Tropical Escape was everything I hoped for. The home was cozy with a great view. The staff was always helpful and made sure I had a great stay. I highly recommend it!

I regularly have been here for eat in and take out. So far our experience has always been a pleasant one. Food takes a reasonable time to come out and quality is great. I will say the prices are a bit higher so a lower price would be better. But overall we have had numerous positive interactions with the owner and good experience with the food. Will be back again.

Tropical Escape food flavour wise, is on point. Fried rice and meat options taste really good and that has made a repeat customer. I m giving a 3 star rating due to the portion size of the meat. I ve had food from there 3 times recently and when I got home and opened the container I felt very deceived by the meat container. I feel it s deceitful to line the container with broccoli and then place just a small portion of meat on top. The first time I thought it was a mistake but after my last order I realize this is how they do business. If it s meat and broccoli you re selling you need to say that on the menu, or offer customers a broccoli free option even if you charge a higher price. Either that or at least cook the broccoli with the meat so it seems like it s a part of the dish.

I just came out of hospital and feel like eating some good food. So I ordered some chicken fried rice and chicken chowmein . First the chicken on top was so dried like it was sitting all day out. And 2 pieces of chicken was on top. Like they had run out of chicken. The rice had no taste . All I can taste is the soya sauce . The chowmein was so soft and clumpy . Again it was drenched with soya sauce. I am very disappointed. I mean I spend my money and it s only fair I get the value for my money . Disgusting food

Update : these people dont even reply to their reviews so clearly they dont care. Was good but... DID THEY CHOP THE CHICKEN ON THE RICE? As me and my kids were eating there was a lot of little bones and my kids were biting on them while chewing their rice and choking onln them while swallowing their food! So unsafe. My kids are 2 and 3 year old. So disappointed in that but other then that the food was good!

Recently ordered my dinner from Tropical Escape Restaurant through Uber Eats and I was thoroughly impressed. The Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Chowmein was best in flavors with a perfectly mixed with other ingredients with some veggies and generous pieces of chicken. What truly stood out was the quick delivery service; it arrived at my doorstep piping hot and in record time. This made for a fantastic dining experience, and I couldnt have been happier with both the taste and the convenience. Outstanding food & amazing service. This restaurant has always maintained the standard of the food. Any food item ordered be in Dine-In or Takeaways, never had any complain on anything. Never thought of such cool experience of takeaways here. Variety of options like the Special Chicken Fried Rice, the Jerk Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Fried Rice, Shrimp Fried Rice, and more which actually make them authentic South American Restaurant. Two things is really good about this restaurant. One is their location right in middle of market area and another is closer parking. Quickly picked up Special Chicken Fried Rice and Pepper Calamari, time to deliver the takeaway was less than expected and no comromise in quality at all. Purely customer satisfaction and very much suggested & recommended.

I ordered a vodka and ginger and it was two sips, they don t understand how to serve mixed drinks, they have slit of beers etc but no wine coolers, not a good place for drinks beside beer!!!! Very disappointed !!!

Ordered food. Lady on phone said 25 mins will be ready. Got to the store in 30 mins cashier said your food will be ready in 5 mins. 10 mins later I ask when said another 5 mins. Im still waiting.....god knows when Ill ever get my food. Horrible communication with customers.

My husband and i came here to get a quick dinner. They were absolutely amazing people! We became friends with the owner and a regular customer we felt like weve know them forever! We had a couple of drinks with them too! The food was fresh and amazing! Originally when we called them they didnt answer but the owner called us back within two minutes. I cant express how amazing the food and service was!! Enjoy your meal when you come!

I been there a couple times now they have great Guyanese West Indian food. The special fried rice and the peas and rice were on point.

Had delivery through uber it wasnt the first time but after today it will be the last! Ive always ordered their tropical fried rice which is generally good. It is always a large serving and very balanced with the meats. Today I ordered their general Tao chicken it was the absolute worst Ive ever had!! If I wanted a bowl of broccoli I would have ordered that because that was what was delivered. These people think theyre slick putting the equivalent of a head of broccoli at the bottom of the dish then a sprinkle of mostly batter in sweet sauce on the top to represent chicken! It was disgusting! Its one thing I cannot condone and that is inconsistency. Absolute disappointment. Im giving 1 star just for that chicken I mean the broccoli masquerading as chicken! A waste of my money!!!

I ve been wanting to make a review of this place for a long time since I always order from them. Their Chili Fish is my go-to dish from this place, they never disappoint. It s tasty, not so spicy and not at all bland, the cook definitely needs pat on the back. I ve ordered many dishes from this place and they always taste so good!! Just a suggestion, try switching up the ingredients from the same battered item with chilies, veggies and onions.

Drove 40 minutes to get into Brampton and made the biggest mistake of ordering Tropical escape for pick up. When placing the order I specially told the man on the phone that they were notorious for giving the smallest portion sizes and requested that he made sure it would be ok this time. He promised it would. I ordered 3 pepper shrimp and 3 house special fried rice. When we went to pick up the food the first time they gave us the wrong order. 10 minutes into drive back home they called us and said they gave us the wrong order. We went back to exchange the food. When I finally got the correct order and drove home for 40 minutes we had our biggest disappointment yet. There was nothing special about the fried rice at all. Literally nothing in the rice but soy sauce, and it had a piece of chicken on top of it. But the worst part of it all was the pepper shrimp. It looked like someone must have ate half the order before they realized it was the wrong one and exchanged it for ours because the containers were NOT EVEN HALF FULL. It was ridiculous how we paid 100 dollars for the worlds smallest portions and crappiest fried rice. I was embarrassed for even having brought that home for dinner. I thought the family might have thought I ate half the pepper shrimp on the drive. I would never ever ever recommend going to tropical escape. By far the worst food place in all of Brampton. The owners should be embarrassed, I don t see this restaurant lasting much longer. Bunch of drunk aunties and uncles were outside being super sloppy and the place did not look welcoming at all. Truly a disappointment

Ive ordered here many times.. I placed an order through skip the dish and paid for items that were never sent with my order! I had to report it through skip the dish but this was the restaurants error NOT Skip the dish. Pretty disappointing when their dishes are not cheap. Will never order from here again.

Tried them out the other day when they had a special on a tray of chicken fried rice with chicken on top. Very tasty and fresh food - it s crazy how much food we were given for what we spent. Definitely going to be trying this out once again in the near future!!

I just ordered from here for the first time through Uber Eats and i had to go out of my way to make a review! Thank you Tropical Escape for such a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed how crunchy and favourful the seasoned fries and wings were and most of all the the shrimp! Omg the Escape Spicy Shrimp was FANTASTIC! I will be ordering again so and visiting in person once things open back up! I highly recommend!

Unbelievable. I called today May 10th 2020 at 6pm placing an order for a half tray of fried rice, and 2 pepper shrimp and the host who answered the phone stated that the food would be ready for 7pm. We arrived at 7:05pm to pick up the food and was told it would take 15 minutes. I waited in my car and called back at 7:35pm to ask if the food was ready and the girl who answered said oh whats the name of the order and she could not even remember that i was just in the restaurant a few minutes prior asking for the pick up... and the host then said again it would be another 10-20 minutes because they have a lot of catering. I asked the girl if that were the case, why not call the customer to inform them they were running late and rather than offering a solution, a discount or an extra item she simply said Oh so should i cancel the order? would you still like it where I then replied did you even start the cooking. It is 1 hour and 45 minutes later and the host had no problem cutting me off to get me off the phone. If you are going to order food from this place... order at 1pm maybe they arent as busy.... because waiting for 1hour and 45 minutes and not even being informed is unprofessional. I was originally ok with waiting the 1hour because I did understand they were busy but not having the respect to call a customer to inform them that the food was running late. If i wanted to wait an hour and 45minutes for my food I would of just gone to the Keg....

Purchased a tray of chicken fried rice and low Mein Chicken was not cooked properly near the bone was red uncooked Chowmein was tasteless and this too was hard needed to cook more The fried rice had no veggies was just blah no words to describe Waited outside to pickup for expensive tasteless uncooked food Will never buy here again

I ve order from here a few times last year but this year, I ve frequented here a bit more than I use too. Every time I receive my dishes, they are well prepared, well seasoned and HOT! The portions are great for sharing. I ve recommended this place to a few people and they too are satisfied with the service and quality of food. A forever customer!!! I recommend the Escape wings, chicken/broccoli and the Chilli chicken.

I m not the one to critique a food restaurant but after this service i had to. I ordered rice and peas with jerk chicken. The spices used to make the jerk sauce was terrible, the rice was overly cooked and tasted stale. I wasnt able to eat the food, with no taste, spice or seasoning what so ever. Cheers to trying new Caribbean/West indies restaurants(i ll stick to Bakers or Portland jerk when craving). I m surprised at the ratings, 4.0 is a quite high for a tacky restaurant. Yuck

I called Tuesday and placed an order for pick up that my parents got. Ordered two chicken fried rice and one chicken chow mein all with chicken on top. When I got home and took some food out, the food looked like it had nothing inside, even when you dig thru the rice you dont find anything, hardly any carrot or bora or green onion. Barely any chicken in the fried rice and no veggies but a few lame pieces of cabbage. I initially thought, maybe I ordered veggie fried rice with chicken on top but after digging thru the rice I found a piece of chicken. The food was very salty. It was basically a container of rice cooked with soy sauce. The chicken on top was average. Nothing special. I dont think I will be returning

Very dissapointed with the food. I went there today for the first time , the restaurant is well kept and clean that I must say but the food was not good! I purchased chicken fried rice with cut up chicken; first of all the chicken look and taste as if it was refried, it was not fresh at all , the rice was oily and didnt taste fresh either. The majority of my food went in the trash, waste of my money I will not be going there again thats for sure!!!!!!

I notice that the owner posted a good message for their own restaurant here, but good God, trust me, this place is TERRIBLE. I am also a born and raised caribbean woman, too, so I definitely know what Im talking about here! Firstly, the prices are absolutely outrageous for the amount of meat in the dishes. Yes there are the carbs and veggies, too, but what are people paying for? The MEAT. Being stingy and putting two tiny pieces of chicken into a ten dollar roti dish is just unthinkable, yet this is what my friend received in her dish the day we went. My dish was also a chicken roti (I think I got as many as three pieces), and let me tell you, I have never had such a disgusting tasting roti in all of my life. The roti itself was hard, cold and overcooked. I had to chew for a long time before eventually spitting it out. The curry chicken filling was EXTREMELY bland, and worse yet, the chicken tasted boiled and had an unpleasant odor, as though it had been sitting out all day, which it might very well have been. Lastly, the two big women inside who were serving that day, were engaged in a noisy, deep conversation when we came inside, and took ages before even greeting us. I come from a caribbean country where this kind of rudeness is just not seen, because the people are friendly and smiling and EAGER for your business! Hell, anyone trying to sell something to you should be like this. These women barely looked up, and took our orders with scowls on their faces. They slapped everything into the containers and didnt even thank us after we paid. Horrible experience! Definitely bad enough for me to tell everyone to boycott. You failed miserably guys, sorry to say. I hope you improve if you want to stay in business.
