Food is always great! However they can be hard to get ahold of. The website says they open at 3pm most days but you can try for over an hour but they don’t pick up. Phone just rings till it stops ringing.
I ordered dinner for my family before heading on a trip. First of all the chicken (both the chicken balls and chicken with gravy tasted like it had gone bad and the breading was hard and overcooked. Then when I opened my chow mein there was a dead fly inside. I contacted restaurant and let them know I was not happy with food and that I was not eating it. We were heading on a trip after so I left my number and name to be contacted back when I was available to talk about it. I never got a call. This was on sept 28th. I just remembered last week and realized they didn’t even call me back so I contacted them! The lady on the phone pretty much told me I waited to long and should have called that night.. I explained I did and was in a rush and left my info to which she stated I was lying and I never called. I told her it’s not that I’m expecting anything now but it’s upsetting that you are not even apologizing for the bad quality food! She was rude and unapologetic. Won’t ever order from here again.
I ordered fried rice with spareribs and chicken as take out. I got home and discovered breaded shrimp and chicken served me instead. No spareribs! If they ran out or something, they should at least be honest about it. The shrimp in question is so tiny, probably cut in half and put in a lot of dough. Fried rice is hard and bland.
ordered here for Thanksgiving .. served rotton chicken.. when returned admitted they had a problem with their lemon chicken.. but all chickeb dishes were rotton.. smelt like dead fish.. they did not say sorry just admitted they had an issue with some the chicken and gave money back.. do not eat here unless you want to be truly sick
Great food quality. Properly cooked veggies. Still HOT when I got it home. Large portions. Will be back!!!!!!!!!
This place is amazing. We cannot wait until it opens back up again. Hot and sour soup is the best in Brantford. The Lemon chicken is also to die for! Definitely a must try!
Just finished the Combination dinner for 1 # 2 and it was awful. I tried Canton around 12 years ago and didn't like it then, but I have been seeing a lot of people rav about how good it is so I thought I'd give it another go after all these years. It was just as bad now as it was then. While the service was great, and the food was hot it lacked taste. I'm a huge Chinese food lover and I know my Chinese food, but this food was bland. The fried wonton were terrible , didn't even know what was in them. They tasted like breading and nothing else. The sweet and sour shrimp were all breading with a tiny piece of shrimp again tasted like breading nothing else. The rice and Chow mean was tasteless. I will never return to that restaurant as its the same as it was 12 years ago. Yuck! I don't know why the people of Brantford rav about it! They sure have no idea what delicious Chinese food tastes like cause it sure isn't here!
I have been coming here for well over 20 years. The food has always been the best i have ever had. I live out of town now and whenever we come into town we grab a meal for 4 special (or 2 ) its the best deal around. The food is always amazing. More importantly the family is amazing that own and run this business. Your supporting a local business that supports their community. When u walk in they always have all photos of the kids sports teams they support proudly displayed on their wall. They are gracious and welcoming when you come into their store.

This is my favourite canton/Chinese restaurant, I ve been ordering form here for over 20 years, the food is always hot and fresh and delicious! And they are very fast! The staff are wonderful and friendly, always a pleasant experience! Vegetarian options: Lots of items for vegetarians to choose from Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating to special requests to have certain food items removed Parking: Lots of open spaces Kid-friendliness: Delicious choices for the whole family Wheelchair accessibility: Parking is right out front and there is a ramp in the cement walk way

Best Chinese Take Out in town

We love Canton Chinese Food Takeout! It is the only place in Brantford that we will go for Chinese food. Everything always tastes delicious, portions are generous and pricing is great. Highly recommend!! Food
I used to live close enough to be a regular customer. Now Im over an hour away and anytime Im close I think about grabbing some Singapore style chow mein ...with the curry Nobody does it like canton! Please stay open forever

Hi everyone - After reading comments and reviews about this Chinese restaurant for a while I decided to order from them tonight. The person taking my call was polite and knowledgeable, the delivery time she quoted me was spot on !! The food arrived hot and everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. The Spring rolls, General Tao chicken, Beef with Chinese greens, Almond Soo Guy, Cantonese Special fried rice and Cantonese special Lo Mein. Best food they have some much to choose from go on by for a bite to eat
So far this place has been the best Chinese food in Brantford. Also the owner is SO nice and accommodating! One time I called after closing and she still took my order, bless her heart cuz I was hungry that day!

food was lacking flavour cho mein noodles weren t even cooked with soya sauce so they were bland and white, chicken balls are all bread with a pea size amount of chicken inside, egg rolls weren t even egg rolls they were spring rolls with heinz s plum sauce packets. over all just terrible food and a waste of money.
I unfortunately will not be ordering from them again. We ordered the dinner for four, half way into eating our dinner we found worms in our beef and vegetables. We were given a refund for half of our order. Other than this experience, the owners/workers are very kind, this was just an unfortunate situation!

Absolutely Perfect
Easily the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered at 3:15 for delivery at 5:30. Food came at 6:00 and was cold. The ribs were all gristle and inedible. Never ordering from here again!
Great food with a good price! Couldn t ask for anything better. Was ready to be picked up and steaming hot when we got it home. Definitely going to go back and recommend!

So I mosey up to this joint for the first time looked Left looked right no tables just chairs for you to sit and wait for your order to be completed the mature Chinese babe behind the counter must have asked me a kazillion times you reddy to order whilst I read the menu I finally settled on #7 from the full course dinners for 1 handed over my hard earned coin and bounced from the joint to my cave and dug into the grub well what a pleasant surprise it was fresh tasty crunchy where it needed to be crunchy sweet where it needed to be sweet and bam I added some hot sauce well I was in smarmy heaven cuz the portion was great yeah there was enough for seconds and a day later after reheating the left overs it was still awesome went back a few days later ordered the same grub and wham I stumbled around from good food intoxication cuz its spot on as the same first order yeah boi loved it.
I used to have a couple photos of their menu uploaded for others to view. The photos helped over 100,000 of their customers. Im pretty sure they are completely unaware of this (must not use internet or something? ). I recently took them down because in our last order we found a staple in our vegetable lo mein. Were not ordering there again.
Portions were fine. Food was just bland. Chicken balls were 80% bread and fried hard as a rock. Wont go back when there are much better options in town. At least the staff were friendly.
1st time ordering from this place. The service was friendly on the phone and in person so Ill give them that. The food itself was not worth the $40 we spent on 4 dinners for 1. The food was very boring and bland. The chicken balls and breaded shrimp was in a huge amount of breading. My kids called it mining as the dug for the tiny piece of shrimp in the middle. They put your lemon chicken sauce and chicken ball sauce on at the store so by the time you got home everything was a soggy mess. Ask for it on the side if you want to avoid this. I wish I knew. I wont be ordering from this place again.
