The staff was kind and inviting and food was delicious. I can't wait for my next trip out to Brandon we will definitely be stopping here! They have so many gluten free options. They should open a location in Winnipeg I would definitely be a regular!
We ordered chips n salsa- chips were crisp, mild salsa was delicious with a hint of cilantro- so good! We ordered the fried green plantains.. very good, crisp and different from what I've ever had before. I ordered the vegetarian poutine, I'm not a vegetarian, but the description won me over and it did not disappoint! Very tasty, hit all the right notes of flavor. My husband ordered the wet burrito, fully loaded and he was very happy with the portion size as well as flavor. We ordered more than usual since we're from out of town and wanted to try a few things, would definitely eat here again!!
What a great place. Excellent variety of Latin American dishes. I had a pupusa, a baleada and a taco but it was tough to choose. She had a fried taco and a tamal. Everything was excellent. We probably should have split a chips and salsa, we each got it and it was a bit much. The chips were not as crispy as we're used to but I think that's in the cooking method. I hope. Otherwise they were stale, 😆 The spicy salsa definitely was. The guacamole was tasty, it was a very pleasant meal and experience. We arrived about 5:30 and I was a little concerned with how empty the place was. By 6 it was hoppin', we apparently just beat the rush. We for sure recommend for anyone in the mood for a taste of Latin America

An absolute Gem. Located in Brandon. The food was just amazing. We started with there home made taco chips and their amazing salsa. Then we both had the tortilla soup. The starter. It was so amazing and a very good portion size. We shared 3 tacos 🌮. One of beef, chicken and pork. Everything is made with fresh ingredients. Amazing. Our last plate had cassava and pork and was so amazing. They also have some wonderful cocktails. You need to go here. An absolute amazing place.
I had been waiting a long time to eat here as it’s a 2 hour drive from Winnipeg. As someone who is married to a Latina and spent half of my adult life in Central America I can say the flavours are authentic. The pesole was incredible! I deducted a star for the portion size. 4.99 for rice and beans and as you can see in my photo, it was about 4 bites. I’m used to my plate being loaded with rice and beans. They were delicious. Also, my tacos although tastey were almost empty. I felt that one almost had no meat at all. I’m always happy to pay more (80 dollars for 3 people, with one can of pop) for good quality food and it was…I just got home hungry. I will be back!
Not sure I can capture how I feel about Sabor Latino in one review. But I’ll try. In December last year, I contracted catering from here for a work function to feed 600 people. Every single step of the way the management at Sabor Latino remained highly adaptable, enthusiastic and committed to finding solutions that fit my event. The food provided, as corroborated by most other reviews on this place, was second to none. The staff worked extremely hard to make this work for us and they pulled it off with flying colours. Big kudos to you all. I’ve only actually eaten in-store once, needless to say it was awesome. The food: awesome. Fresh, felt made to order, and flavourful. I don’t know much about Latin-American food but the food they presented to me was absolutely killer. The service: again, second to none. The staff were extremely friendly and authentic people. On top of that, it was fast. I usually hate tipping cause it feels like it’s almost a given now.. not really something people earn. But I couldn’t tip high enough with these people. They earn every cent. The atmosphere: at the end of the day the hill I die on is cleanliness. Not at all a concern or issue eating here. The restaurant was very clean, it was appropriately decorated inside and there was more than adequate space for everyone to not feel like herded cattle. Overall: I can’t say enough good things about Sabor Latino. This place rocks and is, in my mind, the best restaurant in Brandon depending on what you’re looking for. I would 1000% recommend eating here if you haven’t already. The attached photo is of the platter that the restaurant provided for 600 people in the span of 3 hours.
Amazing environment to start with. Perfect music paired with a happy room full of customers. The service really was amazing from both the owner and her staff that took care of me. Now the food and drink, wow!! I don’t usually order a cocktail but I had to try their margarita and let me tell you it set up the meal perfectly. After telling the owner I would like a sampling of their favourite dishes she asked if she should just order for me. I agreed although not always a good idea I had a really good feeling about this:) The chips guac and salsa were an awesome starter, the tamal was seriously better than any I had while living in Mexico for three months, the taco perfect, and the baleadas was the highlight OMG! Can’t wait to return someday… Thanks for an awesome meal and break from the highway🙏🏼

Absolutely delicious meal! They also offer a large variety of both gluten free and gluten friendly options. The owner is very friendly and their restaurant has a great atmosphere.

This is a hidden gem. The service was fantastic and the food was awesome. I had the loaded chicken burrito. It was packed with tender chicken and surrounded by amazing sauce, quac and greens. I have never in my life had a taco this good. Anytime I am in Brandon I will be eating my meals here!!!! For gluten free needs this is the place. Cant say enough good things about this place. Whoever said money cant buy happiness never had the fried cheesecake here!!!!! One of my most favorite desserts of all time! I would leave more stars if I could. Ill never miss coming here when I am in Brandon.

Delicious food with excellent assortment of dishes, friendly service and shady patio. I ate and drank (lemonade) so much I need a siesta. Will drive into downtown Brandon again next time I m passing by on the TransCanada just for this little jem.

The family and I were in town and a friend told us to try this restaurant out and we were not disappointed at all! The service was amazing the waitress was hilarious and very helpful with helping describe what certain items were. They didn t rush us when it came to ordering food as we didn t know half of the menu items but once we got our food it was absolutely amazing! Food was served to us hot and once we left those of us who had left overs the food was still hot like it just came out of the oven 5 mins ago! I highly recommend this authentic Latin restaurant. No one had any issues with their food either no complaints either. Only suggestion all of us had was for them to open a restaurant in Selkirk so we could eat there more often. Next time I m in Brandon I m definitely coming back to this place!! Vegetarian options: They had a good section for anyone who s vegetarian Kid-friendliness: They do offer a few Canadian options for kids and very kid friendly restaurant as well.

This is a great date night place. Food is excellent, the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. Ive been here three times now and been very pleased every time. A little pricey but the quality and authenticity of the food and overall experience is worth it.

Fish tacos were good(not huge on fish but still very good) and the chicken enchilada mild spicy was excellent! Really cool looking glasses for drinks too.

Delicious, authentic food!! Was in Brandon for a conference and came for supper with a group of 10. They were very accommodating and provided excellent service despite the busy night. The papusas were hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Try the majitos cubanos cocktail and the limonada panela! Also was great to check out the imported snacks and local coffee for sale at the register. Ill definitely be back next time Im in Brandon!

The music was a bit loud for me, but apparently its like that in Mexico. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. My meal was 15 bucks. I really enjoyed it. They had so many gluten free options too. It would be nice to sit on the patio in the warmer weather also.

We were in Brandon for a weekend and this was recommended. The food was so delicious and just perfectly portioned so that we were all perfectly full but not overstuffed! On our must stop list every time we come now.

Was very much looking forward to trying SL for a long time, it was highly recommended. The meat in all the dishes was very good but the portions are small(the menu was confusing which could contribute to that) some of the chips were burnt, the queso was separated, there was an obnoxious amount of guac making everything a soggy mess. Disappointed. This was also my experience with their food truck last summer.

I went to the food truck by Canadian tire and had a wet spicy chicken burrito with a pineapple drink for $18.10. The portion was a good size, filling and tasty. It was a very good meal. Staff friendly.

A lunchtime stop for me. I ordered the fish tacos and a coffee. The fish tacos were delicious! So much flavour! I highly recommend the food, service was not the best which is why I give 4 stars instead of 5. After I received my food, the server did not return to my table even though I spent a good amount of time enjoying my food and waiting for my coffee. (I didnt receive the coffee, and I had to go to the bar to ask to pay and remind the server to take the coffee off the bill as it was never served). The restaurant was not busy at the time, with only one other table in use inside and 3 or 4 tables in use outside. The menu had a lot of choices and I wouldnt mind sampling more of the delicious food.

Very rare to come across a place this good. Food was so good, some of the drinks had a unique twist I ve never seen before, and the hostess/server was super friendly and made you feel very comfortable when trying to pronounce the Spanish names of the dish. The only thing I could complain about is that I won t be in Brandon often enough to make this a regular visit.

Food is pretty good but service is lacking responsiveness, especially when picking up orders for take out.
ordered online for pick up. the order we paid for and what were got were different paid for side of refried beans and guacamole.. didnt get them.. paid for a beef burrito got a chicken burrito. apparently the order information on the email does not show up on the store computer to prepare the order so they didnt know what kind of meat was ordered. the most popular is chicken so we got chicken instead of ground beef.. they didnt know we ordered the refried beans and guacamole.. they made no effort to phone me while filling the order. So I phoned them after I got home and explained what huge disappointment our dinner order was. All they could for us was give us a beef burrito, refried beans and guacamole if I made another trip downtown to pick it up. First and last time giving Sabor Latino our business.

This was an experience for us prairie-folk . Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the music, the service, the cocktail and food. Ordered assorted tacos and they were good but I would try something else next time. The servings aren t huge. Next time I will try the tortilla soup.

This is a fantastic local restaurant that serves amazing food from Latin America. We started off with chicken nachos which were delicious. My wife and son had fresh mango juice. For our entré we had the fantastic pupusas. They came out hot with the salsa and curtido. For dessert we had homemade tres leches and their house tea. Overall it was a great meal, and great value for the price. Will definitely go back again

Im always impressed with the food from this restaurant. My boyfriend and I make a point of coming here regularly, and Ive never been disappointed with my meal. The staff are friendly, the restaurant Is clean and the environment is inviting. My only bad thing to say is that the chips and salsa are usually complimentary in other restaurants Ive been in with similar food items Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options on their menu Parking: Parking is on the street Kid-friendliness: Kids menu!
