Will not return. Seated and then waited 20 Minutes until we finally decided to get up and leave. As soon as we got up to put our coats on the server came to the table. Atrocious service. It appears the new servers are very inexperienced in working in what is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant.

Terrible food and service. We went here for a company Christmas dinner and was disappointed. We waited 20 minutes and had to request for a basket of bread (with no butter as they informed us they are out of butter...a restaurant that is out of the basic ingredient for most dishes). I ordered a risotto ($27) and a diet coke ($3.50) and with GST being waved for the next two months they tagged on mandatory tipping which brought my bill to $46.50. This is unacceptable, and we addressed our concerns to the staff they just brushed us off. As we exited, the staffs did not make eye contact with us nor greeted us on our way out. Worse restaurant ever. There is a Tim Horton down the street with better service, food, and of course butter. For those looking for a nice meal, you will not find it here.

Service was very slow. No one came back to ask if needed anything. Had to try and catch the waitress attention. The pasta was tasteless. I have been here many times. Went after Covid and was not impressed. Won t be going again.

The service at this restaurant was awful and subpar from the start. It took an unusually long time for our server to greet us. We had to keep asking for water and bread to be refilled which we only got once. My party and I felt neglected throughout the entire meal and our server seems rushed and uninterested as she failed to check on us. The quality of the food was a major disappointment for me. My chicken was dry and bland, lacking any real seasoning or care in preparation. I would not recommend this restaurant and I wont be returning. Dont waste your time or money, go somewhere else.

Terrible service book 1 week in advance, arrived to the restaurant waited for 30mins. Hostess didn t seem to give a shit so we left.

The whole restaurant is cramped and hard to move, our waiter the tall gentleman was awful, he kept disappearing. I received the wrong meal and almost had to go to the bar to ask for help as most of my table was almost done. There was a younger kid cleaning tables he tried his best to get our waiter. When he finally arrived he fought me over it, saying it s what ordered. I ended up not getting a main since everyone else was about done eating. Food was decent though, when it finally showed up. They charge you auto tip which is stupid, a tip is a bonus not a mandatory fee. Place blows

The best Italian restaurant in Brampton hands down! They welcome you and make you feel like your part of the family We have events there all the time I highly recommend this place for anniversary events! Chris and his staff will take care of you and make special memories for you and your family

Customer service was great and food quality and taste was amazing. If you like rustic Italian vibe, with great staff and even better food...this is the place! Definitely coming back and taking more people.

Made a reservation for ten people 2 weeks prior. The time was for 7 pm. Did not get seated until 8:10. We were not the only group at that time. All had time booked for 7 pm. This restaurant needs to have a better understanding of time management in order to avoid bottle neck situations and to have a smoother flow of patrons. Parking: Very limited number of parking spots available.

Came here to celebrate my friend for her birthday. We made reservations for 7pm and we weren t sat down until 8:15pm. The hostess area was jam packed with no where to stand with comfortable space. We weren t served with drinks until 9pm and when a server came out with food, she had a pimple patch dangling off her face (that almost landed in the food). This is a big health hazard and not appetizing to see prior to eating. I can understand busy work days, but it would ve been a better visit if organization of seating was accommodated appropriately. We witnessed the hostess giving away a table for a couple who had made reservations and was advised to wait outside. When they came back in to see how much longer the wait was, the hostess informed them that their table was given away and the customers were highly upset about this situation. Otherwise, food was good but service was awful.

The food has changed 100%. The last three times even they can t make chicken Alfredo pasta. So upset.

The food is good it is the best Italian option within 15km of the restaurant - but there is definitely better Italian food in GTA. Can get busy and rowdy & the tables are kind of close together. When I went, they served me the wrong main (which they corrected), but I ended up getting mine much later than the others at my table so it wasn t as nice of a sit down restaurant atmosphere as I had hoped.

After spending a week in Italy. The craving for some good pasta dishes kicked in and Antica Osteria satisfied it! We tried their lamb chops with the shrimp fettuccine and it was delicious. There was so much flavour in each bite and the lamb chops were cooked perfectly! We also tried their rigatoni - flavourful as well and cheesy Ravioli - had a slight sweet taste and was creamy, completely finished this dish. It was really good. Aperol and Hugo spritz were refreshing and made nicely. Overall we had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. We celebrated a birthday and they gave a cake slice which was really kind of them.

Waited for 25mins. No point of reservation. Everyone busy and no one to attend. There were atleast 20 people ahead of us without reservation but no one cared. Very discriminating based on color and race. White lady with glasses catered only to her preferred crowd.

We ordered in for a family function, food for 12 adults, service and food was amazing Angela and staff was very helpful, will definitely order from here again. Also will be dinning the restaurant is very inviting

Great Hidden Gem! Recommend the Beef Wellington was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! Servers are also very knowledgeable on wine and so friendly! Kid-friendliness: Servers were so friendly with my granddaughter was a true delight!

The food was excellent! I haven t had authentic Italian food but I imagine this is as close as it gets. The service and atmosphere were impeccable as well. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing, service was great, timely and polite. I got the chicken piccata with the creamy mushroom risotto substitution and it was cooked to absolute perfection! Kid-friendliness: We got plain penne with tomatoe sauce for the kids and the serving size was excellent and it was soooo delicious! Both kids loved it!

I ve dined at this Italian restaurant several times, and I must say the food is absolutely splendid. The flavors are authentic, and the dishes are consistently delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a beautifully designed interior that adds to the overall dining experience. However, I did have one unfortunate experience where our waiter completely ignored our table for 45 minutes after we were seated. It was extremely frustrating and unprofessional, and it definitely left a sour note that evening. Thankfully, this seems to have been an isolated incident, as it hasn t happened again during my subsequent visits. Despite that, I do feel the restaurant could improve in ensuring consistent service across the board. The food remains a highlight, and if the service had matched the quality of the cuisine, it would easily be a five-star experience.

Bought $98 dollar take out meal to dine in! FOOD WAS HORRIBLE! Brushchetta was absolutely horrible. No attempt at making it flavorful. Ordered 100$ platter got a tail and pasta. I came last week for lunch had an okay experience. Food was good. Drinks were great, service was also ok. However, tonight I came by with my family. We were at the front for at least 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Someone asked us to give them a few minutes . Had no idea if that meant a few minutes to be seated, or to be put on a waitlist. After a little more waiting my boyfriend walked over to the bar and asked a server if there was a long wait. She said no, that she would clear up a few tables and would then seat us on the patio. Waited another 15 minutes or more before someone else came and walked us around the plaza to get to the patio. Once we sat on the patio the waitress asked us what kind of water we wanted. She brought back the wrong one. Mosquitos were eating our 6 month old daughters alive so we asked if we could move inside at any point. We saw a table inside in the corner cashing out so figured we may be able to sit there. She said it was part of the large party and we couldn t be accommodate inside. We decided to just go home. I would say that its probably a good idea to call and make sure there are no events going on. I would hope that if I ever go back that the experience is a little better and that guests are welcomed and acknowledged as soon as they walk in. Ive worked in the industry for over 15 years so I understand how it can get but it also helps you see what kind of service you wouldn t want to deliver to a customer.

The food / tap water was horrible. I couldnt understand what the greeter was describing as options of tap water. The serve butter in fast food whipped tiny container. The risotto was watery - I had to stick my fingers in the runny risotto to clean my shrimp, the malibu rum was so watered down with tap water I couldnt taste it.... Will not go back or recommend!

Beautiful place...amazing service...delicious food. We tried lamb chops and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We ordered a Instagram special shareable and the portion size was extremely small. We paid 98 bucks for 2 lamb chops, ok-sized lobster, 2 shrimps and may be 50 grams of Pasta, 2-3 small chunks of chicken and 1 sundried tomato. Service was very slow. Waited almost 15 minutes before the server could come to attend and it was weekday and the restaurant was half empty. Not worth the hype!

Had a lovely catering experience at Antica. Hosted a leadership dinner where we served their chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, salmon, beef, rosé penne, and steamed vegetables. There were praises all around, especially for the portion sizes and quality of food! Excellent catering option for authentic cuisine in the city. Vegetarian options: Eggplant parmigiana was a delicious dish!

The food is always amazing! But the service falls short. They have young waiters who seem to be in a rush to get you out. Especially if youre sitting in the patio in evening. By 9pm they start getting impatient and start putting plastic covers loudly on the remaining chairs. Lessons learnt- 1.Dont sit out on the patio 2.Avoid going after 8pm Am I going again?! Of course as the food is awesome. But Ill sit in and go before their tantrum time:)

If you are a DISCERNING diner; then try Vesuvio or Fanzorelli instead, in Brampton ! Overhyped tucked away outlet; Fair food; overcrowded restaurant; TERRIBLE service and absolutely disrespectful young waitress who cleared our table & got us the bill ! Minimum wait time for food = 40 minutes; 30 additional minutes to even try order dessert ! Finally skipped dessert as no one seemed bothered indeed. Final icing was another 20+ minutes wait only for the bill to come with an obnoxious waitress. What a waste of quality family time ! We paid top dollar for a disgusting experience !! Good Riddance !!

My friend Syanne was a customer was racially profiled and disrespected by the server She order her food and it was salty so she sent it back the person was disrespecting her, when she was leaving the person said dont come back and starting saying impolite things, this is a poor establishment and Syanne needs an apology POOR SERVICE, POOR FOOD AND POOR ATMOSPHERE THIS RESTAURANT DESERVES A 1 STAR RATING MORE LIKE NO STAR , PLEASE FIX YOUR CUSTOMER SERRVICE

If you appreciate good Italian food then then this is a great place to eat! The live music adds to the charisma of restaurant. The staff is very friendly and courteous.

The food was delicious. Our server was very find. The manager or owner (not sure), ignored us completely while interacting with other diners. His words to us were have a good night ladies, as we were leaving. I dont think my friend and will be coming back.

Lovely night at this restaurant. Our server was extremely knowledgeable on both wine and food choices, and the food came out quick, hot, and delicious. There s really nothing else within a 50 km radius that offers food this good.

Apparently this restaurant doesnt understand when youre trying to save money. They refused my wife an appetizer and then charged her double the price for a recommended similar item. She could have had lobster for that price. These people are cooks nt matter how good the food is.

I came here for my birthday dinner with my family. It was kid friendly for my young nephews, had a great variety of food, and the service was impeccable. 10/10.

I hesitate to leave a review lower than 3 stars but my experience the last couple of times has been disappointing. I have been here many times but I was here Mother s Day and then again during the week recently and both times the food was subpar and the service disorganized and lacking. Lobster tail massively overcooked, pasta undercooked and not fresh tasting at all, steak not cooked as requested, multiple waitstaff that needed to be reminded 3-5 times to bring things that were ordered, also butter served in tiny packets like a diner instead of in a bowl odd this was a staple for us but won t be back again. It was my birthday and my family told the restaurant when booking, then told our multiple waitstaff, and reminded them a few times before they brought out a sliver of cake - embarrassing.

The service was very chaotic. Had too many servers and requested additional service but wasn t expecting such a long delay. Had to repeat ourselves many time. For such high prices they should have served extra vegetables/potatoes.

I attended a company party at this place and it was the worst experience Ive ever had. Although the food was at par, the service and management were very rude and unprofessional. The restaurant and washrooms were dirty and the AIR CONDITIONER WAS BROKEN. Will never book an event here again.

I was there just the other day with some friends for lunch, it was their first time there and they loved it. Angela and the staff at Antica Osteria were amazing along with the amazing food. I also have been there for dinner a few times as well when Chris was working and I have to say that they go above and beyond to make your dining experience the most enjoyable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for the best Italian fine dining cuisine in Brampton for sure. Vegetarian options: Plenty of tasty vegetarian options.

Went here for a birthday on a Thursday, to my surprise there was also live music! Staff was excellent and very kind/attentive throughout. The patio was lovely, and someone came to fix the wobbly table very quickly although we didnt mind it. I got the ravioli special and that was wonderful. My partner got a seafood risotto. Both delicious dishes, highly recommended. Probably best to get a reservation, it got pretty busy around 7!

Nice place inside, a bit hard to find as its hidden in a parking lot. Our server was great, very attentive and got everything right. Food took some time but it was worth it as it was delicious. The service after the main meal went downhill. Server checked in on us once and didnt see him again until dessert. They took a very long time to clear our plates, during the main course and dessert a couple of us didnt have forks. Waited for milk after they served us coffee for well over 5 min. Overall it was an okay experience.

I was visiting the Toronto/Brampton area for work and decided to meet here for lunch with colleagues and clients. The food was absolutely incredible and the service exceeded expectations. This was our last stop before heading to the airport to go back home and we unfortunately left one of our bags in the restaurant and did not realize until we were standing in the airport. We phoned the restaurant and explained our situation and one of our servers Ama was kind enough to drive from the restaurant to the Toronto airport to personally deliver our bag back to us. We were truly grateful for how they treated us inside the restaurant and how they ensured we could make it back home with all our our luggage. 6/5 stars

Booked for 13 people for mothers day. Our group felt very welcomed. Service was excellent. Food was also very good. I would definitely go back again. Thumbs up!

Mother s Day was a literal nightmare

Really sad to be writing this as me and my family have been loyal customers for almost a decade. But Mother s Day as absolutely atrocious and enough to make us never want to step foot back in there again. After making a reservation almost a month before, not only was it ram packed to the point I could hardly walk to the table. I was met with yelling waitresses telling me I couldn t bring in my stroller for my infant (on Mother s Day lol) then when we got to our table my brother in law instantly got stung by a hornet on the seat. Our waiter who didn t smile or greet us properly was clearly stressed and not happy. He refused to get us a wine list and after a million times asking for one my mother in law didn t get her wine until halfway through the appetizers. My mother didn t get her appetizer until the main meals came out and my father in law didn t get his main meal until after we all finished ours. Every time we needed something from our waiter he made it seem like an inconvenience and a bother to be there. Every single person who was working had a terrible attitude and looked over worked. So unprofessional and distasteful to ram pack your restaurant chair to chair just to make money and not even be able to keep up with the demand. Simply walking in and out of the entrance was a nightmare because of all the people. The end of the meal my mother got into an argument with the waiter over the bill as he said from The beginning of dinner that we d be able to put multiple cards down. When the time came to do so he gaslit us by saying we never had that conversation lol!!! The way we were treated was appalling. The environment on Mother s Day was a disgrace. I m so disappointed and embarrassed for my in laws because it was their first time and we had said such great things about the place going into it. Don t take on so many tables if you can t keep up with the demand and give good service. People pay for good service and an experience and then you charge 20% gratuity on the bill lol. What a joke.

I have been dining at Antica Osteria for close to a decade now. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The owner is friendly and makes the effort to build relationships with customers. This is one major reason I keep coming back. Over the years they have done renovations to the restaurant and made changes to their menu. I also love that they always have a variety of specials to choose from that change frequently, the food is consistently delicious every time. I often like to begin by choosing the charcuterie board or Caesar salad for my antipasti. For the pasta their fettuccine con un twist with the champagne cream sauce is so good. My go to is penne alla vodka, however, their gnocchi con pera e Gorgonzola is also very delicious. All of their mains are terrific. My favourite bottle of wine is their red house wine. I always end the meal with dessert in which I pair a cappuccino with the tiramisu. This place is perfect for celebrations/hosting events. The staff are amazing. You can rent out the space and they also cater. There is also always plenty of parking available.

I went here yesterday with my fiancé because her mother suggested it was a really good restaurant. She also kindly gave us a gift card for us to dine there. We weren t quite sure what to expect. We went on a Saturday around 5pm. It wasn t packed (yet). Upon being seated, our first waitress was a young girl who appeared to be very miserable. It s like she didn t want to be there. She gave us water, and then our next server (Chris) came. He showed us the specials and then took our order. He was a bit warmer and kind. We ordered calamari as a starter. Here s the thing after some time went by, we saw our calamari coming out of the kitchen, but it went to the table next to us. People who came later, and ordered later. We were confused. As we sat puzzled and without an explanation, eventually another waitress brings us bread. Again, confused because it ain t calamari. I managed to get ahold of the waitress and asked her what happened, she said orders got mixed up. Chris on the other hand came (when he got to us again) and said they Messed up the order. I understand stuff like this happens, it just would have been a common courtesy to tell us that instead of leaving us in the dark. The calamari was good when it came. Eventually the restaurant got really loud because tons of families were coming for dinner. And servers were all over the place. We must have been served by 4 different people, seemed a bit disorganized. We both got their pastas which were just okay. My fettuccine was too chewy. We asked for chilli flakes. Didn t get them. The frustrating thing is when you needed someone, they weren t there to help. Help would only come after a bit of a wait. We got gelato for dessert which also took a long time to come out (not sure why). It seemed like when we would make these inquires we were being an inconvenience (even though as the customers we should have been catered to above and beyond). As my fiancé put it well, They were not hospitable. I thought that was a good way to put it because when you think Italian? Definitely hospitable. But wasn t so much the case here. I will say, it wasn t like people were flat out rude it just didn t feel like they cared as much for us. Which was a bummer. Finally when it came to payment, the same girl who first took our order came to take our bill. When she went to get the machine, Chris came by and saw we had a gift card. Knowing we were going to use it, he took it. And then he brought back another bill, with added gratuity. Like what? Now, of course I would have liked to tip even with the use of a gift card, but adding gratuity without informing the customer you re going to do that is not good practice. Overall, the food was okay, the service wasn t good, and the environment was chaotic. I was disappointed. But it would be nice if they were willing to make it up to us because I would gladly like to give it a second chance.

This is hands down my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place to go from birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, celebrations, and just because ! The food is astoundingly beautiful as it is delicious! The service is beyond what you get at other restaurants. The care for proper Italian cuisine with the Italian hospitality really shines through at this place ! We moved to London Ontario from the GTA, and still drive 2 hrs or so JUST to come to this place ! 5 stars? Its 10 stars worthy! Run. Dont walk. Start the car and start running! This is THE BEST Italian restaurant!

The food and appetizers was ok. Cocktail drinks and dessert was not good but expensive. The food was extremely over priced. They also charged 22.5 % gratuity of the total amount without your knowledge and still ask for tips on top of that. Not very cool. The total amount we spent there was not worth it.

We had made a reservation and upon arrival no one was there to check us in. We just waited at the entrance and all the staff could see that we were there but no one could bother to tell us anything? My friend went up to one of the staff there (has a Mohawk) and he said, we have had so many parties today, just wait and someone will be with you. The issue is not the waiting but its the attitude of that staff member and that one one was at the entrance to the let us know what was going on? As we were waiting a party of 5 walked in, the guy went over to the same staff member and shook his hand, asking if they were busy and if they could accomodate a party of 5 (no reservation). The staff with the Mohawk said, Ill set your table and left right away. Their table was not only ready before us, they even went ahead of us. This was shocking to me! I dont care if a party is a regular to the restaurant but other customers do not deserve to be treated like this. It is absolutely unacceptable. I am SO GLAD that he was not out server. There were two young female servers and they had no idea about how to talk to customers. One of them brought my friend her Italian sausage by itself in a plate, without cutting it. Even though my friend had asked for it to be tossed and mixed in her pasta and the other waitress would come whenever and start putting things down infront of you and picking up whilst pushing the menu if youre reading it, without even saying excuse me. We had wo other staff members who were our servers and they were great! One was an older lady with golden/blonde hair who was sweet and the other was a guy who had a great sense of humor. If it wasnt for them I definitely wouldnt be coming back. The food was amazing!

We made reservations at Antica Osteria for a friend s birthday last night, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we were informed that the restaurant had overbooked and there would be a bit of a wait as there were a few tables ahead of us. While I understand that these things can happen, it was the way the situation was handled that truly soured our experience. The hostess was incredibly rude and showed no empathy towards our situation. Instead of apologizing and trying to make amends, she seemed indifferent to our inconvenience and mentioned other parties had made reservations weeks in advance in comparison to our more recent reservation. After waiting for half an hour without any acknowledgment or a promising update on our table, we decided to leave. Its incredibly disappointing when a restaurant fails to honor reservations and treats customers with such disrespect. As someone who enjoys dining out and supporting local establishments, I expect better service than what we received at Antica. I ve dined at the establishment before and it has never been this bad. I hope they take steps to improve their customer service and avoid similar situations in the future as it is very unfair to their customers.

The food here is good. However, the service was lacking. I went with my daughter on a Sunday and the place wasnt too busy. They seemed to have a lot of wait staff, yet it took 15 of no one returning to take our order that I had to eventually flag someone down to place an order. Although I know we were not in this server section, he took our order but the rest of the meal people avoided our table. I was very disappointed because I have been to this restaurant several times and never had this experience before.

Horrible. Ordered a custom pasta dish. It wasnt the way I wanted it. It was burnt. I asked for them to make it again. They said no and I had to pay for it even though I didnt eat more than 2 bites. Chris and Angela we very rude. Food is too expensive for what you get. There are better restaurants in Brampton for a better price than this restaurant. Dont waste your money.

1st timers and although we had to wait 30 mins for our reservation IT WAS SO WORTH IT. Our server I believe his name was Domenic was amazing, he always made sure we had what we needed. The staff was excellent and we will definitely be back with the family. THE FOOD WAS DIVINE!

Went for valentines day lunch, customer service was great, great atmosphere, friendly and tasty food. They gave all the women roses, and it was just a great day.

We had a dinner with my family. I booked for 6pm but then they accomodated us for 7pm. The customer service was very poor with a bed side manner! When it comes to food it was very pricey, you need to pay the side dish separately from the main menu like for example if you want a lamb with pasta you will pay for the pasta separately. Just four of us was almost 500 bucks!

This place used to be good. But since Covid they lost their standards. I was there recently (January 2024) Service was horrible and the portions got significantly smaller than the last few years despite prices going up. Charging $32 for a plate of Pasta that a child could easily eat. I wont be coming back.

After following their page on Insta for a while now, finally we had our time to drop by this corner in our neighbourhood. Well me and my wife enjoyed the ambiance, peaceful supplemented with some good Italian dishes Finally a drop by dine-in for us in our vicinity. Thank you!

Placed a reservation a day prior and was cancelled a few hours before my reservation I had to call they said it was full and asked me to come 1/2 hour later. Arrived and was seated. The atmosphere was nice and not nearly busy so not sure why my reservation was cancelled. Ordered Caesar salad and lobster bisque. Caesar was very good however Lobster bisque was terrible. I ate a few bites and could not eat anymore. My husband ordered the special steak medallion and lamb with fettuccini I ordered chicken parm and it came with potatoes and veggies asked for pasta aa strange to me that chicken parm comes with potatoes and veggies. Waitress came and said they had no more medallion steak and wanted to charge an additional $22 for another piece of steak!!! We ordered just the lamb. The lamb was tender and cooked nicely however my husband did not like the sauce. Fettuccini was excellent. My chicken parm was very tasty. The fetticini was excellent. We asked for ice several times and it was never brought. Lastly they brought my husband a pane-cotta and it was served on a large wood board. My husband did not like it however I liked it BUT it has a funny taste to it only to realize that the board they used is a charcuterie board hence the reason for the weird taste. We got our bill and were charged an additional $10 per person for the pasta and rather then charge for the special which I had understood that is what I was being charged for there was an additional charge of $6.00 Total Bill $141.00 Definitely NOT worth the dining experience at all sadly. Definitely over priced for the quality of food sadly. Have no interest in going back there again.

We were a few minutes late and they still accommodated us. The food came out very quickly even though they were very busy. Even though they messed up our order, they fixed the issue within few minutes and the food was amazing and well done.

Incredibly mediocre. The charcuterie was mostly inedible with stale cheap cheese and equally stale disgusting cured meats. No introduction to the offerings, so we had no idea what was on the board. For dinner, my date had the rainbow tortellini which were undercooked inside. I ordered the gnocchi with gorgonzola and pears. Many very overcooked gnocchi in what was basically a bland Alfredo sauce that tasted nothing like gorgonzola with one sad chunk of pear mixed in. The server explained that the pears were mostly in the sauce I suppose to try and dispel my disappointment. The biggest disappointment was the service really, feeling unwelcome because they were busy and not being asked if our dishes were alright until the hostess wandered by. Was planning to order dessert, but we were too annoyed. Overall, a bummer for $90.

A little slice of heaven. Such a nice spot to enjoy date night, girls night out etc. The staff was so pleaseant. The resturant was nicely situated, music eas perfect volume. The food wasss amazing. Excited to go back and try the lamb.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and while the service could have been a bit quicker, I understand that it was a busy Saturday night. I did notice some commotion coming from the kitchen, but it didnt detract from my overall enjoyment of the meal. If I had to offer one suggestion, it would be that the restaurant could benefit from more staff during busy times. Overall, I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for some amazing Italian cuisine.

It you are allowed one cheat day to blow off and reward yourself for being good, you had better make it count! Probably my favourite place for upscale Italian in Ontario - Antica Osteria (translates into Ancient Tavern or as my friend, Angela Figliomeni says, private club ). Their grilled calamari a la puttanesca is so special and I ve loved so many grilled calamari dishes. The chicken piccata is so tender and juicy and the breading clings onto that lemon white wine sauce for dear life. The gnocchi is made in-house by Nonna. This is in a Gorgonzola cream sauce with pear. The cheese on top is freshly grated. Now do I go all out and have Nonna s Pistachio Ricotta Cake with an espresso? If Isabella, the Matriarch s granddaughter is your server, don t be afraid to get her to choose your courses. She s lovely and amazing at making you feel welcomed and at home.

Ive been here a few times but went on labour day Monday and it seemed that they were not prepared. The food quality has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY! The service was terrible. 1. Asked for butter - they said we dont have that much so were limiting it per table 2. Asked for a beer and ordered another one - they said they ran out 3. Did not replace cutlery between appetizers and mains 4. Grouper fish was over salted 5. Bread for the table was low quality for an Italian restaurant - grocery store quality 6. Server/hostess girl is rude 7. No AIR CONDITIONING on the hottest day of the summer! 8. Overall food was okay..not worth it for me. Better off going to Fanzorellis or Vesuvio. Will NOT be bringing my family back here again.

I came here with friends to celebrate a birthday. We had a great time. The appetizers and the dish I had were delicious. Im no expert when it comes to Italian food but this was good. The staff were attentive and friendly.

Made reservations before as well. Second time now arrived at the time of reservation only to be told we send you a email to change the timing. Email was sent 10 mins to the arrival date and time. No accommodations and was told you can come back in 2 hours. I will not be coming back. I always try to support local and locally owned.

Last Saturday night was our first time at Antica. Walking in we noticed the music was very loud. The dining room is very nice but way too crowded. If there hadn t been a partition between myself and the gentleman next to me we would have been touching elbows. People were trying to talk over the music which made the volume crazy. It made it impossible to carry on a normal conversation. Carpet and or drapes would help absorb some volume. Our waiter was great and he helped my husband, who has a gluten allergy, with the menu. He provided us with excellent service. You know, even though it was very crowed, it was the noise level that will keep us from returning. Maybe it s not usually that noisy and that was a one off night, I don t know, however for us the noise volume ruined the experience. It s too bad cuz its really a nice place. L & M

Made an online order at 9:20pm and the pick up for the order was for 9:40pm. The restaurant is open until 10. Once we arrived, we mentioned we had a pick up ordered because before we even walked in the women with glasses and curly hair at the front let us know she s not going to accommodate us and we told her we never planned on eating in. After mentioning an online order, she said no you didn t place an order and not until after I showed her the order confirmation did she even want to entertain this conversation as her shift was over but there was 5 other staff members standing behind her which could have assisted. She said we didn t have anything ready and their kitchen was closing soon. Instead of even trying to accommodate or understand she said we re closing in 15 mins and kept saying yeah that s not going to happen today. I didn t argue or even make a fuss, but there wasn t even a sense of compassion in that ladies voice. If you re unhappy with your job in customer service I would suggest getting out of a customer facing role as this isn t for you. Have never tried and will never try this restaurant again.

My husband and I arrived for our reservation, when we walked in a gentleman I thought would be greeting us looked at us as though he was bothered we were there. same person did this the first time I went, I chalked it up to he may have been having a bad shift, evidently I was wrong. A young lady approached us very nicely and proceeded to take us to our table only to be stopped by another staff member who reprimanded her about where she was sitting us. We where directly back to entry where we waited 10mins no big deal we finally sit at our table no one comes over for 15min then we get asked for drinks only to be left unattended no drinks the waiter same person that look bothered we showed up said he would be right with us as hes tending to a group that arrived after us. I was shocked I was able to reserve a table for 6:30 on a Friday that never was the case before, I understand why this may not be a destination.

The food tasted very stale, had flies all over my plate. Unhygienic, distasteful and expensive.

I ordered food for pick up as I have in the past set the time for pick up I should up to no recollection of the order and after almost 45 min of waiting for it and having the owner s daughter explain to me that the order was never made, and that I was lying miraculously one of the young girls there found it and ya it was cold. I was an average customer bin there at least one every couple of months but I have not bin back. Since Workers are great but management is extremely rude and love to dress you down in front of everybody so ya pound salt

Ive been wanting to book this restaurant for about a year now and it never worked out. Finally made reservations to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday. Pros- Beautiful restaurant and great food. Cons- Very few options, costly, customer service is non existent, they charge gratuity 20% regardless of the size of your party unlike most restaurants, my sister had a sip of her drink and didnt like it, instead of getting her another she was asked repeatedly to explain why she didnt like it as if to say she needed to justify to them accommodating the customer. At the end of the night our waitress messed up with the billing there were two separate families one of 3 including a child whom she gave 2 separate bills to!! Yes you heard correctly one to the wife and one to the husband then refused to redo the receipt. If that wasnt enough all payment options werent available and there were no signs or information to advise their paying customers. When it was suggested this shouldve been communicated at the beginning the response was many restaurants do this. As a result of the lack of accountability and customer service I would not recommend this restaurant and will never return. Everyone falls short and makes mistakes however If youre unable to take accountability and put the customer first you are in the wrong business!

if you follow them on Instagram, the hype Isnt real.. couldnt wait to try this place out after seeing all the lovely meals they post daily.. Turns out, those posts arent part of the Manu, in fact I couldnt even order what they had on the menu its self.. my wife took me there for my bday, we had an average acalamari to start, nothing special, she ordered pasta and sea food mix plate which came in decent time, pasta was good, but portion was very small, . I ordered 12oz strip loin steak and 2 lobster tails that was recommended by our waiter becuase they didnt have what they post.. after 30 minutes that past, my wife had already finished her meal while I was still waiting for mine.. another girl waitress came to me to tell me that they didnt have 12oz , they only had a T-bone.. at this point, I was starved, and will eat anything!.. the plate finally arrives with another waiter.. not ours, plate was missing one lobster tale, we were not asked if everything was o.k. because they obviously knew it was a disaster.. but I couldnt complain about the food besides the portions.. over priced for bad service, Cheap location and small meal portions.. Wish I had photos to post.

I ve been going to this restaurant since 2016. I have always loved this place. However today was the first time I ve been here in about a year and it was completely different. The food is small portions and they use the cheapest accompaniment like carrots and peas. No mashed potatoes or even roasted potatoes. I have no problem paying for quality but when you pay $64 for a steak and $14 for 3 pieces of bruschetta, you should also deliver quality. That doesn t seem to be the case here anymore. Unfortunately it seems Brampton is slowly losing all of its good Italian restaurants.

We had booked a reservation for a specific time but still had to wait more than 20 minutes before we got the table. Our waiter was not only inattentive but had the habit of ordering for half of the table, leaving and coming back after several minutes. He straight out ignored several people and had the demeanor that he didnt want to be working there. He perked up when we were paying for the bill and realized that we were forced to pay 20% gratuity. Now to be fair, we had a party of 7 people and forced gratuity is common with larger parties but, we werent notified before hand when making the reservation or even before the service started. Food was alright but felt overpriced. Overall, the whole experience was horrible and I recommend people to stay away until they get their things together. For Context: Ive been coming here since I was a teen and the food used to be quite good. I remember ordering the Frutti Di Mare and blown away by how big the scallops are. It felt rustic but refined. Now, because of the absolute poor service, it feels discomforting. Extremely disappointed the way things have turned out.

Was taken here by my wife for my birthday .... wow, what a night. Food was on point and the staff was incredible. I believe one of the owners was looking after us and she made all thw right suggestions... we had some wine that was imported from Italy, that you cannot get at the lcbo.... its the little things that make yhe special evenings that much more special. TERRIBLE. I have always seen this restaurant floating around on my instagram and I was soooo excited to eat here. When I finally got the opportunity to eat at this restaurant I was overjoyed. When I got here the from the service to the food I was EXTREMELY disappointed. Our server was EXTREMELY rude and short with us when we had questions about the menu his response would be just look at the menu We asked for Lasagna and we were told it s not available. Shortly after we were served everyone else was being served lasagna. When we asked how come we were told it s not available all the server did was shrug her shoulders and walk away. The food was undercooked and tasteless. I wanted to get dessert but the energy I got from the place just turned me off. I asked for my bill paid NO TIP and left. A couple who recognized me from my food review videos was about to dine here asked us about the experience and we told them the truth. They walk out immediately. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I can t. I will never be back and will definitely share my experience with anyone and everyone. Please learn to treat everyone fairly you never know who is walking into your establishment. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible at all!! Tightly packed there is no room for wheelchair users. In all honesty it s a blessing in disguise don t come here!

Ive heard so many good things about this place but I was extremely disappointed last night. The waiter seemed nice at first. We had ordered the LINGUINE CON FRUTTI DI MARE but asked to have it with risotto instead of the pasta. When it arrived to the table, it came with pasta and when we brought it up to the server he said he did not hear us say with risotto when I know we did. He stalled for a bit then said he can get a side order for us which he did but when it got served to us it tasted like they dumped a box of salt on it and the sever never came back to the table to check in. When the bill came, a girl passed us the debit machine then asked us are you leaving soon? We have a line up thats out the door which I found extremely rude. I was embarrassed that I took someone to this place and had such a bad experience. Wont be going again nor recommending this place to anyone

I had my First Holy Communion service held at this restaurant by the previous owners with all of my family, friends, and schoolteachers back in May 2013. The service was fabulous, and the food was just fantastic. I find this place extraordinarily neat in all of its ways. TEN STARS!!!

This is a good restaurant if you come with a small group of people. If you come with a large party they require 20% tip on the after tax amount. Ended up being a mandatory 23% tip on the before tax amount. The restaurant is not equipped to handle large parties. It took about 1.5 hours to get food and then the manager was rushing the party out since they had another reservation at around 2 hours into our reservation. Only had 30 minutes to eat and no time for desert. The bus staff got confused as to what some of the dishes they were serving were called. The bus staff indicated one of the dishes was ravioli and our party realized after it was a tortellini so we ended up doing a swap of food. It would be good if they staff were informed what all the dishes on the menu are. It would also be good if they staff could serve the food to the person who ordered it versus asking 13 separate times who ordered what. It would have allowed our party to continue talking with each other. A deposit was required which created a lot of coordination by our group as to how the individual bills were going to be paid. We did ask if we could refund the deposit and then every person pay individually, this was not an option because we didnt have deposit receipt since the deposit was made over the phone. They do need a better system to handle the deposit as the server had run into this issue before with handling the deposit on the bills. The server did their best, the atmosphere is nice and the food is delicious. Good for groups of 2-4 people.

Food was AMAZING! This was my first time here and the service was amazing and I recommend! I talked to Isabella to make the reservation and she was so nice and sweet! Isabella and Chris were my servers best service I ve ever got! She always checked up on my table and made sure we had the best of our night!

I have waited 2 years to try this restaurant and we made a reservation for dinner 4pm, as my Birthday dinner. When we walked in we were addressed by a tall, brunette woman with glasses that was making drinks and she made us feel like we were bothering her as our reservation for 4pm was going to be pushed back a further 20 mins. What an experience and I didnt even make it past the bar. We felt so bad that we left , thank you for the great experience. I guess the other reviews are true.

Arrived just after 4pm for our reservation, but was told to wait an additional 20 minutes due to a private party. There wasnt a waiting area or anything. Not even a give us your number and well text you when a table is ready. Honestly, it felt like we were bothering them. It was my sisters bday and she wanted to try this place for a couple of years. I ended up taking her to the Keg down the street which ended up being a great experience. However, Ill never try dinning at this place again.

I came with my friends for dine in. The environment was good. Their service was great. The guy with a tattoo served us. He s very polite and experienced. He suggested us some good wine and dessert. We ordered pasta for main course, it was good. It was our first time and we really had a great time.
