I got a Mac and cheese for takeout and it was less than 20 noodles and it was $24. I got a refund. It was offensive honestly and the service was definitely not friendly by any means. I will never go back

Hidden gem, great fish & chips

The dish I would most recommend isnt one of the options here... Its the apple brie sandwich!! Definitely try it if it sounds like it might be up your alley

We came here the other day for a catch up with some friends. Not only did we have to wait about 20 minutes for anyone to come over and greet us, but we waited for our food for over an hour. We had no communication from any of the service staff - I had to personally approach them and tell them we hadn t had our food after seeing two tables who were seated after us get theirs. She said the kitchen was busy and would go check. We told her our friend with the baby had to go and to just cancel our order. She came out saying the food was up so some of us decided to stay. The food still took another 15 minutes at this point. After we finished eating we waited probably another 30 minutes waiting for the bill so we went up to the bar and asked to speak with a manager. They did not offer any compensation, we had to ask for it ourselves. They said they would take 50% off but after paying for the bill and discussing together what we ordered, they hadn t done so. They had 3-4 servers on for their shift so there was really no excuse and also a massive lack of communication. We will definitely not be back.

Emmalee is the best host. From our 2nd week of attending Trivia on Thursdays, she memorized our order. Super fun but you must reserve your table as it is always a full house.

Between us we had the fish and chips The fish was excellent. I had the braised beef, beef was excellent. Gravy was spot on. Only issue was with the fries with the fish and chips and the veggies and potatoes with my beef dish were a little on the cool side service was excellent

Great British pub style food. Liver and onions were good and I thoroughly enjoyed the fish & chips. Jackfruit tacos were good and the Guinness steak and mushroom meat pie was spectacular. A definite must try if you enjoy British pub food. Kid-friendliness: Our son did just fine in a high chair and enjoyed the food.

The lunch menu has about 8 dishes all for $14 each. The hot hamburger is really tasty. $5 Carlsberg Light Tall boy is a good deal too!

Scotch egg on the menu already earns high stars! Good beer selection and good staff.

Popped in to grab a quick drink and share some nachos with my husband. The service was great, bartender very friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Would return again! Dietary restrictions: Their menu specifies gluten-free options, such as their nachos.

Edit to add: I love how attentive the owner is when people give great reviews but when there is an actual problem- radio silence. We attended a birthday dinner this evening. The restaurant was not very busy and yet we waited almost an hour for our food. We had young children with us, maybe that was our mistake but the issues were with the main dishes. I ordered the fry up and it came out absolutely burnt. The eggs were black, the toast was black, and the square sausage and bacon were very over cooked and hard. I brought it to the attention of the waitress (which we only had one for a party of 15). She was nice but issues were not handled properly. She asked me if I wanted something else, so I ordered Mac and cheese thinking it might be the quicker option and chose not to order a side. It came out and was extremely salty and thick and I did not eat it. However, she charged us for the kids drinks separately (not included with the kids meals?) and then charged me $24 for a small bowl of Mac and cheese. I was in a rush as my kids were extremely over being there since 5:30 (we left at 8pm) I tipped her and then noticed the issues. It was super upsetting and we will not be returning.

We were there on a Monday and had the burger special with fries which I believe was $9, and it was huge and delicious. Parking: Lots of parking available. Located at end of a group of businesses. Wheelchair accessibility: At ground level so easy to enter. Aisles are very large so no restrictions to get through to your table.

Service was horrible, no one else there and still waited almost a half hour for just a drink order. aswell as they seem to always have kitchen malfunctions, broken oven, kitchen fire etc. obviously some sort of inspections should be taken place to ensure equipment is in working order and safe to use

Ordered 1 pound of wings and a blue cheese dip. I was charged for blue cheese and for my 1 pound of wings, I received 6 wings.. They advertise the wings as jumbo, I eat wings a lot, from a lot of different places, they were average size. Certainly no where near big enough, to justify giving someone who s paying 20$ for a lb and a dip (before taxes), 6 wings. Every other place with similar sized wings is 8 minimum per pound.

Service was really slow but very friendly. Food was a little disappointing. Sheppards pie was a little bland and the fish and chips were a little greasy but good portions overall.

We reserved the private room for our family christmas get together this past evening, and couldn t have been happier! Unfortunately did not get the name of our server- but she was friendly, efficient, and patient with our large group. Food was great and all came out at the same time which was wonderful (I ve previously been a server and know thats no easy task, hats off to the kitchen staff!) Thank you very much to all of the staff foh and boh who made our evening so enjoyable :)

The food is pretty good, but its worth the drive alone just to get the British poutine. It consists of waffle fries, cheese curds, braised beef and an amazing curry sauce!

The food was great . We ordered fish and chips special for that day, and one piece of fish was more then enough. We even had some leftover. Delicious and price was good.

The food was piping hot and very delicious! Our service was amazing our waitress was very friendly and very accurate with her orders. She Suggested a drink that I may like, and she was not wrong! I believe it is a place where a lot of people come on a regular basis as a lot of the customers knew each other. I would definitely go again. Our waitress Taylor made our time at the Duke very enjoyable.

Feb 14 2023. Valentines Day My wife thought the chicken pot pie was the best shed had when she was here a few weeks before, so she wanted to share it with me. The server was awesome. But the pot pies were cold in the middle. They had zero favour. They were not a chicken pie it was a flattened mess. Maybe a one of exception but very bad. My wife was very disappointed. On second thought a chicken dish that is not cooked is susceptible to Salmonella poisoning. This definitely needs the attention of the Health Unit for inspection. A very serious health concern. We did not finish our meals. Needless to say we will never be back! To other customers BEWARE!!

Great atmosphere and fantastic food. Taylor behind the bar is the best in the business and takes pride in her service. Definitely a great place to stop in for pub-style food and drinks.

First time , loved the food !!! I had Buffalo chicken poutine and hubby had Guinness steak and mushroom pie . Chicken was spicy , good heat . Steak pie was so tender and flavourful . Large portions and so delicious indeed . We will definitely order again .

Wonderful. Just wonderful, not much more can explain how great this place is, my waitress Billie is phenomenal, she always knows the drink order and has it on the table before I sit down. They had run out of their pot roast special at 5 pm. Had the braised beef with York pudding, more expensive by 9 dollars but it didnt sit well. Had the worst heartburn ever.

We went with a group of 15 for a retirement party. We had our own little area which was good. We got there for 530ish and served drinks, we waited for the waitress on many accounts to order they said we cant order til 7 because it was busy. The wait was long and the food was meh.

Good traditional pub food. They also make good burgers. And a good selection of quality beers.

Great place

The Caesar salad, though tasty, has got to be on one of the least functional plates I have ever seen for a salad. Fabulous large pieces of shaved parmigiana Reggiano, it does need more dressing or at the very least needs to be tossed better; I would recommend both. The service is second to none, my fabulous waitress engaged in all the right ways and at the right time. A huge shout out to .Kelly

We love The Duke on Park. Our students have played there as well as Sivle. The owner and staff are always so accommodating and helpful. The food is also delicious. Great atmosphere.

Trivia Night on Thursdays is a lot of craic. Would consider it my local pub for a great pint oGuinness and lovely food. Staff are brilliant and welcoming. One of the few places Id recommend Liver and Onions

Always great food at reasonable prices at the Duke

The Duke burger is perfection simple, with a homemade vibe. Paired with the most-excellent onion rings Ive ever experienced, one is instantly transported to Valhalla.

There seems to be an issue with this places water or dish cleaning machine. Every time I have been here there is an OFF taste in any of the drinks I ve had. Most recently the water was sickly and beer tasted as though they were trying to shock it clean with chlorine. It s unfortunate since the food is pretty tasty.

Stopped for lunch and had the toads in the hole. Fantastic. Nice thick gravy. Mashed potatoes were nice and soft. Went down nicely with the michelob ultra they had on tap.

Took a very long time for our lunch on a Friday, definitely not a quick lunch. They had one party of 12, not sure how long it usually takes, but that may have hindered it Quiche was good, hubby enjoyed the meatloaf No offer of refills, water or sodas I would go back to try something else or another quiche

My husband had a beer at the bat and placed an order to go... after 35 minutes of waiting and asking about our order of fish and chips and a sandwich he left. Bartender more involved with friends at the bar and managing Uber orders... so disappointing... hire more mature and responsible staff.

We did go on a weekday for lunch, so it was nice and quiet. The food was good, nothing I would really rave about. We got pretty simple food items wings, apps. The food came out fast and fresh. The service was pretty bad as we had no condiments, no cutlery. We were not checked on once. The table beside us left while the table was left filthy as the servers sat and did cutlery roll ups. We had to look around and flag for attention for drinks. We wont hurry back but will try again on a weekend evening perhaps.

Fish and chips lived up to the hype. Definitely return, just not on trivia night. Patio was nice but no shade. Service was great and friendly. Food : 5/5

Was so good. Highly recommend. I had the braised beef in Yorkshire pudding bowl, it was mouth watering good. Will return. *New edit* went in for lunch. Was disappointed with the food this time. The burger was burnt, the bun was burnt, the fries were so over cooked I had to dig through for ones I could eat. The gravy was very good, best part of the meal. Also, for a place that does British food/Indian food/Canadian food and offers dishes in a Yorkshire pudding bowl, not a Yorkshire pudding poutine to be found... Put the fries, curds and gravy(not curry sauce)in a Yorkie bowl, Im drooling thinking about it. Just a thought.

Was recommended by a lady who was going there we were glad she did. My Family and I were warmly greeted by Billie who was really helpful with our order. The pints of Harp were nice with our meal. Parking: When we went in the evening there was lots of parking. I think it depends on what day and time as they have Trivia nights and live music nights Kid-friendliness: Billie made sure our Niece had the real lemonade as my family came from England

Our 1st time here and our food was all amazing. Had the Tattie Fritters, Scotch Eggs, Fish Tacos and Liver and Onions. Portions were huge. We were on the patio with our doggie and he was treated just like a customer!! Laura our waitress gets 5 stars for her service too! We will definitely be back!

This place is a gem! I bring my family here to get some good eats. Everything has been tasty so far. The steak and guiness pie is a must. Laid back atmosphere is great too.

I enjoyed dinner and lunch at this restaurant this past week and the service was fantastic. Everyone was very kind, friendly and made suggestions on the menu. I ran late to the dinner so they held off on making my food to make sure my experience was good. The food was delicious and the restaurant has such a warm and home-feeling atmosphere. I look forward to returning to celebrate a family members birthday next month!

Unfortunately when we went the liver and onions tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for hours. The fish and chips were so greasy it was inedible and the coleslaw had turned bad. The staff was friendly and attentive and the mac and cheese was very good.

Good food and a good atmosphere

This was our first time at the Duke on park. I had the fish and chips the fish was greasy and soggy on the bottom and the frozen fries were a huge disappointment. My husband had the butter chicken the chicken was good but the rice was undercooked. The table we were seated at was right beside the kitchen door and the waitress area. Was way to busy and the fowl language coming from the kitchen was really off putting. We were excited to finally have a chance to try the establishment but unfortunately it was a huge let down.

We were very disappointed tonight we ordered the braised beed in the yorkshire pudding bowl. The bowl I guess is no longer so it was two regular sized yorkshire pudding. The edges were very dark and hard and tasted burnt. We mentioned it to the waitress who mentioned it to the kitchen. She came back and told us the the yorkshires are always like that. We have eaten it many times and they are not always burnt and hard......for 27.00 I expected more than burnt yorkshires. This used to be my favorite dish there maybe not anymore maybe not even going back. We used to go for fish and chip night till they burnt them once and Said the same thing Very disappointed

5s across the board! You cant go wrong here Ive never had food I didnt like, Ive never waited for a top up on my drink - while also not being pestered too often - and the atmosphere is a perfect pub feel! And you cant go wrong on trivia night, but call ahead as it books up QUICK!

If you havent been to Duke on Park, run dont walk! Fabulous food, friendly staff. We had the cheesy garlic bread to start, it was smothered in cheese and cooked to perfection. My husband got the 2 piece fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked and moist. The fries were hot and crispy. I got the braised beef and Yorkshire pudding. The portion was giant. The beef was melt in your mouth, the Yorkshire pudding was soft, the potatoes were hot and the veggies were soft with the perfect amount of crunch. Our drinks were never empty and we wanted for nothing the whole time. I cannot say enough about the quality of this restaurant. Thank you for an amazing experience!

they have really cut their menu down a lot of stuff they dont offer anymore. Was not impressed with the food and I think has gone down hill since Covid. Use to go there all the time. Wont go again

A cute bar that definitely has a Cheers kind of atmosphere. A pretty lowkey and chill vibe. Buffalo chicken wrap was really good, and staff were great.

Went in today for a meal. Had a British poutine with gravy sauce substitute and had a buffalo chicken wrap with sauce substitute as well. Food was good, but the service is extremely questionable. I didn t feel welcome at all. I just finished my poutine and started into the second half of wrap, then went to the bathroom. I returned to my table to find my table empty :(. Someone on the staff disposed of my food and water while I was in the bathroom. The server made the excuse oh, I thought you left . I stated No, I was in the bathroom and had no intention of dine and dash, that s not who I am To prevent any conflict and feigning of victimhood for no tip. I paid my meal and even tipped, it came $42.38 plus $6 tip. Nobody deserves to be treated like this. I ve done nothing wrong but the server seemed to assume I left without paying. The fact is I was just using the bathroom. By the way, I m Indigenous, Konadaha Seneca Six Nations of the Grand River. I certainly hope my ethnicity wasn t the motivation for this behaviour.

The food was good, cooked well and had nice flavor. 1 star off because I requested to not have an item with my meal due to an allergy, and still received the item. My meal was taken and brought back corrected in a reasonable amount of time, although my company had already finished their meals. The server was friendly and efficient, I would go back.

Went in for the first time around 730pm, ordered the Shepherds Pie and the other that came with me got the Mac n Cheese. Also got the Calimari as well as Scotch Eggs to start us off- everything was delicious and hot, with the pie being an enormous serving. Prices are a little above average, but I felt satisfied with them. Live music also added to the atmosphere. Ill definitely be coming back.

First time trying Duke on Park, oh boy I didnt know why I did not try it sooner. Fish and chips were so good. My husband had the Big Ben burger and added jalapenos, he was in heaven. Great atmosphere and our server (Katie) was so friendly and funny. So much more on the menu I am dying to try.
