Mariachi Mexican Tacos & Cantina in Brandon

6 of us with 2 kids. Bill was over $200. Food had no flavour. Plus they couldn t remove the gst from the bill even though it s a new law to not charge it. Will not recommend.

Quite honestly the best tacos in Manitoba, and I d hazard the best I ve had in Canada.

one server working. food was tasty and expensive. server forgot to bring soup and dessert. offered it to take out when leaving. too much $$ for what we had. will not return

It s not Mexican restaurant it s just Canadian restaurant cause I m American Mexican and i know the taste WHO MAKE TACOS SWEET ITS GOOD FOR WHO EAT POUTINE WITH NO SALT AND NO PEPPER Service is good

Authentic, delicious, family run Mexican restaurant, food was amazing, prices are very reasonable, service with a smile! Nothing bad to say about them the only thing is I wish I would have found it sooner! I will be back. Got the birria and pork pastor tacos CANT wait to try more

Inhaled the tacos and forgot to take photos but so so delicious!!! Highly recommend the slight detour for lunch or dinner! Service was superb! Pastor tacos were yummy!

Delicious birria and margaritas

We decided to try this restaurant for the first time. We won t be back any time soon! The tacos only had meat! That s it. No sauce, no garnish , no freshness. Nothing. We each ordered two differ Tacos and got one hot sauce cup between us. The tacos certainly didn t look like the ones in the pictures here that s for sure. Bland, underwhelming, and extremely overpriced. We could have added another $20 to Mariachis tab and had Prime rib at Albert s!

Authentic Mexican atmosphere and food! There quite a few Central American restaurants around town selling Mexican food, but this place is the real deal. The owner, Diana, was very friendly. I had the chicken chilaquiles w/ salsa Verde (green sauce) on homemade nacho chips and a glass of horchata... I felt like I was back in California!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary yesterday and we decided to head our way to mariachi taco and we weren t disappointed their food, the culture just everything was perfect for our anniversary. Also the owners are just wonderful I highly recommend mariachi taco

Love this place! Their guacamole is legit the best I ve ever had, and I m a huge fan of their pollo con mole. I love the decorations inside, and the service is always very quick and genuine. Thanks for being awesome!

What a great discovery. A Must on my yearly visit to Brandon. Owners Diana y Carlos are very hospitable and knowledgeable about mexica cuisine and culture. The mole chicken that I had for lunch was fantastic. I returned for the dinner and I specially enjoyed the birria taco with a portion of the jus. Great ambiance, music, and décorations!

Back again, still a great food experiance. Had Sopes and Tacos Carnitas. Very authentic. Pleasant surprise is able to have Jamaica (hibiscus tea) to drink. Place is tucked away, but the decor and atmosphere are great. Super clean cantina. The important part (food) is the the tastes are superb. Fresh ingredients and nice presentation. Fairly authentic dishes, even had Horchata and Jamiaca to drink. buen gusto, buena comida! Vegetarian options: Some good vegetarian options

Food was great, waitress took a little time to get to me but I wasnt in a rush so I enjoyed it overall. They seem to really care about their restaurant.

Tried the quesadilla and tacos. I would recommend the quesadilla, the beans and rice were really good together. The tacos were a bit plain, would have been nice if there was a few sauces to choose between, we only got one. Also would be alot better served with lime wedges. The taco serving sizes were a bit small, I would only go back on taco Tuesdays. Also didnt get any water refills. I would go back to try out different dishes.

Atmosphere was lovely, waiter was lovely. But the food, oh my goodness. Fresh? Yes, but flavorless ,also yes. If it was one item that didnt have flavor I would have understood but literally the pico de gallo, the guacamole, the tacos , the taquitos or whatever is all in the platter, was bland and tasteless. No flavour at all!!!! Its bad when you need to salt Mexican food. Ive had more flavor at Taco Time. Extremely unfortunate. The daiquiri was good. And that was it. I imagine if people like bland food with no flavor and have never had Mexican food before it would be a hit.

Super service, the attention was the best and the food not to mention, the nachos were very delicious to share and the main dishes with very good flavor.

We stopped by as we were passing through Brandon, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Seemed to us to be authentic, portion sizes were great, the staff were friendly and service was top notch. If we pass through Brandon again, well definitely be back

We really loved our experience here and will definitely go again to try more things off their menu. Fantastic, festive and very clean interior. Makes you feel like you are on holiday! The food was excellent and so flavourful. Portions were a bit small but the dessert was huge so we came away amply stuffed. Prices are a bit high -- more than we planned on spending that evening -- but the quality of the food, the effort put forward in making it a great, authentic Mexican experience was worth it. Well be back! Would be great for a group party!

Could not recommend more

As someone who vacations constantly in Mexico (retired life) I was excited to have a little piece of Mexico in Brandon. I was quickly disappointed- the price of the food was quite high, especially given the subpar quality. I ordered a few different dishes, but was disappointed to find that the tortillas arrived cold. It was clear that the food had been sitting out for quite some time, which made for an unappetizing dining experience. After addressing my concerns the guy with glasses- did not feel sympathetic but annoyed. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food or a unique dining experience. The high prices and cold, flavorless food left a bad taste in my mouth, and I wont be returning anytime soon.

This place seems like its a hidden gem . I have never had authentic mexican that was anywhere close to this. Big shoutout to the amazing people that work here, had an amazing experience . If i lived in brandon I would hands down eat here everyday. I will miss you mariachi, till we meet again. Oh and for a bonus good time order the churros, thay was a very fun very delicious end to my dinner and experience here

Very welcoming and friendly, and ridiculously good food as well. I will shout from the rooftops about this place. Amazing mexican food enjoyed alongside a cold modelo. Pure culinary bliss.

Food taste good

Ordered two entrees, the meal was horribly bland, the meal sat under the heat lamp for easy 5 mins, we were the only people in the restaurant. Only saw the server once when meal was delivered to table. I have no idea how this restaurant gets over 4 star reviews. It expensive , way better mexican food at the chain restaurants in the city save yourself the cash and disappoint

Clean restaurant, food was great, staff was friendly and I would come back here again. It s a shame I couldn t rate this anymore than 5 stars. It s also a shame I didn t have anymore room for the all you can eat tacos.

Real Mexican food !

The food is excellent, I went with my family to eat and everything was fantastic. I recommend the green enchiladas, and they have 100% authentic Mexican live music, the singer is impressive... I highly recommend this place.

There were several hiccups with our first takeout order but, to be fair, the restaurants grand opening was just the previous day. The owner, Carlos, showed great customer service and was open to feedback. Happily, our experience the following week was much improved! A standout for me was the savoury chocolatey sauce on the Mole Poblano Enchiladas, which were stuffed full of chicken. Also, the green salsa was tasty and had some good heat! I look forward to dining in some time at Mariachi Mexican Tacos & Cantina for tacos, churros, and margaritas. The atmosphere is fun with its bright, colourful decor and live music. Found this place by accident, but will now be in the restaurant rotation! Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Real authentic food!

Too Small of a portion for the price. We ordered Chips and Guac, Chorizo Tacos and Mole Poblano. Guac was nothing to brag about. Tacos were skimpy and Mole Sauce was decent. The increased price doesn t justify the food at all. Service was at Par. We enjoyed their food truck much better. Hope the same reflect here. Cheers.

Hard to justify the price for the portions you get. If Im paying $10 for 2 tacos I expect them to be semi full/ good portions and flavorful. I wouldnt have an issue with price if the portions were adequate. Tacos are nearly paper thin, very small protein portion, flavor was underwhelming and if you get the chips and guac be prepare to ration your guac. Portion of guac was for approximately 8 chips. On a positive note the staff are very friendly, and the establishment seems very authentic with the decor and colors.

Very much what you would expect from a good reasonably priced restaurant in Mexico. The food we ordered came quickly and was good. They offer some nice spicy salsas, I ate all they gave me. Will have come back to try more dishes, the menu is fairly large.

Beautiful place, nice food, a bit expensive, but the experience is great and so is the music!

I could give it 5 starts if the food was better, the presentation of the food is amazing but the flavour not so good for me being a latino of course ! I really like the owners and workers for their hard work and warm welcoming but the sopa de tortilla and some of the main plates could be better. I eat the special of the day chicken, rice and beans and to be honest the chicken wasn t cook properly to me. I give them a 10 for the presentation and great customer service Of course entertainment is very goooood!

My family and I loved our experience at Mariachi! My daughter said there are no words to describe how good the tacos are . She highly recommends the Discada tacos, but the carnitas were also delicious. We also had the Mole Poblano enchilada and Las Suizas enchilada. The mole was so rich and flavourful. Not only is the food delicious, the decor is so inviting and the staff is lovely. Visit Mariachi for an immersive and delicious Mexican experience!

Amazing food and service! Was an awesome experience!

I visited Mariachi Mexican in August 2022 for lunch while passing through Brandon. The minute you step inside the restaurant, it feels like you re in Mexico with the colourful and authentic decor! I ordered the Mushroom Pastor and Papas Tacos (both vegan) and they were super tasty and fresh. Having travelled many times to various areas of Mexico, these tacos were one of the most authentic tasting ones I have had in Manitoba. I loved that everything was freshly cooked and prepared. The Hibiscus juice was also super refreshing and had great flavour, with the perfect amount of sweetness. The service and staff were friendly and prompt. The cooks and owner of the restaurant are from Mexico and the place had a welcoming vibe. I will definitely eat here again when I m in Brandon! Loved this restaurant and only wish they were located closer to Winnipeg.

Bright colors and amaaaazing food! Loved the Pina colada and the service:) Pico was to die for!!! Ordered almost one of everything off the menu and it was a very decent price!
