I ve read some of the one-star reviews about the owner, and frankly, they couldn t be more off the mark. As someone with a background in high-end dining and a family history in fine restaurants, I can tell you that this man embodies everything a great restaurateur should be: proud, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in every aspect of his establishment. The owner s so-called strong personality isn t rudeness it s old-school charm and a testament to his love for his craft. He takes immense pride in his restaurant, and it shows. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the passion radiating from the atmosphere. The food? Absolutely 10/10. I had the veal, which was cooked to perfection tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My fiancée had the meatballs, and they were hands down the best we ve ever had. We also shared a feature salad that was fresh and perfectly balanced. To finish, we indulged in feature cheese cake and a glass of wine for dessert, and it was the ideal way to end a flawless meal. The family aspect of this restaurant is inspiring. Both of the owner s sons work as chefs and servers, and you can feel the tight-knit energy of a team that truly cares about what they re doing. It s rare to see that level of dedication and passion these days. This place is for those who appreciate authenticity, tradition, and food made with love. If you can t understand or respect a strong personality rooted in pride and excellence, this isn t the place for you. But if you re someone who values truly great food, impeccable service, and an unforgettable experience, you ll love it here as much as we did. Highly recommend this gem it s a must-visit for anyone who appreciates real Italian food and old-school hospitality done right!

One of the finest dining experiences I have had, having dined in some of the finest establishments in North America. Highly recommend an old country/school charm.

The first time we called for a reservation, the man who happens to be the greek owner was extremely rude. We decided to give it another try as there was some good reviews and there aren t a lot of other places in that area to that quality. We were satisfied with the service when we visited but that mindset was shifted when we were told that the family isn t italian but greek. The server told us specifically they were from italy, just not a good look. We then tried to call today and again the GREEK owner answered and cut me off by telling me there was nothing they could do for us there. We are two people. It wasn t that hard a task. I think it just needs development on the business end and then it will THRIVE!!!

A bit disappointed with this place. Food is fantastic so no issues with the food. Family run business so you would think family would be important with them. Its mothers day weekend so we decided to bring our 2 girls to celebrate mothers day. We take our girls to many restaurants including fine dining. Fume/Olde school for example. They are used to restaurants and being respectful. Had a nice $300 meal/ tipped 20% overall great evening . No one complained about the girls. The owner at the end pulls me aside and says dont bring kids here. People dont want kids at restaurants like this. Seeing as there was only 1 other group on a Friday night l feel like hes been disrespectful before. Oddly quiet. So folks...if you want to take your kids here...dont go. You arent invited. Non-family restaurant.

The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. Unfortunately I found the food to be subpar for the price that we paid. They are trying to be apart of high end dining but the salmon was dried out and boring. Hoping that the other dishes justify the very high price. Food

I called to book a table for my family and the person answered the phone was asking me where I am from and what s my back ground then I said excuse me and he said perhaps another time and he wouldn t book a table for me unless I told him what s my back ground and what religion I am and he was extremely rude and sounded super racist. Wow I am shocked. We have eaten so many nice high end restaurants but this kind of behaviour is totally unexceptionable.

This is the best restaurant I ve ever been to. From to moment we entered it was like family. Soup was outstanding as was the lamb. Chris and his sons make sure it s an extremely special night Food

Outstanding service, exquisite cuisine and a warm ambiance. Ignore the few overly sensitive complainers that obviously get triggered far too easy. The owner is a gracious man that takes pride in his family business.

Dining here was a very romantic and peaceful experience. I went with my boyfriend for an anniversary dinner and it was delightful. The atmosphere was cozy but elegant. Would recommend for a romantic date night out!

My husband and I came to a restaurant where the grandfather was drunk, did not let us in and told us not to come again. It was my anniversary. Its a pity that there are such places.

First off, if you have no personality, are wound tight and are a bit of a social robot and are unable to engage with someone else who has a strong personality themselves, then your 1 star reviews about the owner say more about you than they do about him. He was fun, bombastic, humorous and very confident/proud of his restaurant and his two sons (both chefs there). And thats more than OK in this increasingly boring world. If you go there, just roll with it and go in knowing he will be entertaining for sure if you are not a bore yourself. :) We had an excellent meal from beginning to end and though its fine dining per se, its got a bit of a casual/homey feel to the place. Our first time and it definitely wont be our last. The appies were outstanding. A warm pear salad for my wife and beef carpaccio for me. 10 out of 10 on the appies. Our entrees were also excellent with a veal dish for me (name escapes for me, but rolled and stuffed), and Chicken Parm for my wife that was made with thighs rather than breasts - likely a personal preference, but I/she would have preferred the breast route. 8 out of 10 on the entrees. Desserts and wines were also excellent. 8 or 9 out of 10 there. Michael, one of the sons, doubles as a server and is very nice, polite and obviously passionate about the food that comes out of their kitchen. None stop smiles from him and a warm individual for sure. 9 out of 10 overall experience.

The food was absolutely incredible!! What a great experience. I crave an opportunity to enjoy some fine dining and thats exactly what we got. Michael was friendly, professional and sociable. Would definitely come back and would recommend this restaurant.

We had: Appetizer: Grilled octopus - perfect grilled octopus with spices and onions, potatoes and a red wine vinaigrette was very tasty and a do over. Antipasto - artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, grilled pepper, prosciutto, Asiago cheese, pickled peppers and capers with a balsamic glaze. Very typical Italian dish Main Course: Veal Chop - nicely grilled 16oz chop with veal reduction. A delectable dish! Osso Bucco - dinner special; slow cooked lamb in a tomato sauce over soft, creamy risotto. A spectacular dish! Dessert: Lemoncello Tiramisu - lady fingers soaked in Lemoncello with mascarpone cheese. A nice light dessert Walnut cake - a Greek style walnut cake with honey sauce Servers were very attentive and polite. They explained the special very clearly and were prompt in responding to our question about the food and historical house.

Food is good but I was legitimately convinced the owner was going to physically fight several people in other dining parties.

A truly fantastic place, with a typically Italian atmosphere. the service is special, and the welcome makes you feel at home. the variety of dishes is exceptional, and the quality is beyond question. thank you for your hospitality

Cafe Andreou is an excellent restaurant in Brantford with an amazing location. Its small so it feels very personal. The food is some of the best Ive ever eaten and is absolutely worth the price due to the extremely high standard of quality the owner holds himself to. I would go again any time.

Hands down the best meal of my life. I cannot wait to go back. The owner and his son, Michael, were so welcoming and friendly. They do everything right.

Absolutely amazing. Got the chance to celebrate Valentines here this year and it was nothing short of perfect. Was a little nervous because of the reviews but the owner and his son were both lovely and the food was some of the best either of us have ever tasted. Definitely a fine dining experience. Can t wait to come back!

The service is impeccable! The food is absolutely 1st class. You can t get food this good anywhere else. I had the veal Marsala. The veal melts in your mouth. This is old school perfection. I ve been here many times and will continue to refer this restaurant to everyone I know!!

Hello hungry world. We shared a wonderful meal here for my darlings birthday. It was a Tuesday so it was not busy. Nonetheless, the owner met is at the door, held it open and took my capelleto as wearing a cap at such a place would be foe pas. It is in an old house, Im guessing 1800s and very well kept, in proper old school Italian style. Clean, neat and simple. After explaining a few things to us and sharing that his one son would take care of us and his other would prepare the cuisine, he proceeded to crack wise and compliment my wife, as she is also 7 months pregnant, again in proper old school style. I ordered my bar testing drink that I get all over the world. The classic Manhattan but with bourbon. I was thoroughly impressed, which I rarely am with most preparations and was inclined to have a second. Some nice Fresca for the Mrs. We had 3 courses and passed on liqures as she couldnt partake, but I would suggest following the servers suggestions. The food was prepared so very well and was clearly extremely fresh ingredients, as we were shown the hurt and arugula gardens out back. Though not a lot of new or unique flavours, no fusion or anything like that, the simple, classic a d high quality ingredients made for a delicious meal on all courses. I would highly recommend for dates, celebrations, events Christmas etc. The meals are a bit on the high side cost wise, but I wouldnt hesitate to pay the prices again. I felt that the more common ingredients were proportionally priced vs. the less common such as rack of lamb or lobster tail. Totally fair if you ask me. The only reason not 5 stars on food is because it is classic. Not that this is bad, it was exquisitely prepared. Simply that I want people to know what they are to expect.. damn maybe I should make it 5. As for the atmosphere... truly wonderful. The music was perfect for the setting. Mostly Canadian jazz of the right kind. The service and friendliness as well as the pride jn quality was obvious and excellent. My ONLY complaint would be the face masks. I cant relax when I see them. It makes me feel gross. However, if it makes them feel better I wont complain because Id love to see them stay in successful business for ANOTHER 22 years!! Gratzi! One of the reasons to stop at Brantford after so many years was to dine at Cafe Andreou. We still were amazed about the quality of the food. Every item we ordered was exceptional. Thank you Chris and Michael for making it a dinner to remember.

This is a hidden gem. I came across this place by accident and its run by a family. After calling to inquire about reservations, we were invited to come for dinner. Once we arrived we noticed the building had so much character. After opening the door to enter, we were greeted by the owner and his son. After a quick chat and a laugh we took our seats and proceeded to have amazing service and food. We will definitely be coming back.

Always an amazing time at this charming, intimate restaurant. I took my mom here for her birthday since she loves Italian food, and she is in love with the place! The owner and his sons do such an amazing job of making you feel taken care of and important. The food is truly AMAZING, so fresh and perfectly cooked every time we have been here. A true hidden gem!

We had a spectacular meal last night at Cafe Andreou. The service from Michael and his father, Chris Andreou, was flawless. Chriss other son Dimitri, the chef, made my main couse, braised ribs which had the most wonderful flavour. Heather had the veal scaloppini with proscuito and spinach which I sampled and it was also awesome. We had Michaels homemade apple baklova with ice cream and again it was to die for. A definitive five star outing.

I have had the pleasure of dinning here for lunch several times now. My sister introduced me to this wonderful establishment. Wonderful gentle man and his sons run the place. Im always receive a warm welcome. The food is wonderful. Well worth every penny and more for the great food and experience! Thank you. Cant wait to come again

Absolutely terrible restaurant. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. The owner had the AUDACITY to actually DEMAND more money from me and my dates after paying our bill and tip!!! THEN HE DEMANDED EVEN MORE MONEY AFTER WE LEFT, while waiting for our cab. The ABSOLUTE MOST DISGUSTING DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR EVER. And you know what this isn t, the only thing the whole entire evening it was awkward and creepy. The waitress had this creepy, fake smile plasred to her face. We were pushed to eat more food than what we could actually eat. I ended up puking afterwards because I was forced so much food the absolute sheer audacity of this restaurant I don t see how it has a 4 ratings because it is not a good environment at all. As this was my first experience with a restaurant with such disgrace I am appalled that they have customers. Food is good but the treatment towards their customers is not. McDonald s workers are nicer than this. This is not how you treat people especially in any circumstances. Dietary restrictions: 98% seafood menu. If you have a seafood allergy I DO NOT RECOMMEND

We were looking forward to a birthday dinner, but unfortunately had to cancel. We called to cancel our reservation rather than be a no show. The owner asked us our background. Then said Yeah. All you people are like this. Dont bother coming here. We anticipated a delightful birthday dinner, but received a complimentary lesson in cultural assumptions instead. Thanks for the unsolicited insight into your worldview. Weve taken your advice to heart we wont be coming.

What an absolute joke! Phoned to make what should have been a quick and easy reservation. The elderly man on the other line asked me if i had been there before as if it was his business. I said yes two years ago. He then rudely scoffed at that. I said is there a problem man? He then decided to belittle me for using the word man. He said im 70 years old and you called me a man...man! I had enough and told him to f-off. This place will never get money from me. There is something seriously wrong with whomever is answering the phone here.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life. This would be zero stars if i could. My family and I were going for an evening stroll and passed by this restaurant on our walk. We decided to stop in to look at the menu so we could make future reservations. No one was there to greet us so we picked up a menu off the console table in the lobby. A moment later the owner burst into the room and greets us as follows who do you think you are coming in on a saturday evening without reservations. You dont look like nice people who i want in my restaurant i was so shocked i have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. I tried to explain to him we were just passing through and wanted to browse a menu so we could make reservations in the future. The owner completely disregared my comments and followed with i dont care who you are i dont want you here im 72 years old and ive been here 50 years you cant just come in here and look at my menu. At this point we were so appalled at the customer service and started to leave. This man chased us down the side walk screaming at us red in the face looking like he was ready to physically assault us and told me to take care of my pimple face as ive been struggling with acne from wearing masks throughout the pandemic. Ive been a waitress my whole life and my partner is a retired chef. We have worked in restaurants our whole life and have never ever seen someone treat a potential customer this way. We live a 2 minute walk away and this could of been a reoccuring restaurant for us to celebrate different occasions, and will forever be known amongst ourselves and all of our friend and family as THE WORST restaurant in Brantford. Good luck to them for trying to stay in business. You have some things to learn about customer service and KINDNESS in general.

Each time the service has been outstanding and the food is always exceptional.I have read some of the negative reviews re the owner but I can tell he is great. I am so utterly disappointed with the treatment I just received Over the phone. We had been there one recently - my fiancée and I had told everyone that would listen that this was our new favourite spot. We had gone once to celebrate our engagement just us two and had had such an amazing experience that we told our family and friends that we would love to host our larger engagement dinner there in the fall. We had called today to see if there was availability to make a reservation and the owner was so incredibly rude. He gave me the third degree on if I had been there years ago. I told him no we went for the first time a month ago for our engagement and I asked if they were full (as in could we get a table) and he told me it s none of my business and denied the reservation. Said I was bothering him. Needless to say we won t be having our parents meet each other at this restaurant any more which is disappointing because we had had such an incredibly hosted experience at the end of June. I don t know if he thought I was someone else or what transpired but we were quiet, kept to ourselves and had a nice time. I cannot believe what just happened - I am still truly shocked.

We were driving past this restaurant last night, decided to pop in and just see if we could get a table. We were greeted with a smile and great hospitality! The food was amazing, atmosphere as well. Cant say enough about this wonderful restaurant.

My daughter (10 years old) and I were out on a walk looking for a place to have a nice dessert. We saw this on the map, it said online that it was open (I didn t see reservation only from the map alone) and we knocked on the door. The man from behind the door answered in an angry yell were closed! Which startled me and I responded with oh I m sorry, the site said you were open . Then again, in an unprovoked angry tone he said it doesn t matter what it says. So I apologized and as we started to walk away he yelled behind us and we don t want your sticky kids here either! . First of all, my daughter is ten and was dressed nice as we anticipated going out. Second of all, there is no sign that says that on the door and we we re leaving anyway so it was uncalled for to stay the least. I yelled behind me we were just looking for a nice dessert! And he yelled back well not here you re not. have a nice day . Honestly the whole experience shook me, especially because the location isn t exactly what I would call a fine dining area. I had never heard of this place before, and am definitely crossing it off my to go list for the future.

Just spoke to the 72 year old man on the phone that decided to yell at my wife because our children were in the background making noise and that he had no time to hear her. I called back to try and make a reservation and he asked if I was making a reservation for the wife that just called. He said he didnt have time for people like me and my wife. He will not listening to you as you try to talk. Pretty sure I dont need to explain myself when making a reservation. I dont know how youve been in business this long with the way you talk to people. Surprised your doors are still opened.

Wow... I ve been here with my husband a number of times and really enjoyed the food, but after trying to make a reservation and being completely berated over the phone by the owner, we won t be back. Some businesses closed to observe the day of truth and reconciliation, so I called to ask if they were indeed open. The owner replied in the most condescending way that if I even had to ask that, then the restaurant was not for me! He repeated about 10x - Not for you! Feeling kind of confused by his reaction, I explained that I was asking if there were any tables available and he barked back asking when would I like to come in, so I replied that we were driving through the area so we could be there in a few minutes. He yelled back at me that s not how it works. So I asked him to let me know when he had a table available, and he yelled again that oh he d let ME know in a threatening kind of tone. So he threw out a time which was more than an hour from then, so I paused to think about it and he said okay have a good night! And hung up on me. There are plenty of other restaurants where you don t get verbally abused over the phone.

My wife and I came here for my birthday and it was one of the best dinners Ive ever had. The food was absolutely the best Italian I have ever had and the service was excellent. Definitely coming back and I would absolutely recommend this place

The person on the phone was very rude, asked if I was from brantford and told me it was a fine dining place and I should know better to ask if I needed a reservation to dine. It doesnt matter now cause they will never see me there nor will I recommend their place for dining.

We stopped in before heading home to Hamilton after visiting a friend. We were unaware that you needed a reservation but we were seated nonetheless. We were amazed at how good the food was! We each ordered a veal dish and my partner exclaimed that this is the best veal she has ever tasted! The sauces were delicious and the veal and pasta were cooked to perfection.

We stumbled on this little gem in Brantford when The Keg was booked up. But we couldnt be happier the Keg was full -- this place is much better. The food is spectacular! I had the grilled octopus to start, and it was blackened outside, and tender and juicy inside -- best seafood Ive had in a long time. I had the filet mignon next (okay, I still wanted steak) which was cooked to perfection, almost buttery and so tender. My father had the veal piccata, and my mother the seabass, and both cleaned their plates. (My parents dine out a lot -- or they used to, before 2020 -- so they really appreciate good food and good service. And this place made my 74yo mom really happy.) The other thing about this place is that they treat you like family. The owner welcomes you very cordially, invites you into what seems like a beautiful, upscale home with great art, and introduces you to his wonderful family. He visits throughout your meal to check and joke (and flirt a little, like all great hosts do) but never intrudes. His son Michael served us with efficiency and accuracy, kept our water glasses full, and never interrupted our conversation. I dont know how much my father tipped him, but I hope it was a decent amount -- he deserves it. Reading a couple other reviews, some ppl complained of rudeness when calling, but I think they just dont understand the owners accent and culture very well. The owner in particular was sweet and vivacious when I called to make a reservation. This place impressed us so much we plan to return next time were in Brantford, and to recommend it to everyone! Keep up the fantastic work!

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Café Andreou and loved every minute of it. Excellent service, hospitality, food & drink! We were even surprised with some dessert wine on the house to celebrate our anniversary, which was very sweet of them! We will be sure to return and would gladly recommend.

I have never had a meal at Cafe Andreou that was anything less than superb. Best escargot I have ever had and lamb shank that simply falls off the bone. It is great to experience anything when it is obvious that there is true passion ivolved. I definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys food.

What a gem!! We have not been to this quaint, authentic establishment before but we most definately will return again! The food was over the top, the presentation was a masterpiece and the service and experience over delivered. Want to support local? You need to make this restaurant a priority for your next special occassion!!

I called this restaurant today at 19:08 to check if they were taking reservations and if they had any tables available. The person that answered the phone says Come on!! you re calling now, it s almost 8 o clock have a nice day in the most sarcastic tone ever and banged the phone . To the person that answered, just so you know I was visiting Paris Ontario and wanted to support a small business, that s why I called.

Went to this place because wasnt sure if it was just a restaurant or also a cafe. I went to the door with my friend and knocked because it just opened, so we waited for someone to open the door. When the owner came to the door my friend asked if this was only a restaurant or if they also served coffee and dessert. The man looked at us both and said sternly No. This is fine dining and you two dont belong here. Im assuming he looked at our outfits and judged us because we were wearing shorts and a shirt, nothing extremely fancy on a day that felt like 40 degree weather. After he made that comment he started closing the door and I asked what he meant by that, so he opened the door again and told us not to walk on the grass as if we are five year olds. I turned to him, gave him a smile and said have a nice day sir, so he just kept watching us walk back to our car. To sum up our brief experience with this rude owner, he clearly doesnt care to be polite to potential customers, especially after months of things being closed. I would steer clear of this place because no food is worth the poor customer service and if you are looking for fine dining, this is definitely nowhere near that. I advise walking right out of there and not giving money to this pr***.

Still the best food in Brantford and the best value. We ordered a variety of items all made with the freshest of ingredients, beautifully presented and full of flavour. A feast for the senses all around.

I told the waiter: I dont like my meal spicy. in advance (!). And I got my main course done spicy. Even after I wasnt happy with the meal, ! Ive heard jokes about it from guy served our table. I dont think it was funny. I dont recommend this place. It was unpleasant experience.

Great atmosphere, owner its a happy, generous man. On the higher price side, but well worth it! The veal chop is to die for! Fine dining, so wear your best. You will not regret it!

The owner needs to learn how to communicate with potential clients. I called looking for some information, I asked if they could accommodate a dinner for a Doctors office of 12 staff. He said this is not the place to have dinner, you will be noisy and its not a party place. We were not looking for a party place, just somewhere to have a nice dinner with the office. He then said you can bring your Husbands for dinner !! We would never go there after that conversation. A simple yes we can or no we can not is all he should have said. My advice, hire a person with customer service to answer the phone and by the sounds of it the door as well.

My very good friend stopped by the restaurant tonight. She and her husband are looking for a nice place to celebrate her husbands 80th birthday. They didnt have a reservation as they werent going for dinner. They were hoping to just stop by the resturant and check it out and look at a menu. The man that came to the door( it was locked and they had to knock) was so unbelievably rude to them!! At first he stood behind the door with it only opened a little bit. They were trying to tell him why they were there..he kept looking them up and down (they were not dressed for dinner), and telling them the restaurant was fine dinning. When they asked if they could see a menu he just said we have everything! ..and its all $35.00. Her husband finally said you are making it reallly difficult for us to want to come here. This man told them to leave. My friend said the whole time he treated them like he thought the were low lifes. She was very shooken about this experience . All they wanted was a nice place to celebrate her husbands birthday with their family. They will never go to this resturant now...and neither will I.

Delicious! We really enjoyed our visit at the restaurant this week. The food was spectacular and coming from someone who lived in Italy - it is authentic and tastes just like a trip to Italy! We had the escargot and rosé gnocchi to start. Both were divine! The rosé gnocchi sauce was amazing and had the most perfect favour - creamy, hint of tomate - perfect! My husband said if we were at home hed lick the plate! For our mains we both had a veal dish - I forget the names but one was with red sauce and another with white sauce - BOTH delicious and different flavours! The veal was cooked perfectly and such an amazing treat since I dont have veal often. The linguni paired wit my dish was cooked to perfection and was of course freshly made. Finally for dessert we had the lemon tiramisu. It was delicious - light, fluffy, a hint of lemon - perfect! We were treated so nicely and loved our experience! We will be going back soon!

Very friendly staff, wonderful ambiance and the food was amazing. My partner said it was the best veal she had ever had. Mine was not far of that mark, too (different dishes). I highly recommend it (but you might want to make a reservation before going )

The food here is excellent. Had meatballs for appetizer which were unbelievable. Steak and potatoes excellent. Had Oreo cheesecake for dessert which was unbelievable. Never tasted cheesecake so good. Found the owner a bit annoying. Prefer not to have him constantly checking in with us. went for lunch the potato soup was in fact the best i have ever had. pasts followed. they make suck an excellent tomato sauce with those small veal meatballs. in fact we dined at Langdon hall the night before. not as good.

The staff were attentive, there was low background music, quick table service, expected prices, and tasty coffee. Note: you have to climb stairs to get to the washrooms. And I was grateful that they could tailor my meal to my likes (remove the spicy elements).

The food is always fantastic. The chef has a special talent for Mediterranean dishes, so keep an eye out for fish and octopus type offerings. Im generally a red meat guy and Ive always had fantastic steak, veal, etc. My father was a fan of the saganaki and it is the best Ive had anywhere. Deserts are always nice.

I called to make a reservation for lunch and asked if there was any spots available for 2pm (it states on google and their facebook page that they are open pretty much all day), the man on the phone said they are only open for dinner. I said okay, no problem. And then, he persisted to be rude because I didnt know that they were not open during the day (even though, their online hours state otherwise). Ultimately, I hung up immediately. During a pandemic, I would hope that they would seize being rude to guests who are asking a simple question and update their hours online if they are to be rude. We have enjoyed Cafe Andreou a few times. Tonight was just as expected...fabulous. Food, staff and service was great. Upscale restaurant in Brantford to be tried at least once.

I have eaten at some of the most expensive restaurants in the world. To be greeted outside and basically told we are not welcome because we have our 4 year old. I was planning on going somewhere else, but to take the time to come out and make us feel that unwelcomed I wish there was a lower then 1 star rating.

We parked our car, and took out our stroller out with my two years old, the owner came out to tell us this is a fine dinning restaurant. I told him, I knew, my gps indicated that. He then tells us, they don t accept children, cause they are a fine dinning restaurant. I told him I take my kids to fine dinning restaurants all the time. Which is true, we frequently visit Quatrafoil in Hamilton and Seasons in oakville, trattoria timone, and even Cucci. None of them are snobbish enough to reject children. Good luck to the owner, even though he complimented my child, I still think he is backwards and his business is the only thing that will suffer

This restaurant is a hidden gem in brantford. By far the BEST restaurant I have been to in a very long time. I have been to fine dining restaurants all over including Langdon Hall and the service, the food, and the atmosphere far surpasses anywhere I have been to date. They greeted us at the door and welcomed us to the restaurant. From what I understand the son (who was our server) is also the chef! AMAZING! He was able to balance both jobs so wonderfully. The food was prepared to order and you could definitely taste it. We ordered several dishes off the menu to try as we had never been there before. Every dish was cooked to perfection and the flavours were simply amazing. You can tell the owners love what they do because they strike up conversations with you. It was a delightful experience and will definitely be a regular repeating client. Job well done!

Called to check and see if they were open (a friend of our had gone a week ago and said they were closed for renovations) so we wanted to make sure before we drove over.. a man answers the phone and starts to yell at me: who told you were closed!?! weve been open for 20 years!! What is in your mind little lady?!? Who tells you this?!? All I was expecting was just a yes were open and then wed come down and have a nice dinner. I honestly had to hang up because I couldnt even get a word in to tell him to stop yelling. I have no idea who this man is if hes the owner/a host/a server but he was so rude that we decided to eat somewhere else... even though I heard the food at Cafe Andreou is better - I just didnt want to deal with someone so rude again.

The best food you can ever have! We just went last night, and they never disappoint. I had octopus to start and then the seabass, the octopus was divine I recommend anyone try it, and the seabass was so juicy and tasty and perfectly cooked. My wife got their bread salad as always which is her favourite, and steak which was so perfect. Medium rare, on the rare side exactly how she loves it, and still fall apart in your mouth goodness with a sauce that you cant compare anything to. The best there is to eat for sure. The service is also truly amazing, its 100 percent the place to take someone to impress them!

Very rude interaction. We were new to the city and were looking for a place to eat. My mother found them online as she was searching for a good place to eat in Brantford. We parked the car and walked to the restaurant as google map had indicated they were open. We were about to walk toward the door when the owner (older man) stopped us and asked us where we were going. I told him we were there for lunch. He said that they were closed. I apologized and said we thought they were open since their google listing showed them as open and was about to walk away when he very rudly responded Im the owner, I dont care what google says. Were closed and continued to say and you cant come in without reservation anyway. Were a high end restaurant. We dont jut let anyone in. I understand that theyre closed and that theyre highend, and Ive been to many highend restaurants. But the way he treated me and my family was not an indication of high etiquecy or evrn just simple etiquecy for that matter.

Spent a memorable evening with our friends Chris and Michael I say friends because we ve been to this wonderful establishment and they continue to remember us and what we do and where we live. As we are from ingersoll driving the forty minutes to enjoy simply the best food I have had in so many years. My wife and I feel that we are foodies. We love to eat. When we want to eat good and eat well not to mention to be treated with absolute respect I can t think of a better place to go From our appetizer to the desert. Everything was made and delivered with perfection We will continue to enjoy amd savour every bite this fine establishment has to offer for many years to come As a side note The. Here s ale we had tonight was bar none the best I ve ever had. TaKe your time eating it ... it s truly a piece of heaven. We had the pleasure to visit Cafe Andreau before going to a concert. Chris and David greeted us at the door Sith a very warm reception. The food was very delicious and the presentation was beautiful . I had the steak with garlic mash and my friend had the lamb. Both dishes were amazing. Definitely will go there again!!

This restaurant is outstanding had lunch there today. Mike and Chris were super nice and welcoming, They make you feel like you belong. The food is amazing, the cabanera is to die for! I am still thinking about how delicious it was. When i had lunch there it made my day I cant stop smiling. I highly recommend this fine establishment. I will definitely return.

Great from start to finish! The food was so flavourful and plated so nicely. We typically get one appetizer, one main, and skip dessert but we ended up getting 2 of everything. We were very full (portions were much larger than we expected at a higher end restaurant) but it was all so good! The father and son team were very welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Truly felt like they were happy we were there rather than just customers paying the pills.

One should not think of this as a restaurant, you are paying for the privilege to be invited into a mans home for dinner. All the times I have eaten here, I have not been disappointed. This is no chain restaurant where everything is opened up from a plastic packaging, assembled and microwaved. This is cooking with pride and love.
