1721 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511, United States
Colorful eatery offering gumbo, fried crawfish & other classic Cajun-Creole dishes, plus cocktails.
Well let's begin from seating it took a while. And then got seated I was a little wait for the waitress and when she came to the table she was a little emotional and overwhelmed with work and finally ordered and the food was warm. Grits was a little cold but the Manger made it up with some beignets that helped out.And (Chris) from creative cohort entertainment sat at our table and asked us is they any problems. She helped the situation and the Mgr sent the free beignets to the table. Based on Creative Cohort Entertainment we will be returning.
The atmosphere was very festive and upbeat, the jazz was enjoyable. The food was AMAZING, the shrimp and grit cakes were to die for, and I'd repeat any time. The Jambalaya and Gumbo were also delicious, and the appetizer of fried green tomatoes with sauce was just sublime. We weren't disappointed with one single thing, and will definitely be returning. The decor was delightful and entertaining. All I can say is, I wish I'd come here sooner!!
The food was great as usual. My issue, this time, was the waitress. We got out appetizer but never got silverware. Even when we got our food, no silverware. We had to take some from another table. When we were waiting to go, never got the to go containers we asked for. Also had to get them ourselves. At least the food was good.
Had a work meeting here, first time but the people I was with had great things to say about it. So to say the least I was going in with high expectations and the staff and food blew the high expectations away. The food was amazing from appetizers to the main lunch meal. We tried fried pickles the BBQ shrimp and for lunch had the Rita chicken and it was all delicious. Can’t wait to go back
Lovely Sunday Brunch. First Food choice wasn’t desirable. The manager Carlos was amazing came right over snd provided options. I enjoyed the cajun chicken pasta. Very courteous and customer service was great. Service was good with Trisha.
We stopped by for Sunday brunch while in the area. The alligator cheesecake was pretty good. The shrimp and grits were average the shrimp lacked seasoning (I asked for mild heat so I’m not sure if that is why they were not seasoned). We ordered the traditional beignets to go (not pictured) and those were delicious. The saxophonist was phenomenal and the service was great. Overall we had a good experience. I would try them again but would not order the shrimp and grits mild again.
I absolutely love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff were amazing and very caring and even made recommendations to us of what to eat. When i tell yall this place has the best fried shrimp i mean it ! The fried shrimp here is absolutely delicious. I loved this restaurant i went here as a date with my boyfriend and it was very welcoming and enjoyable. I recommend to everyone looking for a place to spend a date night!
I was taken here for Father's Day lunch by my wife. It was quite the atmosphere, I must say. Great vibes. Great service. Great meal. Without a doubt, we will return to sample other dishes from the menu. We had shrimp and grits, chicken and waffle, and gator bites. Everything had excellent flavor.
This was my first visit to this establishment. I have to say that the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Well worth the drive there.
Let s call it a Christmas miracle. I can say after eating here that there is hope for Florida. As a native Louisianan on the outskirts of New Orleans I ve spent over 30 years experiencing unbelievable Cajun and creole good. Tibbys checks all the boxes. I m so glad to finally find a Florida restaurant that respects the shrimp and shows them the love they deserve. Seasoned and blackened to perfection. The gumbo was on point and the dirty rice option was a veteran move. The boudin grit cakes Monica style was out of this world. It s rare to find a menu that is this good. Just pick anything on there and you won t be disappointed! Highly highly recommend. I will be making the drive on the regular yo get my Cajun fix. Would love to see boiled crawfish on the menu when they are in season and perhaps some fried softshell crab dishes. Great job tabby s, you are seen and you are appreciated.
Always enjoy myself while Im there great food great staff and awesome atmosphere! Try the Étouffée
Always excellent food
Lindsey and Jada were sooooooo amazing I had a great time with me and my bestie. They took such good care of us 10/10!!!!!
Lindsey and jadas service was perfect . It was my first time and they took great care of us! Great recommendations and the atmosphere was fun . Me and my Bestfriend went on a Sunday and had a blast, first timers and they made the experience great! Thank you so much!!!
Who Dat Cajun Blacken Chicken
Just had a fantastic meal at Tibbys! The service was great and the food was wonderful. Be sure to have the beignets, loved the avocado toastYou really enjoyed the saxophone player. They even accommodated our two guests with Celiac with fresh made gluten free pasta! We used to be regulars but stopped coming when we had a less than positive experience. They have definitely resolved the issues! Well be back!
Everything is wonderful here. We come several times a year.
Incredible place, I recommend it, here you will find quality food and impeccable service.
We went for lunch midweek and found a pleasant atmosphere On top of that the food was great Food
First time in. Multi unit concept in Tampa and Orlando that celebrates New Orleans. Very nicely done down to the bread used for Po Boys and Abita offerings too. No French 75 but a good selection of drinks and fun sharable dishes like the BBQ Shrimp and Bienville Salad. Warm eager welcome upon arrival and friendly accommodating service at the bar area. Thanks for what you do!
Fun atmosphere, good food and great service. I asked my friend to find something different and this is where we went
My go-to in Florida for New Orleans style food. There isnt any dish there that I would not recommend. It all depends on your preference. I recently had the chicken and sausage gumbo and because Im on a weight loss journey, I ordered it without rice. It was so delicious and filling. The portions are ginormous. My husband loves their Po Boys. They are stuffed with whatever meat you order and would easily be 2 or 3 servings. I took home a serving of pumpkin spice beignets, which consisted of 4 beignets. I heated up one the next morning to have with my coffee and thought Id died and gone to heaven. My husband gladly finished off the leftovers. Lastly, I want to commend the wait staff and chef for outstanding service and food cooked to perfection. I just love Tibbys! Parking: Parking is available all around the building.
The shrimp & alligator cheesecake is a winner. My shrimp pasta smelled spoiled and the boss pretended to care but never came back after saying he was going to look into it. My 4th time attending the Sunday Jazz but the 2nd time Ive gotten a bad smelling dish. Maybe its the crawfish. Parking: Plenty of parking on the east side and rear of restaurant.
Waitress did great , Food wasn t good , no flavors. I ordered Shrimp Po boy , shrimp was alright but the bread was old /dry I couldn t really eat it. On top of that an awful experience with a racist manager . I won t ever be back , really sad and bad experience. Food
As soon as we walked in we loved the aesthetic, all the historical pictures and art took our attention. We didn t have to wait long at all, our server (Tyrese) was a 5 star server, very funny, kind and personable. The manager (Carlos) served us our food, the portions were very generous, the Greek salad actually tasted like a Greek salad everything was excellent. Carlos and Tyrese made us feel so special, you can see He s (Carlos) done such a good job with the employees and the place. We will definitely be coming back:) P.S. Tyrese is a keeper lol
I loved the vibe at Tibby s New Orleans Kitchen it felt like stepping right into a vibrant NOLA scene, with colorful decor and upbeat music. The gumbo was rich and packed with flavor, and the beignets were the perfect sweet ending. I ll definitely be back for more!
great food great staff ..
Great food and outstanding service! Tamika and Mike were incredible, best service I ve ever revived.
Absolutely love this place! Order the Grit Cakes with Shrimp and Cream Sauce! You will not be disappointed!
I ordered the fried green tomatoes for $11 and they were so thin that I couldnt even pick them up when I cut them there were five thin slices tasty but not enough for $11
This place transported me back to NOLA! Between the original art on the walls and decor, the live music and the food & drinks this place did not disappoint! I had the Bloody Mary and that was delicious and some of the best shrimp and grits I ve had in a long time! Thank you Lindsey!
Friendly and helpful....Good Food, very flavorful!!
Huge portions of food good food
The food was great, and thanks for the great service
Catfish was soggy and just didnt taste good. Grits were disgusting. Jambalaya was bland. I can honestly say this was the most disgusting food I ever ate at a restaurant.
Fun atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. Everything we got was delicious and the service was friendly and on top of all our needs.
Always a good supper at Tibbeys! The Muffuletta sandwich is awesome! Great New Orleans look n feel!
Fun decor. We were seated quickly but there was a bit of a wait once the food was ordered. The meals we ordered were good overall though they couldve been a bit more seasoned/spicier. The beignet were excellent.
Variety and ambiance are outstanding. One dish was quite good and Gator bite appetizer also top-notch but I judge Louisiana cuisine by the Gumbo I was a little disappointed. The roux was just right but thats the plus, white rice and garlic bread also good but lack of proteins was a big drawback. Some may prefer popcorn shrimp in a gumbo not me and there is little of that. Sausage and other proteins were undetectable. Turns out to be more of a roux soup than a gumbo.
New Orleans at its finest. Ritas Chicken
Always the best service and a wonderful food great atmosphere love it
Group birthday dinner, excellent service, fun time! Appetizers were enough for a meal!
This place is incredible! Best Cajun/Creole food this side of the Mississippi.
Omg I have had gumbo from many places but here at tibbys they did new Orleans proud will be back and hope many more to visit.#TIBBYS ON FIRE the waitress Cristal is amazing Food
Atmosphere awesome
Great food and staff.
So I ve been here twice and had the po boys with beignets. Half/half crawfish and catfish, crawfish was bussin 10/10 and catfish it s decent size but just have to be in the mood to eat fish 6/10 but the beignets was fire not gonna lie 10/10. Now 2nd time I came I got jambalaya, crawfish pie & chicken filé gumbo with side gator bites. Jambalaya 10/10, crawfish pie for me I thinks just cause it s like a fish empanada my opinion only like beef empanadas but my brother liked it 5/10, Gumbo was good 8/10, Now the Gator bite were good to be other ppl at the table didn t like it so much but to me that gator was bussin and i don t know what type of sauce they give you but omg it s so good and spicy 10/10. Also really nice decor on the inside really New Orleans vibe and everything I ve experienced here is pretty relatable to when I visited New Orleans, beignets tasted the same and Po boys tasted the same. Parking: Big back section
Waiting at the airport for our flight to Tampa to board I started looking for places to eat lunch. I came across Tibby s. Sunday Brunch is amazing! Food is some of the best I ve had outside the French Quarter. Servers were excellent. Live music was very good. They have the largest display of New Orleans Street Art anywhere. Just go! You will love it.
First time here and it didnt disappoint. Heard of this place from a few ppl. We ordered 3 different appetizers which were sweet shrimp, potato skins, and gator n shrimp dip shared between 3 of us. We really didnt have to order an entree with the nice size portions given but did anyway. So the entrees were pork chops w/ red beans n rice, fried roast beef sandwich w/fries, and shrimp n grits. All were delicious except red beans didnt have much of a taste. Its a little on pricey side but portions make that up. My bill came up to $228 and change plus 15% tip. The drinks were also flowing with good kick to them. We will be back soon to try more items on menu.
The food, taste and portion size, and the service were fantastic. We will return to try more dishes.
Almost authentic N.O. cuisine. Excellent. Limited vegetarian experience. Just ask.
Amazing, but please bring back the blackened chicken pasta.
Great food and great service. Maya was really nice and willing to explain menu and any details regarding art and decoration of the restaurant.
Second time here. Food is great large portion, and service is excellent. The restaurant is clean with a nice little New Orleans feel.
I recently visited Tibbys for the first time. Ive gotten delivery before and loved it, but dining in was on a whole other level. My friend ordered a favorite menu item and I branched out from my usual shrimp and grits a little; I had the shrimp and grits cakes instead. The food was incredible; my friend kept spooning pasta sauce off my plate to enjoy the flavor. Our server Trisha was wonderful. She was attentive and friendly with a great sense of humor. I work in hospitality myself and I happily recommended Tibbys to my coworkers and my chef.
Very good New Orleans cuisine and atmosphere. They are very busy and for good reason.
My favorite NOLA restaurant outside of New Orleans...and quite frankly the last couple of times we have been back to NOLA, we have thought the food was better at Tibbys!
I love this place
Ella was awesome. Food was awesome. Being open after a major hurricane and serving your community is amazing. Will go here again!
After driving from Naples to assist with hurricane relief from Milton. We found Tibby s which was closing but they re were kind enough to make an exception and let us eat before they closed. We ll definitely be coming back for more.
We had absolutely excellent service! Highway trust was attentive cheerful but not over the top and friendly. She may have been the second waitress Ive seen in the last 25 years who actually turned around and looked at us when she was talking to a table in our vicinity! Im not sure why thats such a difficult task for every other server but she was close to the best weve ever had. We love New Orleans. We love the music the atmosphere reminds us of our visits there and we will be back again and again.
Shout out to Tibby s in Brandon. They reopened Thursday after Milton at 12 noon! The staff was welcoming and gracious. It was so nice and much needed. We don t have power and they were very accommodating allowing us to charge phones and just hang out eating great food and drinking hurricanes!!!!! Thank you so much !
Love this place if you havent tried it the food is amazing large portions great price staff is also wonderful
The service and the food were excellent. We will definitely be back.
I m so surprised by all the good reviews. First time here and the red beans and rice taste like it s from a can and looks nothing like the picture. Literally threw it in the trash I couldn t eat it at all. $45 for nothing.
Different unique experience which was nice
Great authentic New Orleans Cajun food, also great ambience, dine at a private booth or sit at the bar
Enjoyed our experience! The beignets were very close to New Orleans beignets! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
I was looking for something very different and I ran across Tibbys! I was greeted and quickly seated. It has a cool decor and laidback atmosphere. I sat at the bar for a quick bite. Service was friendly and efficient with lots of great recommendations. I had the three dish sampler. Ill be back.
Rebecca is incredible!!! Very prompt service, always had a smile and on top of everything!!!
Food and service were fantastic! Rebecca was a great server- we ve been here a few times- for Sunday brunch and for dinners, and always had a great time!
Good food and great vibes...
Excellent food, absolutely outstanding. Excellent service. Wonderfully fun atmosphere. Trisha was our waitress. She has a great personality and was very accommodating to our special order. We very much enjoyed the entire experience. Highly recommend this establishment!! Well be back!! Parking: Plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Tables are spaced for easy accommodation of wheelchair.
This is one of our favorite places! The gumbo is always great!
Food and service was quick and awesome.
All good at Tibbys Parking: Plenty of parking Food : 5/5 |
If you re looking for good food as well as service check out Tibby s the Food was amazing. I will most definitely be coming back. Carlos was amazing and made sure our experience was great.
Such a cute place!! Saw this place on tik tok while searching for a local date night restaurant before heading out. Get your camera ready to take photos of the New Orleans inspired decor & the food was sooo flavorful. Will be back and recommend our friends. Carlos & Lindsey were so welcoming also. The ONLY thing I would recommend is to continue the decor within the bathrooms. I know it sounds weird but I walked in expecting to see the same theme. At least photos on the wall but was a little taken back when it was so bare and plain compared to the rest of the restaurant.
Food is always on point and the atmosphere matches the vibe. Hurricanes are the cherry on top!
This is an update from 5 stars 3 years ago, to 2 stars now. The food is usually really good.. however, yesterday I had to throw out my meal. We ordered the shrimp with grit cakes and it was unbelievably salty, the shrimp were fishy and grit cakes were overcooked and rubbery. Red beans and rice were like refried beans. Very disappointed
Food was closest to authentic cajun New Orleans cuisine of any restaurant outside of Nzo. Shrimp poboys were stuffed with shrimp. Remoulade sauce was yummy. Gumbo tasty. Beignets hot and puffy. Interesting decorations.
Anthony is THE BEST! Don t loose him! Promote him! Parking: Right in front of building! Food : 5/5 |
Mr Anthony is an amazing bar tender!! Parking: Great Parking, and service Food : 5/5 |
We had a large party. Food and service were excellent. Ella was fantastic! Very helpful & accommodating. Highly recommend. . .
The food was delicious and our server Guy was knowledgeable and attentive. We enjoyed our visit.
Best Cajun Restaurant in Tampa !!
Had lunch yesterday with my daughter and her fiance..... the food was more than great and served to perfection. A wonderful ambience and service greeted us. I wish we had such in Lakeland, Fl. It was by far, the best restaurant Ive visited in all of Florida.
Ella was terrific! Food was great! Will be back.
I had a wonderful experience. The staff and food are top-notch. It was our 1st time, AND my mothers birthday
Rebecca
It was our 1st time visiting. Our waitress Elmarie was amazing. Helped with recommendations and her customer service skills were amazing. Thank you Elmaire. We will return soon.
Great food and drinks, service was great
Tibbys had phenomenal entrees. I had the shrimp and grits and it was the best Ive ever had. The red wine sauce with the well made grits set the whole dish off. I highly recommend this place for creole food. Parking: Plenty of parking all around the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: We took our 20 month old and it was perfect. He also thoroughly enjoyed his food.
Carla was hands down the BEST server we ve ever had. She waS knowledgeable in the menu and recommendations. Her service was superb!
Carla was an amazing server. As a foodie one of the best Ive had. Tibbys brunch is incredible....bottlemless drinks and top notch food. I could spend every weekend there. Etouffee was lacking substantial shrimp or crayfish but the roux was tasty. And having lived in Louisiana it was the best red beans and rice Ive ever had.
Great food
Although we had really good service, it seemed like the food was missing something as I thought it was somewhat bland. Otherwise, the atmosphere was okay. As we were leaving, I noticed water on the floor, which had me concerned for my husband, who has mobility concerns, and I was afraid he might slip on their vinyl flooring. Unfortunately, I didnt see anyone I could express with. Im not sure if well be going back anytime soon.
I can t say enough about how amazing my experience at Tibbys was. Carla and Carlos were absolutely incredible, going above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. Ask for C&C. The food exceeded all expectations, with every dish perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The ambiance was just as impressive the environment was warm and welcoming, creating a great space to relax and enjoy our meal. One of the highlights was the live music, which added a lively and unique touch to the afternoon. We love traveling and dining here felt like a true getaway. We highly recommend Tibbys for anyone looking for an exceptional brunch experience. We will definitely be back!!!
Tibby s was a very enjoyable place to dine. The live saxophone player created a very entertaining atmosphere. The food was good but it could have been more Authentic food and seasoning from Louisiana.
Parking: Brandon location is always a good vibe. The live sax for brunch was great and played tons of hits old and new. The food was great, service was fast. Mimosas were well worth the bottomless prices. Overall a great experience. Food
Excellent live sax music during bruch. Shrimp po boy big enough for 2 OR I recommend the 1/2 size with a salad / under $20. Salads were very nice too.
It is worth a look. Not bad.
This is my sons favorite spot! Im not a fan of spicy, so Id avoided the place. My kids assured me there are mild menu options, too, so I gave in. I immediately loved the colorful decor. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. My kids ordered cocktails, as well as we ordered the gator, and I wish Id gotten a picture, I had to act fast before my dining companions got it all! Against my better judgment, I ordered the shrimp and grits. The problem was that it had just a little too much spicy for me, which almost everyone would love. I still ate almost all of it regardless, I just had to order a tall glass of milk, too. It was my sons birthday and they brought our desert with a candle for him.
I wish there was one in Tampa. The food is a great take on NOLA. Staff is awesome. The food was out promptly. So far, I have no complaints.
Excellent service and great food!
Wife and I split the Boudain rolls and they were Awesome. I had the Green Tomato BLT and shrimp gumbo. Best BLT Ive ever eaten. My wife had the Shrimp PO boy and she loved it! This place is probably just as good as Harrys
The food service and atmosphere was great during our Omega Psi Phi Grand Conclave in Tampa.
We came for the first time and will definitely be back. You can taste the love in the food. Guy was our server and he was phenomenal! Excellent suggestions that didnt miss. Would love to come back to hear the live music and explore the menu!
Great location and service, food wasn t up to par. Stall bread for the Poboys each time I went (ate there about 3 times). Catfish and chicken was very bland. This place has so much potential. Might go back to try another dish.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and we had a great time! The food was AMAZING, the atmosphere is fun, and a great experience overall. You have to try the grits and the onion rings.
Waiter, Gene, either failed to put in our appetizer or the kitchen didnt make it. Either way, he never came back to check on us for 30 mins to even take our food order. No appetizer when our food finally came out. No apology for it missing. He threw our food at us and left again. No salt, pepper or hot sauces on the table. He came back as we were 3/4 done with our meals and asked if anyone offered us hot sauce. We were never checked on or talked to by anyone but him. At this point it was too late. Other things to note, the floor was so slippery with grease that you couldnt walk. Ceiling near the bathroom was leaking. This used to be a place we used to bring groups to and enjoyed. No manager in site and the staff couldnt care less about the experience of the customer. Not a place Ill spend money at again.
Fun and different. If you re looking for quiet though, pick a different day to visit.
The music top notch, the drinks top notch. The food is another thing all together. NO FLAVOR They would do well to hire a chef with experience cooking real Louisiana cuisine. This is not it. They cant even make eggs and bacon taste flavorful. Next time I will sit at the bar and pull gumbo out of my purse.
Everything in this place works except for the manager, evidently. You sit people at a table in your bar area that has an A/C vent dripping right where you managed to have someone sitting . Then, walk by who knows how many times without a care in the world. Do your job ! Food
Loved the food very good and creole inspired !
One of the coolest places in the tampa area
Good service and great food
The prices that this establishment have just gone Unfortunately, beyond what I can justify close to $30 for Ritas, chicken is absurd. $10 begniets the same way.
Enjoyed Sunday brunch and the crayfish Benedict
Delicous food atmosphere and nate was great!
Being A native of New Orleans, I m very critical of the restaurants that claim to serve New Orleans food. Well Tibby s definitely delivered! The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, the service was awesome, and the ambience was impeccable! The waiter was extremely informative and attentive, and the manager walked around chatting with patrons and being extremely friendly. The decor was fascinating, and the artwork was A joy to embrace. I loved my dining experience and I look forward to returning again soon!
We came to Tibbys on a weekday. The service was very attentive and the food was delicious. I hear they are more busy on the weekends. My wifes family is from New Orleans and she has been there several times. She said the food was very authentic and had the best beignet since she got to Florida.
Place is absolutely awesome Dietary restrictions: Amazing food and service Parking: Lots of spaces Kid-friendliness: Very friendly
Went there for lunch yesterday. The food was amazing. I had the Rita s chicken. The best thing there in my opinion. Our server Guy did a great job.
Amazing food, ambiance and service. I had the Gator bites and fried roast beef were to die for! Gumbo was awesome!
Ella was our server and she was an absolute delight! We will definitely be back
Ella is amazing! She has a bubbly personality and stays on top of her tables. You won t be disappointed if she is your server. Maw fries is an appetizer but it is so huge it easily fills in as a meal. The dirty rice, cheese grits and beignets are also really delicious. Parking: Plenty of spaces just watch out for pot holes. Kid-friendliness: Our young daughter loves the decorations , she always finds something new to look at.
Sarina was excellent. Always love it here and she went above and beyond with some great suggestions.
Came with several friends and had the best evening. The food was incredible, the service was over the top, and the manager accommodated our every request. Highly recommend this place.
We were looking for a good place to have breakfast. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. Food was fantastic. Will want to come back when I come to visit my parents!
Food was very good excellent selection. Our server was very informative and helpful will loads of information about the food choices. Parking: Good parking
The service was excellent, the food was yummy & the atmosphere was perfect New Orleans fare. We had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. Our entries were chicken & andoullie sausage gumbo. As well as fried shrimp basket with sweet potato fries To top it all off, we had beignets with Brandy sauce. Yummy all the way around. Mary Bell did a fantastic job.
Ella was excellent as well as the food!
Ella is the best!!!!
Ella she was perfect 10 starts Food
Ella was a fantastic server!! Very knowledgeable with the menu. Her suggestions were on point !! Very personable. Well definitely return and request her. Delicious food from appetizers to the desserts. Only improvement I d suggest Turn the music down. The manger David was very attentive and Checked with all the tables. Parking: Easy and free parking lot.
Tibbys is one of of favorite places to go. The food is GREAT, the people are friendly and the atmosphere reminds me of New Orleans.
We came for a birthday dinner. Food and service was great!
We love the experience-food and services thank you some much Rebecca
Ella was great!
Sunday brunch is our favorite. The live music is amazing, the atmosphere is great, food is great & reasonably priced. The staff is very kind and services is excellent! One of our favorite places!

Food was wonderful. Such great flavors, portions, and options. The atmosphere was so fun. Had wonderful employees who greeted you and were polite. Would recommend!
My first time at Tibby s was an amazing experience! I ordered from the Sunday brunch menu. I had the etoufee hollaindaise with a fruit side. My husband had the chicken and waffles. We also ordered a flash fried shrimp appetizer. AND a Famous Hurricane! All was Yummy! Then came the original beignets and the King s cake beignets! Delicious and warm! The Live saxophonist was so much fun and very talented! Upbeat N awlins atmosphere reenacted in this place! Ella, our server was AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable about the menu items and has the PERFECT personality for her job. She s super sweet and attentive to customer s needs. A real blessing for Tibby s to have on board! Vegetarian options: Pick and choose. You know how we do!
Great atmosphere and food hit the spot!
Enjoyed everything!
Maribel and Anthony were amazing bartenders! Especially Anthony due to his menu knowledge.
Food was amazing and Ellas service was great!
The food was quite tasty and Carla was super attentive and pleasant! David also ensured our dining experience was fantastic from start to finish! Will definitely return for Sunday brunch!
Rebecca is the Best!!!!
Rebecca is an amazing waitress. She is very pleasant and highly professional.
Rebecca was wonderful! Attentive and personable. Vegetarian options: Nothing Parking: Lots to choose
Rebecca was our server and she did an exceptional job
Rebecca was amazing! She was attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.
The service was great. The server was really friendly. I really liked the New Orleans memorabilia and the uniqueness of the piano used for the host stand. However, the food was not great. It did not taste like the authentic cuisine that I had in New Orleans.
Guy is an amazing manager and bartender. Highly recommended.
Everything was outstanding, New Orleans without the road trip.
Our server Melissa was very knowledgeable about the restaurant, explained the menu completely and was warm and welcoming. I will absolutely be returning for her wonderful service as much as the great food.
Great food great service Wheelchair accessibility: Awesome food and service Food : 5/5 |
Server: Mielissa as always fantastic
I always have a great meal and a great time at Tibby s. Today was no exception, great service too!
Melissa is great ! Awesome service
Ella was terrific!!
Sagan was awesome!!! outstanding service.. will come back due to her hospitality! Food
Sadie was our waitress and an absolute. 10/10. 100/100. Would come again!
This place is awesome! The jazz saxophonist made the mood so relaxing and inviting. The food was fantastic, and had a true New Orleans taste. It is almost like the soul food was cooked on Bourbon St, and shipped to Brandon. The server and staff were welcoming. However, hats off to the bus team. Nick made sure that every table was cleaned and set for the next guest. If the table was not perfectly set, and not ready he stopped and made the correction. So many times restaurants miss the teamwork, but today he made sure the team work was there. If you are looking for New Orleans outside of LA then Tibbys is the spot.
Nate and staff were amazing. Atmosphere is great. Ill be back every sunday
Our server did a good job. Was attentive. The food is SUPER salty. Everything. 3 people 3 entree 1 appetizer. I sampled everything ..All too salty for me. It was an okay experience but I dont think I will return. Food
Rebecca was nice and felt with my loud annoying family perfectly and gave me birthday candle for me and my brothers birthday thank you.
Party of 6 with one toddler. Appetizers abd entrees. Lots of questions. Waitress was on it! No complaints. Food was wonderful!! Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space for little ones to wal around table. Very accommodating for kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat egress
Food was delicious....... So were the drinks . Music was a vibe as expected and staff was very attentive and friendly.
Good service, great food! David and Serena are awesome!
Customer service here is excellent. Still amazing food never disappointed
Fantastic food in a lively, friendly atmosphere. Very deserving of its stellar reputation!
10/10 must try when in Brandon. Especially weekend brunch!
Awesome Awesome Awesome I felt like I was back in NOLA...
Great Vibes! Service and the greeting at the door makes you feel at home! Food is reasonable and large portions! Taste is authentic as it good be for that New Orleans feel! Highly recommend! Food : 5/5 |
The food and atmosphere were awesome.
Not a big variety of healthy meals.
This was our first time here. It was absolutely amazing. The food was soo good I could not stop eating it even though I was exploding full. We will be back fo sure!!
Loved their brunch bottomless!!!! The food was amazing and our server was awesome!!!
Food was great but some stuff was over salty, sever kept our glasses full, food was great. I would definitely recommend coming here. Kid-friendliness: Fun decorations
Really great restaurant. Friendly, attentive service and fresh, flavorful food!
Really enjoyed our Sunday brunch with the sax musician!
We just moved to this area, today was my Husbands Birthday and he loves cajun foods. But this was absolute garbage. They completely forgot the cheese frys for the kids. The chicken tenders were completely dry and overcooked. My husband says he s had better grits and gator bites at other places. The drippin chicken was gross and over cooked. Looks like we won t be returning.
Absolutely love this place. Been eating there for years. Worth the drive from Seminole. Big fan of the Gumbo and Ritas Chicken. You will not be disappointed.
Really enjoyed Tibbys and the Sax player was and is amazing! We will be back!
Food was phenomenal a couple of years ago, but my last visit was mediocre. The menu choices have also been minimized. The manager was awesome, but in my opinion, the food is now overrated and overpriced. I was stationed in Louisiana for 5 years, so I know Cajun food. Unfortunately, Tibbys missed the mark during my last visit.
Had dinner here with my family. The food was great. Ill be back soon.
Food was great! But waiting for seating and food took a really long time! About an hour each......food was great though!!
Tibbys is the place to go for New Orleans style food. Our server J was very attentive & informative. Large portions.
If you love Nola and live in Tampa visit this restaurant. Tibbys New Orleans kitchen will provide New Orleans inspired dishes while the providing a clean (not New Orleans like in that sense) environment decorated with New Orleans based items. The place is cool inside but feels more like a Vegas version of New Orleans. Lacks the live music, old buildings and historic feel (because only Nola can ever provide that) but still a cool place to be in. The food is more Nola inspired than authentic Nola but still delicious. Bottomless mimosas/bloody Mary s or sangria available during brunch. Overall a 4 star rating. Prices are Nola compatible if you know what I mean.
Havent been to Tibbys in months The menu has changed and not for the better We ordered a Muffaletta and I dont know why you changed the bread but you need to change it back There was no flavor to the sandwich at all ! we brought it home removed the bread and had to doctor it up SO VERY DISAPPOINTED Our waitress was great though Parking: lots of parking
Awesome food
So we went for lunch, and we each got one of the seafood baskets. My partner got the fried shrimp with french fries, and I got a combination of fried shrimp and crawfish with sweet potato fries. The shrimp or plump in incredibly fresh tasting. The crawfish was tiny but plentiful. The remoulade sauce was good as was their tartar sauce. I guess my only real complaint was that the food just didnt taste like New Orleans. Ive had a good number of fried shrimp and poor boys from there in my time and it just felt like I was eating a fried shrimp basket from any old place. Surface was great but it use a little spice. Even the fries were, ehh. For the price in the atmosphere it was pretty good, I think well give em another shot and Im going to try the etouffee well see how that goes.
We called and spoke to a manager about getting a booth reserved at 4:15 pm on Sunday. We explained that we have a 45-minute drive to get there. He said it was no problem. When we arrived, a blond girl said there were no booths available for us. We asked how long the wait would be. She rudely stated that she has no idea when people will finish eating and leave. So we left. How rude!!! Then she called us 5 minutes later to tell us our booth is ready. Too late. Parking: Limited
The food was excellent. The service was lousy. Waitress did not come back to check on drinks at all. We saw her when we ordered and when she finally came with the bill almost an hour later. Luckily someone else brought out the food when it was ready and it was hot and wonderful.
Crawfish Etoufee is perfect!
I had the bbq shrimp and Ritas chicken with dirty rice. The shrimp were big and overcooked. Didnt even know it was bbq shrimp because I didnt taste any bbq. The chicken was basic, and the dirty rice wasnt dirty at all... Overall bland and disappointing. Being from New Orleans I never have high expectations of restaurants that claim to be NO style but the Big Easy bar is much better...but Ive only had the yaki meat there and thats New Orlasns style all day
