On December 1, we had the worst experience ever. My sister and I, always have our traditional Christmas dinner to give our present and just have fun talking. We picked Moxies. We made a reservation, we got there on time, one of the workers sat us down, gave us the menus. It was not busy, there was only us and another couple in the whole dining room. We waited while we made up our mind to what we were gonna order but nobody came to even give us water or ask if we wanted to order. We waited 30 minutes, we decided to leave and go to the Keg which is around the corner. There were 4 people at the front desk just chatting, they even said “we hope you enjoy your meal”, I said that we didn’t eat because nobody came to serve and we left. The keg was so good and fast service. I will never go back to Moxies again, it was actually my first and last of this restaurant.
Hubby & I just ate there a few minutes ago. We always liked dining & drinking at Moxies. This time was a bit disappointing though. Our server was at first very bubbly & friendly but little did we know that these traits will become our disadvantage later on. She failed to be attentive to our requests simply because she spent most of her time chatting & joking with the other customers at a nearby table across ours. We were seated at Table #43.
I went to Moxie’s many years ago and was highly disappointed by the service and the food more than once. It’s had many major changes since I’ve been there last and I will say that the atmosphere is beautiful. A bit dark from my liking, but very good for romantic settings. I came for happy hour and ordered a few drinks and some shrimp tacos and fries. My water came late and when I asked for extra ketchup for the fries, it never showed up until I was ready to leave. The fries were also extremely stale and cold when they first came, but the server was kind enough to get them taken off the bill. The tacos were amazing. The music in the restaurant is a bit loud because neither the bartender nor my server could understand what I was saying to them as I stated I needed my bil and was leaving. It’s also worth mentioning that when my server initially came up to me, she was very friendly but had a nasty, concerning cough. A friend suggested that they were good for their apps and drinks and they were right. Not so sure about the rest. I left a tip because I’m not an asshole, but I was not impressed by this place once again.
Great location for a meal with family, friends, etc. It's got a nice split of a family-friendly half, a Sports-Bar area and a glass-walled but roofless) outer patio that's awesome in good weather. The food menu is a nice mix of burgers, appetizers, some seafood and staples like ribs and wings. The Blackened Mahi Mahi is excellent! This location is just outside the Bramalea City Centre and while parking rights outside is usually adequate, in peak hours that fills up fast but there's tons more parking within that plaza. Not sure what the schedule is but there's sometimes a live DJ too. It's a great location for a quick drink and wings or something more elaborate. The atmosphere is light, friendly and the right amount of helpful with being too hovering.
Saddened that I had to write this review as it used to be a place with reasonable food and great service. Now, the food is subpar and the service is deplorable. I went there during a slow Saturday afternoon, and the staff were more concerned with watching a game on TV than serving the customers. I sat on the patio and had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. I also had asked when I got my meal for a condiment, And he never showed back up. I then had to go to the outside bar. To get my bill in order to pay. On the way out, I did mention to the manager that they are severely understaffed and undertrained, and something needs to be done. Now onto the food I ordered the steak frites and the steak was to be prepared, medium, and it came out beyond well done. The Frites Were cold and barely cooked. I’ve had numerous items from here from the pasta to the Blondie that I must say is always consistent. Probably because it comes from a factory. The patio is OK that’s all I have to say about that. Not sure if I will come back and definitely will not order the steak frites again.
I haven’t been to moxies in so long, and now I know why. Service was super slow, server needs to come around more. I’ve been wanting to leave for about 15 mins that evening, and she was no where to be seen. I don’t know if they were short staffed that night, but to not even walk the area to see if the customers need anything? Like come on. I ended up getting a chicken zen bowl, presentation was nice, but the chicken had zero flavour and too small of a portion. It said it was going to be soy glazed, there was no soy glaze to be found. The best thing about that bowl were the vegetables, but I did have to ask for hot sauce since the flavour of the chicken was very bland.
The Blackened Mahi Mahi was DELICIOUS! Textures from the mashed potatoes with the fish were amazing. Dish was slightly salty but so so good. Calamari was SO fresh and yummy as ever. Nachos are HUGE, come with a big appetite! Spent just over $100 for splitting these apps + 2 martinis + main entree. I will definitely be back to fix my Moxies cravings!!
We went on Mothers Day weekend. The place was packed. We had to wait for 1.5 hours, no reservations. I was placed in the waitlist; however, they didn't call or text me back. Perhaps, they were sooooooooo busy. Steak frites was good. not really mind blowing but it tasted amazing.my salad had more sauce than arugula. The fries were crispy. The blackened mahi mahi was perfectly seasoned so is the mashed potato. Loved it. Their Laksa was good; not the authentic one but fits if one is craving. I wished there was more "kick" on the spice level. We loved the calamari. My MIL gave a 10/10 score. It was a small serving for 3 people. They gave out free basil pots which I loved. I love Basil! They have a looottttt of servers. I don't know why other people love their nachos, they look sad. Ahahaha

Loved this place !! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The food was too good We had lettuce wrapped tofu , salmon and chipotle chicken everything was so perfectly good and tasted soo delicious! Would highly recommend this place it surely has a vibe ! Our server was very polite ! Unfortunately I don t have any pics the food looked so good I dint had patience to click pics

We had an excellent dining experience tonight! Our server, Ryan, was incredibly attentive and made us feel welcome from the start. He took the time to introduce the winter specials and new menu items, which was a nice touch. The food was fantastic! The mahi-mahi and Mano chicken were standout dishes clearly prepared with extra care and attention to flavor. Even the kid s menu impressed us. My child had the salmon, which came with a generous portion of fresh, well-prepared veggies on the side. It s great to see a restaurant putting as much effort into their kid s offerings as they do with the main menu. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with delicious food and accommodating service. Highly recommend!
the management at this location need to keep a close eye to the reservation process. i had a 5 PM reservation, got there with my sister before 5... the lady at front desk was in a such a bad mood... took us a table... we waited over 20 minutes and nobody came to serve us... so we decided to leave and go to the KEG Instead... we were surprised to find that same lady with a bad attitude was chatting with this other lady and a guy... we told them we were leaving since nobody came to serve us... and they didnt say anything... no apology or anything... very poor service!! I am sure the management has no idea.
I always love Moxies! The steak was cooked to perfection! It was really loud, but it was expected, as it was Friday night. Its not the best place for a first date since I couldnt hear my guy.

We went for a family function, and we had a wonderful time.
The Chef needs to do a better job in cleaning and cutting vegetables. The Carrots and Zucchini tops were not cut. I dont really understand this cut of Carrot. Looks really bad in presentation. I am pretty sure Moxies Head office decides cuts but they need to re-think as it does not give dinners a good experience.
Edit - Management reached out in a timely manner and resolved the issue. Thank you. I had an issue with take-out where my order was wrong and my dietary restrictions were not honoured. Someone had attempted to rectify it by refunding the total automatically to the card which turned out to be a different total and someone elses credit card - not mine. I sent a detailed email to Moxies HR regarding the issue and have not recieved a reponse. The entire experience has been inconvenient.
Moxie s Bramalea never disappoints! The food is always delicious and the staff friendly and attentive. I ve been dining here for over a decade with friends and family and it s always been a great experience. I had dinner with my aunt on Friday night and our sever Austin was really sweet and helpful! We tried the roasted tomatoes and whipped feta appetizer and it was tasty and filling!
Visited with my wife on Friday, Oct 25, 2024 for Happy Hour. Ordered 2 Shrimp Tacos, Truffle Parm Fries, Calamari & Shrimp, Classic Margarita and Big Life Euro Lager. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and Trixie (our Server) was excellent, always smiling and attentive. We had a lovely time and will definitely visit again. Parking: It was at approx 4:45pm, and there was plenty of parking. We parked in front of the restaurant.

Ordered MahiMahi fish on the bed of mashed potatoes, chorizo, and pesto, topped with guacamole. I couldnt even tell that I was eating fish. It was like something threw up on the plate. They warmed it up and served it. Spent over $225 with tip and will never go back. The service was good, and thats all I have to say about that.

November 8th, 2024 - I went to this location with my son for his 14th birthday. We were served by the nicest server named Selah T. She made great menu suggestions, was attentive to our needs, and gave honest timelines regarding when food would be served. My son had a blast because she made sure that he enjoyed every part of his meal and she has a great sense of humor and made us laugh. She is the definition of great customer service when good management training comes into play. Consider yourself extremely lucky to be served by her when you go there. Selah said that she had only been working at this location for 2 weeks...If thats the kind of caliber staff that Moxies has been hiring - our family will definitely be going back there to celebrate major milestones. Selah T. deserves a raise (which I told her manager that night). Selah, thank you for making my sons birthday special and as a mother I appreciate everything.
I had Ryan Alli as my waiter. His demeanor was amazing he was very kind, poliet and l love how neat and tidy his appearance was. Ryan made a number of recommendations that were absolutely amazing. My next visit will definitely be soon and I will demand to be seated in Ryans area. I can definitely see this young lad being a manager at his location
Just wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience at the Brampton Moxies location. We attended for a birthday celebration at lunch time and upon arriving at the restaurant we noticed two areas where someone had puked outside the restaurant, right in front of the entrance. Definitely not a great start to our visit and Im surprised management hadnt dealt with that. While the service we received was good, the food we ordered was unfortunately not. I ordered the hot wings which were cold, stale and smelled as if they were expired or heavily freezer burnt. The celery accompanying the wings was limp and black/brown at the ends, clearly not fresh and borderline rotten. I asked for a new set of wings but unfortunately got the same quality the second time around, so it was evident fresh ingredients were not being used. It seems theres an issue with quality and Im fearful of what the condition of the kitchen would be because of this. Its a shame because our bill came to about $100 and it was not worth the money at all. I would actually urge Moxies to credit this money I spent as I was very disappointed and unsatisfied with what I recieved. Im surprised since the Moxies location at Square One is fantastic and so completely different than what I experienced in Brampton. Will not be returning to this location, and I hope this bad situation can be rectified.

We had inquired about booking a large event of around 80 people on short notice, and management was easy to get a hold of, quick to respond and extremely accommodating. All of our party guests were very impressed with the quality and variety of the food and the service was quick and friendly! Thank you Kial, Ronald and Olivia for the successful event! Where do I begin about this near empty restaurant. But I can see why its fairly empty. Been going here since 2014. Pineapple drink missing the dried pineapple and ice (then sent me 1/2 of one, when every other restaurant gives a full piece. How odd, when I paid for it. Sent a ridiculous mint leaf which destroyed the flavour of the drink). My calamari appetizer with one sauce I never ordered (asked for 2x thai and no garlic) sent 1x thai and 1 garlic anyways. The worst was the 10oz leather steak clearly medium well, instead of medium rare. This very disappointing experience in a near empty restaurant with a manager whose entire body language screamed aggressive and arrogant was the final straw (hands on hips and all, like she was addressing a toddler). Why bother engaging in an experience so below par? I could safely say McDonalds could outshine... waste of my time. I would not trust you to prepare a glass of water today. Clearly, the F- crew was on today and the main crew was saved for dinner service, which is understandable... but there should be a reasonable level of competence. Only saving grace was the serving staff, she was simply lovely and doing her best during this meal. The oncoming p.m. manager (Danny) we got to chat with for a few moments, he was simply charming and seems very customer oriented. Would rather dine in when he is on staff as good leadership supports staff. Miss hands on her hips, curt and short questions in an unfriendly and rude manner most certainly is a no. If she is like that with customers... I can only imagine the horrors staff endure under her reign of terror. Really missed the mark today and it was made far worse by poor leadership. I had planned to just drink mimosas for the duration while my fiancé finished his meal, but even that tasted off (and on par with the consistent issues, was charged $8.50 instead of the $5 Sunday price... which I never brought up and paid, as I was fully over it and didnt want to add to my servers stress). I am not sure what happened today. I hope this was the last of 2023 and farewell to bad things, but I can safely say no restaurant experience in all my life has ever been this horrible. Lol Cheers to better things and restaurants in 2024.

Our server was amazing vert professional but the food was awful... it came out cold then when told it was cold, the kitchen staff took the shrimp off my taco ( they claim with tongs) warmed it up, put it back on my bitten taco and popped a piece of parsley, as for my cousin his potatoes ribs and chicken were ice cold. We tasted it they put the neat back on the grill that we had tasted and then served it luke warm again.... absolutely gross I didnt eat anything.
The customer service here is so good! My steak was under cooked and they took it back and replated an entire meal AND covered the cost. Also the waitress we had was so nice!

Had dinner with my husband and granddaughter. Ordered all appetizers for our meals which satisfied our hunger pains. We ordered the calamari, dry rubbed ribs, tuna sushi stack and chicken wings.

I wanted to bring my husband out to a restaurant close by, but moxie kept coming to mind. Its been years since i revisited one but I decided last night id go to the one at Bramalea City centre. Our server, Kathryn, was terrific. My husband said if we didnt have her as our server, I dont know if our experience would be as great as it was. She was so friendly, warm, funny and very patient with us. We like menus with photos because they give us an idea of what we like, but she did an excellent job recommending and describing the food we got. The food of our choice was fantastic. I recommend the white peach bellini; we had 3 of them!
Nice ambience, but food was ok even though they had a good number of vegetarian entrees, taco, etc. Cappuccino was cold!

Had a dinner date with a friend who lives in Canada. I visited from Trinidad. Everything was top class... food, service and ambience.

I once years back posted high praise on this restaurant. Went to celebrate the birthday of my son. They made a mistake with my chicken and ribs order. Only chicken came. The ribs followed several minutes later. The floor manager told me that, because of the convenience, I would just charge chicken and make up with waiving off the fee for the ribs. Nope....the bill came, and its not waived. Thats okay. Ill pay for it. And then they gave my son a small piece of cake with a lot of whipping cream and unlike before where it was given courtesy of the restaurant. They charge me for it. Things have changed. Definitely, I am not spending another $375 plus on meals there. Its just not worth it. Praise to the person who attended the table. I still left her a tip. She is still very friendly. Never again.

My server Julicia and her excellent customer service skills made our evening the best dining experience weve had since dining at Vargas in Montreal. Moxie should be proud to have her as an employee with such great skills. Was a busy evening, but, worth the time spent dining.
Food was good however feel as if It could be a lot better. however, service is amazing, thanks to Victor. The atmosphere on patio is amazing, love the fire, the music as well as the open bar outside however seems to have fruit flies.

Good food but lackluster service. Took over 15 min to place the order because the server was nowhere in sight. I think he forgot that we were there. Random people just standing around.
Food is disgusting, small portions, dry and old tasting. Fruit flies everywhere around the table. Way too over priced. Bathrooms are also insanitary. Would never recommend this location!

I was disappointed today with my lunch order. It was the Cobb Salad. Crisp iceberg lettuce, bacon, avocado, soft boiled egg, feta ... was difficult to eat. Didnt appreciate a thick cut of iceburg lettuce. Would not order that again. Also took 45 minutes to order food. We had to ask the waiter when our food was coming to our tables. Not a happy customer today.

I have visited this location once moxies at bramalea city Centre , however this time was very special as our server Ty did a phenomenal job taking care of us. He always came by to ask how we were doing, if we needed anything and even asked us how the food tasted throughout our meal. He definitely deserved a big tip. I came back in numerous amount of times after that. :)

Shout out to our server, Jada or Jade not 100% sure but she was awesome. Other than that, kind of disappointed, had a small reunion with some former work colleagues. Ordered lots of food but I was the only one who didn t receive their main. After speaking with the manager, they made my meal to go, and didn t bill me, but still was disappointed is wasn t able to eat at that moment. Ball dropped but haven t given up on Moxie s, I may try them again, especially the bramalea location.

We waited 15-20 mins for someone to come take our order even then no one came to assist us. The restaurant was practically empty. Very disappointed with the service. Eventually we walked out.
Just left the restaurant as was celebrating a great occasion. Ordered a steak which was cold. Told the manager who didnt do any service recovery. Server disappeared on us after meal was served and didn t even get water. Overall a very disappointing experience. This was unfortunate as my previous experiences have been good. Was really looking forward to this evening as we were celebrating, but ended up leaving with a bad taste in the mouth.

I visited the last week. I thought it was nice overall. Service was great and the atmosphere was also really nice. My only feedback is that the food there is very salty. Especially on fish which I wouldn t expect.

Came in to dine and I was quite disappointed with the interaction between Ronald and myself. I wish he was more open and empathetic towards patron concerns. Nonetheless my experience took a complete 360, as my server Justin was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Justin was very personable, thoughtful and checked on us throughout our entire dinner. He made the experience very much worth it, to say he is a great asset to the team is not enough. Thank you Justin!

Their nachos are fresh and the steak taste good and cooked perfectly. The portion of the calamari is small. The alfredo pasta taste normal. However, the main reason I am giving 1 star is when I asked a server (woman) for a mayo on the side for my sons fries I was told that there is a charge for it! Seriously! I spent $4 on Wendys and I was given 2 packs of mayo for free. I paid almost $300 in this restaurant and you are telling me condiments are extra charge! This is ridiculous! This is the first time we eat here and will not come back ever! We ate at so many restaurants and we were never charge for a mayo on the side!

I was dumbfounded to find such a high end place with so little staff to serve its customers. The wait time was long to which I do not blame staff. When the food arrived it was warm, I can only blame management as its their job to have adequate staff. The only positive to my point of view was our server Ty who was polite and pleasant. He did his utmost to serve us. We can honestly say Ty was the only bright spot to our visit. Unfortunately its quite difficult when management limits staff when they knowingly are aware of what hours they will be busy. Im sure the other restaurants within this plaza will gladly enjoy Moxies customers coming to them. As a footnote I went to one and it was well staffed. Wake up if you want to make profit you need customers short staffing will not do this.

Had an amazing experience at Moxies BCC location for date night. We got the Truffle Parm Fries, Chicken Burger, and Black Bean Tacos for our mains. The service was quick and efficient, our server came to check in on us. We got the Sticky Toffee Pudding (small size) and it came hot and ready. We enjoyed our time there and will definitely be coming back again soon! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian/vegan friendly options! Definitely recommend.
Havent been to this Moxies in 11 years..was way different from what I remember but in a good way. Definitely has a vibe. Didnt get food but the drinks were good.
