Have stopped at this restaurant a few times now and have enjoyed every time. Food is amazing and prices are very reasonable. Service is always good.

Half chicken way overdone and dry ordered a large beer expecting a stein but got the 16 oz. Onion rings nice and thick and crispy. Calamari was good. Enjoyed the grilled chicken club the take-home containers are solid, totally reusable. Maybe try the Montreal smoked meat next visit.

Chucks in Bracebridge is top notch. Good food and a good price and great service.

You know what we were here at 1230am and I was impressed at the quality of the food. Everything was fresh and 100% hot. I have been disappointed here before but they seem to have everything together now. Food was good. Service was good. Drinks were cold. Can t ask for much more especially at 1230am. 5 stars for what it is. Update: next time we were here there was vomit in the bathroom sink and the food was trash. I guess just don t expect anything and you ll be alright.

This place is suitable for Kitchen Nightmares. What are they even doing? Service was terrible. It took almost 40 minutes to recieve our app of garlic bread. The server said he was glad we ordered an app because it was going to be a long wait. We never recieved refills on our drinks the entire evening. When the entres arrived about an hour after ordering the food was subpar. The Caesar salad was soggy and warm due to the bowl being so hot. The chicken was overcooked and tasted as if it was old, frozen, and not properly defrosted. It had a weird texture. Server never clarified what size salad and I ended up with a tiny side salad with terrible chicken. The steak and fries were equally awful. Obviously the chef working the grill is brand new since they had to cut into the steak to see if it was cooked properly. Server was rude throughout. We paid $80 for this when we could have gone to the little Caesars right beside it for better quality and faster service. Dont waste your money here. And no I wont be emailing you my details because you cannot make this right. But I will tell everyone to never go here. If you wanna make it right board the building up and cut your losses.

Bracebridge Chucks Roadhouse. First thing is people were seated based on if they knew them. Basically locals sat first. The person seating guests was joking with them so we knew they were friends or known to the restaurant. Then our order was taken the same way and food served the same way. They were served first. Our steaks , ribs, wings and French fries were stone cold. Our food was served after the two tables standing behind us. We were told they were in line but at the bar which was a lie. Yet they were seated after us. Their food delivered first though. We asked why the food is taking so long (1 hour ) and they said it s coming. Ok we wait. Food comes and it s all cold. It has been sitting in the kitchen obviously. We told her everything was cold and she offered to get us warm French fries . Just warm fries. She took forever to come to our table in the first place and ask if everything was ok. We said forget it . We waited an hour for our food and didn t want to wait any more time. Then some of our drinks were forgotten and she never came back with them after we told her she didn t bring them. A manager looking person walked past our table and said how was everything ? Once again we explained what happened. No apology and she said ok I will let the kitchen know seriously?? That s all ? She walks in one door and out the other door of the kitchen in record time that there was no way she said anything. I have never not given a tip. That day we didn t. Nobody deserves anything. Their customer service from waitress to manager was horrible. I can t blame the kitchen because we don t know where the food sat before being brought out cold. I ordered a blue drink and they also must have just waved the alcohol over top. Plus the glass was all ice. Make sure you tell them little or no ice. Not that I suggest going to this location. Wait till winter hits and they rely on the locals. They will be hurting for business. Poor food, service and customer retention. Oh and those other two tables had fully eaten their meals before ours was delivered to our table. Hopefully they get their act together or they will find themselves closed by next winter. The restaurant replied to this asking me for my receipt and to send an email to them. I never kept the receipt . Most people don t. This was two weeks ago when we were on vacation. I have eaten at many Chucks but this was the worst. There was 7 people at our table and we were totally dissatisfied with our dinner and the reaction from staff. There was an issue and it should have been dealt with when we were there and not asking me for my receipt now. We spoke to two people and neither were that concerned when our meals and service was sub par

Excellent food that was reasonably priced. The place was packed, and they were a little under staffed, but our young server was great and engaging and saved the day. I recommend this restaurant, particularly during Maple Leaf games, where a large beer is $4. (Just reading the t-shirt)

Always hit and miss when we go. Went on Thanksgiving for take out and the waitress told us to order through the website. It would help me out. Bye! which came off more like she just didnt want to do the work. The website was frustrating and confusing to navigate and we didnt get either of the drinks we ordered. I understand its Thanksgiving and if this was a one off I wouldnt feel the need to review but its always a mixed bag here.

Never been to a Chuck s and will never ever go back .after waiting an hour our food arrived, it was so bad I ate a quarter of it and forgot the rest yuck! What I took home the dog had for being good while we were gone for longer than anticipated

The steak I ordered was not the steak brought to the table. I didn t send it back. Instead I brought it to the server s attention and made sure I wasn t charged for the more expensive cut. Otherwise the meal was very good.

Was part of a larger group, we were seated immediately. Our server was very nice and helpful, it was the food that was a huge disappointment. Between all of us we ordered burgers and fish and chicken fingers. Everything was so over cooked, hard and so dry. My daughter couldnt finish her chicken fingers because they were too hard to bite into. All the burgers had zero seasoning, and again were so dry and almost inedible, no one ended up finishing them. The fish as well was very dry and again went to waste. On top of that what threw everything off for me was the meat tasted off - had gone bad type of off - the smell of rotten meat is borderline what it tasted like. The breading on our food also tasted very sour. None of us finished our food, and the server was so nice we felt bad complaining. Then for 2 days afterwards most of us were sick! Upset stomachs, nausea (no vomitting), stomach pain. Something wasnt right with the food at all which is a shame because we were looking forward to it and the the place looked clean.

Called the store more than 10 times and no one responds that too on a Saturday night. Please be responsive to customers

Pros: Really good food pricing, nachos and quesadillas are delicious, patio is nice, polite staff. Cons: Ceasar salad doesnt have enough dressing, the non-alcoholic beverages are watered down, and theyre chronically understaffed so even the really good servers are stretched thin. Its also louder than many restaurants. I order food at the same time I order drinks but it never arrives in a timely manner. My recommendation: Go here at less busy times so you get your food within the hour.

Have been before its an ok place good value for the money but not consistent. Its all in the details and you have to have your ducks in a row. The small things add up. For example had the fish and chips good portion but the fries were cold who likes cold french fries? Parking: Lots maybe a bad sign?

Brenley our server refilled all our drinks before we could even ask, and our food was served with a smile. She returned throughout our meal to check on us. Thank you for our first experience, will be definitely be back to this restaurant.

went to chucks on saturday with my family and it was absolutely packed with a lineup out the door. was greeted by the hostess and informed of the wait (which was expected with how busy it was). when we got to our table our server (traci) was quick to greet us and was apologetic about the wait but immediately got our drink order. even with how busy it was all the servers were quick on their feet and willing to step in if someone needed help. seeing how packed the place was it was good to see how all the staff were helping and working together. our meals came out quicker than expected, everything was hot and delicious. would definitely recommend coming to chucks if you re ever in bracebridge for some great food and even better service. my family and i will be returning.

Came in for lunch, was advised by server that you have to read the fine print rules for the special as others have ruined it for everyone. Ok...just wanted lunch not to hear about corporate rules etc. How about maybe Welcome to Chucks and thank you for your patronage . We left and attended another establishment for a nice lunch. Hopefully the other Chucks in Muskoka provide a better dining experience.

Service was good, prices were good but the value was mediocre since the portions were pretty small. The rack of ribs were very small (approx 10 small ribs) and the steak was also small. I dont think Id choose to go to Chucks again.

I d like to first say Neil gave us some of the best service I have ever received. To go far enough to say his attention to detail is unmatched. I m currently a restaurant manager and wish my staff worked as hard as Neil did to provide the amazing service we received. I give him all the praise for making our night so awesome!

Had the strawberry salad. Absolutely fantastic. Waitress was excellent. Even though the place was packed, there was very little waiting.

We normally dont have an issue but this time was horrid. We ordered two drinks and waters, the waters took 15min to get out and 25min to order an app. Our app was missing added items. We ordered two surf and turfs, the one came out during our app and the second took over 30min additional to come out, and the first one was missing an item. Mind you tables that came after us (quite a bit after) and ordered the same surf and turf got theirs well we will still waiting for the one other. The waitress got the manager over who was slightly rude and all she said was it just happens Im sorry I can give you some sort of discount. The discount we received on a $100 bill was $6.25. After that our waitress was short with us and the manager was giving very disrespectful looks from across the room. Overall this was a horrible experience and for being somewhere we used to enjoy we will never be returning.

Order chicken parm. It was gross. Told waitress. She asked if i would like another meal. I said yes. 2nd meal was not much better but i ate it. Bill comes and both meals were on it. Both the waitress and manager refused to alter the bill. No one communicated that the seccond meal was not in place of the first. Bad experience all around. The manager was totally rude as well. Never again will i go there. I suggest you dont either.

I frequent this location and generally like it, but tonight both my meal and service was terrible. Spoke to the very young server about how bad my chicken was (could not cut it - recooked I assume) and it fell on deaf ears. Shame, as generally the servers are good. Definitely do NOT get the chicken.

Yet again, bad food , soggy and nearly cold, again and again, so finally will not go back. They were so awful I threw them for the seagulls and got shouted at by a horrible bartender. It really has gone to the dogs, it used to be good, and great value, shame.

My family goes regularly to see Melissa and Traci, best bartenders around. Food is always great along with service.

Inexpensive but they do NOT tell you that they add their own honest to goodness fee when you get the bill. This skirts legality but apparently we are warned in the menu. Somewhere. We had to sit in two groups on the patio because of fire regs - or they could have moved a table. And an umbrella would be nice. We were the only ones on patio. They expected an 88 year old to sit at a picnic table. However they could have closed the patio on us, so...I guess. That would have been 2 stars. Beer is industrial - no local Soggy sweet potato fries Tough burger (but cheaper than McDonalds apparently) Would not/ could not turn down sound - again older people sitting in two groups. BUT - inexpensive so you get what you pay for. Not going back.

Wonderful staff and good food at a reasonable price. We visited mid-afternoon on a weekday, so it was not very busy. The woman who served us was very friendly and personable. Their spicy burger was lacking in spicy heat but was still messy and tasty.

My fiancé and I come here every time we re in town!! We always ask for Sydney as our server. She constantly provides personable, speedy service!

We went there at 11:30 and asked for just beer but staff there said that we are closed so can t serve beer even though there timing says 12pm as their closing time. Very disappointed with the behaviour of the staff. I am pretty sure they could have served us beer half hour before closing time. Please avoid this place and find someplace where they treat you right.

best Bang for you buck these days , with there specials it is actually cheaper to eat there than at home buying from the grocery stores, and $4 pints on game day , why not just go and enjoy it there with friends than at home.

We have been coming to this chucks location in Bracebridge for years. Always excellent food, service and cleanliness. It is a well managed restaurant.

First time at this location and the food was awful. Chicken was incredibly dry and gross tasting. The chicken wings tasted old and freezer burnt. Bathrooms were awful. Service was alright.

Im not one to review a place negatively but i have to today... my family and i walked in for dinner, we were a group of 15... we were asked to leave and wait outside in an abrupt and rude fashion by a heavy set woman, until our tables were ready... we werent even given the option to wait at the bar although it was empty and cold outside... ok we were a rather large group and at the time I thought she was maybe flustered and didnt mean to be rude... I gave her the benefit of the doubt and obliged... we waited 40 minutes or so and were seated... we ordered 4 apps, 15 meals and not sure how many beers and drinks... one of which was a steak dinner which came burnt and looked like it had fallen in the fire... when we made the woman aware of this she offered no apology or a fresh steak... she just stood there staring at me with a look of utter disgust and disbelief. She snarled, took the plate and stomped off towards the kitchen, like a 12 year old throwing a temper tantrum. ill never go back to another chucks roadhouse. That is how bad this womans customer service was. She was not our waitress which we were very happy with by the way and despite the kitchens short comings and the womans pitiful customer service our waitress got a 20% tip on a rather expensive bill... I didnt get the rude womans name but she was built like a line backer and is hard to miss compared to the rest of the staff... in todays climate with things being so expensive treating my family to a meal in a restaurant should be a good experience which this was not, she made everyone feel uncomfortable, even her own staff/ colleagues. The rest of the food was mediocre at best... Not in the slightest impressed by this woman which I think is the manager or owner, and Id recommend going elsewhere to spend your hard earned money. 0 stars...

Gonna be a bit of a long one .but it s our experience non the less. I m gonna start with our SECOND visit. We re chalking the first visit up to new opening pains. Giving it another chance That second chance was tonight. Was even worse than the first. Food came out cold (I had the quesadilla, husband had wings. Daughter had a salad, or I should say, didn t have a salad. It never showed up. (Not exactly true. It showed up AFTER hubby & I finished eating.) It was missing a very key ingredient (goat cheese) and arrived with the wrong dressing. Other people sat down after us, ate before us. Our food was clearly ready for some time and obviously sat waiting for delivery. Upon enquiring about the missing salad, server was checking on it . We then promptly watched her deliver drinks, take other orders THEN check on the salad. Which didn t come. I mentioned all of the above to the (who I presume was the manager) who did absolutely nothing to encourage us to return. (Such as comp the salad, free dessert anything) handed us our bill. We were on our way Manager btw, was NO WHERE to be seen on the floor helping his wait staff deliver food/drinks. Staff clearly hasn t tried the food themselves or any/some of the food on the menu. All enquires as to what was good or too spicy etc. were met with I haven t tried that yet . (You d think staff would at least be instructed to say all things were great!) Staff should DEFINITELY try most, if not all things on the menu IMO. To end things on a positive note. We started with the flatbread. It was delicious. Fresh, all ingredients accounted for :) drinks (the first one anyway) arrived promptly (no follow up of another beverage or enquiry as to if we even wanted one) and I have a couple of food allergies which the server/kitchen did accommodate successfully and willingly. Will we go back? Meh. Gravenhurst is lacking half decent restaurant choices. (You can only eat at BP so many times) We had high hopes for Chucks. The food is reasonably priced, has the potential to be good. I got the distinct impression the bottom line is more important than satisfied customers.

Went for our 30th wedding anniversary The 100+ cigarette butts at the curb in front of the entrance should have been an indication! We ordered burgers, fries, caesar salads and cocktails. The burger was cold, the bun was stale and the fries were undercooked and tasted like fish, which was probably due to dirty oil . The Caesar Salads were saturated in dressing and I spent most of the night in the washroom! The only plus was the beer was cold! Management please do not bother responding that you are sorry and request that I contact you directly. Nothing you can say will convince me to ever return. It wasn t just the food, clean your restaurant, it was filthy!!

We ordered food for takeout and I ve never spent so much money on such awful food in my life. The BBQ chicken was so dry no one could eat it at all, it was also coated in the worst, sickly sweet bbq sauce I ve ever had. We also got the buffalo chicken strips and they were also sickly sweet! buffalo sauce isn t actually supposed to be sweet at all barf. The chicken quesadilla was fine but totally unimpressive. Probably the best of the horrible things we ordered. I ve been to other Chuck s and they were fine, so clearly it s the kitchen staff at this one who have no idea how to make edible food. I definitely won t be returning.

This was our second visit to the newly opened chucks in gravenhurst. My tea came with a dirty cup that I didnt realize was dirty until after I poured the tea into it and my hubbys tea came cold. Let the waitress know this and she gave us an excuse of being by the door and that must be why the tea was cold. My response was that my tea was very hot, but my cup was very dirty. Out came a new tea for hubby and cup. But no new tea for me *shrugs* our food was next, hubbys came cold my sandwich was good but fries cold. When we let the waitress know her reply was that she would let them know to turn the line up? Hubby did not have to pay for his meal because he told the waitress he was done and did not want another meal.We had high hopes for this restaurant but will think twice about returning!

Ive been to Chucks all around Ontario and this place surprised me the most. Not sure why, but the fries were wayyyyy better than everywhere else. Went here twice in two days got the same thing, chicken sandwhich and fries. Both were crazy good. Service was great, the owner or manager guy there was very helpful. House made BBQ sauce paired wonderfully with the sandwich. Highly recommend. Thank you!!

Calimari was terrible. We returned the first one, and the second order was just as bad it was way over cooked and stunk of old fish. Waitress told us she had ate it 2 nights in a row. Surprisingly she was not sick.

I brought one of my dealers here for lunch today. Our server was great and the restaurant is clean and modern. The manager was very attentive and concerned about how we liked our food. My only complaint was that restaurant wasnt busy, yet my lunch soup arrived cold with a film on top of it. Ive eaten at Chucks in London and will eat here again. My only suggestion would be to make sure the food is hot when your server delivers it.

Went opening day so it s expected service wasn t the best. But overcharged for Bud Light and the salad was soggy. Seemed as if it had been premixed and sat all day

Washrooms had no paper towel to dry hands and hostess was made aware twice - ordered the spinach dip which was like cold soup! - waited an hour for our food - baked potatoes were cold - lobster tail and butter was cold - side of mushrooms were also cold - waitress didn t seem interested in making things right and just said she would mention to the owner! I am disappointed that she made zero attempt to make things right! We could have at least been offered a percentage off our bill or reversed the charges for the COLD baked potatoes and mushrooms we had ordered! I visit Chuck s all the time at home in Burlington and order for delivery and always receive food hot and fresh - worst experience ever at a Chuck s Roadhouse and next visit to Bracebridge will not include dinner at this establishment!

Wish they had option of giving 0 star. We just entered and the waitress told us they are closed for the night even though we reached there at 12:2 . We asked her if we can just have drinks she clearly said no. She was so rude . Even though the employees inside were having thier own party. Maybe these guys dont know how crucial are these reviews for thier business. Maybe i should have seen the reviews before going there and i would suggest owner to give thier workers some good customer service skill training . I have been to thier a lot of locations but never faced something like this.

Fish with sweat potato fries, added the Aoli sauce. I made a good choice.

Good food, drink and prices

We went on a Wed where they had the ribs deal, $15 for a full rack, $10 for 1/2 rack, and $15 for the wings and rib combo. My husband got the full rack and I got the combo. The wings were dusted, very crispy outside, and juicy on the inside, just the way I like it. The ribs were fall- of- the-bone good. All in all, a good experience.

Ceasar salad was soggy when it came with the dry bacon cheese burger! Very low light!

While the burgers &fries Were good, a bit dry, but compared to other places, good...2 for atmosphere due to the lack of cleanliness...you need to start from the outside and work your way in!...For me, this is what makes it a non-repeat...Really...spend some if the extra charges on a really good cleaning crew! The tables were very sticky , not wiped down, the food was tasteless. The same batter is used for everything. Steak was small, hamburger small, and greasy. Never again!

Order online, waited an hour, and when we got there they said an order never came through despite being charged and receiving confirmation. I think they just wanted to close the kitchen early. Disappointing.

Ive been here about 5 times now and every visit we have had to wait about 8 minutes before anyone came to buss us to our table(dining room was empty). The service is always slow and seems as though the waitress doesnt want to be there. As for the food, its pretty good, what you would expect. If you are in the area I suggest going to Huntsvilles location as it is 100% better, in service and food quality.

Second time here. Food is decent and the price is reasonable. In Huntsville Ontario Staff Are very inexperienced. All our orders came at the same time. The apps and the entrees . Nachos and ribs!!!! But watch out for the overcharges !!!!! They also add a 3% charge to total bill. The waitress became adamant that we questioned her about the overcharges. Mayo, salsa, sour cream were over charged!!!!! Never charged before. Server was argumentative and created a scene. I ll return but will ensure she doesn t serve us again. Sorry Chantal but you re attitude was unprofessional and pathetic!

We came here after a long day at Santa s village in Bracebridge. We had a large group and didn t call ahead , they were accommodating and great about it! Great food and great cost!

Great food.

This place is garbage.. we went there at 12:05 and they were closing at 1am. The hostess mentioned that they got no drinks and no food at this time. They were clearly doing their own party at that time and refusing all the dine in customers. GARBAGE

Service was slow. Ordered the kids food first and they got theirs fairly fast as for the adults we waited another half hour for ours to come. We werent offered refills on our drinks, took a few tries to get our waitress attention for a side of gravy and most of my food was gone before it came out

Another great Chucks restaurant! The best ribs I have had in a long time. Food and drinks are priced reasonably. My server Janet was exceptionally good. Very personable, intelligent, and a sense of humor, This is a large restaurant with lots of Tvs. For sports watching. I will return next time I am in the area.

The food is delicious, good services and accessible prices.

This is a decent chain restaurant and is open late when not much else is available. My pet peve is if youre not one of their locals, there very slow to look after you in the bar area. They are polite, but customer service is secondary to whatever else is going on for them. I find every time Ive been in other than once when there was a guy on the bar, the ladies are often not on the bar for a lot of time when its not busy.

Stopped for a quick lunch and a beer! Great philly cheese steak and a burger for my buddy! Slow service but we werent in a hurry. Good atmosphere, all in all a good experience.

I am very disappointed with this restaurant, it was with a table of 7 people for dinner and the waitress came to disappoint us because of the value of the tips, which had been low. tips its the first time Ive been to a restaurant and Ive only had an encounter with a waitress and she still says she doesnt serve us anymore and shes very rude and treats her badly very disappointed with this restaurant employees with a lack of training Missed 7 meals every day for 1 month No need for money

Ordered a soup got 1/2 a very small bowl sandwich not to bad my wide ad stack and fry frozen frys not very good canned corn not very good. Price was cheap but I dont mind paying a little more for better quality

The walls were unsealed wood and were covered in stains. Very disgusting to sit next to while eating a meal. And with it being unsealed wood, I dont see how it can be cleaned off, any spills are just going to soak into the wood. The menu doesnt have any healthy options. Service was okay but the food was mediocre. I wont be going back.

Overall fine experience. The cauliflower bites appetizer size looked like it was made for ants. Small bits and pieces and portion was smaller than an app size. Steak was cooked how I asked. Service was ok for how short staffed they were.

I ve been to five Chuck s roadhouse locations and have been happy with each of them. This was by far the worst in terms of service and food. Unfortunately, there aren t many options in Bracebridge out of season. I sent you an email to the address you provided and have still not received a response

Coffee was bad. Cesar salad was lacking that dressing flavor (not sure what type of dressing it was, but it wasnt good). Husband said his order of ribs and wings was good.

Im honestly so pleased. Kayla right off the top directed us away from a party, they moved, she offered to move us. She understood that people are here for time with their people, not to tolerate others. Prices are great! My hometown just got a chucks this week, so looking forward to supporting this business if customer comfort is put high on the list as it is here.

Went there with my wife, all the servers walked by us for 15 min, finally ordered a drink and we saw the bartender walk by our chit in the machine at least 5 times, but continued to take new orders from the guys at the bar, our takeout finally came but our server forgot to punch in half of our order, terrible first impression won t be going again.

Absolutely worst food ever everything comes in a box frozen dont go there for the food even the beer I had was flat had fish and chips,ribs and chicken wings,cant believe that cost me $60, so so bad,dont go save ya moneys,waitress was Absolutely delightful lol she even said how bad food is and was embarrassed,I gave her $10 tip.
