Excellent tangerine peach sangria! The Tom Kha Gai soup was delicious although prefer a few pieces of tomato but not all places make it that way. The red curry was good. We had a salmon roll and the salmon tasted a bit off. They could use some lessons on food running. We got everything pretty much at the same time. Should have been soup, sushi roll and then the entree. Makes for a more balanced dining experience. All in all though nothing major. Definitely will visit there again.

No lunch to go unless you buy off the dinner menu and really poor service by the girl that helped us. Wife liked the curry but Said it was no panang curry. Said it was full of peanuts and zucchini.

The food was excellent and the service was great. I will go back.

We come here often for work lunches - always spot on. Yummy food, prompt staff, and pretty ambiance.

Met with an ex-colleague for lunch on a weekday. Speedy service. Soup included in every lunch makes it a more complete package.

We made our first stop today and guarantee it will not be our last. We live almost 50 miles away and its definitely worth the drive.

The food is authentic and delicious. The spices are just right. I felt like I was in heaven while eating my meal. The atmosphere was enjoyable. The service was attentive and welcoming.

Update 20Sep2024 - Portions for everything has gone down significantly for appetizers and entrees.Prices are higher as well. The food is still good but the value is significantly lower. Service is still great but were going to look around for other options going forward. Original review: We love this place. The taste is authentic, has timely service, and a quant atmosphere. I come in hungry and leave with leftovers most visits.

Service was good but the pad thai was soo saucy and the edamame had no salt and tasted like they had been headed up 2 or 3 times. Oh and the air was broken when we were there.

While I would normally say I love this place this time was a different story, I asked if they could make fried rice without soy and if I could have it on the side and they said they can do that and they had soy packets. So we ordered the dish and the person I came with is allergic to soy. The dish ended up having soy and the waiter said they put gluten free soy when I specifically said no soy sauce and on the side and Ill use soy for my side of the rice(the packets). Lucky she isnt highly allergic to soy but still had an allergic reaction, causing her throat to be slightly itchy and bumps on her tongue. If she was highly allergic this couldve been a completely different story. I love this place and the food is always 5 stars but if there is a misunderstanding or allergies, be sure you completely understand your customer before you serve them something they CANNOT EAT.

Want a reasonably priced lunch during the week that is not fast food. Have some of their thai food and enjoy. Friendly staff and great selections. One thing they can improve on is bringing back their spice trays.

I love this place. Its a nice vibe and the classical music versions of pop music are a nice touch per musical ambience. Food is great but i do find one spring roll to be on the small portion side. Service has always been great - i have only gone for lunch and its been speedy. Nice staff, delicious dishes.

Absolutely delicious food!! The Panag Curry is the best Ive ever had. We went twice within a month and both times we were soo happy with our meals. The prices are great and the servers were very happy & kind both times. Highly recommend!

My mom, son, daughter-in-law and I enjoyed a phenomenal dinner last night. Food was excellent as always, but after a very stressful day for all of us, it was the very relaxing atmosphere and the superb service provided by Nancy that made all the difference. She took the time to engage us in a nice conversation. She was so kind and polite and went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. She also catered to my son and made sure his meal was prepared a special way without sauce to support his regimen. It was refreshing and just what we needed after a day like yesterday. We will definitely be back soon!

what a amazing thai restaurant. I was looking for a place to replace lemon grass. I think i found it. Lunch specials are good and filling. Thai tea came in a large cup, which never happens. Really great service.

The food was delicious.

Food is good, but portions are very small. I asked if the portions were typically that small and the server said it was a lunch portion. It may be a lunch portion for a small child but they need to serve just a little bit more. I overheard a customer near me make a similar complaint about there only being 2 small pieces of tofu in her pad Thai so I decided to review. I should have take a picture but i was so unimpressed about the portion that I didn t take a pic. I am just leaving this place and am still hungry. Going elsewhere

Ploy Thai is a beautiful restaurant with attentive service and delicious food. The Crispy Duck Panang was the best weve had anywhere in Tampa Bay and the Pad Thai was delicious and a huge portion! Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. This is a great place for a casual dinner out with friends or a date night.

It s was our first time here! It was very good! The sauce in my Emerald Shrimp was delicious and the sate appetizer was delicious!

Had Very nice Thai food after such a long time, We have been searching for this kind of delicious Thai food and finally found.

Ordered shrimp red curry. It was delicious, folks are nice as well. I would go back again

Just paid 34 bucks for a few pieces of dried out duck meat and a very small portion of calamari. The few pieces of ducks ($20) came on top a ginormous bed of noodles and some veggies. At $10 for the calamari apetizer, also dry and was only a few pieces. Ive heard of restaurants who do this to carryout customers... My first AND last visit.

I have worked in this area for almost 2 years and never stopped in here! BIG OOPS because this was the most delicious Pad Thai and Crab Rangoon I ve ever had. I will definitely be coming back. And the restaurant was so beautiful inside too!!

So Ive eaten here several times over the last week. The Rama chicken (coconut peanut sauce) is incredible. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for thai food. Service is also outstanding. So, here s the thing, this place is hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I ve been to. I delightfully enjoyed the Beef Pad Thai. The customer service was also 5star treatment. After more than 2 decades of eating Thai food this is in my top 10! Not to mention the tasteful Thai decor that makes you feel like you re in Bangkok. If you love Thai food or you re just a novice this is a super treat for your palate. Highly recommended.

The food was ok; I came here for sushi as my wife loves Thai. Im not the biggest fan. The green curry was good, and the tofu was well made. I wanted my sushi, and to my disappointment, they no longer serve it. Maybe time for a name change some search engines say Thai and sushi just like the menu.

Visiting from out of town and happened upon Poy Thai. Best Thai food Ive had in a long time. Highly recommend the Spicy Noodle dish in particular. (I went back tonight to get some to have on the plane tomorrow.) Also the ambiance is superb. Decorated to the hilt with beautiful Thai carvings and other art. You wont be disappointed! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. Parking: Parking was plentiful and easy.

I went in with large group of people. They got my order wrong and refused to replace it saying it would take too long to prepare it again. I had ordered Green curry but they brought the Ginger curry. On top of that, the Ginger curry tasted horrible and food potion was small.

Amazing. I picked up my take-out over an hour late and they remade it for me. Thank you so much to the staff here! And of course the food is amazing. This is the first and last place I ve had pad Thai. Delicious.

This was our first, and our last trip to Ploy Thai. When we arrived there werent many customers and we waited too long to be greeted, way too long for a server to visit our table, and were on the brink of walking out because it was nearly 50 minutes before our food came out after ordering.

NO LONGER HAVE THE SUSHI ;-( So, I originally went in for sushi and was told they no longer have it. I still decided to stay and try it out. Had the lychee iced Thai tea, Thai crab rolls and shrimp pad z ew. All dishes were good and the staff was friendly and attentive. No complaints from me. Nice little afternoon lunch.

I had the eggplant and scallops. It was delicious. The server brought me a variety of different chilis and spicy oils to try on the dish and the rice. It was sooo good. One that I put on the rice (cant remember the name) was far too hot for me, lol. I loved the decor and ambiance of the place. Certainly give it a try if youre in the area

Had massaman curry and pad Thai and thought it was very average. None of the curries are vegan friendly as they have fish sauce in them. One of my friends has a shellfish allergy and couldnt get any curries either. The service was great but wont be returning here for food again! Vegetarian options: All curries have fish sauce in them and not vegan friendly

I absolutely LOVE this place. I have been eating here for about 10 years now and, while they have gone through some changes, the quality has always stayed the same. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is beautiful and tranquil, and the food is always served hot and delicious. The Rama garden and green curry with fried eggplant are MUST HAVES.

I have now been here twice but I should go more often. The restaurant itself is very cute, the service is great, and food is ever better. The main room is much nicer than the back, so if you have a party of 2-4 enjoy the area in the main dining room. Thai tea is a must, and the lychee tea is very refreshing as well! Bathroom is really clean and smells good, that s always a plus.

Holy smokes! What an absolute gem! The place is in a little unassuming strip mall but the inside is absolutely gorgeous. Its a beautiful date night spot with the most authentic Thai dishes Ive found since moving to Florida. The staff are super friendly and personable. All of our dishes were absolutely perfect. Flavorful and balanced and creative. The jasmine milk tea is not to be missed, and the crispy duck has the CRUNCH you wont want to pass up.

Best green curry Ive ever had. The Po Tak is amazing and the service is great as well. Just got to Tampa a couple weeks ago and Ive been here 4 times already.

We love this place and when compared to other Thai restaurants in the area they are the most authentic. Their food is fantastic and does not taste like its been modified for the American pallet. They offer different levels of spiciness but overall their food quality is amazing. In addition the service is fantastic. If you like Thai food this is a must if you live within 15-20 minutes from this place. The atmosphere is also very authentic and pleasing with a high end touch with its design and cultural relevance. Its like taking you to Thailand.

I love Ploy Thai. My Thai fried rice was on point, and I had enough for leftovers. This is my quick little spot for a quick lunch with my husband.

Amazing! Had the spicy crispy duck ramen, Thai tea and came with chicken/rice soup and egg roll appetizer. All for lunch. Atmosphere was perfect, cleaned and well maintained. Staff was friendly. Well definitely come back. Damn right I came back on 10-14-23 for dinner. Had the ginger duck($27) and was just as amazing as the crispy duck I previously reviewed. So much food that I had to take a box. Love this place.

Excellent Thai food and lovely ambiance. Service was friendly and very accommodating and welcoming. Flavor was delicious. The coconut soup (Tom Kha) was just the right amount of savory and had just the right amount of ingredients within. Would recommend.

Nice place in Brandon for a Thai restaurant. Most of the dish that we had were very good but fried red snapper that we ordered weren t very good. Fish itself didn t have any flavor. Wished they marinated the fish at least for few hours. Other than that we enjoyed there. Staff were very nice and knowledgeable about their menu.

I have been going here for years, and it NEVER disappoints. I have moved all around Tampa and still will drive to Ploy Thai for Thai food because it is hands down the best. Just enjoyed the Love box for lunch and it was amazing. Other favorites are tom kah gai and their Thai tea and crispy duck yummmmm.

Been going there since 2000..And I tried a lot of the food and loved it...and even when it go pricey. I still came back..cause I loved it. But know the food has gotten so bad and still so pricey a d the quality has went down hill bad and its sad.....And I so Love Thi Food.... Duck penang was my favorite dish..

The waitress did not know what ingredients were in the food. The Thai noodles tasted funky, and they do not have coconut milk or oat milk to substitute for half an half in the thai tea.

Ploy has fresh food! The flavors are out of this world. The portions are generous. The atmosphere is so peaceful and elegant. Prices are spot on! Sushi is choice and there are many options to choose from if you love rolls you are missing out! The rice is served in a heart shape for extra added attraction and a nice touch. Dessert is a must. Love the Thai iced tea. The meat they use is grade A. Come visit you will want to come back. Great, fast and friend service as well.

best Pad Thai Ive ever had.

First time there and will not be our last. We had pad thai, satay, and garlic beef and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The service was excellent as well, and everyone we encountered was happy and smiling and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Great experience.

The Pad Thai tasted terrible it had a red color to it very unusual taste that never experienced at any other Thai restaurant. The vegetable fried rice was very bland with no flavor. The waitress was very slow coming to the table at times. Better off going to PF changs for a much better meal than here would highly not recommend this restaurant.

We stopped here for dinner after a long absence (I m no longer working in Brandon) the food was good not great and all the lunchtime charm of servers in traditional garb was absent. Still a recommended place for Thai but not a rave.

Me and my wife have been looking for a good Thai place around the area and this ones a good option for anyone looking for a usual spot. The inside decor is beautiful and fun to look around at the different decorations and fixtures. The food flavor was rich, but I have a minor complaint that my personal food temperature was a little cold and my wifes noodles were a little over cooked, but honestly the meal was delicious and the presentation was nice. The atmosphere was quiet and casual playing a few songs on repeat. Would come back and try another dish.

As a retired military family, one of our favorite things to do when moving to a new place is finding a Thai Restaurant. Ploy Thai was one of our first finds in Brandon FL. It has such a beautiful atmosphere depicting Thai environments and luxury at its finest. Even the bathroom was so serene and the chairs are soft and inviting. The girls who work there provide really pleasant service and are quick to make you feel welcome. And then theres the food ... the most delicious Thai food, I cant describe it, you just have to go eat there!

The decor is absolutely spectacular. Its in a strip mall and you wouldnt think you would be transformed before you walk in. When you open the door its so authentic. My first thought was if the food is half as good as this place looks and feels itll be a homerun. Food was absolutely wonderful and very reasonably priced. I could eat there three days a week with no problem.

The yellow curry was too salty, the potatoes tasted funky, the onions were hard, wasnt enough rice on the side, and the vegetables in the fried spring rolls were either overcooked or drenched in oil too long because they were too mushy to be enjoyed. Overall I wasnt pleased with the flavors but others seem to love this place so try it for yourself Id say.

Ploy Thai was recommended by a friend. Ive tried other Thai restaurants in the area and come back to Ploy Thai. Their Panang Curry, fresh spring rolls, soups are unbeatable. Love the sushi. Ive tasted other entries that my husband orders, and the food is delicious. The interior is beautifully decorated. The staff is great. They continue to check on you to make sure everything is alright and if we need anything else. We also order take out a lot from them when were on our way home. 5 star!

Giving 2 stars because food was good but service was subpar. First time coming to this restaurant. Server was slow to come over with menus. We came for lunch and have never been to Ploy Thai before. Lunch special advertises 2 rolls, appetizer and soup for $12 (see pic). Sounded like a great deal. When we asked what the appetizer was the waitress says they do not offer any appetizers with the lunch special (even though it s advertised?). And in regard to choice of soup, you can t have miso soup (which is typically served with sushi) only options are chicken with rice or vegetable soup. Food took a while for food to come out, although restaurant was merely empty. Not the best first impression of this establishment. Probably will not return.
