Mandarin Restaurant in Brampton

Atmosphere was great and definitely great place for large gathering. Service was great!

I emailed Mandarin about this but they dont seem to care what their customers think so I am publicly sharing my experience We always come to Mandarin at least 2x a year and always in mid December on a Saturday for my birthday. We are used to 5 star service at Mandarin Brampton, never ever had a complaint which is why we keep coming back but December 14 was different The restaurant was absolutely chaotic like a zoo. We made reservations a month ago and we werent given a proper table with the proper chairs (that are covered nicely with chair covers). Instead we were given a crappy round table with an ugly table cloth and ugly looking chairs partially in the entrance leading to one of the dining rooms. In addition - the server never asked us if we wanted to order drinks nor did they provide hot towels until we asked for them. The refills of water by the servers were also very limited. We are also very used to the buffet food items always being filled but on so many occasions MULTIPLE dishes were empty including noodles, chicken wings and even broccoli (really, a healthier item like Broccoli was empty). Also I took a piece of tiramisu cake for dessert and it was still FROZEN!!! The Lemon Chicken that I took also had no flavour. I am terribly disappointed in the service for my birthday. We pay good money to dine out and when we experience service like this, it makes us want to reconsider our dining options

Vegetarian options: I enjoyed the beans and mango salad as an appetizer, which was refreshing and flavorful. For the main course, I had a delightful combination of vegetable noodles, crispy vegetable spring rolls, and perfectly boiled broccoli served with a tangy plum sauce. When it came to dessert, the options were abundant, ranging from cookies to pudding and an array of cakes, making it a sweet ending to the meal.

This used to be the go-to Mandarin. I was so disappointed during my last visit to see how much the quality went down. The hostess was a bit rude to my friend but fortunately I had the pleasure of speaking with another hostess who was super sweet and I really wish I had taken her name down but I was a bit annoyed by how that first hostess was speaking. Even the waiter for my table was a bit rude, rushing us to pay the bill. Secondly, the food. Very bad compared to other locations. Not all of the food tasted this way, but a lot of items tasted like it was freezer burnt and heated up. My table barely ate the food, just felt like a waste of money.

ALVIN really appreciate the above and beyond customer service to our group. Love Mandarin but this was my first time at the flagship location, and would highly recommend it - particular for celebrations and large gatherings. Excellent canopied parking roundabout at entrance for young children and elderly, inside really feels like a special destination, and food and service was outstanding!!

Wow!, this is the biggest Mandarin Restaurant I have ever seen. Food is good!

This location used to be really good but now the service has turned out to be very bad even if you made reservations they make you wait 20 min then they seat you at a table where its hard to push your chair back as there is another table right behind thats not even the bad part was getting to the buffet and having to line up for almost 15 min to grab rice and noodles most trays of food were empty and not being refilled. This should not be happening on a saturday evening. Moving forward I will not be going back to this manadarin not worth the $43+ tax you pay.

Good fun, good food. Christmas time so extra busy but the workers are super fast at keeping dishes filled and water cups too.

Entrance of parking lot was an excellent light show. The food from beginning to end was excellent, and they even had PIZZA ENJOY TO ALL AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THE YOUR STAFF AND TEAM MEMBERS THAT MADE OUR DINNER EVENT A EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. THANK YOU FROM THE CORVETTE CLUB OF ONTARIO.

I participated in the 45th anniversary draw as one of the semifinalists from Markham East branch. It was fun and we had a great time with the hosts and other semifinalists.

Had many family moments at this location and as always, it has been fantastic. Recently , we celebrated my mothers birthday and had the pleasure of being hosted by Cindy. She did a wonderful job and was extremely polite and kind! Thank you to Cindy and the team for always giving the best experience!

Horrible customer service, reservations mean NOTHING at this Mandarin location. Nor are they considerate to their senior customers.

Not pleased with their service at all. They ruined my wifes birthday. First we called wok of fame to ask about the birthday discount. They made it very clear that in order for the discount to be valid there has to be three other people besides the birthday person. However, there was just three of us. Me, my wife and daughter. So, we decided to call Mandarin (this location) to see if its the same. The girl who answered the phone just said for us to come in after we told her about the birthday and that it is for three people. When we got there everyone was very nice, seated us, near the end sang happy birthday. However, when we got the bill we were charged for three people. We called the Manger to explain that the employee who answered the phone failed to explain that its the same as Wok of fame and three people additional to the birthday person had to be there. The manager started to raise their voice and rudely walked away. This is VERY DISAPPOINTING as this is the location we had our wedding. We even tried explaining this to the other employees and they ignored us. My wife did not get the birthday discount even though it was the staffs fault they couldnt even compensate for their error. Just wondering why they bothered singing happy birthday and taking pictures knowing they are not evening discounting us... They are very money hunger and dont care about pleasing their customers. Will NEVER COME TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN!

Been here three times, amazed every time. Delicious. Attentive staff.

Your foods have too much sauces on them. The salmon had way too much teriyaki sauce. The plates are not taken from tables. Washrooms are not that clean. Your green tea is disgusting it tastes like horse pee and smells like a barn . Your white Sangria is watered down. We were a group of 20...food selections is very large.

Very clean, respectful, and attentive services here. Really enjoyed my time here. Will be returning.

This Mandarin at Steeles and Hwy 410 n Brampton has never disappointed so far. Food is always fresh and tasty. Service is great, ambiance is very lively and wine is always on Special:). Visited for the Moon Festival with my family and we all left contented and happy.

First time at the head office location. Everything was great and the staff was unbelievable.

We have been in many buffet style restaurant, BUT we have never been received like this before. Holly and the rest of the team were incredibly professional, sympathetic, welcoming and service oriented as humanly possible. The place is cleannnnnnnn and welcoming, we even spoke to the manager / owner ? The quantity and the quality of the food is humongous and soooo good ! We recommend this place 100% !

We went to the Mandarin on Biscayne in Brampton a birthday. The waitress was very nice and even told us that we could get the birthday persons buffet for free by filling out the birthday sign up. The service was good even though it was busy at the restaurant. The food was great with lots of selection. We did notice that the cake selection is not as varied as it used to be, but the ice cream selection is still great. The buffet is a bit pricey, but for a special occasion, its worth it. Kid-friendliness: I noticed several children of different ages in the restaurant. Booster chairs were provided for some very young child. Wheelchair accessibility: One person in the group used a rollator.

It is the best restaurant

Took our kids for lunch, our twin girls 9th birthday. Staff gave us a photo and a song. Overall great visit. Kid-friendliness: Happy Birthday song and treats for the kids.

Take-out service was fine, as to be expected with take-out but the food was terrible. Nothing tasted fresh, the gravy for the chicken soo guy was inedible.

I see the efforts in trying to improve their service! One of the managers came to the table to greet my family members and the managers were present on the floor. Our drinks were never empty and plates were cleared promptly. Staff were also friendly and treated my grandma very well (it was her 95th birthday). I m impressed and will visit again! Kid-friendliness: Many food options to choose from for children (pizza, french fries, noodles, and ice cream)! Also, they give away cotton candy when you exit.

We celebrated my dads 85th birthday on Saturday, November 2nd, with a group of 16 people. Our waitress was very pleasant and demonstrated excellent hospitality skills. However, we did not receive enough rounds of water service. One of our guests had to wait and try to catch someones attention, and eventually, another guest had to call a waitress from a nearby table to get water. Why the 4 stars. Still great experience extra attention to large reservations would leave a 5+ star experience.

Amazing service, good location, staff were so nice especially our server Holly, she is so accomodating and friendly.

We drove 2 hrs with a booked reservation and called to let them know we would be 10 mins late due to traffic. They gave our table away even though they said it was not a problem. Very disappointed as we were here to celebrate my 80 yr olds grandmother birthday. The staff had no consideration and said we d have over an hour wait.

We recently came here this past weekend and let me tell you the food was mediocre everything tasted bland and with that extra $1 charge for this location it is not worth it! My husband got sick from eating the short ribs, I tried it and it tasted like it was sitting bleach or some type of cleaning product. So gross! We thought there would be more food option but the only difference with going in during dinner was the prime rib roast which wasn t even worth it. Go during lunch if you don t care for it. But I would never go back to this location. Service was friendly though.
