This is a very busy bakery/all foods yummy place for a good reason! The owner and staff are friendly. They make the BEST pizzas! Can't wait to go back!
Where to start? This is one of my absolute favorite spots in Brandon. The staff are super friendly and it is a very cute and amazing family run small business! Everything is locally sourced and amazing quality which is relay important to me and I don't mind paying more to support all kinds of local shops. The pizza is the best pizza in VT, it's the best pizza I've ever had and I've tried pizza in multiple different countries that have never compared. The baked goods are super delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend you make this apart of your stop if you come to Brandon. BEST PIZZA EVER!!! It's also great for picnics or charcuterie boards! They've got everything from Lattes, to amazing paninis, to local mustards!??
I have been almost a daily customer for the last six months. Honestly i’m single and live alone. I also have a disability so cooking healthy food from scratch has always been very challenging. I went into Morningside in late April or early May and got one of my favorite sandwiches my dad used to bring to me when I was in the hospital a couple years ago for a long time. Not only was it delicious but the space had been redone from the previous owners and it was warm and inviting. The staff was extremely friendly and everything was organized well, it was well lit and everything was clean and tidy. Earlier in this summer they started offering wood fired pizzas. I have always been a traditional pizza person and not a huge fan of wood fired options. Not anymore! Matt (one of the owners) and his pizza making team use nothing with the freshest ingredients sourced from local resources and it is the most incredible pizza I’ve ever tasted. So much so that I’ve made it my Thursday night routine! Lastly, their prices are extremely fair! Like I said I can’t cook for myself and I go here on average once a day for my main meal of the day and it is by far cheaper than going to the grocery store and buying some frozen food that probably taste like cardboard. I know what you’re thinking, how can eating at a bakery every day be helpful well, let me answer that question! I had a physical in July and my blood pressure was down 25 points, my heart rate was down and even though I treat myself to a pastry or a cookie a couple Times a week my diabetes markers were lower than they’ve ever been. Carrie, Matt and the rest of the Morningside team use nothing but the freshest ingredients again sourced from established local partners… Not just the taste but the quality of the ingredients really does matter as well! I truly cannot say enough good things about Morningside, their food their staff their environment everything about their business is top-notch!
This place was hoppin! The barista was super busy with lunch orders, but was careful to get our espresso coffee drink orders just right. Great selection of baked goods. Nice outside patio seating for patrons walking dogs.
Amazing food and amazing people! Morningside always offers a great experience as soon as you walk in the door. The breakfast offerings are delicious and baked to perfection, the sandwiches are incredibly flavorful, and the wood fired pizzas are out of this world! I highly recommend checking them out.
Great wood fired pizza! 🙌 It hit the spot after a half marathon. Loved that we could schedule our order for when they started baking, very friendly staff. An amazing selection of beverages to accompany our food. No indoor seating, but we sat right outside and enjoyed a beautiful fall day. I would definitely make the hour plus drive from our house to return!
Food is outstanding! Had the wood fried pizza for the first time and was blown away. I chose the white pizza with ricotta and it did not disappoint. Some of my favorite options at the cafe include the ham & cheese croissant, the quiche (of any variety), also the leek and parmesan croissant. The desserts are also delicious, the flourless chocolate cake is my personal fave but anything you choose will be amazing, trust me! I highly recommend stopping in for a friendly hello and a delicious meal, treat, or coffee! So glad we have such a wonderful locally spot in town!
This place has new owners - a hard working family. There's a definite uptick in the quality of the pastries offered - there’s a certain heartiness to their pastries now. Every one of the pastries we've tried has been very tasty. They also now prepare unique pizzas - way different from the run-of-the-mill pizza and really good. If you like trying different flavor combinations, these are for you! The pizza maker has a knack for combining different flavors that are really good. Lots of top notch wine and craft beer plus unique local shelf products. Definite thumbs up to these new folks. We're glad they re-named the business since they bought it; that's a good thing since the new operation is noticeably better than the former.

This review was for cafe provence bakery FYI. I do not know if its the same employees now.. This is such a Kool spot to stop for so many local goodies if youre passing through but also well liked for yrs! In Sept, I was traveling 1k mi to come back home for our Mermaid/Sea Themed gender reveal & this was the only bakery I wanted to get the cake from but also that responded properly! They made it easy, worked with me & it was such a reasonable price compared to another quote I got! As someone whos done a lot of baking, Im picky about frosting & it was perfect! Cake was super moist even days later lol. I couldnt have asked for a better outcome to the Gender Reveal the cake I wanted! They know what theyre doing Everyone loved it Thank you!!

Driving from Randolph to Brandon, we were parched, and hungry midmorning. My partners in travel needed restrooms, ( clean and tidy) . I was in need of a snack. I picked 2 cookies, ginger crinkle, and cowboy cookie. Reasonably priced, fresh and delicious. Popped for a hot chocolate, fresh steamed milk delicious! Worth the trek over the mountain.

The staff was outstanding catering to my special needs order and facilitated it quickly. Very professional and friendly. Our order was delicious and the bakery offered many options. Cute little shop right in the center of towns.

Stopped off in a long journey and found this treasure stop. Delicious Vermonter toasted sourdough sandwich, mmm.
I loved this place and stopped every time I passed through Brandon. Today I stopped in and picked up a Tiramisu . It was filled with cream cheese, and tasted like a refrigerator. Just awful. You don t offer a ton of sweets, so the few that you offer should be excellent. Taste your desserts often, and keep your refrigerators clean and fresh. And please be more authentic with your offerings.
Just had the most amazing croissant! It was absolutely out of this world!
Such a cool shoppe. Latte was delicious! We loved finding wax sealed cheddar and different jars of ferments. Lots of cool eclectic cold drinks and there was a vegan sorbet in the freezer! Big win for us. Restroom is upstairs.
This review was for Cafe Provence Bakery.... Im not sure how the new owners will do. Good luck!! They did a amazing job on our mermaid cake. I was surprised how well it came out. The cake didnt just look good it was amazing the chocolate was moist and flavorful not to sweet the frosting went well with the cake.
My wife and I had a wonderful lunch here. Fresh everything and service with a smile. Looking forward to trying the pizza!
Sandwiches are expensive. $9 for a sandwich with very little meat on it. Pastries and desserts are great but I definitely wont waste my money on a sandwich or salad again.

The grand reopening was excellent! The newly renamed Morningside Bakery WFP&P has similar (the same?) delicious offerings as before the update and even more charm. The space is newly painted, polished, and revamped and it feels bright and clean inside. They kept all the good stuff - local alcohol & ice cream, the best bagels & flaky pastries and made it all feel fresh and new. I havent had the pizza yet but everyone I talk to in town loves it so its definitely on the go-back-for list. The folks that work here are so pleasant and helpful. They dont rush you but are ready to take your order and ring you up. Also a plus, at 10am the decaf was still hot! Decaf is so often neglected and cold after a shops morning rush and I wouldnt blame them if it was, it isnt the most popular. I just assumed Id take it home and reheat it but no, it was the perfect temp even after I added cream! Magic.
Morningside is everything you want from a bakery. The Morning Bun is the stuff of my dreams, the baristas are friendly and today when I went in I saw a friend that I haven t otherwise seen in a while. A community gathering spot that is friendly to everyone. Gem.
Grand Re-opening was a hit. Updates are classic and beautiful. But the real winner is the currant scones, almond crossiants and strawberry cheese danish. The owners are wonderful people and their bakery is a gem of Brandon, VT!!
Went in today for the first time since the ownership has changed. Beautiful bright space, great local products to choose from, and friendly folks. Put together an assortment of foodie items for a present for my mom for her birthday. Looking forward to trying the wood fired pizza soon! Excited to go back.

Everything I have tried here has been great, and I really love the big salads for lunch. I havent had a chance to get the pizza yet, though! The update is a very open and clean look. I love when I can get fun food gifts for people here, too.

Best little bakery and provision shop around! Being gluten free can be hard and annoying especially when it comes to baked goods. I love that I can go in and have a variety of options not only for pastries but with the wood fire pizzas as well. Their wine selection is amazing. It s so convenient to have such good wines locally. Great coffee drinks. Great place to get pastries and cakes for the holidays. The staff is friendly and helpful. All around, it s our favorite little shop. Keep up the good work :) we love coming in!

Same great pastries in a freshly painted and refreshed storefront in beautiful downtown Brandon. The wood fired pizza is FANTASTIC! Order ahead- they are great at scheduling pick ups! Their pizza goes tastefully with Red Clover Ale Co. brews. A match made in heaven.
This is such a hidden Gem in the heart of Brandon VT. They have an amazing selection of freshly baked pastries, gluten free options and newly an amazing wood fired pizza selection. Service is always so welcoming and it is such an amazing family that owns it.

Their delectable pastries are a delight for any food enthusiast, a ton of local products and the addition of a new wood-fired pizza adds a savory twist to the ever-expanding menu. This bakery has become a cherished spot in the community capturing the hearts of both locals and out-of-town guests. Its a regular destination for my dad who lives in Brandon and a must-visit for me during my trips from Oregon. Cant wait for my next visit!

Amazing pizza! Had the goat cheese, bacon and date pizza tonight! Salty from the bacon, tangy from the goat cheese, sweet from the dates, a perfect combo! All of the staff had a smile on their faces and were happy to be there welcoming the customers! A great community vibe with even better food!

Love this place! I ordered a fruit tart and a berry pie for the holidays that were so delicious! I m a big fan of the pizza, salads, and yummy chocolate chip cookies. I find the folks working the counter to be very friendly, helpful, and efficient.
Run, don t walk to Morningside Bakery, Wood-fired pizza & Provisions! They are excellent.The pastries and other goodies - both sweet and savory - are delicious. My personal favorites are the morning buns and the leek & Parmesan croissant. They make a good latte. They provide quiches, sandwiches, soup, and salads for a lunch. And their wood fired pizza is chef s kiss worthy. Explore their wine and beer selection and other provisions. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service is wonderful. You can sit in the wine room and enjoy a pastry and coffee (in the summer they have tables outside) or take it to go. Or on a weekend evening order a pizza or 3 to share with friends at the Red Clover microbrewery next door while participating in open mic or trivia or listen to a local musicians. Dietary restrictions: They now offer a few gluten free options.

We got coffee & croissants to go. The croissants were very good. They had a lot of cakes and desserts for sale, they looked beautiful. It is a cozy place. You can eat in at a small counter or when the weather allows there is seating outside.
I went to pick up a cake that had been made for me, picked up a baguette to see how it might be. Outstanding to both, the cake was ordered by someone who lives over a thousand miles away and the bakery nailed it! The cake tasted great as well, chocolate dressed up nicely.
We love this bakery and often stop for cookies or other treats. We had a cake made for our daughter s birthday and it was just so beautiful and delicious!

Adorable shop full of local and French goodies. We bought local and French cheese, wines and beers. Locals praised the coffee. Unfortunately it was too late in the day for us to try but it smelled heavenly.

I am always happy & eager to patronize a local business above a chain. Ive only ever had Gourmet Provences baked goods in the display case. And their coffee, which I find is excellent (and they offer dairy alternative, as well). However, I have 2 complaints, which Ive mentioned a few times to whoever is waiting on me, yet nothing has changed. One, is the odd/hurried customer service. In the 6 months that Ive lived in Brandon I have yet to be allowed a few moments to look at their menu or peruse their selection in the cases because whoever is behind the counter is always in a hurry. What can I get for you? before Ive even had a chance to look in the case. When I say I want a chance to look at your menu/the items in the cases she will just stand there looking at ME over the case, following me from case to case, while saying Do you know what you want yet? No! I dont even know what you have! So, I end up just getting a muffin or cookie because I feel too pressured! I understand at the moment about the 6 rule & no more than 4 people in store, etc. So I try to only go at times when theres no one in the bakery. The other complaint is when I am handed my change it is dumped in my hand, coins on top of bills, on top of receipt. Yes, I get it that she is deathly afraid should her fingertips touch my hand but they immediately use hand sanitizer afterward anyway. Ive asked if I can be handed the coins first so that I have a chance to slip them into my purse because juggling the coins, bills & receipt in one hand is awkward! Aside from that, the muffins & cookies are good & the coffee is excellent!

The prepared food, wine and gourmet foods selection is outstanding. There is nothing comparable in this part of Vermont. Well worth a visit.

BEST FRENCH BAKERY IN VERMONT Croissants and sticky buns baked to perfection. Moist on the inside caramelized sugar outside. Also has imported deli and condiments.

Great bakery and grocery store with a large selection of wines in the back. You can get take out meals from Cafe Provence which is owned by the same people. We took the desserts home because we were still full from lunch at the cafe. The desserts were amazing. You can also get hot tea and coffee there. If you want bread, make sure you come in the morning as they sell out quickly.
