A very good chinese joint for a variety of NonVeg food, but vegetarian options are very limited.

Worst customer service, rude, no wonder why it has a low rating. I hate to leave a review but I don t think this restaurant should be supported. They need to learn to be better at customer service and retain customers.

Ordered sour chicken and fried rice was good and great service made sure the food was egg free since my allergies. Would come again! Dietary restrictions: Made the fried rice eggless and substitute the egg rolls since my allergies

Fries where stale Spring rolls where cold Chicken was raw Rice and noodles wheee both undercooked spent $80 thinking me and my family would have a nice meal. But no. My son stomach was hurting after eating the raw chicken. Really disappointed with this order. I recommend no one go to this place it s TERRIBLE.

The food taste is really bad

This is our go-to place for Chinese Food in Brampton. We always pre-order on Christmas Eve and they never let us down. The food was ready on time and it was delicious. Too bad they do not have their buffet anymore, Covid shut that down and it never recovered.

Great chicken soup Very tasty Food

This restaurant is defined not a disappointment. It is a little. difficult getting them on the phone, but they do not disappoint. Placed order on Uber but had to make changes urgently. It was hard getting a hold of them on the phone, but once I did, and explained what I needed, they were accommodating, professional, and efficient. Food was delicious, portions perfect, and the food tasted amazing. They did not disappoint at all and I will definitely be re-ordering from this restaurant. Thank you Golden Palace (Torbram)

I dont normally leave reviews but, this is probably something that needs to be cleared. I have been ordering from this place for the past 4 years and have had no problems with it. Recently, about a year ago my girlfriend had tried this place out and immediately told me next day that she felt ill, with stomach cramps and diarrhea. So because,I have never faced such issues with there food i assumed her stomach wasnt used to the food.... Boy was i wrong. I recently ordered food from this restaurant, 2 days ago, and since then i have had nausea, vomitting, fever, diarrhea, and fatigue. Now Ive never experienced such symptoms from a food restaurant before and am deeply sadden by such a fact. It has been ruled out to be food poisoning. I am deeply disappointed by this as this has been a chinese food store i hyped up. However, to experience vomiting 10 times in the past 2 days is unacceptable for me. Patrons need to know what they are signing up for when they decide to eat this food. I for one will no longer order food from here as these symptoms has clearly ruled out for me my patronage at this establishment. Also, this establishment does not have an automatic door button. I for one who has a broken foot and is on crutches was rather shocked by this. Im quite certain majority of establishment are to have ways and means for patrons to enter and exit the facility in a safe way. This establishment did not have this which was rather upsetting. Further amplifying my disappointment. The only good thing i can say is the moment the staff recognized this, they were quick to assist me and i was rather pleased. With that being said STEER CLEAR FROM THIS FOOD RESTAURANT

Very disappointed with our experience Jan 8 Used to be our go-to restaurant for Chinese food. Looks like under new management now. Food was awful and had to throw most of it out. Never again for sure. Dietary restrictions: Not many options for gluten free diet

Haven t been there since before covid. They re only take out now. The food is not close to how good it was before. Everything had an unusually flavour. Not a spoiled flavour as in the food went bad but perhaps the ingredients are different. Not to my liking. I certainly wont go back. Maybe Im just so used to Mandarin now. I would never suggest to anyone not to go. Its just not for me anymore.

This is the second time I have ordered from this location and have been disappointed. Ordered general tao chicken - soggy and flavourless. Cantonese chow mein - extremely salty. Shangai noodles - zero heat. Forgetful and missing items. Spending $90 on an order should be of quality especially for a family owned restaurant. If Gordan Ramsey visited from kitchen nightmares, hed whip this place into shape.

The egg rolls are great but the rice and general Tao chicken were tasteless.

Compliments to the chef/chefs cooking June 25 at about 7:00, some of the best Chinese food we have had in a long time. It all was tasty and most of all had lots of flavours and was really fresh. Thanks so much

Would give this a zero star if I could. Don t usually make reviews but this place really suprised me. golden palace has been my go to for a while and recently they have increased their prices. I didn t mind and figured it was worth it. Mistake. I order their Singapore noodles and the last time I ordered they were flavourless and not spicy at all. It was like plain pasta. I called them and they were closed so when I callled the next day, they claimed their chef did a good job and said their was nothing they could do. Thought maybe it was just a bad one time thing. Ordered again and this time the noodles were white. No seasoning or nothing and the instructions that were given, weren t followed through. This was a all time fave but recently they have really disappointed me. It s like 50/50 with them. Sometimes your order will be amazing and others, it won t. I just expect better for the price I m paying.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible ordered off SkipTheDishes and they had a better rating there. Should have googled this place first. The food was sooo bad, and it was almost $60 for two dishes that were horrible. First off all the taste was bad, and there was so much noodles and nice and BARELY any meat. Im so disappointed what a waste of money :( it was really bad, totally not worth it. I feel robbed.

Horrible. Shanghai noodles are dry, chicken balls were greasy and sent without sauce, rice was burnt, general tao chicken was a soggy mess. Do not order from here.

Ordered for Christmas Eve family dinner and they made numerous errors on the order. Delivery person basically threw the bags at us and ran. Paper bags were ripped and stuff falling out on the driveway. I really used to like this place but the last few times I have been disappointed. I ordered vegetable nooodles, chicken with mushroom and spring rolls. I garbaged entire food. Chicken was like just mushrooms no chicken at all. Will not go there anymore.

Recently, The quality of the food has gone down!! Kung paw chicken has all diced vegetables and cant find any chicken pieces in it !! Chicken pieces are chopped up so small that cant eat with fork. Cantonese chow mein were dry like eating cardboard. Thai fried rice seems does not have that fresh charcoal taste that used to be there and tasted pale. It seems that food is mass produced and ready to go in 10 to 15 minutes and not cooked to order. Will avoid .

Not sure if they got a new chef but the food is not as good as before! I ordered wings and it s was way too battered, not how they normally make it and they always give me the wrong sauce. Brought it back and when the lady made it all over she threw the food on the counter, not my fault my order wasn t made properly. Definitely won t be returning.

I think they are under new owners now and the food is a little less tasty, but my experience was just not bad like the others here. The inside of the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but even for takeout its still reliable comfort food for me.

Disgusting. Ordered from Uber eats for the first time. They burnt all our rice but then mixed it around thinking we wouldn t notice. It will still taste burnt. You can t hide the taste of burnt food geniuses. How do you even do something like that?!? If a restaurant tries to deceive you instead of making a fresh meal it should be avoided at all costs !!!

TOO MUCH SALT! OR MSG ! Tasted fine going down but a month ago we ordered and my husband was light headed and felt like he had vertigo. We thought it was just ..whatever . Yesterday we ordered different food and today I feel like I have vertigo and have an upset stomach. Sorry but that was my last time, Im not going for strike 3. If you have high blood pressure or you want high blood pressure, choose wisely.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! This use to be my go to place for Chinese food, but this last order was unbelievable! The Beef Ho-fen noodles were a broken clumped up mass sitting at the bottom of the tray, there was not one long flowing strand of noddle in the entire order. have you no pride in your work? how could you send that out to an actual customer. And not to mention the General Tao chicken. it didnt look like the usual style of tao chicken, didnt taste like it, and the pieces of chicken that were in this order, were over battered and all of the chicken was dry, the entire order, not 1 juicy succulent piece of tao chicken. I mean the only saving grace in this entire order was the Hot and Sour soup, which was good but Ive had better elsewhere. on that note elsewhere is where Im taking my business. buyer beware. eat at your own risk......

I ordered Uber delivery from this restaurant this weekend and the food quantity was amazing. The food quality was also good. I will definitely try more food from here.

Hot wings came drenched in sauce. They look like sweet and sour not like the wings from their picture and they are beyond too spicy to eat and enjoy. I like Scorpion hot sauce but these ones are almost Carolina Reaper level. Chef needs to tone it down a notch. Waste of good wings

Im from Etobicoke, and it looks like the pandemic shut down (IMO) the best Chinese spot ever by the name of Far East off Martingrove. NOTHING Ive had came close - til I tried here. Reduce the salt and this place gets 5 stars!

We ordered over $100 worth of food and waited two hours to end up with only 3 items. Thought this was a one time issue last time we ordered as they screwed us over last time but they clearly are unorganized and unprofessional. Wish I could give you a zero but google doesn t allow that. Golden palace was a good spot back in the day but I guess customers don t matter to them. I will never order from golden palace and hope you guys don t get screwed over like we did .

Be careful what you order here, the hot and sour soup had all steak pieces in it, first time seeing it. Their vegetarian Shanghai noodles had shrimp in it. What to say, as the owner said they never make mistake and they always make fresh stuff. Careless cooks and no customer service. Oh yes and they claim that if you have the food after 2-3 hrs, their food will go bad. So eat it all right away and please do not save the food.

Ordered from here several times. We enjoy their food quite a bit. Their portions are quite large; even a single combo meal takes me two attempts to finish so it is pretty much two whole meals for me. Their wings and fried shrimp are delicious. Didnt like their deep fried octopus though

When it come to Chinese style buffet food this restaurant takes the cake. Great quality for the type of food it is. Very good price wise too. We had 5 people there and we ended up only spending 107 before the tip.

My partner and I always go for this place on a take out-delivery for our regular order sweet sour spare ribs , chow mein noodles & rice! They always come early between 20-30 mins!!! Good service it s the older guy and he was very nice ! There was one soup I got which was terrible but other than rice and spare ribs it s pretty good!! Price for the huge portions we get I ain t complaining!!! We have tons of leftovers !!! We also did went in the buffet closes at 8pm. It took them 20 mins to make our order :) so hey it s pretty good.

Prices are about average and the quantity given for takeout was generous but I found the chicken breast dry and it did not taste fresh and was tough. Delivery took less than half an hour so they could not have cooked it fresh. I do not believe they offer a seniors discount on their buffet which Mandarin does so although Mandarin charges more it is not that much more for seniors considering that their selection is 4x what this place offers. So unless you live close to this place I would not go there as a senior.

I ordered through skip the dishes. The cantonese chow mein was the blandest chinese meal i have ever eaten. Meal arrived cold. No taste of salt pr pepper.

Ordered from Skip the Dishes. Found this HUGE beetle while I was eating and almost threw up right there. My whole family is sick to their stomachs. When I asked for a full refund, I was told I would only get money back for the one dish the bug was found in. Steer clear of this place. The complete disregard for contamination is absolutely out of this world.

I placed an order for delivery. The order was delivered in good time but to my surprise there was shrimp, beef and chicken found in one of the dishes, the shanghai thick noodles. When the order was placed I was assured that no meat kind comes with Shanghai thick noodles, only vegetables. I have ordered these noodles many times over the years, and being a vegetarian for over 30 years, am in the habit of ensuring no meat. I called the next day to advise of the error made with my order. After several attempts, I finally spoke with the same person who had taken my order the night before. He proceeded to tell me that he had remembered my order being the last order of the evening and then he blatantly lied about our conversation and the nature of my order. Instead of offering and apology for the mistake, he lied and said that when ordering I did not specifically ask that there not be any shrimp, chicken, beef or meat of any kind, he actually assured me that it came with vegetables only. So why lie? . It was obvious we do not consume meat from the nature of our order and conversation. Golden Palace has lost a customer, I WILL NOT order from this establishment again and I will tell all my friends and encourage anyone I meet not to patronize this establishment. Not because of the mistake with my order or the $14 for the item but because of Golden Palaces lack of Integrity. I do not want to consume anything from any establishment that doesnt know how to treat its customers with care and honesty. I had made three phone calls to Golden Palace (torbram road) to discuss this and still havent heard from a manager or even been asked if there were any food allergies in my family.

If you want to save your money, keep away from this god forsaking place as much as possible. Ordered fried rice and it was saltier than the pacific ocean. The meat was plastic-like and the sauce tasted like blood. You can save your money and buy from many places that have way better food.

Ordered a general tao chicken, was not impressed. I havent had one in a long time so I was looking ffw to it but I was disappointed.

General Tso was very so-so at best. This was a very disappointing visit in terms of food quality. Prices have gone up and food was average. This will make me look elsewhere for my Chinese food.

Just had the worst vegetable soup of my life. Raw vegetables, zero taste, only water and not even salt. Also asked for vegetables in hot garlic sauce and what i actually get is raw carrots and brocolli in sweet water. Some gluey water made with sugar and a little salt. Straight to my garbage. What a waste of money and time!

Ordered from here and it was horrible! The food was extremely oily (noodles and rice) making it unbearable to eat. The chicken balls were also burned and dripping in oil. The only good part about the meal were the fortune cookies in the end.

I usually order takeout which is really good but decided to go in for the buffet dinner this time and it was terrible. It wasnt too busy so the food had just been sitting out which made everything dry and disgusting. When I mentioned it to the server she agreed with me that it had been sitting out but proceeded to make me pay even though I barely ate anything. I tried to order take out instead of paying for a buffet that I didnt eat but she wouldnt let me. Very disappointing.

We used to order from this place for years and loved it. The prices creeped up and the food quality creeped down. Lately, we have given it another try and were hugely disappointed. Spent a big chunk of change for barely edible food. The chicken was so dry and stringy it was tossed in the compost. The noodles were soggy and the veggies were almost all onions and a couple of pieces of celery. The fried rice was ok but tasteless and bland. Dont waste your money ordering this take-out.

Screwd up my delivery order on Easter Sunday and would only right their mistake if I came to get what I orginally ordered. So I was to leave my home with the dish they screwed up on Easter, after waiting an hour for my order, to sit and wait more while the rest of my order gets cold at home? No thank you! 1 star for customer service and messing up our main dish.

The older woman who was there upon pick up May 16 around 6pm was very rude. There was a misunderstanding when I ordered the sweet and sour spare ribs, not knowing that they are breaded (the website did not specify them being breaded). I went back to clarify that I had ordered the spare ribs and not the breaded chicken but the lady rudely said the sweet and sour ribs are breaded and walked away to answer a phone call in the middle of our conversation. This frustrated me because when I ordered over the phone I was put on hold for a few minutes so she clearly was trying to ignore me. When she got off the phone I asked if there was anyway I could just substitute the sweet and sour ribs for the ones I thought I had ordered (turned out to be the honey garlic ribs) but she told me no. It would be one thing for her to say sorry, we cant substitute once the order has been made but she flat out said no, we cant use that food anymore. I understand that I made a mistake in my order but she could have at least attempted to be more polite in our conversation. Definitely not impressed. On top of that once I got home and ate my food, the breaded sweet and sour spare ribs consisted of breaded cartilage. Such a waste of money.

Food is atrocious at this place. They are a dishonour to Chinese cuisine. Everything tastes like frozen boxed food purchased from Costco, prices are way too expensive and the lady at the front is rude. Not sure how this place is still in business, my only guess is that their regular customers obviously don t have tastebuds. They don t deserve any stars! Realistically, their rating should be -5 stars!

Classic Chinese take out. Exactly what you expect. Its not perfect, its affordable take out... and thats what you want ppl. I read some of these reviews, and I like that lady taking the orders lol never had a problem, shes cool. Pay with cash. I love that wonton soup tho, jeez. IF I could change one thing... less bean sprouts.

The food taste like it was made the day before and it was reheated in a microwave. First time I came to this place it was good probably because it was busy the food was fresh. Second time I come they give me yesterdays buffet leftovers. Chicken was soggy and very dry like it would be if you serve yesterdays fried chicken. If this business wants to stay a business it should learn to be honest with customers when selling yesterdays buffet and selling it at full price. If you dont have any fresh cooked stuff inform customers and communicate it, I would have patiently waited for a fresh batch of food. Waste of time and money never coming back again.

We had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience here . We placed a very large order in advance , and specified 7 different times (yes, we counted) that there is an anaphylactic shrimp allergy! The order taker asked us to stop repeating it because she understood. We went to pick it up and AGAIN confirmed that there is no shrimp in the Cantonese chow mein, the restaurant said they understood our numerous requests and that they are 110% sure there is no shrimp . When we opened the Cantonese chow mein- low and behold there was a shrimp. This was a VERY clumsy mistake despite our efforts to tell them about the allergy . We are highly dissapointed as it is a child with an allergy !!! How careless! We are so dissapointed.

It was amazing. Small yet so luxury and relaxing. I enjoyed the food and the aroma of this place. Would love to visit again!

The staff was friendly; however, the food wasnt the best. I found the meats I tried tasted old as if it was there for days (not fresh). All vegetable items were tasty. The desserts were standard ice cream, cookies, cake and fruit (oranges and peaches). I passed on that.

The food was good, however we were told delivery would only take 1 hour but it actually took 2. The guy working reception told us our food was on its way, then 30 min later he tells us its just coming out of the kitchen. Were very disappointed with Golden Palace the service used to be so good but theyve changed.
