Waiting 35 minutes for two juice and sandwich

I ordered chicken shawarma wrap. There is so much discrepancy in their prices. Their website says $10.50, and the server charged me $12.20. When I disputed it , she showed me the menu on the counter to verify, where chicken shawarma was $11.90. I disputed again and their are 3 different prices for the same wrap. I asked to speak with the manager, who apparently was not their. She said shell call. She went to the bacl of the restaurant and came back after a minute or so. She then said that she spoke with the manager (which was a white lie Becuase the restaurant isnt that big that you couldnt hear a conversation) and the price increase is due to inflation. Also, that theyve ordered new boards and everything to make the restaurant look better. I politely asked her that shouldnt the change be made on the website and paper menu first and then the till (system), she said she doesnt know. Then she asked me if I want my shawarma or not to which I replied no and asked for money back. She said she cant refund me. Hence, I was forced to take the wrap. It was am awful experience. Theyve lost a regular customer.

Too much waiting time and rude behavior.

I had ordered vegan plate for take out and i had to wait for more than 35 minutes. Server was pathetic and she had super bad attitude. One customer was waiting before me, hence, i went and stood up in a queue, she called me before and i politely ask her to complete the other person s order upon which she told me that he is just waiting for his food so you come first place the order and pay for it. Of course this is a restaurant so everyone will be waiting for foot, however, this is completely inappropriate where you are makes someone feel disrespected and beggar. I wonder how this restaurant owner is catering this kinda staff. I am terrified one day that server will shut down the entire business of the restaurant owner. Most pathetic service i have ever seen

Traditional bowl was made with very little toppings. Meat did not taste fresh. Called to ask for some type of compensation or credit and the person working did not want to acknowledge my complaint. Will not be going here again. You lost a regular customer.

Ordered through uber eats, food arrived quickly, securely packed, and still at the right temperature. The veggies and ingredients in their rice bowls and potatoes all tasted fresh and well made. Turmeric rice is also a very nice option for those with bowel issues. Look forward to ordering from here again, keep it up!

We did the catering order and ordered Chicken Shawarma and Falafel platters. Excellent service, fresh ingredients and falafels were one of the best I have ever had in the past. Chicken was fresh and flavourful. Also, must try their garlic potatoes if you love garlic. The packaging used to pack the food was of good quality and did not bend or loose its shape while transporting. The foil lids were thick and sturdy. Very important for me to have good packing so I don t spill or dirty my vehicle and make a mess. Thank you and will definitely return.

The food quality of this place has really gone down since they opened. Ordered a salad bowl and chicken bowl today. The lettuce was completely welted and brown and the server didnt care to change it before preparing my food. Tomato and cucumber salad was discoloured, both welted and not fresh. Sumac cauliflower was foul to say the least. Absolutely no salt and flavour in these meals. Wasted $30 only to throw the food out anyway because the quality is just trash now. Would not be ordering from here again.

I came to garlicky and I got 3 rice bowls the total was $51. When I got home we realized the chicken was was so spoiled, it smelt and tasted horrible. We came back to the store at and spoke to the employee which was so unprofessional. She didn t use any gloves when making the food and she did not give us a refund. We asked to get a refund but she said the manager was not there, we called twice and the manager still isn t there. We left the food and didn t get our money back. I ve emailed them and they said they will not be giving a refund. This is the most unprofessional customer service I have seen.

Ever since I ate here this week I been having stomach issues. Not the best place to eat.

I booked them to cater my sister in laws 40th on March 2, 2024. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was so helpful upon delivery of the food. Everyone at the party asked who the food was catered from because it was that good and fresh. Will definitely be ordering again

They gave us the wrong order. And it tastes like Indian flavored food: beets were cooked like curry, eggplant dish is actually eggplant curry and the rice is turmeric rice. The garlic sauce is too garlicky (no pun intended lol). And dont even bother drinking their lentil soup...it tastes like watered dahl. It didnt taste like Mediterranean food whatsoever.

The best food, best employees, and amazing for delivery too. Its not cheap for sure. But you re eating better and healthier food than almost any shawarma spot.

Spent $65 in getting 3 bowls and 1 shawarma wrap. I find this to be very overpriced considering that the meat was not fresh and the potatoes looked about 2 days old. Shocking that this place has as many good reviews as it does, when I can tell you that authentic places prepare food in front of you. I will say that the toppings were fresh, no doubt about that. But the meat, potatoes, and rice were absolutely not made today.

Chances upon this location whole in the plaza and was pleasantly surprised. Nice, welcoming interiors compliment the fresh and healthy food giving a good vibe overall. Horrendous food. Tastless flavor for falafel. Falafel was served ice cold. Falafel should never be pre made. Pita bread was served cold and when made hot, it became like a brick. The entire food was bland without any flavour. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Wont be returning.

I had a very bad experience there I went there specially for Lentil Soup. It was not in labanese or Syrian style I never had it that way in any meditranian or middle eastern resturant that way. There sLad bowl with pomegranate chicken was just ok, I wish they can improve the food quality so we will able to have good meditranian food near us in Brampton.

Ordered lunch here: chicken wrap, with the drink & dessert combo for an extra $5. Had the mangoade and mini-baklava bites. Cashier also threw in a small cup of the lentil soup as a complimentary item! Food was very fresh and lots of toppings to choose from in the chicken wrap. Everything packaged very well for takeout.

This is for me the best Shawrma place in Brampton. Food is always consistantly good and always has good service. They make Authentic Garlic sauce(Toum) which most place dont make. I always get the Shawarma family Platter to feed my Family of 5 and never dissapointed. I always order the chicken shawarma bowl when i am on my own. I love there chicken, turmeric rice and also like there have all the salad fixing

This is not to sound mean but to share some constructive criticism. 1) When advertising chicken shawarma, please be prepared to serve authentic ingredients, flavours, and presentation. 2) As a Lebanese person/Chef, I can honestly say that the place has no real concept of what mediterranean food is. It seems Western/Indian inspired and that put a huge downer on my expectations. 3) A chicken shawarma can be often served with French fries. I understood they had garlic potatoes and I settled for the substitute. However, one standard spoonful was a whopping $3 extra which would probably total 40grams at best...not sure where these potatoes are coming from or which 5 Michelin star Chef cooked them but that is flat out robbery. 4) The complimentary lentil soup was nothing short of flat, flavourless, and wrong. I tasted the heaping amounts of cumin, and more importantly, the uncooked lentil bits that I crunched on. When making a lentil soup, you have two options...either served as a puree, or with a flavoured broth with whole cooked lentils. Ground undercooked lentils left with chewy bits is not acceptable. 5) Whats with the plastic visors/shields? Covid is done and the communication between myself and the attendant was very difficult. Overall, you need a proper menu with a proper chef that specializes in this kind of food. Your shawarma is not shawarma, and the flavour profile is completely wrong. If you want to succeed, please make these changes asap. And, please taste your food before serving. Also, cooking with water under a lid is no way to treat your proteins when cooking on the flat top. This is straight up lazy and incorrect. You are stripping all the flavours away when using this technique. Finally, please revise your pricing, you are very overpriced for the kind of food you are serving. I would rather drive an additional 20mins to get a proper shawarma sandwich than to try this again.

Pleasantly surprised! Ordered the chicken salad bowl yesterday. it was loaded with fresh veggies, & beans. Several sauce/dressing options to choose from as well. Also a small lentil soup include in the combo. Less than $12(including tax) You don t see prices like that these days, so filling and delicious .

Used to go all the time and had to stop for health reasons... The worst and cheapest types of oils are used to cook the greatest food! Its such a shame So many fresh ingredients and otherwise this place is great unfortunately they use the cheapest and worst oils to cook with for your health causing inflammation... Will gladly return when they use the right type of cooking oil... Recent research conclusively shows youre better off smoking than eating inflammatory seed oils

This place was excellent. TL;DR: tastes great, good pricing. One of my gripes with some of these places is that everything tastes like everything else with overwhelming garlic. This place is different. I could taste each component of my dish and each was great! They were fast, friendly, accommodating and the manager even called me back to see if her employee answered my questions satisfactorily. The food was delicious, the meat tender and not dry, the sauces and sides to my liking. The lentil soup was small, and bland but also free. Think of it as a palette cleanser! Even the kids meals were perfect! I tried a chicken strip and have to say they do a great job. The garlic potatoes are the right size, generously portioned and not overly garlicky. Despite their name they are very competent with a good balance of flavours. The place looked clean and staff were very attentive. The food well packed with all cutlery a good amount of napkins and bags were even stapled shut! The takeout containers were really strong and lids stayed on very securely. I would go again in a heartbeat and look forward to a full proper reopening post pandemic! edit: What a difference a year makes! This place has gone downhill fast. I can only assume the original owners packed up and sold. Food quality was poor. Meat tasted like scraps from yesterdays leftovers (this was at 5PM). Portions were about half of what they used to be (I got the double protein bowl) and this is across the board on the other items as well. The various sauces etc. were all just jumbled together into a soup. The falafel was a crispy ball of bread crumbs. Be careful for getting the optional add-ons, because in the process they will short you on the other quantities. So disappointing. This place held promise.

I ordered Shawarma bowl, this is not how real Mediterranean food taste like. Shawarma chicken was just chopped chicken cooked in pan with some spices on it. Garlic sauce was terrible. I have been eating chicken shawarma from very long time and this is one of the worst. Note: If you are used to of eating authentic Lebanese food, don t go to this place, this is some sort of fusion to fool people who don t know anything about shawarma. I will never go back!

Me and mum were in the area and looking for halal place for lunch and Garlicky Grill showed on our search. They specialize in Mediterranean food and we ordered their Chicken Shawarma Salad Bowl as well as Chicken Sharwarma Pita wrap. The food was phenomenal, all the toppings for our salad bowl and wrap were really fresh, and their portions were very generous. We live at the east end but wish they were close so we can visit them more often. If you are looking for healthy options to eat then this is definitely the place. Also 5 star to the amazing service, their staff is very kind and friendly, since it was our first time visiting they really helped us in our selection. Overall a great and healthy experience, I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Being a vegetarian, I enjoyed the traditional bowl today with compli lentil soup. I think it was fresh and yummy and made my tummy happy. But apart from this, what else can I try next? Any recommendation for vegetarian people as I feel your menu is very limited for us. I would certainly like to come back for the freshness, great packaging and taste.

Everything s so fresh and healthy. I have tried shawarmas in Mississauga and they all are almost the same, having the same spicy flavours and fillings. What makes Garlicky different is it s authenticity of flavours and the freshness of ingredients used. Best part: you won t feel guilty eating out cuz it s SO healthy. Their salad and bowls are so tasty and fulfilling. 10/10 would recommend.

Just tried it and we were definitely impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the fresh taste. Beats many of the Mediterranean restaurants in the area.

Stingy with the toppings, you can tell they slices the tomatoes SUPER thin and even then put only a few. Also a teaspoon of feta costs an extra $2.. lol. Forgot to add falafel to our order as we specified, and the pickled radishes are super salty, whereas the potatoes have no salt. To add, the guy took off the bread from the grill with no gloves. The seating atmosphere was nice but no music so kind of awkward. And honestly the meal overall is not that good.

Big Zero for Customer service. When I was about to pay, I realized I forgot my wallet. Yes, it was my fault, but refusing to give food even after I promised to pay in 1Hr , was not in good taste at all for a $10 wrap !! . I didnt look like a homeless person at all . My uncle owns a restaurants who fed needful people , students during Covid , all year around for Free. I know it doesnt make any difference, but you lost a regular customer forever , HAVE SOME HEART !

Feel the place is little expensive as for all the basic items like potatoes/avocado/pita chips, it s extra charge. Other shawarma places give it as part of the bowl. The soup is actually included in the chicken bowl but the person did not ask whether I need it or not. Only when I asked about the soup, she gave half bowl. Not coming back to this place.

The food is fresh. The vegetables sides are plentiful compared to other restaurants. Their bowls are a great size for the price. All in all its great quality place.

First time trying the place. Customer service was really good, but the food was sub par at best. I went at 12:30 and had a shawarma wrap with falafels. Though veggies were fresher, I found the chicken very stale and dry. It seemed like it was cut before they opened and left in a heat tray, which is very unusual for a shawarma place. The sauces were very bland with very little flavour. Most shawarma places that are very good usually shave the meat when you order and the sauces are usually bursting with flavour. The falafels were the saddest part. Not only were they premade before I ordered and on a hot plate, you could tell that they mustve been frozen before hand made somewhere else or if not than they were definitely from the day before. VERY STALE AND DRY. I had to drink lots of water to get them down and were like room temperature not even hot. Very disappointing for the price I paid. Definitely would not go again.

11 of us went together to dine in on Saturday around noon and the staff was efficient, friendly and nice. The food selection was good, tasted delicious and was a good price. We would definitely come here again!

The food was average, the tabouleh salad wasn t good at all, it didn t taste at all like how it s supposed to taste like. I had an amazing first time experience at Garlicky. I was hesitant at first since I enjoy eating at Lazeez/Osmows. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a polite and friendly employee. I told her that it was my first time and she gave me a thorough breakdown of the menu and selection. She also offered me a complementary lentil soup which was exactly what I needed on that cold day. The price of the food was fair. It was cheaper and healthier than what I would get at a typical shawarma joint. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to eat a whole meal filled with lean protein, good carbs and veggies. Edit: the employees name was Aman. Thank you for the service.

Just for context - I ordered the shawarma rice bowl with all sauces and like half the veggies. The taste is not bad, I still enjoyed it however for the price it is hard to justify. It tastes like any regular chicken on the rocks at any shawarma joint with veggies. I have to say I am most put off by the portioning. Like some of the previous reviews say barely any chicken I would have to completely agree. Watching her put the half scoop of chicken in and watching her spread it across to make it look like it was enough was almost kinda insulting. It was probobly the least ammount of protein I have ever had served to me at any similar food establishment. If you ask for tomatoes she puts, literally not even a word a joke, 2 half slices. The fact that I kept feeling like I had to ask for more of each topping is off-putting as a first time customer or any customer really. * Also an important side note - feta, guac and chips are EACH 2 DOLLARS EXTRA to add* It felt even worse being told that once I watched how..ungenerously... She treated the rest of the portions. I would come back here as a quick bite if the portions were better but for a 15 dollar bowl (with 1 deluxe topping- feta). I cant ever justify doing that. Especially when the protein is the most important part and I get more at about 3 different locations I can name off the top of my head in the same area. I review new places for fun and again the taste is alright nothing that will blow your mind. Chicken on the rocks with veggies Sauces are good though except the hot sauce 3/5 Would be 4 if portioning wasnt this bad. EDIT- after owner reply Im going to just go ahead and change my review to 2 stars. Just because your chain standard is 6-8 ounces doesnt mean your employee working there may be adhering to such policy. ( I definitely did not recieved a heaping spoon full. Like my review previously stated it was probobly half the spoon full because I was there watching it happen. I would monitor the employees to see where the disconnect is. If there are over 4 reviews claiming the same thing, rather than give a generic response to a review, diligent behaviour on the side of the owner would have been preffered. Defending using policy is a weak defence to a poor experience. Especially when the review is based around that fact. Also some quick math - 10.75+ 2.00 ( 1 extra deluxe topping) + 0.13 on tax bronge you to about 14 bucks and some change. NOT WORTH IT FOR THE PORTIONING I HAD RECEIVED, regardless of what I was SUPPOSED to receive.

They put a unique spin on Mediterranean food thats unlike any other place Ive tried. I tried the protein bowl and was pleased with the portion size , quality and flavor profile. I met with one of the owners at the store who was happy to tell me about the origin of the company and share samples of other things in the menu. Looking forward to coming back soon!

This is a hit and miss. The first time it opened it was always so great. Recently,(I had my first bad bowl maybe in May or June) the pomegranate chicken tastes a little off. I had about 4 bowls that were bad since. I m wondering if you guys are doing something different now... It tastes like the chicken is unseasoned and too gamey . It doesn t settle well with my stomach. Are you able to kindly look into this as it might be a new employee cooking? It s definitely not as consistent when it first opened.

I have to say, I love this place. Travelled here all the way from Cambridge. Food is excellent and the staff even more so. Will definitely be my first pick when in the Brampton area.

We had the chicken bowl! It had everything possible! Was the most healthiest meal one can have ! It tasted amazing! The rice were super tender, the chai chicken was phenomenal, and the other toppings went so well with the dish. The portion was a very good size! Two to three people can eat, depending on their appetite. Definitely a great place for great food! Customer Service, wonderful! Friendly! Prompt service and with a smile! I will definitely be going back!!!

The food is great - the meats are delicious and so is the Falafel; good variety of toppings that are fresh and of highly quality. Their cookies are addictive!! The prices are very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Also, the place is immaculately clean!

I had a food pick up I waited 30 minutes for a order and she made me wait and served the other three people. She was slow on organized and I asked her why dont you traine your employees that where watching not doing anything. I believe she didnt care and was presideche towards me. I will never go back to that place again ever. I rate her minus 5-

Chicken in Sharwarma wrap was cold. Toppings are great. I wish they had fresh off the vertical rotisserie chicken instead of grilling the chicken like they normally do. Takes away from the authentic crunch and taste from the chicken

I have ordered from them 8 times now but never ate in. They have become my go-to order in place. When they first opened their food was off the chart good but lately it has just been ok. It seems to be losing flavor and freshness. Im not saying the food was bad but certainly not up to the standard they set when they opened. My only other complaint is they are closed Tuesday! That is my work late day and stopping in there would be PERFECT!

I ordered here today and I m so thankful there s finally a real Mediterranean place for salads. Chains just never cut it when it came to healthy options. I especially admire the branding on their packaging. The food was delicious, well seasoned, the meat was tender, the vegetables were crisp and all the sauces created a wonderful experience! The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. Can t wait to order again!

-This place is actually a REALLY good substitute for Osmows or Lazeez since its boring to have only two places dominate the mainstream mediterranean food sector in brampton. Service is clear and concise and operates like subway which Is nice. Went here with my friends and got a rice bowl with chicken and the rice blew our minds. The sauce they used on it was unique and we loved it. The chicken is juicy, tender and fresh and when you combine it with the white sauce and hot sauce on the chicken and rice it is amazing. Defintely will reccomend to mediterranean food lovers who are looking for new restaurants.

One of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. This restaurants in my area and i wanted to try it out with my friend, we both got the steak and chicken shawarma, and were absolutely disgusted by the taste. They for sure do not use fresh ingredients. The steak and the chicken tasted raw and Moldy. Even their falafels tasted a week old. As you can see in the Picture, I individually ate a small portion of all the toppings I got and concluded they arn t edible. I spit the food out for the first time in my life, yes it was that bad. After eating I went back and showed my bowl to the restaurant and explained mine and my friends experience with the food. The restaurants manger Aisha could care less. She did not want to believe us, even though I had two full bowl of uneaten shawarma. I requested a refund but was not given one. The customer service was also very poor. My next steps are to ensure that no other customer gets to eat their raw food, I will be calling safety inspectors and hopefully after that their food will be satisfactory and won t get anyone sick, just like how I am right now writing this awfully long review.

If I Could give them 0 stars I would. I bought 2 bowls with my friend and unfortunately it doesnt taste good as it looks. it was so disgusting I wouldnt give this to my worst enemy. I felt very sick and wanted to vomit the couple of bites I took. I went back to the restaurant to get my refund. I told the supervisor in-charge of how sick I felt and something was wrong with the food but instead of giving my money back or placing my food he told me and friend that maybe there is too much flavour for you. if you care about your well being DO NOT COME here.

Great food! They use fresh ingredients, have a really great homemade garlic and hot sauce and the turmeric rice is absolutely amazing and always soft and flavourful. The chicken at times can be dry (we have tried both options on the menu) however the bowls ingredients and sauces make up for it and goes unnoticed. I ll be back soon!

Ordered takeout. The food was delicious and the container and presentation was thoughtfully done. The portions are massive, can last two days easily. This is my new go to for Mediterranean food for sure! More notes:: I personally didnt like the lentil soup, didnt have much taste. The two types of rice were both great, you can get both types so I suggest doing that to mix it up. The food has a lot of salt so if youre intolerant to sodium, dont eat everything at once.

First time there. Will be definitely going back. We ordered bowls with rice and chicken shawarma. I was curious about their pomegranate chicken shawarma option, lady was kind to put some on the side to try. It tastes awesome will be my bowl next time. Really good size portions and so many topping options. The regular lettuce tomato olives but also tabouleh, red cabbage, pickles, beets, chickpeas, guacamole and more. Great options! Garlic sauce tahini and really nice hot sauce. Great flavour and heat. Ive never mentioned cutlery and containers in my food reviews before but even that was really good and slightly different. Great flavour and good heavy portions. Lady also offered soup samples with our meal. Great service, really good food and cool twist on shawarma with some options.

I am surprised to see some of the negative comments as my experience has been nothing less than amazing! Having first tried Garlicky months ago, I have since recommended this restaurant to all of my close family and friends and they all love it! I personally always order the Falafel bowl and my husband typically gets the chicken shawarma bowl. My son (who is only 2) also really enjoys the kid-sized chicken shawarma with turmeric rice. Their garlic potatoes are also very tasty! Top reasons I love their food: 1) Always Fresh and flavourful 2) Love the fact that you can choose your toppings 3) They are very accommodating with any special requests and have great customer service 4) Portions are huge for left-overs the next day

I tried Garlicky Mediterranean Grill after looking at the reviews, the food tasted great and you get large portions for each bowl, good value. The only thing I would improve on is the lentil soup, just like many other reviewers, it tasted like oily water, I think part of the problem is, because its a lentil puree soup the pot is probably not being stirred properly before being served so you end up with all the lentils puree at the bottom of the pot with the water/oil floating ontop and that is what is being dished up, otherwise everything else is delicious.

I have had four chicken rices bowls from Garlicky. The bowl is very filling and the toppings were fresh. It tasted great every time. I would recommend trying this place out.
