Taste of Jamaican’s Kitchen offers a variety Caribbean dishes. From seafood the best authentic jerk, including drinks and side salads.
Food was good the fried chicken was crispy and juice and the bbq chicken was juicy but I ordered a fried plantain and got 4 burnt pieces unacceptable that this was sold to me.
Tried this place on a whim because I wanted something different but locally owned. It was SO good! We got the jerk chicken and curried goat, both were bone in which is not my preference however that will not deter me from ordering again. It came on a bed of rice and beans that was so tasty and had a hint of coconut. I asked the woman working what her favorite is, and she reccomends their fish so we will have to try that next.
Salt Cod fish fritters like my grandma used to make. So far my very best Caribbean food experience. Really authentic Jamaican food.
Great place to eat! I love their soups and their lunch specials! They cook the best Jerk Chicken I have had in a while!
Service was friendly and quick. Portions are good size. Food taste great. Especially the comfort soup. Open till 8pm is nice.
A must go Jamaican restaurant. If you live in the area or ever come to Brantford this is the place to get your meal. Food is delicious, service is fantastic, the atmosphere is amazing and the place is spotless clean. All it takes is one visit and you will become a regular
LOVEDDDD the food!! First time we tried and no regrets. I had to stop and take a picture to post this review. Surely recommend. I had the chicken curry roti and my husband had the goat curry with rice. So delicious!!!! By far, this is the best Jamaican restaurant and now my go to place for yummy hot food!!
Soo damn good! The Brown stew chicken is second to none, so much flavor. Jerk chicken also was delicious. Plantain was perfectly cooked. I love coleslaw, though it's rare to find a place that knows how to make it right. This place does, sweet creamy, crunchy and cold. The staff was very pleasant and courteous 👌 I am definitely satisfied with this place. Keep up the great work in that kitchen.
Excellent jerk chicken & Roti
WOW , Amazing ! I just relocated from Vancouver last year and this takes the top stop of the best Jamaica food experience..
I order food by Uber eats and canceled less than 2 minutes . the restaurant charged me for nothing this is not professional and I never ordered from you guys anymore
Don t order from them those guys will never get your money back if you re canceling even less than minimum
Great little hole in the wall restaurant in Cambridge. Food was fantastic and the jerk is smoked in the on-site smoker. We loved our meal!
Their jerk chicken is the best!
The food is goodazz
Ive already left a review, but Im leaving another one because I cant believe how good this tastes like its literally the best taste Ive ever tasted all of everything you have on your menu, all of its good, all of its great!! God bless your restaurant and family!!
My kids and I love this place! Authentic flavor and the staff are really great. Prices are also great - I bought two family meals for the school at the end of the year and the teachers were so so happy. We will always come back here!
Perfection. Food is authentic Jamaican. Service and atmosphere are both impeccable. Would be beyond amazing if I could enjoy a Red Stripe with the meal. Will no longer have to search for the best Jamaican food in Brantford. Found it! Food : 5/5
Great food & atmosphere! Also available on TooGoodToGo app which is nice Food
First time at Taste of Jamaica, had the jerk chicken family meal with 2 patties. Jerk was excellent and so were the patties. Pricing was fair. Will definitely be back.
The crew was amazing and to top it off, the food was great. Thank you to a wonderful team.
Ordered 2 meals off Too Good to Go app and received one when I picked up. What a waste of time and money. It wouldve been cheaper to walk in and order. If the attention to detail is that poor then how poor is the attention in the kitchen to my food. Who knows what Ive even got in the bag since its a surprise.
Authentic Jamaican food. The stewed chicken brought back memories. Highly recommend.
This is the best Jamaican food I r had anywhere. The jerk chicken is done in a smoker and the smells are unbelievable! This was my first time and I m definitely coming back again and again! Thank you Angel for your hospitality!
Well I couldnt find any prices on what I wanted so I just hoped I had enough money and the wait in the sweltering heat was a bit much . but the food was great
Something was very wrong with the chicken wings we got for takeout last night. We got the chicken wings/fries and goat roti. My little girl was up for hours in the middle of the night sick with stomach ache and diarrhea. The only food she had for dinner was the chicken wings and fries from here. You gotta be careful with food because its really dangerous for kids and parents will not stand for it. Im sorry for the bad review because they were really sweet people, but we were extremely scared and thought we needed to take my daughter to the emergency.
The best place in town I promise you! The menu is great! The food is prepared fresh and ready. Nun of the classic. Mi nah ave dat has ever happened to me before. Parking: Park outside but not in front of the hydrant Kid-friendliness: Mostly church music Wheelchair accessibility: No ramp to roll on just open the door and go on
I have to begin by saying I love this place! I go at least 3 times a month to pickup their hot patties six at a time . Needless to say they have the best Jamaican patties in Brantford bar none! I ve tried their jerk chicken and stew chicken lunch specials as well and they re also packed with flavour and give generous portions as well!! Another notable thing that I love about this place is that every time I ve been here they have either Christian music, or Christian based videos playing and I always seem to leave with a smile because I ve thought about God and in some way. Thank you for setting such a positive environment!
Hands-down, the best Jamaican food I ve had in my life. The atmosphere is truly amazing. I go in there on a day when they re closed and without any argument or at any point, they could ve just said no they didn t want to serve me. They still made me my food and I appreciate it. The coleslaw is a must have never liked it ever, but I could eat that by the bucket from here. Much love
Food was amazing! Would highly recommend this place for a good taste of Jamaican food. Theres a little discrepancy between prices on their web (which doesnt work) and ordering in person (price when ordering in person were 18% higher then posted on web).
I love the jerk chicken! It s just so yummy! I have nothing but love for this place!
Fantastic place. Had some curry chicken, and it was amazing. Im definitely going back.
Best Jamaican restaurant I have ever eaten. The food is so fresh, tasty, super clean restaurant. My kids loved the food. The owners are the most amazing, kind people. It is a must if you are in the area. We loved the barbecue chicken, the curry chicken, ox tail, rice and peas, soup, all so delicious. Kid-friendliness: Chicken, fries, rice and peas, soup
Everything was delicious. I loved the oxtail and the goat. I recommend it for your whole family.
As a Jamaican, eating a lot of our cuisine all over the place..i can truly attest that after driving 11/2 hour to get to Brantford..it was well worth the drive. The Food was so good, tasty, well presented Best in Ontario in my opinion. Well done Taste of Jamaica and and their lovely host..i will definately be coming back and telling others about your place..Thank you for a superb service! Kid-friendliness: We had about 8-10 children and was able to feed them with awesome bbq wings, fried chicken, fries, ice cream..yum, yum! Wheelchair accessibility: Single level access..should not be a problem for wheelchair access.
This is THEE place. Tonight we ordered their jerk & fried chicken combo, and oxtail meal. This was hands down the best oxtail I ve ever had. Everything was perfectly seasoned, the rice and peas with the coleslaw was the salty and sweet balance you want with having something as rich as oxtail. The coco bread was so fresh and pillowy I could have slept on them hahaha. Also props to you guys for accommodating my add hot sauce sub for extra coleslaw lol. To the owners, I hope you know how much Brantford appreciates you and the food you re pumping out. I know the devotion it takes to run a business in this economy, never give up, and keep blessing us with your cuisine. I feel nourished , thank you for dinner
4 small pieces of oxtail in their over $20 large meal. Food tastes great but still not worth how little meat you get.
This restaurant is the best kept secret in Brantford. The food is delicious down to the last bite!! I couldn t believe my eyes when I saw jerked chicken being done on an actual drum pan!!! This is real the Jamaican jerk .not the baked chicken with jerk sauce that is served elsewhere. This is the real deal!!! This is how it is originally done in Jamaica. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Kim, Ites and Shernette (sp?) you just outdo yourselves. This place deserve 12 stars!!!
More of a take out place. But great food.
Horrible experience. I ordered a chicken roti on Uber Eats and I received someone elses order. What I opened smelled and looked disgusting. I called to explain my order was wrong and a woman said well rectify it and then hung up on me. When I called the Uber driver to explain, she said when she got there, there was a big fight happening in the kitchen and everyone was yelling and swearing at each other. My proper order never came.
As far as jamaican food in canada goes this place nails it. Although the area it is located is a little dumpy it actually adds to the authenticity of your dining experience. Parking: Youll find a place to park
I used to think Jamaica House in Brampton had the best food until I tried Taste of Jamaican s Kitchen. The food was amazing and so full of flavour, right down to the bone. With a wide variety on the menu, theres something for everyone. Im bringing a friend there this weekend to experience the amazing food and service. Im recommending this restaurant to everyone. Its definitely worth the drive to Brantford, especially if you love good Jamaican food.
I ordered a soup as I was feeling sick, and waiting for it to be delivered, I received a message that the Uber is 1 min away when I went outside to collect it, the driver drove away. Do not order from this place
Patties were over cooked and had no meat in them
First time buying here. Omg it was so good the ackee and saltfish was bomb! And the porridge was so freaking tasty ! I cant wait to tell my dad I found my new favorite spot lol
It was hard to choose; lots of menu options. I decided on the brown stew fish. Oh my! Absolutely delicious!!!! I am still dreaming about it. I live so far away but it is definitely worth the drive. And the music had me rocking and swaying the whole time. Great experience
Tried the curried goat as I had never had this before. The portion size would barely have fed a child, let alone an adult. For $15.99 it was mostly rice & beans; there were 3 very, very small pieces of goat, and while it tasted good, they had so many teeny tiny bones in it, I had to pick them out of each bite or risk swallowing them. And there was hardly any meat on them. On another occasion I had a sweet tooth late and went in asking what desserts they had; all they had was some type of very heavy spice cake, which was $3.99 for about a 3-bite piece, and it was very soggy or almost under-baked, and the lady just tossed it on the counter in front of me - I guess when she realized I wasnt spending much the customer service took a nose-dive. The 2 occasions Ive bought here, I have never been greeted warmly or with a smile. I say hello and no friendly greeting. I get the distinct impression the woman at the front counter does not enjoy serving the public whatsoever, in which case why not put someone friendlier at the front counter? Or why even open a restaurant at all? In addition, ever since theyve moved in the sidewalk in front of the place is terribly stained. They toss out leaking garbage bags with grease or oil in them, and the sidewalk is perpetually sticky and stained. In summer this attracts wasps & hornets. Would it be too difficult to toss down a bucket of hot water and bleach a couple times a week? If someone as much as drops a popsicle in front of my house Im out there with hot water, a splash of vinegar and a broom. Try taking pride in how the front of your place looks, larger portion sizes, and work on your customer service!
Lovely restaurant and lovely staff. Everytime I am in the Hamilton and Brantford area, its a must for me to visit Taste of Jamaica Kitchen. Delicious food.
I read over ALL the reviews before leaving one. It is obvious to me that there is a few common complaints. As a business owner, unu mus lisen tu yu custamers I am from outta town, just pop in to get some brekfas. I was wantin some ackee and salt fish with some dumplin. Asked for a LARGE ackee and saltfish, young lady show me de larger container my order would come in. I requested to put the ackee and salt fish in dat container, an to put de dumplin in a separate container. I paid $13.20 plus taxes, got my bag with my food ... done However, upon opening the bag, I was surprised to find out, that a LARGE ackee & salt fish, is actually a LARGE order of 3 dumplin, 2 piece a yellow yam, an 1 green banana chopped up and a SMALL order of ackee & salt fish. This would be great, IF ... that is what I asked for and how it is written on the menu & my bill You (Taste of JAs Kitchen) need to give the customer what you have stated you are going to give dem and STOP being STINGY!!! Or maybe you have to change up your pricing or change what you call the item on the menu. Just a little Jamaican bush advice with some wise words from the JA Good, Good Book. It says Di wie unu diil wid ada piipl, siem wie dem a-go diil wid unu. Seen!! Translation says, The way YOU deal with other people, same way they will deal with you. Understand!!
Friday night take out. You will not be disappointed. The food is fresh and tasty. Vegetarian options: Great chickpea roti.
Soup is excellent
I love Caribbean food. Ive had curry chicken in many establishments. The curry chicken here is full of bones and cartilage. Every other bite is a bone fragment. I just couldnt enjoy it. Furthermore, I generally share my food with my 1 and 2 year old. Obviously I couldnt give my kids any due to all the hidden bone fragments. Having this many bone fragments in your food is just lazy. Do better.
Food is good and super tasty
Although the store front was a hole in the wall the food was amazing. Hot, fresh and delicious! Spiced right and made with love.
Amazing food and service! Big portions, great flavour, will definitely order again!
Best jerk in brantford!!!! With friendly and amazing customer service.
Jamaican food is sold all over but these guys preserve the culture and anything they do they do it well. Definitely the taste of jamaica, love it.
I came to this restaurant because I heard of the authentic Jamaican taste that they provide with lots of meals to choose from. I was greeted with a smile and chose to stay and eat because of the warm family atmosphere that the establishment provides. I will be returning for sure.
Great food, quantity and quality. I had their curry chicken, jerk chicken, ox tail, beef patty and banana porridge. Overall top notch food
This is my second time ordering from here, mind you the first time was vey nice. I order a large curry chicken and large curry goat, my portions were so small I thought I had ordered small by mistake I went back to look at my receipt and yes I ordered large for the two Dinners. My food came cold, 3 pieces of chicken the tray was full of rice. Same as the curry goat 5 pieces and they each had half spoon of coleslaw. I wonder if they just ran out of food? But still very dissatisfied.
Food was very good and if your a bbq guy you will love the jerk chicken.
Food was amazing Service was even better Establishment was nice and clean 10/10
The food was very tasty, service was great. The establishment was very clean and relaxing. Recommend this place if you are ever in Brantford. Go see Angel . Parking: Lots of Parking in front
Not to sound a way or rude but white people will pretty much eat anything and say it taste good now as a Jamaican this food was honestly not good the curry goat taste like it was coming out the sink with bare wet plates it tasted like soap and there was hair in my food both me and my kids are starting to feel sick this wasn t prepared good
Food horrible sorry
Parking: Good people Food
So good!!! The jerk chicken omg its heaven, so much chicken on the bones and they give knives with their utensils! This is awesome. Definitely worth 5 star rating! Thank you so much!
You can feel the SOUL as soon as you walk through the door
Food very over priced for size of meal. Got an oxtail small meal for16$. Food was ok nothing special. Toni s in brantford way better for West Indian food.
Got the ackee and saltfish breakfast special, but due to the portion size asked to upgrade it to a large. It was a great price and definitely tasted amazing. Best Jamaican spot in Brantford by far!
Where do I start . I want to share that I am a regular to this restaurant; along with my family. This review ISN T based off going to this restaurant one time. I ve spent so much money at this place, but they still can t met the bare minimum in customer service. To add, I myself own a food franchise therefore, I have first hand experience and knowledge in such business(s). Treat your customers with respect and kindness and you ll see your business flourish. This restaurant always has a problem. Food: Very inconsistent. One day it will be good, and another day there s burnt rice, burnt porridge, burnt ground provision, burnt stew peas. One time, I ordered from them on Skip the dishes and got burnt rice. Than my sister in law ordered from them a few minutes later; and guess what she got burnt rice. Portion: SOOO LITTLE. They are very stingy. I order plantin everytime, and sometimes you get 3 little pieces and other times 6, for the same price. I honestly think there going based on the day. For example, during the day, they might have more sales so they give you less. Rather in the night, they give you more because it s stale and there trying to get ride of it. Cold-slaw same thing a pinch is what you re getting. Saltfish flitters = no salt fish in their opinion. If you don t watch the lady at the cash pack you re order up; you ll leave with less than you paid for. Customer service: Let me be clear, the male owner and the fare-skin young lady that works in the kitchen; AMAZING. You can see they take pride in their service. The other lady that works at the cash; VERY RUDE. She s one of the owners as well; which makes this worst. I can t stress this enough. You walk in and say hello and her attitude alone irritates me. I ve called twice in the last 2 weeks after I place my order online just so she won t mess it up. Both times, she hung up on me . Yesterday included. Then, when I CALL HER BACK she s like how can I help you? Uhhhh, you hung up on me. Than she proceeds to say well I sent the driver out already with only one drink (i paid for 2) and it s the wrong beverage. You need to greet people with a kind gesture. Who s going to want to talk to you when you skin-up your face like that everytime I see you? Overall takeaway: The food is a hit or miss. But my main issue is the service. It pains me to see it as a restaurant owner myself. They really need to step it up. When smaller incidents happen at my franchise, I m quick to resolve the matter with coupons, free beverages, a conversation, an apology etc. But I go in or order takeout at least twice a week, and none of them seem to care to help resolve the matter. If you made it this far, respect. I hope you re visit(s) will be better than mine.
Why chance somewhere else when this place is 5 stars clean tasteful respectful and most of all fast Vegetarian options: If you dont eat meat or any animal foods they got you covered Parking: Park anytime anywhere on the street and go get the greatest food in town Kid-friendliness: Very professional business
Saw the reviews and decided to order jerk chicken and the brown stew chicken soooo tasty indeed ! Our new fav Jamaican restaurant in Brantford!
Authentic, tasty Jamaican taste with excellent service
Porridge is so good make you wanna slap your granny!
Very fresh and open restaurant, love the white decor. Friendly staff. Had the oxtail/rice and peas and ordered a side of festival. Oxtail was so tender it fell off the bone, rice was delicious and the coleslaw perfect! I will definitely be back :)
The owner is a very special kind lady and the Ackee and salt fish is well tun up! Really nice food!
I gave a negative review several months ago but decided to give this place a second chance. I was very happy. The jerk pork was properly seasoned this time and was very tender. The rice and peas were excellent, not dry this time and alot of red peas. I ordered a small Jerk chicken dinner with coleslaw. The portion size was perfect this time. I spent $12 and was very satisfied. I also love their beef patties. I cant stop going back again and again.
The first time I tried their food I was blown away. Jerk chicken was on point. Taste, seasoning, the rice and Pease, the coleslaw and the macaroni salad. I tried it again and was very disappointed. I got 2 jerk chicken dinners, 1 curry goat and 3 drinks. My order came with 1 jerk chicken with barely any food in the box. 1 curry goat with literally 3 pieces of goat, even though I ordered a large and paid extra for it and zero drinks, even though I paid for 3. I recently tried their food again right when they opened and met one of the owners who was a delight and very helpful. Their food was fresh and delicious. I will eat here again. I will just be more mindful about when I order. But so far, the jerk chicken, coleslaw, ackee and salt fish, callalu and dumplings are on point
Amazing food! I came in yesterday and tried the jerk chicken. It was delicious fall off the bone and tender. Definitely recommend! Ill definitely be coming back Vegetarian options: Have tons of options just ask Kid-friendliness: Great music lots of seating.
Needs to be more friendly
The food at Taste of Jamaican s Kitchen is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can choose among many menu options. I especially enjoyed the delicious steamed fish and its beautiful presentation which was prepared for me at the restaurant. Service was delightful and very professional. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment!
I have been dying to try this place and today I decided to give the curry chicken a try. When I first opened it it smelled so good. It had next to no meat on the bones. Im not sure if they rushed packaging it or if they just didnt pay attention or care. There was so much cartilage, bone fragment etc that I couldnt even eat it. If it was the end of the day and bottom of the pot then they should have marked it as sold out or called to allow me to change my order. The coleslaw was incredible though.
Amazing service and great food! Best jamaican food spot in brantford. My family and I just discovered this kitchen and will, without a doubt, be coming back! Thank you! Parking: Located in the heart of Brantford. Always plenty of free parking on the street. Fast service. Food always SPOT ON and i m a tough critic believe me.
Very good food, nice workers that helped me with my selection. I took out so can only base the atmosphere on a short stay, but it was tidy and clean, and Id definitely sit in sometime
Great food fair prices and good portion size
Great take for take or dine in, Jamaican restaurant with good quality food..
Excellent food and the hospitality is like no other here in Brantford a must eatery for all to enjoy
We stopped by this evening, Kim and Paul were so welcoming, we tried a bit of everything, my 7 year old loved the porridge and soup, my 9 year enjoyed some fried and Jerk chicken, my husband had the oxtail, as for me never had curry goat this good. Vegetarian options: Curry Chick Peas
Very clean. Friendly staff. Food very tasty. Getting popular; need more staff at busy hours.
Best Jamaican spot in Ontario, good prices and consistently good quality.
I never had Jamaica food that was so good. I mean the curry goat and jerk chicken was full of flavor. The rice was like butter. Delicious!!!! I highly recommend this place, also they were very kind and friendly great staff.
crave mi a crave bbq fried chicken and finally got my fix. Jerk chicken well nice; rice and peas cooked perfectly.
The best place in town to get Caribbean food, best curry I ve had in a long time from a restaurant
I was visiting Brantford and ordered some food from here. The wings was missing the festival and the wings had a terrible taste like it was old or spoil or both. The oxtail dinner had more bones than oxtail and the oxtail taste like soup meat. All in all it was not good
Tried it for the first time, unfortunately uber made a mistake so didint get to try the jerk chicken but I got the BBQ chicken and rice! You guys killed it I loved it. Gotta come back for the jerk! Il come in person next time!
Best Jamaican food in Brantford. Love everything especially the fish fry and dumplings. So yummy. I go there almost every day to pick up food.
Best West Indian food in Brantford!!
Ive been ordering take out from Taste of Jamaicans Kitchen for months now since moving to Brantford and the food has never disappointed. My top choices are Ackee and Salt fish with ground provisions, Jerk chicken dinner and Oxtail dinner. Their soups are delicious and dont forget the patties! Totally recommend trying this place for good delicious food, great friendly service and affordable options.
Just moved to Brantford and decided to try this place as I havent had jerked chicken in a long time, and definitely was the best Ive ever had, the service was polite and the smell alone had me wanting to eat it before i got home, and once i tried it i couldnt stop saying to my wife how amazing it was. Definitely my go to from now on. Big respect to the chefs in the kitchen.
The coco bun was rock hard stale - would not eat here again!
Hands down the best jerk chicken I ve had! Super friendly and food was fast waited less than 3 mins. Will be returning and also letting people know! Thank you
Good food
10/10 every time !!! Absolutely fabulous food.
I love the food! But even more so, I love being made to feel like family
New Jamaican place opened, came excited for the food, customer service was nice and welcoming food took 15mins to make picked up Bammy $1 nice and fresh *half a bammy Beef patties $2 delicious and flaky Callaloo $6.20 very good and buttery, portion was extremely small very unreasonable for price Oxtail $16.90 not cooked well, portion size again very unreasonable for price and there were scattered pieces of coleslaw. Most disappointed with the portion sizes compared to price
Ordered large oxtail, rice and pea, cole slaw, beef patty , salt fish fritter .did not like any of it.1 out of 10 .I am from Toronto and this sucked and my two Co workers gave it a 1 as well .they were totally unorganized and gave me paper towel with curry on them for napkins and a veg.patty instead of meat also they had no spicy beef Patties at all.26.00 down the tube will not return.
I received a warm friendly greeting when entering this restaurant - if only the food was as tasty as the smile was welcoming. I ordered the large oxtail with rice & peas and requested extra gravy. Oxtail normally falls off the bone and is served in a rich gravy. This oxtail was disappointing - tough, not tender - certainly not coming off the bone easily. There was no gravy or sauce. The large portion was extremely stingy. The rice and peas were dry and underseasoned. The salt fish fritter was nicely cooked but lacked any noticeable salt fish. The cole slaw was prepared with dry carrots de yesterjour. There seemed to be confusion in the kitchen with one of the cooks repeatedly coming out front to reconfirm my order. This restaurant sadly doesnt deliver their potential.
I recently visited this new Jamaican restaurant in Brantford and ordered the steamed fish and jerk chicken for my son. The fish meal was delicious and the jerk chicken was well seasoned to the bones. I also bought gungo oxtail soup, first time having this kind of soup as I love soup. The soup was delicious. The service was great and the workers are warm and friendly. I will certainly buy at this restaurant again. Its the real taste of Jamaica. My son keeps telling me he loves the food and wants more.
Staff are warm and friendly and the fried chicken with rice and peas was absolutely delicious. Would defined recommend for a new food establishment!
Are you looking for the authentic taste of Jamaica? This is the place to go. Great food and great service. Since they ve opened my family has visited several times without being disappointed.
Wanted to try it out as it was new but very disappointed with the rice it taste like minute Rice an can peas got two large dishes one rice an jerk pork and one rice an jerk chicken got a lot of minute Rice an a small portion of pork in the dish for the price . When I think about having authentic Caribbean food this type of rice is not in the picture.
Best jerk in the city
This is my third time getting food from this restaurant and let me just say!! I think they have the best Jamaican food in town. I ordered Oxtail with rice and peas. The meat was tender, well seasoned and delicious. The rice and peas was tasty as is their white rise. I also ordered jerk Chicken and jerk pork, the portions were as expected and was worth spending my money on. Ive also dined in for breakfast and the staff were friendly and polite. I wish I could give 10 stars because they deserve it. I definitely recommend this place and will be back again soon.
Great service, great food, reminds me of back home growing up. Definitely a taste of Jamaica.
Great food, service, and people. Would definitely recommend.
Delicious authentic food!
Ordered 2 chicken dinners and 2 red peas soup, everything was perfect, down to the coleslaw and macaroni salad :) Delicious!!!
I absolutely love Caribbean Food. Ive been eating it for over 50 yrs of my life. When this restaurant opened, My Husband and I were excited to try it. Unfortunately, We ended up extremely disappointed. The portion size compared to other Similar Caribbean Restaurants for the cost, was skimpy. The food lacked any true level of Salt or Spice. I know some Canadians dislike a lot of Seasonings, but this was downright Bland and Unexciting(My Caribbean Husbands assessment. Which I concur with.). Im sure this restaurant could do much better in future, If they adjust both the Portion Sizing and the Spice Levels of their Food Offerings. I do wish them the best, though.
Delivery, delicious and fast. Curry goat is so tasty. So glad this place is here
Came in from Toronto, best Jamaican spot I ve had in years. Better than most places in the city Stand up
Chicken roti was full of bone fragments (little pieces/slivers), super salty and under filled (maybe a ladle full?). I couldn t eat the filling cause I was worried about chipping a tooth or choking on the bone pieces. I ended up scraping out the filling into the trash and carefully eating the roti skin.
This was our first visit to Taste of Jamaica s Kitchen. We were greeted with a beautiful smile from the cashier. We dined in,- restaurant is very clean and cozy! I had the jerk chicken and my wife had the jerk pork. Best jerk chicken I ve tasted in a very long time- they jerked it on the drum which gives it that authentic taste. (They really lived up to the name Taste of Jamaica ) I loved the fact that the chicken wasn t overly spicy- I also tasted the jerk pork from my wife s plate and it just melted in my mouth. For our drinks we had the peanut punch and carrot juice-which was freshly made as we dined - best I ve ever tasted! We highly recommended this restaurant, our overall experience was excellent- staff was friendly and professional, food was tasty!!- we will be back!!
The oxtail is absolutely fantastic. My husbands comment .good family cooking. Also had the curry goat, also a five star dish, the cow foot soup excellent, flavours and spice in all dishes are excellent. Keep doing what your doing we will be back ..soon. Very soon.
The Best authentic Jamaican cuisine in Brantford!!! I love the decor as it is warm and inviting! The quality of the food is very consistent unlike other outlets. This is new spot.
My family and I have purchased food from here a few times. We usually get the family meal (around 25 bucks+tax) and the food is absolutely delicious! Very flavorful and well prepared. I also love the portion sizes. Its always just more than enough to feed my family of 4. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for delicious caribbean food at great and affordable prices! Dont sleep on Taste of Jamaicans Kitchen yall!
best Roti Ive ever had
