If you ve never been there for taco Tuesday you need to. They have 5 or 6 different kinds to choice from and mix and match and at $4 a taco you can t get a better deal. I know what you re thinking $4 a taco these are not your Taco Bell tacos there are larger and much higher quality. Apps are very good from the nachos to the cheese burger egg rolls.

Anytime Ive gone here, ive left half my plate and thrown the rest out. Server didnt smile a single time. Appetizers were good though, and the place is nice enough to sit and chat in

My first time going there, the waitress was wonderful. Whoever was cooking was very slow and not on queue to get everyone s order in a timely fashion. The waitress kept apologizing that it wasn t ready yet, which is not her fault. It s the cooks. I don t know if I would ever go back there because of that. very disappointing

If you want to go and have a nice relaxing evening. Go somewhere else. We ordered an appetizer. And our dinner and they come out at the same time. Cold fish and chips. As it sat and waited as we tried to enjoy ore appetizer. Felling like we are getting rushed out not happy I m sorry but we both said when our fish and chips came out to cancel they ordered. At that point I was not sure on how our food would be treated. The fact that you remade the order is not on us. We made completely clear. We did Not what the food anymore. But all good.

The food and servers are great as usual.

Came here for Mother s Day dinner. It wasn t even busy and we sat at the table for easily 10 minutes before our server came to greet us and get our drinks. I ordered the taco salad and with no sour cream & tomato, first time it came out it had sour cream on it, our server said she knows it s wrong but wanted to bring it out anyways incase id eat it. I said no thanks and asked for it to be remade as I don t like sour cream. Second time it came out it had no sour cream but it had tomato s. Our server never came back to check on us so I had to pick them out of each bite which wasn t enjoyable, then found a nice dark hair midway through the salad. To top it off our server was speaking to us like people speak to babies, like we were stupid. Not how we were hoping to spend my Mother s Day dinner that s for sure.

First time was great definitely recommend. Would do this once a month if the cost of living wasn t so expensive here in Ontario lol

I absolutely love Hudson Public. It is my go-to place in Brantford. The food is excellent and the service team is exceptional. Special shout out to Tracy, Amanda, Ocean and Dasha who are among the best in the business. The clientele are friendly and the bar regulars are a great bunch of people. If you are looking for a great dinner before a show at the Sanderson or drinks with your friends, Hudsons is the best in Brantford. I ll see you there!

I couldnt say enough about this place. I went Sunday with their $8 apps. Amazing experience. Very good staff. Awesome location and atmosphere. Prices were right. And the food was so good. Big portions. I Came from London and hands down one of the best places Ive been to recently. The chicken wraps are absolutely amazing. So tasty. I cannot decide which is better. The buffalo chicken wrap or the crispy asiago chicken wrap. Nachos are fully loaded and delicious.

I usually never have a complaint at Hudson but this evening I ordered take out and I must say was very disappointed my cheeseburger egg rolls were just ground beef in an egg roll wrap my cheese wedges were cold as well as the onion rings might have been warmer if I didnt have to stand at the host stand for as long as I did waiting for someone to help me as 2 servers just sat the rolling silverware they looked up multiple times just to leave me waiting like I said I usually have a great experience there but this time was a big disappointment

Hudson Public is fantastic! The food was wonderful, and the service was fast and super friendly. Cheeseburger egg rolls were do yummy The only drawback is it is downtown Brantford and walking from where we parked made my daughter and myself pretty uncomfortable. Park as close as you can get!

Stopped for drinks before hockey game. Great selection of beer, local craft and domestic. Convenient location. Close to Market parking.

Everything was perfect they came to our table within 2 min with waters asking what we would like to drink We ordered a bottle of wine and was at our table within minutes.. We ordered a couple wraps one Athena wrap and a Asiago crispy chicken wrap both came with fries.. Both wraps were amazing and they fries as well Def recommend anyone to check this place out this is brantford downtown gem

Excellent atmosphere Just GO Food

This restaurant is okay, food is good however when you want to do a pick up order, they seem to not accommodate those. Ive never had a restaurant decline an order or opportunity to make money on customers not dining in. Ive also never seen more than one server when I dine in which is a shame. This restaurant is in a prime spot in Market Square, you would think the owner would want to capitalize on business. Again, not taking pick up orders, Ive never gotten from any other restaurant. They should really focus on changing that and how they deal with pick ups during prime business hours.

My favorite place to eat in Brantford spent a lovely afternoon here with my mother and she ran into an old co worker of hers who was currently on a road trip around Ontario, then spent my birthday here with my mother , my grandma and 3/4 of my sisters and had such a lovely lunch, love the atmosphere the interior design is wonderful aswell as the best food in Brantford! The standouts being the mozzarella wedges and cheese burger egg rolls! And their drink menu is killer! Anytime I have a date now I take them here, great atmosphere, great staff and great food so when a date goes horribly its not horrible at all so to speak

I wanted to go out for a quick bite and that s what I got! Food and drinks were brought out super quick. There was live music, I m not a huge fan but I know others would love that. The waitresses were very attentive and not overbearing. My server Tara was nice and caring :) I have to come back again to try more

Just had lunch there. Place not busy, but we waited an hour for our food. When it came, the wings were overcooked and dry, the wrap was charred, and the kids meal was so overcooked. Wont be going back

The restaurant has a good vibe and it was quite busy on family day. The food was decent except the butter chicken was super bland for me. Good place to hangout for a couple of beers in Brantford downtown.

Had the butter chicken dinner with rice and was disappointed. Although the flavour was as expected, it was dry; there was simply not enough sauce. I asked for extra sauce and was told it I couldnt have more because there was only a fixed amount available per dinner. The naan was also dry and lacked the oil that gives naan its characteristic flavour. Service was good. Food prices are reasonable.

had a team lunch and drinks took 40 minutes to arrive and an hour and a half for food. i was served 9 day expired chocolate milk UNBELIEVABLE. When brought to attention of the waitstaff they said they would be right back and never returned Food was ordered and never arrived, there was a hair on someone s fork Will not be returning. do not recommend coming here, it was not worth the mediocre food and bad service there was a good waiter though Parking: there was no parking.

Amazing food! Ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger, homemade and cooked to perfection. My spouse ordered the Erie Beach Fish and the perch was cooked perfectly. The batter is a bread crumb mixture, not your typical fish batter. Fries were hot and Caeser Salad was the best. Server was friendly and the environment was .

Service was ok, food was good. Only confusion was the Queso cheese sauce. Ordered the share platter with a side of Queso tasted like curry water. Not even a bit like cheese, or typical queso. Server said ya, its different. Would still recommend. Delicious food, great vibe.

Made a reservation. For some reason, we were not written down. Non the less, we were sat at a table promptly. Must say at this point, the sun was glaring in where we were sat. If you are across from the Sanderson centre and know there is a show on, as they did as it was written on their seating chart,should be staffed appropriately to keep up with demand. One hour waiting on food was ridiculous. You need to get that sorted. Our server was excellent.. on top of us. Food delay had nothing to do with her. Management needs to get it sorted so customers dont wait so long for food. I understand it is a big place with a small kitchen, but especially when a show is on across the road.. prepare better. You know its coming. Ps... grilled cheese and bacon sandwich tasted like fish. Was the bacon cooked in a fryer that was used for fish because it was so busy and easier to do it that way? Yes.. im a long time bartender / server. I watch . Server was excellent.

4 of us reservations for 6 on Saturday. We had a show at the Sanderson center for 8. You would think thats plenty of time to eat !!!??? Wrong ??? We had one drink each and were never offered a second until 7:15 and thats only because we had to ask where food was ???? We cancelled the majority of our order as there was no time to eat it. The waitress was oblivious that our order took a hour. The kitchen staff should be able to provide food in less than a hour !!!!! Waste of time and money !

One of the best places in Branford, its come a long way from the Piston Broke all those years ago. Its a bit more sleek and streamlined now, but very affordable and reasonable.

I ordered the honey BBQ chicken tenders with the waffle fries, and the portion was really disappointing for $21. Save yourself the $3 upcharge and skip the plain waffle fries. It wasnt very busy so the service was good and the atmosphere was nice. But I left feeling like I didnt get my moneys worth and most likely ever wont go back. My dads beer also had a thicker base to the glass, which gave a deceiving look that you were getting more than what you actually got.

I really disappointed with their service I went there for taking an order no one come for took my order and their behaviour also not tolerable they were so rude. I never ever go again there.

Sunday deals are unheard of this day and age. Top of the pops employees based on the 3 I met as well. Fantastic nice Sunday option if not everyday Im sure.

Hudsons pretty good place not a bar guy not a pub guy but I got to tell you Hudsons is pretty good. The service is awesome and the food was great no complaintsand nice smiles all around, the thats pretty good.

Poor service especially when not busy. Food came out cold Ordered my tacos at 245pm and ate them at 4pm 0 apology for cold food or any attempt to generate some sort of customer experience. The kids love it as its located on Market Square facing Momoko (Pokemon palace). The guy who we seem to get as our server a lot is awesome. He engages the kids, makes sure we are fed and watered well and will fix any issue quickly. It is hard to spend more than $100 (incl T&T) for 2 adults, 3 kids and a couple of pints.

The food was excellent, the prices were acceptable. The service however wasnt everything I had hoped for. Drinks were slow to arrive and while I had a great time I have higher hopes for my next visit.

I celebrated my birthday at Hudson s Friday September 1. A table for 4 was reserved. The food and service was fantastic. Had a great time. A special thanks to Sydney (Forgive me if misspelled) was just awesome. Always had her eye on our table. Great service. Thanks Ocean for setting up the reservation Much appreciated.

The only reason I gave this 2 stars was our server. She was pleasant, apologetic and tried her hardest. Unfortunately good service cant make up for a bad kitchen. There were 6 of us, we all ordered at the same time. The meals came out at various times, some were almost finished eating when the last meal was delivered (a burger and fries). Everything was overcooked to the point of being burned. The perch was hard and tasteless it had been cooked so long. The burger was badly overcooked as were the wings. They blamed it on being busy, not an excuse in my opinion. Dont take the reservations if you cant accommodate them.

The employees were obviously new and very lovely, there was no one with experience that was helping. It took over 30mins for drinks and over an hr till they remembered our food. A local guy had passed out face down in the sink of the mens room. When I tried to find someone to help, we found there were no responsible males around and I and another guest escorted the man out. I dont think it was fair on the young ladies to be in that position in a bar. Girls were great, management leaves alot to be desired, if it were my daughter left in that position, I would be absolutely furious.

Food is great and amazing, however service is brutally brutally slow, servers do not pay attention. Been here a dozen times, food has been perfect every time and only once has it been descent service, Friday 20 May 22, here again, and again the food is top notch, but yet again the service, is highly questionable, tall you blonde girl is totally oblivious to the small groups or single customers. I am normally a 20 - 25 % tipper, but tonight itll be nothing to the 3 gal bar staff. I had to ask for a refill on my beer and never got asked once if i wanted any more. Waited 10 minutes after i finished my meal and ended up asking for my bill. Kitchen staff will get my tip a they are the only ones whom deserve it!!! Wings, salad and 2 pint, $38.99, paid 40, went to the kitchen supervisor and gave him 20 to share with the kitchen staff!!

Gave this place a chance 3 times, but think I m finally done. Food has been amazing each and every time.. the service on the other hand has been terrible. Saw our server walking down the sidewalk outside when we had been sitting without drinks for over 10 minutes. Each time I ve went half our table gets their food then the other half sits empty handed until it s inquired about and at that time it comes out cold from sitting at the window. We got our food the one evening and had no cutlery or condiments until the bartender (not our server) noticed and brought it over. This same night we saw our server walking down the street outside (smoke break) when we had already been waiting with empty drinks for 10 minutes to order some to go with our meals. Ended up eating with no drinks, not even water on the table. The one time we had 3 couples at the table and when the bills were brought they were so wrong she literally had me write out each couples bill that include 2 meals a couple drinks each then it took her 20 minutes to return with everything properly divided. This place has an awesome atmosphere, awesome food and great drink selection, but they could use some new servers that care and know what they are doing. This would increase their success a ton, right now they are bound to fail in my eyes.

This place has potential to be great, but the food was decent, the service was mediocre and the drinks we awful. Our table ordered a couple of cocktails that hardly tasted as described. The fish tacos were incredibly overloaded with filling that its a challenge to eat them. And the service was decent until we asked for our change and the server never returned so we just assumed they were keeping it as a tip... I want to support local but Hudson Public is lacking in some critical areas.

Do not eat here! Only 2 waitresses on Saturday at lunch when our 6 arrived. Many families with kids, patrons of the theater, couples and singles, plus i counted 5 skip the dishes delivery guys. We had a reservation for a celebration, , still, we couldnt eat in the dining room but was forced into the bar. Our drinks took 20 min and our appetizers over an hour. Our food another 20 min, even, that almost all of us ordered the perch dinner.. that can be fried in the same basket and our fries too. There is nothing fancy here that would take long to make. One ordered a chicken wrap and received ground beef. Other had a burger and waited for her gravy and ketchup 20 min! The perch the worse I have ever had: Very thin, overfried, in Italian breadcrumbs?, the fries are small, the worst quality, and dried out. Green cabbage? In oil, served in a up only half full... no salt, no vinegar, no taste. The dessert on the menu doesnt even exists. I felt sorry for our waitress trying to take care of everyone. This place is going to close, because of staff shortage and poor quality food.

We arrived on a Saturday night around 10pm. Servers name was Ocean. She was amazing! Service was excellent! Very limited seafood options. Food portion is normal but thought 3-4 pieces of asparagus for a dinner meal isnt enough. Steak was cooked perfectly! Asparagus, mashed potatoes and steak were too salty (especially the steak). Great prices. Would definitely go back again though.

If you like cheap and bad food, this is the place! Worst Philly cheesesteak Ive ever had. Thin strips of processed beef in a thick, bland mayonnaise sauce. A sad pile of very stubby limp fries; soggy with gooey insides. I was starving so I choked down most of the sandwich but I left the sadness fries. The price was very reasonable! So come on down for a depressing, bad meal if youre looking for a cheap night out I guess. Maybe a place to break up with your partner, that kind of meal.

Good atmosphere, great server, food was lovely. Parking could be tricky depending on time because its smack downtown but there are lots of 2h free spots. Parking: 2 hour free parking, but its right downtown so I could see it being tricky to get one.

Great food and service. The live band was also good to listen to. Only comment was a few flies bothering us.

Just amazing food and the service was even better. We dont know our servers name but Purple Eyelashes was absolutely a great server. We will come back to Brantford just for this place.

My new go to watering hole. Friendly staff great daily specials. Including half price wings and drink specials. Great place to go with the family or a nice evening out to enjoy some live music. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options available Parking: No onsite parking but street parking is usually available. Also there is a municipal parking lot directly across the street.

This place is amazing. Wonderful regulars that are there all the time. Everyone makes you feel like family. They really do. Oh and an amazing young women named Ocean is over all the best waitress on staff. Very friendly always hustling and making sure everyone is taken care of. I was in town for work and felt so welcome by everyone almost makes me want to live here.

Hudson Public was very accommodating to our party of 25. We all met for lunch in the garage. That was a separate room for groups. Service was amazing. The servers were so patient with us as we were all getting our seats. Food was excellent! A great place to go in Brantford!

Enjoyed a nice lunch stop here today. As first timers we loved the environment. Nice private patio with options to overlook the Harmony Square. Servers were fantastic and just the right amount of attentiveness. Enjoyed only appetizers as there were so many options. I would strongly recommend the deep fried Gnocchi with gravy and curds. Such a great tasting twist on a poutine. We will definitely be back! Which is why we only chose 4 stars... we want to try actual meals to be able to score fairly. *** Update ... we have been back and even ordered online for take home. Sadly the last time we went 2 weeks ago, they have changed their menu. Food was okay, but not as good as the first time and extremely disappointed that they no longer have Deep Fried Gnocchi Poutine. Dropping rating to 3 stars. Cleanliness of bathrooms and dining area at 5 pm needed some help as well. Its sad because this place food and all was amazing during the pandemic.

We stopped by for a drink and shared a couple of appetizers. We tried the avocado egg rolls and Buffalo chicken wonton crisps. They were both excellent and the accompanying dips as well. The avacado egg rolls were huge. Great prices especially the drink specials. We will go back again.

It was our first time at Hudson Public and wouldnt be our last for sure. We happened to come when Laurier had an event in the other half of the restaurant so it was a little chaotic, on top of all the people out having dinner or catching dinner before going to Sanderson Centre for a show. Our waitress was friendly and checked up on us as she is able to given how busy it was. Due to the large volume of people, the restaurant was a little slow to get orders out. But all the food came out pipping hot. We had the fish and chips and found the portions to be quite generous. The beer battered fish was delicious, you can taste the beer. It was crispy and fluffy with just the right amount of batter. The fries were also crispy and well seasoned. The coleslaw was a little watery and not as creamy as expected, but still tasted delicious. The only thing I didnt like was the parchment paper between the tray and my hot food. I found that after a while, my food got stuck to the parchment paper and I ended up eating some of it. The pricing for the food is fairly reasonable for the quantity that you get. Good location for sure as its right in Harmony Square and within walkable distance to other stores and Sanderson Centre across the street. We happened to be there when there was live music playing, the guy on the guitar was pretty good.

Great atmosphere, great service, large portions of good food.

It was very busy, the waitress came by quickly to take our orders, brought our beverages promptly, our meal took a little while but we enjoyed our wine and the evening entertainment. The food was delicious and generous portions.

It was quite noisy when we took a seat to celebrate a graduation. But I enjoyed my food, and the prices are reasonable.

Very well priced, super delicious food and a great enviroment. Definitely a recommended place to try if your new to Brantford!

Amazing food and live music on Friday and Saturday nights

Not very many options for food . Fries were over cooked and hard same with the fish Staff was excellent about fixing it! Food : 3/5
