We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for an open and accessible food place post Hurricane Milton. I had the special for the day, pesto tortellini with prosciutto and it was so good. It was HOT and fresh, the best meal I’ve had during this whole ordeal for sure. Really delicious local Italian food 🙌Thank you for serving us!
When passing through Brandon I often stop in and enjoy a good meal at Allegria Italiana. Food and people are usually great. My most recent visit was sub par though. Francesco was awesome, however the other gentleman (possibly a manager?) avoided my table and was borderline rude. (I tried to get his attention to ask a question and he acted like he didn’t see) Don’t know if he was having a bad day or maybe I was just not welcomed there that day. Food was good as always.
I didn’t know how good chicken Alfredo could taste outside of my own kitchen as I rarely eat out. But this is The BEST Alfredo I’ve ever ate! I placed a Togo order yesterday the women who serviced me was a gem! I will be back to try more things. Staff was friendly and welcoming upon arrival even though I was not dining in I was treated just the same. Thank you for my delicious dinner I ate every last bite with enjoyment! Such a very pleasant expirence.
This was such a rare place for me and my husband. We were just in the area, and I was craving pasta. Found this place recommended on Google maps. It's very hidden. Doors have curtains. From the outside, you will never guess what's inside. When inside, it transforms into this fancy, romantic place. We were taken care of by like 3 people. The experience was great. The food was amazing! I had the Gnocchi with spinach and chicken. My husband had the pasta Alfredo with chicken and an appetizer that was mixture between mozzarella stick and grilled cheese dipped in marinara sauce. What an experience!
I like to be honest on my personal view about places. Anyone can be nice. Anyone can make good good. But they don't! I'm picky about flavor, ordered the lasagna and it is very good. Nice flavor not too much cheese not too much meat, just right. I do wish they had booths here due to my bad back, but the seating is adequately spaced. This restaurant really shines in customer service. I'm surprised every table isn't filled with a waiting list but surprisingly only 4 tables are seated. I witnessed the waiters being overly accommodating. They are all so nice and attentive it feels like they genuinely care. We will be back!
In town visiting and our Aunt suggested we come. Everything is perfect. Absolutely no complaints. Perfect serving sizes. Look forward to visiting again. Don’t pass up on this place.
Our first time here. Beautiful ❤️ authentic Italian restaurant. Ordered Calamari Fritti for an appetizer. This is hands down the best in the area !!! Cooked to perfection & light as a feather. ( Many overcook it) Then onto the entree, beyond DELICIOUS 💖 both prepared to perfection. Our server Danielle was a sweetheart, excellent staff. Wonderful owner & chef. We will definitely be back & look forward to trying another delicious dish. Better than West Shore !!! Highly recommend to anyone wanting Authentic Italian food lovingly prepared. Smaller more intimate restaurant, yet enough space for everyone. Make a reservation. Thank You -)))
Absolutely fantastic service. Classic old school style hospitality and ambiance. Food was homemade and delicious. Way better than the box store Italian places. Bread was fresh and plentiful and our glasses were never empty. Would strongly encourage a visit here.
Dietary restrictions: They are very cautious and aware of cross contamination. I felt really safe ordering with them. Food
Just so so. Had Caprese salad that could have been better had the tomatoes not been refrigerated. My flattened pork chop wasnt bad but was over-fried and greasy. Caesar salad dressing had too much vinegar-couldnt eat it Mussels in broth were pretty good. Not running back and time soon. Parking: Tight and not enough spots
Food is on point service and environment was great Nice hole in the wall Italian spot will come back Food : 5/5
I had the chicken parmigiana wasnt good at all wasnt even done right. It was so bad didnt even eat it. Want a waste of money
Excellent Food. Great customer service!
We love this place! Food always fabulous. Service impeccable. A true gem!
My favorite place for Italian in Brandon/Riverview. The food is always fresh and the pricing is pretty reasonable. Their gnocchi Bolognese is some of the best Ive had and their meat lasagna is the only lasagna Ill eat out and about. The service is always great. I will say, its worth checking out their prices first. This is a nice establishment with cloth napkins etc and the pricing reflects that.
Food is outstanding! Staff is very friendly and efficient.
Delicious Italian food, well be back for sure.
Love this place
Lovely atmosphere, very helpful, fast employees. Egg Plant Parmesan had a little to much tomato sauce for me, large serving of Egg Plant made me smile. We did not have a reservation & the wait was short at 5:00 p.m. I will make a reservation next time.
Service was great, food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. Will definitely be back.
Ventured out looking for a fresh hot meal and stumbled onto this place. Food was great, service was awesome. We cleared all our plates and my son started begging to go back before we even got home. Were all going through it right now and they made sure we had a good meal, even got sent home with some canolis which were amazing!
I didn t have a reservation, but there was a table available for my daughter and I. The woman seating us was very rude and so unwelcoming, but our waiter Jerry made up for her behavior. He was very welcoming and cheered us up. He complemented us with cannolis. I had eggplant parmesan, it was very good. Sauce was tasty, needed to be a little thicker though. Loved the fresh mozzarella on the eggplant. My daughter enjoyed her pasta.
We dine at Allegria often. Not only is the food always excellent, the service and the atmosphere is on point! Food is authentic and far superior to chain restaurants!! We are treated like family every time we are there!!
Went here on a first date and the vibe was amazing, everyone was so nice, and the food was divine!! Special shoutout to Jerry- he was phenomenal!!
Rhe most delicious food Ive had at a restaurant. They make you feel like family. Ill go no where else. Thanks ro all the wonderful staff.
Nice little place with good food. Very authentic. The place is setup nice for a romantic dinner with your significant other. I will visit again.
Dont order food to go from this place. The woman behind the counter taking to-go orders was extremely rude and judgmental. When I tried to add a dessert to my order, she told me they dont give to-go cups and that they dont have desserts. She even said, We dont have cheesecake, you must have the wrong place, despite the clear image of cheesecake at the restaurant. The staff stared at me in a way that made me feel very uncomfortable. I visited at 6:40 PM on a Sunday, not exactly a busy Saturday night. Unless youre dressed up, I wouldnt recommend going there.
This place is divine!
Awesome service, fantastic food, great for a date night. Loved practicing my Italian with the owner!!
Excellent!
Our first time here; there will be many more!!! The menu is greatly, the wine list is awesome and they have a lot of beers to select from. I would ve liked to see a bar and Sambucca for after dinner but the wine did not dissappoint. Danielle was absolutely INCREDIBLE as well as the rest of the staff. She tolerated my stupid jokes and pointing out misspellings on the menu. The night was great and I can t wait to work my way through the rest of the menu over the coming months.
You cant miss this restaurant. Go try and let the world know!
Excellent place
Wow, this is the best Italian I ve had since moving to Florida, you HAVE to get a cappuccino after dinner, it was also the best cappuccino I ve had in recent memory!
Our dinner was fantastic. Cooked to perfection. Place is getting busier and reservations are recommended. Has a wine list for those wanting something to accompany their meal.
The food is amazing and the service is excellent!
Food was just ok. Bread, Ceasar salad and Veal Parm all just ok. Was not worth the $100.00+ price for 2.
Nice food and friendly staff. Recommended!
5 stars feels less than what this restaurant deserves I ve been coming here since 2023 and every single time (plenty) I ve felt so at home, comfortable, and the food is delicious the people here are like family specially Danyela and Frank, they re so caring and sweet, love how Danyela remembers us everytime, like I said is like you never left home
This place is an absolute hidden gem. The food is amazing and the service is even better. This restaurant has a very cozy and romantic atmosphere. They really make you feel like home. Our server Francesco made our experience extraordinary, he was great. We ordered the chicken and the veal parmigiana, gnocchi and eggplant rollatini: the food was absolutely delicious! We will be definitely coming back.
Great food and ambiance
Delicious food, and excellent service
This establishment provides exceptional Italian cuisine, reminiscent of traditional home cooking. It is highly recommended over chain restaurants for an authentic Italian dining experience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. A perfect place to enjoy a date night or a night with friends. We love the Intimate atmosphere, not to mention the delicious food and wine choices. Parking: Front parking shares small space with 2 other restaurants, however there is parking in the back which is well lit.
The food was amazing, and our server Francesco was the best.
Made a same day reservation for 7 people and they were able to accept and accommodate two more people which was amazing! The food was good, classic homemade style Italian food, a little over priced. Do not recommend the pizza, it s definitely not a pizza place. The service was ok, people in our party asked for a bottle of wine and never received it, somebody in our party was never given a glass of water or bread plate until we asked. When we ordered coffee were asked if we wanted sugar, we answered yes but the sugar didn t arrive and we had to get up and get it ourselves. I would still fine again, it s conveniently close and settles my Italian food craving.
I have heard about this place and was starving so stopped in after the gym today for take out. I got the spaghetti n meatballs and since these days servings are typically very small I asked helping size and to add more. The adult dinner comes with 2 meatballs and a very nice woman advised me to get an adult order and childs order. The food was excellent, the meatballs large (not the little golf ball sizes these days). And the adult portion filled me up alone. That rarely happens these days! Very good food and nice staff. I am very happy I finally tried this place. Will definitely be a steady customer. Very nice staff and great food.
I give this place 10 stars best italian restaurant in tampa frank was alsome u need to try this place
First trip there. Food, service, atmosphere could not have been better. Wonderful staff.
Vegetarian options: Eggplant Food
A very happy accident of a find. We were visiting the area and had plans to go to a different restaurant but traffic and closed streets for an event made it impossible so we headed out of Tampa and found Allegria on line. Best Italian food that we have had in a long time. Really enjoyed the eggplant rollatini and if not super hungry it works for a dinner. Tirimasu is delish.
Great Italian restaurant!! Food is authentic, a good selection of wines, and the wait staff are amazing! Very attentive, knowledgeable, and most important fun! We were there celebrating a birthday, and our waiter went above & beyond to ensure it was spectacular!!
This little restaurant is definitely on my favorites list. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Chicken parm is this and breaded perfectly, and the pasta is aldente as it should be. Whether you call it gravy or sauce, it is full of flavor and worth a try. My only critique is to keep the fresh crusty bread coming to the table, I was left with none to mop my plate at the completion and nothing during my meal. Price is where it should be for the quality of the dishes. This place only has like 15 tables and they fill quickly so I would suggest a reservation.
Spaghetti!!!!!
Great food and service. The dining room could use a makeover. The food made up for it. Cheers
It was good but not amazing
After 2 years living in Italy my standards for Italian food is very high. Allegria did not disappoint! The calamari fritti melted in my mouth. My eggplant parmigiana was possibly the best Ive ever had. And the lemoncello cake - I wanted to lick the plate. Im just mad I didnt find this place earlier
I had a decent time here. I did have a few complaints or constructive criticisms that I would like to State here. The service and servers I felt were pretty bad for a place of this etiquette. Felt like the servers had too many tables and couldnt accommodate the ones needed. The tables were too close to the next table. I could easily reach out, not even full extension and reach the next table. This is not ideal for a couple who are trying to have an intimate conversation or night and theres someone right next to you. The food was good. I had no issues with that. The owner did save and step in when needed. I think these are issues that could be overcome and this could be a great Italian place in Brandon.
Good service, very familiar atmosphere, typical Italian food.
The food was delicious. We are new to the area and we were looking for an Italian restaurant to celebrate my birthday. 100% recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely perfect !! The food is excellent and the service was just amazing.
Great true Italian dishes for an intimate and romantic evening. We had the veal parmesan and the chicken parmesan. The chicken was a double chicken breast and is my recommendation of the two.
My first visit. You never know what to expect. The biggest negative is they looked closed from the outside. I almost left. But upon entering it was quaint cozy place. Please light up the windows and outside. To start the girl hostess gave me the menu upside down which I thought was odd. Francisco was by far one of the best servers I ve ever experienced in all dining places. Very attentive. Knowledgeable and thorough. Food was good. Has shrimp appetizer and gnocchis spinac. Good portions. I was sadly disappointed in the dessert as it boxed but not even a good box one. Overall I d rate 3.5 of 5. Service made this place stand out.
Great food and service, no liquor is my only miss, but, good wine.
Just finished eating dinner here and almost afraid to say how great it is. Really not sure why there isn t a huge wait to get in! It is a little off the main road so that might be why The food was great! I had the lasagna and it was huge! Enough for two meals. My husband had the tortellini special and it was amazing. They have a nice list of wines from small Italian vineyards that you can t get anywhere else. This is definitely one of Brandon s best kept secrets! We will definitely be back!
Got a shrimp Scampi, was okay! Super friendly staff. Old school restaurant & ambiance. Wish menu has more options. Such as, shrimp Alfredo at the price of Shrimp Scampi without the additional $10 price surcharge.
Sat on hold for over 10 mins before I gave up on my call and just came in to place my order. Food was bland and unremarkable. Large portion size on the chicken parm but it was so dry I had a hard time cutting through to take a bite. A side of meatballs was $9 for two, I m pretty confident that these are a frozen premade meatball. As far as the entrees that I ordered, you could get the same quality from just about any pizza place. Service was quick when I arrived Atmosphere wise - there was a musical act from a keyboard player who sounded like a child playing along to Chopsticks or Mary had a little lamb which I actually though was hilarious There are some much better quality places to spend your money
The food is very good. Reservations are highly suggested as it is a small dining room with a good reputation. Parking: There is parking all around this small strip store. The parking in front of the restaurant is very limited but plenty when you go behind.
Amazing authentic Italian eating! Great food! You can thank me later
First time there was a great experience. Great food, great service and a very elegant atmosphere. Reasonably priced for the food quality. We will be going back.
I have been to Allegria several times and have always had great food and great service. I was first introduced to it on my bday several years ago. Last night I spent another birthday there! Best food and service I ve had there yet!!!!! Our Waiter was attentive, funny and made great suggestions! His service really made our night!!! I also love that everytime I ve been there the owner always comes and talks to us! Great little restaurant everyone should try!!!! You will keep going back!
Delicious, authentic Italian food. Cozy, quaint atmosphere. Friendly service. It was our first time here and we enjoyed every aspect of our visit. We will be back soon! Vegetarian options: There were a few vegetarian options. About what you would expect.
My first time visiting this magnificent gem of an Italian Restaurant. Like something out of Billy Joels song. The service was 1st class. The staff was personable and fantastic. The food was the best Italian I have had since living in Tampa Bay the last 35+ years. I recommend making reservations and experiencing this one of a kind spot. You will not be disappointed!
A true Italian, New York style cuisine, staff very personable, very accomodating, very professional, good mannerisms, and ethics, food is out of this world, very, very good, would recommend to all. Cook is exceptional. A place where there is live music as well.
The service was excellent, and the food was amazing. Would extremely recommend this restaurant.
My boyfriend and I went to Allegria Italiana Restaurant in Brandon, FL for Valentines Day - 2024 for the first time. The atmosphere was nice but it would have been better if they were playing some romantic Italian music. You could hear some music in the distant behind there counter but not in the eating area. The service was great, the servers were very attentive to your needs and courteous. The food was mediocre and disappointing. I ordered the chicken marsala, the chicken was bland and not seasoned, the sauce was very watery, and the wine was not burnt off before serving it. You could still taste the liquor flavor in the sauce. The noodles were cooked well and tasted good. The caesar salad was over killed with dressing, and the vinegar in the dressing was over powering. The thought the sweet iced tea tasted nice. My boyfriend ordered the Tour of Italy. It came with a Chicken Parmigiana which he did not like, the chicken and breading was really dry and did not have a lot of flavor. The meatballs were okay but very luke warm and a couple were still a little cold. He did really like the cheese ravioli though. But his entire plate and all three items were overly covered with chunky tomatoes (marinara sauce). All you tasted were tomatoes and it was not seasoned at all. Both meals were definitely NOT worth the $85 they charged per person for this holiday and that did not include (drinks, tax, or gratuity). The total bill came to $240 and that did not include any alcoholic beverages. We would have been better off going to Carrabbas Italian Grill since the food always tastes good there. I come from an Italian family, and sadly this place does not meet the standards of true Italian cooking. Plus the food was not very hot at all.
If I can give this place a zero I would. Get there at 6pm with my family (party of 6) to eat. Our waiter seems to be in a rush. Constantly coming back to our table and rushing us to order because it s going to get busy . We ask his name and he s says you can call me Bond, James Bond which is extremely disrespectful. Once again he comes to the table after ordering a bottle of wine, a separate glass of wine, and an appetizer and starts asking us are we ready to order. I politely tell him he s being a little pushy and to slow down. A family member that flew in started having an anxiety attack because she felt as though she had to order right now and didn t know what she wanted but he was pushing us to order now. So we ask him to slow down and he starts raising his voice. I turn to someone bussing a table and ask for the manager and he says it s him. I say hey can you just ask him to slow down. His answer was you guys are asking for too much, you can leave. Get out. Dont worry about the wine or food. Leave. Find some other place to eat. I ve never been so disrespected so bad in my life. And to think I brought my wife grandmother and family here. I was embarrassed to say the least. Idk if it was because the majority of the table was a younger crowd or because we were Puerto Rican but we were treated like trash since we walked in. I d avoid this place like the plague. Oh and I left at 6:26. So 26 minutes of service and kicked out. We weren t yelling, we were cordial and politely asked him to stop being so aggressive. Unbelievable.
Horrible horrible HORRIBLE service. How dare you kick out an Elderly woman and her pregnant granddaughter because we tell you to slow down. Waiter was literally rushing us and all we wanted was nice calm wine and dine kind of night. It was a family outing NIGHTMARE. We were being pressured to buy a wine he wanted us to have, not giving us the time to actually look at the menu. I even asked if he had a separate wine menu like a higher end restaurant would have and he was insisting on a different one. I wanted Caprese and he insisted I get Bruschetta and brought it out instead of what I asked for. I really don t want to bring race into this but that s what it felt like. Maybe he thought we wouldn t tip because we are Hispanic New Yorkers?? I tend to tip more than I should. I have been and worked at the most finest restaurants. He mentioned We re Italian here okay ? What does that even mean. The owner kicked us out with out even hearing us out and the waiter snatched the menus out of our hands. I can never explain how embarrassing this was to get kicked out with my family for no reason and say we re asking for to much when we literally asked for time because he was rushing us. AND his last words were Go back to New York . IF I WANTED fast service I would have went to a fast food place or chain restaurant
Our first time going today. Us two with my oldest daughter she s 9. From the great food to the environment to the service, everything was perfect. Our waiter went above and beyond to make our 9 yr old feel super comfortable and make her smile even played tic tac toe with her. The bottle of wine we had was amazing! The food was delicious. I had the special. I was stuck between another dish and the special. The waiter said definitely the special and it did not disappoint! Even brought us free dessert to try since it was our first time! Can t wait to go back! Don t let this place fool you because of its small hole in the wall appearance. It s definitely a must try! Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly!
So I had to give 3 stars because the food is consistently good, the server (Jerry) was amazing and the atmosphere is clean. I give a 3-star because all of that was overshadowed by the owner who looked annoyed I wanted a table (same size with 4 chairs) in the corner as opposed to the middle of the room table (same size with 2 chairs). He showed me his clipboard to tell me why I needed to sit at the table with 2 chairs. He reluctantly gave us the table in the corner. He also put 2 people at another 4-seater which proved he was probably just being difficult. The owner offered my husband parmesan on his dish. He gave him two scoops with very obvious annoyance. Our wonderful server comes over and my husband requests a little more parmesan. Jerry complied and was immediately reprimanded by the owner in front of us that the customer only gets 3 spoons of parmesan. Really? Every Italian restaurant we have ever gone to has NEVER put a limit on the parmesan. Ridiculous! I noticed that all complaints on here are answered by owner with an excuse of why the complainer is wrong....uhm....not cool! We are appreciative, quiet and patient patrons and the owner was so rude. We as well as some other patrons who stopped us on the way out will not be back. We are sorry Jerry...we loved you!
Unfortunately, my friend and I did not get to experience the restaurant to its full potential because of noise that distracted us. We were coming into the restaurant when we heard customers complaining about how they were being treated to be quite honest I wouldn t want to be spoken too in such a way especially in front of others and we watched them get kicked out. Maybe the food could ve been great but the hospitality and atmosphere was pathetic. I think customer service education courses or lessons would be helpful. Treating others how you d want to be treated or even simple communication goes a long way.
Delicious food and excellent service. Small restaurant, youll probably need a reservation
Vito, the owner is an amazing man I want to thank you from my family to yours. amazing food, amazing place amazing people God bless!!
Food is amazing. Interesting story told in art on north wall. Ask about it. Reccomend reservations on a weekend please forgive my spelling, but the knokkis belognse sauce takes 3 hours to make. Very tasty. Compliments to chef for providing this info and time to create this. This is not our first time here and we will visit again. Gifts cards are available here, and I hope someone gets me one.
Food was disappointing this time.
Italian cuisine is simple. You make your bones on your sauces. Heres a winner. Alfredo not salty, Marinara not acid, Marsala on point. Limoncello Mascarpone cake was excellent, not overly sweet. The Chocolate Mousse was not overly bitter, was great. Calamari Fritti was a hefty serving, delicious. Danielle was the pro. Minor drawback was the potatoes with my wonderful Veal Valdostana. Whatever theyre called, theyre home fries, dude. Definitely coming back.
Out for evening with friends great atmosphere excellent food fantastic service who could ask for anything for a better evening.
I love this place! I dont eat soy so I dont generally have a lot of options when it comes to eating out. Most restaurants use soybean oil in their friers and anything that contains mayonnaise, also the bread usually has soy in it. This place I actually have options (although I always end up getting chicken parmesan)! The pasta fagioli soup is AMAZING as well. Make a reservation as this place fills up quickly!
Calamari was fried to tender perfection! So many places overcook it until it comes out rubbery. Couldnt say enough about the staff, food or the atmosphere. Quaint and authentic. Bring your appetite, the portions are generous. Definitely recommend making reservations.
The food was fantastic. The service was great, and our server Jerry made the whole experience amazing. We get five stars to this restaurant, and the service
Cozy place for great Italian
Excellent food with great wine for pairing , tonight we were treated to live music, that was very appropriate to the quaint atmosphere. Our first time here and it lives up to everything we heard about it.
This place was excellent. Great food service and a reasonable price.
My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner Sunday evening. The staff was very friendly and we had an excellent meal. Baked stuffed clams for an appetizer, one of the largest and most tasty pieces of lasagna I ve ever had. My wife had the gnocchi, and she loved it! We will definitely be back for another visit!
Exceptional Italian food! First time trying this restaurant. Ordered to go. We will be back to dine inside. Had the eggplant paramigiana and pasta fagioli. Cant wait to try other entries. Family owned
Best red sauce Ive ever tasted.
OUR TO GO ORDER WAS MISSING T H R E E ITEMS AND THE CHEF BASICALLY TOLD US OH WELL. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE FOOD AND WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The food that did arrive tastes like it was out of a can, truly. 100% disappointed.
Perfect Italian food, good service, a pleasant and familiar place, I recommend it
Might have well gone to Olive Garden and they are as far from Italian as you can get.
Best Italian food in Brandon Florida !
Delicious food!
We had decided to try this place. We ordered the daily special, dessert, and a bottle of wine. Food was delicious and service was good. Will definitely go back to try the items on the regular menu.
Small, intimate restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Even had live music. The owner frequented our table to make sure everything was great. My reason for 4 stars is I was not impressed by the service from the actual server. Hardly ever saw them besides getting our drinks and order. Food was great and you get a good portion for the price. Will eat here again, but will order it to go.
Food is great and the service is great. The music by Jimmy Silva and Ella Chadwell is 5 stars. Love it Love it...
The best Italian restaurant in Tampa!
My son ordered off the kids menu, my wife and daughter shared spaghetti that they charged $7 to put on 2 plates. I ordered chicken parm and it was terrible. The bill was $130 +, absolutely ridiculous. They charged an extra $5 to run a credit card instead of cash. Go to carrabas instead, you can go twice for the same amount of money.
Worst service ever. Wouldnt eat there again if it was free. Gave 1 star because no option for zero. Parking limited. Wait staff was blunt. Food was expensive for quality.
I have been here a few times on normal nights out. Typically the food has always been good. This time not so much we did valentines day dinner here. Unfortunately before we even ordered they started by telling us what they dont have on the pre fixed menu. Running out of food is reasonable especially on busy nights, but when its a prefixed menu and your options are already slim paying 80 dollars a person doesnt seem too reasonable in my opinion. The only app they offered was a caprese salad on top of the salad you get 2 salads 1 entre and one dessert no chocolate mouse though my fav. They offered us a glass of win due to the fryers not working properly so no fried ravioli. It was just a very strange dinner as they had many no shows and cancelations from what I heard from workers which makes me think if everyone did show how slim would the menu actually be. Im going to say it was just an off night for them because typically they are great I will probably do holiday dinners else where from now on but will still go on a normal night to avoid the running out of items. I would recommend if your doing prefixed menu just make sure you have the items on that already small menu to avoid issues so its reasonable to charge 80+ a person.
DELICIOUS! It was hot and fresh, I ordered to go and was worried that what I ordered would not travel well but I was wrong! I got the eggplant parm and it was SO GOOD! Calameritti is also delicious! Great place, will be eating here, again!
not one of my favorite places to eat Italian food. The service was great. The pomodoro sauce is sweet has added sugar that can be tasted ... We had a party of five and brought a Birthday Cake .. We were all charged two dollars... that did not sit well with us. I myself wont go back I dont know about the rest of the group.
Wonderful meal! Superb tastes! Excellent wine selection.
Brandon s little secret!!!!
They have good service but the food is not good.
Food and service are great every time we visit.
Great little Italian restaurant. Went on a Saturday night. The entire experience was top notch from the moment we walked in. Owner and staff are ultra friendly. The food was superb. Next time were in Tampa, we will stop again.
Amazing time great food as always.
Authentic great Italian food and great service 3-24-23 update, absolutely love this place. Owners, workers are beyond great and so accommodating!!
Quaint, delicious Italian restaurant. Excellent food, great service, reasonably priced. Super quick with pick up orders. They also deliver. Live music. Get the lemocello cake - youre welcome in advance.
Very disappointing with the service we got today, we order for delivery they were over 45 minutes late and food was disgusting, cold, lasagna was over cook and cover in oil. Chicken was burnt and potato was super dry $60 in the trash
This place is great. Owner & staff are friendly & make you feel right @ home & the food is really delicious. Not my first time here & it wont be my last!
The food was delicious and a good portion.
The best of the best!!! So good!!!!
THIS PLACE WAS SO GOOD DEFINITELY COMING BACK
Ordered the carbonara, penne ala vodka, meatballs, potato croquettes, chocolate cake and tiramisu. Everything tasted homemade and was spectacular!
Ordered take out last night. The food was phenomenal! Meatballs, Penne Al Vodka, tiramisu. Best ever!
I highly recommend this place if you prefer to be talked over, interrogated about a tip amount you left, and like to have to-go boxes thrown in your face. Where do I begin? The first 30 minutes were alright as we got bread and drinks. Jerry seemed blunt but friendly. As the night continued, he started to get touchy with one of the patrons at the table. We brushed it off as just a mistake until it happened multiple times. We only got one drink with no refill and two entrees. I tipped $5 on the card as we also paid a fee to pay with the card. Before taxes and the CC fee, we tipped 15%. Jerry then came to the table and asked if we would leave a higher tip as the amount differed from what he expected. Usually, I leave a cash tip and a small card tip on the receipt since I also used to be a server. At this point, though, he came over to my table and announced the low tip very loud so that other tables were glancing at us. Ultimately, I decided not to leave a cash tip as I just wanted to leave. Point blank; the food is decent, and the staff is good, except for Jerry. All the other staff kept asking how everything was going, while Jerry was seemingly trying to rush us out of the restaurant even before the whole tip debacle. In response to owner: did you not see where I wrote that I usually leave a cash tip as well since credit card tips are taxed for servers?
Veal Parm was not very good. There was so much breadcrumbs on it that it was overwhelming. Plus the sauce was a bit to sweet. Not very good Italian for the price....very disappointed!
Excellent meal
I want to start with the food because obviously thats why your come here. Absolutely amazing. Everything came out quickly, tasted fresh. Nothing was freezing cold or felt like it had been microwaved. The service was friendly and prompt and would be reason enough to go back. We were greeted by an older gentleman who in guessing is the owner. He greeted and seated us. Wasnt very chatty but its all good! The atmosphere feels a little subpar compared to the service and food. I am not usually a fan of Italian food but this may have me changing my mind. I absolutely will be going back and will be thinking about what I ate until I do. I can not recommend this place enough.
Absolutely best Italian fare in the area! We ordered the veal and it was so tender. No knife needed! Portions are large and the staff are fabulous. We will definitely be back!
Excellent Brandon Italian restaurant. All the food here is well prepared. I Especially enjoy the lasagna. Good service. Pleasant atmosphere.
mom and pop feel with a 5 star dining experience. had the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious with a hearty portion size
Read all the bad reviews and see how rude they are :). They do not like African American people at this place so don t even bother!!! Post Update** We went here and they only had 2 tables taken. The host mentioned we needed a reservation so we left and the place was empty. As I said before dont bother.
Very plan taste. Had to ask more than once for services. Food
We could not say enough about how amazing this restaurant is. Our waiter was outstanding. We ordered our appetizer and werent quite sure of what we wanted for our main dish. He had great recommendations and we still werent quite ready so he suggested to take our menus away so that we could fully enjoy our appetizer while it was warm and then hed come back and grab our main order. Theres something about that extra little touch that set such a great mood for such a great dinner. The lasagna was better than any restaurant made one Ive ever had my husbands veal was cooked so perfectly. He didnt even need a knife. We will definitely be coming back for more date nights. Plus we loved the live music, the atmosphere and even the other guests were so jovial and sweet.
We just showed up unannounced on a Friday at 5:30 p.m. they were gracious and accommodated us which was great. Im sure there are better at service here and will not go as far to say it ruined the night. What I will say is dont judge by how we were dressed. We had planned on a different place that we were comfortable with that unfortunately was not open so we gave Allegria a shot. Other than that the food was adequate with a few twists on Italian that were new to me and good. I had the chix Alfredo with sun dried tomatoes and broccoli. Ive had chicken fett many times many different ways. I really like it this way it was great! Well worth the price .
Worst customer service I ve ever experienced. Had issues with an order and management never gave me the common courtesy to speak with them. Response was manager is too busy to speak with you . With this kind of treatment towards its customers I would not come if I were you.
HORRIBLE!! Service was horrible. Called in a delivery, they told me about 1.5 wait. After an hour of waiting my pick up person got to restaurant and they said sorry they didn t make the order because they were low staffed. So we asked to speak to the manager and host said no because Fabiana the manager doesn t deal with 3rd party delivery. They refused to give us an explanation as to why they confirmed the order and waited more than an hour to cancel it. HORRIBLE. Host and team were VERY RUDE
came for Mother s Day and the worst service ever. Fabiana is a nightmare.
This place was AMAZING!! Traveling through Tampa for a few days. Always looking for out-of-the-way Italian restaurants with GREAT offerings. Allegria did not disappoint! I popped into check it out. Was immediately greeted with a smile and welcoming demeanor by hostess. Quick scan of the menu and venue vibe told me this was old-school, real Italian food and hospitality. Ordered the Veal expecting typical NYC smaller portions...pleasantly surprised by the eye-popping portions! Wine was great. Server was attentive and helpful with suggestions. Could not have asked for a better dinner or experience. This will become my go-to spot for future trips to Tampa and Branden.
Delicious food and great service - we love this little, local gem. The portions are generous & staff is friendly and responsive. Great option for a casual dinner or a nice date night! Vegetarian options: If you like spinach & blue cheese, try the gnocchi al formaggi e spinaci! It s one of my favorite pasta dishes of all time.
One of the best places I have been to in a long time!
Was a great experience.
Mozzarella & Tomato was served with refrigerated , tasteless tomatoes & low quality mozzarella. I guess the chef doesnt know to never refrigerate tomatoes. Mussels were marginal with a very runny sauce. Main dish of veal parmesan was much better, almost good. They really need to step up their game.
Loved everything about this restaurant! Food was Delish! If only we could box up Vito to bring home with us along with the amazing leftovers!!!
Went with church group had a great time food an fellowship. Parking: Parking across street Food : 5/5 |
Love this place. One of my Dads favorite places. True Italian restaurant. The whole vibe was great. Food is amazing good. Staff was amazingly nice. Prices was good. Family atmosphere.

Kid-friendliness: Friendly and courteous. Excellent service, food was delicious. I suggest that everyone experience Allegria Italiana .My family loved it so much. Recommended dishes
The food was absolutely delicious. The first time I didnt need ketchup on my steak! Cook to perfection. Wonderful sauce. Cant say enough about how enjoyable it was :)
Very nice hidden Italian restaurant. The food was great, the service was awesome. Well definitely be back for another visit.
First time there but not our last. The service, food and the atmosphere was truly perfect! Thank you! It was a wonderful night out with my daughter!
Absolutely Delicious Italian food Go here to have the best Italian cuisine....Dont go to a chain restaurant.. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free pasta
Shrimp Scampi was way over sautéed with lemon. I tasted no garlic or butter. Just really soupy. The lemon over powered the shrimp & even tasted a bit scorched. I had a brand new waitress that knew nothing about the specials. My previous meal here was about 6 mo ago. Was hoping it had improved. Unfortunately it has not. Won t be back.
Better off going to Carrabba s. Your food will taste better, you will experience better customer service, as well as not being charged a fee for using a card. It s 2023. Plus the owner has little man syndrome with how he responds to these reviews.
Great fast friendly service! Amazing food! Cozy atmosphere.
Everything is wonderful! Stop in and Im sure youll be back for more.
Incredible restaurant. Authentic as you get and the staff is exceptional. Do not overlook
Great authentic Italian cuisine that you must try if youre around the Brandon area. A hidden gem off the beaten path. I would highly recommend making reservations if you plan a trip there to make your experience elevated. Great dishes on the menu will surely please your pallet! Bramisimo!

Absolutely delicious, great service and a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend.
Went there for the first time and the experience was lovely, from the staff being extremely welcoming then to the food which was delicious.. definitely a 10/10
This is the best restaurant in the area. Worth the price.
First time here and we will definitely be back!! Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful staff, wonderful experience.
Place is incredible. Calamari is so fresh and breaded perfectly. Love the carbonara, vodka sauce pasta and especially the bolognese. In fact, never had a bad experience and the staff is wonderful.
Allegria Italiano is in my opinion one of the top Italian restaurants in the Tampa area. Step in and youll feel the ambience immediately. Service is prompt and friendly. The food is out of this world! Listen carefully and you may hear the chef giving directions in Italian. We dress for and have made it an occasion since Allegria opened. Weve never been disappointed!
We are here after our wedding for lunch. It was the best place we have eaten in years. The food is fresh and delicious. We had a great server, Michael. Amazing food! Update to 1 year later. Today my husband and I had the best food we ve ever had. Period. The minestrone soup was phenomenal, best soup I have ever had. I could have eaten bowl after bowl. Every single thing we had was delicious. The soup is made per order. The servers are always top tier, the atmosphere is cozy and Italian. It s simply our favorite restaurant. I wish Gordon Ramsay could try it!
Outstanding food, service! I highly recommend!

My favorite Italian place in town fettuccine shrimp Alfredo is always my choice
Quite small but so good love the service and the food
Little hidden gem, we asked for something that wasnt on the menu, chicken francese, and they said no problem and made it for us. Deliscious
This appears from the outside as a very small restaurant. When you walk in its very roomy and smells delish. We had a wonderful appetizer with crushed black olives mozz and balsamic dressing. It was to die for. I had the Alfredo which was so good. One of the best alfredos Ive ever had. My friends each had a tomato based sauce dish which they agreed was wonderful. Service was outstanding. I recommend to give it a try. You wont be disappointed
Saturday at 6:00pm, we walked in. Very warm atmosphere. Reservations highly recommended. Family owned businesses. Food was hot and fresh! Sever was phenomenal! James .. James Bond he calls himself.. he recommended several items and was very tasteful. Would highly recommend with family and friends for authentic Italian foods. You won t regret stopping by!
Let me start out by saying we came in 30 minutes before closing and they were super kind to take our order to go. I ordered the eggplant rolled up appetizer and this was all I ordered since we did not have much time. The lady at the front was very nice. I thought the taste was fine but I felt like it needed some mozzarella to top it off. Would come back to try more items but love how friendly they were.
The best Italian restaurant in South Florida Amazing food and service Food
Love it every time we go there. Great atmosphere and food.
I recently went to Allegria to grab drinks and an appetizer with some friends, we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and i cannot wait to go back to enjoy an entire meal. Also the server was very knowledgeable of wines and specials for the evening as well. A hidden gem.
Fantastic restaurant! Service, food, and atmosphere were amazing! Our server Jerry was fantastic!
Me and my boss wanted some good Italian food, its hard to find now a days, but we saw this place. One of the best small family owned and operated businesses around. They set the table perfectly. We ordered a lot of food, champagne and whatever Frankie recommended. Nothing was bad and every dish was perfect. We got out food fast and easy. Vito made sure we had plenty of drinks. Not to mention Giovanna made sure we were happy at the end of our meal. If you want some of the best service and just a straight up good person to listen to get Frankie and hell make sure your taken care of. Always listen to his recommendations.
One of the best experiences at a restaurant we ve had in years. The staff are amazing and personable and the food was so authentic!!!
