Would have given this place 0 star if I could. Honestly the service is so slow that other customers where telling us about the horrible reviews, as we waited for our food. DONT COME HERE.!! We had to ask for a server and then go asl for the server to do their job 6 times.

the food is great, but we came on a saturday evening just to get some dinner and we come in. we ordered and it took them 40-1 hour of waiting just for the food to come? Shouldn t be this long for just food. Other people were waiting just as long as us! Not great service.

First time we ordered from the Brantford Swiss Chalet the dinner was missing the stuffing. The second time we ordered (festive double leg dinners) one was missing the bun and the other was a Single leg dinner. All discovered after we picked it up and brought it home. If there is a next time, I won t spare the staff the humility of dissecting my dinner, that I paid my hard earned money for in front of them. While I was waiting. I had the pleasure of observing two people whose orders were completely mixed up. One debacle can be forgivable, Two and beyond is a trend. If there is a third return, there will be an expectation of flawed quality. Swiss chalet was once a highly regarded restaurant, There s a certain nostalgia to it. Now It s been reduced Walmart of restaurants. Especially the Brantford branch. When we get better service through a McDonald s drive-through window, and they would get the whole dinner that they paid for. I still think there s a certain nostalgia Swiss chalet, but not the Brantford Restaurant. It is run by people who Excel in incompetence And a severe lack of Pride for their work. But this is just my personal opinion based off my dual experience with this particular restaurant The Staff in its employ Who the client wanting.

Waited over 40mins in the drive thru for a single meal! It was only when I asked for a refund that I was told my meal was ready and was offered a free pop. By the time I got home everything was ice cold and unappealing so I threw most of it in the trash. I only get Swiss Chalet once a year around the holidays, but I was super disappointed and definitely would never go back.

I ordered online before 5 pm. It said my order would be ready at 5:39. I arrived around 5:45 and it wasnt ready until quarter after 6:00. I ordered ahead as I live 25 mins away and had groceries in the car. When I got home, the fries were almost raw and my husband said his ribs were overcooked. This is very disappointing as it cost almost $100 for my let down. Not sure we will be back to this location.

Really wish this wasnt the only location in Brantford. I ordered a large fries for myself and my partner, along with some mini doughnuts. The fries were definitely old and had been sitting around. Theyd cooled to the point where they were starting to go solid and dry. The large box was just about half full, and the doughnuts were over done and just crunchy and greasy, no fluffy inside. Our last visit we ordered a quarter chicken and burger meal and both of us got minor food poisoning from it. So, I dont know if well go back again after 2 bad experiences...

The appetizer was cold when it arrived took long time for food to arrive.

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years but for the last few years things have changed. The portions have been getting smaller and the prices have been going up. We went tonite for dinner Oct 3 for the Thanksgiving special well it was outrageous the potatoes and stuffing were cold the dark chicken was so small I couldnt even tell where the leg was and the white dinner portion which I might add was $2 more was smaller than the potatoes. You know it would be nice if you went back to the way it used to be when you actually got what you paid for. Of course I doubt that is ever gonna happen anytime soon because I think you have forgotten that the customer is what is important not the almighty dollar. But then again that seems to be all you do care about MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!in your pockets definitely not the hard working people that come into your establishment. Such a shame. Wont be back.

It was super busy when I went. We were seated fairly fast, but nobody came to the table for at least 10-15 minutes. They didnt refill drinks or come by until the food was ready.

We ordered on September 11 and our delivery took 2:15 mins the food especially fries were not edible and their tracking app was awful They selected it was out for delivery an hour before they even had a driver. So today we ordered again thinking it was a fluke it s been 1:30 minutes so far and no sign of a delivery on their app this is awful our kids are going to have to go to sleep so the food was a waste. Here is my order number 20240928 1771053 you guys need to be better I shouldn t have to contact customer service after 2 hours

Management here really needs to address the drive through. What is the point of getting drive through when every time I go, I wait at least 20 minutes for food. I don t think they start preparing food until after you pay, so you already spend about 10 minutes after you order, then you wait another 10-20 minutes on average.

I ordered 2 thanksgiving double leg meals from their menu. Scheduled the order for pick up at 5.20 pm on 10/13. I get there and there was a long line up of people like me waiting. They were behind on orders. They said 15-20 mins however, everyones wait was atleast 40 mins. I got mine at 6.05 pm. All customers were patiently waiting despite the delays. Unfortuntely, the food was terrible. The chicken was terrible. It was a tad undercooked and did not have the usual flavor.The seasoned rice was raw and not edible. I had throw the chicken in the air fryer to cook it some more. The cranberry sauce that was supposed to be there wasnt. I know Swiss chalet food and this was not the standard. The location should have had a cap on orders. They clearly cld not handle all the orders. Despite all the delays, the dining, drive thru were all open and they were still accepting orders. The staff were keeping their cool and working away. Kudos to them for their effort. However, management shld have planned ahead. I spent $50 on the meals an it was a dissapointment. Defintielt ruined our dinner.

I met some friends here for lunch today - our server, Joe, was polite, friendly and efficient and the food was great - the franchise owners, Maria and her husband, and staff went out of their way to assist and take care of a gentleman having major issues with his electric wheelchair outside the restaurant . Just reopened after renovations, looks really nice Food was what you expect from Swiss Chalet, it was good. I am baffled, we often buy a bottle of wine with dinner out. Swiss Chalet will not allow you to take the leftover wine home. That is the first time thats ever happened. We were not told until after it was opened and poured. Its almost encouraging drinking and driving. We had to drink it or pour it down the drain

Went for lunch with my 2 small children and mother this afternoon and had the pleasure of meeting Joe! Joe made our dining a 12/10 experience, he was very accommodating to my 2 small children , engaging with them and even making them laugh! He was very knowledgeable and made sure our glasses were never empty! We were stuck in a table with a pot light flashing on off over our heads. Zero atmosphere. No Coors light last visit. Given this location a dozen chances, we are done here.

We have been avoiding the Brantford Swiss Chalet because we felt the service was not good. But after about 3 years we tried it again. We were pleasantly surprised by the service provided by Natalie! The food was good and the restaurant was clean and very pleasant. We had a very tasty lunch in a relaxed environment. Thanks Natalie.

My friend and I went at like 1:00 because we were both busy in the evening and both of us are a little socially inept so when we went at this time it was great. Very few people around and so because of that we had a better time. Wheelchair accessibility: I had a walker but I also saw another customer had a wheelchair and they both of us were accommodated very politely and with respect. The entire building is flat, no stairs and plenty of tables to be sat at instead of the booths.

Normally good, went in around 8:30. Order was taken. Ordered stir fry and pot pie. Waitress come back, they were out of rice. Re Ordered. Waitress came back again said pot pie would take 20 minutes. Said ok we will wait. 45 minutes later our food comes, my daughters poutine was cold. Then never noticed until today, they still charged me for the stir fry. Will be visiting another location next time we want swiss chalet

Do not get those cinnamon sugar doughnuts. Worst thing Ive ever had here. They were dry and tasted like they were soaked in oil. Definitely hit and miss with quality. Sometimes the chicken is dry. Green beans are often old (ends are yellow and shriveled) Vegetables are often spoiled. Broccoli has black bits and cauliflower has brown/black spots. Weve just thrown them out. Ive ordered from here a lot but less so because the quality isnt consistent.

Great place to stop on our way through town. Denise was a fantastic server. We spit a Caesar salad to start, followed by piping hot fries and juicy chicken, served with our favourite steaming hot chalet sauce. Denise was friendly and attentive. Thanks Denise for making us feel welcome.

My husband daughter and I decided to visit Swiss chalet in Brantford today. Unfortunately we were disappointed when we were seated at a dirty table. After being seated we waited close to 10 minutes before our server came to take our drink order. We ordered the garlic cheese bread for an appetizer which came back the cheese still not fully melted and cold in the middle. My husband and I ordered ribs and chicken. The ribs weren t great and in my opinion tasted freezer burnt or old. My husbands chicken was dry. Our server however was nice. With that being said we won t be going back to Swiss chalet again.

The food was awesome, but the waitress was not the greatest. She never returned to check on drinks. We ordered our food, and everyone around that came in after us got their food before we did. When asked about a seniors discounts, she snapped back . We dont do that here. When we asked for a receipt, she told us she could not get us one. We did get one after we went to the front and asked for one. We have gone to other Swias Chalets where they offered seniors discounts. We usually have great service. However, this waitress definitely spoiled it for us. Dietary restrictions: They serve a variety of food including salads and you can change things up for healthier options.

I used to work as a waiter at Swiss Chalet and I still enjoy their food. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with fries. When they brought the meal, the small cup containing the chalet sauce was only half filled. I recall this being unacceptable when I worked for the restaurant. I asked for more... and was later dismayed to find that I was charged a dollar for extra sauce. This was never a thing before. Apparently this is a new policy. If this is the case, please tell your servers not half-fill it.... lest it appears to be some sort of underhanded cash grab.

Average food, as one would expect. The Tuesday special of 2 quarter chicken dinners for 19.99 is good value; the white meat portion was very generous (also costs an extra $2), the dark meat portion size was meagre... disappointing. We shared a Caesar salad and it was very good. Service was prompt and friendly. Food delivery time was good.

Was seated at a table with my wife and waited several minutes for a server to take our order but the servers just kept walking by and serving families that arrived after we did. After waiting several minutes we had to leave and on our way out the hostess looked at us and never said a word as she was sitting with other guests. Never again.
