They were great the first time. but there was a problem the second time and when we brought it to their attention they did nothing about it. Sad.

Sweet and sour pork was ok Got extra fried rice that tasted absolutely terrible... We could not eat it Did phone them to let them know Time to find another Chinese takeout

Everything was devine. I was looking for somewhere quick and cheap to eat in between my baseball games and boy was I happy I stopped here. I ordered the Lo Main and was it ever delicious it was a huge portion but i finished it all. For the service the staff were so nice and clear. I knew that they enjoyed being there. Lastly the price. You just cannot beat it under $20 for the portion i had is un heard of. Thank you Jumbo Dragon for this experience.

Been going here for years. But today I ordered lunch specials, and got home to realize they stapled the receipt to someone else s order. After this mess up and me wasting an hour driving back and forth they would not help me in any way to make this right. I m not asking for free food, but As a business owner myself I try to retain customers by righting the wrongs I make. And there was not even a sorry. Plenty of other good Chinese spots in town!

Best place in Brantford, Ontario to buy chinese food. I find it easier on the stomach than most places and they now even have debit on delivary! My favorite things to order are the combo platters. I usually get a C6 , C7, or C11. They are always cool with me substituting my rice for something else and letting me substitute my egg roll for a spring roll or pop for a very small charge. Staff is so polite and delivery is most times there about 15-30 min before the estimated time if they are not to busy. Love you guys and thank you for coming to brantford! EDIT: 2024 Might want to edit your website with corrects hours as you are no longer open on Wednesdays. Also they have not been as generous as they used to be with sauces on sweet n sour chicken and almond suey guy in combo platters you dont get enough sauce to cover all the mentioned items leaving food dry. Still best Chinese in brantford though. Only place that doesnt upset my very sensitive stomach. EDIT 2024 May: I understand when busy you cannot make substitutions on meals. But when a customer says okay never mind thank you cancel order please dont just hang up on your loyal customers. For the young lady that hung up in me today, that was very rude.

Best Chinese Food in Brantford. My husband is picky, Cantonese noodles with no vegetables or onions, sweet and sour chicken no sweet and sour sauce. I ordered 2 egg rolls for myself. (used to get a special dish on top of the egg rolls before inflation/taxes hit us all ) We have been getting our Chinese Food from Jumbo Dragon ever since they opened. Food is good but nobody ever answers phone for pickup

the lunch special is honestly great. for the amount of food you get its VERY worth the price and you wont be waiting for more than 5-10 minutes for your order. The food isnt super standout, but its very typical to what youd get at any other chinese restaurant, it makes for a great and quick lunch, and youll likely have leftovers because the portion is pretty huge IMO.

PSA to prevent you from disappointment on receiving the wrong order. Their item descriptions need editing, specifically on the combination platters based on my experience today. I ordered C2: Egg Roll, Sweet and sour chicken, CHICKEN CHOW MEIN, and Chicken Fried Rice. As you can see from the photo, there is no sight of noodles. Instead, there is CHICKEN CHOP SUEY. I ordered through skip the dishes. So naturally, I was trusting the description written under each item on the APP + their website. Had I known it was going to be chicken chop suey, I wouldn t have ordered this. I called the restaurant asking for them to confirm what the item was supposed to be and they said chicken chop suey I let them know that the description on their website and skip the dish app was incorrect and asked that they look into it and fix it since it caused some confusion once I received the order. The lady at the restaurant said only C1 had noodles, and C2 doesn t she didn t address/seem to understand my concern about the description reading wrong. I asked if I could get it replaced or money back and she said I would have to go back and pay the extra $2 if I wanted noodles. She also said she couldn t do a refund or deliver to me since I ordered though Skip the Dishes. Suggestion: just call and ask about items as you order, don t trust what you read.

We ordered takeout and it was a lemon chicken and chicken fried rice . The lemon chicken sauce tasted like pure malt vinegar and the chicken and rice had barely any chicken . Rice was also pretty hard not soft Not impressed we spent $30.00 also wont be going back

My husband picked up a couple of orders before we went home from work. When we got home I opened my order and I realized that my sweet and sour pork did not have any red sauce. I called the store and explained the problem with my order with the girl on the phone. She put me on hold and a few moments later another girl.came to the phone. She explained that she was the one who did rhw order and my order most definitely had sauce on it. She said she knew she put it on there. She continued arguing saying that there was sauce and her manager was checking cameras to prove that she did it. I suggested sending pictures to her to show her there was no sauce because we live out of town and could not go right back. She gave me a number and said they will call me back. A little while after sending the pictures the manager calls me and apologizes to tell me that I was right she did not put the sauce on my pork. She have us 2 free pops on our next order. It was nice if her to offer however this employee arguing with me a d basically telling me that I was a liar pretty much is not customer service that I want to deal with again.

Me and my girlfriend loved ordering from here untill recently. I ordered both of us a combination platter and halfway through my meal I could feel something pointy and sharp in my mouth. It was a small pin, smaller then a bobby pin about one inch in length. I spit it out and realized what it was and realized how lucky I was I didnt choke on this small object and have to go to the hospital. This whole situation caused me and my girlfriend to lose our appetite and I wanted a refund for both dinners because we did not feel safe eating the rest of the food. I called there and they wanted a picture of the item and practically demanded I come physically to the store and show them because they did not believe me. When I arrived the manager was not pleased with my presence and thought it would be a good idea to get angry and storm off rather then apologize for choking hazard I just experienced. I received a refund for one meal when I should have received a refund for both meals and the manager again was displeased with the refund that had to be given. If you care about your health or quality of food please eat elsewhere. Uses to be me and my girlfriends go to spot but now we are scared to eat there again.

Ive been to this place twice and find the food quite good. The service was very quick. On my first visit, I waited for my order, and it took maybe ten minutes, max. On my second order, I called in and asked them if I could pick it up in fifteen minutes time. The order was ready as I requested. Both time the orders were delicious! My one comment was that while I was there to pick up my order, one of the staff members decided to have a bit of a tantrum in front of waiting customers. This was highly unprofessional. I understand people can have a bad day but then go outside and take a walk... Your customers should not see this.

Their Cantonese Chow Mein is little more than a bowl of chopped veggies with a couple small pieces of meat sitting in a flavorless sauce. Their menu claims it comes with crispy noodles (like chow mein should) but there were hardly any noodles and they certainly werent crispy. Way overpriced at $17 after tax. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.

Best Lo Mein but the BBQ Boneless Ribs were like dried out jerky. Ordered honey garlic ribs in the past and they were the same, like chewing leather.

Had food yesterday from Jumbo Dragon. Was the best Chinese food I have ever had. My entire family agreed 100%. Just amazing. Tasty, fresh, hot, and the chicken balls and shrimp were not over cooked. Loved it. In fact we all had 2 plates. Not filling at all. We will definitely be ordering again from Jumbo Dragon.

First time ordering here. We recently moved to the area and had a craving for Chinese food. Checked reviews and saw this was highly recommend and not far away. Yay! Ordered a few of the combo dinners. Both dinners were awesome. Very generous portions, tasty, and for a reasonable price. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Update!!! Rating changed from 2 to 5. I think someone heard the bad reviews. We recently tried Jumbo Dragon again to give it another try because they are local to West Brant and we need good food places! I am happy to say that everything was great! We added/paid for extra almonds and there were lots! The veggie to meat ratio was good; there was a good mix of different vegetables (not just onions) and meat!! Everything was perfect and tasted great! I did not make any special sauce requests this order though. Super happy with our last visit! Thanks Jumbo Dragon! Leaving my old review up for reference only. I usually like ordering from here but today s visit was not a good one. I aways request no thickening agents in the sauce (flour or starch) and I ve never had a problem but today, they interpreted that into no sauce or flavour at all. I pretty much paid $40 for steamed veggies and meat that tasted like water. They did however include the starchy sauce/gravy on the side. Lol! Also . terrible portions of the good stuff. We ordered a shrimp dish, which had 2 pieces of shrimp and another dish with almonds, there was like 6 almonds. And please, it s supposed to be chicken with vegetables . Not onions, onions and celery with the occasional piece of chicken/broccoli. Not impressed with this visit and it was a waste of money.

I have ordered from jumbo dragon for a few years and have always found their food fantastic until my last order. Food used to always taste freshly cooked. Not this time. Everything was soggy and mushy. Nothing like it used to be.

Love this place for Combination Dinners this is our go to spot in brantford for Chinese the food is always hot and plentiful container stuffed so full its heavy and ready to burst!! Definitely get what you pay for here highly recommend.

Ordered one of each - Cantonese chicken noodles, beef Singapore noodles, kung pao chicken, chicken with cashew curry and Jar doo chicken. Although the portion sizes were big enough but it was not tasty at all. Both the curries looked and tasted pretty much the same. The jar doo chicken was better. Overall experience was average. Will not be on my preferred list

I don t know about this comment from a former employee who is disparaging this restaurant? She sounds disgruntled and trying to give this Chinese Food restaurant a bad reputation. My wife and I are new to Brantford, ON, we ve tried a couple other places for Chinese food also. When we ve ordered from here the food has always been fresh, hot and orders can be substituted at a minimal charge. I have been giving a gratuity on P/U assuming the servers receive their tips. We have no complaints (yet) and the call takers and cashiers have all been polite when I ordered and P/U the food. The egg and spring rolls are excellent (nice and crispy). The breaded shrimp was fresh and had golden light batter on them. The Sweet & Sour chicken balls were good as well, lightly battered and chicken was fresh. Their Chow Mein is good, with a lot of meat throughout, I found the rices a bit on the mushy side (but it tasted better heated up the next day). Haven t tried everything yet, but this will definitely be our go to place for Chinese Food in Brantford. The are also on Skip the Dishes and have delivery too.

I invited my sister and her family to have take out dinner from Jumbo Dragon, and they absolutely loved the foods!

Had a bad experience today. The lady upfront yelling at me because she misplaced my order on other side of the counter, without letting me know. Behave with people please and do a proper training to your new staff. I give you all the time 20-25% tip. I should reconsider that after reading the reviews here.

Amazing food, been coming to this location for years and have never been disappointed. Definitely the best Chinese food in the area, in my opinion. My go to has always been the C7 combo but have tried nearly everything else on the menu, all of which has been delicious and in very generous portions.

If I could do negative stars I would the disrespect I encountered when calling to order my food tonight was disgusting.. I was calling to order my step dad his regular order C3 no rice extra chow mein instead, 2 extra shrimp (which we don t mind paying because they tell us how much) , and sauce on the side. The girl told us how much the total would be and she said $17.00, I said no that s not what it is every time we order and have been ordering for years the girl handed the phone over to a guy and he started arguing with me about the price and said his staff ALWAYS charge for a substitute and said if I had a receipt to bring it in and he would give us free food I m sorry who keeps there take out food receipt ? It s too bad that this happened because we have been ordering here for a long time almost every week.

Phoned my order in that was $2 short of being a $100 bill, thats not the problem. The problem was that we did not receive the proper container of food, nd when calling back the lady was so rude on the phone, cutting me off, and made excuses that it wasnt her fault(even though so was the one who took the order), will no be ordering from here again, terrible customer service.

We ordered take out for our anniversary dinner as the restaurants are all closed due to covid. The food was ready when I got there, the staff were courteous and friendly. The food was plentiful and delicious, the best I ve had in a long time, I will definitely be back.

Tried it first time. Not bad. Decent service. Food was ok. Didnt like their version of the shrimp with garlic sauce tho. More veggies than anything else. Ive ordered that many places and its shrimp with garlic sauce. No veggies. And the gate wasnt that great. The fried rice was ok. Noodles was decent. Nothing to write home about but a decent place if yiure really craving some chinese food

Food is good, not great nor bad. order for pick up theyre usually fast, just stay away from delivery. they told me 45 minutes to an hour and it took 1 hour and 21 minutes. Delivery guy was good and professional he earns a star himself in this rating, the food although was cold.

1star is because of the lack of respect the young staff have for customers.. We have ordered from This Jumbo dragon since they opened. The food has always been pretty good . They have however mixed up dishes or orders over the years but corrected them without much problem The last 4 times within 2 months they have mixed up pretty bad . Ive returned orders , called about them , just taken what weve got all at our expense . But .... 2 days ago June 19 2020 was the last time we will spend our money there for several reasons .... We almost ALWAYS order the same thing . Combo dishes . Instead of a sesame chicken combo we got an order of sesame chicken with a plain rice . And the other 2 combos got 1 egg roll each . I clearly stated 1 lunch special and 2 combos and 3 egg rolls about 4 times . When I called back an immature very rude untrained little girl answered . Raising her voice saying I did not say that, laughing scoffing condescending . I could not beleive yet again another 50.00 spent (its usually more when everyone orders chinese) to be treated disrespectedly at Jumbo. I was never there long enough to see these next things happening . They arent wearing masks when you walk in. They pull them onto their face while touching the front of masks then touching other things. They attend to the cash the go back and keep prepping food without washing hands etc When customers call they talk bad about them when they hang up amongst themselves. You all need better customer service skills and communication! As a trained FST Trainer you all need to take a course immediately! Especially know that you are not the only food in town . We are giving Blessings and Beijing our full customer attendance now .

My usual to-go place for authenticity of Chinese foods available, and they all do taste really good while its hot and fresh. They also have a very large selections of Rice, Noodles and Appetizers available with a reasonable price for a reasonable 2 days worth portion of food (which you can of course... reheat the unfinished leftovers for another day~)

Unreliable with their delivery times. Told order would be 45min to an hour. When we called because food never showed up after an hour and ten minutes (we are still waiting) they told us they dont know when it will show up as they use a delivery service. We would have picked the order up if we knew it would take all night. Not impressed...

The portions were good but...the rice was bland, the almond soo guy is made from that fake chicken and its so bad. The gravy on it was too salty. The sesame chicken was also bland and had way more breading then chicken. Last is the egg rolls which also had very little flavor. Will not be back
