They changed recipe. After several decades of being arguably the best pizza in Brandon, it appears new ownership have changed the pizza recipe, specifically the crust and unfortunately not for the better. Literally has been the same since I was a kid, I guess good things come to an end. Now to find the next go to for pizza in Brandon!

Sampler pizza was good but tasted somewhat dry. More sauce and cheese might have helped.

Used to be 5 star, sadly I had to change that rating as I find the quality has deteriorated. I believe it underwent new owners last year and hasnt been the same.

Very poor service and poor attitude towards customers. Manager said that he doesn t sell cans and I had to buy a pizza. One of his workers was about to service me but then he intervened and wouldn t sell me one of his can cokes.

Pizza looked gross and tasted gross, would not recommend, sorry.

Excilent homemade pizza

Was excited that they are now open for lunch so finally ordered lunch, one of my favourites and go to, the Greek ribs meal. Sadly they forgot to even put lemon juice and very little seasoning so they were just very bland ribs. The Greek salad ratios have also changed and was mostly lettuce with small ratio of the Greek salad ingredients. Was ok but not up the the standard I had grown to know and love when ordering from romanas

Didnt take any photos as there was no dine in option due to renos being done. The food here is absolutely the best omg Ive been to a lot of pizza joints and they dont compare to this one. Price is decent and I gotta say the chicken fettuccine Alfredo is hands down the most tastiest Ive ever had. Used to be my go to place for pregnancy cravings. My little guy loved it. If your looking for a great pizza and pasta place this is it. I always wished for other locations to be opened but unfortunately the only way to experience the Romanas cuisine is to head to Brandon. Ill have to take some pictures next time as we were on a little road trip and ate in the vehicle. Staff is really friendly very well mannered and polite. This place has gone downhill since new management has taken over! Last time I ordered a pizza, the dough tasted like it was soaked in dishwater! No longer is this place Brandon s best pizza yuck!

Had been ordering from Romanos for YEARS. Get the Romano Special. Today was 1st time ordering from the new owners. Doesnt compare to the prev owners pizza. Taste was bland. Sauce tasted like tomato paste w no spices. Sour cream is cheaper (thinner) & only provide half as much. We wont order from there again.

Dough seems like parbaked crust from the store, sauce has no flavour, canned mushrooms, not fresh. Only thing of decent quality is the cheese. If this is rated #1 in brandon maybe i should start a pizza truck.

Pizza was great. Garlic bread smelt wonderful. I asked which pop they had coke or Pepsi. He said both. I said oh its cans? he said no. So we ordered 2 pops. Later asked for refills. Bill came we were charged 4 cans of pop. 1.99 and taxes each. I said you said it was not cans? He said oh sorry. I said you did not say there was a charge for refills he said oh sorry No I did not tip, very poor customer service. Actually horrible service. Out right lying!

What self respecting pizza joint anywhere....uses canned mushrooms on their pies??? Was stuck in a hotel in Brandon Manitoba far from any decent restaurant so ordered delivery from this place. If you have ever had a good pizza from anywhere that you enjoyed, stay away from this place. Go buy a take and bake from papa Murphys or costco and do yourself a favor and save your money and your taste buds....... Really!

Wow, is all I can say! Honestly the best pizza I ve ever tasted. Our pizza was bursting with toppings, the perfect amount of sauce and cheese, and a melt in your mouth crust! We stumbled across this place while driving through the downtown area. A quaint, lovely spot. We ordered take away as we re travelling with dogs. The man that helped us with order was so kind and helpful. The pizza was delivered promptly and was absolutely huge! Worth every penny! Thankyou so much We will be back in future! Vegetarian options: Absolutely amazing vegetarian pizza!

We were told that Romano pizza was the best, but we were really disappointed. The pizza had lots of toppings but it was not cooked all the way through. The crust was raw and doughy. The salad was not a salad. It was a bunch of veggies shoved in a tray with two blocks of cheese sitting on top. They hadn t bothered to slice and chop anything. Plus the one vegetable had mold on it. I completely lost my appetite from that dinner. We will never recommend this place to anyone. We wish someone had not suggested to us. It was $80 wasted. We ended up going without a dinner.

If you are a fan of a massive amount of each topping on your pizza this place is for you (not for me). Never thought I would say this, but both the pizza and pasta were way too cheesy. However, I can see why some people would be a big fan of this place

Good as always

I enjoy this small Italian restaurant so much, they made my day again yesterday with lasagna. Beautiful people great food! That was yesterday and Im mindful of the moments and appreciative of all them! Last night I had the Mexican pizza small, very tasty came with sour cream and I had a couple gingerale! Still have half the pizza left, for later!

Really miss their pizzas, no place else in Canada serves the same loaded pizzas as Romana.

Rubber chicken on the tossed salad. Went for a meeting and food was ordered for us. I have celiac so can not eat pizza or anything with barley wheat or rye so a plain chicken breast and tossed salad was ordered for me and i have had better

I ordered a Mexican pizza to go, because I was just passing through town and I didnt have time to dine in. Quality pizza, cheesy, piping hot and nice vegies on top. It definitely wasnt an overkill of ingredients. My only was knock is that there wasnt enough meat (personal preference)...but Ill try Romanas again next time Im in town and Im sure my rating will improve.

Got a pizza delivered last night and wow it was so hot when we got it you almost had to let it cool first. The Romana special was delicious and delivery was much faster than normal. Keep up the work down there.

Any where I travel I always look for long time owned Ma and Pa run restaurants. I love the fact that its been around for 30 years. Im from the Parkland...but this was our first discovery of this restaurant. Nice to see all sorts of local people coming in to sit down and eat. Absolutely excellent greek salad with 2 thick slices of real creamy greek feta and a homemade dressing. It was so good we ordered a second salad before our pizza. We ordered the Mexican. Incredible tastey home made crust. Delicious combination with generous toppings..and.real pizza mozzarella. Cute, small well maintained setting with no franchise feel(its so refreshing!) . What a Gem I highly recommend for the cost and quality. It will be our new family stop of the way home from Brandon!

Im really just reviewing the pizza but... One of the best pizza places in town!! Good crust, good toppings and good cheese!! Beware though, pizza with 3+ toppings may come a bit soggy, ask them to not put any parchment paper in the box to avoid that scenario.

I have had pizza all over Canada and many other countries but Romanas is the best. Winnipeg does not have 1 place that comes close. Winnipegs best has an outlet here ( Santa Lucia..bug the are a distant 5th or 6th best in Brandon.

Apparently supposed to be open at 3 pm on Thursdays according to their website. Spent 10 minutes trying to call in an order but nobody answered. Guess I wont be trying their pizza any time soon.

Amazing service and amazing food. We stopped in there after driving into Brandon at midnight and were starving but wanted a substantial meal rather than McDonalds. We didnt think they would want to make anymore food that late, but the owner was so friendly and accommodating. He quickly whipped together ridiculously delicious pizza and Greek salad, and packed us all of the things we needed to eat in a hotel room, including littl baggies of parmesan and chilli flakes. I dont normally write these reviews but Romana Pizza is an outstanding place and deserves the recognition.

I had the MEAT pizza... absolutely delicious

Pizza was great. No complaints about that, but next time ill order pick up. Inside is like an echo chamber, kinda awkward and feels cheap. They need to put up some pictures or a tv on the wall or something. Uncomfortable chairs. But pizza was great and staff very pleasant.

Business has been there for decades, and theyve always had very good food, not only pizza. May be a small enough area to go to for meal, but they make sure to give you just as much, if not more, when you do take out/delivery! No clue if new owners since I was a kid, but pizza has not only stayed wonderful, it has improved over the years for sure. Want to spoil yourself, then its the place to go!

Pizza was fairly good but it have virtually no sauce on it. And the other one was chicken pizza it had a lot of bacon on it and a lot of uncooked green peppers and onions on it but only like 4 tiny pieces of chicken on it. The service was terrible every table had to stop and ask the waitress for stuff as she never came around! I asked for pizza sauce and it took 10 mins for it and it was cold. Got the bill and they even charged us for it! It was also a dirty restaurant.

Best ever the renovation are done and food is awesome I have tried everything from subs to spagetti ribs salads its all awesome and the onion soup kills Dimitri and George are doing downtown a solid keeping this place rocking and Celina and Kendra do an excellent job in the front of house keep it up folks we will be there weekly for years to come

Absolutely amazing pizza, it is in its own category! I have driven from Winnipeg to Brandon for this amazing pizza. If you are lucky enough to have the chance to eat here TAKE IT!!!! reasonably priced too, a medium feed 5 people with left overs because the portions are very large! The Romano Special is my favorite and start with Garlic bread.

The pizza taste here has been great for a very long time. Romanos and Pizza Express are the best za places in all of Brandon. Romanos is an old fashioned tried and true great meal.

It may have had potential if they had baked the pizza thoroughly and toasted the garlic toast. Waited for 40mins and below average meal. Dissapointed and dissatisfied. Friendly service though. Btw, my order was the only order in the kitchen. Also overpriced.

Wow. Looks like a family style restaurant inside. Warm & cozy and not chain restaurant type. Super friendly service. This was our first time. We had the Romana Sampler which is four (4) pizza toppings. First off my wife & I have had pizza everywhere in the world and this was the Best crust ever (Crispy but not hard), generous cheese & lots of toppings. Rated the Crust as 10/10, sauce 8.5/10, toppings 10/10. Prices are reasonable for the quantity & quality of this pizza. If you do anything in life put this on your bucket list and you wont be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

We were just back to our hometown of Brandon, MB this past weekend. For interest-sake, we did a bake-off between Romana Pizza and Marinos. We ordered extra-large bacon and pepperoni pizzas from both and compared. The Marinos toppings seem to slide off the pizza dough indicating to me that there was less cheese (subjective assessment - it just appeared that way). Amount of bacon was decent, with pepperoni hidden below the upper cheese & bacon toppings. I liked the Romanos because it seemed to have more sauce - a personal preference. It also appeared to have more cheese. Taste-wise, the pizzas were very similar - definitely like the shaved/shredded ham in place of crumbled bacon. Given that there pricing is almost identical (about $32 or so per-pizza), delivery is still very inexpensive (<$2). Would order again. The pizzas are certainly thicker than comparable Dominos or other chains (Papa Johns, etc) but also double the price (saw an add from Dominos for XL pizza for <$14)
