The sushi hut is a great place to eat. The food never disappoints

The staff is friendly but the service is so slow. It s very hit or miss.

Service can be a hit or miss. Usually takes forever to get a refill on drinks whenever I visit. But its still one of my favourite restaurants.

My son and I tried it for the first time, and had a great meal. Lots of choices. Everything was very fresh. We would highly recommend it.

The favorite place for me and my family with a variety of buffet dishes, pleasant atmosphere, the owners and employees are great, if you want to eat everything you want, Sushi Hut is the right place and it is not only sushi but a variety of delicious and varied dishes.

Great value and selection. Food and service are both top notch as well.

This is the greatest place on planet earth. Never leaving hungry, awesome food.

This place is AMAZING the food here is VERY good and I really enjoy coming the price is a bit high but do all that one is getting I think the price is fair,their food selection is wide they have sushi,tempura,udon,dumplings etc..,I would recommend coming here !!!!

Food was out hot and fresh. The server came right away to check on me if I needed anything.

Went for lunch. Service was nice but my god is the sushi low quality. Every roll is seemingly padded out with tempura crumbs and cucumber. Very little actual fish/seafood. I mean I ordered a California roll, it had no avocado in it and the crab meat wasn t blended at all. It was just a stick of imitation crab meat and a slice of cucumber. Also got chicken skewers and the meat had a weird jelly texture to it. Used to go to the place all the time but this is this first time in a while and it s sad to see how far they ve fallen.

Friendly staff as usual but food service today was verryyyyyyyyyyyy slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! Should have gone somewhere else. Very frustrating! Wasted $30 for 2 seafood fried rice and a chicken terriyaki!

The food is good. The menu system is off of the app and pretty quick. They were slow to give me a napkin but thats because they were super busy running back and forth. Id recommend it for a family or even a big group.

Had a very bad experience this last week, went on a super busy day when they were understaffed, so Im trying to keep that in mind. First off, the wait staff were amazing! Rushing around all evening trying to help everyone they could, but it was 2 people for a overfull restaurant, but anyways we were there for the full 2 hour limit for the first time ever because 80% of the food we ordered never came so we had to order more, I had some broccoli and 3 pieces of sushi it was insane that they let that many people in knowing they were understaffed, I had the worst experience Ive ever had and then still had to pay full price on top of all that there was some stupid alarm in the kitchen that never shut up

1st time out to the Sushi Hut. Waitress didn t give us a run down on how things worked there. Once we realized it was an all you can eat and that we had to order online, the rest was great! Food was amazing! I recommend

Had a wonderful time at sushi hut. Especially for someone who doesnt like sushi! The teriyaki chicken and chicken fried rice was delicious!!! I also loved the chicken skewers! Will go again with my sushi loving friends for the chicken and pork 10/10

We wanted to order off menu as we didn t think we could eat a lot. We were informed that menu prices could be higher or lower than marked which already felt like a risky business practice. Service was slow which was not the server s fault but we were served the wrong roll. It was replaced with a BC roll that was very small. Upon paying we were charged $13 for that tiny roll and told we were previously informed of possible price increases - I ve ordered this roll at other places and it is around $7. A $6 surprise increase was shocking as it s not a special roll and this isn t a more adjustment. I recommend the restaurant update its menu prices at the very least, and to reconsider the quality of food being served. I have a lot of empathy for restaurant work but this was a very disappointing experience. AYCE is probably fine for this establishment as there isn t going to be sticker shock.

Wow has the quality improved so much since my last visit years ago! Thank you so much! The service wasnt the friendliest and the menu and how to order was kind of confusing but if you want a place to relax and eat good sushi, I highly recommend it!

Best sushi buffet in brandon. I ve been here multiple times and no complaints yet, everything is tasty, portion sizes are good. Customer service is top notch! Prices are decently priced as well.

I had been wait ing months to eat there actually came all the way from Quebec to see some family and was so excited to eat there but they told me they were closed on Tuesdays which was fine but when we did have the chance to go back and eat there the service was terrible the rice was still warm and sushi rice is meant to be cold even the fish was warm I was so disappointed it made me feel sick afterwards to and the lady s in there were rude

Good food however last time I was here they started limiting menu items at lunch, some of the items that were limited were the vegan options too which was unfortunate. This visit they were late opening up and the place was freezing, slow to get the food out.

Good food, place was nearly full when we got there. Will definitely return. Kid-friendliness: Went there with my friend and her kids. Owner of the restaurant was very friendly toward all of us. Wheelchair accessibility: Area has ramp and table can be moved to accommodate all sort of request.

Great dinner special

Very poor service and rude customer interaction. Sat there for 2 hours and barely got any food. Had to track down servers even for drinks. Was told by the server not to order Sashimi because it took too long. Overall an unpleasant experience and not great food.

Very disappointed, extremely rude customer service. Waited 2.5hrs and didnt get what we want because we ordered sashimi. When we asked the server she questioned us why we ordered sashimi instead of other items. We showed our order from the phone and she took my phone to the kitchen area without my permission. We ended up ordering what the server wants so that we can get some food for the price we pay. Extremely disappointed. Will never go back!

They now have a Robot that assists in serving food. Kids love it! Food still is awesome. Sakura roll is a must try.

If you ever had a bad experience in the last few years and stopped eating at Sushi Hut due to quality of food and services. Good news new owner changed my opinion today. The food was awesome and staff was awesome. So much faster then before. Keep it up!!! We will finally have our family dinners there again for sure.

Best experience with new owner and staff! My husband and I stopped going here for awhile last year due to the previous staff and how rudely we were treated. But we re happy to be back and will keep coming back due to new management. We spoke to new owner directly and she was very friendly and her staff was great! 10/10 service which is definitely the best I ve seen at sushi hut! Food was also delicious.

Always a great experience dining there I ordered take out and received the wrong order. Skip customer service was no help, but sushi hut was very nice and apologetic about replacing the meal for me even though they didnt have too. Amazing customer service and food

The food was ok but no real presentation. I was there twice in a month and both times there were items missing from our order. The real downside though is that you can only do all you can eat, and its very expensive for what you get. The bill was over $70 for my son and I and we definitely did not eat $70 worth of sushi.

As a Winnepeger, it is my first time to eat @sushi hut brandon. The taste is no difference with the expensive sushi restaurants in Winnipeg. Their miso soup tastes really good. Everything on their menu taste really good. The server and staff are doing their job really well. It is outstanding that they are all friendly and smiling to customers. Went there on Sunday 2pm. Choose all you can eat. That was a satisfying sushi experience.

Popped in for a quick lunch, ordered off menu. Food was very good and came out pretty quick. Lots more on the menu I would like to explore. Will be back.

My favorite sushi place in Brandon!

I have been coming to Sushi Hut for over 10 years now. I have seen some major improvements since the new ownership took over last year. The new owners are very kind and caring. It is quite a change from the previous owners that would yell at each other across from the restaurant. I find the quality of the food spectacular as always, and the portions are good. You can tell the owners put a lot of love and pride in their food. The price is within a good range for an all you can eat sushi buffet. The new owners have done quite an improvement in the look of the restaurant as well, including new paint throughout, and a new floor instead of the old carpet that was there. The restaurant is much cleaner now. I would say best sushi in South Westman hands-down! You don t want to miss this!

Food is always delicious and great service!

Order food online for a pick at 6:40 showed up on time food was not even started haf to wait in parking lot for additional 20 mins. I have to small children that were hungry and inpatient. If your systems are not working dont offer the online Order system. The food was good just need work on service.

Very slow. Forgot some of the order. Did not get wasabi or ginger or any sauces. Would not recommend.

I absolutely love this place. Best sushi I have ever had. The atmosphere is fantastic and service is always amazing. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for the best place to go out for dinner and you love sushi. They offer plenty of variety in their menu. I have personally came back many times and have almost tried every on their buffet menu and I can confidently say its all spectacular.

Best sushi place in Brandon! If youre nervous and new to sushi they still have lots of options but if you want to go full-on sushi theyve got your back. I suggest their mango roll just because its amazing.

Hands down worst experience at a sushi restaurant. Waiter was completely rude, even dropped a plate on the table like she didn t care. I never post reviews but this was brutal. Never going back.

Pretty hard to get full in an all you can eat restaurant when it takes nearly the full 2 hour time limit to receive most of your order. Sat down at 5pm, ordered promptly, got our first bit of food in half an hour and decided to order more. Waited another hour for 1 roll to come out and then nothing. Was finally approached at 6:45 asking why we were waiting and if we wanted to order more. They couldnt even find our missing items in the system even though our order said it was still being made. Just paid and left. Used to be one of our favorite restaurants and one we would drive out of our way for, but bad service and sub par food compared to how it used to be doesnt cut it anymore. Not going back anytime soon.

The buffet consists of filling out request sheet for items then they bring to you. Overall its ok but lately they took long time between requests.. Update: Went recently since reopened for dine in. The workers seemed more rude this time and the prices have gone up... Update: They jacked up their prices. The evening buffet on weekends is now $28.99 CAD, so they are no longer as affordable. Also you now have to use convoluted order system app to order. They should just provide tablets on each table instead... Update: It was a lot more packed now than before on latest visit.

Oh la la. I took my kids out to lunch out for the first time in 2 years, I had never gone in and ordered through my phone, I asked 2 different waitresses for help and direction. They both we re rude or maybe just couldn t understand me so ignored my requests on how to keep track. It was a frustrating experience and I won t be going back terrible service sadly because I have enjoyed take out from them on all my « in town shopping trips, not anymore il find somewhere that listens to a customer asking for help when feeling uncomfortable with the new process.

Terrible service! Not work the 40 bucks per person Had to order online from table and between 2 people the wait times between sushi choices were upwards of 40 minutes! Too much idle time between choices. Worst all you can eat sushi restaurant I have ever been to! The servings were mediocre at best and the staff were pumping out the skip the dishes orders and neglecting their patrons at tables. At one point ALL staff sat for break while we were still waiting for our 3rd dish. The servers brought 2 dishes that we didnt even order....flawed online system and poor communication! Wont return that is a given!

Was charged full price for my sisters 3 year old but forgot to bring it up so I feel some fault in that. Food was good, had trouble getting the table based ordering to work but otherwise very good food, love the portions

That was terrible! A salad was a half a piece of lettuce and miso soup was a half a small container of cloudy tasteless water. The chicken teriyaki was ok, but over all, not good. Expensive for half a meal. Stay clear

They are very organized here and have consistent quality. I do think it is ridiculous to spend 26 dollars on lunch. Completely out of this world to spend that much on lunch.

It s become much more difficult to eat after changing the boss

Do not tip! Do not tip!!! Do not tip!!!!!!! The owner keeps ALL the tip and staff gets NOTHING!!! Apparently it s legally to do that in Manitoba. According to Friend of mine used to work in there. When I dined in, the owner was literally screaming to server through out the entire time. There were at least 8 other tables but her voice covered all the customers who were talking. Spend your money somewhere else which won t treat their staff like slave.

Menu that is posted online is no longer accurate, owner should remove and repost the menu. Quality has also gone downhill.

Smell humid, I didn t like the atmosphere bathrooms were not clean. the food was OK .. but not delicious. Sorry, I think we are not coming back. I try to see the sushi area and I was basically intercepted by the manager weird.

Make sure to eat EVERY SINGLE BITE on your table, otherwise they ll charge you extra!!! And I mean EVERY bite. To top it off, the manager argued with me about how she will not make money if they don t force patrons to eat every bite, I told her the cost of the buffet is your money! NEVER going here again. I love going here. I wish there was some sort of reward program or earn points or punch card for when you come here. Delicious food though and I love the use of ordering from your phone. Wish there was more photos for items.

Friendly staff and great food! We had not been there in a while, and were surprised by them moving to a digital ordering system. Just scan the QR code on your table, and you are taking to an online ordering system, with pictures for most items. Very easy to navigate. Parking: Parking lot of front and to the side, also had street parking.

The food was excellent had a great meal. I recommend going for a meal at sushi hut Japanese cuisine. Hit the spot right after work. Enjoyed a nice Ive cold cola as well with dinner. All you can eat. 5 s from me.

Service was extremely slow. We placed our first order at approx. 5:40pm. By 6:20, we realized it had been 40 minutes. We placed our second order, as we thought if it s taking long, we should order it then. About 10 minutes later, we started to receive items from our second order, while still not receiving our items from our first order. We called over multiple waiters, and were told they re busy and they accidentally gave our food to another table (who came after us). By the end of our stay, we had only received 1/4 of our first order, which was cold. One of the girls, Jaz, in particular, was very kind and very understanding when we asked to cancel our orders cause we were ready to leave. We have been coming here for many years and always thought of this place as a gem in Brandon. We are very disappointed. Parking: Impossible to find a parking spot

This became one of the worst sushi restaurants Ive been to. Because this restaurant wasnt like that before. This time I waited about 40 minutes for the sashimi and was told that the other types of sashimi I ordered were out, so I only got the salmon sashimi. Later, I still waited a long time to order salmon sashimi, and the experience was really bad. I went to this restaurant a year ago and the experience was still great, so it wasnt like that before the change of owner. I was very disappointed with this experience and will not be going again.

Very bad experience. The owner intended to downsize your sashimi order and double the other stuff like tempura. I guess this is their aim to reduce the cost. But if that it is dont advertise as all your can eat.

It was a wonderful dinner with my fiancés family. The new owner is super nice and the waitresses are very attentive. We did all you can eat and orders came within 10 min. You would have to not like sushi to not like this place.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here today. I loved the experience. From the tasteful decor to the calm atmosphere, it was a comfortable and nice place. The green tea is top notch and the sushi is so fresh and delicious; easily the best I have ever had. But the absolute best part of our experience was our server Jasmeena. She was so friendly and kind and attentive to us the whole time. This establishment is very lucky to have her working there.

When given the choice our staff always unanimously vote to go to the Sushi Hut! We were catered to quickly, with scrumptious food and staff that were friendly and very accommodating. Great quality products and quick, efficient ordering process - I just wish there was a different option other than the styrofoam/aluminum takeout containers - our tempura and rolls are always so soggy by the time we get home. Otherwise, the taste and creativity of their creations are top notch.

We have been missing going out for dinner for such a long time and were so excited to go out for a sushi date. Sushi hut did not disappoint. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and their service was fast. There was plenty of space for social distancing. We felt totally safe. Im surprised that there was no wait to get in. We will be back again soon.

No prices on their online dine in menu. Ordered a couple things, (taste is 4/stars) but didnt know what the bill would be. $62 for my wife and I to get half full. For myself this meal size would have covered my appetizer. Glad mcdonalds is next door got a few burgers to fill up on the drive home after.

Great place for all you can eat sushi. I love the food here. The service is good, however, its hard when the servers dont speak English very well. But they do a good job regardless and are very polite. Place is relatively clean and has a nice atmosphere. The food though.... Is excellent. Price is good for all that you can order. This was a great place to order food. We chose not to eat in but took the Sushi home for dinner. It would have been better to purchase one dinner special per person but it is quite expensive. Worth it though!

Issues with the new ordering system for sure but the food was good once we got it.

Didnt allow us in because my child doesnt have photo ID. We came with our vaccination documents but still refused service because my 13 yo doesnt have an ID card. The school pictures havent even taken place at her school so how could she even get a valid school ID? Nowhere else has had this. We show our vax cards and no problem. Unreasonable.

Brutal service, we waited 30 minutes for our first 3 rolls, then 45 minutes for 2 more. We ended up having to leave and just as we were leaving the 2 rolls showed up that we were waiting 45 minutes for. They had the audacity to charge us TWENTY DOLLARS for the 2 rolls. I hope they put that 20 dollars to good use because thats the LAST time we will ever eat there.

Have only been during busy times and it takes forever to be seated then forever to be served food. Friends we were with had 2 plates of food before we had anything so that was a little awkward. If we go again will try during a not so busy time and see if that helps. Staff also not very friendly.
