Decided to try this restaurant out because the of the good reviews and a friend recommended it to me. I would say that this is not like one of those typical jamaican restaurants. Oaks Kitchen has a good and unique twist. I got their jerk chicken wrap with potato wedges and it was all good. The wrap had flavour and a good ratio of meat and veggies. The potato wedges were nice and fresh. Their soup of the day was Red Peas Soup. I ordered it to try it out since I love a good Red Peas Soup with oxtail and salted beef, the chef made sure to let me know that its made ital and made with cucumber stock. I was nervous at first to try it but once I did I couldnt stop, it was perfectly seasoned and flavored and did not need no meat and the whole cup of soup was consumed. I also tried their fried and jerk chicken. They seem to possibly mainly use white meat which I wasnt expecting as I personally prefer dark meat. The jerk chicken tasted good and the nice side of rice and gungo peas was great which definitely didnt lack any flavour. The coleslaw addition was nice, fresh and crisp. Id definitely recommend trying this restaurant out and I will be going back to try their other menu items.

This place is trash Owner was rude and wanted me to to order but was acting like he didn t need my business Chef was eating on a table and looked angry that I came to order, then he came back to kitchen after I ordered and made my food within 5 minutes and went back to eat. I came inside and asked for jerk pork, I asked the owner if the jerk pork was made on a bbq and he said no and that jerk pork is never bbq. I have had jerk pork made on a bbq grill so I have no clue what he s talking about. Anyways let s get to the food, it was terrible, trash, only thing good was the rice and peas. Small portion, undercooked pork, no seasoning and no sauce, bland, hot sauce was garbage, it was too hot with no flavour. I didn t understand this place, I really tried to give this place a try but it s not good. I don t recommend at all Update - The owner has schizophrenia, my mother has never went to this restaurant and would never have gone there. I have no clue what free sample he s talking about, I bought a jerk pork meal and a kola champagne drink for myself and it did not taste good, I ate quarter of it and threw it out in the garbage. I would never go to a place like this, the owner took 5-10 minutes to calculate the total and count the change to give me back my change. The owner can t count and the chef can t cook, terrible experience. And now the owner thinks I m someone else? Maybe a lot more people complained and he has no clue who he s talking about. Anyways, buyer beware, don t go to this place. Avoid at all costs.

Visited for the first time today must say that the food was very good. Sorry I didn t get a chance to take a picture. I had the jerk chicken meal and my husband had the jerk pork. Will definitely go back. Parking: There is enough parking for customers. We had no issues.

On June 23, 2023, I decided to walk across from the plaza of medical offices and get something to eat. I opened the door and walked in. Immediately, I noticed the atmosphere had bright colours and it was calm. A beautiful woman was pleasant enough to serve me. I told her that I would like to dine in. Since there were no customers, it was easy to find a comfortable spot. I went to Oaks for the first time this evening, great customer service. The food was very fresh and tasty, I couldnt have asked for fresher food They have definitely gained a new customer I love Mac n cheese and I am very fussy when eating it from anyone other than a Scotian or from across the boarder but I will admit, it wasnt too bad, they put their own spin on it, I enjoyed it but would have liked more cheese throughout, after all its Mac n cheese You must give them a visit and keep in mind they are closed Sunday and Monday I finally found a good place to buy some nice tasty fresh food, oh, they dont use a microwave so be patient because the wait is worth it

I ordered through Uber Eats for the first time today, and I must say that I am impressed with the food. You can tell it was made by someone who enjoys catering. I got the curried chicken dinner and fried chicken with wedges. The curried chicken comes with diced potatoes and a side of pepper sauce. The fried chicken and wedges also comes with pepper sauce as well as a sweet Thai chili sauce. The food was still hot by the time I got it too. My only critique is the food could use a bit more salt, but other than that, 5 stars.

This is one of the best Jamaican restaurants that I have had the pleasure of eating at. The food is fresh and you can tell it was made with love. This is my new favourite place to eat when I don t feel like cooking.

I m an extremely picky person and this is my go to Jamaican restaurant 10 times out of 10. Why? Because their food is nutritious and also delicious. The soup is so fire I m thinking about going on a cleanse with their soup for at least a week! Vegetarian options: Super vegan friendly !!!!

I might have bought the food on an off day but I felt like there wasn t enough salt in the food. I got the Jerk chicken meal. The coleslaw was decent, rice and peas was okay, but the chicken felt under seasoned. Saw the high reviews and Im just a bit confused because everyone else seemed to have a good experience.

The food is amazing. I am a fan of the fried chicken and wedges which is made fresh to order. I have also had salmon, jerk chicken and jerk pork which is also great. Eventually my plan is to try everything on the menu.

To start off, Howard is such a nice guy and I felt very welcomed here. A rarity to have a good chat with an owner. Disclaimer: This to me didnt feel like run of the mill Jamaican food. There are traditional elements with some finesse added. For days you want something a little different - give it a try. I decided to go with the Jerk pork, as few places do this. But also - few places do this well. The pork: fairly tender, good char grilled flavour and a generous serving. Id have liked a little more of the allspice and flavours to come through, but solid overall. The rice and peas: basmati was something Im not used to. But I dont mind it. Happy to see them use gungo peas. Coleslaw was bright and clean and I could eat a whole bowl of this. The sauteed veggies on top with granny smith again felt non traditional but I do not mind the value of some extra roughage. The pepper sauce: had a great kick, acidity was there, was also very ginger forward which I found interesting. I will be back to try more and update this review.

Oaks kitchen serves some of the best food in Peel Region, period! The presentation is always very well done. And the taste is absolutely amazing I will definitely keep supporting this restaurant. And by the way, they make THE BEST RED PEAS SOUP in the GTA!!!!

Great for takeout but not dining in, although thats nothing wrong with the place. If you want a more nuanced/fusion style (basmati rice and peas) approach to Jamaican food, then this is your spot.

I had the best fried chicken of my life at this hidden gem of a restaurant. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is top-notch. The fried chicken is a must-try, freshly made to order with a juicy interior and a satisfying crunch. One small suggestion would be to have a visual menu for those less familiar with the cuisine. I have been going here for lunch for a few weeks now and I can say that this place is the best place for authentic Caribbean food. I wasnt a fan of fry foods until I tried Oaks kitchen. The staff go over and beyond for their customers, and makes me feel at home all the time. If youre in the area I would highly recommend trying their food.

I brought my family to this restaurant for dinner. Four of us, me, my wife and our two boys. We indulged in Jerk pork, and jerk chicken dinner. Of all the jamaican foods I have experienced, this one is the best. The food was well prepared and the taste was like nothing we had before. I enjoyed the food immensely. I will definitely be a loyal customer.. One of the other things I appreciate about this restaurant is the courteous and promptl professional service.The presentation of the food was top notch and very appealing to the eyes. Trust me, when you taste the food you will not be disappointed. I will be going back for the other menu items.

I went there on Saturday and bought jerk pork and jerk chicken. Its the best jerks Ive eaten since I migrated to Canada. Great customer service and clean environment. I highly recommend Oak Kitchen to anyone who want a taste of real original tasting meal.

I just had an awesome experience at Oaks Kitchen, 9886 Torbram Road, Brampton. The food was fresh and tasty. I had a special dinner consisting of rice and peas, curried goat, jerk chicken, salmon stuffed with baked potatoes and shrimp and an apple salad. Every bite was flavourful and simply delicious. Very clean restaurant with excellent service.

First time visiting this place. Such a wonderful feeling when you re inside . Makes you feel welcome plus the fry chicken and the jerk chicken man oh man the presentation is just mind blowing, the taste is amazing and to top it off it s freshly done. They care about the customers. I recommend for sure!

The food presentation is eye catching, the kind you get at five stars Caribbean resorts, An Aroma of herbs and spices create a flavour that is absolutely delicious, mouth watering having me asking for second. The fried chicken was so good, one for best fried chicken I had in long time, crunch on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.

I was looking for a caterer for my wifes birthday party and a friend introduced Oaks Kitchen to me. So glad I decided to use their services. I was instantly impressed with the clean environment the moment I walked in the restaurant. The staff went to the venue and setup on time before the guests arrived. The food was excellent, everyone was raving about the apple salad. I could not have asked for better with just about every aspect of the service. Ive been back to see them since for take out for my family and I know many of the guests from the party will. Thank you Howard and staff. I know you will do well.

The food was delicious best fried chicken I ever tasted! Jerk chicken and jerk pork were superb! Definitely recommend this place. Husband said the staff were super helpful and friendly.

Oaks kitchen opened up close to our home and our 12 year old son Izzy highly recommended their food after skateboarding there to get himself an after school meal. He raved about their tasty curry chicken, and stellar customer service. Coming from a Jamaican/Trinidadian household, he is accustomed to eating good food with flavour and heat so we knew we had to check it out. We finally made it there today to try their food ourselves. We bought their escovitch snapper with festival, curry goat with rice and peas and jerk chicken with rice and peas meals. Every meal was fresh, made to order, packaged beautifully and absolutely delicious. The pepper sauce served on the side had a great kick and complimented the food perfectly. Portions were large where each meal had enough food to share into two meals (we are big eaters with large appetites) which was an added bonus. We will definitely be frequenting Oaks kitchen for our favourite Jamaican fusion dishes and highly recommend you check them out too.

Super nice owners, genuinely kind people with great service. Made sure we had a nice place to sit, napkins, and that the food was satisfying. The restaurant was clean and everything was sanitary. The food itself was delicious, would recommend the jerk chicken but there s endless options including veg. 10/10, would go there again with no doubt!

Oh my goodness! Oaks Kitchen - THANK YOU! I just placed a delivery order for lunch (curry goat meal) - and cant even talk because of how GOOD everything tastes. Wonderful flavour. The meat is tender, the rice cooked to perfection. Thank you for coming to Brampton. If you dont live in Brampton folks - its worth the trip. Ive found my new go-to Caribbean spot -100%!!

The atmosphere of this restaurant is nice, clean and friendly. The food is very delicious, I had the Jerk Chicken meal with the rasta pasta. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends, for a very healthy meal, also I would eat there again and again.

Very friendly service. The jerk chicken and jerk pork tastes really good, it has a smokey BBQ with just a good amount of spice. Would highly recommend trying it out.

The best fried chicken and wedges ive ever had. I never eat fried chicken until ive heard about this place. I constantly get asked by my family to get it for takeout. Their oaks coleslaw is amazing. As well as their jerk chicken and ox tail. Their rice and peas is so soft and fluffy. Not mushy like other places. Their customer service is impeccable. Im always greeted with a smile. I will keep coming back here and highly recommend this to anyone!

Im so glad I found Oaks kitchen. The service was exceptional by the owner and chef, they took the time to explain their menu and the specials for the day. I ordered the curry chicken roti dish to go and it became an instant favorite with family. The flavor is authentically Jamaican with the right amount of seasoning and heat. I was really happy with the extra hot sauce, it gave the extra heat I enjoy. I will definitely return to try the rest of their menu.

They have plentiful of vegetarian and vegan options, so dont worry, youre in good hands if that is what you are. I ordered jerk chicken, rice and peas and chickpeas mixed with potatoes. My guests including myself enjoyed the food, a solid 10/10. Theyre a small business, and I am all about supporting the little guys. They arent too far from me either, so it was perfect.
