535 Bd Marie-Victorin, Boucherville, QC J4B 8T4, Canada
Sympathique cantine avec plage et terrasse privée
The new owners of the marina suck! Watercrafts getting stolen, arguing with paying customers. No wonder they torched the place! I miss the old dude who used to run this place
Best poutine on the south shore of Montreal
The owner and chef knocked on the door of paradise and asked what they should bring into this restaurant : a nice beach in front of a marina, reasonably priced drinks and food, chill atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to hang out. Also the only restaurant in 2022 that is not using inflation as an excuse to screw customers. You’ll get your money worth, and the food is good! Great job!
Chill rest stop to enjoy a beer break right off a perfect bike path that goes along the river. Little tip.. if you get the veggie hot dog get it steamed, not grilled.
The location is great, the prices are not. Prices have gone up since last summer. A hot dog is nearly 3$ (4$ if veggie). Anything "fancier" like a Poke bowl or guédille is roughly 20$. A simple small French fry is nearly 6$. A cheeseburger, 8$. Might be nice for tourists, or folks who want to sit by the marina, but for locals you can't really afford to go there often. It's not cantine/chippie prices. Purchased 6 hot dogs and 2 French fries for my family, cost 40$. That's without any drinks. For better prices, drive a few minutes down Marie Victorin and go to Mr. Patate. * EDIT * As a response to the owner, I'll take a picture of the menu with prices, and include it with the review.
Really enjoyed the classic lobster roll, classique guedille de homard, delicious and proper serving for $18.99, good service, self seating on the beach with a view of the st lawrence. Loved it!!
Great place, nice view and nice concept but expected more flavour and taste from the food. Portions were small. Felt forced to leave tip when the chashier asked even though no service included.
Excellent food!!! Great vibe and unreal service. Perfect spot to stop and enjoy the sun.
Great atmosphere. Several tables, nice place to enjoy the summer.
Toilet door for women in the front forced to piss while standing....very backward as a toilet.
Nice place, like a vacation
The place is super beautiful! A beautiful view of the river and the island of Boucherville. The atmosphere is fun. there is music. I find that the food is still expensive for the quality and we went there to taste the sangria but there was none, a bit disappointing! I paid $22 for 4 canned drinks, for a small potato its not very affordable.
July 9, 24, early evening, I only ordered fries and a lemonade, I informed that it was to bring and settle down further away in a quiet corner. Already the menu is expensive for the service and quality provided. The young waitresses dont have a smile on their lips, dry worse than the fries served. No napkin, no fork and even no ketchup, you had to ask and seeing their faces, it was too much of a ask. The place is good but it is certain that the service needs to work for a lot. The tip has not changed in any way. It was lucky that I didnt have any guests to show me around old Boucherville. When youre not into customer service, change jobs.
Beautiful place with a relaxing view of the river. A little expensive for the type of food served.
Poke bowl not good at all. $25. Nice atmosphere. Kind hostess at the counter
So pretty! Nice choice of canned cocktails. A little expensive... but really nice to be at the marina!
Super nice place to try! on the waters edge, no more dogs are allowed! The food is expensive, fried overcooked but to enjoy a good time why not try. I recommend
The place is nice, the food is good, I didnt like the lemonade very much (sorry it didnt have sugar) but the atmosphere is delicious for the summer.
This place has a significant location advantage, offering perfect views that are truly captivating. The artificial beach is excellently designed, creating a relaxing exotic atmosphere, perfect for those looking to escape the citys hustle and bustle. The food here is quite unique, and everything tastes incredibly good. The music selection is very thoughtful, with tunes that uplift the mood. Here, you can easily spend a perfect afternoon, whether gathering with friends or enjoying some alone time, finding a sense of inner peace. Beautiful place to discover on the waterfront in Boucherville. The lobster roll was tasty ($25 without accompaniment, but a good size). The half bottle of wine was $25 (quite expensive for half a bottle). There are plenty of chairs, picnic table and umbrella. There is music and the view of the river is superb.
By far the worst lobster roll I have eaten. I didnt see any lobster pieces, it looked more like pollock. The taste was not good. It doesnt match the photos from 4-5 years ago. $55 for a roll, fries and beer. Too bad, because the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was very friendly. Its a nice place to have a drink or ice cream, but very disappointed with the food and the price.
$38 for that...sorry, but I didnt like my poutine...the cheese tasted sour..
The view is beautiful and the food is ok but nothing more. The price of drinks and food is way too high.
Great experience, allows you to get the seaside experience while staying in Boucherville. Few similar spots in the Montreal region. Suitable for both family and a group of friends Kid-friendliness: Bring the sand toys
Beautiful little place to discover! We feel like were in the south, sand, parasols, festive music!!
poor employee service
Best place to eat a hot dog on the South Shore. Little holiday feeling 2 minutes from the suburbs.
A restaurant with your feet in the sand at the water s edge The dream
Wonderful little street canteen. The fried potato tasted like good fried potato. The view is wonderful.
Nice place to spend your Sunday, to relax and have a tasty good Lobster sandwich and a real potato fries, just 25 minutes a way from Montreal. I find it a little pricey tho, but 5$ for the French fries is worth it! **Just to know that you can t site there without buying food or drink! Very nice place to spend your quiet Sunday, eating a good Lobster sandwich with good fried potatoes and just a 25-minute drive from Montreal! I find their sandwich a little expensive though, but the fries for 5$ are worth it **Please note that to enjoy their small terrace/beach you will need to consume!
Really very expensive for a lobster roll which is actually a pollock roll, really disappointing. More abuse. Very nice place to have a drink and eat a hot dog or poutine. Boucherville, we re still abusing it
No cheese for poutines. Fries really really overcooked. Very dirty table. Really very long service. Really very expensive. Small errors in the order. Fries that are drowned in sauce. Overrated reputation!!!
I suggested to my friends that they go eat poutine in this little snack bar which seemed very cool to me. Big disappointment. First, we quickly had to forget the poutine because they didnt have any cheese. I waited at least 20 minutes for 2 fries with sauce and 2 hot dogs even though there were few or no customers. Even more frustrating to see a guy from the kitchen go and get a beer from the fridge while Im on standby in front of his counter. If at least it had been good, my overcooked fries were swimming in a pool of brown sauce. My apologies to my gang, Ill let you choose next time.
We were a group of 7 people. 2 families of 3 and me. We ordered one after the other (me, then the 2 families) I was served in 5 to 10 minutes, but I had time to eat before my friends. Several couples or single people were served before my friends. However, no special orders, just hot dogs, hamburgers and fries. Plus, there was no more cheese, so no poutine. Also, in addition to the poor service, the price is very high for this type of cuisine. A simple hamburger and fries for over $15. The fries were also overcooked. Really disappointed. 1st and probably last visit.
Bad experience: High price for 2 hamburgers, a fries, and a cod taco. Long service 25 minutes wait for what we ordered. Fries black as coal. First and last visit to this place.
Very beautiful setting with a view of the marina. We ordered a lobster Guéduille for $25 Regular hot dog bun with a generous amount of very fresh lobster. Its a shame that at this price there is no support included.
Fries cooked in old oil, overcooked fish too expensive, Cuban sandwich no taste soggy bread.
The place is nice, on the marina...but does that justify such prices...in fact they didnt even dare to display the price of the roll (quite summary and dry in addition)... and surprised me to discover the price. Too bad because the potential is great and obviously we are captive because there is little choice around. Nearly 70 dollars for a modest hamburger, a fries, a roll and two drinks. You will judge. Personally I find that we have abused...
Very good poutine, relaxed atmosphere. Lots of waiting the day we were there. Rather limited choice of alcoholic beverages. Not the same choices on the online menu and at the counter. Otherwise it s a perfect place for a pit stop on a nice day.
Too expensive
A super cool oasis in the middle of the city
I adore!! The place is superb especially in the evening with the sunset, not to be missed!!
I love the employee Megan who offers efficient and fast quality service
10/10 food with a view not to be missed!
Great place with excellent food to come with family or friends! I highly recommend
Very beautiful site, discovered by bike. Very good food, it s worth stopping there, you ll have to do it again
The prices are not cool. No variety on the menu either but the place is very nice facing the river
WoW, to discover! Super nice relaxing place, superb view, feet in the sand, music, good food and beer. If you want to get away from it all, youll feel like youre on vacation immediately. Fair price for the place and excellent food. Service A1. Don t hesitate!
Nice place but expensive for what you get.
25 minutes of waiting for two rolls and a poutine! All for $100 with three soft drinks.
Best place to have an aperitif
I really liked the place.. the sand.. but I paid $76 for 2 rolls..2 fries and 2 7ups..its the price of a good meal at the restaurant.. too bad that is so expensive because I wont be able to go back there...at least Im going to change my menu!
Great people, great outside place, well think were at the beach, very good food
Here is a restaurant that is out of the ordinary! You eat directly on a sandy beach. It is equipped with a picnic table and Adirondack chairs. For dinner we chose poutine, a veggie hot dog, a veggie poke bowl, a green salad and a lobster roll. My favorite is poutine, the sauce is excellent. But I was disappointed with the lobster roll, they use a hot dog bun topped with lobster, no accompaniments, all for $26. Shes not worth it. But to spend a great time on the waters edge watching the boats go by, its all worth it.
Cute place, very varied clientele
$26 + tax for a lobster roll which is actually 95% pollock, with 1 or 2 pieces of lobster on top. To cook rolls and eat them everywhere, I really dont recommend this place. Nearly $100 for a meal for 2 on paper plates, we wont be going back.
What a pleasure to put your feet in the sand. Rather slow service and ok food. Dont go there with too high expectations. Instead, enjoy the relaxation and the surroundings.
Great place and the food is just wow Kid-friendliness: My daughter really liked it
Best guedille ever , great terrasse.
Good food, good music, great view of the water.
Very good concept, poor execution . Slow and random service (two orders arrived after me served quickly). Lobster roll $25.00 and 3.50 extra for two single craft slices in my hot dogs . I would like to believe that the pandemic has hurt but we should not be ambitious.
An outdoor terrace in the sand! Ideal for a family outing even with small dogs. With a picturesque view and Latin music its almost like a southern resort. The menus are very varied, starting with seafood specialties through to poutine and fries. The prices are very affordable but for some menus are not displayed, and the bill can inflate...
Super cool! Good music and the staff is very nice. Excellent poutine after a little jetski ride.
Superb place with a view of the river where you literally feel like youre on vacation. It s really special to be able to eat and have a drink with both feet in the sand in the city. Good atmosphere, welcoming staff, veggie options on the menu, dogs allowed. Go there with family or friends!
Good food but pricey for what it is
Delicious Fish N Chips with nice crispy breading as well as the fries perfectly cooked to my taste. Great experience eating on the beach with beer in hand.
Very warm welcome. Super nice location by the water. The rolls and burgers are very good. Very friendly, amazing a few minutes from Montreal.
Do I need a reservation for this place?
The food is well done but nothing extraordinary, very very very expensive unfortunately. Good service and very nice setting so you pay for the setting and not for the food.
I liked the place, the decor, the idea in general. In my opinion it is real lobster! But the prices are expensive ($3.75 for a steamed one) on the other hand vegetarian options of burger and hot dog. Very nice presentation and good taste!
It is indeed a restaurant set up with sand, it is not the beach as many people think, there is yes an exit to the lake with the boats but no entrance for swimming, no more access to at least refresh your feet!
A $22 tofu Poké bowl served in a wrap is rather disappointing... Expecting to come to a beach (because thats where it points on Google map), thats not where you will be satisfied! On the other hand, its nice to dine with your feet in the sand, with a beautiful view of the water and the boats!
Beautiful place, on the waters edge, sandy beach with several tables. However, prices have increased significantly in recent years (almost $30 per roll). The poutine was good (and more reasonably priced). The big negative for me: place invaded by wasps. When we visited, wasps were EVERYWHERE. Several people left the premises for this reason.
We went on September 10, 2022. Magnificent evening, chill and relaxed atmosphere. Music not too loud, very clean sand. Spectacular sunset. We ordered 1 Cuban sandwich, 6 hot dogs, 1 fries and a bacon poutine. Everything was excellent. Hearty portion and very generous on the bacon. Those who complain about the prices fail to appreciate the uniqueness of this place. This is the first time Ive eaten poutine with both feet in the sand with a magnificent view of the river and a spectacular sunset less than 20 minutes from Montreal.
Great experience. Cod tacos and rolls are delicious
Great for atmosphere and location
We went there with the aim of tasting their famous lobster roll. Unfortunately, the lobster was back order. We were offered a shrimp roll as a replacement, at a lower cost. Finally, our choice fell on bacon cheeseburgers and their homemade fries. The portions were generous and it was very good! The terrace is located on the waters edge, on a small beach. It was nice! We will definitely return.
Perfect Burger!
Excellent food. Excellent employees. Excellent service. Excellent location and excellent atmosphere.
Picturesque stretch of sand where stopping off on a beautiful sunny day can become a habit. Good choice of food and drinks. View of the marina as a bonus.
Everything is perfect, the food, the atmosphere, the view... to try
Beautiful little place, super nice staff. Good quality food, the Cuban sandwich is delicious seriously the only negative point I can find is that its expensive. Worth the detour, nice little space to eat in the sand sitting on a table to make you feel like youre in the south.
Nice place to eat and relax near the water
Very good Cuban sandwich, but $30 with tip for a can of corona and a sandwich without accompaniments, well come back.. nice place with the sand, the tables and the view but its too expensive, I wont go back there probably not.
Lets get the obvious out of the way: View is unique. The food however is nothing to write home about. Expect bar food, small portions, limited drinks selection and overpriced drinks. Overrated!
We recommend the cheese burger with bacon!
Good atmosphere, good food with little gourmet details, nice portion of lobster and fish. It feels like youre on vacation by the sea for a meal, with your feet in the sand with the festive musical atmosphere and the sound of boats lapping in the water. A little pricey, but worth it!
This canteen, well hidden from view from the street, gained popularity year after year. This is proof that everyone who discovers it comes back to it. The place is unique with its beach concept and the food is very good. You must try, you too will come back.
The food is OK, but above all very expensive for what is on the plate. A roll, a poutine and a drink for $43 with taxes, it s a steal! I didnt like being asked to tip, even though its a counter and not a restaurant with service. It s the lady at the cash register who has to write it on the machine, quite awkward! The place is very beautiful, but I definitely wont come back. Not worth the detour!
Beautiful place. Feet in the sand and at the waters edge. Exorbitant prices for the quantity. ~$20 for a Guédille without accompaniment. All dishes are served alone with the exception of fish and chips. Food was good, but would have expected double for the price. $50 for the cabaret in photo of the flight
Nice experience with delicious food
Its great to have this kind of facility on the waters edge. Best wishes.
Magnificent spot which allows you to feel a holiday atmosphere in the heart of an urban environment.
Wonderful little place on the waterfront! Great canteen, it s good and beautiful. Its wonderful to be able to eat with your feet in the sand! It reminds us of the south ! Nice atmosphere, good music. We will come back for sure! Plus you can bring your dog there for pure joy! Thank you so much! To drink a little drink you have to eat . And if you want to buy a drink (beer, sangria, mojito, etc.) keep your receipt which proves that you ate well there! 10/10 really!
Very pleasant to be able to eat a lobster roll, cod tacos or simply a hot dog with poutine... Feet in the sand and at the waters edge, accessible by the cycle path from Longueuil. To do and redo.
Very very good. Fast service. Nice place on the sand. As much for adults as for children!
Good roll but no more than $20 for a single roll its expensive. Very nice place
I went there for Dinner on August 21, 2021, a Saturday. Impossible to stay put, too many wasps/bees! What a shame to keep the terrace open, its not safe!!! Good food but expensive.
There are too many wasps. Very nice place.
Serious problem with wasps, they were aggressive and present at each of the tables where we tried to sit. In the end, we went to eat at the park. The food was very decent, but part of the price of the meal is justified by the use of the site...
Its fast food, very delicious, canned drinks, the best place to go and watch the sunsets fall.
Its expensive but you pay to have your feet in the sand while having a beer (at $10), seeing boats and listening to summer music! The fries are on point. Lots of bees during my visit (August 2021) making the experience much less pleasant. Still worth trying for the experience
Very nice site....but too much for the value for money.
Excellent roll and the fries are worth the detour!
Nice place to relax, but the lobster roll is more of a pollock roll. I had 5 pieces of lobster and it was stuffed with pollock.....For 19.55$$$$
Yes the price may seem a little high but when you look at the quality of the products, the price is totally justified. Fast and super courteous service.
$19 for a lobster sandwich...my!
The place is beautiful but the prices are a bit expensive.
I give a 5 star just for the lobster roll. Suuuupperrr good!!
The place and good food
Perfect for relaxing with your feet in the sand!
Very nice atmosphere. Too bad there is no more table service
Good but expensive for the portion size
Excellent attention. Lovely staff and high appreciated for Spanish speakers.
Southern atmosphere!! I like
Superb atmosphere and great food! We had a great time admiring the scenery! Really nice place!
Acceptable food without more, generous portion, expensive for what they offer, I didnt like being told they added a tip sir when paying at the COUNTER!!
Mexico!
Very low variety of products. No cocktails, 3 choices of beer, overpriced food. Sangria Pepito sold at $21 per 1L bottle. Very amateurish place, I do not recommend.
A very nice place, on the riverbank, tables, Adirondack armchairs, sand... Simple menu, good but a little expensive. Beer for $10... Delicious lobster roll
Good food, beautiful view, expensive to eat on a picnic table and no service at the tables. $10 for a canned Heineken given at the counter...
Beautiful view to relax with a drink
Very good canteen, hamburger with fresh beef. No lobster rags today, check before you go
Very slow service, 45 minutes for hot dogs and fries, 15 minutes to pay, incomplete order... They were visibly overwhelmed but the servers were not particularly friendly or attentive.
Kool! Good cycling experience as well as passing through the area. Peaceful rest point, delicious food and at a good price. Exceptional environment for the view and beach comfort (feet in the sand).
A nice place to take a break. Facing the River in Boucherville...
I love the place, it s very comfortable. on the other hand since last year always the same problem: half of the items available on the menu.... there is a grocery store a few blocks away.... stocking up as needed when something is missing is not not so difficult
Unlike last year, I loved my experience the burger was excellent, the salad really good and good service too! Good value for money and I really liked the Archibald beer, well done for the Quebec product
Discover a magnificent place by the water.
De owners did a great job! Great place to eat with water front. Great lobster roll...
I really liked my experience
Awesone food and service. And the view is amazing.
Excellent...
Very nice little town beach. One to the right which takes us away from the big city. Small, very simple menu, a bit expensive but no entrance fee or parking to pay. Full sun all day. Music not too loud and pleasant staff. 15 minutes from Anjou.
Nice place to stop while cycling! Just have a little drink or enjoy a little snack! The food is very good and we have a superb view of the river.
10/10
Small beach near the river its well thought out you can eat or have a drink its ok or rent a donuts
really nice place!!! well moved in and the menu is great :) lovely to eat something, drink a beer and enjoy a beautiful view in the summer.
Little secret of the south shore, beach restaurant, great poutine, on the waters edge... What do the people ask for!
There were 3 of us who stopped at the Marina after a day of cycling and all 3 of us found the food really good! The menu is not very varied, but just enough to find a dish to your liking. The beach on the edge of the river gives a nice little charm to the place. Go take a look without fear!
Good food but the prices are excessively high for the quality of food and service. Beautiful terrace with a beach style section, where it is possible to drink and/or eat with both feet in the sand. The employees are very helpful and professional for a Deli type restaurant. The place is a little out of the way and difficult to find if youre not looking for the Marina itself.
Pleasant during a bike ride
Wow, what a beautiful place!! It feels like a beach in the south. Not to be missed are the sunsets. Its a really great site.
Nice place on the river to enjoy their own ice tea. We stopped on our bike ride up the at Saint Lawrence
Super nice little place to relax! We can bring our little love on legs! The service is always good and the sangria excellent! But... The poutine is great! Small and perfect!
Clean, simple and good menu. price ok. friendly service. parking nearby a bit annoying. I recommend. A little paradise to take a few moments during the work week :-)
I stopped by this Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. It was quiet and yet there was no way to get a server. We waited 10 minutes, I went to see the guy at reception to give him our order, as is done in most canteens, but he didnt want to take it and told me he was sending me a server immediately. We heard for another 5 minutes and left. If you are not able to offer adequate service, at least let customers order at the counter, it will be faster and more efficient. After all, its just a canteen; not a real restaurant.
Great place we went there by bike. The food is very good
Very good atmosphere, good food, crispy fries as desired but too salty for my taste, Poutine sauce is a big bummer for me, the service was very ordinary and the waitress was expeditious and not very smiling. But, for the location its worth the stop.
A Boucherville treasure that I discovered today. Great decor and on the waters edge. As a family or as a couple to eat or simply have a drink.
Small park with restaurant, nice place to take a break and good little restaurant, good service
Very nice place. Well appointed, clean. We eat very well there.
By car
I loved eating the Lobster guidille with both feet in the sand and also received very good service
Place that reminds us of vacations on the beach
Very nice place by the water
Nice place for relaxation.
Small inconvenience, you have to eat to have a beer.
Very poor service. No one to welcome us and assign a table. No waiter comes to see us, we have to signal that we are ready to order after having made our choice for at least 10 minutes. Server not very warm or dynamic. There were 3 of us and we had drinks and only a full meal with other snacks, he didnt mind showing his total lack of enthusiasm since he wouldnt tip much. He didnt bring us the food, whoever did it was very nice though. Drinks arrived after the food by the incompetent waiter. After having finished eating for at least another 10-15 minutes, we had to run after the waiter to pay the bill. No usual forms of politeness such as did you eat well? There was no one on the beach, its not normal to be served with such lack of professionalism and courtesy. The cliché of the unmotivated waiter who is just there to line his pockets.
Very nice service :))
Great location! Bad attitude... pity
Dinner and walk on the water wow
So much for quality, the prices are exaggerated. At least the service is courteous and fast.
As a family, we had an exceptional good afternoon....
