I placed an order over the phone and my shrimp which I got the buffalo was so soggy and mushy and very cold It s like they have been sitting for a very long time. It wasn t even hot or crunchy. I am very dissatisfied. I need someone to call me as soon as possible about this terrible order. I will be bringing them back tomorrow when I get off work

Havent been to that Shells in years. I actually live in Lakeland. The seafood pasta was really good. Enjoyed my meal.

Food came out and it was terrible. Sent it back and it was alot better. The Alfredo sauce was like water. Service was awesome. She took good care of us!!!

I received a coupon in the mail from Shells. When I called to order he said his manager told him not to take coupons for take out. I told him I was right outside and would come in and show them the coupon that did not state that. I came in and showed the bartender. He said he would check with his manager and came out and said No it was only for dine I and handed it back. When i tried to ask about my order he turned away and started to talk to patrons at the bar he knew. This was a Tuesday night so it was not crowded. He kept talking to them and ignored me. I had to be at work so I said Okay thanks, bye and he never even acknowledged me. Poor job by promotions. customer service, wait staff and managerial staff. An hour and a half later I received a call asking if I was ever going to come pick up my food. I explained what happened and he apologized. Very poor communication between staff and bartender was definitely a big part of the problem.

This is our 3rd visit here. We drive from Bradenton because this place is so amazing. The service, our server was Anthony, was great. He often checked on us. The place is super clean and beautifully decorated. AND the food is always just PERFECT!! Its hot, fresh and served in a very timely manner. Looking forward to our next visit.

Call and picked up my food, shrimp salad and crab cakes, fresh hot delicious. Getting price, but where isnt. Always a casual place to dine and relax with loved ones. Good selection of food, and really tasty pasta.

The seafood dip was nasty. The dip was a thick cheese with barely any seafood. The portion is very small.

This place is seriously fantastic! My husband loves seafood so so much and I am vegetarian, so it can make options tricky most places. Shells is always delicious and so accommodating for us, allowing for mushroom substitutes for my entree even though it s not in menu. I would highly recommend having them make them coconut style, it s amazing! He always gets the oysters, they are some of the biggest and freshest around on a regular basis. Definitely a great spot for everyone!

A small gem in this Brandon area. Service and food was great! Our server was excellent. We usually frequent the Shells location on South Dale Mabry in Tampa and I must admit, the consistency of the food and service is admirable. If I had closed my eyes, I couldnt tell which location we were at. Thank you Shells for another delightful eating experience.

I absolutely love Shells Seafood Restaurant! As a picky eater, I have high standards, and this place exceeded all of them. Their clam chowder is hands-down the best you ll find in the Southeast rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The house margaritas are a must-try. The pasta dishes, fish and chips and fried calamari with diavolo (spicy) sauce are also top-notch. On top of the delicious food, the staff is always polite, friendly, and attentive, making every visit a great experience.

Shells is our new favorite seafood restaurant. I got their Tuesday crab special. The crab was well cooked, flavorful, and not mushy. The sides were tasty and generous. My husband had the Jambalaya. He said that it was by far the best he s had in Florida. He loved it! Jambalaya is one of his favorite dishes if it s made in the proper Louisiana fashion. Everywhere else we ve gone in Florida he has complained that they don t know how to make it. Our server was Eric. He provided excellent, friendly service. I highly recommended this restaurant.

We have not been to Shells in quite a long time. So when we received a postcard in the mail, we decided to give it a shot. The quantity of food versus the price and compared to Red Lobster, Shells beat RL hands down. I was so surprised with real scallops, not those fake rubbery disks. They were perfect. My husbands crab legs were filled with a lot of meat and he was extremely happy. Shells is back!!!!!

The name of this place seems to invoke childhood memories as the Mecca of past family gatherings, but I digress. This particular location has changed its main door entrance since the last time I was here. I like that its more inviting. And the waiting section still has those roasted shelled peanuts! Misses and I were seated with ease. Drinks okay. Appetizer we wanted, not available. Entrée dishes we delightfully finished.

I wish I had taken pix of all the food choices that my party ordered! I haven t been to Shells in about 20 years and I was pleasantly impressed. The restaurant had been updated and the food was delicious! We will be back. Our party ordered the jambalaya, hog fish, mahi mahi, crab cakes! Everyone finished their lunch and the jambalaya was boxed up for leftovers. Parking: Plenty of free parking.

Ive been going to Shells over 30 something years this particular day I chose the one in Brandon I had a to-go order for my family absolutely love shells the pasta blackened is to die for they brought it to my car I was so happy because I had my grandbaby with me and I couldnt get out Just overall great experience Kid-friendliness: Shells is a family restaurant the atmosphere is great for kids and adults

My wife and I ate at Shells last Saturday evening for the first time in over 20 years and were both pleasantly surprised at the experience. The place was bright and clean, having apparently been remodeled at least somewhat recently. They had a wide variety of reasonably priced seafood, and what we had was very tasty (crabcake dinner for her and seafood cioppino for me). The service was good also, despite the fact that it was pretty busy, which we were happy to see, as this location had struggled in the past. We will add it to our rotation.

Had to return the Lobster Bisque Soup because it was extremely salty and uneatable. Kitchen agreed.....The Seafood Cioppino was also very salty, but didnt return as not to be a pain....Im guessing Shells made changes to all their food items to use way more salt. I had the same plates last year, and they were fantastic and not salty at all, but not anymore.....

All was good except their water, it tasted funny. No other options for drinks besides fountain drinks and some weird brand $5 water. So...stars off.

I have had two separate occasions where my fish was undercooked and I had to return the meal. However, they were quick to rectify the issue both times. They still get the maximum rating because their clam chowder is phenomenal and I have never had a bad guest experience.

A very pleasant surprise! Last visit to Shells was in Tampa three years ago and it was terrible. This store is terrific. Not much from the outside but clean and pleasant inside. Clam chowder was loaded with clams as advertised! The salmon Felix was delicious, highly recommend. Looking forward to going back.

We ordered the lobster bisque, fried trio, seafood cioppino, and the coconut shrimp with 2 sides (asparagus and fries). I personally was hooked up by our waitress by making the fried shrimp meal into coconut shrimp instead of the appetizer and adding a side. I will say that all of the food was amazing. The fry on the food is light and flavorful. The lobster bisque was AMAZING and I dont even like soup. Now the coconut shrimp was really good too but Id call it a fraud. Its fried shrimp masquerading as coconut shrimp with a dusting of coconut flakes. Now would I get the coconut shrimp again, ABSOLUTELY. All shrimp should come with their sweet chili sauce! The fried trio was a great price for a lot of food that all tasted wonderful. The mandarin coleslaw was pleasantly surprising! The seafood cioppino was also a large portion with a wonderful amount of seafood. Easily 2 potions. If you like your margaritas salty then this is your place to go and for $5 you cant beat it. 10/10 would go again.

The food was amazing the shrimp, scallops and white fish in the fish trio was fantastic the scallops were tinder and not chewy. Both me and my husband were pleased, we both agreed that shells is better then a few other sea food places we have been to and you get a lot for your money.10/10 recommend. It was very relaxing not overly crowded and very friendly staff, Raul was amazing 100% on top of everything.

Went to Shells today in Brandon with my Sister and Nephew. All three of us had Margaritas and the salmon with crab cakes, grilled shrimp with some sort of BBQ sauce which I guess was supposed to hide the fact that the grilled shrimp were BURNED and steamed vegetables I chose french fries my sister and nephew ate their food but not all. I was disgusted to find hair cooked into the Buffalo Shrimp I chose as an appetizer. The waitress apologized and it was replaced with a fresh order however I was not pleased with my food I ate a small amount and asked for a to go box. First and last time for me I felt like I was eating at a dumpster inside a trailer park.

Ordered doordash got the Baby lobster pasta and definitely didnt have any lobster cream sauce only a bunch of grease. Plus had to wait an hour and 15 minutes to get 2 items delivered which my driver had to sit their and wait over 30 minutes for it.

I have been going to Shells since the 90s. Was pleased to see the original take it back over. I was disappointed they closed the E. FOWLER location. I live in tbe Temple Terrace area. A friend from Sarasota drove to take me for seafood. We.decided to.go to tbe Shells Brandon location. WOW!!! We had a sweet young server named Kimberly. She was very attentive to our needs I had a large bowl.of clam chowder. ABSOLUTELY TASTY & think. NOT watered down. Main course...shrimp, scallops, red potatoes cheese cake. My whole meal.was the best meal.in a long time. My friend had a Dungeness crab.. a hefty amount. She said it was also tasty and we.both had left overs to take home. I am visually impaired and even though I am not to drove anymore ... if I could I would love to.go back to this location. Thank you for making my experience a wonderful day

I love the awesome seafood, especially the blackened Mahi Mahi at Shells Seafood in Brandon, FL. I highly recommend them if you are in the mood for seafood. Theyre the best!

I remember going here on a date in high school and thinking it was an absolute mess. Its completely turned around since then! Excellent clam chowder, I had one of the seafood pastas, which was delicious. Freshly brewed sweet tea, plenty of beer and cocktail options. We sat at the bar and the bartender was an absolute peach! Great service. Friendly atmosphere. All of our dinners were amazing! Ive always got take out but recently got to dine in and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The clam chowder is the best Ive had. The prices are very reasonable. I also highly recommend the shrimp mezzo mezzo, the Big Easy, the jambalaya, and the shrimp skewers yum! Theres so much more I want to try but I usually end up ordering one of the above. Cant go wrong with this place!

Always great food & service

We love going to shells in Brandon. We usually go once a month. They have the biggest oysters, I like them steamed. The pasta and shrimp on the skewer is awesome. The best thing about this shells is the server name Zack. Always makes sure we are happy with the food and drinks. Always smiling. He has been our server many times and we just appreciate him every time.

Might have to come back tomorrow.

The hamburger was raw!!! Had to wait awhile for a new one to be made. Your curbside order is the worst. Never have I heard of someone charging a package fee. Your gift card are deceiving. When you buy them they tell you ,you can use them all together. When I try to use them they said only one at a time. We spent over $135 .

We have try this place a few times, our last visit we noticed the food wasnt as good as usual, but we wanted to give another try. After 30 minutes of wait to get a table, we order our dinner; 40 minutes later still no food. We walked away. Never again Shells!!!

Shells Seafood Restaurant Brandon FL. At one time it was a good place to eat seafood, now very very disappointing can not understand 4.5 star average not from my experience N E clam chowder salty sent it back , rice way under cooked al dente is for pasta not rice sent it back. Cioppino (seafood stew) salty and rice way under cooked sent it back. Even after they tried to remedy the rice issue still under cooked picked out some of the seafood but to salty. By this time my wife and I gave up. With all the issues sending back food and expressing these problems to the waitress not once did the management approach us to express concern or try to rectify our legitimate complaints. I rate Shells Seafood Restaurant Brandon 5. The waitress did her best the food was so bad there was nothing much can be done. At best very very poor run of the Mill fast food dive. McDonalds has better food. Yours truly. Majorly Disappointed.

Shells is my favorite place in Brandon, FL the food is always good, the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The wait staff is always friendly, cheerful and accommodating. So I do recommend Shells for a nice dinner and drinks to enjoy yourself.

Such a good experience. The service was top notch, the food was delicious. This was my big dinner on my vacation and I was so happy with the experience. Ill be back one day.

The manager needs coaching. I asked to speak with her about a catering order that I wanted to place and she would NOT speak with me. She stood around the corner telling the server what to say to me. So unprofessional!! Michelle Johnson is lacking management and people skills. I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Peel and eat shrimps are great, they brought back the large ones, we loved it. AND shout out to Craig the bartender, hes a one man show, takes care of the bar plus incoming orders from the restaurant, hes a wizard for sure.. Great service and hes the reason we keep coming back too .

Finally found my spot for clam chowder!! We ordered calamari, chowder, snapper with the Felix, and jambalaya. The only thing that wasnt amazing was the jambalaya-it was decent but not something wed order again. The Felix add on was everything. Chowder is the best Ive had in the Tampa area and the service was fantastic! I wish I could remember our servers name, but it was the guy with dark hair and glasses. Well definitely be back.

Second time here and the Ultimate combo is delicious. The salmon was a good size and tasty(threw the Felix topper on top and its heavenly). Crabcake(so tasty) and shrimp make it the ideal seafood platter. Highlight was the bowl of clam chowder. Tons of chowder unlike watered down versions. Could eat it daily. Service(take-out) was quick and friendly.

We celebrated a birthday last night. Annabelle was our server. She never stopped smiling. She was so sweet and helpful. Serving 11 people is not easy, but she made sure everything came out at one time. Drink orders were very timely. We all went home smiling. Thanks, Annabelle.

Excellent food, service, and prices. We had calamari appetizer, and fried shrimp and fried Trio dinners. All were served hot; all were delicious. Very well managed staff. Definitely worth visiting.

Me and my family celebrated my son 16 birthday. The host was pleasant and greeted everyone who was a guest to the dinner. Our waiter was so amazing. He was genuine, fast with and accurate with our food order. Overall, I pray he felt the appreciation for being so kind to me and my family.

We were promptly greeted on entry to the restaurant. The wait was approximately 5 minutes. The waiter was congenial and engaging. The food was delicious, and service was excellent.

Im sure Ive eaten at a Shells before, but Ive never heard anything as amazingly memorable as I did here! The pasta I ordered had all sorts of seafood in it, and there was SO MUCH - enough for EVERY bite and more!

My husband and I had a phenomenal meal and great customer service at Shells Seafood Brandon. Sam, our chef, prepared the Salmon Felix to perfection. The food was so delicious that we told Anthony our wonderful and attentive server that we wanted him to compliment the chef and he asked us if we would like to thank her ourselves so we did. It was a pleasure meeting Sam and complimenting her on our meals. I would highly recommend Shells Brandon for great seafood and service.
