Trying to not be that guy after our meals at Chucks.. but they barely deserve a 2. Our server (Tamara) was lovely, she really cared and was attentive to us having a good time. The poor bartender was working her butt off. They had a bunch of parties, but it just seemed understaffed. Its a Saturday, we shouldnt have to wait 40 mins for beers. Theres better places in town to go. Dont accept a table by the door, youll freeze. The food straight up sucked. Montreal meat sandwich incredibly dry, barely any mustard. Onion rings were tasty but wings were soggy and bad quality. We were just at Chucks in Niagara Falls last week, how is THAT location with twice the activity of Brantford be so much better than here? Wont be returning.

The food is decent, staff are great, price are reasonable. My only really complaint is that it s so loud in the restaurant. My partner usually sits beside me so that we can actually hear each other talk.

Went here for the first time ever last night. Brought our friends here for Half Price Apps, and truly had a wonderful experience! Our server, Ilia, was one of the highlights. He frequently checked on us, refilled drinks without asking, and was kind and warm with the kids. All the food was okay, warm and decent for this type of restaurant. To top it all off, the owner was on site and was also a great addition to the experience. He was funny, personable and took the time to talk to us like old friends. Kid-friendliness: Welcomed the children and gave them a lollipop treat after dinner.

My crew and I normally rotate restaurants after finishing a good work week but now that weve been served by Tylor. Best bartender in Brantford. He makes me and the crew after work feel right at home!!! We no longer have to pick where to go cause of the great service we go to Chucks

Went here with my work. I ordered boneless chicken wings with mild sauce. The food started to come out and the server asked who got boneless withs with bbq sauce. Clearly thats not mine so I dont say anything. She leaves and comes back saying it came from my part of the table. I said I ordered mild and with attitude she says well bbq is our mild. I told her as she walked away pissy then why do you have bbq and mild on the menu as separate options? My bosss steak went missing and it turns out she gave it to the wrong person.

Came in lastnight for half price apps service was terrible and food was awful. Not even worth half the price. I dont usually leave reviews, but as my wife said maybe if the waitresses were considerate taking care of their tables and less standing around talking it could improve, our family will not be back.

Gone there a few times. Always noticed the waitresses don t seem to like the owner. Well today, no waitresses, only the owner and his wife, did they all quiet? Asked the owner where they were but he wouldn t answer. He also makes terrible Caesars. Ordered nachos, after a half hour waiting, couldn t eat them cause they were so over cooked and hard and they were stuck to the paper. Paid for our Caesar s and left, won t be back.

Was there last night, service was slow, they got my order wrong then at the end with bill said Im sorry I made a mistake but if you take the rest of the wings home you will be charged umm you made the mistake not me. While I was eating a huge cintepede was crawling on our table, never again!!! I also observed smaller cintepedes around the childrens crayons and colouring placemats. I took my baby and walked out. This was the brantford location!!

I am putting one star because I have no choice. The worst experience ever, the food was HORRIBLE!!!! No quality at all: chicken wings extremely dusted and without any flavour. One of my friends ordered a ribs with wings combo and received thighs instead. The quesadilla was too spicy and no flavour at all, the fries were not crunchy. The service was good but the overall experience was the worst. I wont ever come back to this place to waste my money.

I have a sister who lives in Brantford, ON, and I wanted to surprise her by having dinner delivered. Thats when I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner of Chucks Roadhouse. After explaining the challenge I had, he decided to go above and beyond He told me that although Chucks Roadhouse does not have a delivery service, he would make an exception and personally deliver my order to my sister. I cannot thank him enough; it just proves what a good person he is. Thank you very much to Chucks Roadhouse. When I am in Brantford, I will be sure to stop in and shake your hand. Vincent Lomax.

I had a great experience at Chuck s today. Our waiter was very friendly, quick and efficient. The manager checked in with our table a couple times today, he was very friendly as well. Great sense of humour and made our visit memorable. The food was great, tasty and very affordable. I recommend visiting this Chuck s location!

We had a group of 10 and there was a group of 40 there and we all got great food, service and a wonderful, homey atmosphere! We had a variety of food, from steak, lobster, spaghetti, wings ribs, burgers, sticky bread pudding and ice cold Rickards Red! Everything was hot and delicious...especially for the price! Its our go to!!!

Had a fantastic night going to Chucks on a whim. Ordered a few apps after 9pm for their half app pricing. The place was packed so service was a little slower but still everything came out fantastic! Hard to beat the price now a days too.

I am still taken aback that we went to dinner on a Friday night and were in and out in 40 minutes total. Sometimes we ve sat for longer than that just waiting for our meals at other locations. This Chucks is superior.

Ordered Caesar salad, and the croutons were stale. Called waitresses. It took 5 min. to get her attention. Told her they were stale, and she replied sorry and walked away. Had to go after her and say you dont expect me to eat this. She said you want a new one. I said yes if you open fresh croutons. By the time it came back I was the only one eating everyone was done. Might give it one more try. We will see

Server Tara was fantastic, she went above and beyond to make me and my whole table feel welcome and well tended to! She deserves a raise, though the chicken was very dry.

Hit and miss. Service is sometimes great and sometimes slow & lacking. Their steaks are heavily marketed but significantly underweight. If you order a 12oz steak, expect 8oz or less (meaning less than 6oz cooked weight). I don t go here anymore because I don t appreciate dishonest businesses. There s also an honest to goodness fee of 3% that is added to every bill. This is not clearly stated anywhere - an additional fee should be clearly called out on the menu and by the server prior to ordering. Another dishonest business practice. 3% is not a lot but the entire principle just screams dishonest business. My recommendation is that you drive across the street to Zanders (an honest business).

The fillet is a better value and just as good as the Keg imo.

Fries were burnt and hollow inside . I ordered rare stake because the steaks are thin, this was inch thick 3 inches long n raw. 3 bites it was gone, it was like a stew meat. Not sirloin. The waitress was always off talking to staff or a single guy next to us . Not one time she asked if we need anything. We had no napkins no water she brought the steak n said CUT IT NOW!!! I NEED TO SEE IF ITS DONE.!! Anyway I asked her why not one time once why you didnt ask us if we needed anything. She said Im to busy she had 2 tales. Mine and the single guy. Who got her number. Then she said Im going to take something off your bill I asked her why she said because youre not happy. I said its not THE OWNERS RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COOK OR YOU. I paid n walked out. Ive been to a lot of Chucks and by far this is the worst. Owner) you need to fire some people. Watch your restaurant if you dont want to close. Your losing waayy too much money.

Food was good, you get what you pay for. Service on the other hand was phenomenal. Crystal was our server and she met and exceeded our parties expectations. She was attentive to all of our needs and was polite, courteous and helpful when we had questions.

Agree with previous reviews, you get what you pay for. I have been to other Chucks locations, the food and service are superior to Brantford. When a customer asks for ice water with lemon...can you please tell me when a best practice for any server is to bring the requested lemon IN THEIR HAND!!!?????

Chicken parm, the chicken was delicious but the bed of spegetti was not very good. Just OK. The drinks and Caesars salad were great. We had a fine time . the menu online said cheesecake & cornbread but they never had it . Kid-friendliness: There was a sports team celebrating . the boys looked about 10-12, adult supervised

Amazing food, service and atmosphere

This is a wonderful restaurant and the service and atmosphere is bang on.

Awesome sports bar, TVs everywhere, $3 beers and burgers rock. Tonight we stopped in for drinks and apps, half price apps after 9 are my favorite. The patio is one of the best in Brantford Parking: Tines of free parking, wicked close walk Kid-friendliness: Kid menu rocks and they were nice to my little guy.

Accommodated our party of 20 in a timely and efficient manner. Service and vibe were immaculate! Our waitress was great and the owner is a stand up gentleman based on how our entire group was treated. If you are in the brantford area for sporting events this is your spot!!

Went for a hockey party between games, we were able to preorder our food, as soon as we arrived drinks were on there way out and shortly after the food came. They served over 50 people in less than an hour. It was a very good experience, well done!!!

2 weeks in a row stood by the door for over 5 minutes. The first time was even longer. We used to come here weekly, the the service has gone to hell. Were gonna have to find a new place.

First and last time ever going to this location. I understand there was a big group in our section, but the fact that our appetizers took over 30 minutes to come out, another table that just sat got their appetizers (same app as ours) 10 minutes after them sitting down and before we got ours after waiting over 30 minutes like I said. Our server Mary was of no help, never came to check on us and would purposely avoid eye contact walking past our table, VERY argumentative, even crouching down to my eye level to tell me she s been nothing but nice to me and to calm down when I asked to speak with the manager. Mary is a very condescending and aggressive waitress and I ve honestly never experienced that type of behaviour, and I m also a server so I can understand being overwhelmed or frustrated, but the way she treated me and my fiancé was absolutely disgusting. I talked to the owner twice about her behaviour and honestly she was so lovely! She took one of the appetizers off and offered us free dessert, but at that point we just wanted to get out of there. I love Chucks and we go to different locations, but we will NEVER be back to this one.

Our appetizer was a no show. When our food arrived half of it was cold. Cant blame being too busy, restaurant was barely half full.

First time I have been at Chucks in a while and I know why. My wife and I went in for a little bite, which turned out to be nachos. We got the extras l, guacamole and Buffalo chicken for an extra 7 or so dollars. What a let down. There was next to no cheese on the nachos and very little chicken. Which was barley warm. I wont be back for food there any time soon. Back to the Pipers Arm. Excellent food there.

Updated Showed up after hockey at 9:40pm on Sunday, sign on the front door says they are open until midnight. Waitress came to the door and said the manager says that we are closed. Food is good, beer is good, customer service not so much. Boston Pizza got our money. March 24,24 - This place is absolutely brutal, staff are putting up chairs while orders havent been taken. Then they advised that they are closing the kitchen. There are over 50 people inside the restaurant. I wish I could give no stars for their service.

Didnt get what I ordered. When they brought it back it was under cooked. Loud talking in kitchen so kind of ruined the moment for my husband and I. Also lobster tail was tough and wasnt hot.

Our family stopped in for dinner after visiting disney on ice in Hamilton my daughter was dressed in a princess dress and the staff and owner went out of their way to make her feel just as special as she was dressed. service was fast, food was great and we would definitely return and recommend. Never frozen 6oz Prime Rib Burger and fries for $9!!! Try and find value like this anywhere else in this economy. Service is top shelf. I had an adult beverage with mine and still paid less than what I would pay for a combo at the main stream fast food joint in the same plaza. I ll be back with the whole family next time!

For a great meal, good service and decent prices, Chucks road house is the place to be. Just make sure you sit at Shannon section.

Kathy the bartender is amazing so patient and kind. $4 pints cheapest around. There is a hidden 3% fee to keep prices down and the owner likes to reserve spots at the bar for regulars. Never have seen reserved bar seats like at the bar. Ridiculous but Kathy is awesome.

Food was great and fast. We visited as a hockey team with a party of 50+ and they were able to accommodate us all comfortably and provide speedy and friendly service. Took our orders based on Jersey numbers and kept it all super organized. And as always, you cant beat the price! Thanks Chucks!

Servers look mad all the time and food is sub par

I have been here a few times & really dont enjoy it, but a friend very often wants to eat here. Not much choice on the menu, the fries are always cold, they dont mention the extra charge on the bill (secret), and I know that it is a bar but it is always SO LOUD in there that it is hard to talk. I also dont appreciate the server standing right at the table when I am paying, walk away & come back.

Why do I like this place? Why do I spend almost $500 a year probably here? 1. The staff aren t nasty people but are friendly but not too friendly where it s annoying. The right dose of friendly. 2. The food is cheap but never tastes cheap. 3. The seating is nice, I never feel like I have strangers breathing on my neck because they are too close and the music is loud enough that I can t hear the convo of the next booth over. 4. It s always open late which is good. 5. It s good is better then all the other Chucks locations. 6. It s an easy place to get big groups too without any nonsense. 7. It s cheaper then A&W and McDonald s

What a great experience!!! We had steak and lobster which was cooked to perfection! My Caesar salad was delicious and fresh!! The dessert my husband took the managers advice and got the buck a roo which he said was amazing!!! I had the butter toffee bread pudding and it was scrumptious!!! The service was sensational!!! We all got our meals except one person in our party. She waitress said there was a mistake in teh kitchen it would be right out. We were almost done our meals when the manager walked by and my friend did not receive hee meal. He this pont we were done eating when they brought out half her meal. Just the lobster and fries still no steak. I said we are not paying for her meal. The waitress said that was fine and it will be taken off. When wee received the bill the meal was still on the bill and when I asked the waitress she said we dissipated the steak off the price off the overall meal. UNACCEPTABLE, it was late we had been there forever. So I paid and left. WILL NEVER GO BACK.

We been going to this restaurant seen it opened. We love there food but two time now the owner just made sure we will not go back. First time was when we did take out and the wife said we had to give a tip. The last time was last night when they said we did not have to make a reservation because it was later in the night. We get there and the Owner (Husband) this time made a big deal about us having a reservation. There where so many open spots and no one was coming in. Even the couple that came in after us said they called and was told they did not need one. So he looked through a bunch of papers from his pocket. To make it look like he was looking. There was none so than he comes back a few minutes later and gave us a table. I understand it was v-day and all when you are not busy and try to act like you are and be rude to customers it does not look good. Then the owner was not interested in the customers seating behide us than working. No hostess at the door and the owner doing it was more worried about the one customers then any others. Customers even left because there was not hosts at the door. This was after the dinner rush time. Sad to say we will drive to London or Kitchener for now on.

Good good, and you cant beat the prices.

Great food, great atmosphere, cheap domestic pints!! Will return!
