What an authentic Mexican experience!! The food was amazing, Melene was superb and provided us with a very warm and friendly service- it reminded us of living in Mexico again this is a MUST go in Bracebridge. We look forward to coming back mostly for the mezcal margararitas but the food was top notch also. Highly recommend!! Celiac friendly, the most authentic Mexican food in Muskoka :) Thanks for being here we LOVED it! Do not miss this place xx

Had a fantastic dinner here. We had the Flautas de Pollo and the steak burrito. Both meals were excellent, and the servers were friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming here again and sampling more of the menu.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly food and service. We had to wait 45 mins to be seated (which was 100% worth it!) so just plan ahead if you are bringing kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant interior and restaurant bathroom (upstairs) are wheelchair accessible.

Waited over an hour for some mediocre tacos. Not a fan

Been a regular and always have had a great dining experience with food and service however today it was a major disappointment . Service was slow, burrito when served was not even warm. Our server agreed and said he would get another for us. The same one came back 10 min later even cooler than before. Probably our last time dining in the restaurant, next time we will do take out as at least you can warm it up in the microwave.

Waited 1 hour for take-out. When original timing was 20 minutes. Will NEVER be back. Tacos were also not even good after waiting that long.

The owner is incredible. She is so warm and inviting. If you go a few times she even remembers your favorite dishes.

Super friendly staff, great environment and generous portions. Have your food as mild or spicy as you like it. And if the food wasnt marvellous enough, the fresh to order Churros and homemade ice cream are worth the trip all by themselves. If you come to Muskoka and dont go to El Pueblito - you have missed out.

Food was absolutely amazing and definitely represented true authentic Mexican food, huge portions and amazing owner our favourite was the pico dish with the corn chips! Not to mention this place is pet friendly and they are super welcoming to furry friends. Be prepared to love this place, it s truly a gem!!

1st time very enjoyable and food was very fresh and good quality and well prepared.

First time visiting this restaurant. The food and waitress were great; however, the hostess was rude and mean. We were a family with two kids trying to decide on whether the menu had something kid-friendly while still outside of the restaurant but within the fenced area. The hostess told us that we needed to either ask to be seated or wait on the sidewalk, but that we couldnt be there. It is noted that at this time the restaurant just opened and there was only one couple inside. We understand that if the restaurant was busy, we may be on the way for others, but this was not the case. We regret not leaving right then, but our kids were hungry and tired and didnt want to keep on looking for another place. Usually, restaurants are accommodating with families. At the end of the day, the overall experience left a sour taste with all of us, and we will not return.

Delicious food. Surprisingly quick, too. The owners are very kind. Authentic. I go here for gluten free options when I want to eat out. All of the tacos should be gluten free, just double check. Mole is gluten free, last time I checked. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free (celiac)

Seriously a great choice for Mexican cuisine. We did take out, but the employees were very kind while I waited. Food was great. Portion sizes are quite large, so don t be deterred by the price. Definitely recommend

We have dined here many times. It s our favourite place to eat in Bracebridge. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed and I recommend El Pueblito to all my friends.

The lady with the accent (server) was very rude with her answers. As if she did not want to serve us. The other staff members (Asian girl and front counter girl) were very kind and pleasant. Too bad. The place seemed nice but not nice enough to put up with rudeness.

We discovered this spot a few years ago while driving through town and have made it a point to visit whenever we are in the area. Portions are generous and prices reasonable. Food and service have always been awesome and the Margarita nights, well sometimes I prefer to let someone else drive because they are soooo good.

Not only has it got a great vibe, thats obviously from the owners love of her home country, but the food is high quality. So many places all taste the same these days, since the suppliers are the same and their products are average. This restaurant is the real deal. Prices are good also.

Go for the food; stay for the margaritas and the artwork. Stopped here on a weekend trip north from Toronto. Lots of places are closed outside cottage season and we weren t sure what to expect. The food was delicious, the decor was fantastic and the hostess/waitress/owner was lovely. Absolutely would return.

Best mexican in town

I spent my Birthday there for dinner, the wait for a table hurt my old bones.The tequila shot helped.sorry about the little shot glass.We were a party of 10. My meal was a delicious birria burrito. Mexican is not for everyone. But the majority enjoyed. This is not Taco Bell.my wife and I dream of returning. Have the Churros.6 each.oh heaven.Thanks El Publito.

Frist time at El Pueblito and BY FAR, let me say that again, BY FAR!! One of the best Mexican restaurants i have been to. Food is amazing. I had the tacos and by far one of the best tacos Ive ever eaten. Drinks were so good! I would say if you havent been here before you have to come here!

Exceptional food but service to be desired.. very busy but what does it take to say hello. The young gentleman waiter would rather be somewhere else. When you work for your tips, making your customers feel welcome goes very far for a good tip hence , why he did not get a good one. we asked for water and he brought one glass! And not even cold I ve never experienced a waiter who ever did that. We had no friendly conversation or anything close to it not even a Hello or how are you this evening!!! I think you should know how the service was.

During my visit to Bracebridge, my dining experience at El Pueblito stood out as a highlight. The Birria tacos, enhanced with cheese, were exceptionally flavorful, ranking among the best I have ever savored. The owner and staff exhibited a commendable level of friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The El Pueblito margarita complemented the tacos perfectly, and the irresistible churros were a delightful conclusion to the meal. Overall, the ambiance of the restaurant was enjoyable and added to the positive dining experience.

27th of Jan-2024. We came for lunch. Our first visit. The restaurant was buzzing! The staff was very pleasant to interact with. The food was amazing. Do not think of chain food here. Everything is made right here, using own recipes. If you think, you dont like Mexican food, come in here and taste for yourself how good it can be. Entrees are between $20 and $24. A Margarita small $16. What turned us off, was the aggressive tipping screen on the payment machine, starting at $18%. Vegetarian options: There are a handful of very yummy vegetarian options on the menu, which we very much appreciated.

My all time favourite place. Phenomenal margaritas and outstanding food. My mouth drools just thinking of it! I wish I remembered to take a picture of my meal but I literally can t stop shovelling it into my mouth long enough to take a photo. Absolute gem! Great authentic Mexican food. Found this restruant on our way back to Hamilton from the cottage, reviews looked good so we stopped in. The reviews were spot on, everything from the food, drinks to the service were excellent! Unfortunately they dont take reservations, its small place and it was packed however its worth the wait if you have the time! Thanks for a great night well be back!

We went with a group of friends with our Samoyed dogs to the patio at El Pueblito. Well what a little gem of a restaurant. The staff were so sweet and even brought out bowls of water for our dogs. The food was really great. Best avocado dip I ve had and amazing tacos as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Everything is made from scratch and oh so good. And the margaritas wow very yummy!! I had the mango one. It was so good. Great experience and great food. I highly recommend stopping into this restaurant if you are in Bracebridge.

We went for a late lunch on Friday Jun 30th 2023 and had one of the best meals we ve ever had in these past few years ! Definitely the best Mexican food in Ontario we ve had. We took the tostado de Tinga de Pollo as a shared appetizer, and for main course we had the Tacos - Birria de Res, Flautas de Pollo and the Empanada - Carne Deshebrada. Everything was fresh, hot and oh so delicious! The portions were generous and filled with sauces that rounded up the dish extremely well. The corn-based empanada was big, and both soft inside and crispy on the outside. It came with crunchy lettuce and vegetables plus saucers on top. The four of us shared an order of 4 churros for desserts, which were again freshly made to order and very good size. We had the El Pueblito Margarita and it contained some many refreshing flavours, each sip for better than the one before and complemented the food really well. Our waitress was super friendly, knowledgeable and patient. We tried to go back two days but realized they were closed on Sunday. Oh and their patio is dog friendly so we were able to bring our sheepadoodle with us and prices for the value were incredible! Dietary restrictions: Some gluten free options.

Recommended by local friends, we went at around 5:30pm Saturday night (8 July 2023). Ordered the Guacamole con Totopos, Carne Asada Burrito, Birria de Res Tacos, and Churros. Portion sizes were decent, lots of filling for the burrito - decent sized steak bites throughout. One can taste cilantro in every bite, a bonus for cilantro lovers. Taco meat (beef) was tender and had good flavour, decent amount compared to other restaurants. Busy but no line ups.

Excellent and typical Mexican food - flavours just like in Mexico, which is not that easy to find. Service can be a little slower due to popularity. Only thing I would improve is bringing water and not diluting marguaritas aside from this is was perfect

First time at this restaurant, as part of a first time travel to Canada. Came in a large group with seniors. Teenager 1 confirmed, the waiting time is 30 minutes for two tables to be joined together, but there is a table for 4 empty, and the seniors in my party can sit on that whilst waiting for the other table to clear. Teenager 2 came out and advised the seniors cannot sit there and have to wait for the other table to become available. I then asked a lady with an accent if she was the manager and she completely ignored me, and started shuffling menus. Asked the same question again, and she told me to speak to the host. I said no, I am speaking to you about the misinformation provided to me. She told me to lower my voice and walked away. 45 minutes later, we were seated. And I came to understand that the lady was in fact the owner. At the end if the meal, a 20% gratuity was added without any prior knowledge and without any note on the menu. Absolute shambles of a place, service was so poor and the lady who owns the place, hats off to you for setting a great example - you should be embarrassed of yourself and your wait staff. I can only assume that the local Canadian population have low standards with regards to service! Will never recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada. PS. Instead taking ownership for the ridiculous service, the owner decides to reply with an implicit defence. Also, the food is not even real Mexican food!

Delicious Mexican food every time Ive come here. The Agua Horchata is truly the reason I come back, it is delicious on a hot summer day. Ive only had one issue here and that is a mix up in our food selection. However, I gave them another chance and my most recent meal here was delicious and accurate.

The best restaurant in Bracebridge amazing food and drinks

Exceptional! Great food, great ambiance, great service. Finally found a good taco place in Canada in the most unexpected places. It was delicious, the guacamole is a must have and so are all the tacos. Scarfed down with multiple glasses of horchata with music blaring in my ears, eating tacos after other, a little bit of chiquilin. The tortillas are always fresh and taste of corn as they should. The service is great and the owner is a very sweet lady who enjoys what she does. Do not miss out of bottles of tajin that you can buy from the front counter along with a tshirt of Frida Kahlo Vegetarian options: A good selection of something vegetarian in each of the sections from the main dishes, to tacos and even quesadillas.

What a pleasant surprise. I had the guac+tortillas and the tiger shrimp tacos. These specific tacos were better than almost all of the hipster-tacos that Ive had in Toronto! Will definitely be back and bring friends/family. ps - the interior is charming and the bathrooms are clean.

My boyfriend and I come here all the time whenever he comes to visit and its always the best experience. Last time I was there, the waiter remembered what we ordered on our previous visit which was so impressive! The staff is so lovely and always welcomes us with a smile :) My boyfriend and I are advocates for the birria tacos and mango margaritas and if you truly wanna treat yourself, end the night with some of their churros. Such a lovely restaurant, Im so glad they exist and so does my boyfriend that he wants to become an El Pueblito affiliate :) Wish I could eat here every single day, 24/7 365 days a week!!!

Really good, authentic, Mexican food. Definitely at Canadian prices though, so take that into consideration. But if youre missing some delicious Mexican food, this is the place.

The food was delicious ! Great flavours and had decent portions. Nachos and guacamole were delicious ! And the churros - to die for. Pricy, but mostly worth it. I had high expectations for the classic margarita but was quite disappointed in the fact there was sprite in it. Just not classic margarita flavour and seemed like a filler.

Cute spot with fantastic service and even more fantastic food! We got margaritas, the fish ceviche, guac, birria tacos and the chicken flautas. Everything was delicious! Best Mexican in the heart of Muskoka!

I went with a friend recently and had a great experience. The staff was great and the restaurant is authentic and bright and interesting to be in. Meals were generous and yummy. I was expecting more flavour (steak burrito), the steak was great but I felt it s delicious-ness was covered by all the rice in the wrap. I even used the salad and sour cream looking white sauce. But I wanted more POP of flavour. Next time I will try the tocos with the steak because I bet it s a better ratio to let the steak shine! Highly recommend. Will return. Parking: They don t have a parking lot. They are in the downtown area so there s usually street parking available.

(There are enough 5 star google reviews for this establishment to give you a sense that this is a quality establishment, nevertheless, my thoughts below.) The menu offered a variety of Mexican options, including vegan and vegetarian. It was quite obvious that our dishes were prepared with care and creativity. I particularly enjoyed the chicken burrito, which was bursting with bold and savory Mexican flavours. The dining room was nicely decorated and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lighting was just right, and the tables were simply, yet tastefully set. The service was top notch. The server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations. We never felt rushed, even though they were busy. The server checked with us a couple of times during the meal without being intrusive to ensure everything was okay.

What a discovery! Went to Santa s Village and sadly did a take out from this Mexican joint. Should have dined-in. The owner is passionate about what she does and it reflects in the food and service. The non-alcoholic mocktails were the best by far - try all flavors - guava, mango, pineapple and tamarind! Yes, tamarind - one of the most refreshing drink I ever had. The owner recommended vegetarian burrito and tacos along with guacamole & chips. Working through the dishes was a journey that took us to different places during different times! Everything was very distinct, flavorful and satisfying. The ambience is amazing - a colourful combination of Mexican colors, art and flavor. A must try.
