This place is so underrated?! I came here this morning and the place was tidy and neat, the workers were so lovely, and the food is amazing! Definitely coming back and referring to friends, family, and colleagues. If you want a variety menu, want to try something new, and would like some good quality food you should visit this restaurant!

Friend and I went here for the 1st time and let me tell ya, this wont be the last time. This is our favorite go to spot for fish and chips from now on. There is an option for lightly battered, and then the regular battered. We chose regular and were not dissapointed. We also got the pumpkin spice funnel cake and it was also amazing! Service was amazing! Definitely a must try.

We got take out. Fish was overcooked and overpriced. It was kept under the heating lamp which made it tough. Maybe dine in would be better? The tacos are ok. Fries are ok. Soggy.

Ordered 2 Haddock and chips takeout today. Both Haddocks and chips were overcooked and brown. It was not chewable at all. Bad experience for the entire family

Got takeout today There is almost no fish, it s all batter!!! First and last time I get anything from here. And it cost $36.15!!! Should be ashamed of serving this to our community Never again

Hit or miss for take-out. Family of 5, so with tip thats over $70. Sometimes you get really great fish. Flavourful, right amount of batter, not oily. Sometimes the fish is super dry, over-battered, and super oily. We can never get good chips here. Brown, soggy, mushy, way too oily. Not sure how often the oil is changed but it leaves a nasty taste in your mouth that lingers. Chips should be yellow/golden and crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. Not brown/burnt, oily, and soggy. I miss Mimis Fish & Chips.

Been here a few times and each time it s been excellent. They have great fish and chips not to mention the funnel cake that we always get for dessert. It s a great environment and service is always outstanding.

I cannot stress enough how amazing this place is! 20/10. Camera wasnt quick enough to snap the delicious fish but this gorgeous funnel cake on the other hand had to be shared with yall.

Harbourside Fish and Chips is my absolute preferred fish and chips shop, and in my opinion they are the best chippy in Brampton! Dean and George who do the cooking are top notch and Helen makes home made desserts to die for! Id highly recommend Harbourside, but for the best experience you have to dine in at the restaurant. Its no wonder this restaurant is a favourite with people from the east coast of Canada and the UK! Great quality and decent prices!

The funnel cake not worth the price $15 very small portion not sure if they were running out of ice cream but it was very small dont recommend it for 2 dollars more you could get way bigger portion at Demetreries

The fish and chips were good. When I walked straight in from the door towards the front I was immediately told I was in the takeout line. (There was no line). They charge an extra dollar to dine in . I thought with all the bags and napkins and plastic cutlery and wrappings and containers for takeout would be more expensive than me using a washable plate & fork, plus I tend to tip well when I dine in. I was the only one in the dining room so maybe they dont like to use it... I will never know as I was just visiting the area.

Worst customer service. Place was not busy and yet the attendant was rushing me. No utensils or sauces.

If you like Tasty Fish and chips then you need to try Harbourside.

Harbouside fish and chips is the best. Before Harbourside we went to Heritage and there is no comparison. The atmosphere is excellent and their food and service are extraordinary. They are the only fish and chip restaurant in Brampton that we would go to. They make you feel like family.

Good-sized haddock but it was very oily and heavily battered. Very salty but not much flavour otherwise. Wasnt allowed to sit down and eat because I asked for it to go, even though the restaurant was mostly empty and I didnt need to be serviced.

Good place but not the best in my professional opinion folks! I found their batter rather thin and soggy in the middle sections, not cooked long enough or in oil too low in temp. Fish was good but smallish portions in both fish and chips, chips were good though not dried out or soggy as though they were actually cooked to order and not sitting around in a bin! A bit pricey though could come down a few dollars for their fish n chip order! I found the fish pieces a little in the small size, like it s one filet cut in half! Give the customer their moneys worth and a bit more for repeat business less begets you less!! Good fishing folks! Parking: Plenty of parking at lunch times, surprisingly the place was not that busy for lunch time kinda concerned me about quality or something else, know what I mean, but it was ok but not great! My star rating is honest to true! Cheers!

Excellent local chippie. Ive tried both the traditional fried fish and the grilled options. I prefer the grilled version of the fish. My favourite is the popcorn shrimp. To me this is the show stopper on the menu. I also tried the pies, I wanted the steak and kidney pie, however, I ended up with a steak and mushroom pie. That was a bit of a bummer cos I dont like mushrooms. All-in-all, my experiences here have been pleasurable and I will definitely continue to patronise this place.

Usually the food here is fabulous - Ive been coming here for years. Service is always great and friendly. Im guessing theyve changed their supplier for the pies - I had a steak & kidney pie last weekend and by the time I got home it was basically pastry mush in a tin pan. No steak in it - it was just a congealed mess of lumpy gravy and soggy pastry. I didnt even finish eating it. Im hoping they return to their old supplier, and then Ill come back. :)

I ve been coming to this place since they opened, but today I decided to try the fish tacos with the chipotle sauce and they did NOT disappoint!! I think I found my new favourite!

Food and service was excellent.

Weve eaten from here multiple times and love their food! The customer service is great as well, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The halibut is really good, pricy but worth it. Their lunch special is also a good value. I took away one star because we tried the shrimp tacos and felt that it was too small for the price you paid for them. They have a huge dessert menu as well, but we havent gotten a chance to try anything other than the rice pudding, which was delicious. Cant wait to come back again for our next meal!

Always order through Skip for my usual meal. Thought I would enjoy my meal in the restaurant. Service was amazing, incredible food and freshly brewed coffee too.

I never used to eat fish and chips regularly till I tried Harbourside. Literally the best fish and chip youll ever have. Everything on the menu is fantastic. The fish, the chips, the gravy, deserts, even the chicken sandwich. Anything you order - you cant go wrong.

Halibut is perfectly done, and their homemade onion rings are amazing.

Had the haddock and chips, the fish was really good, the batter was light and super crispy, with big portions. Staff was lovely. Will definitely visit again.

Updated 8/31/22: My fav fish and chips joint in all of the GTA. The fish is fresh, cooked perfectly, and not oily, its like magic. I love their tartar sauce too. The staff have been friendly and helpful each time Ive went, the waitress today was so accommodating and friendly. They also have some great lunch specials and wide variety of interesting desserts. The interior decor is also awesome as they have pieces from actual boats (at least thats what Ive been told lol). Also, the place is very clean and they sanitize well. Definitely recommend.

We just discovered this hidden gem! It was amazing! My boys loved the funnel cake (half the price of Canadas Wonderland) and I enjoyed the deep fried mushrooms. I cant wait to go back for fish n chips. Very clean (spotless in fact) and the service was impeccable. This will be our new fish n chip place from now on.

Very dry halibut & for the $20 I spent on an order of halibut & chips it definitely was not worth it! I wont be back!

The first time I had halibut and chips from there, they were freaking awesome! The second time was good but not awesome. The (halibut) was not as thick, kinda dry around the edges and the fries seemed different. My daughter orders from there quite a bit and my first time was with her, the second time I was alone. Not not sure if familiarity made a difference...or perhaps who is working in kitchen at the time. I WILL definitely try again and hope for an experience like my first time.

Came here all the way from Scarborough with my fiancé! We both got single portions of the halibut with chips and a gravy. The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was delicious! He got calamari to start and finished every piece! I also got a side of coleslaw and it was soooo creamy! Our server was a delight, were so happy and satisfied with our meal but so sad that we didn t have enough room to try the funnel cake!!! We will definitely make a second trip back!

My first time going to Harbourside I only got the funnel cake.... you know that feeling when you try one thing from a place and you just know everything else is going to be good? Yeah that! The red velvet funnel cake was delicious and I am not a fan of red velvet anything! I just had to go back and try their food and it did not disappoint! This is my new favorite fish and chips spot and I recommend you try it for yourself!

Went here after treetop trekking and boy, we were all surprised how good this place is. The interior decorations remind me of the local shops Ive been at in Nova Scotia, that sea side vibe. The fish were crispy on the outside and moist inside. We had haddock and basa. Home made onion rings are amazing, ate them all before I could take a photo. The funnel cake, the best I had. I always had them at Wonderland, CNE, and center island. Haboursides are not overly sweet, they even put Oreo chunks into the batter. Prices are perfect compared with the places Ive been at downtown Toronto. Def worth the 20-30min wait!

Lovely seafood joint we found close to home. Plus funnel cakes hello!!!! Kind staff, clean facility. Got the coconut shrimp, fish and chips and fish tacos. Everything was delicious, fresh, and had generous portions. Got a classic funnel cake, omg YUM. They also have other desserts you would find at a fair like deep fried oreos!! We will be back.

I am new to Canada and have been on the hunt for a fried fish joint. The reviews for Harbourside were so good that I just had to go out of my way to find a good Friday Fish Fry, place to make my own...unfortunately, I was disappointed. The prices are exceedingly high and for the price you dont get much. The single portion size was good and the taste was ok, but for the same price I would have expected a 16oz steak. A single piece was all I could reasonably afford. Sorry, still looking for my forever fish home.

Im not a fish and chip person but my family loves this kind of food. They thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Good portion size and good price. Didnt eat in and ordered it for takeout. The staff seems really friendly. Would recommend and come back instead of the other known fish and chips place.

Definitely not worth the $50 for 2 people! Halibut was tasteless and overcooked and looked like a battered overcooked chicken breast!!!! Honestly I could have gotten better fish from the McDonalds down the road!

First time visit. Ordered Halibut and chips, mozzarella sticks as an app. Fish and fries done perfectly, crisp, golden brown... great mozza sticks, served steaming hot. Staff was very quick and friendly, even though they were fairly busy, very clean and organized. What really stuck out was the portions (my local fish and chip shop could learn from these guys, you will walk away full!). Cant wait to return soon and hopefully dine in and enjoy a cold one with my dinner. Great experience, highly recommended. 5 Stars all the way.

My family and I love fish and chips, we have been looking for a good place to have fish and chips and what do you know? We finally found the perfect place! Harbourside is by far the best weve ever had! This is our 2nd time eating here, first time it was for my lovely wifes Birthday, and today the 24th of July for our 16th Wedding Anniversary!! Great Halibut and chips! You guys really hit a home run, thats exactly how fish should be cooked, the taste is awesome and mouth watering! Great and friendly staff, keep up the awesomeness! Clean, nice decor, friendly staff but the fish and chips are the same as any other restaurant.

I was really looking forward to trying this place after seeing the great reviews. The service was nice, but unfortunately my haddock was overcooked. The edges of the fish were dry and tough to chew on. Maybe I was there on a bad day, but I purchased 2 haddock and chips and both servings of haddock were overcooked.

$21 for a very dry piece of haddock, when I paid for halibut. Batter was good. Fries were good. Gravy was 4/5. Coleslaw was an extra dollar and terrible. I only came because of all the good reviews. That s the worst. When you get lied to. If you ve ever had some solid fish n chips this place will only disappoint

First time going here because I usually go to Heritage which is now closed. Very good shop. Lightly battered fish with good flavourful halibut. Homemade onion rings were fantastic. Big plastic shields for COVID purposes.

Fish and batter were delicious but a bit greasier than I like. Service and food were good, but the server kept bad mouthing another local establishment which is the reason for the 3 star rating.

Ordered halibut fish & chips and slaw! Delicious! Fish & chips were large portions and crispy. Batter was perfect! Hope they will one day have an oil n vinegar slaw option but the current one is very good. Beautiful decor and very friendly staff! Highly recommended!

SUPER WARM AND WELCOMING. Staff/waiters are very nice and caring! The unit is well decorated with its seasonal theme. Food was served fresh and fast, also the desserts had a beautiful presentation!!! This is place is seriously under rated!
