41101 Government Rd, Brackendale, BC V0N 1H0, Canada
Chill bar & restaurant with Canadian eats, TV sports & weekend breakfast, plus a riverfront patio.
Managed to grab a table on a cold and rainy evening, and was not disappointed. Even at night with the storm, you could see the river and it was gorgeous. The tomato soup really hits home, and makes you nice and warm inside. Had blankets on the chairs, and the heater above. Overall a great experience!
We visited a small restaurant that offered beautiful views of the river and mountains. We ordered Thai green curry, chicken parmesan, fish and chips, and poutine. Everything we tried was excellent and delicious. Most importantly, the waitresses were very engaging and attentive, ensuring we were well taken care of. Anyone visiting Whistler should check out this hidden gem.
Awesome location overseeing the river while you might be lucky to see eagles fishing. It has a very cool vibe and warm atmosphere with friendly staff. The food though was just okay and overpriced.
The unique location makes this a special place. Overseeing the valley and river observing the eagles fishing. Back to the food. The food was underwealming, if not worse. It may be our choices we made, but the quality was low bar food. The service was good and friendly. But the location is the best.
Great spot to stop for lunch on the Squamish river. For those of you who watch the TV show Virgin River, this is Jack’s bar. The food was surprisingly good. The service was great, and the views from the deck were just beautiful.
The most stunning views while eating I’ve ever experienced. The service was warm and welcoming and friendly. The food was amazingly delicious, beautifully plated, and reasonably priced! We ordered the fish and chips, seared ahi, and poutine. We both loved every bite! I was actually really impressed with the salad that came with the ahi as it was not lettuce-heavy, had a good ratio of a lot of ingredients, and was perfectly dressed. We sat outside and the vibe was really relaxing and enjoyable. For the next few days of our time in B.C. we kept talking about this restaurant and how we wished we could go back. It was the food highlight of our trip, by far! My only “complaint” is that there wasn’t great parking but we just parked down the road a little and walked along the trail along the river and it was so beautiful we were actually really happy we were able to do that!
Beautiful riverside location, the food was spot on, can recommend the river burger! Quite busy but only had to wait 10 minutes for a table, we went for a walk and they texted when our table was ready. Kids enjoyed their food as well. Definitely worth an hour of your time for a spot of lunch.
We stopped by this place after our mountain hike. The view is stunning, definitely worth 5 stars. However, the cleanliness of the establishment was disappointing. The interior could use some refreshing to match the prices. The waiters were friendly and welcoming
Im from Argentina, I come here to Jack Virgin Rivers bar, I hope I can meet him.
The food was delicious and the service was fast and efficient.
Fine food. Beautiful view of the river.
What a gem. Service could not be faulted, food was great, good wine. Will definitely be back!!
Good food & services
Everything about the Watershed was perfect! From the time we walked in the door, the warm welcome from the friendly staff ,the excellent food and needless to say, the view was just amazing!! We were visiting from Ontario and stopped in on our way back to Vancouver from a day trip to Whistler . Have to say, it also made me feel like I was in Virgin River eating at Jacks Bar ....Would definitely recommend the Watershed for A class friendly service and absolutely delicious food!!
Experience the fun local Squamish atmosphere and enjoy excellent food and service. Great place to enjoy the local flavour. Food
Food great service was awesome people around us were chill and nice.
Great food. Awesome views . Good gluten free options
Poor quality burger overpriced not best as they claim.
Beautiful view, but mediocre diner food. Not a good value.
How nice!! Jacks bar! From Virgin River!! I would love to meet him!!
Wicked spot for a bite to eat food comes quick and servers are great. This is my 3rd time here, every time I visit the area I drop in! River burger is great choice and the Roasted tomato soup is extremely good! Food : 5/5 |
This is really a lovely place to eat. I love the atmosphere.
We definitely enjoyed our late lunch at the watershed. Good food, beautiful scenery, friendly staff. Dietary restrictions: The offered gluten free buns.
Classic spot right on the river and we caught sunset!
Great customer service and food.
You have to visit here if you are in Squamish. Beautiful location, great atmosphere, nice staff and good food.
Stupid good, but Ryan needs a haircut and his NFL fantasy teams are always horrible. Fantastic staff. Do it.
Great local hangout. Good pub food. Great hiking area too! Eagles, salmon running, seals, etc.
Food was good and service was awesome
Service was Great very friendly Location was beautiful.
Excellent place, delicious food, and TOP service! Its Jacks bar in the Virgin River series! Its worth visiting and being a customer
Delicious food, fantastic service and overall great vibe! Rachelle and Maddie are the best! Watershed Grill is a must if you are in the Squamish area
A must stop when going up to Whistler
My wife and I were in Vancouver for a few days, mid November. Talking to a local bartender, we said we might drive up to Squamish for lunch the next day. He immediately said we must stop at the Watershed Grill. Doesn t look like much from outside, but we were so happy we stopped there. We sat in the back, cozied up and enjoyed the fantastic view. Bald Eagles, harbour seals, beautiful sea ducks and even a Golden Eagle. I had the Root Vegetables in a Cajun rub, my wife had a crispy chicken sandwich. Fantastic. Stephanie made us feel welcome, the staff was great. If you re looking for a fancy, this isn t it. Just next level food, with a great view. Cheers!
Its a fantastic place. It was our second visit and it was wonderful to sit by the windows and eagle watch. Too bad we live a two hour drive away because wed be there more often.
The food was okay: good for a quick bite.
Very good food & service and incredible ambiance & setting as it is located right on the banks of a river. We were tired from the hikes and full day on the road. My son picked on this restaurant on last day of our trip and so glad he happened to come across this restaurant as it was the perfect farewell dinner in one of our favorite parts of the world.
Wow. You know, Squamish area has some great restaurants and this is one of them. Tomato soup was really nice especially with the great bread. The crab cakes where really great as well. Service was perfect.
Cozy atmosphere, nice service, excellent food, nice view.
Friendly! Tomatoes soup served wasnt hot but ingredients were high quality
Excellent, good place, good food, nice treatment and spectacular views.
Great place. I love the atmosphere. Down to earth staff deserving of massive tips.
So good! Perfect stop on the way from Vancouver to whistler. Food was excellent, service was amazing, and the views were great!
Food is really good and it s a nice spot with a view of the river. They have some local beer options too! There s just flies that bug you a little bit while you eat.
Enjoyed an excellent lunch. Roasted tomato soup with garlic bread and tacos with a delicious filling of vegetables and fried fish.
I sometimes think visitors see good reviews and come to the watershed expecting more. In another setting the watershed would be a dive bar. The food is good for what it is (generic pub fair), the beers are cold, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere and setting a good.
I absolutely loved this place. They are fun, kind and welcoming. We ordered a fried tomato soup, prawns and a Brie stuffed pastry... It was soooo tasty and soooo generous despite being unexpensive ! I definitively recommand you this gem. Food
Great spot. Delicious food.
Great food and service but it would be way better if they got the black fly problem under control so you could just eat in peace.
To The Watershed Grill, don t ever change! WE LOVE THIS PLACE! 6 stars if I could! The absolute only place in Squamish we eat at. Some background, our first visit to The Watershed Grill was two years ago. My wife said we had to go because it was used as a filming location for one of her favourite shows. However, the food, the staff, the vibe was so d@mn good, we went back the very next night! We love everything. River Burger, Chicken & Brie Burger, Grizzly Burger, Poutine, Chicken Wings (try the Shed Rub ones), Baked Brie! Wow! And let s not forget The Shed Caesar and the Beer-Garita! Fast forward to now and we have just spent three out of five nights in Squamish and we ate at the Watershed for all three of those nights. Absolutely nothing has changed about the restaurant. Our servers, Zoe, Chase and Andrea were all awesome. They each treated us like we were coming home, not to a restaurant. The third night we were there it was a very busy Sunday night of the Thanksgiving weekend and there was actually a hostess on duty. She was the exact same way, so genuinely pleasant. That evening we had said we would sit on the patio, and at one point the lady who we figured was the manager, asked my wife if she was too cold and would she like a blanket to put over her legs! Awesome! During our meal both Zoe and Chase, our servers from each of our first two visits, stopped by and asked how our trip over to the Island was. And after we were finished our meals and were getting ready to leave they both came by to wish us a safe trip home! See, like Family! We have no idea if there are better places to eat in Squamish and we don t care. This place, the atmosphere, the staff, the food, the location, we absolutely love it. We re sad now because we have to wait for another year or two before we can get back there. Hope to see you all soon! To The Watershed Grill, don t ever change!
I told the waiter that my dad was allergic to egg. She did give the veggie burger with the rye bread and the fries. Inspite of that, my dad had an allergic reaction. His stomach was paining for 8 hrs and was in severe discomfort. Food was good but the service was terrible. Not coming here again. My father was close to being hospitalized.
Amazing food, one of the best views ever, a lot of pets were there which I loved. Food does take a little while to come to the table, but its worth the wait. Id take an ample amount of time to visit the place, take in the view and the food. Baked brie- was okay, nothing too great. Chicken Burge- was amazing, add jalapenos and some garlic mayo to it for the extra kick. Falafel wrap was good as well .
Great salmon and river burgers! Service is very friendly. You can watch NFL too.
Brilliant
Best view in squamish, love the atmosphere and food. Amazing staff!
In a nice, very very pretty area with the most beautiful view mountain
The Brie, the crab cakes and the prawns, were the only good things on this menu! All the other food is not good and definitely not worth the price.
Wild mushroom pasta dish was phenomenal :)
Really good food and customer service. Orders for a group of eight came quickly and at the same time. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Burger
Great food and service!!
This is where Virgin River setting set for the series on Netflix which is in season 6 of getting ready to film season 7 wonderful place to eat love the people there it was so beautiful being there and also enjoying the food was amazing
We had a great lunch this weekend. Food was good and the servers were fun to chat with.
Tiny snafu while seating us, but Stephanie and Ellie went above and beyond to make our dining experience stellar. Staff superb, food very good and of course, the view. Its a do not miss place.
A fantastic location for an evening meal, food was great and so were the staff. Will definitely go back. Parking: Can be difficult when its busy.
I went here twice within the past couple of weeks. The first time service was on point, we had a very attentive server, but last night service was lacking (needed a water refill for nearly the entire time, before food even arrived, our server did not come to check on us until after we were done eating...). They were super busy last night, but still... Views were spectacular, as was the food! Some of the best fish & chips Ive ever had. Also really enjoyed the poutine...and the tofu! Yum! Overall, would definitely recommend. Vegetarian options: Tofu options & veggie burger! Parking: Parking is tricky here, but you can buy something at the local food stand across the way & stay parked there.
Excellent, friendly service and food quality was top notch. They could have totally used their locations fame and cashed in on that, but clearly they didnt!
Great we stopped by on our way from Whistler!
Dont miss this place if you are a fan of Virgin River on Netflix! This is Jacks Bar! Burgers were good and the view is wonderful!
Without Virgin River you would not venture here. A shame though. Food including burger and fish and chips were really good. Super friendly and accommodating. Of course the view is spectacular. Highly recommended. Parking: Has a 5 car lot. Store across the street is an option but you need to spend $20 with them. Just go a bit beyond the place and you will find parking with a brief stroll along the river
Not sure where the 4.5 stars coming from. Food nothing special average maybe. Parking is not great Really cheap. I would not recommend. Plastic flimsy chairs, and price tags are high. After not giving a tip I was questioned. Wow
A little run down, but good food, and great service. Definitely worth a visit.
Mostly fried cheap foods. The cocktails are made pretty weak. Certainly not with the price for food or beergaritas. Happy hour deal is alright though.
Excellent ! The salmon burger was fantastic !!! The waiters were so sympathical ! And the dessert fabulous ! The view on the river is beautiful i really recommand this place !!!
Good food, great service, pretty girls, nice vibe and beautiful location.
It was okay, Chicken was a little pink in the chicken & brie sandwich. The view is great when the weathers good - youre paying for the view instead of the food. The chicken wings were mid.
As many others have said. I brought my wife here on our travels for her 40th bday. Stopped in for lunch and waited. Only words exchanged were gave a seat and have a good one as we left. This was at 2:30 on a Monday. Place was not busy. Watched money collection and service to others.
Jacks Bar in the series Virgen River!
Lovely lunch, try the tomato soup for sure, you can switch out instead of fries with a burger! Fantastic views of the lake. Awesome staff.
Burger great. Salad great. Waitress was amazing super friendly
Perfect dinner. The service was friendly, the salmon burger and the river burger were incredible. The cinnamon donuts for dessert to share ended the meal with a pleasant sweet touch. However, it is better to share them between two people! Authentic and pleasant restaurant along the river.
Really good food if you re around.
The street side entrance is a disaster. After you pass the green garbage can and go up the stairs the view is amazing. The actual building is nothing like Virgin River so yes, disappointed. Service was nice, food mediocre. Goes to show that some things are not as they seem. Food
Ellie is one server whose taste you can trust. Her service is stellar, and her smile is as bright as her eyes and demeanor. Bring your tipping wallet. Shell make ya forget the price of food and drink, and your tummy and heart will thank you. That Salmon Burger and Creamy Tomato were outta this world, worth every penny and more. The Beef Patty was superb. I feel like sleep is going to be soon and perfect. Kid-friendliness: There was a fella whod brought his young son all the way from Ontario, twas his birthday, the entire restaurant sang to him and Ellie spelled out Happy birthday in chocolate sauce on his cake plate. Best dinner out in a long time....I know the kiddo thought so too.
Great food and very reasonable good value. I would say it is a hidden treasure and has gotten popular for a very good reason. No hesitation in recommending it. I will be back for sure Parking: Very close by lots of parking Kid-friendliness: Can sit outside Wheelchair accessibility: Yes if sitting outside
Great food, friendly staff, stunning location. I would go again
Good place
Amazing view, great service and food! We shared fries, tofu and a salad all of those were tasty and we were lucky to have a table right outside on the terrace with a view on the water. Definitely recommend!
Best view in Squamish
Rustic pub. Great food and nice to have a dog friendly patio. Really enjoyed it and the prices were reasonable.
Love this place! I drive 2 hours just for their tomato soup
1 hour+ wait for food, which was very average. Tip to management: Dont expect a tiny kitchen with 2 chefs to serve a packed restaurant, leading to disgruntled customers and your staffs tips being affected. Service from Jono was great!
Ive been wanting to visit the Watershed Grill for years, but it s always been busy. Yesterday, I finally got seated at an amazing table with an incredible view. Maybe the reason its so hard to get a seat here is that it takes two hours to get your meal! The server was nice and attentive, but the food was just average. Overall, the view and atmosphere were the highlights, but the long wait and average food were a bit of a letdown.
The view is stunning. However, the cleanliness and service of the establishment were disappointing! Really slow service. Could be renovated to match the prices. There are lots of good reviews here but we definitely dont understand why!
Very friendly staff
Fabulous place for a bite on the bank!
OK, so some of the furnishing are worn, there is debris from trees on the plastic awning, the menu is colorful and not chic in design. This is missing the point. This establishment has awesome atmosphere. How could it not, being built of weathered timber and perched on the bank of a wild river with a backdrop of mountains. More importantly, the service was cheerful, warm and personal. My familys diverse order included crab cakes, a salad of mixed greens, Thai red curry and a homemade chicken pot pie. All were very good to excellent. The shrimp and assorted veggies in the Thai curry were all cooked perfectly and the flavorful and spicy curry was perfumed with fresh Thai basil. The rice was on point. This was prepared with more care for its ingredients than any I have had in the California Bay are in years. Best meal so far on are B.C. vacation.
Great service and delicious hamburger!!
Waiting 10 minutes in front of the wait to be seated sign , 4 waiters passed and didn t say a word, no sorry for the wait , no i ll be with you in a sec . A waitress then finally had pity on us, first thing she says is that ll be a wait of 35 minutes . At least 5 tables were free. We then left, we saw enough of their service.
Really great good. We had the fish & ship and the thaï curry bowl with salmon and it was soooo delicious. A bit noisy inside tho. Great views!
Great food great staff great scenery
Good food and had good service other times (but not tonight). Charging a 18% service fee automaticaly for a group of 7 and a bad service...Missing plates (never ended up coming) or waaay too late, plates not ordered coming in and having to redo bills one by one because at least 3-4 were wrong.
Good food but tricky menu where basic items like carrot on a wing plate is $3 extra. Also the tip options on the machine is too high.
It was really packed and full of people for dinner, came here for the view but didn t get to sit at the patio :( Ordered crab cakes & river (beef) burger with Cesar salad on the side, and Red sangria (which is not good at all ) Waited about 15 mins to be seated in the restaurant, and waited 30 mins to get the food ordered, after we ordered the food, waited 45 mins to get to food on the table! We weren t super hungry before going there (lucky!) otherwise I think would be supppper Hangry The food were okay, a bit too oily and greasy (I mean, pub food can t expect too much )
Friendly staff. Super delicious food with stunning view.
Terrible service. The staff promised an estimated wait time for 20 mins. It turned out to be 2 hours. We were still very polite but the staff were extremely discourteous.
Unfortunately didnt get to try the food. Waited 50 minutes for our food and nothing. We asked 40 mins in and that is when we were told they only had 2 chefs and they had a back log. Would have been nice to know when we sat down. Good place to have some water on a hot day and enjoy the view though.
Fun to visit to iconic location . Virgin River . Not disappointed by the food. Great experience.
The service was extremely slow. Even after waiting 30 minutes outside to get a table, the server failed to inform us that the food would take more than an hour to prepare. We waited for an hour before we had to ask about our order. None of the staff bothered to notify us about the delay. Additionally, on a hot day like this, it was uncomfortable and suffocating to wait inside for so long. On a positive note, the beef burger was good, as was the crab cake, but the chicken was subpar.
Good views and good food. But it took an hour (literally an ACTUAL WHOLE HOUR) from when we ordered and when the food arrived. I donth think our experience was unique. The table next to us brought playing cards to play while waiting for their food. Also had problems finding parking, getting the actual items ordered and not enough bathrooms for the number of customers.
Great food, cool location, but wow is everything unorganized and slow. I can t even bring myself to detail all the various disappointments on the service side, and the servers are super nice and seem to be trying, but I think they have a flawed system that is leading to chaos. If you have 3 hours for a meal, go for it. If you have any sort of schedule at all, go elsewhere. Again, great food and really nice servers.
Arrived late in the evening on the weekend, and was seated promptly. The main disappointment was the hour wait for the food. The restaurant is all open air so bring bug repellent as the mosquitoes will also be hanging around with you. The River burger was very good, although the yam fries I had paid extra for were not hot and fresh. The servers were very friendly.
Great burger. Fantastic staff. Excellent motorcycle parking. Food : 5/5
Friendly, efficient staff made the wait very minimal on a busy Friday afternoon in the summer on a long weekend. This place has beautiful views and delicious chicken pot pie! Finding parking was a bit tough.
This is Jacks Bar from Virgin River. It does not match interior scenes from the series. The exterior does match the series. We were served by Stephanie, service was better than excellent! She found a Bald Eagle hiding on an island in the middle of the river for us. The food would put Preacher to shame it was that good and the owner, I assume, has chocolate Lab he claims is 75 lbs of love and affection. If youre in Victoria, the trip to Brackendale for a Grizzly Burger is well worth the time, and you get to eat at Virgin Rivers Jacks Bar!
The new cocktail bartender makes one hell of a margarita
I would not call this place dog friendly. They have maybe 4 tables out of many that will take dogs. All the other patio tables do not accept dogs. Maybe they would ve gotten more than one star if we could have actually eaten there
We ate too much because we didn t want the deliciousness to end. So unbelievably good!! Had the pulled pork tacos, tomato soup (I will be dreaming about this for the rest of my life - please sell me the recipe so I can make it at home in Alberta) and my husband had the mushroom linguine with prawns and mussels! The bread you get with the mussels and soup is 10/10 Pub vibe with fine dining food we can t wait to come back! Kid-friendliness: Saw lots of kids! They have kid sized options.
We waited 25 minutes for a table, which wasnt too bad, but the real issue was the temperature inside the restaurant it felt like it was over 31 degrees. We waited over an ho ur for our food, and when it finally arrived, the orders were incorrect. The burgers were overcooked, and the mushrooms were dry. The only positive aspect was the view, which could be lovely in good weather. However, I wouldnt recommend visiting during the summer for lunch.
In a word, awful experience. The location is the only nice feature of this place but the rest is just terrible. Our table was by the kitchen and as a result was crazy hot. We asked several times if other tables were free but everytime were given an unclear response even though there were multiple empty tables around us. The service is terribly slow, we waited 1 hour for our burger! Not even a fine dining meal, just a burger! And when it arrived it was cold, and burnt. One of our orders was a brie burger and the expectation was to have the burger covered in brie, like everywhere else but we were given a burger with a thin strip of brie; utterly shameful. Overall, avoid if you can.
Had breakfast at the Watershed Grill. Overall the food was good and the service was great. The most important part is the view you get to see while eating right next to the river and the mountains.
Just had drinks. It went here because the filming of a TV show from Netflix
A very nice place to come hangout near the river after a long day in Squamish :) if you order their special Caesar, you can skip the meal
Found this gem in Squamish along the river , from the time we sat down the waitress came by and described the menu , by the way she was brilliant , the drinks and food were absolutely delicious if your in Squamish highly recommended fir the food and views
Nice view, tasty food. What else do you need?
Absolutely gorgeous. Good people everything is amazing.
Amazing food, amazing survive, best view
Great food, great service and phenomenal view
Superb customer service, excellent food quality and variety. this stop for sure is pinned to my map for whatever reason I travel through sea to sky highway. Parking: About 7 parking spots at the front and a small free parking lot across the street.
Exceptional food and service!
This restaurant was exactly what I was looking for on my first night in Squamish! Down near the water, with a fresh fish market kind of vibe. The service was VERY GOOD. The place was absolutely packed, and the servers and kitchen were running their butts off. It was like watching a well oiled machine! And despite being slammed, they were so PLEASANT! I was craving sea food, and the CREOLE SHRIMP was just what the doctor ordered. I had a small Caesar salad on the side, and it was just the right amount of food. Loved the fishermans warf atmosphere! Highly recommend, and I will most definitely be back!
epic views and vibe. staff is fun and on top of it. parking is a bit tough but worth it!
Had to stop for pictures. Great food.
Heres a nice review for a restaurant: I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Watershed! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a beautifully designed interior and a lovely outdoor seating area. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our every need was met. But the real star of the show was the food - oh, the food! Every dish we tried was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The chefs attention to detail and commitment to using only the freshest ingredients was evident in every bite.
It was excellent experience. Our first. Service so fast, staff friendly and efficient. Foods were amazing and served in almost in an instant. We will definitely be backed and enjoy the amazing experience. Special mention for Amber.
Not just a filming location for Virgin River! Great food and wonderful service as well. Beautiful setting along the river. Don t miss out!
I love this place. Its right on the river with mountain and glacier views, always eat outside. Very friendly knowledgeable service. Cool local and visiting crowd. All the food is fantastic- hearty, healthy and well presented.
Wife wanted to come here because it s in a TV show. Good was really good! Would go back!
Its hard to describe the anxiety that comes with eating at restaurants with friends when you have a dietary restriction. We went here after camping so I did not have time to call ahead like I normally do, to find out about gluten free options and cross contamination. The server was non-judgmental and took my questions seriously, double-checking with the kitchen to be absolutely sure. He made it feel like it was no problem for him to check. I felt welcome and had a delicious and spicy curry. Positive experiences like this seem small but make a world of difference to a nervous celiac like myself. Ill definitely eat here again! Thanks Watershed for the kind service. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Super fun pub off the n Beaten path! Great view and out of this world Caesars!! Food
Always a positive experience coming here; the food, the service, and the vibes are always top notch! Whether it s coming here after an outdoor adventure to refuel or to catch up with friends, this place is a great one stop shop! Highly recommend coming here. Usually get the Fish and Chips but unfortunately this visit they didn t have any so we shared the River Burger and upgraded to Poutine! Very good
Beautiful outdoor, average bar food. Staff was very nice and accommodating
Best patio view in the province.
We were trying to find a new place to eat in squamish and this place came up on google maps! Seeing it was right by the river we had to check it out. OMG! The view was literally breathtaking. The mountains, the river! The most amazing place to eat dinner. The food was good and the portions were huge! My partner and I ordered 2 mains and an appie and it was way too much food. The Cobb Salad was amazing. The falafel wrap was something different and good but not to die for. The baked brie was delicious but its hard to go wrong with cheese wrapped in pastry. Staff was friendly and helpful but seemed very busy. The food was very good but they had ran out of certain items as we were eating late on a busy weekend night.
Cute and quaint location.
Lovely place.
Excellent food and great service. Loved it
We went because my wife loves VR. Service was very friendly and low pressure, despite lots of people waiting for tables. Worth the wait to get an outdoor table facing the river. Food was decent, beer was good. Leave time for a walk along the river after dinner
Good food, beautiful view and a awesome atmosphere
Portion is decent. Burger was alright for the price but the wait was too long. Waited for the table for 40 mins and 35 mins wait for the burger after ordering. A good place to kill time with a bunch of friends. But if you are hungry? Avoid this place and go get something quick if you can t wait!
Our family favourite spot in Squamish. Famous burgers and Parmesan chicken are great.
The food and location is very good but the service is very slow.
Overworked kitchen serving uninspiring food highlited by WILD mushroom pasta consisting of basic white mushrooms and not a grain of salt. Friendly staff and nice views though.
Loved it! Great service, food, views.
Fantastic service, great environment on a warm day, food was very tasty and lots of it (we took a box home!) our server even gave us home-made jam that was really great!
We grabbed dinner and a beer after hiking in Garibaldi. The Watershed Grill is an amazing place. Service was a bit of a mess but who cares when youve got the view and the vibes?
Its going down hill. Was sick for two days after eating here. Pretty sure that was my last.
This place is bustling with energy! Situated by beautiful Squamish river, you never get bored of the view, sitting by window. Food was good and came in such big portion I could not finish even half. They had really good drink menu, especially very wide range of beer selection both local and non local.
They took away happy hour :( Happy hr started last summer, as a local with costs increasing everywhere in Squamish I always looked forward to hanging out here. Unfortunately with the higher menu prices and the happy hr deals non existent I will not be able to frequent here like I used too. :( Sadly, tourism wins again. Edit: they brought happy hr back M-F
Great place and food!!! Thanks for the great service at the bar and can t wait to get back again!!
Decent beer selection and nice staff. Gets hectic on sunny days. Would go again
We came here in Saturday lunchtime, they told us to wait 20 ish minutes, which is fine. After they called us and we ordered food it took 50 minutes of waiting for food. I think they need better management and cleaner space. Food was okay. Atmosphere is great
Make sure you have enough time to wait for food! We came here on the way to eat something and chill for an hour. It had been an hour we haven t received one item on our table. To make it understandable our orders were just 3 burgers. We are really disappointed despite the view it wasn t worth delaying our trip. Had to take everything to go!
Extremely disappointed, we didn t get the food already 45 mins. They served other tables which came after us !
We waited 50 minutes for a burger!!!! After 50 minutes we decided to take everything to go, not waste more time there.
Netflix Virgin River lead us here. The scenery is amazing, the River burger, Grizzly burger and fries were delicious and the staff were top notch. We got there about 4:30 pm just before the supper rush and got the perfect place to sit
Great food and beautiful views
The Watershed Grill is in an objectively beautiful location, right along the Squamish River. Unfortunately, our experience there last night was less than stellar. On a Monday night, we waited more than an hour from the time we placed our food for it to arrive at our table (for the five of us). When our food finally did arrive, half of our orders weren t correct. While I appreciated how hard the staff were working, it just felt like the restaurant was either way understaffed or wildly disorganized. I think if you re looking for a great outdoor place to grab a drink, the Watershed Grill could be awesome. But, based on our experience, I can t imagine coming here for food again.
Stopped in for a pint or 2 while out for a walk on a hot day. As a solo dinner, I took a seat at the bar while waiting for a table outside. Bartender service was quick...I was the only customer at the bar. Got moved to a table outside. My server was great and prompt. Another server offer the adjacent table to move the umbrella to offer them shade even though it was obvious that I was needing the umbrella. Had to call her out on this. I get that this is more of a couple/ family restaurant. Please consider the patronage of the solo dinners. The food was tasty. Nice atmosphere and vibe. The male host Carter was very polite and accommodated my request for an outdoor table. Great job Carter.
Awesome place, wonderful people, and stupid good food! Had curry, poutine, a burger, and a salmon burger, everything was absolutely awesome.
Love this place, food is so good, rotating tap with fresh pints, and cant beat the views.
Lots of free space inside but these people asked us to wait 30 mins for 6 people. After 30 mins she seated us at two tables, each with 3. She refused adding extension while she later added for others. Disappointed with the girl responsible for table planning but the food was not bad I guess.
Excellent food! Stephanie took excellent care of us! Virgin river fans! Took my wife here because she is a huge fan of the show!
Excellent place, beautiful landscapes, one can eat very calmly and admire nature.
Great food and views!
The meal was delicious and the service exceptional as well as the view! Wow!
