Welcome to Fergie's Cafe! An award-winning restaurant known for its fresh, locally-sourced brunch and beautiful forest setting.
Awesome little gem in the forest!! A group of 8 of us were accommodated without a reservation! We dined in on a Saturday afternoon and sat at generous size picnic table in a unique glass enclosed heated room surrounded by the forest. The food was all homemade/artisan style and AMAZING!! We all enjoyed every moment of our time there and HIGHLY recommend this place to all 👍👍
We recently had the pleasure of an unforgettable evening with Fergie’s After Five in-home chef catering service, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. With friends visiting from out of town to celebrate our newborn daughter, we wanted a memorable culinary experience, and chef Nick delivered beyond measure! The menu was a masterpiece—each dish was unique, local, and bursting with flavors. The Vegetarian Grazing Board set the stage perfectly for cocktail hour, offering an amazing variety of flavors and textures. The Oyster Mushroom Tempura with black garlic caramel, gochujang sesame crema, and kimchi was a hit, with layers of umami and freshness. The Pine Mushroom dish with rice Koji congee and black truffle hollandaise was simply exquisite, balancing earthy tones and rich flavors. The Smoked Potato Fritter with tomato jam, cashew cream, and roasted squash hummus was a delightful surprise—every element in perfect harmony. We enjoyed crafting our own cocktails, but they also offered a bartending service and optional wine pairings. To finish, the Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème was a dream, complemented by rhubarb jam and hazelnut olive oil cake. Each dish felt thoughtfully crafted and beautifully plated, showcasing incredible ingredients. Chef Nick was able to create an unbelievable culinary experience and tailored to the dietary preferences of our guests (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free) and left our kitchen even cleaner than he found it! If you’re looking for an in-home chef experience that is both intimate and exceptional, this service is a must-try. We can’t wait to do it again!
We had to wait for 40 minutes before we could get a table and then the food took another 30-40 minutes to reach our table, so we kinda lost our appetite before the food could even make it to our table. Food was good though, at least most of it. They have a limited menu and prices are not cheap which makes sense due to them being isolated. You go here for the location tbh. Decent experience overall.
We went on a long weekend Friday, and luckily it was not too busy. Really nice food and friendly service. We had a pet with us, so we’re sat at the outdoor area which was really nice🌳🐶 I revisited this place multiple times, and they never disappoint me!
Good vibe and beautiful nature. Me and my date went to Squamish only to try this cafe. We had to order a vegetarian burger for lunch because there was not a beef burger option. We were looking for more main dishes food for lunch, but the menu had more breakfast items. It was a tasty sandwich made with mushrooms. There is a beautiful trail that goes to the river, and another one goes by the train track. Very good spots for photography.
I liked the vibe, long wait time, washroom wasn’t really luxe and clean, but you can spend the time next to the river which is really good for couples, close friends. Good place for dating. Food was fresh but they didnt ask how I like to have the egg & was not able to eat. The food was not my favourite the meat was sweet but liked the mocha drink.
This was my second visit to this cafe. The first time, I wasn't impressed, so I didn't have high expectations. However, this time the food was amazing! Everything was great, except for one issue: we ordered the same drink twice, but the second one was about 15-20% less than the first. I'm not sure why that happened. If the drinks were consistent, I would give 5 stars for sure. I will definitely come back again and order the same thing I had today. The BBQ dish was amazing! 👍
Almost 45 minutes drive from Vancouver in no traffic day, ambiance is good, a outdoor space for spending time when you are waiting for seats! We waited 45 minute for two people, and the reason was not there were no spaces, they cannot handle many people at the same time. Dishes are okay but not wowed! No welcoming feelings and engaging from the staff. So, if you are around this is definitely worth for considering to going, but if you want to drive from Vancouver or north shore just having brunch there, not recommended.
Delightful cafe to dine in after a day on the river! Excellent food, service, and atmosphere.
Gem in the woodland
He I used to be a big fan of Fergie s Café and visited around 5 6 times. My first and second experiences were absolutely unforgettable. However, during my recent visits, I ve noticed some changes that are a bit disappointing. The portions have become noticeably smaller, and the taste of the food isn t the same as it used to be. When I asked one of the waiters about the lower quality of the meals, I was told that the management team had changed. That said, the atmosphere and service are still excellent, but the taste and portion sizes just don t match the high standard I remember.
Great place to have a nice late breakfast in the woods.
Waiting time is too long they should include more tables!
I ordered the French toast with blue berries. It was THE BEST French toast I have ever eaten in my entire life! Atmosphere was great. Most of the staff were great except our server was a bit snobbish. He didnt seem to enjoy serving people. Maybe he was having a bad day.
3.5 stars - Great location out by the river bend and the food/service was great. But I would consider it still a but off the beaten path, but once you arrive youll be delightfully surprised. (From August 2024)
Been here a few times. Service and wait times have gotten worse each time. Their system to seat people is extremely inefficient despite a lot of available seating. We ve come by on a weekday before noon with the same results.
Food was delicious, but the portions was quite small. No welcoming feelings and engaging from the staff. Price is evil for the portions The server holds the part that touches the mouth of an empty water cup in its hand and hands it over. I waited a long time to enter on a very chilly day, They served us too cold water, When I asked for warm water instead of cold water, they charged me a $ for small cup of tap water. REMEMBER!! THEY CHARGE FOR WARM TAP WATER. lol
Great experience! The dishes were prepared perfectly. Everything was perfect!! Well done
I shouldve visited earlier than I did! This is phenomenal place to have brunch with your lover, family or friends! Food, atmosphere and service are way beyond! Food : 5/5
Food pretty savory, good flavor and good price what what your get. Super busy place, service a bit slow but overall good experience
Vegetarian options: Good balance of vegetarian and vegan options, not just one begrudgingly given option Food
What a beautiful location! It feels like a retreat. We had our dog and they welcomed us and we got to sit outside and eat while we enjoyed the food and scenery. Our server was so kind and nice, he suggested different dishes & even places to visit around Squamish. It was a really good experience and the food was just amazing!! I got a vegan sour dough with mushrooms and it was sooo good I never thought bread could taste that good. You can tell the menu is very thought out and although it is pricier than other places in the area, I am so impressed and totally recommend this restaurant- it is so calming and has such great food and energy. Only thing to note is that sometimes there s a little bit of a wait so if you re in a rush this may not be the best option - I Will be back :)
Amazing spot, loved it. The location is awesome, staff is very friendly and food is delicious. Also they have options for different dietary restrictions. A perfect place! Food : 5/5
Absolutely delicious breakfast!! Had the asado bbq dish with eggs and hollandaise - mouthwatering. Also had the breakfast sandwich, also amazing. Such delicious flavours and great service. Cutest little cafe in the woods, gorgeous property and surroundings.
Went here a few times, first time was a few years ago and there was a huge lineup of people. Surprisingly, the service we received was way better comparing to my latest visit, when it was rainy and it was not busy at all. The food is very delicious but they only have brunch options and some burgers.
After our trip to Whistler we went for Brunch here at Fegie s . I wanted to try out a new dish for them since it was our second time eating here. I kindly asked the waitress Ashley about the meal that I wanted order. She did not properly explained to us what kind of dish it was. She Not very knowledgeable on the menu or did she even let us know their seasonal drinks. The Host was way better in customer services than the Ashley. Once the meal arrived and I tasted the food I was not pleased with the meal. I asked the waitress to talk to manager to at least give me an alternative to the meal. No unfortunately you would have to order another meal. I have dine in many restaurants and this is the first time I ve experience that they could not replace my meal. Second time dining here left sour taste. Unfortunately due to this I would have to give second thoughts if I wanted to dine here again.
Lovely service, great atmosphere and delicious food! Cant recommend highly enough.
Nice little spot in the woods. Good menu tasty food. Good gluten free options
Breakfast and beer Mushroom tangine and Fergie s traditional breakfast with bacon, sausage and fried cheese. I love Canada. I had a Widowmaker IPA and my date had a London Fog. Both fantastic. The drinks, not my date and me, but you know we re okay too. The location is also pretty fantastic. You may have to wait for awhile but it is worth it.
Delicious brunch but you have yo wait around 45mins.
Great cap here
Spectacular. Stopped in after an epic helicopter tour and was blown away by the food and atmosphere. We each had the French toast and savored every bite....a must stop.
Consistently excellent. Creative dishes, healthy portions, good coffee, and the best setting- who doesn t love eating a great meal in a forest next to a river. Cool architecture too
First time trying Fergies cafe was when I stayed at the sunwolf cabins, and it was great because at that time it wasnt busy. I love Fergies mind you it is a very popular place in Squamish so its usually very busy and youll have to put your name down and they will text you when they have a table available for you. I absolutely love the atmosphere of Fergies, my favourite place to sit if its available is the rustic looking portable, its very cozy in there! Food is very fresh and yummy! 10/10 Highly recommend
Staff is lovely, food is delicious and the architecture so special. I recommend
Wow! Absolutely delicious! We got Irish coffees, pulled pork Benedict, and eggs Alforno. The vibes were great, service quick.
This is what a 27$ burger looks like.
What a gem
What view of the river
Amazing location, fantastic food, Sometimes you don t have to wait :) Food
Great ambience. Good coffee and eggs Benedict but not sure if it s absolutely worth the hype or the wait.
The best coffee I have ever had in Canada! We didnt dine in as the wait time was over an hour but the food looked yummy. I am not sure why they have this many seats which kitchen unfortunately cannot cover. The worst part of this place is the bathroom. Only one bathroom upstairs, which was disgusting. The toilet is attached too high, toilet seat, paper holder and soap dispenser are broken. You cannot sit on the toilet as you will be sliding from side to side, soap is leaking from the dispenser all the way to the rubbish bin and hand towels are around the floor. Get a coffee to go and go.
Wow, this place is one of the best restaurants Ive been to! Cant speak highly enough about the karaage, yummmmm! I got that with an egg over medium and it was phenomenal. Incredible flavors and unique. Quick service and wonderful ambiance. The attention to detail was everything! Highly recommend and will be going back next time I am in the area.
The service wasnt very good, waitresses seemed snobbish and rude. But the food was great.
10/10 will absolutely return here. The Benedict was perfection. Service was great. The building the vibe so cozy. We Walked around the grounds to the river wow. Only thing I d say is the restroom facilities need work. Otherwise worth the hype.
Wow, food was great so was the service and atmosphere. This is my favorite new spot now.
Good food ice environment
Natural, peaceful setting with great coffee. Worth the detour.
Food
This place is fantastic! if you are on the fence about going here you should give it a go. Expecting nothing of it at first, I loved it. Thanks!
Overall good
Very cool spot! Went on a Saturday morning there was a bit of a wait which actually adds to the experience. You can walk down to the river, check out the small store, or get a coffee or beer while you wait. Dog friendly as well!
Delicious food, technically prepared.Amazing and friendly service. Well designed venue, the patio downstairs is super nice. Big patio tables for families and friends reunions, and has easy access to the river. Super recommended, and will return.
A beautiful little cafè. The food was great. Parking: Parking is free. Kid-friendliness: Theres an old there, but its very old and looks unstable.
Good brunch. Obviously overpriced, but expected that. Had the smoked salmon eggs bennie and a veggie toast. Not very much salmon for the price, the rest was well executed but nothing special. Pretty good virgin ceasar. Potatoes are amazing. The surroundings are beautiful which is definitely the allure.
The food is good, but its insanely overpriced. 3.50$ (before tax) for two (cut in half) slices of sourdough? You can buy the entire bread for almost the same price. Almost 7$ for a (very small) croissant. Yeah, it was good, but the price is still ridiculous for something that small. You will probably also have to wait for quite a while before a table becomes available to you. Yeah, overall Fergies isnt bad by any means, but I found it to be highly overrated.
Fergies Cafe near Squamish is a brunch paradise! The food is fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The serene outdoor setting adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot to start the day. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit for a delightful breakfast experience.
Beautiful scenery and great foods! We d love to come here back!
Stopped off here for brunch on way to Whistler. Great place to stop well worth it. Food and service was good in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend a visit if in the area.
MARVELOUS!
great food and location in a relaxed setting. Take a walk down to the river after dinner. Family and dog friendly space. Only criticism is they need to open later or do a dinner sitting. As it s hard finding good food in the evenings.
Visited Fergies on a Monday morning with a group of friends and we all loved it! I shared the Brioche French Toast and BBQ Asado Hash and loved every bite. Cappuccino and chai latte were also delicious. Fergies is a must visit in Squamish. Be sure to check out the beautiful Cheekeye River nearby. Cant wait to visit again in the future
Good!
Stopped on the way to whistler, amazing food. Highly recommend the Austins alpha bowl with salmon
Spent +$9 for gluten free bread on two meals, ridiculous, but even if there was no extra charge, its definitely not worth the drive out.
Overpriced food in a supposed to be relaxing location with an unfriendly and unhappy server.
Man this place was busy and packed! But I guess we showed up on a weekend in the summer. Definitely a must go! I had an iced dirty chai, probably best I ever had, it s right by a river in the forest. Rocks in the river were colours I d never seen before (see the photos!) Beautiful location, lots of parking. Restaurant is on the top floor!
I adore this restaurant - one of my faves in the area! The food is always awesome (I ve enjoyed every bowl, hamburger, etc.) It s great spending the time outdoors in the summer with a coffee or a local beer/glass of rosé. Staff are always friendly and - even though it s always busy with a lineup - they know how to run their waiting list so efficiently! Thanks for the lovely hospitality! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options available, which makes me so happy!
2 hour plus wait for one person apparently, No message saying theres a seat free. Waste of time trying to see what the place is like.
Fantastic spot up in the mountains! The food was good and cater to vegan and gluten intolerant customers. The atmosphere was also very relaxing. Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian opinions on the menu that can be made vegan. Dietary restrictions: Multiple vegetarian opinions on the menu that can be made vegan. Nearly all options on the menu can be made without gluten.
Couldnt get a table with paw service timely, so settle on take out food truck. Burgers was good but priced to be best. No complaints about their coffee and pastry. Food truck staff provided wonderful interaction and deserved a raise. Would be nice to have more choices for takeout than the limited menu.
Mixed feelings with Fergie s. The hostess on Saturday morning made a comment that just seemed rude dogs don t belong in restaurants yet the restaurant has 3 dog friendly tables. It just made us feel uncomfortable the way she said it and not just to me but to other clients as well, she was very annoyed it seemed like. Second thing was that there was a hair in my food .the waitress did take it back and brought out a new plate and the food is quite decent, i ordered a basic breakfast and i felt that there wasn t anything out of the ordinary. Drinks were great! I have mixed feeling because as much I dislike the things that happened I still want to give Fergie s a second chance. This experience was my first time in Fergie s
We visited on a Thursday afternoon around 1pm so we didnt encounter the wait times as mantioned in other reviews. Given the location and ambiance, the wait times are understandable on weekends. There was still a good crowd turnong over as we were seated. We ordered the burger, mushrooms on sourdough, crispy portobello, and brioche french toast w. side sausage. Food was presented beautifully and would make an impact on social media. Overall the flavours were there, if not a tad salty, on the savoury plates. The french toast was the best dish of the day, with the side sausage winning a supporting role. Crispy and custardy, it was a delicious balance with the fresh blueberry compote. As mentioned, there was a big crowd as we were sat, and unfortunately we waited a good 20 minutes for our food. The overall service was good, but nothing extrordinary. Fergies would be a nice option outside the usual stops alkng the way up to Whistler, as was our travel itinerary, however, be advised of the wait times and slower than usual kitchen service depending on the time of your visit.
The best brunch ever I had. With fantastic panorama. Love it. The staffs are so hospital.
Friendly, playful playgrounds, huge space, patio, cabins Parking: Busy and full at parking Kid-friendliness: Playground and space
Awesome atmosphere. Nice weekend getaway. Food is a bit over priced but the quality is solid.
Not what I was use to they made changes to the menu the old menu was incredible
Good food, service and vibes
Great food and super friendly and efficient staff.
We waited for 30 minutes to be seated, good thing they have a very nice place where you can seat on one of their benches and take some pictures. When we are finally seated, six of us, right under the sun where we can t feel any air so it s really hot. There s an umbrella but still you can feel the hot breeze. We asked if we can seat on the table under the café but they said that that s only for dog owner but the table we re in was also a table for dogs and we don t have a dog. They handed us water pitcher and as you can see in the picture it doesn t look good coz it s yellowish. When our order came in we started eating but still uncomfortable, so one of my friends asked if we can be transferred to one of the table under and she finally agreed. The food I got however is really good but the drink, I got the Iced Vanilla Latte, it looks so cheap as the glass is really small but they only filled half of it and the glass is also dirty. For me I wouldn t recommend this place but still you can try because my experience is not everyone else s.
Love this spot so much, always a must go when Im going through Squamish
Everything was awesome, but the price point was on the high side. The two of us ordered two coffee drinks, two brunch menus and a side of halloumi and paid close to $90. There was no line up when I went, which was on a weekday afternoon. Wheelchair accessibility: Might be difficult because of the gravel roads and stairs.
This place never disappoints! The dirty chai was a nice drink to wake me up in the morning and the egg benny was very delicious. I always tell myself to try something else on the menu but somehow always end up ordering the egg benny. The cabin setting makes it feel super cozy and relaxing. A nice stop to stretch the legs and get some nice breakfast between Vancouver and Whistler for sure.
Very pleasant experience with casual service.
Food was mediocre and our server was not friendly at all.
Not busy on Tuesday morning, I was waiting for over 5 minutes at the STOP sign! And no one showed up to take me in, although they noticed me. I wasnt starving, so I left for another restaurant which had a better service. Fortunately, you can find plenty in the beautiful Squamish.
Really disappointed in Fergie s this time. Guess there will not be next time even though the environment is great. Here is why: **Service:** Service was a big letdown. Went in to the front and there was no line. We just waited there for a while when servers saw us. They said hi but did not come to greet us or let us know what s going on. She was literally folding coffee filter while we were standing there. The servers had no sense of priority. When she brought us in, she didn t ask us where we want to sit. Instead, she just took us to the bar stools while there is a table available. We waited 30 minutes for our food. Meanwhile, the table of a white couple who came later got their food before us. It made us feel mistreated and discriminated against. Our server rarely checked on us, and the server did not do the basic things like water fills/refills. It seemed like an inconvenience to serve us. **Food Quality:** The food fell far below expectations. The food was mediocre to be honest. The server told me they cannot do iced London fog because it s tea ( have u not heard of something called iced tea). I got iced matcha latte instead, but came out so watery and the matcha was not sifted properly. The bacon was pretty dry in the Elaho. For a place that prides itself on brunch, the quality was kind of lacking. **Ambiance:** The ambiance was decent, but its hard to enjoy when the food and service dont measure up. The noise level was manageable, but the lack of attention from staff really detracted from the experience. **Overall Experience:** Gave 8% tip mostly for the kitchen, but should have given zero based on the service. Overall, I wouldnt recommend Fergie s based on my visit this time. Its really disappointing because I had good experience last time, but my experience fell short in every way.
Awesome.e hidden gem
Very cute place with good food and drinks. I enjoyed how the potatoes were seasoned and both the food and drinks were prepared well. Vibes are great, there is a river nearby to explore while waiting, we waited 30min on a saturday around noon. Substitutions and requests are declined for menu items (and is stated on the menu)
I recently visited Fergies Coffee Shop with a friend, and while the staff were friendly and attentive, our overall experience was disappointing. We enjoyed the initial service, but things took a turn when it came time to pay. Despite our request, they wouldnt let us split the bill, which was quite inconvenient for us. Additionally, we felt rushed to free up our table, which made our visit feel less relaxed and enjoyable. The atmosphere was also less than ideal - It was very hot inside, and there were a lot of flies, which made it difficult to eat peacefully. Overall, while the staffs friendliness was a plus, the other issues really detracted from our experience. We hope Fergies can address these concerns to improve the dining environment for future customers.
Ki made me the best latte I ve ever had, she is so knowledgeable about what she does! 5 stars for Ki!
Had to wake about 40 mins to get in but the food was excellent! The pulled pork Benedict was the best item we ate. The Cheekye breakfast sandwich was also really good. I enjoyed the grapefruit mimosa but found it a bit warmer than I wanted. Would definitely go back, the wait was worth it!
We went today, it was the first stop on our way to whistler, group of 5, no reservation, it was around 10 am, the staff was very polite and gentle all the time, we had to wait 40 min, but in the meantime we bought some coffee and tea from a vendor in the open/garden area, the food was fantastic!, everything was so tasty and the atmosphere is soooo calm and chill, there is a river on the side and we saw a lot of dogs, so great option for breakfast and petfriendly space.
Beautiful and unique place. Great atmosphere. We didn t try their food, only had a couple of drinks. If in Squamish it s definitely worth a visit Kid-friendliness: They have a nice park for children.
Busy little brunch spot in Brackendale. Great assortment of brunch options, the breakfast sandwich was really good. The hash was made very well and the salmon benny was spot on. Great work - highly recommended.
The best restaurant to stop by before going to Whistler and enjoy delicious food and atmosphere.
Really good , thoroughly enjoyed it. Good service, good food great company ( mind you I brought that with me) Difficult access, Hovever. Food
Amazing brunch in a great locale! Strongly recommend. Good chance there ll be a wait on a weekend, so get there with time. Strongly recommend!
Great atmosphere, great service and unbelievably delicious food!! gotta stop on the way or coming back from Whistler! P.S. give the widowmaker a try!
Beautiful variations of brunch dishes. Awesome location adjacent to river, greenery.....Squamish.
We had a very tasty brunch at Fergies. The french toast was fantastic!
They found a location, and really made a business model.. yes it s worth the wait for the atmosphere with friends. Food.. good not great. Go for the atmosphere, and times with your friends, family, partner. Bring your dog. Enjoy.
We really enjoyed the outdoor setting of this cafe and the food was fantastic. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. And, it was easy to find and access the location. Would definitely recommend!
Frustrating Experience with Poor Seating Management My recent visit to Fergies Cafe in Squamish was incredibly frustrating. They seem more focused on their iPads for seating people than on actually turning tables over efficiently. We were told there was a 40-minute wait for a table for two, but when we finally got in, I counted eight empty seats at the bar and fifteen empty seats in the lower room. The servers all seem to be busy running around doing something, Im not sure what because it wasnt that busy but us having to wait sure did make it seem like it was. To make matters worse, we saw people playing cards at a table in the bar area, and in the lower room where we were seated, two couches stayed empty the entire time we were there. This poor seating management made the whole experience feel like a waste of time. I thought the food would have pulled it out the fire but it was marginal at best. Its disappointing because the place has potential, but the inefficiency completely ruined our visit.
Great location, beside a river. Food quality was above average . The wait time was a little too long. Stayed 40 minutes in the line up and 35 minutes for the food to come. 75 minutes wait time was too much for eggs.
Delicious food, great vibes! A bit of a wait but the river and food truck and shop were nice to visit while we waited. Will definitely come back!
It is a nice cosy restaurant in a great place.. the food was great.. it would have been a five star if the waiter had a smile.. she seemed unapproachable and could have been more friendly especially given the price of the food Won t regret visiting this place Vegetarian options: Hash, toasts. Mushrooms.. Parking: Open parking lot.. no hassle parking..
Brunch for 3 three came to over $100 after tax and tips. Not only was it expensive for some eggs and potatoes plus a latte and an Americano. The service from the waitresses could be improve. 2.5 stars for the service.
Great spot to stop on the way to whistler, super easy to find on maps. Food and service was awesome! Highly recommend the BBQ asado hash.
As you can see, the first picture is from today and the second one is from two weeks ago. We are loyal customers who visit Fergis Cafe on the weekends, and today this is what we received! They didnt inform us that they were out of ingredients; instead, they served the dish with half a portion! We mentioned it to our server, but she just ignored us. This happened on June 16th at 12 PM. If you visit after 12 PM, this is what you can expect: half a portion for the full price! We were a group of seven, and I cant express how disappointed I am with this place. As a person who was going there on every weekend, I can totally see when something has been changed!
Good food however price/portion size could be better. Service was prompt and food was brought to table quickly. Overall would recommend but not blown away.
The property is spectacular, restaurant, venue and food even more so.
Go there only if you are a group of more than 4 and you have no better options. Everything is overpriced, the service is not good, there was a lot of attitude last time I was there, and the food is ok but pretty much like any other brunch place. Not worth all the trouble in my opinion. If you re a small group I wouldn t recommend this place at all. you ll be seated in a very small crowded dismal cafe upstairs beside the line-up area with no view after waiting for hours probably, so you won t even experience any atmosphere either.
Love the surrounding area and the atmosphere at this great location. Brunch is good. Delicious pulled pork and good potatoes. Coffee is not their strong suit and specialty if you order espresso, it can take a while. I d recommend this place. Food : 5/5
Great spot for brunch. Cosy with really great food. Highly recommend if you re on your way to Whistler.
Great location and menu. The servers are usually very nice but the host team can be a little cold. Ive had that a few times there which sometimes ruins the atmosphere! They cook the eggs to perfection and the sausage is P.S can we go back to being able to spilt the bill please!?
The views were beautiful, the food was delicious and the service was amazing. We got there around 10:30 and had to wait around 30 minutes to get seated. The indoor area was full so we were seated in the open air area. It was a little cold but there was a nice fireplace and the electric heaters were turned on. They also have blankets you can grab to make sure you arent too cold while eating.
It s gooood
Years, its been years since I have been here, and its still my favorite place for breakfast. For me, it ticked all the boxes; staff was friendly and attentitive, food was amazing, and didnt shy from veggies, drinks were delicious, ambiance was interesting, clean, and artsy. I wish this place was closer!
You must try this place truly amazing
Lovely and quiet place for a brunch. Brunch was not as tasty as we were expecting. However, we loved the atmosphere.
Although I get frustrated with restaurants who solely rely on mushrooms for vegan options, I was pleasantly surprised the type they chose and how not mushroom tasting they were. It was really good, the mushroom calamari however should really be an appetizer not a meal. Besides a large plate of mushroom there was nothing else. To be honest it should be half the amount with rice and a couple ingredients and turn it to a bowl. It was a bit sweet. The other dish with hash however was incredible and filling. It was some tartine dish, forget the exact name. Atmosphere of this place is really cute. Great place to stop while driving through. It gets busy though so be prepared to wait. Overall pretty satisfied with this place.
This used to be my favorite restaurant on the coast. Id make a day out of it every month, head up to Squamish, and end up at Fergies after a hike or whathaveyou. Ive introduced every friend/family member to this place. Sadly, its not what it used to be. The food was INCREDIBLE, the forager Benedict was to die for. I asked the server about it and she said they got a new chef 2 years ago, and I really am not a fan of the food. I went with 4 friends today, and none of our meals were good. The mushroom burger had a really weird taste, the alpha bowl had very little flavour, and the other burger wasnt great either. For $25 a plate, it was really disappointing. This is the fourth time Ive gone in the last 3 months, I keep wanting it to be good, but its just not. I think this was probably my last visit to Fergies :(.

Everything was perfect. From parking to food to service to bathroom... there was no flaw in either one. The staff were so friendly. I plan to come back here. Of course, with my girlfriend who just came with me.
This is a beautiful coffe shot just the the river side, both on winter or summer a must to visit,
Every aspect of breakfast at Fergies was incredible. Delicious food, flavorful coffee, and a beautiful atmosphere.
The food is delicious and the presentation is good! Alsado is good.
The outdoor space was pretty cool. Waited an hour for a spot on the weekend around 10:30am. They seemed understaff as there were a lot of empty tables inside. Food is average and pricing is like any other restaurant. Our mimosas came only half filled in the flute for $10 each it was not worth it. We got skimped because we saw others who ordered it as well and theirs were more filled, whats the deal there? Who is setting the standards? That killed our experience.
Excellent cafe with amazing place
I had the Coastal Benny which was amazing my friend had the Elaho and enjoyed it as well. Also had the oyster mushroom karaage which as unique as it was tasty. Ambiance was great with big windows and natural light and wood accents. Comfy bench seating at our table. Wonderful, friendly and prompt service. It didnt disappoint!
Everything about this place was incredible. The location was spectacular nestled away in the forested woods, among the mountains. It was like stumbling upon magical little fairy house. The service was warm, friendly and attentive, we were seated outside with a beautiful view and offered blankets immediately upon our arrival. The mushrooms were unlike anything I have ever had, five stars doesn t even begin to cover how good they were! The texture, flavours and balance were out of this world. I actually don t even know how to describe them, suffice to say I m speechless in a good way! We also had the bbq pulled pork hash, the hollandaise was generous and delicious, all the flavours were just spectacular. I love to have a wonderful meal like this where you leave happy and excited to tell people about it. I spent the rest of my day reminiscing about how amazing my meal was. Worth the 5 minute drive off the beaten path. Enchanting and charming and beyond expectations in every possible way.
The food and location is great, it s also nice there s so many gluten free options but I was disappointed in the $3.50 charge for a small piece of standard GF toast.
Such an unpleasant experience!!! During my visit yesterday with couple of my friends, I encountered a situation that left me feeling uncomfortable and so disappointed!!! While the overall dining experience was satisfactory, I was taken aback when our server approached our table at the end of the meal and directly solicited a tip from us. The servers request for a gratuity was not only unexpected but also felt arragont and unprofessional. As a customer, I believe that tipping should be voluntary and based on the quality of service received, rather than being solicited by the server. I am more than willing to reward excellent service with a generous gratuity. However, I believe that the manner in which the server approached the topic of tipping was not in line with the standards of hospitality that I would expect from your establishment. This incident has left a negative impression on all of us and has detracted from an otherwise enjoyable meal.
What a lovely place to have breakfast. Having coffee in an amazing building with a river view is absolutely the best vibe ever. I m obsessed with their CROISSANTS this is not even on the menu, but it is completely beyond and above. The Pullpork Benedict is also the best for me!!! Will definitely come back for sure!
Food and scenery are excellent. Price was decent. Very pretentious (its one bill per table), and the epitome of canadian hipster culture.
Excellent place to have a meal and enjoy nature
Food quality has drastically dropped since the earlier times. Service was good as ever.
Dietary restrictions: They do offer GF bread to pretty much everything what I do appreciate! Disappointment is the price for 1 slice what is 3,50$ what is so sad in my opinion to charge people that much, it s not my decision to be celiac and I m happy to pay a bit more for it as I understand it s more expensive to get it, but come on, 3,50$ for slice it s too much. Food was otherwise very tasty.
Had to wait an hour, but that was ok as it had a nice place to walk around. Then had to wait another hour for food and drinks , that was not nice. Instead of eating at the cafe itself, I would suggest getting a coffee and croissant from the food truck, walking around and thats about it.
Fergies is an amazing restaurant set in a beautiful area. I absolutely loved the design of the restaurant and it s setting nestled along the river. I ordered the eggs al forno and they were so delicious there was not a single drop of food left on my plate. I can t wait to visit BC again soon to come back here!
Everything perfect
The food was not bad, however the service was good, and so was the beautiful view. Very cozy and warm. Definitely a place to checkout Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options which is great
Super cute spot in the woods, with cabin-y vibe. Absolutely delicious food, very much worth the price. Highly recommend the Coastal Benedict.
Delicious brunch in the forest.
So so amazing, best food, best view, it s soo cozy
Not sure what was the fuss about, the wait was 45 minutes, they didnt even let us buy coffee while waiting, after we were seated the server asked for drinks , all their coffee beverages were acidic and cold , food was meh and extremely salty , they didnt bring cutlery after serving food, so we had to ask for it. Anyways we wont be going there again.
Always a great time for brunch at Fergie s!
Fantastic food served in paradise by lovely people. Thank you again guys really enjoyed that
This cafe is tucked in the woods right beside the river. There was a wait of 30 mins to get a table for two (but it was worth every bite).Theres also a cute little shop on the property thats easy to get sucked into while your waiting o be called for your turn to be seated. Its also just nice to find a spot on a rock along the river and watch the fisherman! The staff were friendly, and the service was really good. The food was incredible. I had the coastal eggs benny with steelhead trout and it doesnt disappoint. Some people may think this a bit of a pricier side, but I think you also have to consider this place doesnt cut corners. Everything is freshly made to perfection. Your tastebuds will cry with joy! Im so glad i found this little place. I will DEFINITELY be back.
They have reintroduced their horrid over salted potatoes that seem to take over the entire plate. The previous menu without them was far superior. My problem is that I was recommended a dish by the staff (a wild mushroom tartine) which I did not like at all. I had one bite and pushed it aside. The server removed it and did not care whatsoever that I did not touch my food. This is not the first time this has happened but this is the first time I am reviewing! Such disregard for the customer is unacceptable especially when a tip is expected. The previous menu with the fritters etc is amazing but the new menu not so great. Too bad!
Missed opportunity here. Food was great, but being charged $1.00 for hot water with lemon felt ridiculous. Left a bad taste being nickel and dimed. Im surprised they didnt charge for ice in the ice water they served. I appreciate that costs have gone up across the board, but those complementaries are a favour to customer retention and referrals. Also, being told from the get-go before we even sat down that the bill would have to be all-together was an uncomfortable start to the experience.
Food is good though but there was nothing for chicken lovers. I ordered very similar to sakshuka kind of dish (tomoto with eggs) with extra breads and extra eggs and fergies special hot chocolate. We waited for like 40min but luckily there is a river where you can enjoy some time and clicks. The ambience is fine. If you dont want to wait for too long then you can sit in patios which is similar to indoor feel air Proof. Overall nice place to hangout nd cost atleast 50$ for two people food.
Loooooved this place! The food was amazing! Good taste and very well presented. The eggs benedict were delicious and the french toast to die for. The place is beautiful and really nice views of the mountains and squamish river! One of the best brunch I ve had in BC so far.
Amazed by the decor and the surrounding nature. There s an indoor and semi-indoor/open air seating area. The indoor area was full so we were seated in the open air area. It was a little chilly so our waitstaff started the fireplace next to us and turned on the electric heaters. A little out of the way if you re travelling through Squamish, but completely worth it as its own stop. Got the BBQ asado hash.
Beautiful location and great drinks
Thank you guys.
Beautiful and unique setting, amazing food and drinks. A gem in the middle of the forest.
Lovely experience! oMG.. The Chai tea latte was amazing Try it! Super cute environment and amazing place to spend your time!
Beautiful location and view. Food was flavourful, fresh and delicious. Heated patio and indoor seating available. I ordered the bowl - $27 and extra $3 for half an avocado. Worth the price.
Stunning view, great food and beautiful staff-waitresses. Ordered a veggie burger with a side of bacon. Price is average we paid $150 for 4 people with a lot of coffees and teas.
The food is very good! The service is attentive. The prices are fair. You may have a sizeable line to get in. It is very close to the river so it is possible to go while waiting. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.
The best pit stop between Britannia and Whistler to have breakfast or lunch. The food is awesome. This is one place I would recommend to all travellers going to Whistler coming from Vancouver. The view is great specially for nature lovers. Vegetarian options: They have several choices. Dietary restrictions: Tell them of your dietary restrictions am they will adjust to your dietary requirements. Parking: Dirt and gravel parking but no problem Kid-friendliness: They have a playground for Kids.
Wow! If I could rate Fergies Cafe more than 5 stars, I totally would! My family and I had an extraordinary time there. The staff were incredibly attentive and the food was out of this world! My family and I were absolutely blown away. My wife and I couldnt resist trying the BBQ Asado Hash, a side of Pulled Pork, and the Brioche French Toast. Let me tell you, words cant express how flavourful these dishes were. The photos doesnt do justice. Overall, it was such a delightful experience. The drive here was worth it. Cant wait to go back for more! Vegetarian options: Very flexible with options. There were a handful of menu items that can be easily be turned into a Vegetarian dish Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten-free options. Kid-friendliness: The establishment has plenty of ground for kids to run around, and a playground.
The food was delicious but the food poisoning was not. I ordered the braised short rib hash while my girlfriend has the vegan option. The food was delicious but the coffee I was served tasted extremely odd and a few sips in I realized that the cream I was given was completely off. I let my server know and she swapped it out right away and comped the coffee. However, once I got back home I spent the rest of the night hugging the toilet bowl. It was the only thing I ate that day so I dont doubt it was because of either the food or the off coffee cream. Great place to get a bite Im sure but the food poisoning I got will take me a while before I return.
We didnt get to eat because it was so busy, it was a one hour wait for a table. My coffee was okay, and we had to beg for them to give us coffee to go. It must be good if everyone is waiting so long to get in.
Beautiful spot, I feel like this place represents Vancouver/Whistler the best way. My favorite brunch spot.
What a great spot! Meals are well presented and delicious, excellent ingredients. Our server was excellent. One concern. A rude, cold woman (curly hair) greeter that was reluctant to seat us at our table till all members of our party of 5 had arrived. Ok. It s your policy as we were told many times. But deliver the policy in warm inviting way. Don t ask are they coming? in an annoyed fashion. It s such a great place. Why such an uninviting attitude? Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options
I love Fergies, delicious food
This place is exceptional. The location can t be beat, great vibe and the coastal Benny was off the hook.
This place is excellent in the summer and dog friendly. The food is good, but the atmosphere and setting is the reason to go. The dishes I ve had were all well made and flavourful, but the portions were lacking for the price. In the summers you can sit out in the yard if their property at picnic tables with full service. The river rushing in the background, it s great. The shoulder seasons / winter that is obviously not feasible. Expect a long wait - but it is worth it for the one of a kind experience. I recommend this place to anyone in the area.
We visited this brunch restaurant on a Sunday, realized they don t take reservations and when we arrived it was about 45 min wait time to get a table. It s spacious, warm and beautiful and it locates next to river. We ordered BBQ short rib benny and pork belly benny with freshly baked croissant and drip coffee. We liked all dishes however it would be good to have some fruit/fresh vegetables as well. The coffee was bland. Service was ok ! Something that made us uncomfortable was the fact that they don t split bills and just give one bill for the whole table. Still, I d go back.
A hidden gem on the way to Whistlers Mountain . Beautiful view of the river stream while you munch on great food by the fire.
This is an awesome hidden gem, granted not sure hidden is the right phrase, maybe off the beaten path is more accurate. Youre likely to have a wait so be prepared but its so worth it. Luckily I was able to snag a spot at the bar with no wait and the service was friendly and efficient. I opted for the coastal benedict which was off the charts! Cold smoked steelhead trout, two soft poached eggs, avocado, fresh baked buttermilk biscuit, hollandaise sauce, dill & fennel pickle, fried capers...I mean, seriously?? So delicious. The fried potatoes alongside were also perfectly cooked. Slight crisp, creamy inside with no hint of grease. I cant wait to return here!!
I enjoyed my burger, but find it so unbelievably annoying when a restaurant won t break the bill up. My party and I are all independent of each other. Leaving feeling frustrated having to split the bill up once we leave in the car. Not likely to return just for this reason nor pay the minimum tip amount have to be left frustrated to split it up after the fact.
We tried this hidden cafe today for brunch. The Cafe is located 5 min drive from Squamish right beside the Cheeky River. The parking lot provides enough space for all guest and the main building is 1 min walk. The food and services are great. We tried 8 different brunch options and every single was happy of both high quality meal and generous meal portion. Every meal was on highest quality and well cooked and cared and placed nicely in the dish. Prices also were so reasonable and better than most of similar locations in GV. Staff were supper nice and friendly. And despite the busy family day, they were trying to serve everyone in the best manner. In front of the Resturant also you will find lots of outside benches that you can enjoy subnet days, like today. Also a good playground with swings, slides and log lot for kids to play. At the very end, we spent about 15 walking on the riverside , which was a great nature touch. We definitely will back here for another brunch and highly recommend this beautiful Cafe for a quality time with family and friends. P.S: it seems that there are several cabin to rent. I haven t checked them yet.
Updated 2024: Id like to change the review to 5 because theyve been adding more to their menue. Also, its not fair for such an amazing hidden gem to get 4 for review. IT IS A MUST TRY. The 4 is because of the atmosphere. No matter how the food would be its still worth it. The problem is they havent changed the menue for years. And honestly might not be the best. Again, the atmosphere and staff are amazing, no doubt.
My partner and I had the pleasure of having brunch at this delightful establishment, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Timing is key, as we were fortunate to secure a table just before the crowd started pouring in. A word of advice: arrive early to avoid the queues its well worth it! The atmosphere exuded a modern and youthful charm that immediately caught our attention. The servers, a friendly and vibrant group, added to the overall positive ambiance. Now, lets talk about the food. The homemade croissant was a true delight, setting the stage for the culinary journey that followed. I opted for the pulled pork Benedict, and each bite was a burst of flavor. My partners choice, the BBQ asado hash, was nothing short of amazing a harmonious blend of flavors that left us craving more. Not to be overlooked, the drinks elevated our experience to another level. My hot chocolate wasnt just warm cocoa; it was a genuine indulgence, a rich and satisfying treat that surpassed any pre-packaged alternatives. To be honest, Im already looking forward to my next visit!
Had the best brunch, area is surrounded by nature and the staff were great. Will definitely come back and it s worth the drive.
