Ume Sushi used to be pretty solid with quality and service. As of late the quality has slipped and so has the service. Not only have we had to wait an extra half hour past our order pick up time, The food was packed in such a way that sushi trays were on their side, the soup was spilling, and the teriyaki dish I ordered was ice cold. Not sure what s happening, but it is making us consider changing our go to restaurant.

The sushi did not hold together. Ordered the green dragon and spicy salmon dragon rolls. They were falling apart the noment you touched them. We also had a later reso and stayed till close. They turned the lights off on us! Tempura was okay Not impressed and would not return.

Ive been coming here for years. Ive been to dozens of sushi restaurants and this one is the best Ive ever tried. The food is phenomenal and always so fresh. Whether it be sushi to their grill dishes, this place is so good! The seating is also incredible. You can book small private booths for a very private dining experience. Thank you to this restaurant for giving Bolton 10/10 grade sushi

Sushi was excellent. The vegetarian rolls were delicious for those who prefer that. Excellent service, great food and atmosphere.

Sashimi was okay but was eclipsed by how good the rolls were. Of note, Legend Dragon, Fire roll and Osaka roll. The Philadelphia roll was okay and not sure if it pales only because the others were so good. On par with the best Toronto sushi but close to home in little Bolton

Place is nice little sushi spot, not alot of parking. Food is good and so is service. Also look out when checking pricing ,they have prices on website but if you dont actually make an online order you wont see that they have extra charges for making them a roll instead of a hand roll I got 4 rolls and got charged an extra 5$ for not getting any of them as a hand roll only. They also offer cash discount of 10%

This place is adorable. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating and take time to review the menu with customers. The food is probably the best sushi in the GTA. It is fresh and so flavourful and presentation is beautiful.

I ve been a regular here for almost 2 months and the sushi is consistently fresh, it looks and tastes delicious every single time. The prices are very fair for the quality of food and the portion sizes in my opinion. And to top it off the service is also top notch. Best sushi spot around.

This is the home of the best sushi Ive ever had in Ontario. It can get really busy and its worth calling for a reservation if you plan on dining in but its well worth it. The food is incredible and the prices are great for the quality. Definitely try the Bolton Roll.

Very cool place, the boat was very good and with 2 plates sides was enough for a big family. It s pretty Centro in Bolton with parking and all facilities l. Their idea of privacy is cool and the food and service is great.

My absolute favourite sushi restaurant, they have amazing and fresh sushi everytime. They are affordable and consistent in quality. Using them for parties always and people honestly rave about how good it is!! Vegetarian options: I always get the yam avocado roll it s my favourite and the veg pizza is amazing!

A fantastic Japanese restaurant, authentic to a lot of other Sushi establishments. They also are very accommodating to allergies like Celiac. The food has always been consistently fresh and we have thoroughly enjoyed there every time.

Katarina is one of the friendliest and nicest people around. The food was delicious and the price was great. Its very clean and a pleasure to eat in. Katarina even offered to help me with my wordle . She made me feel like a friend rather than just a customer.

Freshest sushi in bolton

Been eyeing this place for a while. Inside there are options to seat in a booth or a table. Booths are more private and decorated with Japanese decor and it s really an interesting vibe. The menu is pretty extensive, we got the Love Boat Sushi Boat A and added an extra roll on the side. The green tea is great. Would come again.

It s true when they say you can really taste the quality of AYCE and a La carte sushi. They re my go to when ordering Salmon lover bowls or sashimi platters.

Sashimi dinner 5 star quality

Food quality is pretty good. I believe its the best sushi in Bolton. Eating in is a little slow service. I had to ring the bell on the table twice but the server arrived at my table immediately. There is a button you press for the server to come to the table. Pretty cool.

This is the first time we went to Ume Sushi. Very cozy atmosphere and space. Highly friendly staff. We ordered yasai sushi, yam sushi, atom rolls ann avo Q rolls, and fried dumping. Everything was super tasty, and the service was very fast. We loved our server Im definitely going back.

Sushi was larger than typical I guess that explains the high prices for this type of joint. Great customer service. Smells damp inside, or like something was cleaned with a dirty cloth, really hits your nose.

Mediocre food... but the people running the place are either too cheap to hire help or too lazy... have visited this place a handful of times the food is really nothing too special I guess better than mall sushi is how I can put it... I have called three times for takeout everytime I have been given ridiculous times... 1.5 hour the first time and I asked if it can be done sooner they said 1 hour just to keep me wai6ing there for another 40 min so total time 1:40 Second tike they said 1 hour and I canceled Third time 1 hour and I canceled. If anyone has to wait more than 30 min for takeout order specially a simple one of 4 rolls and a soup....then the staff are either lazy or just not enough help....

So tasty

Japanese inspired sushi, was some of the best sushi Ive had, although not all you can eat, me and 2 others split the bill equally and it was a little over 30$ with the tip, which is super affordable to go and have some great quality sushi and leave with a full stomach.

Ive been going to Ume Sushi for 6 years, but as of late the quality and freshness of the rolls has not been good. It tastes like they were pre-prepared. The sushi rolls were alot BIGGER in the past and now they are tiny. I recently went there for dinner and the server came once and had to be flagged over because they were more concerned with take out orders than the customers dining in. Everyone was frustrated. The food has gone down in freshness and value. Sad because it was considered the best sushi place in Bolton. But its comparable at this point to Sushi Hama which is all you can eat.

Every time my husband Raff and I have ordered from UME Sushi we have been so impressed with the quality. We have been happy with the quality of the food. When we have dined in, the service was also amazing! Tonight there was an honest mistake on our order and they immediately helped us out. There were two people with the same name and our orders got mixed up. One was Raff and the other one was Raffael. We really appreciate them going above and beyond to satisfy us! Thanks UME!!! You will continue to be out go to sushi place in Bolton. We highly recommended!

This is my favourite Sushi place in Bolton. They are very prompt and accurate with all of the orders I have placed on Uber Eats with them. The quality of the fish and the Tobiko are excellent. Highly recommended.

food is great but not good enough to compensate for the horrible service and dine-in experience. time and time again consistently sub par service, long waits for service to your table and half the time youre forgotten of. good for take out/Uber eats would not recommend to dine in

The place had a very cute and welcoming atmosphere. Our waiter was very friendly and patient (sadly didn t get his name) with whatever questions we had about the menu. The food was also very good and didn t take long too long to arrive. Overall it was a good experience and I will be back again.

Very good as takeout but even better at dine in. I went with friends to dine in and has a call waiter button in every table (small red button) if you need a waiter press the button ( I thought it was an emergency button)

Went to try the sit down . Horrible experience sat down and no service at all menus were sitting on table already. 2 waitress there didnt even acknowledge us. 20 minutes went by and we just walked out. The place only had 4 tables to deal with. Horrible experience will never go back. Its also not all you can eat. Very expensive compared to other places.

I was wondering to do something fun. So I decided to go into all of the sushi stores in Bolton. This one was my favourite. The people were so kind and the place had a cozy atmosphere. Even though it is open with construction. The noise doesn t bother me. I will be a customer for life! I recommend!

A very cute spot for Sushi. They have small little rooms for you to enjoy and have privacy at the same time. Each room has a little buzzer that you can buzz to call the servers. The portions sizes are decent. They have both vegetarian and vegan options which is great. The best rolls were the dragon rolls that not only look very aesthetic but also taste good. The plating lots very good as well. The servers are so very nice and helpful when deciding the meals. The parking is around the building at the back, however it is limited. This is the place to visit if you want authentic sushi that not only looks good but tastes good as well!

We were at Ume Sushi for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff and the freshness of the fish. We ordered Sashimi boat which had delicious variety of fish and was very fresh. I havent had this fresh in a while. The bolton roll, recommended by the server, was full of flavor and topped with lots of spicey crabmeat. We also ordered unagi (eel) sushi and we kept ordering more as it was so good! Overall great food, great service, reasonable price and we were happily stuffed . Highly recommend if you are in the area.

First time trying out this place, overall it was average tasting food. Good enough to satisfy that sushi craving.

Wasnt a big fan of a couple things but majority of food was good along with the service Parking: Due to it being located in the heart of downtown Bolton parking can be difficult depending on the time you go due to only parking available on the street close by

SO YUMMY! I stopped by Ume Sushi after a work event in Bolton and my goodness what a find! The associate that helped me (David) was very lovely and super helpful with recommendations. I was getting takeout and it only took about 10-15 minutes for my order to be prepared + David was kind enough to offer me tea while i waited. Now lets talk sushi. We ordered the Red Tuna Sashimi, Green Dragon Rolls, Dynamite Rolls & Spicy Salmon Rolls and they were all so good! Sashimi was very buttery, the rolls were a great size and very tasty! Will definitely be ordering again when in the area!

We have driven over 30 minutes to come to this location a few times. The sushi and other menu items are good.

The decor and atmosphere is nice and cozy. I really like their private booth seating, theres buttons installed on the table when you need to call your server. If you want to dine-in, you have to call and make a reservation. Theres limited free parking spaces available: some roadside parking at the front and a small lot at the back of the building. Service was also friendly, welcoming and they practice safe COVID measures. We ordered the Maki Boat for our date: it was decent pricing - especially with their current 10% off with cash payments only promotion. I saw pictures of sushi being served on wooden boats, so I was hoping to get our maki boat order served on them too but unfortunately the lady said they stopped serving sushi on them so that was a minus 1-star for me. We actually decided to come here based on the many reviews indicating the quality is great and that its the best sushi theyve had. Unfortunately, that expectation was not met and thats where they lost another star: the quality was quite average (definitely wasnt the best sushi Ive had); the rice was served cold - typically when I order sushi, the rice is at least warm and of the maki rolls we had, nothing in taste stood out. Other than the mediocre sushi, this place is great for dates and catching up with friends.

I would have given this location a 5 out of 5. The food here is absolutely exemplary. Just one pet peave., when I go to pick up a take out order and the girl hands me the interac pay machine, the tip request is put right in my face. Basically she was looking at me while the tip option was presented at me. Trying to make the customer obliged to tipping. This I feel is rude. Restaurants should not ask for a tip if they are simply handing you a bag of food. A tip is for a server that looks after you during a table dining experience. I do not mind tipping and I am love to reward great service. I feel that this however is a practice that is quite tacky. They are not the only restaurant that does that.

Love their sushi and sashimi! Always fresh and delicious. But their phone line is a menace to get through. Could not get through at all to place our takeout orders at 5:30pm, not even prime dinner time, and had to drive there just to place our orders.

GREAT service. Very friendly people and pro sushi chefs making the best fresh sushi around. Reasonably priced....****sadly my favorite sushi is only ok now, maybe new owners. No one wants to serve a party platter in styrofoam either. Too bad

I dont eat fish/seafood, so I havent tried that part of the menu, but from what I have tried, its been fantastic. For example, normally when you have yam tempura rolls delivered, by the time they get to you, theyre soggy. However Umes are always still crispy somehow. Everythings a good size, well proportioned. The katsu is delicious, and my sons favourite. My husband says the fish/seafood stuff is excellent as well. And they usually include a little something extra, like gyoza, when we get a large order. Its become a town-favourite, and everyone recommends them.

I guess this is the best option for sushi in Bolton......I guess..... Told the wait for takeout on a Saturday night would be 1 hour, ok thats fine. But when I purposely arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes later and still have to wait, its kinda ridiculous. I waited with other people that looked like theyve also been told 5 more minutes multiple times. The sushi was only ok, it looked and tasted like all you can eat sushi but at A la carte prices. And there was no sign of the spicy mayo I requested on the side that I was probably charged for but definitely didnt receive. Very disappointing, will not be coming back.
