Korean Japanese fusion sushi & steak house
Excellent Asian food with prompt service and hospitality. We visited Bracebridge for 4 days and came here to dine in twice. Great going team Wabora!
Awesome experience, little on the pricey side, but portions were big, service was fast, and staff was super friendly. Will defiantly be going again when we come back to town.
Quality and the flavor of the food at Wabora. is really good. I'm not sure why I was so skeptical but I was, and then pleasantly surprised by all the beautiful flavors. The server was well informed and when she advises you that the spice level is Korean hot, believe her. We asked for our noodles to be medium level spice and it was still on the verge of being too hot but the noodle dish was very tasty.
The food was flavourful and presentation was done nicely. I ordered a ginger tea and it was so uniquely delicious (tasted like fresh ginger had been boiled for 10 minutes) with crushed almonds added to the tea. The tea may have been my favourite part, it was really great!
As always, the food was phenomenal...have never been disappointed, never go anywhere else for sushi. Try the tuna tower!
The interior is clean, making it great for family meals. The food is not only visually appealing but also delicious. We had guidance from Angela, and she was very kind and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks for the excellent service.
What a luxurious sushi restaurant!!! I visited with my family during the holiday season, and we really enjoyed the food. They have lots of different kind rolls and food. All the ingredients were fresh! I especially enjoyed the Cottage rolls, Tuna Tower, and the Galbi dish! :) We're definitely gonna visit again!
The food here was good but it was pricey. Having said that the price is understandable because I could only imagine the distance that sashimi has to travel under special conditions to reach this place. We tried a few dishes, tuna tower, love love salmon and the seaweed salad. All were pretty good. Nice place if you’re feeling for Japanese food.
Gorgeous food. Oh to have natural light Vegetarian options: Many Food : 5/5 |
Drafty warehouse of a building with good food and service.
if you go here you need to try the fire chicken, atmosphere is ok, it s not christmas all year around
We come here often because the food and service is consistently fabulous. Lunchtime Bento boxes offer a variety of delights and always enough to take home for another meal!
Food was fantastic and the service great. The atmosphere was more like a cafeteria, too many tables and not enough ambiance.
Excellent lunch, excellent waitress
The soup is salty and expensive.
Muskoka couldnt be luckier to have this restaurant as part of its fabric! Its beyond excellence on every level! And, you dont necessarily have to be passionate about sushi to eat here, as their non-sushi dishes are equally stellar! There are way too many wonderful choices to list, all of which Ive tried!
Best Japanese food around
We went a year ago and to be honest we were a little disappointed. We decided to give them another try this August and they blew it out of the water. We had rolls galore... everything was delicious... I was so happy. Well done Wabora. You have hooked us for good. Parking: Tons
World class sushi in the muskoka area
It was a great place to eat and food was very fresh
Never disappoints!
I ve been going to Wabora very occasionally for the better part of 10 years and it s hands down my favourite place to eat in Muskoka. I will say it s on the pricier side but not once have I had an unpleasant experience. Even during peak times they re always on their A game. On top of the recommendations below, their Fire Chicken is the main reason I go as often as I do. Best menu item by far and I wish they d sell their sauce in a bottle. (Or share the recipe with me)
Overpriced and mediocre taste with below average portion than most !
Great sushi, great people!
One of the best sushi places in the North only better place Ive had sushi is Saporro in Sudbury! . After more visits and careful study and gratuitous eating I can easily say Wabora is the best I ve been to!!!!!
It was much better and cozier in previous years before the cavernous renovation. Still good food, though very expensive. The hours have become odd, and I never know if it s open, so I don t go much anymore. I ve shown up a few times and it s closed so I just don t even consider this place an option anymore when I m hungry. But if the stars align and it s open I recommend a visit if you can afford it.
The ambiance is a bit like a big cafeteria, but the food is good. Being the only sushi place in town, its the best youll get :)
Great place for sushi Bento box for lunch.
This restaurant is an unexpected surprise to find in Bracebridge, Ontario. A sushi delight. The sashimi and tools are excellent. A finer sushi can t be found even in the larger centers in Ontario. I will return for the steak. After all it is a steak and sushi house.
I must say s one of the best fine dining restaurants in town of Bracebridge.
Extremely expensive for a few items of sushi for take out - not worth it for what we paid. 12 sushi, 6 pieces of vegetable tempura, and a few cucumber sushi came out to +$120.
Delicious food and excellent service!
Avoid any teriyaki dish, especially beef teriyaki and chicken teriyaki. Both are horrible. Very dry. There s no marinating process. Just sauce over meat. Rolls are average but acceptable. Service is slow and when the waitress got order wrong, she argued twice. Very noisy place.
Best sushi experience of my life, hands down!
Great sushi restaurant, seafood is high quality and fresh. It s a little on the pricey side but worth the splurge.
This place seems to have gone very downhill. It is extremely expensive ($13 for 3 pieces of veggie tempura) and the quality is terrible. I had a simple yam tempura roll and it was somehow the worst yam tempura roll Ive ever had in my life like it was premade and sitting there. Other members of my family felt the same way about their food, some of which was cold or dried out. Will not be returning.
If I could give it a zero rating I would. Not only was the cutlery dirty but 2 days of dealing with food poisoning is NOT worth it.
High quality sushi rolls. Crispy crunch is a must try! Tempura combo, fire chicken and bulgogi are also incredible.
Overpriced. You would be very shocked after seeing the prices on the menu. The most expensive sushi ever I tried in GTA. The location is not even in GTA lol.
Best sushi I ve ever tasted.
Super B!!! Very good service.
Great food, great service. Special thanks for our waitress Lisa.
We had a great experience dining in Wabora. Excellent food and service! Must try their firecrackers sushi and Kalbi Steak.
everything s perfect
The best out of all sushi places I ve been to. Prices are reasonable with superb customer service. Will definitely come back and I totally recommend this restaurant.
I hope that sushi I ate cured my cancer because I had to sell my kidney to afford it. Literally 5-10x the price of what it is in Japan. Want real sushi? Go to Japan, youll get better tasting, more fresh, and better service as well. Overpriced mid sushi.
Quality of sushi is good BUT price and quantity has become unacceptable. Even with recent food inflation Wabora s prices have gone higher than most. Want to support Bracebridge restaurants but there are other alternatives with better prices and quality food. Long time customer but NO more! Andrew Grant
Excellent steak and sushi place! Superb service. Food : 5/5
Amazing sushi. Crispy crunch roll and summer roll are my fav. *Edit* We ordered sashimi appetizer for like $17.99ish, recieved 4 prices of fish. We were told it was four pieces of each fish. We had another issue with take out that they begrudgingly resolved for us. Every time weve dined in it has been lovely with no issue. I would just double check your takeout bags before leaving.
We just had a take out of 10 pieces sushi for $40.Ridiculously expensive. Not worth for the money. Never go back or recommend to anyone.Rather say not to go there based on these crazy prices. Food
Be very careful with ordering from Wabora and I would recommend asking them to repeat your order at least twice to make sure it s correct. I just placed a take out order and the person taking the order misunderstood me put 6 of the same item on the order, when I only asked for one. Supposedly they repeated it back, but I have no recollection of this. The bill was obviously much higher than expected at pick up, so I asked to see the itemized bill. The price was far higher for this item than I recalled, but the worker told me that was the price, so I assumed they had substantially increased the price. There was also a lot more food than I expected, which I unfortunately didn t check until I got home. I called immediately upon realizing they had given me 6 extra of the item and that was the reason for the bill being so much more than expected. The person I spoke with was very apologetic and tried to explain to me how I could store and consume 6 of this item. Unfortunately, the most they could offer was refund me for x2 of that item. Quite a frustrating experience. I wanted to share this to caution others to at least double or triple check their orders when ordering from Wabora. I would also recommend Wabora consider recording their calls so they can review calls like this to determine where the misunderstanding occurred.
Good food!
Wabora is a great spot. Its expensive as all heck for what you get. Like really expensive for rice with some other fishy stuff but i never have been disappointed. I give it a 2 star on the atmosphere because its pretty boring. Just a large open big box store. Kind of like you are in a costco for sushi rolls.
They make the most wonderful Korean food. Spicy Pork Bulgogi with a mug of ginger tea was ordered. When it came out was on one of those hot iron plates on a wooden board and a bowl of rice. The plate was completely heaped with delicious spicy pork sliced thinly with vegetables like carrot, cabbage, broccoli, onion and even peas. The meat and veggies that lay on the hot plate turned black with the heat and changed the taste profile which complimented the dish. Its not cheap at $32 a plate but its a dinner plate thats worth it.
Large restaurant with plenty of seating. Went with a friend to try a new place and was not disappointed. We had the beef bulgogi bento box, cucumber rolls and sweet potato tempura. Wish I had taken a picture but, got so busy chatting with my friend and enjoying the food that I forgot. Next time for sure.
Great food everytime.
Beautiful, clean and modern place to have sushi. Washroom is clean. Free parking, food was great, we had the boat special.
Excellent sushi, very fresh and tasty. Service was a little slow (mid afternoon) but the product was excellent, would go again in a heartbeat, when we are in neighbourhood. Parking: Very near front door Wheelchair accessibility: Flat access from sidewalk, wide entrance doors, no steps, flat interior floor
One of the best restaurants in Bracebridge. Awesome place for lunch.
Food is amazing here
Love this place, however beware that when theyre busy the portion sizes are smaller, and they forget ingredients or condiments if youre doing take-out. My advice is to go on a normal day.
This Japanese restaurant is below average, especially with the pricing that they have on their menus. For example, the sashimi sampler, which consists of 1 of each (Tuna, Salmon, White Tuna, Shrimp, Octopus, Yellow tail) costs $15. I understand if it was premium fish, but the taste of all the sashimi is basically what you can find in ANY all you can eat Japanese restaurant, nothing special. But good for them, because they are the only Japanese restaurant in the area, so they can charge a premium price for regular tasting food.
Went in on new years eve. Had a great meal. Our poor little server was super new tho,and very overwhelmed. She dropped things in peoples laps, and her service was quite slow. However! She was trying her absolute best, and it showed. They were extremely busy, but once our order was placed,it came very fast, and everything was absolutely delicious! The lady owner was very diligent in walking around making sure people were being served and happy. Overall a great night out! Especially on one of the busiest nights of the year.
If you are visiting Bracebridge, you have to go here! Exceptional food and service. Newly renovated and modern feeling. Great place to spoil your loved ones as theres something for everyone on their vast menu! I love you, Wabora!
Seems like a great place. We only ordered two soups and dumplings because we simply couldn t justify the prices. Wow!
The service was great and the food was fantastic and fresh will definitely go there again and again and then again after that.
This was the best! We had the hibachi our chef Eddie was an excellent performer and gave us a superb demonstration of his amazing skills. Well worth it thank you Well today Jan 11 2023 they no longer have the hibachi grill but the food was very good and the service was excellent Kid-friendliness: They have full sized high chairs for babies
I m addicted. Really good food. Best sushi I ve ever had.
Food was good. Service was good. Price was high.
Called last week to make a reservation for tonight valentines day and was told they don t take any reservations between 5-7 and that it s walk in only. Arrived at 6:00 the restaurant was not even half full and was told that we had to have a reservation they need to get their staff all on the same page this is not the first time this has happened. Complete ridicules.
Awesome food!
Day after Valentines. Awesome. Thank you Meghan! Great service. The medium boat was spectacular.
Ive been to Wabora a few times now and the food is always great! Very fresh and always delicious.
We were in Bracebridge for one night and found this place near our hotel. I am so glad we decided to stop by for dinner. The atmosphere inside was great. The service was fantastic, and the restaurant was really quite packed. And now the important part, the food, absolutely greadwlixious. We packed as much food as we could into one meal, but I will be back to try some of the other fantastic sounding things on the menu. We started with tempura and fried dumplings. Both were really good. In hindsight, I wish I had ordered the vegetable tempura as the seafood tempura was a small portion for sharing. I had a dumpling soup after this which needed a bit of seasoning but was very tasty. Our main courses were the lobster volcano and my daughter had a couple of portions of sushi. Both were delicious and the leftovers came home with us for midnight snacks. For a finale we had the chocolates, spring rolls and the tempura banana. Again both very good. I will happily come back here again.
Good food.
Great Bento Boxes at lunch.
Great service from Conrad in particular - large selection of offerings in the menu and full bar. Good location - good food! Will be back!
Always high quality, always great service. Just went in for a couple of bento boxes this time, But you cant go wrong coming to Wabora at any time.
The food is top notch, Cindy the waitress is excellent . Our family and friends favorite restaurant Come and try for yourself!
Unable to give zero stars, Sat for 16 minutes and not one person came over, then on the way out a passive aggressive server told me to have a great night. What a joke
Receptive and open dining area Very friendly people and valuable experience - hosts and hostess, server(s) and, chef (s) In this experience, perhaps as others, presentation and portion are plus plus nevertheless price may relate and reflect $60-$70+ per person ($210 + tip) (1 drink 1 appetizer 1 main/per person + tip) And 3 men were not hungry after eating Thank you and take care Happiness and good health be with you
Waited 1.5 hours for the meals. I had to leave before food arrived because my baby was so fussy (we walked around the restaurant for 40 mins to calm him), so I notified the staff to cancel my steak because I couldn t eat it, as I had to go home. They wouldn t cancel it, and said they would have to pay for it since it was ordered anyways. I couldn t do that to them, so left and had my family pay for it. $55 later.. everything was so expensive, no all-you-can-eat sushi option. Traveller 35 mins for my birthday dinner and sadly won t return. I know this won t be everyone s experience here, but wanted to share mine. I never leave reviews and I think this is my worst experience at a restaurant ever. Wish they would have comped my meal and let me leave in peace.
Always a great meal. Love love love their Volcano and their Crispy Crunch Roll.
Great atmosphere and one of the best places to eat in Bracebridge. As a result they do tend to be busy so service can be a little slow. The food though is worth it.
Very delicious! The lady that greeted us was so nice, and was able to accommodate us a little earlier than our reservation time. Staff was very friendly. Food came out quick. Will be back again!
Been heading to Wabora since we moved to Bracebridge six years ago. What a find for a small community. Addicted to the combo bento box at lunch, with a seaweed salad, mixed-green salad, miso soup, California rolls, sushi and sashimi, and a cleverly sliced orange for desert. Now thats a meal! Dinners have always been great too. Best spot to eat in town.
Best sushi I have ever had. Price is per item but so worth it!! It has been a few years since I have been, but I have yet to have a sushi experience that can parallel the ones I have had at wabora. Throw out the concept of favourite dishes, everything that you eat in Wabora will be your new favourite until the next bite. Each dish is a masterpiece.
To start the service is outstanding. Very friendly. The food is also very good . I recommend to make a stop and try this place.
When we crave for sushi we drive 40 minutes to Wabora. Worth the drive. Good portion and fresh.
Hadnt been in a while, and theyve redone the interior very nicely. As always, amazing food!
I went in for a quick sushi roll lunch. I was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes, which was perfect for me. The food is fresh and authentic; delicious!! The staff are all smiles and kindness. And the restaurant is fully air conditioned on hot Muskoka days! I feel like I got both a nutritional break and also a calming, refreshing mental health upgrade. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
I still love Wabora. Ill put the 5th star back when the paper menus are brought up to the standard of the excellent food!
Food was super fresh, expertly made sushi. But be prepared for a bit of a price eye-opener. Saying that, I felt it was worth it.
All I can say is wow. The atmosphere was amazing... I loved the music. I had the Fire Chicken and it was delicious and beautifully plated. My children had a variety of sushi.. sooooo yummy and again beautifully plated. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
One of our date night go-tos!
Wabora is like no other sushi restaurant. There s no wrong choice! The food is AMAZING!!!! They combine foods & sauces like no other. Sushi is only one of MANY things to choose from. Service is great too! Parking: Lots of parking.
The food was so good, and service was great. Highly recommended.
The food was great. The service was great. Visually, the restaurant has an OK atmosphere but coming through the speakers is some very very generic devotional music. It is like easy listening but much more nauseating. The music is so unappetizing, its as though the owners are forcing the patrons to eat a half pound of synthetic sugar with every serving of food. It makes a meal at a sushi restaurant feel like youre sitting in a Zellers cafeteria counter in the 90s. The music could not be worse. Seriously. It is the only restaurant Ive ever been where death metal would improve the dining atmosphere. We were all completely dumbfounded. If youre hearing impaired, youre in for a treat though.
Delicious. First time Ive seen riceless sushi rolls and loved it.
Food is very good, but they ve really downsized their rolls while also increasing their prices by a lot. The eel roll is the tiniest thing I ve ever seen. Server was great!
Very average sushi. Place is nice. Service was also nice but sushi was very Average
Looked very forward to sharing this place with my daughter who was visiting from out of town and she is quite a foodie. As usual and as expected the food was great. Very unfortunate that the dining experience was horrible. My entrée was served after my daughter had finished hers. This made the experience very awkward - as people who get their food first want to wait til the other person has theirs. The person without wants the person who has their food to eat while it is hot / fresh. When mentioned to our server there was no apologies, just a blank look and she advised that my order was coming soon. Considering this was invaluable one on one time for my daughter and I, the experience was horrible. Upon checking with many other locals this is not uncommon at this restaurant. I will continue to order for take out but will never eat in again. I will add my daughter is also a professional in this industry and advised we still leave a good tip as this should not affect the kitchen staffs earnings.
Walked out before ordering anything after a long wait. Menu is now a QR code, took us 10 minutes to realize this as no menu was brought by and no one mentioned it. No wifi available so you need data on your phone to be able to order something? Really not accessible. Menu has no details about the food and you have to scroll through a million things. Price has gone up. Didnt seem to want our business at all. Dietary restrictions: Zero details in menu
Good food and service, but not as flavorful as it should have been in comparison with on par restaurants. Bit pricy as well.
Great little sushi spot! Its nice not having to drive to the city to get authentic sushi.
Plain, and overpriced (Tempura plate is 12$ for a piece of shrimp, two slices of calamari ring, and 3 pieces of scallop on a stick). Service is good, The copy of the menu we quickly noticed is on a lightly crumpled papers stapled together. We had the Shrimp yaki udon, beef bulgogi and the said tempura plate for 80$.
Just picked up a gift certificate for a friend who loves Wabora..
Cindy is the best server! Incredibly quick and friendly service as well as delicious sushi.
Good food, good service. Beef teriyaki was satisfying... Perfectly cooked medium rare. Spicy Salmon roll is a bit crumbly.
not sure what s going on with the volcano roll (I guess it s at least supposed to be sushi) but it really looks like fried rice n really don t know what s the yellow crumble thing on top. It somehow successfully killed my appetite. I understand restaurant could get busy sometimes but you can t mix fried rice with sushi. REALLY?! Won t come back again. Really disappointed.
Perfect?
Salmon salad and beef teriyagi tasted here It was really delicious. The salmon sushi and avogado sushi we had as appetizers were really fresh and captured my wife and Is appetite. I have the best lunch of my life I will definitely stop by when I come here again.
Amazing food, excellent service!
Fresh and delicious sushi, with excellent service! The washrooms were also kept very clean. I appreciate that you can see right through the back to the chefs working in the kitchen. The server was excellent and thought of every detail, including bringing chopsticks set up for kids for my little niece. She also enjoyed the meal, and ate everything up. The restaurant itself is very large with lots of seating to accommodate a large number of guests. I imagine this would also be a great place to host a party! I highly recommend eating here, or ordering takeout.
Very pleasant waiter, extensive menu, slow delivery and our steak was tough and a bit flavourless.
Took way to long for the food to arrive, ridiculously long.
Weve been Wabora customers for years, the food is absolutely exceptional and we have always had a positive experience until yesterday. We were celebrating my daughters 17th birthday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We were seated right away and then proceeded to wait 25 minutes before the server even came to the table. When she did she was unfriendly and seemed annoyed, took our drink and food orders at the same time. a Sushi boat for 3 arrived about 25 minutes later and is about 60% of the size it used to be, it was barely enough for 2. We were a party of 5 so also ordered several rolls and 1 main entree. 45 minutes after the sushi boat arrived (so wed been at the restaurant for an hour and 10 minutes at this point), our additional rolls showed up but staggered with 5-10 minutes between each arriving to the table. My daughters entree finally arrived after we had been there 1 hour and 40 minutes. There was no apology at any time from the server and at no time during this long long wait were our drinks replenished, nor were we checked on to see if she could get us anything. The table next to us were seated and their order was taken and food was delivered within 20 minutes. Our bill was $270 and it is the first in my life I have ever only tipped 5%. Super disappointing. I understand restaurants are struggling everywhere with staffing shortages and high food costs but at this price point and calibre of food I expected more. The food is still absolutely outstanding but we left annoyed and ticked off. Not a great way to celebrate a birthday.
Best sushi in Bracebridge.
Awesome fresh authentic Japanese cuisine. Very creative presentation and a variety of specialty dishes
Disappointed. I used to come here when they opened years ago and was always impressed. They no longer have the hibachi tables, I m not sure why they would get rid of them as it was always a delightful experience. The sushi is good but definitely not worth the outrageous prices. We (my partner and I) ended up spending over $100 and left hungry. Ordered the tempura seafood appetizer for $12 and it only came with 1 piece of shrimp, 1 piece of calamari and 1 tiny thing of scallop. It should say on the menu that this isn t even enough for 1 person, let alone a table. They don t even have proper menus (they are paper printouts with stains on them), and you don t even get a container of soy sauce on your table, you get little take out packets. For the price you would think this would be standard. Sad to say we will not be back.
I dont know what happened over the last 6 months, but this restaurant has gone from being a must visit to avoid at all costs. I think they may have a new chef because the dishes have no taste and some things taste quite stale. Probably the worst meal I have had in years. Food was cold and tasteless, received the wrong orders, bill was incorrect. The expensive prices used to be worth it for the food but now there is nothing that justifies the price of the menu, especially when the menus you are given are used crumpled and stained papers. The service also left a lot to be desired. Extremely slow and forgetful. It seems very clear that they are more focused on their takeout business than their in person dining experience. Unfortunately, this place is no longer somewhere I will go or recommend.
Ive been going to this restaurant for a long time, 14+ years. Sushi is fantastic. Too bad teppanyaki tables are gone, but still fantastic food. Expensive but worth it!!
Great sushi spot! The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, some of the best salmon sashimi we ve had (and we ve had a lot)! Can t wait to go back!
High prices and was expecting very good food for that but it felt like a really cheap fast food place. Only one server working on a busy Friday, the food was poor, the seaweed paper inside the rolls was like rubber. Will not recommend.
We and 2 friends had dinner August 11/23. Food was good, atmosphere light and not cold (some restaurants too dark and too cold), all staff very friendly, and accommodating (especially our server AJ and a lovely 40s something Asian gentleman behind the bar). Customer service above and beyond, and we will definitely return! A great experience!
My first impression about this restaurant was that it was very chaotic and unorganized. The foods were extremely overpriced. I spent $25 for a bowl of grilled beef udon with 5 tiny pieces of cooked beef. Very disappointed!
Pros Sushimi taste great Only Sushi in town that I can find Very busy place with large group Waitress was great, apologies 4x she was too busy Cons Portion very small Very unorganized Like a lot of restaurants, not enough staff Saki definitely was not hot enough Menu was disgusting. Dirty photocopy that has been passed to one customer too many No Wasabi came with sushi Soy sauce came in small disposal package Definitely will not go back!
Always amazing service and food. Love Wabora
Best !!!!!!!!!
This has to be the best Sushi restaurant in Muskoka, bar none. We have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed, so far. The Spring rolls are crisp, non greasy and served with a delightful sweet chilli sauce. The Prawn dumplings are rich and succulent and packed with shrimp, other options available. The Summer Roll is full of crab and mango, then wrapped in lettuce and the thinnest rice pancake. We followed these starters with Philly/ Salmon roll and the ubiquitous California, every ingriedient was so fresh, that we ordered more. Accompanying it my husband tried an Agent Orange cocktail and I had the Sake. Service here is very good even when the place is super busy. Lunch is also delicious with set menu, or to order. Music is unassuming and allows good conversation. Price is reasonable with drinks and service around 120 but really you can eat as little or as much as you want. Vegetarian options: Veggie options available in rolls and hot food. Although was slightly dissapointed with the saute vegetables and lack of different seasonal ingredients.
Delish
Rude staff, unwilling to make a sale for some reason, very interesting. Was my first.tike going in, wont be going back. Its astonishing you would hire staff unwilling to work and make sales. Ill go where theyll be happy to take my money!
Came here for our anniversary. Absolutely fantastic sushi! Will definitely be going back.
Awesome lunch.
Best sushi I ever had!
But its a bit expensive.
Staff was nice but please look at my medium rare steak LOL
We use to go in for lunch and dinner often, last time my family and i went for lunch spend $300+ for 3 people when we ask for dessert it were refused to be served because they were closing, but we could do a order to take out .. that become a bad restaurant to go
Just ordered from here yesterday and food is usually absolutely amazing but this time it was just meh. I didnt get sick from it - it just didnt taste the freshest. Usually top notch- but not this time.
Great food. Amazing vibe. Had a great time!
Went with a party of 20. Service was great, portions were great, and the owner actually came and greeted us. Would highly recommend everyone to check it out!
3 pcs of vegetable tempura is $11, it s really overprice. Chicken tonkatsu and spicy bolgogi prices are really expensive, yes portion is big but taste not worth the price. The only thing I am satisfied is the place it is spacious. Service is good.
I havent been in a while, but I was not disappointed. The service was great and the food was delicious. Definitely a great place to eat.
Great food.
Best place to go for dinner in Bracebridge. (Sushi)
The quality of the food is amazing as always, but the prices have increased significantly these past few years. Most restaurants have raised their prices a bit but Waboras menu has skyrocketed. As it is, it makes for a nice special-occasion dinner!
We came here for dinner and requested a booth but the waitress for that area was not on shift yet, however an other very sweet waitress assigned to another section waited on us anyways. The service was fast and food was fresh! We felt satisfied after sharing edamame, Agedashi tofu and 3 rolls. They had plenty of vegetable rolls to choose from
This is one of my familys favourite spots to go for a special event/meal. Everything on the menu is dynamite!
No fish for sushi (wish the server told us before we ordered drinks)???, service was very slow, entrees were cold and meal was incredibly pricey. To say I would not recommend this restaurant is an understatement!
Very good food but also very expensive
Best lunch deal in Bracebridge. Our favourite is the Katsu (crispy chicken) Bento Box for $19 which will last you the rest of the day. So many great tastes! Friendly and leisurely service. No fast food here. Highly recommended.
The food was decent. But was surprised with the cost of the sushi. 3 pieces for $12 is not worth it. Overall decent food.
The food was good, but a bit pricey. The staff was friendly. However the menu wasnt too creative.
Delicious)
The best sushi I have ever had, hands down!! The crispy crunch roll is my go to favourite. I have visited Wabora many times and I have never been disappointed.
Best sushi ever!! Can t believe this place is in Muskoka. Definitely recommend trying this spot, it s a bit pricey but worth it
We enjoyed out visit here and will definitely return. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The selection of rolls is great and everything was delicious and high quality.
Love this restaurant. Our favorite for many years!! *edit to change from 5 stars to 3. Havent been since the pandemic...disappointed in changes. Decor is nicer now(outdated before) no more hibachi tables, menu is not as good, everything is crazy expensive ( as we understand with cost of everything) and to be honest what we ordered was OK...not awesome. Not 5 star..just ok... pretty disappointed.. the staff however was lovely.
Th food was ok. Ordered the spicy salmon, salmon avocado, salmon sashimi and the tuna crunch.
Food is tasty but very very over priced for the type of food.
Possibly the worst meals We ve had . We ordered a teriyaki takeout for dinner. We have had several meals from Waboro and this was a disaster. The chicken was over cooked, the veggies were almost raw, the rice was cold paste. At $67 this was an unexpected ripoff.
We had an amazing lunch for a special occasion. The waitress was fantastic as usual. Hope to return next year again! Thanks.
All around great food, would recommend to anyone who lives near. Just don t drive stupid near the parking lot! Lots of blind corners.
Excellent food and beverage selection. I will be returning with clients.
This was a fantastic experience. The Spicy Salmon and Spicy Tuna rolls were to die for. The owners are excellent hosts and made sure our group was well taken care of and I will definitely be back in the near future. Great Job team! Keep up the great work
Very fresh sashimi, sushi and sushi rolls. Tempura was also excellent - perfectly light batter and well cooked.
Best sushi in northern Ontario!
Our go to place for the Bento box lunch special.
Great service. Treated us like a close friend. Food was great too. Seated us last minute and didn t kick us out after closing. Let us finish.
Wabora is always the best!!!
Food was good. Only one waitress was working on around 10 tables by herself. Kudos for keeping calm and doing her best to satisfy her customers. The 3 star is for her. Only complain is or there are other staff which can assist her, but they didnt. We were standing around waiting for 10 minutes.
Great food, reasonable price. Unfortunately short staffed at the moment but worth the extra wait!
Very good, lots of choices on the menu, fast service and big portions. Definitely enjoyed.
Amazing food and friendly staff! We love eating in the dining room as well as getting takeout!
Great fair BUT closed on Sunday and afternoons.
Lunch Bento box portion and quality are great. Waitress and owner are friendly. Restaurant is spacious and clean.
