So fun hood food

After a 2 hour wait for our food we had to get it packed to go .This is with a reservation this should not happen.Nothing special about the food for the price.Alberts ,Benny s has the keg beat hands down. Trying to complain to the manager which he rudely walked away after blaming us for being 5 minutes late.He offered no explanation except to blame us.Terrible manager.I have worked customer service for years and hate to complain but wow I felt so offended and he didn t give one care .The only positive was our server was very friendly.Do better guys for what you charge snotty management is unacceptable

Good was great, service was okay. Waitress was very nice but the food was horribly slow. Took over an hour after ordering. Usually much quicker.

This restaurant serves up good food. I especially like the way my steak is cook. Highly recommended and will return. Parking: Plenty of parking surrounding restaurant, but of course first come first serve basis.

Used to be the top dining location of Brandon. Needs a refresh in regards to interior design. Ive been many times and I no longer order steaks since they cant seem to cook a steak right. Menu hasnt changed in ages. Beer selection is extremely limited. Youll get a better and less costly experience at somewhere like Browns or Original Joes.

My steak was cold in the middle and wasnt seared properly. One part of it was super salty too it was weird. Loved how clean it was though and our server was amazing, was able to speak Spanish which was super helpful.

I normally do not give bad reviews but this place deserves that special occasion. Coming from BC where the keg is a high quality establishment, I was very disappointed in this specific keg. I would rate every other keg a 5/5, but this one doesnt even compare against average restaurants even though its supposed to be a high caliber high price restaurant. We were very excited to go here for our anniversary but were sorely disappointed. Food: my burger was very clearly reheated and soggy. The fries were stale. Mcdonalds is better. My girlfriend ordered a steak. They barely seasoned any of the food. It was just plain. Service: Was okay. Atmosphere: the knives are all dull, dirty and chipped. We could barely cut bread with them. The leather of the seats are worn and ripped. The interior looks like the inside of houstons, and the exterior looks like a refurbished old house.

Don t even get me started on this abismal and awful establishment besides my awesome and beautiful trans waitress everything was awful. My steak was cat meat I know it and my potatoes were covered in blood, if I wasn t on meth I would ve not tipped but here we are!

You people need to eat at the Longhorn or a Texas Roadhouse, then you would know what a real meal at a real steakhouse is !! Will not come back here !

The Keg in Brandon continues to be a fantastic dining experience. Staff are well trained and courteous. Atmosphere is steak house so dark and traditional. Food is of good quality and well prepared.

I had the blackened chicken and it was not done enough and I got sick from it. It took me almost a week to recover from. I cut into the thickest part and it was questionable but with the dim lights seemed like was maybe ok. Nope should have gone with my gut and had it cooked a few more minutes. I did leave a portion of that over. Otherwise the meal was great. Previously they had cooked it more. Next time I will request the chicken just be cooked a bit longer if it comes to the table at the almost barely done mark. Parking: The actual parking lot is way to small so have to go a ways down the streets often which is ok.

Everything was perfectly prepared, service was the very best, only the price tag was a shocker but what isnt these days!

My family have been attending Keg since the eighties and gifting each other certificates I have eaten twice I the last year latest been April 2024 worse each time. Last time lobster meat was three inches long. The mushroom plate was always a delicious must but this time was gross no seasoning and seemed done in oil. Tasted awful The steaks were ok.

2 of us one ordered our steak medium rare. The other ordered medium. Both came out extremely well done. Even the potato was black and dried out the mushrooms were black. The outside Of the steak was black. The inside was Gray half the one steak was not even Is chewable on the last few bites. That was after everything took forever to come out. The restaurant was 3/4 full at most. The waiter was very nice Latino. Gentleman, however, we could not hear a word. He was extremely slow at bringing everything out to us. This is supposed to be the nicest place in Brandon to go. Eat and everybody sitting around in dirty clothes and baseball caps. We should have spoke up but because how slow everything was we were Starving, and so hungry.We didnt want to wait that long again for another Overdone steak

Normally The Keg is our Go To for special occasions, we celebrate birthdays & our anniversaries there. The last couple times, January of this year 2024 & November of 2023, we haven t been that impressed. The service is ALWAYS GREAT but the food well, I don t know, it s just not the same. I don t know if they have different chefs or what but even the cheesecake isn t the same (it used to be light & fluffy, melt in your mouth, now, not so much). Oh and the last couple times, they ve seated us right under the air vents & this last time they said they couldn t shut the air conditioning off because it was broken (it s the middle of winter!). Sorry Keg but I think it s time for us to change it up & maybe make Brown s Social House our new Go To.

Shouldnt complain about the meal. After the fact that we all ate it. But after chatting amongst ourselves. A number of Our meals were disappointing. I had the sirloin. Requested Medium, came out well done. No pink. Vegetables were dry, broccoli burnt. Almost like they were reheated. Friend had an appie, mushroom dip. Bread seemed burnt. Plus the prime rib. He stated that the prime rib was cold in the middle. Table service was good. As always, very attentive staff. But the last few times Ive been to the Brandon Keg. Its been a disappointment. Not worth the $1k, our group left there. Tip and Taxes included.

Went here on New Year s Day and OMG was it terrible! My husband has been so sick since that night we think food poisoning and everything was barely warm and we were sat by the kitchen!! Never will go back - Ever!!

worst steak i have ever seen destroyed. sirloin ordered welldone came burnt black ,one side 3/4 black other side 100% black , charcoal was 1/8 inch thick. then my wife went to washroom to be confronted with 6 girls 10-12 yr. that were climbing on toilets ,hanging over stall walls and screaming .when manager was asked to not allow this behavior in expensive restaurant ,while chewing gum replied what am i supposed to do about it.i liked my ribeye at med rare , but it almost seemed like a joke/prank for ordering a well done, which she has done for the 45 yr. of our marraige and never have we seen a steak ruined to this degree. $54 steak type of BEANERY SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE MORE CLASS THAN A GUM CHEWING MANAGER THAT IS MOE INCOMPETENT THAN HIS BURN IT BLACK CHEF Kid-friendliness: TOO FRIENDLY TO POOR BEHAVIOUR

Is a nice place, quiet and cozy enough for a nice time out, decoration is good, lighting is good, sitting areas are comfortable and total ambient is good, service is friendly and fast plus very knowledge about menu and beverages option, food is good portion and quality is good. sitting area and bathroom are kept in pristine conditions. over all a good dining experience. Parking: the parking is quite large i would say 20+ vehicles, is on the eastside of the building just off 19 Stwith the option o using part of the street as additiona parking if need it. Wheelchair accessibility: there is wheelchair access, entrance is wide and doors are quite large if you need them open both, main area is still accesible but the top part will be a challenge and the bar area is open enough for a person to move around.

Still really 1 of the best overall restaurants in Brandon. Fairly decent consistantly.

The last 2 times we had very bad meals but management always took care of us. Just wanted to share that this last visit was A Fantastic service, meal, and atmosphere on the lounge side. Well done - we did arrive about 5:30pm and both times we had bad meals we had late arrival times - 8pm Looking forward to our next visit here. The house red wine was a perfect pairing to the peppercorn steak.

My lobster was a little bit cold, the Stake was ok, the veggies fair. It just didnt wow me.

I made a mis-STEAK by ordering the Ribs at a Steakhouse (very fatty+++). However, the Wine & Cheesecake were l vely.. Wheelchair accessibility: Not many options, we had to sit in the lounge with loud club music playing. There wasnt much room in the dining room area for other ppl to be able to get around a large mortorized chair. The General Manager didnt seem too impressed with my comment about space for the chair and people being able to get around us and stated we do it all the time but he had not seen the size of the chair yet and a motorized chair is a bit bigger than a wheelchair.

Excellent food and very friendly staff. The fish and lobster dishes were exquisite.

Thoroughly impressed! Celebrated my wifes birthday with a classic meal of steak and lobster and a sirloin oscar. While costing around $150 for the both of us, they deliver some excellent food and even better service in a great vacillty with a great vibe. Great! And, if you mention a celebration, they let you choose any dessert from the menu, leaving an especially good taste in your mouth. Erica served us with professionalism and kindness. A smart choice for the special occasions of life.

Just finished washing my elbows because our table wash really sticky, probably due to the fact that we watched every table that was wiped while we were there was wiped with the same scuzzy cloth that was never rinsed, just hung to dry on top of the spray bottle they spray the tables with. Unbelievable. The steaks were perfect and the grilled veg were warm and very firm, my double baked potatoe was OK. Service was great. We wont be returning however due to the fact that the cleaning practices were absolutely pointless. Even if that bottle is straight bleach, which it isnt, the hygiene is like eating at a kennel.

Had steak and lobster. The steak was tough, took alot of sawing to cut it up. Lobster was delicious though. Filet mignon was ordered by someone else at the table and it melt in your mouth. Great service and atmosphere.

No sauce no milk

Overpriced and overcooked. We used to love the Keg and so after 3 years of being gone we were excited to try it again. Ordered pick up, husband arrived a couple minutes early and was rudely brushed off by the bar staff and sent to the front to wait. Got the food back and it was definitely not worth the money. Order states blackened chicken comes with a side of veg and mashed, and the online order asks to pick an additional side, so I did. I ended up adding an additional mashed with it, and these were fine however the order came with the smallest piece of chicken, not blackened, hard outside and dry. Mashed potatoes were great, salad was great, wings were ok. Overall disappointed in dérive and food we received.

Its really unfortunate that food prices have gotten so horrible that its being seen in restaurants all over because, I absolutely love The Keg! Aside from what they cant control, this place is still the most amazing places for a romantic dinner. The dishes are still to die for and always the perfect steak! The service is always over-the-top exceptional and without being annoyed by constant interruptions. Beautiful location! So aside from the prices going up, which they cant control, this is the greatest place to enjoy a nice meal with your partner or staff get-together.

Very dissatisfied. The steak at a higher end steakhouse is normally the best part...... Theirs was embarrassing at best. My wife and sons steaks were so tough and undercooked they were inedible. My wife couldnt even cut or chew her steak it was so tough. I tried it and confirmed... it was boot leather. Hers was medium but came out on the lower end of medium rare and my son ordered medium rare and got a bit better than blue rare. I ordered the rib steak medium rare... 80% was literally raw, not blue... RAW. and the rest was rare at best but id call it blue if someone asked. It was so chewy I had to chew for 3 minutes after every bite and the crust wasnt crust, it was burnt on seasoning. All in all we spent $250 to eat a bit of bread, French fries and we all shared our kids chicken fingers. Not what you deserve for a dinner at that price or any price for that matter and they didnt even seem to care. I would suggest you take your few hundred dollars to the grocery store instead of wasting it here. Utterly underwhelming and unsatisfactory. *Edit* When I contacted, they basically apologized that they have bad meat and sub par cooks but insisted I come back and spend another $300 to give them another chance. The place is a joke from ownership down and has fell off MASSIVELY.

This place is amazing! Me and my husband come here for date night, staff is amazing, and their pies and steaks are to die for!

Very dissatisfied The Winnipeg locations are world class and this Brandon location should be ashamed of the way they treated us last night Ill never return

It was definitely expensive. But it was an excellent expensive fine dining experience. Kid-friendliness: The kids were able to order a keg burger, which suited them just fine.

Great food and atmosphere

What an experience! The manager told our Christmas of 15 to leave as soon as the desert arrived. Apparently he had another group ready to take our table. Everyone quickly finished up and left. We have never experienced anything like this, especially after dropping over $2000 on a dinner. We won t be back. He was rude !!!

Ceaser brussels were amazing. Filet was overdone but they went above and beyond to make it right and did not detract from a wonderful evening.

Both steaks were overcooked one was burnt. Zero flavor. Hardly any sauce. The shrimp and scallops seemed boiled, no color or flavor. Broccoli was undercooked so much I would consider it raw. Drink was to spicy when ask it not to be. Tables were to close for COVID19 restrictions. Seating was horrible. Waiter was never to be found when needed. For how we received our food the price was extreme. I have ate there numerous times and never had a complaint and my meals have been great. Maybe this night was an off night for them.

Have been going to the Keg for over 25 years and it s always been my go to place for a great meal. When we were there a month ago they ran out of potatoes, not sure how that happens. The bathroom was out of soap, with empty soap bottles and paper towels laying everywhere. Went there again a week ago and at 7pm they were out of bread but offered nothing else but still charge the full price. Not sure what has happened to the Keg but the management and organization has totally gone down hill , I wish another similar place would come to town.

Ive had one excellent, and one absolutely poor experience with this location. The excellent met all standards I hold for The Keg, but the poor was disappointing. The prime rib was immensely overcooked, and represented nothing to what the server presented as a sample. What was displayed as at most medium, in fact arrived medium well - well done. I found it impossible to eat about 1/3 of the way through, and informed the server I tried, but I couldnt eat something that overcooked. Aside from no apology, or attempt to remedy the situation, the server was great. But a $70 bill of unenjoyable prime rib is pretty outrageous.

I found a few minor changes on the neg side however our entire experience was great. The nachos have definitely changed. No guacamole, no veggie toppings and minimal cheese but the French onion soup made up for it. Everything we ordered felt rushed as the next plate was up before we were even halfway into our appetizers and salads . The main course was cold but still delicious. I understand restaurants are put in a stronghold with limited table restrictions so with that in mind, we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to our very kind and caring waitress , our anniversary meal was to our satisfaction.

First they lost my reservation which I made in January for Feb 14th. Then they got us in for and manager did tell us we could have the table by fireplace, because of the mix up. Nope we were put elsewhere. Our server was great, my food was great I had a special. My husbands had the rib steak it was nothing but grizzle, he ended taking it home for our dog. This was the first time he could not eat steak there, he was very disappointed Kathy Rawluk

The half ribs I ordered was okay but the vegetable medley was super overcooked and oily. The calamari appetizer is very oily too. Everything is overpriced not even yummy. Not coming back at all.

All the food ordered was fresh. I had a 12 oz steak that was a little over done but everything else for our party of 5 was excellent.

Pretty poor for what you pay. Last 3 visits my steak wants cooked properly. If your a steakhouse and cant do steak right, theres a lock on the door, lock it, throw the key away, shame this used to be a great place to eat, last 3 times I left disappointed. I truly feel that if you enjoy a good meal at a fair price, You should spend your money elsewhere. Id 0 star if I could Edit: Someone gave us gift cards, we had blackened chicken and soggy vegetables and a full rack of ribs, with about 16 fries. What you see in my pictures was 86 dollars. I feel so ripped off, I will no longer accept gift cards from the keg as gifts, they will be instantly regifted, these days when everyone is working hard to get ahead The Keg should be ashamed of itself to charge this much for this disgusting meal. I could not eat the ribs, they were awful, I ate the fries and threw the rest out. I went to Sobeys bought some ribs, gave em a proper rub and grilled in the bbq with a few smoke pucks. I will never spend another dollar, be it mine or a gift card in Keg Brandon, and whoever made my meal last night: You are not a chef, what was sent out last night was a disgrace, I would be ashamed to serve that to anyone. Anyone who prepares meals like this needs to just give up. Lastly I think its a joke when your bartender who doesnt look like hes even legal to serve alcohol, has to look up the most basic drinks in a book. Time to close.

Lost my wedding band I ve had on my finger for 31 years not that the Keg cares , fell down the sink in mens bathroom Tuesday June 14 2022 around 5pm , I reported it to manager took my name and number gave me little hope of ever seeing it again , said he would handle it and still haven t heard from him ? Had to phone again Wednesday June 15 2022 but had his reservation girl handle the situation , said he would contact me today about my ring ?? I believe I won t hear from him or the keg . Not happy with how the whole situation was handled 31 years might be nothing to the keg but it means a lot to me . They are not a caring family restaurant. PERIOD ! Thanks Keg ! Guess you know where you stand in my books !

Stopped in at The Keg for the first time on a trip thru. Service was phenomenal. Prompt, friendly, food was ready fairly quickly. Serving size is on the small side and price is very high. Its not difficult to approach $80 for one person.

Went there a year ago prime rib was flavorless and not cooked right (med rare) fast forward a year wife got gift cards through her credit card figures we would give it another shot called in for a pickup order woman answered was polite (gets you a star) informs us in order to order a pick up we need to go in person and she can do it then.... (Okay?) Or we can order online... We opt for online instead of standing around waiting for our food... Website freezes okay that happens.. pick out our food go to checkout must prepay for a pick up credit card is the only option...

Ordered prime rib. Easily the driest and worst slab of beef I have ever had at the Keg. Will think twice about returning whenever I am back in Brandon.

I was very disappointed in the food! Perhaps an off night but....I guess when you are paying that kind of money you really expect great food and service. Very mediocre I will add that based on my review the Keg in Brandon did reach out and did rectify this to my satisfaction! I will definitely be visiting again.

Met up with friends and everyone enjoyed their meals. I didn t like seeing two of the gals having to struggle cutting their sirloin steaks so I assumed the meat was tough. I never order steak anymore as the last two times I ordered the filet. there was gristle in it. Yum! I like it when the BM pie has some structure to it as ours were sitting out too long before it was served to us.

We were celebrating our anniversary and were quite disappointed about a few things. I had the lobster tail dinner. The sides were unsatisfactory. The mushroom rice was all clumped together, not warm, had no flavor and the texture was like it had been sitting all day or reheated several times. I had to break it up with my fork but it was still mush. The asparagus was dry, no flavor and actually stuck to the plate. Again it was like it had been sitting on the plate for a long time and just dried out. I sent both of these back. The lobster tasted okay but was quite overdone (chewy and crispy). Thankfully there was hot butter. I waited for about 20 minutes to get a new plate of the sides by which time I had already finished my lobster. The replacement sides weren t much better. However, the service overall was very good, the waiter was responsive and apologetic (not his fault) and the manager didn t charge us for one round of drinks. Overall the quality of the food was very disappointing, especially for the price. I have to wonder if food is being cooked a long time in advance of service and left to sit for hours in warming ovens, causing it to dry out and lose flavor and texture. This is now at least 3 times in a row that we have been disappointed. We won t be going to this Keg again.

What an awesome meal. Catching up with an old friend from Australia who was looking forward to prime rib and Billy Miner pie. They were sold out of Billy Miner but our spectacular server (shout out to Laura!!) managed to find us a piece somehow. Thanks for an awesome evening to everyone there! (Yes, the prime rib was awesome too, as expected!)

We came to the Keg for dinner and we were not disappointed. Our waitress Kim was very happy and quick with her knowledge of the menu. I asked for her recommendation and she gave it with why she liked it. Explained that we could still have the summer lobster as they still had some. I asked about a drink I wanted to try and she explained that if I did not like it she would return it no charge and get me a new one, which did happen, FYI: CHILL MANGO MARGARITAS IS TO DIE FOR), lol. We ordered the Mushroom Neptune, was tasty but the mushrooms were very small. I had the Mixed Green salad and Sirloin Oscar and let me say, that was a 10/10 cooked to a perfect Medium and will be my order again. My boyfriend had the Peppercorn New York and he very much enjoyed it but said the peppercorns took alittle bit away from the taste of the perfectly cooked medium rare New York. All in all it was a wonderful meal and a very beautiful restaurant. Sorry no food pics as the food came and I dove in to eat! Lmao

There was lots of loud rowdy guys, the waiter messed up our order and forgot part of the food, the food was over cooked and dry, but the dessert was tasty. Imo not worth the high cost for the meal and experience

Always great food with fantastic service. Very welcoming and inviting staff, mixed with new art and music has made this restaurant very enjoyable. Menu is simple and straight to the point but well executed. I always enjoy my time there.

It was fine - exactly what its supposed to be, Im sure. The food was good, the service was good - maybe a little pricey. Were older, and could have stood it to be a little quieter - but thats probably more on us than them.

Ordered my parents a birthday meal and it was curbside pickup! Everything was hot and well cooked. Steaks were great, Mushrooms well done and full of flavour. They loved the cooked veggies, potatoes and cheesecake dessert. Best restaurant meal in ages! Thank you Keg for making the birthday a success.

Absolutely delicious food with amazing level of customer service!! We were on vacation at Brandon and decided to try it out, it was definitely worth it.

Amazing! They seated us even tho we did not have a reservation...... oh no! we had to sit on the patio, such a shame... beautiful evening, fantastic food and cold drinks! What more could I have asked for!

Had the roast prime rib. We got off to a bad start with a tuna tartare for an Appy at $17? It was warm tuna chunks in a sweet sauce on top of avocado. I tried a bite and then just ate the avocado. Waiter took the plate with no comment. Ahh the rib eye was not a prime graded cut. Marbling was not there. It never had a bone in it The cut was dry and appeared to be cut from an outside round. No fat cover, no grains of fat like is found on a real ribeye roast Server was fixated on serving booze rather than 3 teetotalers

Very good food and ambiance

Came from out of town, decided to treat my wife and go to the keg. Walk in at 8:38 pm and were told we could not be seated because they had restrictions and could not be seating after 8:30pm. We went to Boston Pizza and were seated immediately and had dinner.....

Delicious food, good atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Always an excellent choice for celebrating an occasion.

Walked in at 8:53 pm on a Monday night. Hostess said they don t take walk-ins past 8:40 pm and would not seat us even though they were open until 10:00. It does not say that anywhere on the website or we would have called ahead or made sure to be there 13 minutes sooner. We were a twosome and the place was empty. Asked for an exception as it was my birthday and she still said no. Way to go over and above!

The meal was fantastic as always! Great place to get together with family and share some laughs and delicious food oh and great dessert! Our server tonite, Maddie, was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient!

Food was good. Service what you expect. I was unhappy with the fact there is only one handicap parking space and I had to park way down the street as it was being used.

Steaks are always delicious, highly recommend trying out the baseball version of the top sirloin if you usually get the normal sirloin. I always make reservations online on the app and have no problem with wait times or anything. Parking lot does suck but there is always the road or places nearby. Would love to see some kind of rewards program like scene since their now owned by Recipe Unlimited. At the end of the day, great place for a slightly high priced delicious meal.

We have had bad meals 4 out of the last 5 times that we have been there this summer and that is not like the Keg at all. We have been going there for 30 years and I m not sure what has happened recently but it s not good. To top it off our waitress couldn t care less about having to send our steaks back. My medium steak was raw and came back half the size well done......

Ordered the sirloin Oscar to go. got back to hotel and there was no bernaise sauce so I called back and they made me a new order and this is was I got. My poor fork couldnt hack it!! It was burnt and even with a real steak knife I got from the hotel I had a hard time trying to cut through it. Didnt even eat it!!!

Steak is always deliciously tender! Love the twice baked potatoes.

Delicious!! The steak was excellent. The Billy Miner pie was lovely. It was a perfect evening out. The staff was great, and the atmosphere was mellow. Loved it!!

Great food

Came on a busy night before a Wheaties game. An hour wait for a table but bar seating was available. We decided to go for it and glad we did. Great service and conversation from the bartenders. We will be back for sure

The filet is always phenomenal, service was great drinks were awesome. But pricey but you get what you pay for.

Is it a way better steak than I can make at home? Yep. Is a gift card the only way Im able to afford to eat here? Yep. Is it worth every penny? Yep. Thanks Keg for reminding me how terrible I am at cooking a steak compared to your chef. 11/10 recommend.
