Our company Christmas party was catered by Mercasa and it was amazing. The food was fantastic and the service was awesome, 5 stars all the way!

Everything is delicious! Cant go wrong with the food here. Staff are excellent as well!

We came here for a simple taste testing for our wedding, we left as loyal customers who eat here once every other week religiously!

It is one of our favorite joints in town for some quick food and great focaccia. All staff I have interacted with are great and seem passionate about the food they make. The bakery they have partnered with make great desserts.

I had the misfortune of dining at Mercasa Little Italy Eatery & Catering last weekend, and it was an unmitigated disaster. The moment we walked in, the hostess seemed put off by our presence, and the lack of ambiance was palpable. The signature pizza I ordered was a soggy, flavorless mess. The crust tasted more like cardboard than freshly baked dough, and the toppings were anemic and uninspired. Needless to say, I wont be returning to Mercasa Little Italy Eatery & Catering anytime soon. Unless they seriously revamp their menu, service, and atmosphere, Id advise others to steer clear of this overhyped, underperforming eatery.

Not cheap but food is great

So happy to find this place. Brantford really needs it. The food is excellent you can tell the use and select fresh ingredients. I love the fact you can just order pick things up and find a table. You dont have to wait for someone to take your order or be seated at a table. I find their daily specials excellent. Been there several times Ive never been disappointed. PS make sure you check all the gelato its the best in the city. Excellent place for excellent place for small or medium sized meetings in the back room. Wonderful birthday dinner at Mercasa in the private dining room. The food was incredible and the entire team at Mercasa is just awesome. The space was really great for a private dinner. Really well appointed, beautiful marble tables for dining, fun stylish interior, and great options for displaying cakes, foods, presents, etc. we even brought our own board games. Our family had such a fun night! We absolutely loved it and will be back again. Dietary restrictions: We have vegetarians and vegans in our family that had lots of great options for food and the kids loved the desserts too. Kid-friendliness: A creative, fun space for kids and lots of room for our family event.

Most of all I want to express how lucky I feel to live so close to this high quality fresh thoughtful food and service ..this place is all of that and easily accessible with the cafeteria style house! The best by far! Great food, take out, eat in (Cafe style), or buy frozen meals. The ladies at the counter are always friendly and generous. If you dont want a full pizza, go in for a slice or a chicken parm. You wont be disappointed!

Today I ordered from Uber eats...chips were great, perfect on salt for me, maybe a touch of pepper or something to add flavor would have been nice , chicken parmo panini sandwich was great but there was no mozzarella cheese, though it was fresh bread. I have no complaints! The meal was satisfying and will definitely be ordering from them again. Perfect sandwich, I even enjoyed it more than the pizza I had last time

We bought an assortment of different items, including pizza, sandwiches, gelato etc. Everything was 10/10!, Amazing falvour and really nice staff. I will definitely be coming back and recommending Mercasas to friends and family!

decided to treat ourselves for friday night and get the fancy pizza from the fancy pizza place. ordered through skip. ended up missing half our order. all our drinks and dip. totaling $28. the pizza was under cooked. doughy in some spots and the cheese was not browned. chewy. cost a lot of money to eat out and this was a special treat so pretty annoyed about that. applied for a refund through skip. now i m stuck with this huge pizza that wasn t that good. it s so disappointing to spend the extra money to get something you think will be good and it s just a disappointment. next time will just get the ordinary pizza from the ordinary place.

Wowowowwow! 6 out of 5 stars! My first time trying this place and I am absolutely blown away. First, I was greeted by the loveliest lady (whom I later learned was named Carolina). She was so friendly and so passionate about the food here that I asked her if she was the owner!!! She was not, then I asked if shes related to the owner.. She also was not. She was so knowledgeable and friendly and excited about their dishes - I couldve swore she had a hand in the place. I proceeded to order the chicken parm sandwich combo after her rave reviews. When I say I was not prepared for the quality of this meal. Ooooof! The bread? Soft, melt in your mouth, decadent focaccia. The chicken parm? Beautifully made. Very yummy sauce. Even the Caesar salad was delicious. Fresh, real ingredients. The chocolate chip cookie, my gosh. Not needed by any means, I was absolutely stuffed - but had to try. It did not disappoint! I cant speak highly enough of this place and I will definitely be back. And to the owner, Carolina deserves a serious pat on the back. What a gem!

First ever visit . Meatballs are delicious and authentic tasting. Reminded me of my mom s. Chicken parm was nice.and the focaccia that came with our meal was light and flavourful. (Not at all greasy and heavy.) if I had one critique it would be that the food could be a little hotter. My daughter had the cappuccino gelato and it was Service was excellent. Will definitely return.

Order from here for our work lunches and get take out. Food is always on par, service is fantastic. Kris is always so helpful and very welcoming in whenever I walk in. It s always a good sign of an establishment when you see the owner there helping up. Tom, you have a wonderful team and excellent food! Can t wait for our next function.

To anyone reading this review just stop and go there. To anyone thats still here...... Go there geeze.. Anyone left still skeptical? Ok thats fine too this is by far the BEST pizza I have had in town. These pies are HUGE so prepare for that. The guy inside was awesome I dont know his name but hes been there from day one and was excellent. Informative and absolutely a great experience just chatting. Once we got the pizzas home and opened them up it was legendary. I mean that. LEGENDARY! An absolute must try. They also have a delicious looking hot lunch counter with sandwiches and so much more.

We recently celebrated my husbands 60th birthday here, and we can not say how much we all enjoyed the whole experience. From the food, service, and venue. Our friends and family from Oakville, Burlington, and Brantford said they havent had such wonderful Italian food. And most who came there were Italians. We have also enjoyed takeout from here as well over the years. We highly recommend Mercasa Little Italy Eatery & Catering Vegetarian options: We had ricotta and spinach lasagna, with fish and chicken cutlets, roasted potatoes and carrots as well as salad.

My wife and I ordered their potato pizza for pick up which was phenomenal. Enough for me to write a review. Very fresh and flavourful more of a thin focaccia style pizza. Great breaded style wings as well.

My son and I tried the review parm sandwich for the first time Saturday. Before Christmas we called brought it to their attention on Boxing Day respectfully. Theyre supposed to contact us with a resolution they neglected to do so I called for the second time today. The lady was very unpleasant. She didnt know what story to give. She was catching herself in numerous lies. As far as contacting the owner per se. Very disappointed poor management I will not be going back again

From having first few dates with my girlfriend at the time, to enjoying many fresh pizza slices, to sharing lunch together as a married couple now, Mercasa has been there for us from day one. Thank you to the friendly staff that always greet us with a smile and to the chefs that prepare such fresh food with the freshest ingredients! I usually get a slice of Buffon, or the fig and prosciutto. Best ones in my opinion! And also I indulge in the chicken parm sangweeech that s so big!! Always get it on the focaccia bread it s the best one.

Mercasa catered our medium sized wedding and could not recommend a better service. Tom was so easy to work with and communicated regularly leading up to the event. Everything looked and tasted amazing and guest loved it and praised how efficient it was. The staff helping serve were so lovely and polite. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and service!

This is the best pizza I ve had in 45 years! Since Dufferin St in Toronto. The crust is crispy and top notch. The sauce has a wonderful tomato taste and the mozzarella cheese is definitely high quality. This place is for sure a 10 out 10. I also tried an arancini rice ball which was very good. Today was a good day . If you are really lucky you ll get to meet Nicole- such a sweet young lady.

Ordered from Mercasa on the weekend. Calzone, meatball sliders, and butter tarts. Very satisfied. Their bread is excellent. Good portion sizes and flavorful. Butter tarts flakey and rich. I was impressed with how well the food travelled as it is on the other side of the city. Will have to dine in at some point to get the full experience. Coming from another city that has more options in this category than Brantford, Mercasa was a refreshing option and reminiscent of some really great/quality spots we used to frequent. Would recommend and definitely eating from here again.

Had my daughters bridal shower catered. Delicious variety of Roman pizzas and antipasto board. Delicious, beautiful presentation and flavour. Tom is very professional and the process couldnt have been easier. Everything I wanted and we loved it as did our guests!! Highly recommend

This is an excellent restaurant. Just tried for the first time for takeout and we were very impressed. The taste, the quality, the amount of food and the reasonable price. One of the best restaurants in Brantford. Coming from Windsor, I have missed having really good pizza. Mercasa is the best pizza I ve had in Brantford. Along with other menu items calzones, gnocchi, panini s are among the great choices they have.

We hired Mercasa for our wedding this past August and we could not be happier with the decision! They did an amazing job! Tom and his crew were so professional, their service was impeccable. The food was a hit! Everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about it for weeks after, we are still getting compliments on it. Were so happy we went with them. As particular as my wife can be, Tom made the whole process easy and enjoyable when it could have otherwise been stressful. We would recommend Meracasa for any event you are thinking about hosting. They are an outstanding caterer!

Outstanding in every possible way. Had the opportunity to host our daughter s baptism here and everything was top notch. Guests are still complimenting the food weeks later. Great food but be aware when ordering delivery you will think online you are paying a tip (as it is worded) but the driver doesn t get this, so we basically tipped twice. Not cool. Full disclosure of it being a delivery fee online would be more transparent.

I m visiting Brantford and was craving some Italian pasta and I was so excited to find this place. Very welcoming and friendly staff. I love the options and everyday the featured pasta is different. The weekends is always lasagna meat and veggie options. I tried the bolognese lasagna, chicken parmigiana, spicy pork, sautéed carrots and potatoes and focaccia. ALL very tasty!!! Oh and I tried the homemade chips, which was also very good. As a bonus I received some desserts to try and I really appreciated that you guys did that for me. Thank you for that nice surprise! Overall such a great experience. I highly recommend everyone to dine here. Thank you again so much! I ll be back soon :)

I am pleased to say that the owner responded to my review and has asked we give it another try and to seek him out. My hubby and I will do so in the near future. Thank you Mr owner (dont know your name). We went yo Mecasa today for the first time using their promo of buy 1 panini get one free. Was supposed to come with home made chips. Did not get that. Paninis were served cold And ask about warming up and said no and no grill press. No prices published. Panini expensive. Food was tasty but would have been much better served warm. I found the girl a little curt. Will not go back.

Great food. Taste was awesome. Portions for lasagna a tad low given the price but so very tasty. Pizza slice was great (Canad-Eh?) and Tateed grea. Much better than most slices Ive had in nearl ten years in Toronto! Thats five years at Yonge and Finch and another five years at Yonge & Bloor. Line 1 all the way folx! Anyhow, go Brantford! First and last time will we go there food was great until we noticed dog hair on the plate and turned our stomach. They offered to give us something to eat which after that experience I won t eat anything from there again would have rather been offered my money back considering how pricey the meal was!!!!

There was a small private party going on when we got there. We were told we could still dine in. We were made to feel very uncomfortable. They claimed to have gluten free food but would not make it because they were too busy. Paid $8 for a handful of overdressed salad. Won t go back. Dietary restrictions: Said they had gluten free but were too busy to make it.

Meh Heard good things, all I got was highly over priced pizza, nothing special. Very similar to Little Caesars but 5x the price. While waiting for our pizza, noticed the manager/owner?¿ yelling at his staff and barking orders cause the oven was beeping for ten seconds straight. As a parent, I would hope for my children not to work for such a self entitlement manager. If I could give a negative review, I would.

They dont answer the phone to take orders. Was instructed to place order on line. Did so. Got there and they had no record. Over an hour wait if we wanted to order there. Walked out

The pizzas here are unique and flavourful. Amazing dough with a perfect crisp on the outside while warm soft on the inside delivering a super fresh taste. Looking forward to trying some of their other menu items

I moved from Georgetown to Brantford and been of Italian heritage, one of my first priority was to find, if possible a good Italian Eatery in Brantford. After months of looking and asking neighbors if they new or could recommend such an eatery, I was met no success. I finally did a Google search, and I was rewarded with two Brantford locations, Zazas and Mercasa. It took me a while. Ive yet to experience Zazas, but I have become addicted and I am now regular customer at Mercasa. Whether your try my favorites, such as the meatball panino, veal panino, chicken panino, the house salad, chocolate gelato, house made potato chips and accompanied with either the focaccia or ciabatta bread always bring me back to my mothers cooking. You wont be disappointed.

Tom catered our wedding and the food was fantastic! We heard so many positive reviews from the guests, the quality far surpassed our expectations. Tom was also really flexible leading up to the wedding and offered a variety of options for food and desserts in different price ranges. Tom was so comfortable and reassuring leading up to the wedding which really helped reduce my stress as well. You can tell how passionate Tom is about food, and making sure his guests are happy. I would happily and highly recommend Mercasa catering!

Do you like Italian fare? If so then you should try eating at Mercasa! We ordered a little bit of everything not realizing that our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We ordered Chicken Parm and Pasta, Meatball Sliders, Arancini balls and I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich that I ate before I had a chance to get a photo. Lets be honest I may have inhaled it I ate it so fast. Everything was high quality and super flavorful. Highly recommended!

We were in Brantford for a hockey tournament, and I had noticed Mercasa from the road. We were looking for a team dinner for 40 of us and lucky for us the party room was available. Owner/Chef Tom worked with me to plan a menu and was great to deal with. The guests arrived at 6:30 and our food was freshly prepared and promptly out at that time. Everyone in the party commented how delicious everything was. The Family meal deals also looked amazing. Thanks again for a great experience!!

Everything was COLD! Veggies looked like they were sitting in the tin for 6 hours all mush. Chicken Parm was ice cold. Overpriced for what you get. We will never be back.

If you have any event large or small Mercasa is a must! I had a get together catered by Mercasa and everything was exceptional! The Charcuterie looked like something from a magazine with high quality products Thank you to Tom and staff who made everything perfect. We have tried Mercasa for take-out and catering and each time we have been very happy with the quality of the food and the friendly client service. Mercasa is our go-to Italian place in Brantford.

Pizza slice and veal on a bun food was engh. Bread good Rice balls good. Portuguese tarts decent, barely any jam on top though. And to top it off the 4 chuckleheads working up front never opened or held the door for my lady(wife) For the prices a return trip is unlikely !!!

While the arancini was good, so was the bread. The pizza actually had no flavour, I thought the Patata with garlic, spicy prosciutto, caramelized onions, potato and Mike Hot honey, would be loaded with flavour, lacked flavour and toppings. Veal was tough. Husband said the chips were just greasy, oil not likely hot enough. While one comment in our house is the lasagna needs 3 times the meat, but lots of tender noodles, lacking meat. But I really I think the service was lacking. I was told they couldnt hold a piece of lasagna for me originally - I said Im placing an order for pick up now,, well its first come, first serve, but they did hold it. Owner I believe standing talking to someone, younger worker talking to the guy at the register. No prices listed - which is very strange. But standing around talking and not even saying hello to people isnt good business. I spent almost $90 plus I tipped. As soon as I started to pay the girl walked away The amount my bill came to, I was walking out with arms full and a hot loaf of bread under my arm and not one of the 4 guys even offered to open the door. Just talking oblivious to good customer service. Sorry but everyone was just a robot or standing talking, first time there, impressions matter. Which makes me think that they dont care about customers.

We used Mercasa to cater our wedding and to say they were amazing is an understatement. I didnt know it was possible to cook food that good for so many people. My guest wanted to drink the piri piri sauce with a straw! The antipasto board Tom and the team made came out of a dream. 2 months later and my guest still talk about it like it was yesterday. I would reccomend Tom and his team to cater any event you will not be disappointed and anytime Im in the area I stop by the resturant for some food and say Hi to everyone. Edit: I would also like to add how friendly and professional Tom and his team were. It is refreshing when people like their jobs because it really translates to great service. Keep up the great work

So good! Long drive from the states with London being our final destination. Everyone was hungry so looked on maps and found this place. It was delicious! The focaccia bread is heavenly!!! I had the CR special (pork bifana type sandwich), and it was so good! I m a slow eater so everyone else in the family tasted my sandwich and wanted more. Service was friendly and ok with the fact that we arrived so close to closing time. They had already cleaned and had no issues with us eating in (we opted to eat outside). The bread was so good we went back in after eating to see if there was another restaurant in London. (Nope - this is the only one). We bought an extra focaccia and had a conversation with the owner who was super nice. If we are ever in the neighborhood again, we will definitely stop by! They do catering too

As soon as I walked in, i fell in love with the ambiance and the decor. The homemade, all beef, melt in your mouth meatballs were exceptional and the pizza was by far the best we have had in a long time. The servers were very hospitable and made sure our needs were met. The owner, Tom took the time to chat with us about his passion for food and service. You can tell his heart goes into every recipe. This Italian Eatery is a must try.

Tom and his team catered my backyard wedding yesterday, and the food was SO TASTY and the service was amazing! Everyone was so happy with everything. I would 100% recommend them to cater your event! They made the night so much better!

Mercasa catered our micro wedding on the weekend and we could not be happier! We did a cocktail style party with all different appetizers coming around all night. Tom was amazing and so accommodating from the start. Liam, our server was incredible and the perfect addition to our wedding! The food was delicious and all of my guests left full, happy and with leftovers! We would highly recommend using Mercasa for any parties we will absolutely be using them again! Thank you Mercasa!

Tom and his team catered our wedding and there are not enough amazing words to say about them! First, he made my dream come true of having a Prosecco cart! The Prosecco ladies killed it and everyone was raving about it :) Second, THE FOOD!!! Omg the food! We met with Tom prior to talk menu and did he ever elevate it! The Cornish hen was delicious, the heirloom carrots were soo good and the dauphinois potatoes .I still have guests talking about those potatoes! People were messaging me saying they were dreaming about them!! Haha and the NY style cheesecake was sooo good! Then comes the midnight PIZZA buffet! I don t think we had any left! That was the icing on our wedding day cake THANK YOU TOM and your entire staff/team for making our wedding day so memorable and delicious!!

Fantastic meal and great staff. Had spicy pork sandwich (huge) and home made chips. Sandwich was one of the best hot sandwiches I have ever had.

Their pizza and their chicken parm panino is always a hit! I recommend getting the foccacia bread option if you decide to go with the chicken parm panino. Its a great way to make your day a little brighter and the customer service is always quick and friendly!

I can not believe that anyone likes this place..... I spent over $60 on a meal for myself and one other person and had to throw it out never again..... you would be better off ordering pizza from dollarama

Having only just recently moved to Paris I was in search of somewhere that offered a charcuterie/antipasto spread that I could bring over to a friends house. I stumbled across Mercasa online and ordered 2 of the Antipasto for two. Tom put together an amazing antipasto box for 4 people and even threw in an added box of fresh pizza bread. Everything was so fresh, so tasty and beautifully presented and everyone commented on how good it all was. Will definitely order from this place again and I hope to try their restaurant in the near future. Thank you Tom.
