Uncle Sam's BBQ Smoke House in Brantford

I visited Uncle Sams BBQ for the first time and won t be last , the smoke chicken with the ribs combo with amazing, the sweet potato fries were nice and crispy, the service was great and helpful, we will be back k soon .

I needed a catering service for our Christmas dinner at one of our locations and got simply the best. They arrived on time and the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you to Oliver and Leroy for everything.

I must say this place, the food, the service, and the wonderful people who work here are a hidden gem and needs to be recognized for the amazing quality. The lovely ladies who work here and the men and so kind and amazing with excellent customer service and the food is delicious and not one complaint with uncle Sam s. They are so accommodating also as I work around the corner at transit terminal and can run there on my break and they have my meal ready and a my now go to downtown! Thanks guys for feeding me almost every evening

Awesome hidden gem

ABSOLUTELY shocked I went in here to eat food I ordered food I looked in the back the cook was sitting with his feet up on the counter on his phone . The young lady serving was very nice. Ordered my food and while waiting I watched the cook cut up raw chicken then with the same dirty knife cut up my brisket and place it on top of my Mac and cheese. The place is very dirty they have all there knives and tongs sitting in filth together. Good place to get sick and ruin your week ! He should be fired

Found the restaurant while googling a place to have dinner before seeing a show nearby. Small location but wow amazing food and service. We had the philly cheesesteak sandwiches with fries and sweet potatoes. The portions are huge so come hungry darling. We absolutely love it. This was real steak grilled to perfection with wonderful bbq sauce, peppers and onions mixed in on a crusty sub bun so the bread was not mushy. Extra sauce on the side. The fries were thick and crispy and a large portion. The sweet potato fries came with a nice sauce on the side. Loved that. We could not finish the fries so took those to go. The service is warm and welcoming. Lots of smiles. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. I was excited to learn there is also a Stoney Creek location. Thanks for a great meal!!

Great local spot for quality BBQ.

Stopped in here before a show at the Sanderson Center yesterday evening. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We ordered the brisket poutine which came with huge slabs of beef brisket on top and also ordered some ribs, fries, and onion rings. All the food was fresh to order. No complaints at all. Decent canned beer selection as well, maybe throw a few White Claws or Vodka Sodas in there for more selection.

I am a food courier and have delivered many delicious smelling meals to some pretty lucky people before trying it myself. My partner and I happened to be in the area one night and stopped in to try it ourselves. I was a little thrown off by the pricing but considering the portion size you get a ton of food that even I couldnt finish in one sitting and believe you me Ive been known to eat some buffets out of house and home... Great food! Great staff! Great music! I dont want to step on any possible copyright infringements when I say this, but you definitely Gotta eat here!

I ordered 2 full racks of ribs for pick up with only 15 minutes notice yesterday. They were ready when I arrived to pick them up and they told me there was a special of the day on half racks so they would give me that same deal which I really appreciated. The service was friendly and fast and the ribs were absolutely delicious! Fall off the bone and full of meat and smoky flavour. I would 100 percent recommend them to anyone and everyone! Thank you for a great meal! :)

My whole family was so pleased! I am so happy to have found this Stoney Creek bbq! The portions are amazing, the staff was fabulous and we will definitely be going back soon and often!

Grabbed take out on a Saturday night at the recommendation of a friend and we were really impressed. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. The servings were gigantic and so fresh and delicious. The ribs, pulled pork and chicken were all perfectly cooked and well sauced. The chilli, Mac and cheese fries and onion rings were equally fantastic. Even though they d sold out of cornbread, the staff recommended the garlic bread and through in an extra side of delicious coleslaw. Price was really reasonable. We ll be back!

So we ordered for the first time on Saturday as we were having a small gathering of approx 4 adults , 3 teens and a child. I selected the Bbq box combo with two sides and purchased an additional side. First off, I called initially on the Friday evening to to ask which item would be best to feed 6 to 7 adults and I was greeted and spoken to with nothing but one of the kindest attitudes. I regret not asking her name so I could credit her in this review. She even assured me that she would be at the restaurant the following day when I called back to place the order after 11am and would make sure it was taken care of. My husband went to pick up the food later on Saturday at 4pm and was provided with the same amazing service as I received over the phone. Now, the food . Holy moly I was not expecting the love the food as much as I did. Firstly, I love that they cut up all the meat so you and your guests can easily grab your portion, second it comes in solid catering foil pan and lid for easy warming in the oven. And finally every single bite we took from the chicken, to the ribs, to the brisket was smoked bbq heaven! Myself, my guests, including the kids loved it. The fries were seasoned and delicious (not soggy at all), the coleslaw and bbq beans were delicious! I m telling you right now from the service to the food, we will most certainly be back there very soon. To all of you at Uncle Sam s don t change a thing please! Keep doing what you re doing.

I have eaten plenty of bbq in my day, from Texas bbq to carolina bbq and I also do my own bbq on a kamado. I had ribs and chicken and it was ok at best, plus trying to a eat quarter chicken dinner with plastic forks that was supplied was absolutely useless. This was my first visit and I feel like I wasted 50 bucks. Will I return? Probably not.

We should have taken pictures but we were so hungry! We visited Uncle Sam s for the first time today. My wife and I shared a pulled pork poutine. It was OUT of THIS world. The sauce, with the gravy, and the melted cheese curds and crispy fries! We got it with 2 pops and could have probably fed another person! I highly recommend and we will definitely be back to try the next menu item

First time for us. Order for 4 adults. Delivery order thru an app. Not sure which was used, but came in good time. Order was correct. Oh my goodness, we were all raving and very pleased with our orders. Yup, raving. We don t usually think BBQ. It is now our favourite restaurant in town and one of our favourites in general. Lots of meat on the ribs, on chicken. We had brisket, pulled pork, sausage, ribs, chicken. Melt in your mouth. Delicious.The chicken with their bbq sauce was unbelievable good. Tender. Juicy. We all agreed it was our favourite. Holy smokes I said, we will NEVER go to Swiss chalet again! Everyone enjoyed their sides. I had caesar salad and the mac and cheese. Very good. The mac and cheese did not have the creamy cheese sauce like in one of their photos. More homestyle and much less cheese. It could be cheesier for my tastes. But still good. The caesar was very creamy. Very good. We were very pleased with their prices, and impressed with how much we got, and the high quality. My daughter announced this is now our go to/ special occasion restaurant. We didn t even think of taking pictures, we were enjoying it too much! Lol Recommended.

I ve been to about ten smokehouses in and around the GTA and tried Uncle Sam s last week. Hands down the best food and value out of any other place I ve been. Their ribs especially deserve a mentioning for their tenderness and great amount of meat on the bones. Their chicken is easily the best chicken I ve had from a BBQ joint. All sides rocked. New favourite spot in Brantford 100%. Can t recommend enough. Please don t ever change your ways, Uncle Sam s!

Was missing a slice of Calgary as Its not too common to come across BBQ restaurants around here. Came across U.Ss in a quick BBQ search and I was super excited to have the food match my expectations. I didnt dine-in so all I can speak on is : Their online order system is a breeze and their service (via phone was super helpful). I always ask for my sauce to be served on the side as I like to have a bite of just pure protein and everything was juicy, tender... The meats tasted good enough on their own without the sweet+tangy sauce - which was good, but I could take it or leave it. So happy to have found this place and i cant wait to dine in eventually. I recommend everything. So Get everything. Grandslam.

Just had our first of many meals here. We werent expecting that much from a BBQ place in Stoney Creek but it blew us away. The smoke they got on the brisket and chicken was superb!! The 1/2 chicken was huge and juicy! Voleslaw is creamy and a huge portion. And the sauce.....omg devine!! You must go. Trust me. Youll love it!

I recently discovered Uncle Sam s BBQ house. A charming hidden gem. Despite its small size, the flavors here are huge! We tried the chicken wings and half a chicken meal, and it was simply fantastic. The staff were friendly and the service was quick.

I have now dined in twice. I love the BBQ. I think the service is amazing. I wish they had more drink selection. Pulled Pork is wonderful. The BBQ sauce is just right. Coleslaw is refreshing. Chili is pretty amazing as well. Next time I go I will be checking out the ribs.

A sleeper BBQ joint that continues to surprise and satisfy. Better than any BBQ outside Slows in Detroit.

Wanted to try this place as you don t come across authentic bbq joints too often. I stopped in for lunch on my day off from work. I was surprised the place was empty as it was during the lunch hour. I ordered the lunch special which was a Cuban sandwich, and I chose Mac n cheese as the side. All in all everything was really good. The pulled pork on the sandwich was tasty, and the bun had a nice crunch from being grilled on the flattop. The Mac n cheese was creamy and was done right. I m eager to come back to try something from their large menu of smoked bbq meats. All in all everything was good and I would recommend you give it a try.

WOW! Im new in town, so it took me a bit to find this place... all i have to say is WOW! outstanding! I didnt catch the name of the nice lady at the front counter but she was a real sweetheart! Food is mouthwatering, like really though... my words dont do it justice, if you havent had this food... you havent lived yet. 100% recommend! Amazingggg place to order from for some real comfort foods. We ordered online for delivery. It was fast and price was worth it for sure. The portions were huge we ordered the pulled pork with sweet potato fries. They were incredible and the sauce was so yummy!! We also ordered the smash burger; absolutely the best burger I have ever had and the mashed potatoes were so delicious!! We will definitely be ordering again!! I ve never ordered somewhere and been so happy !! I must have said 20 times after my meal how amazing it was. And I ate the entire thing lol. Never happens. So so good highly recommend!!!!!!!

Came in for dinner today and ordered the grand slam, highly recommended. Everything was delicious and service was prompt, finger licking goodness. Definitely added some quality muscle tissue after this feast with leftovers to boot.

Just left Uncle Sam s Smoke House. Ordered the 3 mean. Ribs,chicken and brisket w mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. Also got an order of beans to go. OMG. Ribs were fall off the bone delish! So was the chicken. The brisket was lip smacking and the sides. Yummo! When we went to Texas be had Texis bbq ribs in San Antonio. Let me tell you this Brantford Gem is 150% BeTtEr! We are already planning what to order next.

The meats are delicious, the sides are tasty, the portions are generous, the sauce is slightly sweet, but you can have it on the side if you like. Takeout is popular but they do have a nice but small seating area if you want to eat in. No fountain beverages are available everything is bottled beverages from their cooler. They do have glasses if you ask. Service was very friendly and we got our food fast. Dietary restrictions: There are good gluten-free choices.

We were looking for some comfort food on the first night we moved, ordered a pulled pork sandwich, pulled pork poutine and a pound of pulled pork. Everything was delicious from the pulled pork down to the bun it came on! Only reason its not 5 stars is because in the sandwich we found a small peice of plastic. Dont get me wrong I still finished the sandwich but just a little surprised we found the plastic.

I heard really great things about this restaurant so today I decided to try it out. I thought this place sold hot dogs; which was my reasoning for going in today and they only sold sausages in between a baguette. The lady that greeted us, asked if this was our first time visiting and we said yes. The sausage was okay but the customer service was really disappointing. The lady knew it was our first time and we didn t understand the menu fully. To make a long story short, there was a lot of miscommunication and we left without getting everything we wanted such as condiments. I kept asking questions like can I get the cheese on my sausage and she s like I can put a little bit . If I had to pay for it, she could ve just explained what condiments were included or extra and I would ve paid. We wanted ketchup and mayo on all 3 sausages, we got it on only 1. I really had high expectations for Uncle Sam s, therefore, I just wanted to see and try it for myself. I hope the customer service is better for this reader. Response to owner: As I mentioned above, it s the miscommunication. All you had to do was TELL ME WHAT CAME WITH IT AND WHAT S EXTRA AND I WOULD VE PAID. That s all. We were genuinely confused during the entire transaction. Please don t come after me because you didn t communicate properly.

First time visiting Uncle Sam s Smoke House in Brantford. Right when you get in you re greeted by Lily the cashier, she was very friendly and recommended the proper amount of food for us. We ordered the Grand Slam and a side order of two pieces of fried chicken. I would highly recommend the brisket and my kids enjoyed the Mac and cheese and corn bread. Oliver was very friendly and was the one preparing the food. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back. Thanks guys

I m an out of towner and discovered Uncle Sam s through my niece. It easily rivals Rick s Barbecue in Vegas. I ve had the brisket and chicken and both were tender, juicy and succulent. Large portions. Excellent cornbread and sweet potato fries. The best restaurant bbq I ve had in Canada.

Ordered a half rack combo and a side of onion rings. The ribs were burnt and had very little meat that didnt taste like charcoal. When I took the meal out of the bag and opened it up you could smell the burnt char more than the sauce. I added a star because the fries and rings were good and the last time I ordered I got pulled pork and that was also good. Edit - the staff got ahold of me after I posted this review and offered an apology and replacement meal at my convenience. Great customer service and response to criticism.

In a word Bona-fide. After one brisket sandwich I Gained a solid appreciation for NASCAR, moonshine and noodling (look it up) But seriously best BBQ north of the Mason Dixon line. Food

What a great little gem of a BBQ restaurant!! Our usual BBQ place was booked solid, so we gave this a try and WOW! The brisket was so tender, the smoked wings were amazing...the fries and onion rings were perfectly crispy!! We watched the super friendly staff work together busily through a constant flow of orders and cook it up while singing and slinging! We will definitely be back! SO GOOD!!

A restaurant with bowls of chicken, pork, and brisket. I ordered chicken. The BBQ sauce goes perfectly with the smoked chicken and is delicious! I thought it was just rice under the meat, but it turned out to be mac and cheese and finely chopped vegetables! You can taste the shock and deliciousness. recommendation!

this place deserves nothing less than 5 stars - great freshly cooked food (try their beef ribs if you ever get a chance), awesome selection of sides and a great tasting sauce! glad somewhere in Brantford opened up. They have a rib truck as well

the Ribs are good I dont like the Chicken Ive made BBQ Chicken mine was better it was just not full of flavor and looked like it was baked. Ill not buy the Chicken again just Ribs. Food

The grand slam should get a name change. Try the strike out. The large sides arent in any way large. 1 1/2 chicken is definitely not what I received. Food tastes really good but the value is questionable. Properly sized sides for a dinner that should feed 4+ people wouldve been nice

This has to be the best place me and my family has ever ate, everything is good and real food, the good food would be good enough to go and eat, but it s the workers that make the place even better.

Its Brantfords summer, somethings smoking in the air. I can smell it, all the way from my lawn chair. This smell, its emitting somewhere from Brantfords down town. I need to investigate, I need to get around. Traveling through Dalhousie (Dal·hau·zee), I knew I was getting close. The scent of barbecue, straight to my nose. After a few sniffs, it finally all started to click. It was coming from Uncle Sams, I better act quick. People in Brantford say, Uncle Sams is the best. Going to try for myself, going to put them to the test. Firing up barbecue Ribs, Chickens or others. Such a vast selection, my heart flutters. Serving those award winning meats, straight from the pit. I can tell by looking, its going to be a hit. After looking at the menu, the family ordered the Grand Slam. Just look at all this food, holy heck goddammm. Included is a vast array of meats, even including two sides. This can feed an entire army, I cant believe my eyes. The meal was spread open (on the table), sweat running down my face. I better cut it out, this groups not the place. Filled up my trough, not once but twice. Money well spent, well worth the price. Enough leftovers, its going to last for several days. Reheat with the microwave/oven/fryer, recook in different ways. Meals so delicious, youd shout out and cheer. What are you waiting for, why arent you here. All this food and rhyming, its been a lot of fun. Stick a fork in me fam, cause now I am done! Mic drop

Great bbq place , I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries which was soo good. The sweet potato fries came with a delicious dip to dip them in was like a spicy mayo. The sandwich was huge , enough to feed two people , my friend had the poutine n it looked great as well will have to try it the next time i go

tried Uncle Sams @ Burlington Ribfest. It was by far the best ribs out of the competition. The ribs were fall off the bone, with a BBQ sauce that wasnt overly sweet ( Im diabetic) and the beans were awesome too(my husband even says they are better than his moms) I guess we are driving to Brantford next

Ribs are 3 days old and dried up, the worst brisket i ever tasted, chicken tasted liked it was sitting there for 4 days , I do not recommend this place

Garlic pan bread, two meat combo with chicken & brisket. Mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. Snack pack with corn from Uncle Sam s Smoke House on Dalhousie. Mmmmmmmmmm......... This is a great place to order from. Will make the effort to dine in soon.

We ordered 5 meals off Skip the Dishes, and the portions are huge! We have enough for 2 meals. The food was delicious and delivered quickly. We were missing an item, and when I called they fixed the problem immediately and no question about it. They delivered the missing items and added a surprise, and the food was still hot being delivered 25 minutes away. Wouldn t definitely recommend and will be ordering it again.

Been in a couple times now: hands down the best smoked wings and ribs Ive ever had. Ribs are super tender and juicy, the wings are crispy but also have just the right amount of chew, and the flavours of the sauce and the meat are to die for. Excited to try other things on the menu but havent had a chance because the ribs and wings are just too good to not order. 10/10 would recommend and worth driving in from neighbouring cities to try.

I just ordered on Skip and it was so good hands down the best it was so warm and so delicious the pulled pork and the corn bread and the smash burgers oh my god the best thing I have ever tasted they have so much more on the menu. they got the best workers they all work so hard it is so good and a must try and I can wait to get more of Uncle Sams.

This was amazing bbq food, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the Brantord area. The staff was exceptional and very friendly.

It s not often that Brantford gets a true gem for dining out, and I was surprised by how amazing this place is. The ribs are perfectly smoked, perfect chew, with unbelievable flavour. I ordered the full slab with a side of Mac and cheese which was also delicious, and you are getting what you pay for. Also 15% off for Laurier students! I didn t order the chicken but I saw the pit dude cutting up an order of chicken, and I will absolutely be trying that next time. Not to mention, the staff behind the counter are wonderful, which makes for a great visit. Thanks guys!!

All I can say is WOW WOW WOW! The menu saying their ribs are as juicy as watermelon werent wrong. I think this food might make watermelons jealous. The staff at Uncle Sams were very inviting. On our first order, our food was ready quickly. They gave us a free bbq sauce, which Ive put on almost everything since then. The portion sizes were ginormous!!! Everyone was delighted with their meals and Ive been anxiously waiting to go back. The cornbread wasnt too dry or crumbly. It was a nice texture. We tried the baked beans, which was a a different spice profile than the brisket or BBQ and equally delightful. Cant wait to go back! Oliver and Lily are wonderful.

Amazing food great quality best in town

Surprisingly we dont eat at many BBQ joints so I dont have much to compare it to. We ordered brisket, ribs, beans, slaw and a corn bread to go since they dont have a liquor license yet. Everything was very good with the meat a little on the salty side but we dont use much salt at home so were not used to it. The BBQ sauce was excellent and the service friendly. The portions are big and prices decent. We will go back for sure.

Walked out with a pulled pork sandwich in less than 5 minutes. In those 5 minutes, they impressed me with their friendliness and their champagne-scented hand sanitizer. Delicious food, $14 will feed a small family for 2 days.

I went for the first time this evening with my brother and what an unreal experience! Firstly, the place is extremely clean and has a great atmosphere for dining in or taking out. The staff were super personable, fast and friendly. The beef rib I got was tender, filled with flavour and massive! The corn bread is hands down best I ve ever had! Oh and they also sell beer so you can enjoy a cold one with your BBQ! They thought of it all here! I highly recommend this place. 100% best BBQ in Brantford!

Glad, we found this newly-opened smoke house! We just recently moved to Brantford from Cambridge and we are delighted to stumble upon this little gem! You can never go wrong with their ribs and their pulled pork sammy. My hubby and I throughly enjoyed it!

Went here for lunch...new restaurant in downtown Brantford. Ordered to pulled pork on a bun!!! You gotta try it out!! Well worth the money ... Lots of pork, awesome BBQ sauce. If you havent been, you gotta go. Looking forward to next visit myself.

I ordered a family meal so we could try a variety of products. We enjoyed everything except the bread and chili, but that is just down to personal tastes, not quality. I loved the pulled pork and my husband loved the chicken. The kids, well, it is meat so they loved it all

This is by far the BEST BBQ food restaurant that my husband and I have been too!!! The food is delicious, the portions you get for the price are amazing and the staff is always friendly! We have been to a lot of BBQ places in Ontario but this our favourite by far. So much so, that we drive 45 minutes to come to this restaurant! We highly recommend Uncle Sam s!!!!!!

Decided to try this out for lunch and was not disappointed! Was shocked at how big the portion sizes were, and the price I paid to eat was fantastic! The pulled pork is insanely good, and the bun they paired the sandwich with was so soft and warm.The greek salad portion was a pleasant surprise as I have never seen a salad made with that size ingredients! Tender, tasty rib, flavourful coslaw and mashed potato. We had a full rack and three sides which was enough for two adults and a kid. Reasonable price for the portion. First time here, highly recommend it!!!
