Amazing place in Brantford. I even love the vegan options. Especially the Padthai. Good place for vibing. Company events..and gatherings... Vegetarian options: Padthai

Smoked Brisket - was half decent , the other half big portion of fat . Not so tasty . I tried the cookies with peanuts , the dessert was okay wish there was ice cream as it was to dry Food

Great food and they have a gluten free menu with pretty much all of the items that are on the regular menu. Only a dollar or 2 upcharge for the GF version and it tastes the same. Good atmosphere with a high top bar and plenty of booths/tables to choose from

Generally, not the type of eatery I would gravitate to however I had little time and was very hungry. The gentleman that served me was exceptional. I asked his name but regrettably I don t recall. My food was very good and I would order it again however I choose not to dine in an atmosphere that is this loud. But that s on me because this is what this place is about. Recommended.

I ve been here 5+ times since moving to Brantford from Toronto. Similar atmosphere but all around better than a Jack Astors. Service has been hit or miss and the person I spoke with when ordering takeout was a bit confused. Probably would only dine in from now on but food is consistently good.

First time there for my wife s 65th birthday. I ordered the brisket sandwich. Tough as hell. Next time when we hand family in town and they wanted to go there. I had the steak sandwich. Was good but very tough also. Everyone said the fish and chips were good. Sorry can not recommend your place for a beef dinner.

Unfortunately, this location has gone downhill so fast. Sat here for 15 minutes at a table without even getting asked if I would like a glass of water, Walked out and didn t order anything. Told the hostess that no one came to take my order and she said OK! There was literally six people in the restaurant and they couldn t serve our table, which is pretty crazy. I would avoid this place at all cost unless you want slow, crappy service. Super unprofessional, I will be contacting management.

Our party all enjoyed our visit here. The food was a bit on the expensive side, but it was VERY good. Myself and and another thought the Pad Thai was first rate. My wife got the chicken Mac and cheese and loved it. Would definitely eat here again.

Our family came for a meal and were impressed by the food and service. We all enjoyed our meals, and our server was very friendly and attentive. The manager went out of his way to make our kids welcome. He knew they were interested in the Photo Booth and offered them a complimentary visit. It made their day!

The food was ok. We ordered nachos. They served salty chips. The cheese is not the soft melt type. The burger was not that awesome. We hardly ate the nachos and we didn t finish the burger. The tomato soup was ok. But RUTH was awesome!!! She has excellent CS! If ever we go back, it s because of the excellent service of Ruth!

Kudos all around for this socialable restaurant. Katie, our server/culinary guide, was the epitome of hospitality and service as we navigated the impressive food and drink menus. Five stars to the kitchen staff, which confidently and creatively prepares scratch-made food. The Pad Thai was an artistic and addictive blend of flavors and textures. The Cobb salad was impressive, with super fresh ingredients. Our wine and cocktail were excellent as well. If we lived in the area, wed eat here regularly. Five Stars!

We used to love this place.. It was a great and reliable date night or family meal option. The service has always been fantastic and we really like the atmosphere. However, at our last couple visits the food has been severely disappointing. Some of our favorites have been removed from the menu, which is to be expected as restaurants try to keep things fresh and interesting. However dinners choices that have been fantastic in the past have become dry and tasteless. Our last visit we ordered the southern fried chicken, it was beautifully cooked, juicy, and more chicken than one person could eat. The dill pickle potato salad was fantastic. This time? The chicken was overcooked, a much smaller portion, most of it was hard crunchy batter bits and not much chicken. The dill pickle salad was bland and tasteless. On a previous visit we did the brisket dinner, it was dry and tough, barely edible, I left most of it on the plate. Im not sure if we happened to catch the chefs on a bad day... but we feel the care and quality control has gone downhill. Weve discussed it with folks sitting in adjacent tables and the opinion seems the same there as well. Its a 40 minute drive for us to get there.. Im not sure its worth the trouble or the risk to try them again. I truly hope they improve and get back to how they used to be! But perhaps there just isnt enough competition in the area to keep standards high.

I absolutely love this place. We found it by accident when we were staying in an Airbnb in Brantford. Now we live in Ancaster and we try to go every weekend. Dogs are allowed on the patio, so thats a great advantage. They serve the most amazing food - I had their tuna bowl and my son loves their burger. The service is always terrific. We will come here again + the patio we sat on was small with only 6 tables so we can only guess they fill quick + lunch was fabulous and our server Katie was so kind and knowledgeable + Houston the new manager made us all feel at home and was around at the times when we needed anything + their food is very good and plenty of selections unlike most of the other options here in town + Houston at the end gave us his card and we will be back to try the trifecta dessert

Good food. Tons of vegan and vegetarian options. The staff of nice. Only issue is it can get crazy busy. But that happens when the food is good. Parking is a bit of a shot show so just be prepared for it. Vegetarian options: There is a whole veg friendly menu. The veggie burger is my personal fav. It s a proper burger and super filling.

As its mainly a tavern (bar) they dont have an extensive menu. The atmosphere was like any other bar. The server was great, the food was good. Id go again. Parking: Plenty of parking on a weekday.

Was disappointed with the Southern Fried Chicken. Expected a chicken thigh with a simple fried coating but they were just fancy chicken fingers with a lot of extra buttermilk breading covering not a lot of chicken. It made me look like I ordered off a kids menu! Lol. The taste was ok, but menu is deceiving. The potato salad was good but could have used just a little more dill to give it an extra tang. Regardless, I d go back again but wouldn t order the same again. Waitstaff were attentive and atmosphere relaxed.

ordered food for pick up as my boyfriend just got admitted to the hospital while I was there waiting I broke down in tears and the staff offered to carry out my food and were so nice and comforting even gave me a brownie. Wonton nachos and french fries/truffle parm fries were delicious; overall the main dishes were fine but the brisket was dry even with sauce. It took a minute to get us seated and we were the only table on one side of the restaurant. Server was fine. There were also several flies circling around us which was annoying. Sociable is our go to in Brantford. Great menu with tonnes of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Also yea meat fried chicken is pretty killer. Beer section is amazing and always rotating. Great looking place too love the vibe.

Our first time in Brantford and we picked an awesome restaurant. The wanton nachos were ridiculous. Im not sure I can eat nachos any other way now. I had the brisket burger with truffle fries and my husband had the turkey burger. Both were delicious. Our waiter was so friendly. If were ever back in Brantford we are for sure going back here.

I just had the best time of my life here for my birthday. The service 100% the FOOD!!! 1000% I asked my server Jodie (literally a sweetheart) to give my husband and I her favourite items on the menu and we were left speechless. I had a great time here for a friends bachelor party. We were a party of 12 with plenty of appetizer, drink, and food orders. The appetizers were really great (the warm pretzels!), as was the food (the spicy chicken sandwich was unreal!!!). The service was also fantastic, quick to take our orders, bring refills, new beers, etc. Our food came out on time, altogether, warm and delicious. Highly recommended.

I come here often for food and having a good time with friends and family. The food is mediocre but the severs are always funny, good, and have great taste in food and drinks. The Atmosphere is awesome with lots of tvs and good music.

Food was decent. Server was very nice. When I ordered my food, I let the server know that I have an allergy to blue cheese (anaphylaxis). The burger I ordered didn t come with it on it but I always like to let the restaurant know when I go because of how serious it is. A while later a man brings out our food. I find out later his name is Houston. He is the redeeming part of this experience. He was great! He set my plate down and looked at my burger and asked me to take the bun off as he thought he saw blue cheese. I did and he said oh okay it s just the dressing, not blue cheese. He left and I turned my plate around to see the other side and, sure enough, there WAS blue cheese! He was on it, he was already running back to our table to tell me not to eat it before I could even call him over. He was great and he was very apologetic and he took over our table for the rest of our stay it seemed. Our original server came back later saying that they blamed her of entering it in wrong but that she didn t enter it wrong. I have no idea how it happened or who did what, but if you work in a restaurant, PLEASE take it seriously and make sure you are careful when someone tells you they have a food allergy that can cause anaphylaxis.

After a couple of recent bumps we came to try sociable again and Im happy to say its back to its best. Mike and Rebecca (management) were awesome and looked after us, pad Thai and wonton nachos were excellent as always. Also they had our favorite beer (Meuse) which was a bonus. Will definitely return.

Interesting tasty food, as well as a good variety of beer. Our server was super patient, and kind. Definitely worth returning regularly since when I went their seasonal easter lamb burger was delicious. Also, big hats off to whoever is cleaning the space because it was spotless. Just insanely clean. Well done.

Went for lunch and food came relatively quick. Great atmosphere, they have a restaurant and bar and did a great job blending the two together. The brisket sandwich was incredible but could use a little more meat. The chicken sandwich looked huge and others said it was delicious.

The hostess was so helpful today Monday at 6 pm. We had dinner and left, and then I realized I had forgotten my brace. We went back 20 min and no one could find it. The hostess went out of her way, in a very busy day, to help me look and she found it. So very grateful!! Also the restaurant has very cool vibe and great food.

Good meal for your dollar

I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken had to be one of the best fried chicken Ive had in a long time but they absolutely fell short with the waffles. They were as dense as a hockey puck! My girlfriend refused to let me send it back but if I was with my friends I definitely would of. Other than that were seated really quickly waitress was great made sure I had water in my cup and made sure everything was alright even though it wasnt.

The food was delicious, my son took our family out for my birthday. My daughter and I are vegan, and I was impressed with the variety they had for vegan options. My hubby and my son had non vegan meals, and there were a lot of options for them as well. Food is always good at Sociable, and the service was great. I highly recommend Sociable. Dietary restrictions: I am vegan and Sociable has a lit of vegan options. I wish more restaurants would have more vegan options but unfortunately it is not so. Thank you Sociable.

Very impressive. My wife and I recently dined at this restaurant, and found it to be a very outstanding experience. Having recently been diagnosed with celiac I have found it quite challenging to find restaurants that have gluten free offerings not to mention the GF food that is offered is actually tasty. From the very start when we waited at the bar area for a table I was surprised to learn they had gluten Free beer. After we were taken to our table I was overwhelmed with the fact that apart from the normal menu they also provided a GF menu of its own. The food was extremely good and the attention given to us making sure everything was ok certainly did not go unnoticed. We have since been back and the service was duplicated. Many restaurants still offer very little Gluten Free Options, Including the large local steak chain ( Not even a gluten free bun offering) to have a Prime Rib sandwich. Sociable s however are certainly keeping up with the current customer needs. The service at Sociable s is definitely atypical and much appreciated. Had an amazing time from start to finish, Showed up around 7 and the place was very busy. We had no reservations but that wasnt a problem got seated very quickly. We had our food on our table in under 20 minutes and the food was spectacular. We had mentioned to our server that it was our first date night out after having a baby and they surprised us with a brownie and ice cream at the end! The whole entire staff was a bunch of very hard workers that cared about there jobs it really showed! I would recommend everyone to come eat here and will deffenitley be back! Thanks for such a great experience!

Love the gravy was told its housemade using drippings from their brisket. Pretzel and dip appetizer is to die for! I keep the sauce and dip my fries in after too. Love it! This place does everything in house right down to their own ketchup. A tad more expensive that other similar places in the area but definitely worth it to not get food out of a box or can or bag! Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free menu that is great.

This is the second time we have eaten here for brunch and both times have been a great experience. The staff are friendly, the food is awesome and the restaurant is very clean and well kept. We dont drink but there was a variety of options for beverages that looked delicious. I had the chicken and waffles and it was a great choice. Cooked perfectly and tasted phenomenal

Great place to go with food sensitivities, they always go above and beyond to accommodate mine every time. Staff are friendly and helpful and the beer selection is great. My only complaints are that the music is all over the place and the parking is terrible, and the bartender tends to overdo it on the perfume (but again, I have multiple sensitivities). Dietary restrictions: Havent found a restriction they couldnt accommodate - good plant based menu and gluten free options, and very flexible.

Nice change from your standard bar/restaurant food. I had the Wonton Nachos with tuna. What a nice change from the regular nachos! We were there for lunch during the Christmas break and had kids with us. It wasnt very busy, which was great as we didnt have to yell to hear each other. Our server didnt check in with us to see if we needed anything else and had to flag someone else to get more drinks, but otherwise, it was an enjoyable experience for our first time. Will probably return at a later date.
