First time here and will never return...waitress was not very friendly, food was not good, got some lovely coffee grinds in the bottom of our cups and no apologies for it and everything took a half hour coming out...everything was cold by the time we got it...so not impressed
I ate here fairly often, but that will end now. I reserved a particular table for the breakfast buffet. When my wife and I got there, the table was in use. I was told the poeple at the table were regulars and had been there since 8 pm (my reservation was for 10am and it was 10:01am). This was an obvious lie since they were still eating and nowhere near done. People don't eat for 2 hours. My wife overheard a discussion amongst some staff about the situation before a manager (I presume) came to apologize and said the people at our reserved tabe were regulars and they expected them to be gone by then. That's much more believable, and understandable, and she sounded sincere. But the worker with red-dyed hair and glasses kept giving my wife dirty looks, which didn't create a pleasant atmosphere. The worst part was that 30 minutes after we were seated, our waitress, who was not friendly as usual (she's served us many times), came and asked how I'd be paying. I never asked for the check, and still had food on my plate! I said that I'd pay with debit when we are ready to go. She left and came back with the debt machine within seconds. I thought, "Okay, I can pay now, but I don't have to leave right away because it's an all-you-can-eat buffet." I'd only gone up twice, so it wasn't over-eating. But as I was paying, she picked up my plate AND MY FORK. The plate, okay, because you have to get a clean plate when you go back to the buffet, but the fork you re-use. That was as clear as it gets the we were being ushered out. There's two side to every story, but I can assure you, we were not rude, and did not make a scene, although most people would have been much more upset than we were. We were annoyed, and let that be known be the greeter, and that was all. That treatment was completely uncalled for and inexcusable. The food was good. The price is good. The atmosphere would have been good were it not for the treatment we received. And clearly, the service was the worst I've ever experienced. Beside getting ushered out, we were also ignored and had to request a coffee refill, because she wasn't offering.
We had the opportunity to go to that Restaurant. It was our first time. The waiting staff were so helpful in making choices. The food was delicious. They're French Onion Soup was a great experience in reference to my palate. The atmosphere was friendly. My large Greek Salad was full of Greek Olives without pits.I counted 14.That's my favourite part of a Greek Salad.Yes,lots of Feta Chesse.Variety of veggies and I was able to put my Greek Salad Dressing. That way your lettuce leaves don't look as if they're wilting. My wife wants us to make that Restaurant our new home.I totally agree!
I have been dining at the Sherwood for many years as it is a favorite of my parents. Our most recent experience was Thanksgiving when we had a fabulous turkey dinner with all the fixings for a great price. Food and value are consistently great, which explains why it is such a busy place. I very much appreciate how the servers are always looking out for my parents when they dine there. ♥️
I preordered Thanksgiving dinner, and they did not disappoint. A family of 4 which came with plenty of leftovers was priced fairly at $95. Placing the order over the phone was a breeze as the lady who took my order was able to communicate smoothly and efficiently. Upon pick up, I was greeted with a smile and the lady even knew who I was and what I was picking up. She was very pleasant and made an effort to strike up a conversation which tells me that the environment is very welcoming and homely. I can’t wait to go back for some more good homemade eats!
I love love love this place. I love the food... The servers, and the retro look when you are inside. Too many restaurants sell out to the sterile renovation look... Where the floors are grey.. Walls are white.. And the lighting is florescent. This place is cozy❤️ The food is home cooked.. And the staff are super friendly. Please do not ever change 10/10👌
The Sherwood has all the feels of a classic local diner. It possesess that antique interior and homey ambience. Food was good, but nothing exceptional. The Eggs Benedict could have been a little bit runnier. On a better note, an order of their Friar Tuck's Breakfast $16.99 has very generous servings and should be more than enough for a breakfast meal. Service at the restaurant was a little off. There was only 1 person waiting on tables, and as a result you would often find yourself having to wait to be attended to. Arriving at the restaurant, we had to wait for quite a while before we were escorted to our seats. During the dining time itself, other than bringing our food orders to our table there was only 1 time we were checked up on and that was for a coffee refill. Lastly, our server was a little too much chatty and smart-mouthed which may not be appreciated by all diners. There is a wide range of customer personalities, and some diners may just want to dine and dash and avoid small talk.
Had a pleasant experience at this place. Always a fan if the name. Our waitress Lee was great . food was really good .had the fish and chips done to perfection. Loved the gravy and the portions were large. Good fries. I love the old 80s diner feel and look. Prices are good for the amount of food you get.. parking is a little tight but all in all good.. will be back.
Parking: Place is just VERY old looking . Hasnt changed or been updated since i was a kid , and Im now 47 ...so just dingy looking , and only had 2 ppl working , so service wasnt the best. These poor ladies were run off their feet . Food
Simply the best.
Tara rocked as our server and everyone enjoyed the amazing mom and pop restaurant. Vegetarian options: Tara would help with whatever was needed. Dietary restrictions: Tara would have sorted any request as best she could. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp and opener available.
Great food and great prices, servers are very friendly
Brantford staple, been around forever and isnt going anywhere. Love the old school diner vibe, great breakfast options, one of my favourite spots in town
Were always sure to stop in when in town. My favourite is the eggs benedict!
Older facility, but charming
Good food, good service, neighbourly atmosphere. Great place for lunch after the weekend market.
Parking: Parking is no issue Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessable Food : 5/5 |
Years of great food.. waitress was grumpy and obviously didnt want to be at work
They lost our reservation on mothers day but they did manage to get our family seated and food and service was wonderful.
Always consistent food here. Great prices and good portions!
Very friendly employee food was great good selection of food and soup was excellent
My girlfriend and I went to their weekend buffet for the first time and were absolutely thrilled with what we experienced. The roast beef was tender and flavourful, the haddock was flaky and golden, the perch was every bit as delicious as my dads home cooked perch (sorry, Dad) and the staff were so friendly and efficient! The buffet selection might be smaller than a place like the Mandarin but every single item was delicious. We will absolutely be going back!
Great Sunday Brunch, Great Service
They didnt make us feel welcomed felt rushed to get done our meal and waitress was pushy and not as friendly to us as locals
Best Place for Breakfast and also has a great brunch and catering options
The food was ok. Buffet variety was kinda sad! Im not a fan of the fish batter. They were very busy today so I think the staff all did great for how busy it was. The interior could really use some renovations its looking old and out dated! I think I am more interested in the breakfast if its still good. Years ago the breakfast was very good. Oh and the Pies are store bought! Parking: Parking in the back aswel
Friendly staff and great food portions.
As old-school as it gets. But they do it well.
Food was good. The restaurants temperature was far too warm though when we were there we were sweating a bit, I got up & looked it read 70-78F & it was 16C outside. The waitress was over attentive was coming by our table every couple of minutes it was bothersome when there were only 2 of us at the table & we we had buffet meals. They werent busy when we were there so she probably had nothing else to do.
We had the Sherwood cater our wedding for 75 people. We picked a full Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings. It was fabulous!!! Mary and her staff at our venue were top self. Look at the rest, then choose the best !!!
Been going to the sherwood for years. Love the service, made some friends with the workers. Always great food. Enjoy the dinner and breakfast buffets
Place is a bit dated, waitresses were fantastic, food was good and sufficient amount. Service was quite fast. The tables were close together and we were surrounded by loud people, which with my dad being hard of hearing was hard to have a decent conversation. But good experience otherwise
The food was very good tasting, however they need to keep it hotter. Most of the food was just warm. Our server was Tayler and she is a great asset to the restaurant. Fast service, lots of attention to the customers, funny and a great attitude. We will return again.
I wish I could leave a no star rating! I went here in order to have a nice lunch to catch up with a friend. We were rushed into ordering with the phrase, alright girls, time to order before I have to put you over in the dark corner. She was referring to the darker side of the restaurant. We had just had our coffee poured and chatting for a very short time. After ordering and being very specific, they did not give me the food I asked for which was all white meat and it came out with all dark meat. The rudest waitress of all time then offered packaged condiments mid meal and did not notify that she would charge us for said condiments on the bill separately. The food was unpleasant and approximately 2 and a half minutes after the bill was delivered she came to us with the machine telling us, alright ladies, let s do this, it s not like it s lunch time or anything. She forced us to pay and leave, while we were still trying to drink our coffee. The restaurant was not even busy and we were there for less than an hour. I felt like I was so disrespected in that moment. Not just as a paying customer but as a person in general. I didn t complain because I was just dumbfounded from start to finish of my experience here that day. I wrote to them privately and received no response. Therefore I choose to warn others. For a very poorly made meal with minimal ingredients, this meal came to just over $28 for a hot turkey lunch with French fries and a coffee. I had to pay an extra charge of $2 for cranberry sauce that came mid meal.
Good food for the price
Went for Sunday buffet... everything was fine... price was okay too for what was offered.. but the coffee was terrible ... a breakfast place needs good coffee
Dinner buffet - dont even waste your money , there are far better places. Very limited selection , food quality is disgusting. Lukewarm , perch tastes like gross cheap fish sticks. Couldnt even continue to eat the dinner part of it. The Veggies were good and pies were ok. Definably will never go back which is sad because they use to have decent food.
Buffet available Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and Sunday brunch. Lots of food choices so you wont leave hungry. Can also order off the menu. Great service and friendly staff. Lots of onsite parking available. Located right on Colborne St. in Brantford. Menu items during other business hours when the buffet isnt offered.
Its an institution a staple its been around longer than Ive been around Im sure of it I cant say much about the buffet because we were too early for that it started at 10:00 rather than 9:00 the food was good I had a gigantic julienne salad was kind of yummy would do it again maybe
Great family restaurant. Awesome buffet. Beautiful dining hall.
Very friendly service
The Sherwood is an institution in Brantford with a terrific and tasty Friday dinner buffet featuring fish (lightly breaded haddock and perch). Many other excellent choices... my father especially enjoyed the soup and meatloaf. While the layout of the buffet is a bit broken up (the salad area is tucked off to the side of the main buffet area) the value here is great and the service could not be more friendly or attentive.
The home fries was uneatable. it was mostly burned and black. I pay for the two of us $36 Wont be back here
This is the last time we order an annual Christmas meal from the Sherwood. This year - NO salad, NO dessert, and $21.95 per for senior Turkey dinners. Your greed has lost 4 customers.
Lovely brunch.
I went to Sherwood Restaurant on Sunday, January 8th, 2023. It was a party of 15. The host who invited us, asked for a private room. Upon arrival, there were two tables set up with the general public. The chairs were jammed in and no one could move in or out without knocking down other chairs and disturbing people who were sitting down. The food was below average. Nothing was hot. The scrambled eggs were in a small bowl and cold. They had roast beef and ham also. No potatoes to go with them. The selection was not good. The cost was 22.99. There were no gloves at the buffet for safety of spreading COVD. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT EAT HERE.
12 of us went for a birthday brunch, it was excellent!
Stopped in for the first time. Was greeted right away. Sat down and had some water. About 10 minutes later a lady came up and asked us if we were ready to order. I said no we havent even gotten a menu from you guys yet lol. She gets us a menu. The bacon was crisp cardboard. The toast was burnt. The homefries are like potatoes chips super crispy with no potatoes in it and overcooked. All in all probably wont be back. The food just looked so cheap and tasted even more cheap. The staff were friendly though. **edit, due to the owners response Id more than willing to try again. It really is a cute restaurant with the peter pan theme. Next time I drive through brantford Ill pull in and try again**
I ordered seniors sole plate with potatoe and 1 vegetable. Green beans were cold so I sent them back. Fish was tasteless and luke warm. Baked potatoe was good. At check out she forgot the additional 10% off for the seniors plate. Restaurant is run down. I would not choose to go back. Poor quality for $15.95 plate.
Great place for a baby shower
Breakfast was great
Best kept secret on the weekend Peach and Haddock buffet $21.99
We had our wedding ceremony here and dinner afterwards and everything was amazing.
We have visited Brantford about twice a month and have eaten here several time. The interior is nothing fancy but the food is reasonable and good. Service is good and friendly. Specials for lunch.
Came in with our car club. Had almost 20. We had made reservations, they had our tables already for us. Buffet was excellent, there were a lot of people there but they kept it well stocked. When we were all done, they weren t pushing us out the door. We will be back
My go-to place for a good meal.
First time trying ..had great breakfast , great friendly staff ..for sure coming back
Buffet is way overpriced . Place is very dirty basically filthy . Buffet food is not hot or fresh . Staff said they don t make cocktails ( like a screw driver ) even though full bar area . Staff complained to customers about being busy . One gross dessert that was gluten free.
I really enjoyed the buffet. usually a buffet is a waste of money for me but I actually had about 3 helpings
And that is to good for them service was the worst pancakes were just cooked on outside still runny patter on in side bad bad and very pricey
I have not been to the Sherwood in years & it s nothing like it used to be. The food that was served to me & my son was absolutely disgusting/cold & poorly presented. I ve never been served a disgusting meal like that in all my life. Won t be back!
Close to home and great prices food is good
Our visit was on March 9, 2023 so very disappointing! We got our water and decaf coffee. The waitresses couldn t be bothered to come out of the kitchen even when the phone rang. I ordered liver and onions with bacon my liver was over cooked and my bacon was cold. I had to ask for my appetizer which came after my meal! My husband ordered fish and chips. His fish was warm and fries cold. My father in law ordered liver was over cooked and his fries were cold. My mother in law ordered senior chicken breast and it looked worse than something you would get in a hospital! We will not be going back!!!!!
I am very disappointed with this restaurant. Nothing is fresh. The food doesnt taste fresh. Their fries taste like rubber. Most of what we ordered is frozen, then thawed out. Even the lemons are cold that the juice is missing. Some people are ok with this, but Im not. Food
Food was ok very little vegetarian options ..buffet pricey for whats available very limited bar options
Great breakfast special!
Breakfast is really good.
Easter buffet was awesome.
Returned to the Sherwood after many years away for the roast beef buffet and it was fantastic. Couple weeks later was driving by and thought I would check out the breakfast and it was also lovely. Staff are very nice but a little stretched thin. Only 2 waitresses working for the whole restaurant and they really did the best they could but could deff use another had. Food is wonderful and restaurant is old and is showing its age is still clean and in not to bad shape given its age.
Great food and very friendly staff
Absolutely disgusting. And a staff member is very rude and belittling. Just ew.
Not good dont know but would go back
It is exactly what you re hoping for, classic, old school diner/family restaurant food like when you were a kid. Hits the spot every time.
The staff and customer service is among the best in the city. No matter how busy or how many questions people throw at the staff at once they reply with kindness . Food is always great
Soup too salty to eat, gravy also too salty to eat ( on roast beef dinner). Waitress indifferent to situation. Food
We stopped in for the dinner buffet. The food was just not good. The roast beef was lukewarm and entirely flavorless, I had to douse it in salt. It didnt help that the horseradish had little flavor and zero heat. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box and were pasty and pretty cold. The meatloaf seemed like it was mostly filler, and honestly had the taste and consistency of stuffing, maybe they mix stuffing into the recipe? The Haddock wasnt hot and the batter was a bit gummy inside. The perch was better, with a lighter coating on it, but still not very hot. Probably the best food item on the buffet though. The thing that ended my dinner was the barely warm, overly soft roasted potato that filled my mouth with the taste of mold when I bit into it. I couldnt keep eating after that and so moved on to dessert. They appear to be mostly on par with cheap grocery store pies and squares. Overall, the food was just not hot, didnt seem fresh and was not appetizing in any way. And it cost $27 per person! Very disappointing. Wont be returning.
Good restaurant and service. Been going here for years for a good breakfast.
The restaurant could use a little renovating as it is old in there, but it is always clean and maintained. Washrooms are very clean and maintained. The food is good. The waitresses are very attentive and happy. So overall a pretty good experience
The place is old and run down and really really needs a refresh. I think it had been quite a place once upon a time and so it does still seem popular enough, but it is musty and dark in there. The food is just meh and I felt like there werent enough waitstaff. I hope that they take some time and modernize it. I can see that their clientele were in their prime in the 1970s, but that is no excuse to not bring the restaurant into the 21st century.
Excellent old style restaurant with a great buffet and regular menu
Best turkey sandwiches in town
Good food fast service polite staff
We stopped in after a morning of fishing. This restaurant was extremely overpriced for a meal that was barely edible. Servers were friendly enough but had that get what you get and dont complain attitude. The amount of flies that were around us while we ate made the sub-par food even less enjoyable.
Such a good little restaurant! We feel at home walking in and the food is SO good! Its not loud or crazy like other places. We enjoy quiet where we can actually hear eachother talk. The servers are very nice and very attentive to their guests. Oh, did I mention the food is super good?
We love Brantford and we Love The Sherwood! Thank you!! Food
Nice place for a meal. Could use a update but then the prices would probably go up. The meals are a good portion for a decent price. The service was fantastic. It was my wife s birthday so her meal was free all you have to do is let your server know. Dietary restrictions: Just let your server know I m sure they will work with you just seems like that kind of place.
Probably THE BEST BUFFET I have ever had in my entire life .Succulent beef , Pasta ,mashed or baked potatoes ,chicken , and perfectly lightly breaded yellow perch to DIE for . Cant say enough!!! Update!!! Cabbage rolls!mmm ...and their wings are huge cooked perfect and you get plenty!!!! You gotta try this place!!
Hate to say but the breakfast has gone downhill. This use to be the spot to go for breakfast. It s been a few years since we ve been there and that time the eggs were cold and the home fries tasted stale and cold. Today we went back after a few years of staying away in hopes they maybe changed for the better nope. Eggs were cold, home fries taste stale and cold, and my son s pancake felt like it just came out of the fridge. Sorry to say we won t be back.
Great service, Great food! Friendly staff! Thanksgiving Dinner just like home cooked! Food
Had the buffet. Limited food choices but what was there was very good. Only issue I had was the food was not hot enough. Nice dessert selections as well. Would go again
Wonderful staff excellent service...and the fish and chips was amazing!! seniors discounts too!
Went during the weekend and had the Buffet. The selection was great, a nice salad bar, and a dessert table filled with baked goods. The atmosphere brings the feeling of a 50s diner back. Definitely worth trying.
Food was cold selection was horrible. Had to get our own cream and milk cause our waitress was Mia. Used to be a favorite of my grandmother and parents only recommendation I would give now is just close your doors and call it a day.
Food is good, however will not be a returning customer. Company too cheap to include a simple small cup of gravy for fries as customer didnt notice the item on its own and sends a note instead. 0/10 for customer service.
Love it here. Amazing food. Beautiful people who work there. Amazing attitudes. Such a nice place.
A great place for breakfast. Very yummy.
The restaurant decor is quite dated and a little crusty around the edges but the food is good. There are two regular waitresses that Ive had, one is very friendly, the other not so much...
Was there for Xmas dinner in the hall. Food was great as always. Servers were very friendly.
The servers do not care about you, your health, your saftey, or socal distancing during this pandemic. Usually my go to for breakfast for dinner. Today I went with my wife for a holiday lunch date. We were seated at a window seat. We ordered and had our coffees brought to the table. All is well. The server then seats a table of 3 gentlemen right next to us. I asked arnt we supposed to be social distanced with have one table empty between each seated table the server replys they wanted to sit there. The BS part is we were made to move due to the servers error, and lack of a backbone with seating customers. Very disappointed and I dont think we will be back.
I have been to this restaurant 3 times and today is the final time. The host at the front door wants to see proof our vaccination, then says she cant see it, she doesnt have her glasses. Then we asked if she could take our order, she reponses by saying i am not a waitress in a loud rude voice. Stands around doing nothing while the 1 waitress runs around. I find them rude and they dont give a S_____ about there customers. The place is a dump
A great family style restaurant. Become a regular you wont regret it. Fantastic breakfasts.
A classic go-to in Brantford. Sherwood has been around for many years and has a great buffet when there are no Covid restrictions. Great for breakfast or anytime.
Best eggs benny in Brantford
Love these older classic diners that still look the same since the day they first opened. The food is generously portioned and will have you leave full and satisfied
Breakfast took 50 minutes to come out, eggs were undercooked to the point the of clear, bacon looked and tasted like it had been out for a week toast was also completely burnt.
First time going to Sherwood restaurant. Food was good. But a little pricy. Staff was excellent. Wonderful service. Very clean. The waitress was wonderful. Had a great sense of humor.
Super Delicious breakfast
Awesome breakfast and prices are best in town.
Bland bland bland. Food was cooked well but no seasoning on anything. It was busy when we went so we didnt get good service at all.. My drink was empty and stayed empty for my entire meal... Asked for the bill and had to eventually go to the counter to get it. The staff were nice and pleasant and they gave us a deal since my kids barely ate anything at all, so that was nice of them to do at least. Nice atmosphere and floor staff, but they must have changed staff in the kitchen because the food was blah
still the classic diner... none left that capture that feeling
Bomb breakfast
Great food, super friendly staff.
Dennis and the gang are the nicest people youll ever meet and the food is incredible. A must-visit if youre in Brantford.
Great food and atmosphere
Came here for Mothers day dinner buffet. Smaller buffet, but decent. Ran out of some desserts, and we didnt stay to see if they brought more out. Very accommodating and nice staff. Little pricey for the size of buffet, but still good.
Excellent breakfast great service
I honestly do not like rating so low but this was hands down the worst experience Ive ever had at a breakfast restaurant. Ive been going to this place for over 15 years and the food is always decent. Today the eggs benedict Hollandaise sauce tasted like pure butter. Found hair on two different items and the server came over to take our order and to give us the bill. Asked for water three times and received it when ready to leave. Every staff member walking around there look like they would rather be anywhere else in the world but there! Sorry, but something has to change but this place quickly.
Service was not very the greatest until we got a different waitress she was diffenatly an improvement. The buffet was horrible! Not what it use to be . Cold beef and vegetables were looked like they had been there awhile gross . The only thing that really was good was the fish . Not up to standard , will not have buffet again. Very dissatisfied and we brought guests how embarrassed ..
All homemade food. Without question the best Buffalo chicken fingers I have ever had. Cabbage rolls are right up there with my mom s. I have also enjoyed the rueben. Staff were friendly and prompt.
We did a breakfast on their temporary patio on the way home from Paris. Eggs, etc were well cooked and served. Service was a little slow but efficient t. Maybe they forgot everyone wants to take Dad out fro breakfast today? We d eat there again.
Good place to work the staff are amazing and the cooks are extremely talented I always love getting food from the sheerwood some of the best Ive had definitely recommend the soups of the day.
This place has been around since before my parents were even married in 1957 so obviously its a staple of Brantford but the last few times my girlfriend and I have gone we found the food passable at best and the portions small for the price you pay, no complaints about the staff though, weve always been treated well
Had their chocolate Milkshake and Fries! Good portion and excellent service! My only suggestion is that they ask how much chocolate syrup to add! Mine was so sweet I couldnt even drink half of it!!!
Excellent family dinning.
Had not been since the Pandemic howeveri ordered a oast beef sandwich, best sandwich I have had in a long time. The waitress was fantastic and made our visit pleasurable.
Good food not fancy just the basics. Lots of variety on the menu. Staff is friendly
Had the family roast beef dinner was very impressed a lot of food for the price. Everything was hot and fresh. Sunday dinner without the fuss. Will definitely order again.
Fantastic meal, excellent service. Ramona was our server and she was top shelf. Will definitely be back.
Excellent place to have your gatherings there while you enjoy your delicious meal. Also there Buffet is open again. You call anytime to dine out about the buffet. Sorry forgot to write it down. But enjoy your day everyone
Best Breakfast Menu in Town. Lunch and Dinner are very good prices for good food as well. Pleasant Staff
Went here for breakfast with my wife. Solid experience, no complaints. Will be back!
Compliments to the staff. Had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Staff were amazing with everyone. Place was overflowing with patrons.
The roasted turkey dinner was 5 out 5 for sure. The place hasnt changed much since 1985 I remember the good times I had here as a kid.
We had Turkey dinner takeout. Everything was great.
Excellent roast beef. Kid-friendliness: Family dining
Service was slow but the food was great. Our server Ramona was lovely. The place could use a face lift but it was truly a great brunch.
Parking: Lots of parking.. Food
Not anything like we were told it would be
Outrageous prices for mediocre food
Convenient
Placed a order...all ok.. Confirned Waited a hour for a Eats App to say. Sorry we cant fulfill your order
Kid-friendliness: Been going there for 57 years. Food
Absolutley amazing experience. Great staff awesome food. Will be going again for the Sunday brunch.
It is just the price I dont like it is to much for the buffet.
Great variety of homestyle food.
Had to wait 1 hr due to factory take out orders, should have been told, would have went elsewere. Home fries where extremely hard, could not eat. Would not be back, not from the area.
Kid-friendliness: Kids always seem welcome. Crayons, colouring available. Great kids menu. Food
The Sherwood is an old standard in Brantford. Great staff who provide happy service combined with delicious food make it comfortable place to dine. Theres nothing fancy but if you fancy good food in a nice community atmosphere it will not disappoint.
This place is filthy. The service was slow and rude. The food was mediocre at best. Avoid at all cost.
Came her for breakfast for the first time. It was vary good and enjoyed it. If you get a chance you got to try there bread pudding, it was pretty good. Lots of room inside and out. Staff where timely and kind. Will return again.
Food was ok. Waitress was nice. Place was in dire need of good cleaning. Ceiling tiles look like they were about to fall down. Musty smell. Over all gross.
Excellent homemade meals
Good breakfast and excellent service..
They are excellent for those of us who require gluten free. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and take great interest in your enjoyment. And the food is homemade wonderful
Excellent service and great food
No comment
Cannot say enough good about the service and the food. Kel was out server and she was fantastic. Food was absolutely delicious and quick. Atmosphere is very 70s but you felt at home. Will definitely go back !!
Breakfast was tasty and delicious...nice staff.
Food is okay.
Closes before 9 and calls themselves a bar. . Super lame haha
Wake up
Great food and service!
We always stop in for lunch or dinner when we are in Brantford. The food and service is always great. If you like chocolate, you must try the Death By Chocolate dessert! To die for!
Excellent Food and service
Busy today. Quality top notch.
The waitresses are down to earth and friendly. I was impressed with the foods. More of a home cooked meal type of restaurant. I also like that they have an all day breakfast with lots of choices. I will definitely come back.
Cool place
Got the roast beef dinner through skip the dishes they put some sort of sauce in a small container that spilled all over the food ...gross sauce ..ruined my meal it went in the garbage ...sloppy food ! Wont be ordering again....
Gravy was nasty..
I celebrated my birthday there because of their great service and tasty dinner! Me and my daughter enjoyed the meal very much! Tge steak was so well cooked-no steak sauce needed!
The food was delicious definitely will return
Utensils were dirty. Food was cold. I wouldn t send my worst enemy to this place.
Super place for a club meeting! Love the breakfasts, especially the Friar Tuck! Great choice to split. The staff were terrific...just enough spunk and sass to keep everyone happy and entertained! They fed 22 people and everyone was eating at the same time and everything was hot and delicious!
Awesome breakfasts!
Old time restaurant good friendly service and food
We were on a bus tour.
Excellent food. Great service
