the best time! Thank you Matt, for everything!!!
Great spot! Incredible food incredible service and ambience I would go back there again in a heartbeat...
This past weekend we celebrated my son s First Holy Communion and hosted the reception at the Wine Spot in Bolton. The owners Matt and Kimberly were very kind and accommodating. We had a large party of 20 people so we had the entire restaurant reserved for our special event. The owners are extremely kind and professional. The establishment is very clean, welcoming and friendly. Our waitress Hailey was very nice and engaging. Always checking in on us making sure that everything was fine and she served us with a smile and was always there when we needed her. The food is fantastic, and it was brought out in serving portions to be shared at the table, and while it may look like it is not a lot of food initially, I can assure you the food is plentiful, and we were so full and so satisfied. In fact our guests kept remarking how much food was being brought out but they ate almost everything because it s simply irresistible. Food is so delicious that everybody at our party had nothing but wonderful things to say. In fact, all of our guests were commenting how they cannot wait to come back and have some meals and dates at the Wine Spot. The calamari is out of this world unlike anything we ve ever had before. Everything is exceptionally delicious, all the meat selections, the charcuteries, skewers, cheeses, the vegetables were fresh, the wine was exceptional. The french fries were to die for, and all of the children at our party absolutely devoured all of their kid size menus that included chicken fingers and fries and grilled cheese sandwiches with delight. Towards the end of our meal, the chef Rodolfo came out, introduced himself, checked in on us, and made sure that we all enjoyed what we what he had cooked and we certainly all did. It is a fantastic environment, a warm and friendly vibe and it exceeded our expectations. Although our Italian side of the family is accustomed to the typical traditional banquet hall type setting for a a communion or other formal function, they all agreed and absolutely enjoyed how unique the experience was, how delicious the food was, how accommodating the staff was, and how well everything was put together for us. It was perfect! We would highly recommend the Wine Spot for private events or for date nights. We love this place and we are so happy to have a place like this in Bolton where we can go and eat delicious food and be treated with respect and kindness, and above all have fun. Thank you to everyone at the Wine Spot for making our son s special day so enjoyable and memorable! We are very happy customers and we can t wait to return for dinner and drinks!
Wine Spot is an amazing addition to downtown Bolton. My husband and I, visitors to Bolton, stopped in for one drink that turned into three because everything was so carefully crafted and delicious. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and conscientious in their craft. The cocktail menu is fantastic and well thought out, and the bartenders are willing and able to deliciously make whatever you d like. We didn t order food this time but everything I saw looked fantastic. I highly recommend stopping by and I look forward to having the opportunity to visit again!
One of my favourite spots in Bolton! You can always count on great everything when youre with a group or a date night.
Great place the food was so so good!
Great food and service. Our server Haley did an amazing job as well! Best sliders I ve had in a long time!
Amazing ! We did a private event and it was fantastic !! Food and drink on point !! Thank you so much !
Friendly staff, great food and drinks. Very welcoming.
We always love stopping by The Wine Spot, whether its for a drink after work or going out for a meal we always feel welcomed. The food is divine, fresh & served perfectly. The staff make experience phenomenal, and the atmosphere complements the experience and the local area. Ive brought friends and professional colleagues and will continue to do so.
Excellent service, delicious food, and wonderful drinks! The bartender has extensive knowledge and was very friendly. We will definitely be coming back!
Great place very filling
Really enjoyed the whole meal, wine and music experience but it was our server Erin that really made the night memorable. We ll definitely be back !
Food was great. Service was amazing, Erin our wait staff was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and very friendly. Live entertainment started at 9 and was a nice addition to the ambiance.
Always a great time here.
Won t go back to this restaurant, just wanted to support a local business, but so disappointed!
Id expected a larger portion of meal for the price of the food in the menu, the quality and the volume of food much match the price in a restaurant usually. secondly, the service was so Id thought we might be better off collecting our meal from the kitchen ourselves at times, which was shame. Id used to wonder why would a new restaurant not be able to stay open and succeed for very long in Bolton, Ontario and now I know why due to our visit this evening. If anyone is new in Bolton and would like to dine out at a place I can not see how I could recommend this location, i just would not be able to.
Went to The Wine Spot for the first time on Saturday, and had a wonderful experience! As soon as we walked in, we were transported to a cozy, dimly lit haven. The decor was a tasteful blend of vintage and modern, creating a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The low lighting and flickering candles on each table made for a romantic and soothing vibe. The live music added a fantastic dimension to the evening! The food was delicious!! We ordered the steak plate, Thai lettuce wraps, charcuterie, truffle fries, lava cake, sliders - all surpassing my expectations! Now on to the drinks - Matt s expertise in crafting cocktails was nothing short of impressive. He not only had an extensive knowledge of classic and contemporary drinks, but also a creative flair that resulted in unique and delicious concoctions. What stood out the most was his ability to engage with customers, recommending drinks based on individual preferences and providing a memorable personalized experience. His passion for mixology shone through in every drink he created! A truly memorable experience all around!
Private Function: We had our 25th anniversary party at the Wine Spot. Matt and Kimberly were great to work with. They were very accommodating to our specific needs. Staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. Our guests enjoyed the food very much, especially the Miami ribs, tacos and calamari. As promised there was more than enough food for all guests. We even had take home boxes. The restaurant is very well maintained and a great ambiance. We are very happy with our choice of the Wine Spot for our 25th. It exceeded our expectations!
Such a beautiful place. Great for date nights! Update a year later: STILL one of my favourite date night spots. Incredible staff and incredible food. Drinks are amazing too! Food : 5/5
My first visit to the Winespot in Bolton was very enjoyable. Price was reasonable and the service was exceptional. I will definitely be returning here in the near future. 5 stars all around.
Lmao.... I never leave reviews but I had to come on here asap. This might possibly be the worst food in the GTA im at a loss for words. Seriously. The serving sizes are for ants. Is this a result of shrinkflation? My wife and I are peeing our pants. WORST. FOOD. EVER CONGRATS GUYS!!!!
Typically don t leave reviews but I came for a date night Saturday night and had the most amazing time! Service was amazing, food was delicious, drinks were on point! I loved the green tai curry. Definitely will be back!
Awesome place to share with friends
Fantastic food, fantastic service and fantastic music. An overall 10/10 experience.
The food here is next level delicious.
Best restaurant experience in Bolton by far. Great food, nice vibes, live music Friday night, we really enjoyed ourselves.
We went there for dinner, just me and my husband. We ordered the calamari to share. It was nicely fried but very bland (no salt). He ordered the steak board with fries. The steak was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the Seafood Portofino spaghetti dish. It says that it has Cajun in it, but I found it a little too spicy. A large amount of Cajun was put in the pasta sauce. Pricing was reasonable. The service was slow. We arrived at 5:30 before the big rush and it still took almost an hour for us to get our entrees.
Love the atmosphere, staff, food and wine selection was amazing! We were served by the sweetest young lady named Maria Christina AKA MC who went above and beyond in her customer service! Highly recommend this place!
Bolton has been needing a spot like this and I m so thankful it s here! It s a beautiful space with exposed brick and lovely decor. The drinks are so good and the tapas are excellent. I had a smoked Old Fashioned - the best. Definitely recommend!
While so many local restaurants have had to pivot during these times and change their operation to take out, the Wine Spot has found a unique option for take out. Offering charcuterie box options (small, medium and large) with to go signature drink. We ordered a large charcuterie box with signature sours to go. We were NOT disappointed. The signature sours were the best whiskey sours that I have ever had. The charcuterie box was full with 5 different types of delicious cheeses, turkey, prosciutto and tasty little pieces of sausage. Along with plenty of crostini s and perfectly paired grainy mustard, chutney and the most flavourful honey to drizzle over the cheese. The 2 pepperoncini were a treat for my husband. We were so impressed with this charcuterie take out option that we are still talking about how delicious it was the next day. I highly e commend the drive to Bolton for this take out option. Looking forward to returning once everything opens back up again.
I cant wait to go back! This hidden gem is ideal for a date or an elegant ladies night out. Finally Bolton has a great spot to go.
CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS FINEST I called the Wine Spot tonight and for take out, they mentioned that they were closed BIT would make one for me reguardless. What a great way to show how dedicated they are to providing EXCELLENT customer service. This will be my go to spot for years to come. I wish you nothing but success.
Great quite intimate place. The shaved stake board and vegan board were just delicious will definitely recommend!
We ordered dinner as take out from the Wine Spot this evening. It exceeded every expectation! We are so happy they have opened close to home as it will definitely be our new spot!
Love this! Wine and charcuterie is our go-to! Wine s not over-priced, cozy atmosphere. Bolton needed something just like this.
So happy to have a place like this in Bolton!! Ate there for the first time this evening and the owner/staff couldn t have been more accommodating! Highly recommend you reserve in advance and truly enjoyed the tapas and relaxed atmosphere!!
Service, atmosphere, drinks and food were all amazing. We went for my friends birthday, and we had a great experience. I will definitely be going back.
Been waiting for a place like this in this area- it was amazing! Service was impeccable, lobster Mac and cheese was divine, and drinks were spectacular. Lovely spot for meeting with friends, love the vibes in this place. Will be back again soon!
What an amazing place to eat drink and have fun. The shareable dishes are outstanding. I F I could lick the bowls I would. Service was amazing. Absolutely loved and will be back many more times. Make a reservation so you are guaranteed seating.
Bolton needed a place like this. I enjoyed my visit, food was great, atmosphere was perfect, and service was top shelf. Wine list is good, only thing lacking with regards to wine is more high end cellar worthy bottles, but Im not sure these would sell well in Bolton? An alternative would be a cheaper corkage fee in and around $20-30 so that you can bring your heavy hitter bottles and not have to worry about food prep and clean up. Small suggestion for a place that does basically everything right. Would also suggest implementing cellar worthy beers such as Belgian ales (tilquin, cantillon, 3 fontinen etc...). I am definitely going back and recommend all in Bolton to check this place out. Even if youre within reasonable driving distance or passing through worth the stop.
Great spot in Bolton for drinks and apps! Wine menu is great and the mixed drinks selection even better. It ll have you torn whether you stick to wine or a fun cocktail. Would definitely recommend the espresso martini or smoked old fashioned. Recently went to a Sauvignon Blanc tasting night and it was great- so much fun and lots of knowledge shared. This place is #1 of things to do in Bolton. Vibe is classy/casual.
Really nice food is excellent
What a unique little restaurant with great wine selection and the food was amazing. The owner was very friendly. Theyve created a great restaurant and experience. Perfect place for a true Foodie.
Just wow great date spot on Bolton that feels very intimate and not like a chain. Had such a great night with an excellent wine selection, delicious food and an incredibly friendly staff. MC kept us on our toes and had excellent recommendations all night. Definitely coming back.
This place is incredible! Amazing staff especially the adorable barback:)
My favourite place in Bolton. There is a lot of thought in the cocktails, food, music, staff, etc. This place doesn t speak just business but speaks passion and care for what they do. They also have events open to public so they can share knowledge about wine, whiskeys, and much more. If I could, I would be there on a weekly basis.
Food, drinks and service was amazing. Give a try you won t be sorry!
On Sunday, April 24th, we held a fabulous baby shower for our daughter-in-law at the Wine Spot in Bolton. It was the perfect venue for this event!!! The simple, rustic decor accentuated the decorations and floral displays for the theme of the shower. There was ample seating both at the high-top tables and the beautiful bar for all attendees. Our guests raved about the amazing cocktails and delicious food!!!! We had three courses of tapas and charcuterie items. Each sampling was so yummy, perfectly prepared and expertly presented. My favourites were the Miami Ribs and both of the crostinis. Thank you, Chef!!! All members of the staff were very courteous and extremely helpful. We wish Matt and Kimberly great success with their new restaurant!!! Bolton is so lucky to have such a lovely spot for casual dining and special events. We ll certainly return again and again!!!!
Wow Amazing atmosphere, service, food and drinks. Check out Matt our Wine Aficionado who really knows his drinks. He made some delicious concoctions that we can t wait to try again. Our platters were delicious and you have to try the Portuguese Mussels. Wine Spot truly is a Diamond in the Rough. Enjoy.
I can t stop coming back, this has quickly become our favourite restaurant. This time around the standout from our meal was the Portuguese style mussels which caught us off guard with just how delicious they were honestly if we had any room left after every other tasty thing we ate we would have ordered more. As always, the service was exceptional, and MC Riesling was attentive and friendly as ever. Everyone we ve brought through has enjoyed themselves and I look forward to showing off such a great spot to all of our friends.
The place looks great on the outside and inside. Its a clean cozy place. Bolton needs more dine in restaurants with a nice vibe. Our first time at the restaurant was yesterday and it was taco/tequila Tuesday. it was over $220 for three people and the food was not good. Its probably some of the worst food I have had in Bolton. Everything was super bland, and tasted super cheap. presentation was ok, but the food quality was lacking a lot. Even the drinks tasted like you got a margarita mix from Walmart. And they were also very inconsistent, we got two of the same drinks, one wax extremely spicy, and the other had almost no spice. And the thing is the meal was VERY expensive too. Very very disappointed, not sure why it has such great reviews at all. Chucks, Kelseys, and Caledon Curry in Bolton has WAY better food quality. I gave it two stars instead of one because of the cleanliness and ambiance.
Was excited to try this new local place as I thought the concept was cool. Bolton really needs more places like this. I love the look on the outside as well as the inside; it s got a brick, industrial vibe going. I got the orange sangria and it was a really big glass and tasted delicious. The food has great presentation and was tasted ok. If I may give a few suggestions (reason for my 3 star rating). There is a very strong moldy/stuffy smell that hits you in the face as soon as you open the door, it was kind off putting. Maybe a dehumidifier is the solution, not sure. I would also recommend that the owner put more of an effort in introducing himself and welcoming guests to the new local business. I did recognize him when I was there as I ve seen him on the restaurant s social media and news articles. He looked over at our table and just continued on his way. We were only one of 3 parties that evening, so I don t think it would ve been too inconvenient for a quick intro. I m not personally offended by it, but I just think it would be good for business if that extra effort was made. All in all, this place has great potential and I will probably give it another try.
Absolutely amazing food and service. I m very glad to have a place like this in Bolton.
Absolutely amazing Staff and owner
Thanks Matt and stuff amazing my 40 bday party and amazing place
From the initial impression it seemed to have a lot of potential. The interior vibe/ambiance was great and the waitress was friendly - but that s where it ended. Ordered a wine flight (that came out after our food) that had no identifier to tell which wine you are trying making the flight pointless. The lobster Mac and cheese was so salty it was barely edible. The Miami short rib board was over cooked and half the pieces were charred. The bill came to over $100 and was nowhere near that in value/taste. Overall very disappointing experience.
Very impressed with the initial wine list and the boards and appetizers were good, (especially We night wings done perfectly). I would say the ambiance needs sprucing up. Inside, very dark plus musty smell and the patio needs plants and flowers to hide the view of the giant garbage bin and ugly/empty stores surrounding it. Something this simple could easily spruce it up and get 5 star.
Shared the steak with truffle fries the other day with my mom and unfortunately we both got food poisoning. 2 stars because the wait staff was really kind
This place was fantastic. The drinks were good. The charcuterie board was simply amazing.Massive amounts of cheese seeds dried fruit, spreads, chocolate.... Just so impressive to the senses. This place tries really hard to be high end, classy and sophisticated with massive success. The server Francesca was super sweet and when she didnt have all the information I needed about the menu, she double checked and got back to me promptly. The flakies were a clever dessert as well. Well done Matt.
Nice selection of drinks and sharable. A much needed spot in Bolton
Treats employees horrible, great ambiance and cocktails though.
This is Bolton s gem. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food and great wine with wine tastings as well. Excellent service by Bianca and Carter. The ambiance is beautiful. Can t wait to go back.
Staff was great and very friendly. We had quite a few things on the menu and it was ok.
Excellent food and drinks. The Wine Spot is now our new favorite restaurant in town.
Food is good, place is nice. Good to have a place like this in Bolton. Our server was really nice but maybe he was new. Asked for water three times never came. Ordered tacos and he forgot, had to take them to go because it was getting late. Our appetizer plates stayed at our table during our whole time there.
Celebrated a birthday here, but won t be going back. Too expensive for the quality/ small amount of food provided. The meat and cheese charcuterie board was nothing special, not worth the $45. The calamari was rubbery. Jiggled. The short ribs were super thin portions. The sliders were tasty though. We wanted to support local business but sadly the food did not impress. Also, no rosé wine available.
after the 1st positive impression a few months ago, the 2nd visit was a grand disappointment. Mediterranean Board was as far from that region, culinary speaking, as Bolton is distant from Genoa. For inspirations Id suggest a visit to our local Garden Food. Charcuterie board not much better. Wanting to to improve our mood we asked about tea & desert. No tea of any sort, Flakie board consisted 3 microscopic pieces, thankfully tasty, that we washed down with water. Will take time to risk a 3rd visit.
We ordered calamari for both my wife and I and some drinks. Calamari was bland, almost as if you would get frozen from a supermarket. Served with only one wedge of lemon and a little container of sauce. Nearly not enough for the dish. Wine sampler came with no labels to indicate the type of wine in the glass. Definitely disappointed considering all those wonderful reviews. 75$ is excessive for an appetizer and 2 drinks. Not sure we will go back.
I have been here 15-20 times since Wine Spot has opened and everything about this place is amazing. The drinks, the food, the service, the atmosphere - its consistently fantastic. It is exactly what Bolton needed.
Amazing food and staff.
Yes! Tapas restaurant! Finally a downtown restaurant for tasty food and great wine! It s a great vibe, affordable, delicious . Looking forward to many nights
What an amazing, cozy spot! Food, drink and staff are top notch. The Wine Spot will easily become your new go to . Thank you for making Bolton your new home!
We went last night for the first time - they just opened last week. First impression was that the atmosphere was really great. Stone/brick walls, lighting, floors, etc were all very nice. Staff were wonderful - attentive, accurate and plentiful. Food was good - we loved the different options available (try the stuffed dates!). Overall an excellent experience, and glad to have them join us in downtown Bolton. Congratulations!
Finally got to check out the new local spot in town and it didn t disappoint. Great atmosphere, food and drinks. We will definitely be coming back.
We went on the second night of the soft opening. The staff were so pleasant, helpful with the menu and drink selection, love how they brought out the original bricks on the wall. Matt the owner took the time to talk about some of the wines. We will be back soon to try the full menu. So glad to have this Wine, Tapas restaurant in Bolton
Lovely new restaurant in the middle of the village. Gorgeous food, friendly staff, intimate ambience, terrific wine list who could ask for anything more? Psst: if you go for lunch, dont miss the grilled cheese sandwich.
Amazing service, amazing food and drinks! We came here for my birthday and was very well taken care of. So happy to have a great local restaurant here in Bolton. We will be back!

It is a nice place to get some wine and some tapas
What an amazing place! Great ambiance and decor. The tapas are tasty - compliments to the chef, and you won t find more knowledgeable owners of wine and great cocktails. Matt, Kim and their staff do an amazing job of making your night out a memorable one.
A new spot that s way over due for our neighbourhood. Staff very accommodating. We got a cute front window table. We dropped by on a hunch with no reservation, although it was a Wednesday nite. I m positive that s the only reason we got lucky. As many folks in our area were boasting about it. I had to check it out. So glad we did.I m hoping this will encourage other businesses to come to Bolton, we welcome them all, and supporting local is now more important than ever. The owner & server checked up on us regularly, and he was quite humble.whilst discussing the wine list. He referred to himself as the wine guy & only later disclosed he was in fact the owner. Which made me realize ( not the first time) That I m 150 yrs old.. We have children older than him. That being said BRAVO Just what this community needs, up and coming young Entrepreneur s. Food was tasty arrived quickly. Temperature was great. We look forward to many more visits..
Wine Spot has a great atmosphere, amazing food and a wonderful selection of wines and cocktails. I highly recommend Wine Spot and my husband and I will definitely be returning in the very near future.
This beautiful restaurant has quickly become our favourite place to be! The atmosphere is warm, inviting and exciting! The Wine Guy Matt is very knowledgeable and passionate about the wine being served! The service was on point! The servers were very polite, friendly and made sure we were very well taken care of. As for the food .nothing but deliciousness!!!!! This is a treasure in the heart of Bolton! Congratulations to the owner, the chef and the staff!!!!!
