Food is fresh, takes forever to fill the buffet, they cheap out on portion size, and Sunday is not worth going that's the only downside.
We stopped by Bong Bong Chef on our road trip to Calgary and are glad we did. The place is quite and clean and staff are very friendly. There is not a large selection for lunch buffet but all dishes are fresh with great taste. Yes, you can't miss the Szechuan chicken. The price is very reasonable and kids under four is only $2.99. Highly recommended!
Went for Friday lunch. No one else in the restaurant. Buffet was small but good. Bbq pork was quite good, a couple of sushi options, some stir fry, some noodles, some deep fry(not all breading) and some salad. Probably in a catch 22, not enough customers for a bigger buffet, can't get more customers until buffet has something for everyone. Still worth going.
Clean restaurant and good food. Perhaps the only place to have authentic Chinese food in Brandon. Ask for Chinese menu if you want to give it a shot. There is also buffet option. Free parking in the front.
Wow, I didn’t know this place was here but I certainly am glad that I found it! What great little place good food, great price and the service is phenomenal! The variety of food offered for the price is amazing and they even have an ice cream freezer! Pretty amazing! And they keep checking on you and make things fresh for you so the buffet is always piping hot and tasty! Pretty incredible!
Atmosphere was clean, nicely decorated and peaceful. Wonderful chef who is obviously professionally trained. Authentic tasty Chinese dishes. We had the Mo Po tofu and the Sichuan spicy chicken both were delightful and served beautifully. Would recommend to everyone

The bad reviews here have definitely been met as the owner replies with promises to improve. The food is fresh and brought out as needed and the choices on the menu were really popular ones. The buffet is in a separate room reminiscent of the old days and the main seating has a very authentic chinese ambience. Not a lot of sushi but the ones they offer on the slide are the best rolls and the rice and ingredients are fresh daily. Since its a small town, people dont want to come to downtown and they frequent the other asian buffets more often. But, this is the best one for price and quality. No bready puffy overdone deep fry with small pieces of meat and no unenjoyable desserts. The authenticity would definitely sell this place. Millennials would probably like it. Ask for their chopsticks.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable environment, dont miss out on the Szechuan chicken on their buffet. Chicken wings and the battered fish were very good as well.
I went to dinner with my family today, but what a disappointment I looked at the wall of food photographs and I was excited but when I got to the food table I did nothing of what they offer you, tasteless food, reheated and the lights on the food counter very bad you could not distinguish anything, the staff very friendly but in the end I do not recommend this buffet, it is a waste of money.
I went with my family to this restaurant too eat at their buffet the food was tasteless and it had barely any salt they had red light shining making it very hard too see the food and its not worth the price to eat at this restaurant!
Solid lunch buffet experience. Pricing on par with their local contemporaries. Clean environment. Buffet selection was adequate, and featured some tasty hot wings that were crispy and delicious. Hit the lunch buffet, wasnt disappointed. Good selection, reasonable pricing, quick service. They had a good amount of foot traffic over the lunch hour but still got hot fresh food out for the patrons. Check out the won ton soup and try the bong bong chow mein.
Had dinner buffet and menu on weekend. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good food, delicious.They also offer good selections on menu, Thai chicken curry Yummy!

ROTTEN/SPOILED SEAFOOD gave us food poisoning. We complained, but didn t receive any discount. VERY hot inside no proper running AC. While I appreciate having young children learning how to work, they don t have food safe handler training. They might work out the kinks, but I won t be back after food poisoning sorry.

If i could put no stars for the food i would. My family and I went there at 6pm and had the dinner buffet and it was a disapointment. there was hardly any food on the buffet and what was there looked like i had been sitting there for awhile. A chunk of the noodles for the chow main were hard, the pork balls looked alright but again most of it tasted as if it had been sitting there for an hour. The reviews ive seen show some awesome looking food so will maybe try it one more time at an earlier time in hopes to get better fresher food. Althought for going at 6pm for a dinner buffet youd think it would be pretty fresh to begin with....
It was great we had the lunch buffet and the food was absolutely perfect the best Chinese me and my father have had in a while and the staff was very kind when we interacted with her. Overall great experience looking forward to future visits
Too much fish or pork dishes. Tasted fish in almost all of the selections of chicken, rice and noodles. Needs more beef dishes. Over priced for lunch buffet. Wasnt good at all. Sorry to say.
