Soups, vermicelli bowls & stir-fried dishes are on the menu at this simple Vietnamese eatery.
Great food for a cold day. Generous portions especially for items like pad Thai
Great food. Small strip mall plaza. Store recently renovated.
This is what other restaurants are missing not only the quality of the food was mind-blowing presentation on point but when you eat take out or go out to eat the food brings a sense of happiness and a reminder of that cooked meal you as a child you once had you can taste and feel the love they put into making the meal truly excellent each bite and portion size enough to take home and reheat it up thank you for your delicious entrée and reminding us what good food supposed to taste like and the love you put into every dish
I have gotten the rare beef pho. Deep Fried spring rolls, and fresh salad wrapped rolls. I love this location I have been here many times. The staff and the women who I believe owns the place are very nice. Would recommend the best pho in my opinion in Brampton.
I recently had an exceptional dining experience at here and I just have to share how great it was. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic meal. The grilled pork with steamed rice I ordered was absolutely delicious—cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. It was clear that a lot of care went into preparing the dish. But what really made the experience special was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt well taken care of throughout my visit. Their genuine care and enthusiasm were evident and made the meal even more enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall positive experience. It’s evident that this place takes pride in both its food and its customer service. If you’re looking for a place with great food and a genuinely pleasant atmosphere, I highly recommend checking out this place, It’s definitely worth a visit!
My nephew and niece treated me to dinner last night. I wanted to eat Vietname food and we decided to eat here. The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived as there was a Sweet 16 party going on, plus a few tables with large groups. We ordered 2 plates of Spring Rolls (shrimp and pork). They arrived pretty quickly and we tucked in. For mains, I got my usual rice Vermicelli with grilled pork, my nephew got some Fried Rice Noodles with Vegetables and Beef; my niece ordered steamed rice with grilled chicken and fried egg. My niece loved the fried chicken and the egg dish. The other dishes were good. We felt there could have been a little more grilled pork and beef in our respective dishes (noodles and vegetables were plentiful). The service was very good. Dishes came out fast and the waiters were pleasant and efficient. Update: my nephew left his wallet behind and we realized several days later. They were really nice and honest and when we called, they told us they had it. Wow, we were so impressed with their honesty. 👍👍
OMG, I'm so happy that I found this place... I moved in down the street about one year ago, I understand they were closed for awhile due to a Fire... I see all the amazing reviews, so I had to try it. Today I got 1 & 63 to go, the owner, Peter treated me to some complimentary Tea while I was waiting, it was great! I got home and my Spring Rolls and Pork / Shrimp / Egg Fried Rice is AMAZING!!! I'm definitely going to have enough for another meal tomorrow... I'll definitely return here soon with my friend to dine in!
I’ve been coming here for 15 years at least. I was so sad when they closed, but they have finally reopened! The renovations look amazing and the food is just as delicious as it always was. My favourite dishes are the deep fried wontons, Vietnamese fried rice, spicy pad Thai and rare beef soup. Can’t wait to come again soon!
The food at Pho Peter is tasty and overall satisfactory. However, I have a significant concern regarding their payment process. It seems the restaurant inconsistently accepts credit card payments, and nine out of ten times when I dine in or order takeout, I am only informed that their credit card machine is out of service at the time of payment. This lack of transparency and reliability creates a challenge for customers who rely on credit cards for everyday purchases. Unfortunately, this inconsistency may lead me to choose other dining options in the future. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue to ensure a more convenient experience for its patrons.
The best Pho food in Brampton
The place was nice and clean. Went during at night during the weekday so it wasnt busy which was good as well. They give you a tablet to look at the menu a paper to write your order down. Ordered the Goi Cuon and Pho Tai. Food came out quickly and portion sizes were good. Definitely will go back again!
Past by many times. Finally made it here after their renovations. Decor was ok,.seating did seemed a bit cramped. Many seats available on a Thursday night. We sat down and browse through thd memu quickly. After we wrote our order, the server didnt look up or check on us for 5 mins. He was just casually cleaning the wet bar. My friend got up to put in our order. Food was ok, portion is small, not sure Id return. Overall a disappointment.
First time trying pho was here at Pho Peter s and they did not disappoint! I had the Pho Ga (chicken pho) & the deep fried wontons, both were delicious. Customer service is always great and fast. Best pho place in Brampton!
Love this place, food always fresh and the service is great. Parking: Its a strip plaza plenty of parking in the front side and back Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in and table are totally accessible
Got pho dac biet as takeout. I don t understand why you d put the rare beef IN the soup already when I m taking it home. It s over cooked and rubbery by the time I get home to reheat/eat. Soup portion not enough for the huge container of noodles they give you. Not enough meat, veggies or herbs either. Flavor is lacking in soup. From a fellow Vietnamese, go a bit further to Vaughan or Mississauga and you ll get a better meal for the price.
I ordered egg noodles for my pho and they were still stuck together a bit. Regardless, they tasted really good. The meat tastes good too. The broth for the pho is very flavorful as well. The fresh rolls were not so good.
As regular customers, my family and I have ordered takeout here for years, but tonight s experience was disappointing. We ordered two Phos without onions, yet they both came with onions, no hoisin or hot sauce, and barely any meat just two small beef slices with mostly TRIPE, I didn t even order tripe it usually needs to be ordered separately and isn t a part of beef pho. When I called to address this, the owner insisted we pack up the old food and return to the restaurant or wait for them pick it up before they d send a corrected order. I am now suspicious that they might sell old or returned food. This was frustrating, especially since there was hardly any meat in the first place. The quality and service have noticeably declined since the fire incident, even for loyal customers.
Amazing pho and lovely service. very clean spot ! Highly recommend it Food
So glad they are back. I was heartbroken when I heard about the fire. I specifically like this restaurant because I order a dish from them thats not on the menu and they make it perfect. I get cravings for it every time. Im not posting what the dish is because Im not sure if they would want me revealing it to the public since it isnt on their menu. Ill have to ask them next time I order from them and update this post. Im thankful because they have been so accommodating as Ive ordered this dish several times and plan on ordering several times more. Im also glad that they take credit/debit cards now.
First time at this place. Excellent food and portion size. We ordered the Hues style beef and pork spicy soup and rice vermicelli with grilled beef, springroll and pork. The soup was spicy, delicious and hearty. The pork and beef in the vermicelli was super. Well priced and several Vietnamese options. Open till midnight so excellent option for late night dinner.
Take out food is quick like 15 min Parking: Easy access from kennedy and church st Food : 5/5 |
I was a regular before the fire. We loved this place. I moved to Fergus a few years ago and came back to visit them last week. Big disappointment, food has no taste at all. We ordered four different dishes, and one was worse than the other one. Despite that place looking better than before, food quality has decreased a lot. One hour of driving was worthless.
Great tasting food, generous portions and reasonable prices!
Friendly staff, food is amazingly delicious clean, bright and the atmosphere eas very nice
Delicious pho! Excellent for a quick lunch.
really good pho and chicken wings!
Love love love it definitely come.here. the price is great and the food is soo tasty
We were trying to look for a Pho restaurant that is just near our place. My daughter saw this and told us about it so we tried it. The place is nice like any other decent Pho restaurants. Service was fast. Server was courteous. Food was not that good as oer our taste. The Pho noodle soup that we ordered was not that tasty. The deep fried spring rolls were soaking with oil so I am not sure if they were freshly cooked or refried. Then our favourite grilled chicken was not that tasty and it was kind a hard not tender. These 3 items on the menu are always the three items we usually order whenever we visit a Pho restaurant that s why we can really compare the tastes.
My fav pho place in Brampton!
Tasty soup
Over the years, I have had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant with both friends and family. Unfortunately, they were forced to close for a period of time due to a fire or something like that. I am delighted to report that they have since reopened. I recently had the opportunity to dine there once again and ordered the small pho and spring rolls. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was bright and inviting. The owner and employees were friendly and provided excellent service. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future. It is wonderful to see them back in business!
A staple from my teenage days, food is awesome, generous portions and just the way I remember it tasting. So happy this gem is back!
Good noodles. Need drinks. The ladies there are nice.
i think that this restaurant should be providing better quality food for the price number 96 beef and noodles has maybe 8 slices of very thinly sliced beef with little to no flavour fortinos noddle bar is far better for far less $$
Been coming here for years. Best vietnamese spot I have tried in the GTA. The family that runs the restaurant is incredibly nice and provide fast service to all their customers + the prices and portion sizes are great.
It was great to enter Pho Peter after the renovation. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. The standard of the good food did not disappoint. And the portions are generous as usual. Prices have risen a bit. But not that much. The portions have increased in the take-out. Which means that they are still the BEST in value for money spent. Service is quick. The broad welcoming smile of the host is always there. Patronize the restaurant you will not be disappointed. This is the best Vietnamese Restaurant I have patronized in Toronto.
The Pho was right, in authentic and tasteful way. The prices are still reasonable for the end of 2024..
In This Restaurant it is so Warm & Welcoming. The family Always serves you with a smile & they are very attentive to your table. The Food is DELICIOUS & On point. Every single dish we ordered was So good & flavourful. I can honestly say I Love This restaurant at this location in brampton.
Do you remember eating at Manchu Wok or another mall food court Asian place back in the 90s? Thats what the food here tastes like: hard, bland vegetables, lots of noodles, little meat, and everything tastes like it was fried in old oil. Surprised by all the enthusiastic reviews. The spicy seafood Pad Thai was essentially an enormous brown pile of noodles with little in the way of seafood or sprouts or lime. It was both hot and flavourless at the same time, and the noodles tasted oily, in a bad way. The chicken and shrimp curry vermicelli had a very thin, weak yellow curry sauce that tasted like nothing. It contained five shrimp, a similar tiny volume of chicken, and a huge amount of steamed broccoli, carrot, celery and bok choy which was in a strange intermediate state of being no longer crispy, but still too firm to conveniently eat. The vegetables also tasted like nothing. The dishes were $19 each for bland piles of approximately 97% low-quality carbs, and needed large amounts of extra sauces to be at all enjoyed. We felt cheated. A generic fast food sandwich has more meat, more flavour and tastes fresher than either of these dishes. Service was so-so. The restaurant is in a seedy strip mall, but the interior is in good repair: looks like a generic modern oriental restaurant.
From the time i came in, the friendly and welcoming atmosphere enveloped me. Best soup and Bubble tea in Brampton and very nice place Vegetarian options: Bubble Tea with a range of options, mushroom fried rice and vegetable soup just to name a few. Parking: Ten to Twenty spots and plaza is not busy plus street parking. Kid-friendliness: Good food, dessert and drinks your kids will like plus free candy
Beautifully renovated and the same excellent service
Pad Thai ... yum!
I love this place! Its my favorite pho in Brampton. The beef soup with vegetables is fantastic. My only complaint is that they do not have air condition.
This is our go-to Vietnamese restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious, with a menu full of flavorful dishes that never disappoint. They recently renovated the place, giving it a fresh, modern look that adds to the overall dining experience. The service is warm and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Plus, they have TV entertainment, so you can relax and enjoy your meal while catching up on the latest shows or sports. Parking: There s free parking available, but the spots are limited. Kid-friendliness: My child has a severe peanut allergy, and when I told them, they assured us that none of the food we ordered would contain peanuts. They were really careful about it. I really love their peanut sauce, but I skip it when I m with my child.
I think they have fake reviews this is the worse Pho place I ve been too. ZERO stars if I could
Pho here wasn t good. Soup sucked and chinzy on meat AND NOODLE. Tasteless thin pork chop too
Been coming here for over 10 years! This pho restaurant is always consistent, pho is great, apps are delicious, service is always great. Owned by a lovely couple who actually invest in their space by renovating and always making sure service is amazing.
Best soup in Brampton !!!
Very happy to see one of my favorite restaurant reopen after 2 years of been closed. As always they never disappoint delicious food, great portions and wonderful owns. Would recommend to anyone that os looking to try something new.
Best spring rolls, ever! Super friendly staff. You wont be disappointed.
Good authentic vietnamese food. Been coming here for years. They closed down for renovation and the place looks updated and clean. Parking: Busy area and sometimes no parking. Take out or delivery is best.
Food here rocks and recently they renovated and it was done perfectly fantastics atmosphere.
Best Phò I ve had, been coming here since I was a child and they always deliver the best service and food. A staple in my household.
Best spot in Brampton
Nothing much to say but decent portions and decent food!
What a horrendous experience! I used to come here all the time from work but not after today. I ordered a vegetarian fried rice noodle with tofu and vegetables and the entire dish was not edible. I drove back from work (almost 4 kms) only for the main lady to yell and scream at me, a paying customer. I told her I couldn t eat the dish because the Tofu was cooked in stale, stinky oil which made it very bitter and i could taste the fish/meat anything else that was cooked in that oil. She refused to admit it nor was she willing to try the food that i brought back, i had only taken a bit. She couldn t understand why i couldn t eat it and then fought me. When i asked her to give my money back? She started yelling at me in front of her customers sitting in the restaurant. Needless to say that even after the renovations, this place remains a mess. Very disappointing.
Service is questionably fast; the meat might not be as fresh. Speaking of questionable, I ordered steamed rice with grilled chicken. The taste is fine, but the chicken portion is unsatisfactory compared to how much the meal cost. Only if its late and youre desperately hungry then I would suggest this place. Otherwise, find another Vietnamese restaurant elsewhere.
Two stars instead of 1 to give them credit on the newly renovated place. We visit this place often for years before the fire happened, but our latest visit was a letdown. Young lady (I assume shes the owners daughter) whos too busy using her laptop was quite aggressive on telling us where to sit. She cannot be bothered to stand up from her seat and guide the customers properly, just loudly yapping to Sit here, sit here! to us like we owe her our presence. Very different from the auntie (I assume the young ladys mother) who had a calmer and friendlier demeanor whenever we interact with her through the years. I thought it was an isolated case but just recently saw a review as well on the staffs attitude. Price went up, ok given coz the inflation. But food servings were infuriating and not at par with the price increase. I ordered my favorite rice meal, and got small portions of meat and half of my plate were veggies. Spring rolls were mostly noodles and barely any meat. Pho was still in a smaller bowl and stingy on the meat. What a major downgrade!!! Gone were the glory days of the Pho Peter that we loved so much. Time to look for a better pho place that we can proudly support.
Underrated spot for Pho in Brampton
Absolutely amazing food!!! My new go to pho soup place!! Broth was so so good! Only thing it would be nice to get more then 4 slivers of chicken and a little less noodles. Prices are quiet high though.
The Pho portion is good sized and broth is good, however the beef balls are hard and chewy - like pre-made or packaged variety. The pork fresh roll contained pork that was very dry, served without peanut sauce, just one sweet sauce. Food
Delicious food, friendly service, great prices. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend you give them a try, my favourite little spot for Vietnamese food in Brampton. My favourites here are chicken with mixed vegetables and rice , curry chicken and rice, and don t forget the deep fried spring rolls for your appetizer, as they are amazing.
So happy to have pho Peter back! This was actually the first place I ve ever tried pho and fell in love with it. It s so great to see them back up and running. The interior looks really good!
Great place been going here for years, foods amazing dinning in or taking out and the taro bubble tea is the best in my opinion
Really like this place. So happy they rebuilt. Looks clean and Beautiful. Food is top notch.
Best vitamins food
This place helped me cope after the loss of my mom Back in October of 2022. I came here at least twice a week there after because having Pho was one of my mothers final wish before she passed but unfortunately that wish was unable to be granted on time. So to commemorate her, I went and ate some Pho in her behalf. And Pho Peter was the place I chose to eat. The Food was great and reasonably priced in a cozy atmosphere with friendly customer service. After hearing the place closed down it felt like I had lost my mom again. But hearing that they re opened brought back all those great feelings. I appreciate this place. Thank You @PhoPeter for your wonderful food and great customer service
Best pho in Brampton! Not only is the food really good, the place is very clean, including the restrooms. Ill be back! P.s. the avocado fruit shake is amazing! Thank you Peter!
Goof Vietnamese food.
The atmosphere is a bit more polished since the renovations. I low-key missed the old set up. But the food is still what I remembered. Yummy
This place makes such good food. The broth is amazing and the grilled chicken is top tier . We come every week!
The best pho in Brampton
Great to have them back! They remembered us and our usual even though it has been a while. Very busy. Looks like others eagerly awaited their reopening...
Best pho broth in town! Beautiful thin noodles and juicy meat. The atmosphere is also calming and cool. Old Vietnamese restaurant but I would make it my pho place to go to regularly. 5*
Theyre back!!!! Even more better. Newly renovated. Foods are still delicious .
This is always one of my favorite go to spots when I dont want to drive far. I pretty much always get the special BBQ pork and shrimp fried rice. It has a good level of spiciness and the portion is massive, I can eat twice from one order.
Ordered takeout Pho had good portion sizes (large amount of noodle and soup), not enough meat (beef had a weird taste?). Soup was good. Ordered rare and well done beef (1/2 serving each), rare came cooked inside soup. Spring rolls were good.
Amount of joy an happiness when hearing pho peter is re opening after 2 long years cant even put into words.
I had the Pad Thai and it was extremely salty like it was soaked in soy sauce. Had to throw half of it out because it was inedible. However, service was decent and the atmosphere of the building was nice
I ve been coming here since I was a kid! I m so happy they reopened. The renovations are very nice everything looked so fresh and clean. Food was great as always I just wish they had bahn mi!
Very friendly family owned restaurant. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Fantastic Vietnamese restaurant
Regular here and for good reason. Best fried rice Ive had so far. I usually make it spicy and pair it with a curry beef. Edit*- Visited it recently and the taste has unfortunately and undoubtedly changed. Ill try it again before I stop going permanently.
Cozy place to have some great food, nice decor, family run, service is great, wait time very minimal, highly recommend
PHO PETER IS BACK BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
THEY ARE BACK OPEN! Pho Peter is the best Pho spot in Brampton. Nobody beats them
backstreets back alright!
One of the best Pho places in Brampton. We went on their re-opening today with some friends who were regulars, and lets just say it was worth the wait today. My friends have been going here since the server was a little girl, this family run business had a continuous line up since the moment we got there from 530pm (you could tell everyone was a repeat customer today)>. We ordered the pork spring rolls and beef pho . We will definitely be regulars.
Im glad to see Pho Peter has reopened! My wife and I have been eagerly waiting! Got takeout because the lineup to get a table was very long. The food was excellent as always.
This is the first pho place I have ever been to. My girlfriend brought me here and she knows exactly what to order. The shrimp spring rolls are amazing and beef pho was so good. Hope they open back up again
Hooray! It is really reopening soon! Beautiful ambiance all newly renovated.!!!
They are NOT OPEN. They are under renovation. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE!!!! We drove there 30min and found it was temporarily (not sure of it s permanent) closed
Consistently delicious food and huge portions for a great price. Staff is always friendly.
Best PHO restaurant in Brampton!! Hope the they recover. Prayers to the family!!
Hope it recovers, my favorite spot growing up
THEE best pho I ve ever tasted, I swear I d come here everyday if I could
My favourite pho in Brampton. Anyone know why did they close? Will they reopen?
This is the best pho in Brampton, please re-open this place.
Great Spot. Hope they recover quickly!
Awesome soups!
I adore this restaurant and have been going here for over 20yrs. I was shocked by the fire and glad to hear no one was hurt in this kind, hardworking family. I hope they will be back serving their excellent food again soon.
Looks like it burned or closed for renos idk
some of the best vietnamese cuisine you ask for. best pho soups I ever tasted, Flavours that will have you hooked with out a drought. I moved to Windsor and would drive 4 hours for a bowl of the soup # 15 rare beff spicy please!. Must stop in for food if your in the area. Be prepared their very busy but worth the wait obviously.
Its been two years since my last visit and just as great as I remember it. I always recommend Pho Peter and Ill be coming back for sure. Hopefully wont be another two years! UPDATE: I always check to see if they have reopened. Im gonna support the heck out of them, when they do. I hope that family is doing OK!
Dam I miss this place so much stupid fire I hope they come back food was good and the owners were very nice
My favourite place in Brampton for Vietnamese food. Please bring back the goi vit, my favourite dish and I cant get it anywhere else. Wish the family well in recovering from the fire.
Miss this place so much , anyone know if or when it s reopening?
Miss this place so much ,
Pho Peter will always hold a special place in my heart. The greatest Pho I have every had and the owners are so kind
Pho Peter is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Brampton. The owners are lovely, and the spring rolls and pho are phenomenal. Cant wait for them to reopen.
Pho Peter is hands down the best Pho restaurant you can eat for authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Brampton. Their service is always friendly and the food is never a long wait. I ve been going here for over 10 years and no other pho restaurant comes close to their food. A true gem in the city.
Hands down the best place to eat. I ve been coming here consistently for over 10 years. The food is always amazing and comforting. The family is wonderful, they work so incredibly hard every day and always deliver service with a smile. I was heartbroken when they closed down. I moved to Niagara Falls and would drive down weekly just to ensure I got my pho. The family remembers you and is always so amazing. I can t wait until they open up again!
Been a customer for almost two decades? Geez does time fly I can t wait for this place to open back up stronger and better
Oh how I miss Pho Peters can t wait for the restaurant to open back been going here since I was a child! This summer has not been the same without them come back with a strong reopening!
I AM REALLY SAD AFTER SO MANY YEARS PHO PETER HAS CLOSED DOWN This place had fantastic service, and food is 100% above and beyond. Honestly, its the best Pho I ever had in Ontario. The owner is a very friendly, hard worker and friendly guy. This restaurant will be truly missed.
Pho Peter is currently undergoing renovations after a fire. Hopefully theyll open soon.
I have ordered take out here several times, when I saw that its been closes because of the fire it was sad to see. I hope they reopen soon regardless one of the best places to eat Vietnamese in Brampton. I hope the owners give the locals an update on renovation plans or if theyre closing for good. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options
Love the photo here..
One of my favourite pho places, I like that they stay open late and everything is reasonably priced.
We always enjoy our meals at Peters. The portions are generous and the service from the family is friendly and efficient. The menu offers a variety of combinations that can please most people even vegetarians. The prices are also very reasonable.
Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai taste very good. Prices and portions are very reasonable. Great service and they cook fast.
Been going here with my family since I was little! Friendly service and family owned, the best portions and the best food! Love it here, it s my mom and I s favourite pho restaurant for years living in Brampton.
After trying almost every Pho restaurant in Brampton such as Pho 123, Pho Dau Bo, Saigon House etc, Ive come to the conclusion that Pho Peter is the absolute best Pho restaurant in Brampton, Saigon House being a close second. The prices are competitive, the portions are very generous (My photo doesn t do its justice, my fried egg was covering all the goodies!) and a very cozy atmosphere. All the 1 star reviews are made by accounts with only 1 review, i m not sure how trustworthy those are, but I d definitely recommend a visit here.
A place for a quick Vietnamese comfort food with friends and family
Best pho in Brampton, always fresh and tasty
great service and nice employees
Very good pho in Brampton highly recommended.
We are regular customer for years we love the food so much, very affordable, generous portion with good price. The owner are very nice people.
Solid family run restaurant. Fair price, good food.
First time trying this place with a bunch of friends. It was a pretty good ambience. We got a bunch of stuff like the spring rolls, fried rice and pho. But my favorite was the meat spring rolls. It was different from the places but really good. Apart from that, the service was not bad, it did take a while to get the food but it didnt bother that much.
Nice food nice people
Always consistent in good food, great portions, and great prices.
Prices are decent but the quality of food is lower than say Pho Dau Bo. Pad Thai doesnt taste like pad Thai, pho meat is poor quality, the meat in the bun is scarce and not good. The pad Thai is a huge portion though.
Very friendly and kind staff, food arrived only 10 minutes after ordering. The food was also delicious. Good prices and overall, an excellent restaurant.
Nice food.. reasonable prices.
It was absolutely fantastic! Probably one of the best pho places in the GTA. I got the seafood pho and it was incredible. The staff/owner is really nice as well. Had great customer service and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced too. This is a fantastic place. The only minor downside is the plaza gets really crowded so parking is tricky but its 100% worth it!
Food was good, portions well sized. Ordered a Large House Special Pho, the broth and quantity served was amazing. The meat was ok, some parts (tendon) werent cooked correctly(stringy, chewy, not soft or melty). Ordinarily, that would be enough to demote this place to a 4 star. However, their pricing is arguably one of, if not the best in the post-pandemic world. For that, Pho Peter gets a 5/5 stars for value, 4/5 stars for quality. Edit: been there a couple of times now, the meat is actually really good, a significant improvement from my first eat there. This place gets an updated score of a perfect 5/5 for value and 5/5 for quality.
Great restaurant to get vietnamise food. What do I recommend? In the winter times is good to have Pho (noodle soup), you can also have chiken- rice meal and other great list of variety. Very friendly staff and great service.
Amazing food! Such a wonderful little place with such good food! I ve never had be this good in all my years of loving Pho! I can t wait to go back and try their 93 with pork again! If you can get anything, get their special, it comes with all meats and egg noodles in broth! Excellent work guys, can t wait to come back really soon!
Great restaurant, great food. Great service. Good prices. Best pho soup.
Amazing pho and great service! The tea was made to perfection as well. I highly recommend!
I ordered the beef pho, veggie spring rolls and veggie fried rice. First time trying pho and it s really good. Definitely comfort food. A huge quantity, more than I expected.
Delicious every single time! Definitely a Brampton gem
I ve been coming here regularly for over 15 years. Great family restaurant with consistently delicious food. Go for the spicy fried rice with BBQ pork and Chicken!
Tried for the first time. Not a fan!
average
Yummy food, good service.
The Pho that I ordered was just wow. Quantity was also good. Staff was friendly and liked the atmosphere. Must try food from here.
I ordered a beef pho through skip the dishes and there were large chunks of fat instead of actual beef pieces. Will not be from here ordering again. I can t seem to add the photo here but I have photos of the fat chunks.
Amazing been going here since I was a toddler! Best pho ever! Number 15 and the number 1 spring rolls. No pho compares. Pro tip ask for extra broth when getting take out.
HORRIBLE. ONE OF THE WORST VIETNAMESE PLACES I HAVE EVER BEEN. Broth had no authentic flavour and tasted like water with whole box of salt. No vegetables in the soup at all. Sriracha bottles refilled with some other sauce NOT Sriracha. Really cheap people. Interior is super dated. Everything is old fashioned and needs renovation.
Great food for fair price and quantity. I enjoy the tofu vermicelli which is always tasty. The lady working there provides good service.
Always hot and delicious. Friendly service. Great variety. Recommended.
Tried Pho Peter on a whim after we went to Sushi 520 but it was closed, and Peter was one of a few restos that was still serving food at 9:30 p.m. on a Saturday night. We didn t know what to expect since we had never been to Peter before but we were hungry and a little annoyed that sushi place was closed despite website claiming they were open. As we got out of car for Peter it looks kind of run-down, but don t be fooled by outward appearances! A large group of Vietnamese people was exciting the restaurant apparently having just finished a big meal- a good sign. Inside even at 9:30 at night there are 3 other separate tables with groups of people eating, despite the somewhat dingy interior- also a good sign. The young Vietnamese guy apparently working as host/waiter visibly rolled his eyes when he saw us entering, and half-heartedly answered yeah when we asked if we could sit at the two-seat table by the door- not such a good sign. I ll give the guy the benefit of the doubt and say he was just exhausted from working a long day and so he felt a little defeated when he saw 2 more customers come in when maybe he was hoping things would quiet down and he d get to go home early, and our appearance dashed those hopes. It was rude, and the run-down appearance of the place was not reassuring BUT in my experience these kind of divey places often produce the BEST, most authentic, and homemade food, often at bargain prices. That is the case with Pho Peter. We ordered pork and shrimp fresh rolls as and appetizer, I got the bun (rice vermicelli noodles) with pork and fried spring roll, and my husband ordered beef and tripe pho. Oh. My. God. The food was amazing! The pork in my bun bowl was exquisitely seasoned, and just the right proportion of fatty bits to lean; the fried spring roll was soooo good; and the freshness of the lettuce, cuke, and carrot salad perfectly balanced out the heaviness of the pork and fried spring roll. I tried my husband s pho and you can tell the broth has that subtle complexity of flavour that can only come with making it with patience, experience, and love. The portions were very generous- in fact I could ve just had my bun bowl without an appetizer and I still would have been stuffed. While we were eating more groups of people of a variety of races and ethnicities kept arriving- a couple, a young family with kids, a small group of older-middle aged people, despite it being past 10 p.m. at this point, plus delivery drivers kept arriving to pick up orders- and no wonder! A gem of a place such as this has not gone un-noticed by the varied peoples of B-town. Worth mentioning that while we ate the young family arrived and the same young guy host who rolled his eyes at us audibly groaned when they timidly asked to be seated! Either he doesn t know how rude such behaviour is, or he was having a really bad night! Regardless at this point we were well into our delicious meal so his reactions were actually comical as they were so exaggerated. The young mom even kind of gave us a sheepish look after he groaned, the guy was that obvious, but hey- despite the rudeness they still wanted to eat there, which says something. I m guessing it s a family business and he works front of the restaurant on account of having the most proficiency in English, as the older woman who was bussing tables did not appear to understand when we tried to convey how much we were pleased with our food. Despite the not-so-nice service, we will definitely get food from Pho Peter again, it just was that good on quality, taste, and value-for-price. If you like REAL food that tastes like your Vietnamese auntie that you didn t know you had cooked for you using the family heirloom preparation, then come to Pho Peter.
Was in Brampton on other business and this place was close by. This was very tasty pho. Lots of bean sprouts, basil was fresh and they also gave me a container of veggies because I asked for no noodles. I will definitely go here again. I normally eat half my pho and have the rest later but I had all in one serving. Very good!
I normally order from Pho Peter, the same fried rice with chicken. So I know my order pretty well. Ordered today and it was wrong. Called back and was hung up on twice after the lady said it was my fault that the order was wrong. When I asked to speak with someone else just to clarify what went wrong between making the order and what was made, she informed me that NOBODY else could speak with me because only she knew English. And then hung up on me again. The food is always great but the customer service? Trash.
Ive been going here for over 15 years, I love the food here and they have huge portions at a great price
I ordered today fried chicken wings from this restaurant and was absolutely disgusting quality, over fry on the outside and raw on the inside with pinkish bone and a bit bloodish juice and no taste at all. Another order was the Pho soup the meat was rotting tastless they just add water and salt. I am really a big fan of Vietnamese food but this one is a totally disappointing place to eat.
We have been going this restaurant for a few time. The food is pretty good but I found things in my soup TWO times. First time was a small piece of napkin. She gave up some discounts. The reason I told her was I wanted her to pay more attention in the future and there might be more napkins still in the soup. Second time was today, we ordered take-out and I found a small piece of blue plastic thing in my soup. I guess we won t go back anymore.
This is absolutely the best pho soup in the GTA, southern Ontario probably. We have tried Pho soup in every city we travel to and Pho Peter still remains our favorite.
I took a co-worker here for dinner. The reviews were good. We were very happy with the food and the prices are very reasonable. Large portions. The staff didnt speak English, but the menus are in English and have numbered dishes. We managed and had no issues.
we weren t greeted when we came in so we sat ourselves down. the spring rolls were really nice and crispy, and the soup was amazing. definitely one of the best broths i ve had in brampton. definitely recommend
This is now my favourite Pho place in Brampton. By far the best tasting soup Ive had in the area. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue - which in my opinion was pretty good considering it is a regional specialty in Vietnam. What was missing though was the proper garnishes...we missed the cabbage and basil for this dish. That is my only gripe with the place. Would definitely return!
Food is always good. But it was hot inside no ac that day and pretty dusty...
Was not impressed will not be returning
Quantity (meat) inside the Large size Pho is a joke!!! Nothing is delicious about the 3 meals I ordered Avocado shake barely have any flavor, too much crushed-ice very little ingrédients--not worth $6 The dining seats upholstery are all peeling/cracking and can damage fabric on your skirt/pants/clothing I do not recommend this place as it was a disappointing experience for me and my guest
Lovely place, service, food, portions, friendly atmosphere.
Good price.. filling portions and amazing taste.. worth trying it at-least once.. I really loved the broth.. noodles were good and everything was delicious.
Service was good food was good as well
This is a small family run restaurant with good food and fair prices. I visit regularly.
Amazing food and great staff! The only thing was that my bf didn t get his order and I didn t realize that he didn t because I was devouring my food anyways! It was a great experience! Thank you
Best place to come to, friendly people and great food.
We found 2 hairs in our food. Terrible service from one of the waiters. Very dismissive when we asked questions about the menu as two of our family members were vegan.
Not the best looking place but who cares? It has the best pho in miles at a very decent price.
excellent place, food is amazing
Theyre good is amazing but whats even more amazing is they have tissues at the table!
Been coming here for over 10 years, and its the best pho restaurant in brampton, I ve tried most pho places in brampton, and always come back to this one. Good service and good food, you cant go wrong. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian pho here is really good in comparison to other places. It comes with lots of vegetables: buk choy, broccoli, onion, carrot, bean sprouts as well as fried tofu. The broth is also vegetarian
The interior is clearly old, chair paddings are ripped, carpet down the stairs are old and dirty. However, the pho soup is very good. A little bit of fat, you can taste that they used lots of ingredients to make the broth. Prices are reasonable too, $9.95 for a small and large is only $1 more (for some reason). Theres an X-large pho as well thats not on the menu, for $14 I think. The Pad Thai was delicious and the portion was huge. Had to pack it home for a 2nd meal. I imagine they use MSG, I could taste it, as we felt like we wanna eat more even though youre full. Many people came in on a Saturday night, a few take outs too So overall, 4 stars, if they renovate it, it would be 5 stars.
Very good Vietnamese food, and a very good price.
Hi all I went to this place a shout out. The staff were swift and friendly. I tired their pho and you could tell a lot of love and care goes into their food. Its really worth a shot.
Food got delivered super cold and not to mention totally tasteless. Thick coating on spring rolls with loads of oil, noodles were over cooked and pork was chewy in 2 out of 3 dishes. Against throwing food but had to dump everything into the dustbin
The food is really quite good and very reasonably priced. Service is good, but can be a little slow when the place is really busy and the staff are a bit run ragged. They do a good job, though, overall. The interior is clean, but getting a bit tatty. Its not a high-end place by any means, but for quite good Vietnamese food off an amazingly huge menu, this is definitely a great local spot.
Really delicious broth. Could be quicker but who minds a wait when the food is excellent. Atmosphere is great as well.
Like, very kind
Unbelievable I came in for takeout and when I went to pay, the owner went ahead and put in a tip himself. I m a server myself and I know how these debit machines work. My total was around $19 and somehow the amount of $25 showed up on the screen. It did not prompt me with a tip option, which means he punched in the tip himself. When my husband confronted him about it and showed him the receipt, he got very defensive and had the audacity to tell me that I punched in the tip. He then basically threw $4 in change at us and told us to take the money. Will never come back! Please make sure to check your receipts.
Food was excellent, place a little dingy
Delicious food!
Great food Great quantity Great service Great price Thank you for the great food it was great
Atmosphere is a nice and cozy vibe and the food is amazing
Good price, great pho clean restaurant and very good portion size. Very impressed Parking: Lots of parking available.
Great place, great people and great food. Hope they don t close down after the fire!
We have been to Pho Peter many many times. Its our favourite lunchtime place to go. I think weve been going there since we moved to Brampton 30 years ago. It is so sad that it burned down. We really hope they can rebuild!
