My husband And I decided to eat at your establishment on Dec 7 at 3pm ish..first off the bathroom floors seemed liked they were washed with real dirty water and the paper towel dispenser were washed with same water( no sanitizing here it looks like) The waitress was patient and courteous as she waited for us to decide what to order Both My husband and I ordered the roastesery chicken hot sandwich..I swear the potatoes were instant potatoes out of a box..and it was cold my butter wouldn't even melt in it...the vegetables were cold also..my husband said his French fries were cold..only thing that was acceptable was the gravy on the sandwich which was warm not hot There is a temp food is to be served at ...and this definitely was not it We Mentioned to waitress she was apologetic( not her fault) and gave us 8.00 discount.. Me personally would have given more off or a gift certificate. The end result...won't be eating there again ever
We went to Swiss Chalet for dinner and tried the Festive Special, it was amazing! The food was delicious, and the festive touches made it even more enjoyable. Our server, Lovepreet, was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a great experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Ordered Swiss chalet through skip this afternoon, the food was disgusting. I got a poutine which stunk of fish and were clearly reheated fries and the broccoli cheese and chicken soup which was tiny for being $8. It was obviously old and did not smell like broccoli or chicken and had virtually no taste. No bun or anything included just one pack of two crackers. I had ordered a side of stuffing which specifically said in the description it would be packaged separately but it came dumped in with my coworkers chicken. They did not bother to include a spoon for the soup. My coworker could not eat her meal either, the chicken was dry and fishy and the baked potato was not cooked but still raw in the middle. I spent $30 on inedible trash and I guess that's on me. Lesson learned.
Great place to go. Our server Cara was wonderful. Very attentive and fun to talk with. Food was so good. A shame to get full. No room for dessert, maybe next time.
Expected better for what I paid. Ordered the roast beef and mashed potatoes. What arrived was about 4 thin slices of roast beef that appeared to resemble lunch meat. One small scoop of mashed potatoes that tasted like powered mashed potatoes and a small amount of corn. Everything felt like it was pre cooked and just microwaved. Don’t waste your time here.
Quick friendly service. Pretty good food but we were a little late at night so the chicken was a bit dry
After standing in the lobby by the hostess desk for quite sometime unacknowledged I was finally escorted to a table and given a menu, I quickly ordered my meal but was told that there would be a 15 minute wait for my chicken I didn’t really have much choice so I waited. Finally my meal showed up and it was cooked appropriately and tasted fine although I was surprised at the half full small bowl of the Swiss chalet sauce and when I inquired why there was so little the waitress simply quipped “that was what I got” 🙄 I was one of only three small tables of guests and so I was curious why everything had taken so long but finally my dessert showed up, strangely markedly much smaller than the advertisement right in front of me (see photo) and then before I had even finished my dessert unceremoniously an interact machine was dropped in front of me and I felt like I was getting the bum’s rush even though the restaurant was basically empty. It was an okay dining experience but certainly not warm and welcoming or something that I’d like to repeat anytime soon, don’t get me wrong the food was fine it’s just the lapse in profession service that you should expect from a national chain that left me with that feeing.
Drove down from Winnipeg for the first time and had an incredible time with friends. The representative, Rucio was so kind, welcoming, friendly and amazing. She made us feel at home ensured that we had a memorable time
We always pop in when we are in the area. There isnt one near us. Glad to see Festive special is back with more!

Love the swiss chalet we go there for dinner once a month or by take out i am a half a chicken guy with mashed potatos.we love the place staff is great even the manager,ha ha.we will see you soon.

Our server really made us feel appreciated. We got a few Lindt chocolates to take home along with the mini donuts. So sad that this restaurant is no longer available in Winnipeg!

We were in Brandon on a Saturday night. Service was very slow. She took our order then went to another table and took their order. They got their order 30 minutes before us and they had more people. They left people standing waiting for seats for a long period. Its no wonder Swiss Chalet is closing out. This one has a lot of problems to fix.

I ve always liked Swiss chalet I like the fact it s always clean. The food is always delicious and fresh. The fries are awesome. I m giving it a five star. We had to wait a little bit to get a seat when we got it. We got fast service and good food.

Ordered the fish and chip dinner x2 received via delivery company which got my preordered by 2 hours plus of a specific time 15 mins late. The fries were either soggy or hard as a rock and not edible, the fish was ok but soggy in spots and the entirety of both meals were cooler than room temp. For almost $52 it was sadly lacking in all areas.
The waitress didn t seem to want to be there and she showed it. The chicken was very dry and the fries were cold. The waitress brought the wrong drink. Not worth going back.
We got the combo chicken and fries my wife and I, i wasnt told it cost extra for the white meat which was 1.80 each on top of the 38 dollar combo just for white... I asked for onion rings instead of the fries and never got them. We also had the kids with us there meals were fine but just the total price of everything was a $75 too pricey for me and service was quite slow which it wasnt very busy. Not the place for my family we wont back.
Great service, friendly staff
My family would have wanted to spend late lunch at this place, but there was no host to sit us down and then we took the liberty of sitting, then we were rudely told that next time to wait yet we ve apologised in a calm manner even though we ve been waiting for someone to give us a table for a long time, yet the demeanor of your staff was still very rude, like being treated as an uninvited guest. It wasn t even that busy only one or two tables were filled, thats why we had to bring our business to East side Mario s. Definitely not going back to this place.
Swiss Chalet has been my favorite place to eat. I just wish they hadnt closed the Winnipeg locations down.
Food was exactly what I remember from the last visit many years ago at another location which reminds me why I wish I went somewhere else. Waitress was pleasant enough she just looked like she would rather be anywhere but there. Hostess was friendly.
Left at 9:40PM and realized restaurant closed at 9pm. They did not rushed us. We checked online, and we chech the hours posted on the door it says they closed at 10pm on Fridays. Family enjoyed the meal. Staff were very friendly. It was a good experience in all.
WOW, worst place I have ever stopped at. My family and I stopped in and waited and waited for someone to seat us. Finally we looked around for someone hoping to seat us somewhere, couldnt find anyone at first and figured they were closed even though the doors were open. We walked back and forth looking for someone that worked there. We finally found a woman working there who stayed she was the only one there, we left as we figured if we had to stand that long and search for someone, we could tell right away that the service would be horrible. I would definitely avoid this place. Its ridiculous trying to get any food there.

Well, it started with this chicken restaurant running out of chicken. I ended up with some of the worst food at a dine inn restaurant that I have ever had. They should be ashamed and close their doors. It was epically bad
Decent food, but ive never had such slow service... Also bolt down the table benches as they keep shfiting backwards.
The place was filthy. Even the floors in the bathroom was sticky. It wasnt busy at all but felt like we were being pushed out the door. The waitress had eyelashes that looked like catipillars and nails longer than an inch. What if the false eyelashes fell into someones food? How does she clean under those nails? Why would she be working in a the food service industry and think that was sanitary? Whos training these little kids? They forgot something on our order twice and took it off our bill which was nice.. it genuinely seemed like we were ruining a bunch of kids nights by walking in there. Im actually embarrassed for this establishment. Ive read these reviews myself before coming here and I thought people were trying to give some poor tweenage girls a bad review. Nope. This place was awful. The only thing that tasted good in my opinion were their fries.

Horrible service. Took almost an hour to get the SPECIAL of the weekend. Then another half hour for anyone to come back to our table to give us the bill. Will not be returning again.
It was hell I had a party of 7 people the waitress we had was great but others were not able to carry out orders, they were all over the place didnt know what they were doing or which tables to attend for instance gravy tasted burnt and the sauce for the chicken was spicy and at the pie was frozen solid, who ever the manager is and supervisor were Im here to tell you 2 you have a mess running a business cause I am a chef myself and never had any problems like you have on your premises, never seen anything like it,I will never go back to your establishment ever again.
My friend Margaret and I went in for lunch. My first time in there. Beanlak and Cassandra were the staff that waited on us. They both were friendly and very helpful, and checked on us several times. We both had chicken meal, it was very tasty home made fries. Lots of food. Quite impressed

I have no idea where these other reviewers ate but it cant be the Brandon location (unless the reviews are for the other attached restaurant). I am a huge fan of Swiss Chalet food. It is delicious and portions are great. I never feel like I paid too much for what I got. However, this location has never been managed or staffed properly. Its actually a joke now to go there because the service is so awful. Weve waited 20 minutes in the lobby before without being greeted. Weve waited an hour for our food (2x), once where the waitress came out at the 45min mark and asked what we ordered again because it was lost. Theyve run out of chicken several times. Today we went in and were told that itd be 25minutes before a table could be cleaned for us, there were 3 tables seated at the time. The moral of the story is the food and value is great, and it keeps us coming back, despite the crazy incompetence.
Just ordered ,your portions get any smaller for your take out, I wont be ordering from you any more!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Food was delicious and well cooked. Featured deal on the chicken and shrimp was well worth the value. Seated and served efficiently. Only complaint was the booth by the window an ice box, but then, it was -35°C outside. Enjoy this place! Bone apple teeth everybody!

Waited 10 minutes to get a table at an almost empty restaurant. Went in at 430. It took almost an hour to get our food, and they screwed up on my husbands order, but we were tired of waiting, so didnt end up sending it back. There were several tables seated after us that had eaten and left before we even got our food. Had to wait another 15 minutes to get our table cleared and had to ask for the bill. Wont be going back.

My husband and I went to the Harveys side at Swiss Chalet. We were not impressed with the food...expensive for what you get. I have had better burgers, elsewhere.

First time at this place in Brandon. We were theee for lunch with 4 adults and 3 kids. It was busy, but the staff was nice. The kids ate free because it was Wednesday, but they never got their dessert. Oh well.

Kids meals filled up the kids and they ate happily. There are lots of choices, but they are familiar choices, so they are great with kids. For us there was enough variety, and some interesting choices for when we want to try something new.
