Thoroughly enjoyed being taken out to this place by my son for belated 65th Birthday meal. TIEN helped us enjoy our experience had our Bubble tea and many different tasty morsels. Seaweed and miso soup followed by eel sushi, mocha cheese balls, teriyaki beef stick. Custard balls and matcha ice cream. Sorry no photos we got carried away eating.

Sushi was delightful as always, and their waiters/waitresses were professional and kind.

Came here for lunch one day and went home happy and full. Staff was quick to bring our orders and food was fresh and delicious.

Came here on July 8th for dinner at 330. Got in and was seated right away. They didnt have much options for rolls as I am a picky eater but food was good overall. Miso soup was a bit salty and the soy sauce. They were definately accomadatjng to my daughter and niece as they were loud and messy lol. Will come back when we visit brantford again

The food was bland. Even the sushi, the seafood the rice, the pat thai noodles. Very small portions as well. For $40 per pax, it was not worth it. Drinks were okay, dessert as well was okay. For us, it was not valuable for money. will definitely not go there again.

We have ordered from Joy Sushi twice now and really liked the sushi we ordered. Sometimes when you order handrolls from other sushi places the Salmon or Tuna is all chopped up in a sauce but not in the case of Joy Sushi - the handrolls here have good slices of tuna or salmon in them. Also, we love their Dragon Rolls. The best part is their online ordering system. Easy to use and you can choose a time for pick up. Great experience overall.

Third time visiting this place with a lsrger group and theres always food ordered that is not actually brought to the table but got charged for it, or mixed up between groups, not sure why is so hard to keep it straight when ordering is through an ipad that has an ID assigned.

Fast and fresh. Something for everyone. Our go to for some all you can eat Asian food.

Food is okay. Soy sauce barely has any taste or saltiness to it. The tempura items and meat skewers are great, but actual sushi was not. The hand rolls have too much rice in them. The nigiri/sushi has very thin pieces of fish. Sashimi was inconsistent. Some pieces very fresh and tasty and some tasted like they were just defrosted and were not cut nicely. On the good side, staff were very nice and hospitable. Price is not bad either.

Stopped in for takeout. Got the lunch special for $13. My choice was yam roll and green dragon roll. Quick, friendly service, food was perfect, wish they opened earlier (my only complaint).

Food was ok, not great sushi. The wasabi, ginger and soy sauce are very weak. Quiet pricey at almost $60 for 1 drink and dinner for the quality. Service was excellent.

The food was amazing. I dont eat sushi at all, so i avoided this place. Finally went because i was shown the menu online, and they had more than Sushi. Its a neat setup. It was all you could eat, but you dont have to ever leave your table. The waiter/waitress does it all. You order from a tablet at your table.. one plate of these three plates of this... the tablet shows a photo of the food and how many you get. For example, if you get handrolled sushi, it may say one... but if you order another like California spring roll, you may get three to a plate...but you can order as many as you want.

We rather enjoyed bringing our daughter here for her birthday. The only issue I noticed was some of their meats had a lot of fat and grissle. I dont enjoy this. What I did enjoy the most was the spicy selections in the sushi. Very well made and delicious. Ty again

Not sure when they started doing this but when I was here in January 2023, they offer 50% AYCE if you are celebrating your birthday. This offer is valid the whole week of your birthday. Joy Sushi is our go to sushi place. Their prices for AYCE (dinner) might be in the pricier side compared to other locations but for the quality and variety it is worth it. Plus the prices for take out are pretty reasonable. The staff is friendly. You order through an iPad, there are pictures and sometimes descriptions to help people trying the menu for the first time. The sashimi is good size and nice and cool (doesnt taste like ice chips unlike in some lesser places), the rolls are delicious (Red Dragon roll and Rock and Roll are highly recommended), the chicken/beef skewers are very tender and the shrimp tempura are light and crispy (not over battered). New foods were added to the menu for 2023. Like the skewered pork belly and fried dumplings. Always leave room for dessert! Lots of little desserts to try. Some of the teppanyaki, like the beef with garlic, I wouldnt recommend as they tend to come out too well done to the point that they are very chewy and dry.

A great lunch with a friend. Try the green tea ice cream!

First sushi weve tried since moving out of Toronto. This place doesnt compare to our old local favourites, however, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the food was alright. No signs of food poisoning yet! We didnt realize that it was solely an all-you-can-eat restaurant. At $36 per adult to eat dinner in the restaurant, not including taxes, gratuities, drinks, etc., its a little pricey if you dont have a large appetite, or cant ignore your body that youre full! They do offer takeout, but certain cuisines are just far better (such as this) when its not takeout.

First time for us trying out Joy Sushi Bar on Wayne Gretzky Parkway in Brantford, we made reservations prior and were seated immediately as we arrived. We came in a fairly large group. Our waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Service was quick, we all had our drinks within minutes. Once we started ordering via their IPad setup, the food started to come pretty quick even though they were fairly busy. Everything we ordered was great, we ordered a wide array of items as well as a fair quantity. Overall impressed with this place and will definitely be back again at some point.

Best sushi in Brantford

Good food quality. Service is quick and friendly enough. What brings down the rating is the unreasonable pricing structure. The adult prices are more or less on par with other similar restaurants. However, the kids are all charged the same price and doesnt make sense; for example, does it make sense to charge a 6 year old the same amount as a 10 year old? We frequent a restaurant chain called August 8 in Oakville, Burlington, and Stoney Creek. They have same or better quality of food and kids are charged by age (I think $1.50 per year). For a family of 6, this makes a pretty sizeable difference. When we go to Joy Sushi, we end up paying about $50 more for roughly about the same quality of food. So needless to say, we try to go to August 8 as often as we can manage instead of Joy Sushi. A shame really because JS is so close to home and we would frequent it a lot more if the prices were more reasonable. JS, please adopt the age based pricing structure for kids. 2023 Update: The pricing hasnt changed, but the food has. Im bumping this up to 4 stars. While August 8ths quality has plummeted, Joy Sushis quality has improved. I hadnt gone back in a while and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff now wear all matching black uniforms and though it doesnt effect the food, it changes the atmosphere (no more track pants and slippers).

Such great food! We drive half an hour for this place because its so good. Weve been for both lunch and dinner and the quality and assortment has been great. The food is always consistent and extremely fresh. The servers are always friendly and prompt. It is the only place I actually eat sashimi! Although it can be pricey it is worth it for the variation of food they offer and the quality.

I recently dined at an all-you-can-eat sushi bar and had an amazing experience! The variety and quality of sushi were outstanding, with fresh ingredients and beautifully crafted presentations. The service was friendly and attentive, and the value for money was excellent. I highly recommend trying an all-you-can-eat sushi bar for a fantastic sushi feast!

I loved it here and I will be back. Nice all you can eat sushi place. The dinner was $40 but well worth it. My only issue was the orders coming out piece meal and at times I got food I didnt order or didnt get food I did order. I still left highly satisfied and will be remembering this next time I am in the area.

Tried their dinner buffet. The service is great. You dont have to get up to experience the buffet. You simply order from the tab they give you and wait for the food to be delivered to the table. The service is fast. There werent any long wait times between placing orders and receiving the food. The food is great and tasty. The spider and california rolls are great Meat options are great. Its worth it for the buffet price! Recommend!

Been here a few times and it was great. Last experience a few days ago was awful. The sushi was terrible. The rice was overcooked and mushy -- made everything taste awful. The salmon was pale and tasted like Costco salmon. Ruined my experience. Wait staff was great as usual so I tipped accordingly -- not their fault. Just really disappointed in the food.

High prices, food isnt great, very small menu of rolls, quick service, good service. Poor maintance of tables and chairs, disappointed last two visits wont return.

This is a regular spot for our family. Awesome rice-filler ratio, sashimi is to die for consistently, skewers are . I could go on. The taro mousse . I have given this place way too much of my money this last 5 years. 4.7 stars.

This is my familys go Sushi place in Brantford hands down. If you are ordering take-out pay cash and take advantage of the discount!! Edit: I had an error with my pick up order. Cora who was very nice answered the phone and helped with the issue. 10/10 customer service and resolution.

After much persuasion, I talked my spouse into dining here with me. (Hes just more of a hamburger type guy but he finally agreed to go.) I had reviewed the website before going. It wasnt until we drove there and were seated that we found out that its all you can eat only. Ordering off the menu is for take-out only. This was not clear from the website. Im a lighter eater so paying the all you can eat price is not worth it for me. So we ordered take-out off the menu. I got the Bento box with Tempura. I feared the tempura would be soggy once we drove somewhere to find a place to eat it. Sure enough, it was soggier than it would typically be if consumed when piping hot. Overall, we were not happy with the taste of the food either. Disappointing & frustrating experience.

Excellent all you can eat experience

Had an amazing birthday dinner tonight at Joy Sushi. Had never been before, but the food and service was amazing and we will definitely be back. I have to mention our server Cora. Always refilling our water and making sure we were happy with everything. An overall fantastic experience!

Overall experience deserved a 5-star. For brantford and the price point it was overall good. The service was quick and the staff were great. The food was not that bad either.

Went here for lunch. Service was amazing, fast and everyone was kind. And the decor and tables are great. However the food came out cold, it was bland compared to other sushi places Ive eaten, and also expensive compared to the quality from other places Ive eaten. Couldnt stay for dessert we were a little upset. It was okay, not great but okay. Also very small selection for lunch menu. Rice in the sushi for some reason felt off balance. I dont know why. It seems fresh. Could have been an off time of day, but thats how it was.

truly an amazing place to eat with family and friends

Went here to try sushi and rolls at this restaurant as I have tried many different restaurants in the Waterloo area. Frankly, it wasnt worth going here. I did not like the fact that the fish here is not tasty, it has a smell and a metallic taste, which I do not like. I ordered here not only one type of rolls or sushi, so it was not an impression but a fact. I also ordered Miso soup and Latte bubble tea here. The miso soup was tasty. The bubble tea latte was not. I have not seen this before. It separated into 3 layers, where the topping was on the bottom with bubbles, the middle was just sweetened milk and on top a couple of centimeters of foam that collapsed into small pieces. The bubbles were not chewable, I had to chew them for so long that I thought it would be better to just spit them out. The fish here is not fresh, which specifically affects my rating. I paid $50 for lunch with tip. I will never go here again.

Great assortments of sushi and other things, very nice place on the inside, around $40 for all you can eat for 1 person, drinks excluded. You use a tablet for ordering, which was a different experience. Was quite crowded. Would recommend. Overall I give 7.75/10

A satisfactory experience. Most dishes tasted fine with the rare cucumber-in-eel-rolls-with-more-eel-sauce-than-eel instances. The delivery time was reasonable. The menu has good variety and has stuff thats rarely found in my neck of wood (e.g. scallop sashimi). I would visit again if I were in the area again. Good dishes include the seared sushi (especially shrimp), the chicken and shrimp skewers, beef tataki, sweet shrimp, mango pudding/yogart, and squid tentacles.

JOY sushi is my go-to sushi place and Im always pleased with my orders. I normally order take-out and I like that they have a discount for paying cash.

Customer service is excellent. The fact that they give you a tablet to order from is so convenient. That makes it an enjoyable and unique dining experience. They make sure you have a good amount of condiments. They don t cheap out, which is great! I just wished that they accepted debit as well. Thank God they have an ATM machine, because I m quite forgetful when it comes to bringing in cash. The only sushi place I will dine in Brantford. Highly recommended.

Food is generally pretty good and they deliver to your table within minutes. Atnosphere is too chaotic...need plants/dividers etc. Excellent variety of things to try!

Great sushi! Its basically the same as spring sushi or August 8 in hamilton but in brantford instead. I highly recommend if you have that craving for good sushi Parking: Large large parking lot thats shared with a few other big stores. Theres always spaces close by, one Saturday a few months ago we had to park almost half way to the next store but Saturday is their busy day its to be expected.
