Took my wife there for her first time last week. Food and service were amazing. There is such a friendly vibe there...we will definitely be back soon.

Needs to be updated inside and out however the food is absolutely outstanding!! The best pizza since Italy!

Best restaurent in the area. We were treated like family coming over for diner so now I consider Anthony like my cousin! We will be back as soon as we are back here.

Wow! What a hidden gem. We had dinner last night. The chef described the features and we didn t even have to look at the menu. My duck confit was incredible as was the gnocchi, seafood pasta, tenderloin pasta special,etc. The staff are the warmest and so lovely. I can t say enough about this place and we are already phoning Tuesday to return. Way to go Speekeasy Team!!!

Food was amazing , however service was very slow , we had a reservation for 5:15 got out of there 8:30 .appetizers came out fairly quick , however, we waited for our main mean over 1 hour If you don t mind waiting for your meal I would highly recommend it , if you re in a rush or hungry you may get hangry

My daughter and I had the bread basket with olive oil and balsamic. Salt cod fritters for an app with a glass of Wolf Blass Chardonnay for me and a Pina colada for her. She had the chicken Parm, her usual and I had the barramundi with potato and veg. All was excellent. Limoncello tiramisu for dessert and coffee

Had Roasted garlic and Tomato soup. It was amazing. Great food and Amazing Customer service

The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The kitchen staff who prepared the food was amazing. From the moment we walked in and left we were made to feel like family. Certainly would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was good but it took2 hours!! The service is not good! Staff was so rude, when the food came she said this is not a fast food restaurant! I mean really, that is very rude on my opinion, never for here, the food is not worth the service and wait! If I could rate this 0 stars i would!!!

Always absolutely incredible. The staff are all so enthusiastic and passionate. You can really tell everyone takes such great pride in the food and the atmosphere. The quality of the food is unmatched, as it is so fresh and delicious and just plated so elegantly. This is our favourite celebration date spot and I hope its still around for years to come!

Oh esteemed patrons, I was most impressed with my visit to Speakeasies in Brantford. The food was an harmonious blend of flavors and textures, a true symphony for the senses. And the service was in perfect accord, with the staff providing a warm and gracious hospitality. My meal of the beef tip pasta special was truly top notch, and I must say, I was quite enamored with it. If you seek a dining experience that is both nourishing to the body and pleasing to the soul, then I would suggest you journey forth to Speakeasies in Brantford.

Absolutely amazing!! So relaxed. Ambiance was perfect for a retirement and even more so for Valentines to treat that special someone, very romantic. Customer service is excellent. We could listen to the Chef describe the specials all night, he was true to his word, superb! Thank you for being a part of making wonderful memories starting our friend on her new adventures.

Nothing but excellent food and service EVERY time we come to Speekezzies. Anthony and his staff are great !

As first time customers, we were primarily there on the recommendation of family members. We found this restaurant to be family! Warmth and friendliness prevailed in the atmosphere and tenor of this most welcoming eatery. Our greeting was immediate and Heather(topnotch)looked after us throughout our stay. Any food related questions, specials of the day, or drink details were outlined in a most helpful and knowledgeable fashion. We loved the energy and passion shown. Ah yes, the food was absolutely heaven. We were tempted by so many menu items. This staff loves their food and is happy to put it before you. My wife and I plan on becoming what we saw on this occasion...regulars.

This is ma favourite restaurant ever, the pizza is one of a kind, the restaurant is family owned and the atmosphere is amazing, this is the olace i decided to go for my 14th birthday becuse its so good. This place deserves five stars more than anything. The best part is the fact that the staff literally describe everything, where the Ingridients are from and exactly how the food is made. Vegetarian options: There is a salade option for vegitarians Parking: Good, unfortunately this place doesnt get too many pepole, but there is always an empty spot Kid-friendliness: Good pizza, not the cheapest but it can be shared Wheelchair accessibility: Not too easy but its possible

We went for a small work dinner (6 of us). Our server was the owner of this establishment, along with another younger gentleman. Both were knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and accommodating. I ordered the gnocchi, which was outstanding! The creme brulee was perfect. Of the 6 of us, absolutely everyone loved their meals. Most of us ordered dessert (which ranged from creme brulee to tiramisu to gelatos wrapped in crepes), and we were all impressed. This is a lesser known gem of Brantford if youre a lover of Italian food. Its on the pricier side, but well worth it for the quality and delicacies they offer. I will be back again!

First time dining here tonight with my husband and was sooo satisfied! Ambiance is warm and welcoming and so are the staff. Notice the chef takes his time to check on every table and explains daily specials which he explains wonderfully and made our mouths water. Forgot to take pictures as we were just excited to try it. Everything was delicious and worth every penny! Definitely a hidden gem in Brantford where youll be satisfied with savoury food and wonderful customer service.

We have been going to Speekezzies for over 15 years. An awesome restaurant...... food, service and experience is always awesome! Yesterday we shared a pizza and the gnocchi and had a creme brulee for desert - it was all amazing! Our server was great and the owner came around several times to ask how everything was! We will be back (again)......highly recommended

New to brantford area and still trying to find out favourite go to restaurants. Speekeezies was a wonderful surprise. Charming and delicious. Owner walked us through the specials. We both selected specials, shared an app and desert and 1/2 litre. Everything was delicious. Portion size was good. Left stuffed. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be going back.

First time dining here and it was fantastic. From the time we walked in we were welcomed by Heather and Anthony the owners. Food was excellent from the Caesar salad, the mussels, the gnocchi, the ravioli and the Crème Brule was fantastic. A great meal in a nice atmosphere, great service and overall a terrific experience. If youre looking for authentic Italian cuisine, this is the place! Super friendly staff and the chef/owner came right to the table.

Me and husband, last minute decided to go out for dinner on a night that we knew most places would be busy! When we got here, it took a few minutes but they we able to seat us (we knew it might have been a long shot) which was amazing!!! Not only was everyone friendly and the food AH-mazing (specifically the gnocchi) but when I accidentally spilled my fresh drink into my almost full plate of food . They went above and beyond, got me a new drink and a full fresh plate of food and did not want to charge me for any of it even though it was entirely my fault!!! We were there for a good few hours which is ok for us because we generally take our time on date nights and we are patient when we know it is busy!! We will be back for sure!!

Celebrated my daughters 30th birthday there, we were a group of 8. The service was like no other, they really made the experience, the food was amazing, you have to try the lamb, and the wine was perfect. This restaurant is such a hidden gem, do not pass it by. We will all be back again and again.

This was the MOST HIDDEN GEM in Brantford...if I write too much, I will have to go back right away. The menu, the staff ,the careful attention to your order, the OWNER/CHEF comes right to your table, and gently explains your choices, your expectations and service to your table, and guests, impossible to forget. Just go, you will not disappoint

They found us a table even though we didn t have reservations. Food was awesome. We were traveling from Michigan and it s always nice finding a place with great food in a strange city.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The name doesnt match the environment. I was expecting a pub atmosphere. This is a family run restaurant with staff/family and or friends taking care of their customers. The two people we spoke with who served our table had both been working there for many years. Great food and great service. The environment is fine but a bit different. It isnt fine dining - Its simple but pleasant.

The two featured appetizers of the day were excellent, main course seafood pasta was very good, pizza was just OK. Service was terrible. Slow to greet us at table, slow to take drink order, food was slow to come out. We had two waiters who thought they were both serving our table, so that was awkward. Wont rush to go back.

My wife and I have been coming here for over a decade now as a traditional first date. Anthonys tableside manners and informative presentation makes the atmosphere authentic. My wife and I are always amazed with the full explanations of the meals, the love and passion this location provides and the food is always the best. Fresh ingredients that the chef will love to tell you about, mouth watering pizza cooked in a wood oven fron scratch. Truly a treasure, and always look forward to our anniversary dinners here.

What an amazing place to experience & especially during the Christmas Season. The hospitality and atmosphere is what keep us coming back. The restaurant is decorated with great Christmas spirit and the service from Anthony made us feel like we came to visit a close friend for dinner. Todays meal brought to you by Speekezzies Winebar. Below is my breakdown Ambiance: This place was a charming little spot. When you walk in, you are greated by the beautiful smells of good quality food. The lights are low creating a romantic and cozy atmosphere. There are little strings of lights throughout that give it a soft glow. The place itself is beautiful, old school, Mediterranean feel. Staff: The staff are like a well oiled machine. Instead of the waiters/waitresses having their own sections, you had a primary worker but everyone else checked on you throughout the meal to make sure you were taken care of. Even the chef regularly came out of the back to greet the customers. Food: We sampled from all courses today and Oh My Lanta are we happy that we did. For the appetizer we shared some bruschetta. The bread was a perfect crispness. The tomato mixture was fresh. The parmesan cheese was fresh and high quality. The only thing that was missing was a bit of sweetness. I would love for there to have been a balsamic glaze. Otherwise it was a fresh and delicious start to the meal. For the main, we got Chicken parm. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It was crisp, beautiful and covered with cheese. I loved the addition of pesto to the top which gave great flavor. The pasta was fresh and the rose sauce was good. I just wish there was more of it because I do love me some sauce. For dessert, the bf convinced me to get Cheesecake. Oh my lanta am I glad that he did. It was light and creamy. The chocolate sauce and whipped cream went perfectly. It was a great finish to the meal. Overall, this is a great little spot to eat and I cannot believe I missed it all this time. Highly recommended!!!!!

Excellent food. I can see why this so popular. Nice decor. My only observation and its not a negative. Because of the shortish opening hours the staff work at 110%. It makes the atmosphere a little more frantic rather than laid back. That certainly wont stop me from coming again.

First time there and so impressed. Walked in and the lighting and ambiance was amazing. Felt like we were dining alone under the stars. Food was excellent, great selection of specials and menu choices. Rack of Lamb best ever, mussels with fennel sauce best ever. Great wine selection. When the chef comes to your table 3 time to ask how things are and to say hi you know you are in a place that cares about you. Friendly attentive staff who knew when to approach the table and the apps, entree, wine and dessert where all brought at the perfect time. Highly recommend.

9 of us went to dinner at Speekezzies in Brantford last night. The food was, as always, amazing. They are short on servers but the team really did their best. 6 from our party of 9 then spent today in Niagara and went to Massimo s at Fallsview. They said is was pretty good but not as good as Speekezzies. Shout out to our favourite Italian restaurant in the small town of Brantford, Anthony, and the team and amazing job by Anthony s son who is now leading in the kitchen.

This restaurant is amazing. People are so friendly. Due to the lockdown we ordered online and I could not have been more satisfied with the process. If you want great food and friendly staff this is the best place to go to. I recommend the bacon wrapped tenderloin and the seafood spaghetti. Heather is an amazing lady.

Incredible family restaurant. Italian theme, but with a wide variety of choice. Food is top shelf and all made on site, including the desserts! Last nights meal was 10/10. I had the fish croquet filled with cod for an appetizer and my wife (Tammy), had a tomato roasted garlic soup. For dinner I had lamb chops (best in the region and I have tried quite a few places), and Tammy had bacon wrapped fillet mignon. Dessert was tiramisu and creme brûlée. Tradition has it that Anthony (owner) will personally tell you what the features are. He does this for all the tables and is very passionate about his food. If you don t feel like a big meal you can share a stone oven pizza.

Best Italian in Brantford. Food is Delicious and steaming hot coming out of the kitchen. Portions are very large as well. Bathrooms were spotless as well which speaks to the kitchen as well. I really like this place for a bit of upscale dinning in Brantford. I would definitely recommend.

First of all, the food is fantastic, service is a bit slow although fresh out of lockdowns Im sure they need an adjustment period to get back to some type of normal. Secondly, for anyone saying the decor of the place is dated, its called authentic, and it suits the theme of the restaurant and staff working it. Definitely recommend and definitely be back!

We had a three part wedding day with Speekezzies hosting our immediate family and wedding party for a romantic dinner. The food was out of this world and we didn t even have the pasta (funny coming from an Italian family!) but really service was amazing! Good was amazing! And the owner (Anthony) was amazing! Highly recommended!

Anthony, his family and staff have always given our family the best experience. Always a warm welcome and yes altered dishes to accommodate. Every visit and every meal has been top notch. My parents shared many meals at Speekeezies and I know Anthony will miss Jim and Marg but I will continue to support this jewel of a restaurant. Thanks again Anthony and family for everything

We had a reservation for our group of 8 family members. The ambiance and seasonal decor is very pleasing. Our server Anthony made our evening, with his engaging personality, witty rapport, and menu knowledge. A variety of delicious appetizer choices, entrees, and desserts were enjoyed. Great choice. I highly recommend Speekezzies!!

The venue was beautiful , the staff were absolutely professional with excellent service , and the chef was spot on , no complaints would go back again

Visited with friends for the first time last evening and were so glad we did! Lovely restaurant and a great variety on the menu. As an Aussie was so pleased to hear that there was an Australian fish and a lamb option when our host Anthony tantalizingly described the specials. Anthonys passion as a Chef definitely shows through in his food. My husband had the barramundi and our friends and I had the lamb! Delicious! We will definitely be back!

This restaurant was amazing! From the Christmas decor, to the Hostess, Waitress, and Head Chef that described the specials, personally, leaving us absolutely drooling! The H.C. frequently made the rounds to make sure everything was good...I love Olde School House, but THIS place ran CIRCLES around them!!!

Great food! One of the best, if not the best place in Brantford for a good dinner and nice glass of wine. Amazing food! Love the family atmosphere. They dont try to rush you in and out. Best Italian in the city by far. Really good value for a top tier atmosphere, food and service experience.

Get the lamb. I cant say enough about this place. I have so many great dinners here. The crab croquets, the lamb, the steak, the cream Brule. You really can tell this is a family run business, and they do a great job.

We have been going to Speekezzies for several years now and always have fantastic experiences! The restaurant is run by and Italian family for 22 years now! And all family members help out! Heather is very knowledgeable about her wine selections and Anthony does a beautiful job of describing all the food features and makes your mouth start watering! There is something for everyone on the menu and they always have several nightly features of choose from as well. They carry many different wines to choose from. I must apologize for forgetting to take pictures of the food I got so excited and completely forgot. We had mushroom bruschetta and beer and lime mussels for appetizers, very tasty! And for main course we had tenderloin and striploins steaks, cooked to perfection! They always do a really nice job on their veggies! Never overcooked and wilted!! For dessert we shared the house made creme brûlée! Perfectly smooth and creamy! They also have an awesome wood fired pizza oven and the pizzas are superb!! We love the friendliness and warmth this family shows to everyone who enters and will continue to visit as often as we can!
