Nothing taste better but it did dull the the noise of time and its relentless drumming us close to the abyss..

First time coming here. It is nice that they offer a buffet with some food while you wait, and the dessert is at the buffet (way better options than August 8). Was not too busy and the AYCE was well priced with great options. Service wasn t bad but could ve just been a tad better (being attentive to napkins, needing beverages - nothing crazy). We would come back! I recommend that they ask people if they ve dined there before, we were confused with how they do things because we normally go to August 8!

I usually really like this place but I went recently and ordered a pink lady roll which has smoked salmon on it. They served me smoked salmon that was green. Meaning it went bad. Clearly the staff dont know what rotten smoked salmon looks like but the roll was topped with green smoked salmon. The server didnt care and clearly neither did the chef. Paid and left after that. Wont return again considering they could clearly see that the salmon was green and still gave it to us.

The service here is amazing. Sat down and ate, the food was amazing and the service was super quick. The waiter was always checking on us making sure everything was all good. The staff here is super friendly and made jokes the entire time. Would highly recommend coming here for a visit with friends and family.

Ordered a $21.99 Bento box and I couldnt believe how much food I got! The sushi was delicious and served on its own plate because they needed the Bento plate for everything else. I was full and so happy. Also, the all you can drink fruit iced tea was a delight. Will go again if we are in the area.

I really enjoyed my visit to hi sushi. The price was great and the food was good. Overall a really great experience. They are busy, so the restaurant is noisy, but otherwise loved it.

Place is nasty everything was old and at least from lunch ordered chicken wings and made them make them fresh and was still greasy and soggy would not recommend. Ordered pad tai first thing and had to ask for it multiple times just for it to arrive and have it taste like dog wash and not fresh. Way over priced and not worth what you are getting better off paying less than half and getting a pizza food was garbage 80$ meal left disappointed nothing could make up for the taste of their food bland over cooked dry or soggy ate less than half of what we ordered due to taste

Unfortunately, not a pleasant experience. I will say though, the server was very kind and attentive but that does not make up for the terrible quality of food. Boyfriend and I just recently moved to brantford and have already been to Joy sushi a few times (definitely sticking to that going forward). Wanted to switch it up and regret it huge. We arrived at 530pm which is a normal dinner time. The buffet had HARDLY anything left and the bit they did have was hard and chewy. All stale most likely from lunch. The server took our plates away from not even eating. The AYCE food was another disappointment. I order veggie pad Thai, it was the very first thing on the menu ordered! My boyfriend asked 3 times if it was coming and after 50 minutes of us being there, it finally arrived and assuming it would have been fresh, the noodles tasted much different as if it had been sitting there and re heated. Half the food we got was taken away because it lacked major quality. Everything seemed old. Dinner for 2 was $85 with tax shameful at this place.

Was in Brantford visiting and came to this restaurant based on the 4+ star review. After dining here, I can only assume everyone with the positive comments has never been to a decent Japanese/sushi restaurant. The service was pretty terrible, the food was bland and not at all memorable, and the restaurant itself was borderline dirty/ a mess. Price was decent off the a la carte menu, but I would still say not worth it. Definitely would not go back, a waste of a night out really

I ve dined in and done take-out from this location multiple times and it is always delicious. I am a big fan of the All-Day Maki Special for Take Out! I will continuously be returning.

Recently visited this place and I order vegetable tray I dont know the name of server but he really help me in selecting food in my budget.

Nothing quite says Come eat our raw fish like the crackle of a handheld bug zapper being used to help control the flies. Maki were just marginally better than supermarket sushi.

We had a fantastic time here! A group of six of us came on a Sunday evening, The staff was friendly and very prompt with us, all of our food arrived within 5 to 10 minutes of ordering it. The cute little robot that serves food is delightful. Everything tasted fresh, and we enjoyed the music

What a neat restaurant one stop shop it has a small Chinese food buffet , all you can eat sushi for the one price which was nice . One of the neat attractions is the robot that delivers the sushi to the table. Definitely a fun place for the kids to see. Food was acceptable but for me the staff really went above and beyond making sure we were taken care of and has everything we needed.

Your fish tank is absolutely disgusting. It s obvious you do not maintain it or know how to properly care for goldfish, or you wouldnt have that many of that size in that tank. I seriously suggest rehoming those fish, and stocking it with something more appropriate; or better yet get rid of that tank altogether if you dont know how to maintain it or wont hire someone to do so!!! I will be dropping in within the next couple weeks to give you guys a careguide & offer to clean your tank for free to show you how to do it properly. If you continue not to maintain it, it shows the moral and character of your employees/owner. If yall cant dedicate an hour once a week to cleaning that tank , or even do your research on proper husbandry of fish.. i dont wanna know how poorly clean you keep that kitchen!

Great Lunch Specials on Uber Eats. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Brantford.

Literal worst service ever. Good was good but the server was atrocious! Handed us an iPad and walked away meaning he didn t have to take our order (not the problem), the robot cat was the one that brought us our food, and someone else brought us our drinks meaning the only thing this guy had to do was cash us out and he butchered it. The restaurant was not busy at all, we called for the server 5 times and it took him 15 minutes to even come to the table, two trips back to the table to even understand what drinks were on which bill, another 20 minutes for him to even print off the bills (we could see him the whole time), and even more time to get the change. We literally saw him just walking around looking up and the ceiling like and idiot, not busy at all. And since we were a party of 6 it meant that tip was included in the bill so we couldn t even not tip if we wanted to (which I never do considering I am a server myself but was deserved in this case)

We had takeout the chicken balls were wicked awesome and the Japanese noodles were a great change from Chinese noodles.

My friend and I went, it was my first time here. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food was good, pretty standard price for AYCE. Even though we came in as lunch was finishing and dinner was starting, the wait times were never long. Everything was delicious. I would definitely return. The staff were very pleasant especially the two gentlemen serving today. Both were very friendly and came by asking how things were and filled our waters (wish I got their names but it was today around 4pm, hope management sees this and gives them the praise they deserve!) :) will be for sure coming back and recommending this place to others!

Food was average at best. We went to use the restroom (we were there for less than 10min) after we paid our bill and ate our food and for some reason the crazy manager came banging on the door basically demanding us to leave. The place closes at 10 and it was 9:30, we already paid the bill. What s the issue?! The servers were very nice though, not sure why the manager was being very rude.

Great sushi and service here! I dined in last night and had a great experience. The food tasted very fresh. I also order from this restaurant often and Ive never had a bad experience. Lunch and dinner is also cheaper here compared to sushi places in other cities. Lots of non-sushi options too if you dont like fish.

My SIL has been a few times. This was my first. Staff friendly and helpful. We had all you can eat lunch. Some items are on the buffet. All were barely warm,if that. Food all tasty but actually cool. Other items brought to table are hot in comparison. Some things good portions, some like milk bread and cheese croutons very tiny and skimpy even when you ask for more.

One of the worse places I have ever been. Food was bad. Service was bad. Buffet was bad. Simply bad bad bad .

Came for lunch. Ordered all you can sat. We had meat ingredients taken out of sushi plates. Water spilled by waiter all over our table and no attempt to try to clean it. We did all the wiping / cleaning ourselves. Got a bit of desert after from the buffet, no good either. Will never come back. Would not recommend to anyone.

This place has the best sushi in brantford. Number 1 when it comes to sushi. Tastes great and fresh. I have been many times and will take friends too. They offer A la carte which is great if you dont feel like doing AUCA.

Best Sushi restaurant in Brantford. Their AYCE has awesome selection and their sashimi are fresh. They are pretty on par with AYCE I have tried in Toronto and may even been better than selece few.

Seaweed in the rolls was soggy and the salmon in the rolls was oddly stringy and difficult to chew.

It is very a decent place for a small town like Brantford. The ayce menu is very similar to many such restaurants in GTA and the food quality is on par. Free pop refills and a waiter robot - check. They could expand their soup selection though.

Best sushi

Food is bad. Service is bad, We just want to forget the whole experience. The table where soups, salads and ice cream, etc, are old, reheated or leftovers from previous days. Maybe some people like this restaurant. I suggest you explore other places.

I like that this AYCE sushi restaurant also has the option for al la carte - we ordered a couple rolls with no complaints. The red dynamite roll was very yummy! What got me to leave a good review was the service. We were greatly so warmly by everyone, the staff were all so friendly & helpful. Our water was consistently refilled. I also got their deluxe milk tea & the amount of topping is awesome!

Theres a little robot that brings you your food, need I say more?? The only downside is the music that plays over the speakers is rather loud in my experience and is a rather..... interesting playlist. It features some of the greatest hits from like 5-10 years ago. But thats probably just a me thing. Overall, the food is amazing and I think about it often and wonder when my husband and I can come back. Im a huge salmon enjoyed and they always knock the food out of the park. Also, I love the robot so much and want it to know that I appreciate how splendid it is.

We ordered a variety of dishes: spring rolls, cheese wontons, teriyaki chicken rolls, Japanese rice, and Thai curry chicken. Everything was delicious, and the servers are very attentive.

This place used to be Sushi 8 and got my 5 stars. Now it s Hi Sushi and I don t know what s changed but their food was nothing at all like Sushi 8. Definitely won t be going there again. I m actually disappointed that they changed the sign and changed a ton on the menus and get to keep all the old Google reviews from when it was Sushi 8. 2 stars is generous.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic dining experience at Hi Sushi Brantford, a charming sushi spot. The cozy atmosphere, combined with tasteful decor, set the stage for a delightful meal. The menu featured a variety of sushi dishes, each bursting with flavor and expertly presented.

My original review and rating was for Sushi 8. Hi Sushi has now opened at the same location for a year or so now. I dont think the reviews for Sushi 8 should be allowed to be rolled over to Hi Sushi.

This was my first time visiting Hi Sushi, and I will definitely go back! The service was terrific. The sushi was beautifully presented. My friend and I both ordered #135, the bento box with sushi and sashimi. It was a huge meal that filled our booth table! The sushi and sashimi portions were abundant, and it also came with an assortment of light, crunchy tempura shrimp, and veges. They have a cool robot that brings orders out, and it plays a little tune and smiles. It was a neat touch. After our meal, we asked for coffee. To our surprise and delight, we received nespresso! My friend ordered Cream Brule. It came in a small ramekin, and it was delicious. We spoke with the manager before we left and complimented her on a truly lovey experience! She was so gracious! This is our new favourite sushi restaurant! Next time, we will try all you can eat. They explained that sushi and sashimi is ordered using a tablet, and the buffet has salads, cold items and hot items too, plus 5 types of ice cream! I walked by their hot and cold buffet after lunch, and it was expansive and looked awesome! Im looking forward to our next visit! Thanks!!

The service we received from our waiter in training was immaculate. The food was sub par per say as sometimes you have a required taste. The hot dishes werent that great in comparison to other Chinese food. Overall a nice experience.

The best sushi restaurant in Brantford. All sushi tasted fresh and delicious. Staff was so kind and accommodating. Atmosphere was cozy and family friendly. Had to snap a pic of my fav dishes they have (the baked salmon, salmon, and eel sushi) but there are so many yummy options! Kid-friendliness: We were there early afternoon for dinner and there were multiple tables with kids, ours included. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming. Many options of food for kids. Definitely somewhere I feel comfortable dining as a family.

Over all wasn t a bad experience, had a server Hannah-Lee, who was very nice and made sure to keep my girlfriend and I s table clear of plates, saw the guy making the sushi which was really cool. One of the bigger selections of food from a all you can eat sushi place. My only issue is I personally didn t enjoy the rice flavour that much o. Amazing deserts except the tiramisu portion size is a bit underwhelming literally a bite. But that s the best thing about all you can eat you can just get more. So over all id come back again in the future if I m looking for a huge selection of sushi.

Great place and now replaces Blessings in my Asian quality goto. Udon noodles, cucumber/avocado role, general tao chicken. So many dishes that Blessings used to make well and were my favourites. The staff very friendly and made me feel good, something that other place in their rude arrogance never did. Hurray great Asian is back! Vegetarian options: Many of the dishes have a vegetarian option. All the ones I tried were top notch.

I must say I have tried a lot of sushi places and Hi sushi is one of the best! I am never disappointed! The service is great and the food is excellent. I m always greeted when I walk in and always said bye to when I leave! It s such a wonderful experience. Lunch is great for the price and dinner is amazing for the price! This is my go to place in brantford!

The past 2 times I tried to go at about 9:15, I am told they are already closed and they can t help me. Why say you re open until 10 if you re not actually open until 10?

Ill put it straight out there I didnt appreciate being forced to use instore atm cause they only accept cash or credit no debit and last time I checked a buffet is one price to experience the variety of food they charge extra if you dont so happen to like an item mind ya the robot thing was interesting but I personally prefer human interactions if Im going to be forced to add a Tip

Too many red flags to list. We didnt get sick, but the quality is not good. Sushi rolls tasted cheap; smoked salmon was used too much in my opinion. Dessert and buffet had food sitting out for a long time. Servers were very nice.

I ordered sushi for the first time and I m glad that Hi sushi didn t disappoint me. Since I m a vegetarian so I ordered avocado & cucumber rolls and sweet potato tempura rolls along with the avocado salad which could have been better if they add more items to it. But overall its a nice place even for vegetarians since we dont get a lot of vegetarian options in other cuisines except Indian. I like it and will try Ramen with vegetables next time.

Ordered a katsu meal on skip, the katsu was way over cooked, the miso was flavourless, like water had been added to make it go farther. The house salad was a few pieces of lettuce and one slice of cucumber with again the dressing tasting like a watered down version of French salad dressing. I also ordered the enoki beef, the beef was so tough it was like eating a piece of leather.. very disappointing meal. Had the potential to be great, but cutting corners and lack of execution ruined it.

Our family was tortured with super low grade meat and seafood which had fermented in the freezer with disgusting smell. It was locked in with all you can eat, and we ask politely to leave but we had to pay for everything just after soup , water, 2 appetizers and sashimi bowl came out. It s was feeling scary once we try just one piece of sashimi and meat. There was no asking about feeling ok or no sorry, just want to charge. We paid 124$ and need to go other restaurants to feed our kids. Hey, owner, we are not mean persons, if someone asking about food condition, and say can t eat, you have to listen very carefully. It can be related to bigger problems. Also please do not sell the food even you and your family can not eat. It was honestly horrible conditions. We are all you can eat sushi lover during 14 years in Canada, and this is the only one memorable and my first time writing about sushi on google.

Had the pleasure of dinning here for a friends birthday. I personally am not a big fan of sushi but they had plenty of other options for me to enjoy. It was also buffet as well as table service. Food was delicious and served hot. Staff were super nice a great experience. I recommend anyone thats hungry to give it a try you wont be disappointed.

Had an incredible dining experience at Hisushi! The quality of the ingredients really shines through in every dish. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Each piece was a burst of flavor. The sashimi practically melted in my mouth, and I couldnt get enough of it. I loved the unique flavor pairings and the perfect balance of textures in their rolls. And when it comes to bubble tea, Hisushi knows how to make it just right. It was the ideal refreshing and sweet accompaniment to my meal. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming, and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable. This place is a must-visit for sushi lovers!

Had a good time at the All u can eat sushi, personally find it worth it. Sushi came quick (Ordered like a total of 77 items... and arrived quickly which was amazing, though the resto wasnt busy) On a side note, felt bad for ordering 1 fried beef dumpling... i saw the picture and thought i was going to be like 6 at once(i dont think there was a 1pc next to it... hence why i thought it was like the picture), sooo... really sorry but overall, great experience and will definitely come again for another occasion :)

Good bubble tea!

I didnt try the all-you-can-eat option, but the tempura and rolls I had were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive.

Food was surprisingly good for a buffet. The sashimi was pretty fresh. Good customer service. The only thing I would say is that the sushi rice is pretty hard, probably been sitting.

My Lychee Slush was made really fast and the flavour was amazing. I have never tasted such great bubble tea before!! The toppings were yummy and it did not overpower the slush. The tapioca was so soft and chewy. The drink was so refreshing and I loved it!! Will definitely be coming back

Great food! Great atmosphere. The additional of hot/cold buffet along with ordering on the go makes for a full service place to enjoy a meal. Only concern is the occasional language barrier, ordering cocktails and spirits can prove difficult.

So Happy my son told me about Hi Sushi ... Alex our sever was hands down best ever!!! Food was fresh and delicious I have been back 2xs with different people.... All were impressed with staff food and Price!

We were in town for a hockey game, and honestly the service was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly, our rolls came out fast and they were always there refilling our waters. It includes a small Buffett which is neat. I did find paying an adult price for my son who is 11 a bit much as he barely eats a quarter of what most adults do, but honestly I would come back again!

The staff are so corteous and nice. They are very attentive as well. My kids saw the robot server and were so delighted. Food is very good. Sushi are fresh and came real fast.

Had lunch with a friend here yesterday afternoon and we have both spent our entire day today violently ill. Our lunch was both of our only meals of the day and we havent dined anywhere else together in the past couple of days so unfortunately this is the only explanation for us both being this sick at the same time. Unfortunately everything we ordered was delicious but definitely not worth coming back and getting sick over again. Despite it being pretty slow at the time we were there, it took absolutely forever for us to get our bill even though we called our waitress multiple times. Ive been here in the past and had a really great experience but unfortunately this will be my last time spending money here.

This location of Hi Sushi is really hit or miss with their food. Some items were quite good, like the things on the Pringles chips, as well as the roll with the cucumber in place of the nori. Other things werent so great. The buffet table was really low quality and they could honestly do without it and focus on making better sushi instead. Hi Sushi in Brantford is a real downgrade from Hi Sushi in Cambridge. At least the servers were really good! Update: Went back here to give it another go, and it was much better! Everything I had tasted pretty good, and service was great too!
