Amazing Chinese take out! Had it twice now and this is the taste of Canadian Chinese I have been waiting for. I feel all other similar places in Brantford no longer live up to my childhood memories of amazing food. Everything we have ordered here has been amazing! Most places you get subpar food and burnt rice - or tasteless noodles. So glad we gave Nanking a try. Service was also amazing and friendly!
Love how cleanliness this place is and the food is outstanding. Love how they didn’t drench the red sauce all over the food.
Haven't been to Nanking in years, I'm glad I went back. Huge chicken balls, that have a real good meat to breading ratio, definitely a top chinese restaurant in town. Service was very friendly.
Best quality for Price… i’m pretty picky, & never disappointed with this place.. Way better & slightly cheaper than jumbo dragon! (I eat a bit before taking this photo by the way lol)
My family ordered Nanking for Christmas Eve dinner. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Definitely one of the better Chinese food places in Brantford. The price was reasonable, and they were easy going about substitutions. The only disappointment was the 10 minute wait when we pre-ordered our food a few days early.
Wonton soup was great, noodles were okay. The General Tao chicken was terrible. Breading was soggy didn’t have a good flavour at all. Egg rolls and spring rolls were also soggy. I do not think they fried everything at the correct temperature, making it absorb more oil. I will not be ordering from here again.
Ordered it at 5:00, was told to pick it up at 6:00, received my food at 6: 27. Watched other vehicles pull up and leave with food and no apology. Going to address the fact that I was just sitting there Next time I'll drive 15 minutes further to someplace that respects this customers. Additional: the food was 2.5 to 3 stars (see attached images). The beef and broccoli was mostly broccoli. The shrimp dish had a few of the tiniest shrimp you've ever seen. It had Bean sprouts, as did the veggie rice strangely. The chicken balls at least have 50% chicken, which is pretty good in these days.
Everything was great except for the chicken balls. They were too heavily battered and hard to cut through. The restaurant itself is takeout only, very small and very clean. The staff was good but needs to be more audible. 👍🏽👍🏽
Our go to Chinese food place. Food is always great and service is always quick. As of late though it has gotten more difficult to place an order because the guy that answers the phone can barely speak English.
Go else where Management has no apologies or own up to their mistakes when u bring in a wonton noodle with a big hair hanging out of it Obviously, there are no hair nets used ! Beware of this place . Didn t even deserve one star.

Absolutely ignorant staff that work there and the food is absolute trash!!!! They hung up on my mother when she tried to place an order, and I haven t enjoyed their food in a long time so many other options here in town that are way better maybe you wouldn t loose customers if you weren t rude to them

The worse food Ive ever had. Felt sick after eating it. Chicken fried rice, dry. Chicken balls, hard and dry. $80.00 for a dinner for 3 plus 1 extra curry dish, are you kidding me, just to throw it out! Will not ever order from here again, wont recommend it either.

This has always been our go to place, but the last two times we have ordered have been disappointing. Some of the items are still quite nice but anything with breading is strange texture and taste. At first I thought it was just me, but after asking others in the house they had the same feedback. I assume it is a change in ingredients as a cost cutting measure, and it shows. The sauce quality has changed as well. We will be finding another place to order going forward.

Well we were only 45%. After our first order. We ordered for the second time. I will start with I was told right up front they were busy. And I was looking at a two hour delivery time. 3 hours later we got our dinner. Ok. But. The special fried rice should be more than rice. Breaded shrimp and chicken balls Are all breading. The Singapore noodle was 95% noodle. Had very hard time to find anything in it. General Taos chicken was well done. The only dish I would think about ordering again. In all I would say do you re self a favour and order from some other place

Nanking has been my go to for chinese food for years. Was very dissapointed last time I ordered. The prices went up and the quality of food went down.
Absolutely awful service. Very disappointed with the delivery wait time (over 2 hours!). When we called to check on the order, we were told it would be there shortly. Almost an hour later, it still hadn t shown up. Called to check again and asked for compensation for the wait. Got passed around to two different people and was refused compensation. Upsetting as we have been customers for years.

Delivery time was great, however, every dish was bland. No flavour in anything. Waste of $60. Especially the General Tao chicken.. no spice at all, just sweet sauce on bland chicken. I only ordered from here because Oriental is closed Mondays. Ill never order here ever again
Ive been ordering from Nanking for 30+ years. If I were to complain. The quality of cooking varies too much. One time its good, next time its okay, next time not so great.

Fast & Friendly service, even brought the order out to our car. The S&S Chicken balls were doughy, and the rice had an odd peppery taste for chicken fried rice. The Chow Mein was very good while the Soo guy was dry chicken in a soggy batter soaked in average chicken gravy (packaged tasting). Good value for what you get though which saves it.

My chicken fried rice was dry, cheap on the gravy on my Soo Guy and the chicken balls were hard and dry. Girls who answers the phone needs customer service skills. Very rude.

Nanking makes some of the best chinese food in Brantford.They are not a sit in restaurant...only take out.The food is fresh and really good.Prices are fair....average for chinese food.Their food though is REALLY good.I always get my chinese food here.The owners are really nice too. Placed a timed order for New Years eve. - Order was pushed back by 30 minutes, after I arrived was told that I needed to wait another 20 minutes, then to wait another 20, and another 20, order was going to be 2 hours late. Eventually cancelled order, cashier asked me whats the big problem, and the order was only an hour late. No apologies, no effort o fix anything, All orders at least 2 hours late but they kept taking more the whole time, and misleading customers how delayed they were. I wont be back.

Amazing food. The wonton soup was the best Ive had in town. The Dinner for One, Number 6, was the perfect portion size. You cant beat getting a solid meal for yourself for only $10 +tax. My wife and I are definitely going to be ordering from here again!
Ordered a large quantity of Chinese from this place yesterday to find out the food quality was terrible if you don t mind eating a lot of batter on everything and little meat or product fine I was very disappointed and felt very ill the next day the quality isn t there anymore go somewhere else if you think all Chinese food is created equal you re wrong
What has happened to my favourite restaurant? Coating on the chicken balls was really tough and the pineapple sauce was very thin and not very pineapple tasting.

They must train their excellent staff that The Customer is Always Right.Dont try and twist a situation around.If your spouse calls and gets a figure over the phone.Then the other goes to pick it up.The price rises expediently from $18 and then u add 1 Won Ton Soup.So now it becomes $22.Your spouse goes to pick up the order and two more soups r added to your order raising the price to $30.One of the kinds of soups makes your husband yak.And I myself dont eat any Chinese soup.

The egg roll was really good...I should have ordered 4. Shrimp.....well....sure was a lot of batter.....alot of batter. Rice....ah...kinda off.....wonton soup so so.....chow mein was good. All in all $23.....never received the pop I ordered. Did I say egg was good....thats it
Customers services was horrible, my order was wrong, instead of fixing it, she hung the phone up on me. I had to call back, she agreed to drop off the missing item and told me to never order there again, very rude. I have been eating there food for over 20 years. Customer service very unprofessional, now I wonder about how unprofessional they are with the food.

Really disappointed that they eliminated some of my favourites dishes of the menu. Specifically one of the breaded shrimps with very flavourful sauce. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is always nice. We tend to go elsewhere now because of the menu changes.

Beware ordering here if you have allergies. One of my dishes was contaminated despite ordereing vegetarian options and detailing allergies. Luckily I had my epi-pen and prevented a trip in an Ambulance.
Best Chinese food ever!!!! My family loves this place. Order out for delivery or pick up. Prices are good. I do the pick up. And its normally pretty fast even at dinner time. The almond soo guy is best.( I always get the gravy on side). Chicken balls are great they are the round chicken balls. Not those funny shaped things that dont even look like a ball that some places like to call chicken balls. Eggs rolls love it. Everything great. food is always fresh and hot even by the time you get it home. The people who work there are awesome too and if you feel like fries they have good fries too.

Terrible staff. Just called to place an order and when I had told the girl my name she repeated it back to me with disgust like how dare that be my name? lol I had asked for one of the dinner for one specials and asked to switch one of the things out and she replied UGH, why dont you just get a #4? I told her that it didnt have the item that I wanted and she replied well just switch it out then ???? Isnt that what I asked to do in the first place?? I told her that if she wanted to give me attitude that Id take my business elsewhere and hung up on her. Unbelievable. I work for the public and would never even think to talk to my customers this way!!!!! Shame they have this poisonous person working for them because I actually enjoy the food.

Food is great! Definitely the best Chinese food restaurant in Brantford. Only negative is the less than friendly staff. A few are ok but most are really snotty and make you feel like you are a bother to them. If they mess up your order they will do absolutely nothing to rectify it. They basically blame you.
I have tried the food a couple of times through friends who ordered for take out. I should say the food tastes great BUT..... I will not order from this place. I called to order for take out and the girl who answered the phone was soooo rude. Before I could finish ordering I just cancelled my order. The staff needs customer service training.
I have ordered from Nanking for more then ten years. Their food is amazing. They have, in my opinion the best Chinese food in Brantford The only issue I have with them is they arent open twenty four hours a day.
