I recently had the pleasure of dining at Annalaxmi on Highway 410 in Brampton, and I must say, their food is exceptional! I stopped by while installing a CCTV camera system for the restaurant, and the owner generously offered me a taste of their signature dishes. The standout for me was the Cheese Masala Dosa, made in the traditional Anna style. It was love at first bite! The dosa was crispy, flavorful, and generously stuffed with spiced potatoes and melted cheese. The combination was pure magic. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurants ambiance is cozy and clean, making it a great spot for a family dinner or a quick bite. Overall, I highly recommend Annalaxmi to anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine. Be sure to try the Cheese Masala Dosa you wont regret it!

I ve been to this restaurant three times not because the food was good, but because I wanted to see if I was missing out on something great, given its high rating of over 4 stars. Unfortunately, each visit was disappointing. Here s what went wrong: Bajji: It was way too oily. When I mentioned it, they admitted the chef was new. Parotta: They claimed it was freshly made by a parotta master, but it was clearly reheated and store-bought. They said the chef was on leave. Cauliflower : It was terrible. The batter was undercooked, and the pieces were too big, like no effort was put into it. Cheese Dosa: This was the worst I ended up hating cheese after eating it. Idli : It was not hot and was hard. Paneer chettinad : This was the only dish that was good compared to other varieties Madras Fried Rice: Too oily, no vegetables, just few onion leaves were present. The food here lacks quality, and I m shocked by the positive reviews. I won t be coming back.

Today I visited Annalakshmi restaurant for first time and the experience is really amazing. The interior is next level The Mahabharat theme Full on fire !!!!! I asked one of staff members for best appetizer in menu , that thing suggested by her was really delicious .. her name was pavneet , she was really sweet spoken and humble. Overall experience food and staff and environment was awesome

The wait time was 35mins. The person who came to take order was not courteous. Our food arrived one by one. So to eat together our food had to be eaten cold. Over all this is one of those places that has gotten popular and arrogant in time . Please visit if you have a lot of time and patience.

I ve been a loyal customer at this restaurant for years, recommending it to friends and family because I loved the food and service. However, my recent experience was absolutely disappointing, and frankly, disgusting. We ordered Gobhi Manchurian and a Spring Masala Dosa. The Manchurian took 40 minutes to arrive, but that was only after repeatedly asking for the food. And don t even get me started on the cutlery we had to ask for it, and it came only after waiting for a long time. The same goes for the water; it wasn t brought to the table until we specifically requested it. When the Manchurian finally arrived, it was swimming in oil, to the point where it was nearly inedible. I requested a bowl to collect the oil, which just kept accumulating. The server came up with a weak excuse, claiming it was because they had to fry the Gobhi. But that doesn t explain why the food was so drenched in oil. It felt like the restaurant wasn t even trying to make it right; they just expected us to accept this poor quality. We decided to cancel the Spring Dosa, but the server convinced us to wait since it was almost ready. When it finally came, it was just as greasy as the Manchurian. We couldn t even finish our meal and decided to leave. I asked for the bill, hoping for some acknowledgment of the terrible experience, but of course, there was no apology or resolution by the chef. The bill came with only one dish, which at least acknowledged that we didn t eat much. I paid and didn t tip, which is something I never do, but I couldn t justify tipping after such a bad experience. It s clear that the restaurant doesn t care about its customers or the quality of food. I know the owner won t be bothered by this feedback, but they should know that I won t be coming back, and I won t be recommending it to anyone anymore. I m writing this review at 5 AM because I woke up feeling sick from the oily food. I m already planning to take legal action over this unacceptable experience.

This is very good restaurant and food is very delicious. Pappu is a great host and he gave us good information about their food.

Tried their Mysore Dosa and Paneer Bhurji dosa for the first time today. We were served by a genuinely sweet server named Charmi. If Id say I was impressed 100% by the food, it wouldnt be a lie to say that Charmi made the experience 200% better. Her customer service was really top notch. Give her a raise guys!!!! she deserves it! Will definitely come back again

Visited first time to try dosa , They have really good tasty dosa and also server pappu was really good he served in really good manner.

Came back after a year. Service was much better than the last review. The order was taken promptly and the food arrived without much delay. Food tasted good but the only issue I had was the dosa was oily, alot had absorbed into the dosa. Chutneys were tasty as well. You could taste the coconut, garlic and coriander in each one. No doubt that the food tastes good but the service was rather slow. The sambar and potatoes were spicy to my liking. Chutneys tasted fresh. There were only two servers who could not keep up with the kitchen.

Annalakshmi was a decent south indian restaurant few years back. We visited it just recently and it s not the same any more. The food tasted stale, lack of hospitality. A total waste of money. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Almost tried all the items here. Pros are nice South Indian menu and stunning Mahabharat ambience. Only few times I experienced delayed service and bit salty food items: fried rice and poori. Suggestion: water glasses, serving plates and water jugs always have spots- need more supervision on cleanliness. Pappu served me couple of times here. Always with smile and great hospitality.

Annalakshmi is one of my favourite places to eat South Indian food. The deliciousness of the food, oh my goodness, amazing. The service is good as well. So yesterday i went there with my family. We ordered gobi65. Oh my god, the spices and the taste were awesome . Then we ordered some dosa and i tried something new for me which was Set dosa+ chettinad. It was Mind blowing. The taste and the looks. They should add some more drinks but still they got some good ones. I definitely recommend this place to visit and give it a try. Guys, their new ambience is FABILOUS !!

I have complain about your red chutney it s was smelling so bad

I ordered 6 masala dosa from this place and the dosa was oily and didn t taste good and the chutney was smelling really bad. But when I called them about it they kept saying keep the call on hold.

I ordered masala dosa from this place and paid $75 for it, but it was not worth it. The chutney smelled really bad and the dosa wasn t really good either

We ordered 6 masala dosa from annalakshmi HWY10 . There Red sauce was smelling so bad ,dosa was saugy . When we complained about the food the attendant was putting the phone on hold and not taking any responsibility of the food they gave us. You guys need to work on your food and your customer service .what if someone get food poisoning from your food will you take the responsibility? This was not expected from your side we were your regular customer. Thanks

They are a go-to point for Dosa for us. No complaints so far, Best Dosa in town, great atmosphere, great service. Only two things I noticed, eventhough they have renovated the place, but few tables were not balanced , but the food will make you forget it. Second is the water jugs , they had soap stains on it, in restaurant environment it happens but whe you are trying to upscale the place, small things like these really matter. Otherwise for various varieties of Dosa and Service , Annalakshmi is the best.

We ordered Onion masala dosa, butter garlic dosa and paneer bhurji dosa. I had the onion masala dosa. The masala tasted fine and the dosa was crispy and good too but the onion was just thrown over the masala rather than being incorporated in the dosa which i didn t like. The food was good otherwise but the coconut chutney seemed a bit off. The rasmalai was $5.99 but was rather little for the price point. Our server was Papu who was really good in his service. He was courteous and friendly. Shoutout to him for being a good host.

People were crowding the restaurant and it was very uncomfortable to sit at the table... the food was not good at all... the briysni combo was stale.. puri was raw, channa was distasteful... We used to like the food but today it was not up to the mark... very sad state ... ambience poor I have visited the correct location and given the review right.. the wall decorations are not ambience.... the entire atmosphere was bad.. we complained to the servers, and they said they have told this to management ... very very poor response. The food was bad too... The quality has deteriorate... again I am talking about hwy 10 location......

I visited these place and ordered food for pick up I ordered masala chai also but I was in hurry I tried to make tea on one of the table as I ordered for takeout I should have not done it but mistakenly I spilled some tea on table. Masala dosa and some of the appetizers were great! I would definitely come back for that. Some of the other dosas were hit and miss, for example the veggie spring roll dosa was difficult to eat and kept falling apart and the mysore cheese dosa wasn t great. Overall I would definitely come back and recommend to others. Service was good too.
