East Side Mario's in Brandon

Had a very dry chicken. Maybe it was just the chef at the time, some other times food is okay. Love the garlic bread most. Customer service is not bad.

Went for lunch today. Server was absolutely amazing. Food was fantastic. Always a great stop.

I have on several occasions travelled 3 hrs to Brandon to EastSide Mario s with family and friends to enjoy a meal. I have tried different dishes and been delighted.Yesterday I was extremely disappointed that my lunch entre was dry and not what I expected, I told my server and another guest in our party said the same.

Service was top notch. We got our food and drinks very quickly. The staff was super friendly. Tipped the maximum. Washrooms are clean and modern looking.

This was my first time at East Side Marios in Brandon, MB. The waitress was amazing. Being a picky person they were very accommodating and not rude or crued like some people have been with my pickiness. We had fun she was just as crazy as we were and it made our experience that much better. Thank you for making our lunch/supper a good experience. We need more Skylars in this industry! I say KUDOS to her and she deserves a raise...I may have told her to come to Saskatchewan to teach our East Side some things she was that good! KUDOS Skylar! This place was amazing. I ordered a pasta and it came with all you can eat soup, salad and garlic bread. Really worth the visit for a quick casual supper!

We went to Mario s last night for an evening meal. It was horrible. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was burnt. They redid it but it wasn t good. My daughter had the sample platter and 90% of it went back to the kitchen and my grandson had the salmon supper and the only thing edible was the salmon. The pasta was terrible. We were so disappointed.

This seems to be my standard stop when I come to Brandon. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is delicious. The soup, salad and breadsticks that come with most meals is a nice touch. Always excellent service. Atmosphere is informal, quiet and relaxed. Parking: Mall parking lot.

Worst dining experience ever.. half of our tsble got apps and main course st the same time before anyone st the table got thier drinks. Never got the bread for the table until the meal was almost done. Had to ask for parm three times before the waitress brought it over, main course was almost finished, then missed half the table. Dont waste your time or money, go elsewhere. I will never go back

10/10 for bread. Ravioli soup = terrible. Ravioli soup taste like watered down pasta sauce and then thicked with a corn starch slurry. Pasta way too salty. No other flavors detected. Pizza is similar to a frozen deep dish delicio pizza. HARD PASS ON THIS PLACE - spent around $50 for the both of us.

I literally drive from Winnipeg to Brandon every few months for the food here. Love the service, love the food, and the prices!

Pretty good food price was fair but the best was the customer service we got from our server.. we were travelling across Canada and told the server about where we were headed and she gave us some great ideas of things to see and even wrote it down for us and to top it off she came outside to say hi to our dogs this all made our experience here a good one she deserves a pat on the back from her boss

So let me just say this, me and my trans daughter came in and will definitely be returning, the staff was great and the vibe was fun and family friendly.

Always good food here! Lots of different options to choose from and always love the endless soups, salads and breads. Service is usually always very nice although I wish they came around more often to ask for drink and bread refills. And they close at 8 now? Didnt realize they closed at 8 and I guess they were turning off the taps for drinks, but they still offered to refill the drink anyways. Pretty sure they used to be open later but its honestly up to them what they choose for their hours. Still one of the best Italian restaurants in the city.

I booked a couple of work lunch reservations at this East Side Marios. They allowed me to order the food in advance. Everything was ready to go when we arrived, service was good, food was on schedule and everyone thought it was delicious. Will be back.

We came for delicious dinner two nights in a row. We didn t think it could get better after the first night, but Emily B was an absolute angel and we had the best experience, and great food on top of it all!

Was here with a few coworkers from Winnipeg. We came here two days in a row specifically because of how amazing the staff are. I cannot believe how hilarious Emily B was absolutely just amazing banter. Definitely will be visiting again.

It was my first time coming to East Side Mario s while visiting Brandon and Emily B was perhaps one of the funniest servers I ve ever had. Even though the atmosphere was quieter (4pm on a Tuesday), Emily made sure the attention to detail, humour and speed was top notch. Thanks for the experience!

We were very disappointed in the lasagne and spaghetti and meatball servings. The lasagne was skimpy one noodle a teaspoon of meat and tomato very little cheese, for $21.99 I expected to be full, not so much. The spaghetti and meatballs well, being as pasta is not an expensive product the amount was laughable and 6 little meatballs again $21.99 we should have left full! Salads were good but didnt make up for the lack in the entree.

This is a great place to eat good food and chat with a friend. The service was friendly, fun and well provided. Prices are good and its a place to come back to.

We love the food usually but what we got tonight was over cooked. It also took us a good 30 mins to get 1 sampler platter. We had to ask for bread and we not seen after until we had been sitting another 10 mins.

Unfortunately have to update this review. Showed up by myself (1 person). Asked if I could sit at the bar and order food. The staff said no, the other option was to wait 25 minutes.... too bad. I had enjoyed the other times I came here. Why dont you want my money, seems stupid when you have empty chairs all over the restaurant.

I have been in few east Marios. This is the only place with no chairs no bench while waiting. Its nice to sit down while in 15 minutes wait. Food was good though.

I used to love going to East Side Marios until my daughter & I went Monday night! We got there at 5:30 and a few people in the restaurant but it took the waitress forever to bring our food and by the time we had got it, we had finished our drinks & eaten our 2 loaves of bread. While we were on the patio waiting for our food, a mother (in her 30s) & daughter (6ish) proceeded to walk around the retaurant twice on the cement edge while we tried to enjoy our evening! The ladies washroom was filthy, one toilet was plugged & used paper towel all over the floor! We had two bites of our food & by that time it was 7:45 & we had to find our wait staff to get our bill so we could leave!!! We wont be back!

Reservations for 4 people at 6pm Friday June 9 and Christina (sorry if spelled wrong) was our wonderful server. We asked for a spinach dip appetizer and instead it arrived after all our entrees. Needless to say our entrees didn t get touched as everything was brought at same time instead of spaced out a bit. Definitely not Christina fault it was other servers that brought out the entrees and she quickly came and apologized that we didn t have our appetizer first. We slid a small table over to put all our entrees on while we finished our salads, bread and spinach dip. Time we finished all our entrees we re cold sitting on side table. This is a MANAGEMENT issue that needs to address timing of orders at tables. Our beautiful server Christina did her very best and while she s busy with another table others are delivering food out of order to her tables. Christina you re amazing and very friendly. Your co workers just need to be trained a little better. We re visiting from Ontario to surprise our Son whom lives in Brandon and Christina s friendliness helped make our appetizers and salad wonderful.

We miss having one (in BC) and were so excited to be able to go here!! Our server was awesome, bringing the bread and drinks/water coming! Thank you Brandon ESM!

They have pretty decent wings available here but dont have the flavors in the menu. Very friendly staff and is kept clean. The only downfall is that they changed their hours and are only open until 8, including during the summer.

My food was very poorly cook and the staff was incredibly rude. When I asked for my food to taken back I got attitude and dirty looks in return and the manager was dressed, so unprofessionally I would never let that slide in a restaurant in if I owned one, I also noticed from one of the servers was very upset. Food was good and the overall service was great, had to wait for the server before we could pay. Kind of annoying when you want to leave.

We had to wait 30 minutes and sit next to a very loud youth baseball team, but the host Curtis and our server Sawyer were amazing! Curtis could be seen clearing tables, getting drinks, bringing out bread and soup to help the short-staffed team. He never stopped moving! Sawyer was super friendly and outgoing, efficient and checked on us frequently (as the kitchen was running 15 minutes behind). We ended up taking our entrees to go once they were finally ready. If it weren t for these two exceptional employees, it could have been a very disastrous dinner!

This is one of my favorite restaurant chains. The staff is always on point. I couldnt ask for better service.

Food was just okay at best, pasta was fresh out of the microwave. Best part was the bread to start. But for a family of 4 and only $80 I shouldnt expect much. First time here and probably wont be back.

I have been to this restaurant many times and always order the sausage and peppers penne. Yesterdays order was beyond extreme hot and I tried to eat it but it was impossible. I told our server and she apologized but didn t take it back. Called the manager today and told her and I was told the regular sauce wasn t available so they used the old menu of hot sauce and chili flakes and she was very sorry for the experience. I eat incredibly hot food but this was at another level. Next time I will simply refuse to pay because it was not normal recipe and no one informed me of the change.

This was my favorite place to go. But not after last night. They took away soup and salad from the all you can eat wings deal and still charge the same amount. My wings were greasy and slightly undercooked. My wifes salad had barely enough dressing and older looking lettuce. What a huge change in a short amount of time. Last time I ordered this the waitress gave me a double order to start....this time I asked for a double order and only received a single portion of 6 wings then 5 and 5 again. Sorry people but if someone asks for all you can eat wings you should be bringing out a minimum of 10 wings to start. Especially when youve removed soup and salad from the meal. I dont think Ill be bringing my family back ever again. What a shame. We loved you guys.

You know the service is really good. The food is amazing! Like I mean amazing try there tomato soup. I have never had tomato soup that good and its all you can eat too. All you can eat salad. All you can eat soup and the pizza you can get. Thats all you can eat. I had the lasagna last night and it was amazing. I had their pizza two weeks to go and it was amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Oh sorry they messed up on my pizza once and they get they asked me. Do you want to have something to as you wait for the replacement and that was great. Things happen. Always do but when you offer to give something to eat as you wait, thats an awesome restaurant. Hats off 10 out of 10. Amazing! Thats my word for this place. Absolutely amazing! Love them

Chicken Parm came undercooked. Then came over cooked. Took over 35 minutes to get undercooked chicken. 1.5 hours to attempt to eat dinner. Nope. Huge Nope. I will not fill out your form Owner. So please do not reply with such a silly suggestion. Maybe get the chef some cooking lessons. It shouldnt take 35 minutes to get a chicken parm undercooked. then (im assuming) cooking same said chicken until its burnt. Thanks but no thanks.

Not the experience Im used to when it comes to this chain but still a good place to eat. I took my family for my daughters birthday, they were very accommodating- but didnt do their famous loud group birthday song that we had come to know back in Ontario. The food was good- though I found the portions much too large and they could save the customer and themselves money by offering a smaller portion of some items. And you should bring back the build a sampler platter! I Loved that!! The servers were very nice, though Im still not sure which one was ours since so many were coming to the table to bring things. There was a large gap in between when the apps were served to the kids food and then our food. But the staff made sure we had drinks and brought extra plates for the cake and cleared the table. Very nice people- I appreciate them making it a good evening.

My husband & I went to have dinner, we were seated promptly. Our server introduced herself (Belle) asked if she could bring us something to drink. She then brought out the bread to us & asked pleasantly if we were ready to order.we were very happy with the way she had helped us with our needs & questions about different things we asked, she was very hospitable & very accommodating. Servers were great at first, very nice & attentive, but the food tasted awful. I went with my father and we both ordered a soup & entree. The soup tasted like someone spilled a whole container of salt into the batch. After 40 minutes of waiting after the soup was taken away, we received our entrees, which were overcooked and dry. The pasta dish I ordered tasted like someone dumped a bottle of liquid smoke into the mix and it was inedible. Our waitress offered to bring us something else, but based on everything we were served, we were so thoroughly disappointed and just wanted our bill. When she returned with the debit machine, our waitress proceeded to argue with us over the fact that the food actually tastes good, customers usually have a good experience here and that apparently the food that we ordered were items on the menu that tasted bad and she would ve picked anything else (even though she happily took our orders with no comment). My father proceeded to give a thumbs down review on the payment machine for our overall experience at east side mario s and our waitress guilt tripped him into changing his review because apparently I ll get fired if i get too many thumbs down . We didn t have an issue with our waitress, but she became personally offended that we didn t like the food. To end our visit arguing over how OUR experience was, it completely ruined any sort of redemption. Not to mention, they made us pay full price for the three bites of our entrees that we ate. All we were given was a free dessert coupon for next time. It was our first time eating there and we will never be returning again. I will make sure everyone in my life knows how bad this restaurant is and I hope anyone reading this review right now saves their hard earned money and spends it somewhere that actually deserves it.

A wonderful eatery! Great staff are attentive and friendly. An awesome menu provides an abundance of options for adults and children. A true pasta lovers restaurant!

3 out of 4 of us had their all you can eat pasta and it was delicious. Th second round they dont bring you as much which was perfect. The other person had their garlic linguine Alfredo which they really liked. The only issue I had was our service was a bit slow and we got overcharged for one of our meals, but unfortunately I didnt notice until after I had paid and left,so make sure to check your receipts.

For Chicken Parm being a signature dish it should have been alot better. Overcooked and burnt and sauce tasteless. Veal Lemoine was tasteless and super greasy. Potatoes were soggy from all the moisture from the veggies. The chicken breasts on the feta and red pepper dish were tiny and burnt and dry. The server was not to eager in trying to make things right. Just a sorry and here is your bill. Full price of course!

Me and my partner ordered take out from east side marios. When we initially put in our order we were trying to order items that were no longer on the menu or were American. But the menu I pulled up online didnt state it was American or out of date so that was confusing. So the appetizers we wanted werent available and the person on the phone wasnt that friendly or helpful with finding another option so we decided against it. First red flag. We then decided on two other pasta dishes that came with free loafs of bread. My partners pasta dish was very spicy and didnt taste very good the quality of the food was similar to what you get when you buy TV dinners from the store. But at double the price. My dish was similar in quality it just seems like it was produced in a factory at mass. The loafs of bread were solid,thick,hard, no seasoning and unflavourful. They were comparable to bricks. Honestly the worst experience Ive had with a restaurant mostly due to the quality of food. My partner only ate like 5 bits of his dish and threw it away because it just was so unappealing and unediable. I dont usually leave comments like this but it was a terrible experience and a waste of 50$.

Great food & large portions

We normally love going here however I last night made me think completely different. I called early after noon to make a dinner reservation, once we got there it was not written down. Lucky for us, we were not around a busy time and got in right away. (We were a table of 8) The people who ordered soup within 20 minutes they got their soup, the people who ordered Cesar salad waited 30 minutes, and lastly the person who got their garden salad waited 45 minutes. (Add: Once asked about the garden salad to the sever she said the kitchen is backed up . We also did not have refills on drinks or bread, we had to remind our sever twice for this. The food came all at the same time (thankfully) and it tasted amazing. We were finished eating and our server didn t ask us if we wanted dessert she just asked how were the bills were going the be split. Lastly - she entered my total on the debit machine off by $7.00, the numbers weren t even close. I understand places are having a hard time with hiring but this was over the top. On top of it was someone s birthday we are celebrating.

The bar tender last night (oct 23rd) I think her name was Emma was absolutely amazing. We got to the door and were told it was a 30 min wait and kind of seem like we were being coaxed out, so we asked to sit at the bar. She was super fast and extremely friendly made us feel welcome and not a bother!!! She really turned the experience around especially for my boyfriend lol hes a hard one to please !! Thank u :))

Decent food for a fair price. Enough of a selection for everyone. Tails on shrimp in pasta dish, didnt like that.

Terrible experience. We did show up with a large group, however we called ahead to give them warning we even tried to reserve space, but apparently they do not take reservations. Got there and even with are large group the restaurant was only about 80 percent full so a few delays would be expected.. However it took close to 2 hours for our orders to arrive, that BTW was a hamburger and some deep fried pizza dough. The burger took three tried to get right, the first was either overcooked to oblivion or cooked on a dirty grill. I actually like a bit of charring on meat how this was incredibly bitter and actually smelt rancid. Second try they forgot the cheese and aioli.... My daughter got spaghetti with alfredo and meatballs (yes she is weird). Not even enough sauce to coat the pasta and it gave her hives. in 14 years of exposing her to different cuisine she has never had a reaction to food. So either there is something quite exotic in the sauce or much more likely some sort of contaminant. Food might be good if you go when it is not busy and with a very small group, however their kitchen staff obviously cannot work under any sort of pressure.

Came in tonight with my daughters volleyball team, there was 35 of us and we had amazing service. It was quick and very smooth. Both servers did a great job and everyone left happy and very full!

Our first time coming to this place for supper. First thought upon entering the restaurant was, why is there only 2 other people eating here at 7pm? Service was quick and friendly. I ordered the grilled chicken caesar salad. The chicken was severely charred and it was full of black dirt from the grill. It even smelled burnt. The waitress said that its always served like that! At least the waitress was kind enough to take the chicken off my bill, but still charged me for the salad . At least the salad was crisp, tasteless but crisp. Had to add fresh parmesan for flavour. She offered to have the chicken redone, but I was grossed out and didnt want a replacement. Besides, I dont trust food coming out of the kitchen after refusing it. My hubby ordered sausage penne dish. He expected it to be spicey, but not that spicey. He didnt even eat half of it because he was burning up! No wonder the restaurant was empty! We wont be going back there! Wish I could add the picture I took of the chicken that came out of that kitchen! Oct 12,2022 update. I filled out the form and still no resolution to our bad experience Dec 1,2022 update. I finally received a coupon for a free meal. I went Nov 22. Another epic fail. The cooks at this location dont know how to cook chicken. Adding a another photo of chicken I was served on this night. I had 1 bite of it and left the rest behind. My hubbys chicken parm was also overcooked to dry and hard!
