Stromboli's Brick Oven Pizza in Brantford

Ordered 2 medium pizzas, and both were great! $18 for two pizzas in 2024 is actually quite good, and their sauce is as good as I remember it being 20ish years ago.

It s a shame, a Brantford staple. It s been a few years since the new owner or management has taken over, it s been a drastic change in service and quality on a consistent decline. I ve been eating pizza from here since a child, they even used to supply my school on Pizza days. What a shame, wish I knew it had been for sale, it could ve been bought by somebody who cared about it s heritage. If it wasn t for the sweet sauce, I probably would never return. Do us (The People of Brantford) a favour and sell to a new owner.

I came in after work a few night ago and bought 2 xl pizzas when I got home the there was a small amount of cheese and one of the toppings was missing and for the money I paid I would of thought that there would have been a generous amount of the toppings. Also thr pizza was Burt. I tried to call back but the store had closed so I posted a google review hoping to hear back from the store and I was hoping to be offered a meal replacement credit but I have no heard anything from the store. I most likely wont be dealing with them again I TRIED TO CALLED BUT WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO CREDIT EVEN THOUGH I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE

Pizza is hit or miss. Sometimes really food or nor. Tonight was not so good. Pizza was so undercooked. The cheese was barley melted.

Food was very mid but they say they are known for the sauce (Brick oven sauce which is actually pretty good other then that the cheese is low quality and the pizza and dough is probably comparable to a box pizza from the store , wings were pretty decent as well

If I could, I would give this business is zero star in and I bought a pizza from there today. It was so rotten they taste disgusting so I am going to call the health board Tuesday morning on this business I took it back and told the lady it was horrible and told her to throw it in the garbage told her I wont shop here again if this business dont get reported somebody else is going to get very sick

I order here often. I dont remember them ever making a mistake on my order. The Brick Oven sauce is very good and unique. The food would definitely get 5 starts if it wasnt for the bacon. I stopped ordering bacon after I got cubed fat two times in a row. That was gross. Literally just bright white fat cubes. It used to be diced bacon, like their ham, which is very good. That was a year or two ago. I cant bring myself to try again to see if its changed back.

Used to be awesome food and service, been getting viesta pack for yrs for 11.00 now it has changed hands and price for a garlic bread and viesta pack is now 22.50!!! Unreal and of course its ran by a different culture!! I will never be back

Pizza is good, you have a choice of 2 sauces, brick oven or Stromboli sauces. I always forget which one I do not like, which I found out is Stromboli sauce. The food was good, service was quick, but Id like to see a bit cleaner store front myself...

From time to time, I usually order the party pizza and wing deal. Absolutly delicious and always want more, lol. My family and I really enjoy the fast, quick delivery on our orders. Even how small the order looks, when we recieve it. It surely doesnt last long. Everyone is satisfied, and we have no complaints. something has changed in the last 3 months. my ground beef looked like taco bell meat today, and the bacon wasnt bacon but a ham .

Never will order from here again worst customer service ever . I order from skip and they didnt even deliver my order and refused to refund me. So I called the store and then you guys refused to send me my 2 pizzas out . I spent $50 and I get no food . And the people I talked to on the phone had the most worst customer service even. IT WAS MOT DELIVERED TO MY ADDRESS I CAN EVEN PROVE IT WITH THE PICTURES OF MY SO CALL ADDRESS THEY TOOK AND A PICTURES OF MY REAL ADDRESS.

Called and ordered 2 New York pizzas.. lady that answered did not listen to anything I was saying.. then didn t take my number just hung up picked up the pizzas.. put the wrong sauce on them and when I called they wanted me to bring it all way way back there, and they would make a new one.. I live in mount pleasant I m not driving all the way back into town for your mistake! You have lost my business!!

Tacos are way to salty and dry no sauce or sour cream and the burrito is just the exact same thing a tiny bigger with less cheese and the veal is one tiny thin slice

Weve been ordering from Strombolis for three years, always have loved their pizza, meatball subs and soft tacos. In our recent order over the weekend we decided to try out their chicken wings - and finally weve officially found our go to place for wings. They were huge, tasty and great value. I rarely post reviews but I wish I had seen one like this before I ordered. If youre getting brick oven sauce, it is SWEET! I got a large pepperoni pizza and a pound of wings. Wings were good; pizza was not. There were two pizza sauce options on Skip - brick oven and stromboli sauce. I dont know why there are no descriptions as to what these are on the site but it seems like a pretty big thing to leave out in hindsight. I chose brick oven sauce thinking it couldnt possibly be that much different to other pizza sauces I was used to but I was so wrong! Not only it gnawingly sweet, but there was so much of it that I couldnt even eat more than one slice. Maybe mine was just a bad batch but definitely disappointed after hearing so many good things.

Had my partner grab me a panzerotti from here. They asked her to look at it and because they threw so much parm and pizza spice on top she couldnt tell it was burned black. Called the restaurant and they asked me to text them pics which I did. The lady was like well your friend said it was ok so to bad. Nice business! Disgusting!!! Wont ever order from here again. **See below for update on 2023/04/06** Love the Strombolis here when you have them with Stromboli sauce. Its a tad sweeter than regular pizza sauce which makes the taste of our overall. As for the pizza, I dont think Ive effect ordered a larger pizza from anywhere, its HUGE! Add-on some extra cheese with it and its a slice of heaven! *Update* it seems that the staff feel that this is a perfectly good panzerotti. Other than the fact that the burnt part was covered up in the store with an obscene amount of parm so it wasnt noticed in store just how bad it was. Was flat out refused a replacement over the phone and staff told us that any bad reviews we posted anywhere would just be taken down. Will no longer be returning to this business to eat there again. In response to the owner response. Can you tell me who said that the panzerotti was on and under what circumstances? It was covered in parm to hide the burnt pieces in the store and wasnt evident until we got home and took a look at it in better lighting and scraped some of the typing off of it to see. Just an FYI. This has not been consumed and I just went back to talk to you personally about it but was told you are not available and that I was the one who essentially ruined the relationship by paying a bad review (of which was not done until I was flat out refused a replacement). Had I not been refused a replacement, I would have posted a nice addition to say that theyre was an issue, but the business had taken care of it and would go back (as Ive done with other businesses before as I always give them the chance to fix a mistake first). I ordered a panzarotti with ham, mushroom and black olives. The inside of the panzarotti was cold and uncooked. We spit out the food mid chew. It definitely did not taste very good. Even the sauce used was sour and did not taste good at all.

Loved the brick oven pizzas ever since they were on clarence st. Iam so glad they still do it! This place has slipped substantially! 1hr and 30 minutes to get a pizza delivered. To get luke warm pizza that was wrong. I called and told them the issue and they simply said it wasnt written down . How am I to see what they write down!!! Unreal. I specifically always say double cheese with the pepperoni on top so my kids can remove it . I said it 2 times just to confirm.

I will start by saying this place is an icon in Brantford, we have been ordering from here for over 20 yrs. The food is fantastic but the problem is they have cut back on the toppings the put on the pizza, I ordered dbl pepperoni and I got what in my opinion is just regular (pics posted) I paid an extra $2 to get maybe 1/3 extra pepperoni complete rip off! I have gotten the same thing twice in a row now and when I voice my complaint I m offered to take the pizza back and add more pepperoni (admission that it wasn t really enough) I decline this time again and let them know I d be posting pic to let people know you don t really get what you pay for oh and they secretly charge you $1.50 just to use debit (we all know it probably around .15-.25 per transaction but) I ve posted pics so you can see for yourself sucks when you re just trying to support local and they f ck you like the govt Ps those are both considered 2 topping pizzas

First of all I want to say the food is amazing here. The bad is 35 bucks for a normal size box of pizza. I ordered a party sqare 1 week ago and received a 35 slice pizza. Today I ordered the same and received this. Photo will be attached. I will not order from this place again.....

I ordered a meatball sandwich a year ago they gave me the wrong sandwich. Not thinking about it i bit into it. Realizing it was the wrong order i went back to get my actual order. They made me pay again like it was my fault for getting the wring order. I recently came back to get the Texas gold hot wings went home i take a bite out of it. It had zero spice to it and a hint of sugary glaze to it. Do they get a lot of orders wrong? How do I come back a year later and they still mess things up. When it hits it s pretty good, but this is ridiculous *Ive had it more than a few times to know that its not suppose to taste like it was just drizzled with syrup. So I had to try this place simply for the fact that it is brick oven. Now the name Strombolis also refers to the style of sauce they have. You can order the usual marinara or ask for the Stromboli sauce which is sweeter by a bit. It helps take the acidity away of the tomatoes and the sauces are made fresh in house (if memory serves correct). It is a thin New York style pizza. I enjoyed it very much. The Stromboli sauce was sweeter than I was anticipating but didnt stop me from smashing the whole pie. Excellent customer service and worth the wait to get it fresh. They do not offer slices which I think is ok as you dont really want your pie reheated if you want that fresh taste. Well done

I ordered Stromboli s for delivery, on a Friday evening. It took less than an hour to arrive at my house, and the pizza was still very fresh. If you re looking for pizza that is delicious, affordable and fast; I would highly recommend Stromboli s Pizza in Brantford. Parking: There are many units located in the same plaza. To my knowledge, the parking is NOT designated for specific stores. Be cautious pulling out of the parking lot.

Got one of there square party pizzas bit overpriced in my opinion for what ur getting i went to Lucianis just a couple days ago got a pizza that had like double the amount of pizza and tasted better for only 27 and I decided to try strombolis and it was 20 for half as much and 10x more sauce then there is cheese, so if you like sauce this is the place for you if you like even amounts go to lucianis

DONT BUY WINGS asked the girl on the phone how many wings came in a pound and she said 8 to 10 so i ordered three pounds and when it gets here there is two containers (pounds) i call back and talk to the same girl and she proceeds to tell me im lying and that she said 6 wings in a pound and that two containers hold the three pounds we ordered terrible service.

I just tried strombolis for the very first time and I asked specifically for stromboli sauce on it. I absolutely enjoyed the pizza and I didnt feel lethargic after eating it. I also found the prices are very good and the staff are very friendly prompt and helpful. They are definitely following covid-19 guidelines and the restaurant appears to be clean from my perspective. There is ample parking and they have debit and credit card services.

I always order from Strombolis...absolutely love the Brick oven sauce. I always get the NY square. However, the prices are becoming ridiculous. $60 for a pizza. We could have gone to a sit in restaurant for a real meal for that price. I get that inflation is causing prices to go up, but come on its pizza. $60 for 1 pizza is crazy. As much as I absolutely love this place it will be reserved for special occasions, no longer a weekly treat and a night off from cooking. Response- No the price was not given to me at time of order. Like I said I order usually 1x wk and its usually $46. U r extremely rude in ur response. I can find pizza somewhere else. I was complimentary just not happy with the price. So disappointed with my recent order! The menu said the pizza was $28 but after delivery & taxes & a small tip it came to $45!!! When I placed the order they failed to tell me delivery was $8.50! Although they mentioned it could be an hour the pizza was barely warm and not very good. In the past this pizza was always fantastic weird encounter with the delivery driver too. Instead of just knocking on the screen door, she opened it and tried to reach in to knock on the main door (which was left open quite wide) I actually asked her if she had just walked right in my house?! I get that we no longer require masks, but with needed to be so close to pay for & receive my pizza I put a mask on to protect myself. I don t know that I ll order again. Maybe it will taste better if I heat it myself

If 0 stars was an option thats what this place would get, ordered a new York square with pineapple on the pizza and half with onion, extra cheese and extra sauce, no onion on the other half, barely normal sauce, called to complain and had to send more pictures than I have on my Instagram, angles, lighting etc it was ridiculous, for paying $42 for this trash and getting harrassed like we were the problem just save your money, will never order again, pics will say it all

We have ordered from you many times in the past. Confident in the ordering and delivery process. This was different. We ordered our usual with pep, mush, back, green old, and hot peppers on half. We got the first 3 items ok, g olive on 1/2 & NO HP AT ALL. Ok so we call back. Your phone answerer was absolutely ridiculous. Saying we ordered 1/2 green olives and did not order hot peppers. Not knowing we order the same items EVERY TIME we order pizza. 35 YEARS now, mostly from Marias until the fire. Then we switched to you folks. Because of your response on the phone, we are switching back. 1 customer NEVER coming back. Have a nice dinner on mothers day, because you folks messed up ours. Great response. Thanks.

When my order came there were 2 people in the car which was strange. The food was bad, I was charged considerably more than what it said on the website, and the driver confirmed my order was complete in the bag they handed me but a whole item was missing. This place needs to put more effort into getting orders right and less into trying to defend yourselves on google reviews. If you are looking for a local place get something else.

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. My party pizza advertised at 39.50 came to 48.00 and we never received our bread..and the pizza was not great , the wings were tolerable. Sorry, Strombolis, you dont get my business. I didnt call about the missing bread because once I tasted the pizza, I didnt want it.

Disrespectful people work here. Worst customer service ever. Period. They talk about how you need to give respect to earn it when they messed up your order over miscommunication. Thats theyre fault. Isnt the customer always right? Not at this place. Complete waste of time and money dealing with employees that work at Strombolis. The owner will not refund you your money for the order if they mess up. You have to beg for them to even hear you out, because theyre never wrong. If you intend on giving them your hard earned cash just know that your risking it all each time you place an order at this place.

Great pizza but things are constantly changing. It used to be $5 medium pizza walk in special, now they ve raised the price understandably, but if you order a medium pizza during rush hour it s more money. Pizza isn t always fully cut, and they charge a service fee to use the debit machine which is I think $1.50. Again, pizza is great but don t expect outstanding service when you go here. Staff turnover is high.

Not nice staff very rushy, you can tell they dont want to serve you. I got two of the $7 med walk in specials and they were not good. Ive had better frozen pizzas. Id rather go get a hot n ready for the same price just down the street. Upon getting my pizzas from the counter I put my hand down and it was so sticky it was disgusting. Wonder what the actually kitchen is like if they cant even clean the front counter. They also charged me $1 for using my debit card. Great pizza! Brick oven sauce might now be for everyone as it does have a sweeter taste to it, but otherwise would definitely recommend. Probably wont get the wings again, but come often for the square za and garlic bread!

Very hot in there, amaaaaaaazing pizza especially brick oven sauce. Friendly staff. Make you feel welcomed. Pizza is always hot, fresh and delicious and gone in under 15 minutes lol. Keep up the good work.

The dough of my pizza was extremely undercooked. If that was the only issue, I wouldn t have bothered to comment. Unfortunately there were very few upsides. I ordered tomato slices as a topping, but got one little sprinkle of the tiniest diced tomatoes. I ordered bacon as a topping and got maybe a light sprinkle of bacon crumble three slices had zero toppings on it. I also got random pieces of mushroom throughout that clearly just fell onto it or something. Overall just didn t enjoy this and could tell very little effort and attention was put into it. Disappointing. ***Edit: A real customer from this evening who actually ordered and just thought it was quite poorly made. It happens.

Worst customer service experience ever

Best pizza I have had in years from a restaurant! Great chicken wings!!! I never ever like pizza place wings....these were beyond anything I have had. Delivery person was amazing and kind! Thanks for making this our go to place!

Pizza is hit and miss. We ordered on a Thursday and it was perfect. Two days later we ordered again. This time there was a ton of sauce. So much so, that all the crust in the center was mushy and kind of boiled. As soon as I picked up 1 slice, all the cheese, which was in the center, slide right off the slice. It was inedible. I called and spoke to a woman who said I would have to text her photos which I did. All I wanted was a replacement. She said Id have to save the pizza and get ahold of the manager. After a week of leaving messages and being told hed call, I called and told them Id be bringing it in for a replacement. Suddenly the manager was there and able to take my call. He was obnoxious and rude, kept calling me lady, accused me of lying, and refused to replace the pizza. He said that anyone knows to order light sauce when ordering that sauce, and I reminded him that we had ordered 2 days earlier and the pizza was perfect. We live in the neighborhood but will never return. Not because of the pizza, honest mistakes happen anywhere. But due to the horrible and unprofessional way I was treated. Im also going to strongly encourage the school to use a different pizza place from now on, as Id be appalled if one of our parents called with an issue and was treated so horribly.

This is a late review but my experience was horrible as well, staff is a joke and the owner is defensive and useless when it comes to solving the problem, for example delivering cold as ice pizza to my door and his was response was I can t control the temperature and it s not his problem. Never again.

Going here for years for the walk in special keeps getting crappier ever time I go . Edit over cooked , parts of the pizza where hard as a rock .

Watch when picking up pizza. Website says they now take Debit but when I picked up they added $1.50 for using debit card.. they obviously still prefer cash transactions. Brick oven sauce is good.

The food here is excellent. One fun fact alot of people might not know about.... This is also a brick over pizza location, if your old enough, youll remember they were popular in the 90s. You can still get a pizza with original Brick oven sauce, as well as the popular fiesta pack.

Horrible service I ordered a party pizza . They did not inform me they have a 16 and a 35 slice one or did they bother to ask not to mention when looking at menu under deals no where does it say anything ethier but apperantly Im suppose to search the entire menu and read everything before ordering instead of just going to deals and being able to know what I am Getting from the description beside the deal when I call about it the representing asked if I wanted to speak to owner when I said yes the owner gets on the phone and becomes rude with me all because I was inquiring about it and then try to claim he isnt being rude . But of course like all owners who cant admit it he will probably claim. That he wasnt rude and that it was all me. So now I have to feed a party with 16 little slices because they want to call a large pizza cut into sixteen pieces a party pizza what a joke should be ashamed to call that a party pizza this is what they call a party pizza deal mind the few slices taken out
