This was our first time trying Main St. Deli, and we couldn't be more impressed! When our original caterer had a last-minute conflict, Tyson and his team at Main St. Deli stepped in to save the day. Despite the short notice, they ensured everything went smoothly, delivering a fantastic spread for our Christmas party. The food was outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every dish was a hit, and the portions were generous. Tyson and his team really went above and beyond, making sure everything arrived on time and in perfect condition, so we could focus on enjoying the celebration. A huge shout-out to Tyson for his excellent coordination and the entire team for making our event a success. We’ll definitely be turning to Main St. Deli for future events. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality food and top-notch service! 5 stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Honestly, I had a lot of hope going in. The looks of it was great, the seating area and spacing great, but I I ordered the BLTG and “upgraded” to a Caesar salad… when I got my sandwich it looked great but I took a bite and it was overly filled with mayo, so much that it was shooting out of the sandwich everywhere which would have been fine if it were a small portion and I didn’t have to take any home. But I did and it was obviously super soggy. I looked at my Caesar salad a knew it was going to be bad. To put it simply I needed some lettuce with my dressing. It was so gross, and I don’t like using that word but it truly was soggy from the start and unfortunately I took one bite and was done. To make things worse, our waiter only checked on us once before we sat for 15 minutes waiting to ask for our bills. once we asked for our bills that took about another 10 which was all very surprising because it’s not that large of an area to cover. Overall I wouldn’t recommend coming here. I paid 30$ for a meal I couldn’t even eat from the start because it was drenched with dressing. & I mean drenched! I’m sorry if this was just a bad day but for me it was not worth the cost or the hassle.(also the salad looked exactly like this from the minute I received it, unfortunately. I only took it home to see if my husband would eat it, so I could atleast not waste it and he was shocked as well and wouldn’t.)
Very friendly server (owner maybe) who happily walked us through the beautiful menu. BLTG was huge and delicious; house made aioli was perfect. Tomato soup was full of roasted garlic. My husband had the harvest salad with chicken and said it was excellent. A great patio and all around wonderful first visit. We’ll be back for sure.
Service was great. Very nice people and very attentive. I had the roast beef sandwich, my wife had the Harvest chicken salad. The sandwich was very good... But the salad looked and tasted amazing (cuz I stole some off her plate). Fries were good too. We're only around for a couple of days and we may go back - I'll have the salad!
This Deli style restaurant has hit all the goals in the restaurant business that every dinner wants. A bar that is set high and customers are confident they will get Delicious food, served by very friendly super efficient staff, at a fair price the first time visit to the hundredth visit. The diner experience is without fault EVERY SINGLE TIME.
14 of us had lunch in this well managed, clean pub like atmosphere. The menu was quite extensive for lunch. I had smoked meat with lightly seasoned fried potatoes (or a bowl of soup) and a delicious dipping bowl of gravy and a pickle. Beer selection is excellent, including nonalcoholic. On a nice day, you can eat out on the deck overlooking the main street... umbrellas and chairs The service was very efficient and friendly. Recommend you go a bit early if you can...11-12.
If I could give a 6th star for service I would. Super super attentive and I have not heard thank you so many times at a restaurant. Great deli sandwich and shrimp was delicious, love me some coconut shrimp. Very clean dinner vibe and nice open patio for those pretty days. I will be 200% be back and crush another sandwich!!
The best smoked meat sandwiches I've ever had in Canada. Great food, exceptional service, and keep up the great work! By far, my favourite delicatessen in Ontario. Highly recommended everyone try if you love delicatessen sandwiches and great food. The staff are wonderful too!!

The quality of food simply does not match the asking price. For example, the Chicken Caesar salad was just bad. The chicken was a couple dry fried chicken strips, the salad was minced iceberg lettuce with way too many basic croutons and enough salad dressing to drown in, along with a single slice of bacon broken into a few pieces. For a deli, this is the worst Reuben I have ever had. Service was quick, prompt and nice. Would not recommend, will not return. Parking: Parking at the front has 3 spots
Had a fantastic experience with my family here. The place is beautiful, great atmosphere, the services was phenomenal, and to save the best for last, the food was perfection. We all loved what we ordered and the Gluten-Free Options were excellent as well. Highly recommend visiting and enjoying the view from the patio. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-Free Optionss for my husband and the Buns tasted amazing. Kid-friendliness: Loved the games you can play together and how kind the staff was with my daughter.

Incredible! We love smoked meat, so we were excited to give this spot a try. Prices were reasonable, food was hot and fresh, and the staff were great! The owner checked in with us a few times during the meal which we really appreciated. Definitely give this spot a try if you re in the area!

By far the best Reuben sandwich and fries around, especially in Muskoka. My favorite restaurant in the area. I dont even bother going to any other restaurant in Bracebridge because Main St never dissaponts. Enjoy!
Every time I go to this place I am always very pleased. The sandwiches are AMAZING. The fries were so perfectly crispy. Literally look forward to visiting bracebridge just to eat here. Killer sandwiches

A not so Hidden gem in muskoka! My favourite spot for a delicious lunch. Smoked sandwhich is superior! And wedges are unmatched. Service is always good and the pricing has stayed consistent over the years. Dinner specials are amazing as well!

OMG I M IN AN INTENSE STATE OF EUPHORIA!!! I just finished the beef tenderloin dinner and my honest review is . this one s a winner by far hands down. Everything all blended together nicely, the steak was flavourful and tender. Sweet potato melted in your mouth with a subtleness about it and the rosemary pastries are delicious with a robust intense impact on your taste buds. It starts with the rosemary that commands your attention and finishes nicely with the apple sweetness. Definitely worthy of licking every last morsel off your plate! I would be shocked to the core if this meal isn t met with the utmost positive customer satisfaction. I LOVED IT!
My favorite place with the best food!
Meat quality was great. However for 20$ you should be getting a more hefty meal. Did not get our money worth for the 50$ we spent. Would like to try again because of how good the meat was!
Charming little spot with THE BEST sandwich I ve had in a long time! Everything is made from scratch in-house, and no details are missed from portion size to selections in how to customize your sammy. Staff were efficient and courteous. This is a MUST dine spot for lunch when in Bracebridge! We will be coming back for sure.

I have Celiac Disease and am usually very aprehensive about trying new places for food, especially a deli!! Well I never should have worried one bit. From when I walked in the door until my meal was delivered, I was re-assured how safe it was for me. I enjoyed soup and a sandwich and had no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend this place and will be going back for sure. I took photos, I had the Smoked sandwich and the split pea soup.

I used to love this place and take my workshops and out-of-town guests here for lunch. Unfortunately, theyve changed their menu to eliminate wraps. I have a yeast-intolerance (different from gluten), so Im unable to find much to eat on their menu now. Big bummer! Note: this review was edited to reflect the change in menu in 2023.
Their food is so deliciously fresh that I genuinely contemplated never cooking with processed ingredients again. Even on having the mushroom soup, the word that came to mind is that it tasted clean. That sounds bizarre, yet its absolutely appropriate, even my boyfriend agreed when he tried it. This food is phenomenal. I recommend the lot!

Great deli with an outside patio. We stopped here for lunch and had a very tasty corned beef sandwich with home made fries, gravy, garlic mayo and a side Greek salad. The food was very tasty - the bread, meat, overall flavour and freshness were top notch. Staff were friendly and attentive and they allowed our puppies to be outside with us. Will definitely stop by here again when in Bracebridge. The portions were generous and we even had leftovers! Good price range with 1/4 pound, 1/2 pound and full pound options on the sandwiches. Quite a find in Muskoka!

One of the top lunches in the area, I have yet to try dinner. Super friendly and accommodating staff, well priced selection of amazing soups and sandwiches. Nice patio for people watching on the main street when the weather cooperates.

Really good, but pricy. You can see the serving sizes in some of the pictures. Smoked meat sandwich and about a dozen fries for $17. My wifes club was twice the size for the same price. Would I recommend or go again? Yes, but maybe order something different.
Ive eaten probably 5,000 sandwiches in my life....and this one is easily top 5 EVER. Entire group is STILL talking about the experience weeks later!!!! Poutine is def worth it The spicy career is no joke spicy!!! Would consider making a detour just to go again!!!

I was very happy to stop in on a cold day for soup and a sandwich. Once the time came to pay, I was told I had a previous bill that hadn t been paid (due to their own machine malfunctioning in November and after several attempts at reading my card, they said I could leave and it was their fault). It s April. Without hesitation I paid as I am happy to support local. Having spent the better part of 10 years in the restaurant industry, it is ingrained in me that there is a right way and a wrong way to treat people. Unfortunately, they chose the wrong way. I was made to feel small, less than, and like I did something wrong. The comments that were made were rude and demeaning. Not to mention the receipt was completely discolored from being so old and was only for $55. They stated there was an attempt to call me and left a voicemail, but nonetheless, both bills, which were both about $55 will be the last I ever spend there. I hope the $55 was worth loosing several customers forever. Due to the discouraging and disappointing customer service, I will continue going to any other local restaurants where I have experienced nothing but exceptional customer service.
We ate here for the first time today. The sandwiches were fantastic, the lettuce, tomatoes and sour dough were fresh, the meat portion was very generous and the honey mustard was amazing. The service was great too. We ll be back next time we re in town, thank you Main St. Delicatessen.

Main Street Deli is by far one of my favourite places to eat lunch in Muskoka! The sandwiches are always delicious. I m Celiac (ok with cross contamination) and they ve got a few options! My go-to is the Smoked Sandwich with the Tomato Soup, before the GF situation and after. My only wish is that the gluten free bread (though delicious) was bigger. I have to order a full-sized sandwich at lunch to come anywhere near the half size sandwich with the regular bread. Just be aware of that, my gluten free friends, and order the full soup/sandwich combo!
I go back many times . Its my go to restaurant when I have someone new in town or on a date. Consistently good food and service. Family owned and their pride in the craft shines through

We have been there twice and both experiences were fantastic. Were going again today after a visit to High Falls. I want to comment on the stupid post by Kate. You in no way support local trying to duck a 55 bill. You in no way support local. You got got caught and should be ashamed instead of publically whining about it. You went back there and should have been kicked to the curb. This local business instead gave you the right to pay it and their review was to say the least restrained. We were so well impressed by this place that we are definitely coming back this same week that we are staying in Muskoka. The sandwiches are soooo delicious, soups uniquely tasty, and the salad was fresh. Since we have been visiting Ontario this is one, If not the best, place we have tried for food. This is a true gem, and it should have 5 stars, not 4.7. I would definitely recommend to anyone. UPDATE: This place is so good we made a strategic stop on our way back from Gravenhurst to Huntsville just to try another soup and another sandwich, and once again they blew our minds. I wish we had discover them when we first got to Muskoka, but I am happy we got to try a few things. Best of luck, you truly have a gem here.

Its good for Muskoka. The sweet potato fries were pretty tasty. Also tried the Reuben sandwich with the tomato soup on the side. Both were ok, but probably wouldnt go for the soup again. Id come back here again though.

Wonderful small-town shoppe with impressive list of sandwiches, some of which are quite unique, and other tasty grub. Menu options are flexible to ones choice. Attentive and pleasant staff, Tyson in particular is just one sociable gem. 10/10 will come back again!

This place is just fantastic! Quality ingredients, exceptional deli meats and great service to boot. We enjoyed the Smoked turkey sandwich the most, and all of the side dishes (AMAZING salad dressing, fries and split pea soup with yummy bacon slices) were so tasty. Soooo delicious! Enjoyed a super fresh and tasty lunch on the extended patio. Wings in BBQ sauce were hearty and delicious. The italiano, roast beef, and BLTG sandwiches were outstanding. The mixed greens salad with goat cheese was superb. Can t say enough - it was the perfect lunch spot!

Picked up a corned beef sandwich ($16) expecting to get a large sized sandwich and ended up with a small depressing looking slab of meat and bread. Tastes great but awful portion size for the price. Not worth it.

I was charged 15$ for chicken fingers and frys.......I got 3 chicken fingers that were maybe half the size of my hand & maybe 7 frys. I mine as well of put in another 15$ and went to the steak house. Over priced for small portions.

What a super deli. Nice clean and modern, it has a patio for warmer weather, great stuff on the menu, we had corned beef and soup, Montreal smoked meat, and fresh cut fries.

I go here pretty often and have never had anything less than a perfect experience. The staff are lovely and accommodating and seem to enjoy their work, and the food is just right every time. Ive never had a single meal that I didnt totally LOVE. Keep it up! Love the new location.
